OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew Garfield appears to have dismissed rumours ‘La La Land’ is based on his relationship with Emma Stone.
The actor, 41, starred with Emma, 35, in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ films and many of their fans are convinced her 2016 film ‘La La Land’, in which she starred opposite Ryan Gosling, 43, was inspired by their real-life relationship from 2011 to 2015.
He has now told Esquire when asked about the gossip: “I guess people need something to believe in.”
‘La La Land’ came out in December 2016, more than one year after People confirmed Andrew and Emma had split in October 2015.
The musical romance – written and directed by 39-year-old Damien Chazelle – charts the relationship between Emma’s aspiring actress character Mia, and jazz musician Sebastian, played by Ryan.
They both end up successes, but their relationship doesn’t last.
Andrew didn’t work on the movie, yet fans insists on saying his romance with Emma formed the basis for the plot of the film, which went on to win six Academy Awards in 2017.
Andrew added to Esquire he always intends on remaining private.
He said: “I have never, and I won’t ever, speak about or confirm or deny anything about my personal life with anyone, ever.
After his romance with Emma ended, Andrew was linked to model Alyssa Miller, 35, and more recently has been dating writer and spiritual advisor Kate Tomas.
They were spotted holding hands on what appeared to be a double date night with Phoebe Bridgers, 30, and Bo Burnham, 34, in Malibu, Caliornia, in March – and been seen together a string of times since that get-together.
Emma married her husband comedian husband David McCary, 39, in 2020.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has issued a denial from jail after 120 alleged victims came forward against him with sexual assault claims.
The Bad Boy Records founder, 54, who is jailed in New York awaiting trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges, was hit with a raft of new allegations at a shocking press conference held on Tuesday. (01.10.24.)
Lawyers say the alleged victims are set to file multiple lawsuits detailing allegations of sexual assault that span over 25 years – and include women and men that were underage at the time of the reported assaults.
Following the announcement of the accusations in Texas, an attorney for Combs said the rapper cannot “address every meritless allegation” in what they branded “a reckless media circus”.
The attorney added: “That said, Mr Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.
“He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”
Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee said he expects the fresh wave of lawsuits to be filed within the next month.
Most are expected to be filed in New York and Los Angeles.
Mr Buzbee described the victims as 60 males and 60 females – adding 25 were minors at the time of the alleged misconduct.
One individual alleged he was aged nine when he was abused, and the allegations cover a period from 1991 to this year.
Mr Buzbee said during the press conference: “This type of sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation should never happen in the United States or anywhere else.
“This should have never been allowed to go on for so long.
“This conduct has created a mass of individuals who are injured, scared and scarred.”
Combs has been locked up at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since pleading not guilty on 17 September to federal charges on sex trafficking and racketeering.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennie Garth suffered two consecutive miscarriages after she got married to her husband Dave Abrams.
The ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ actress, 52, who has daughters Luca, 27, Lola, 21, and Fiona, 18, with her actor ex Peter Facinelli, 50, got hitched to Dave in 2015 it’s now emerged she lost two children directly after they tied the knot.
She said on her iHeart podcast ‘I Choose Me with Jennie Garth’ alongside Dave: “This is a pretty vulnerable topic, and I really appreciate you being open to talking about it because I think it could help some people.
“What point in our relationship did we start talking about maybe wanting to have kids together?”
Dave said: “Well, if you remember, we got married on July 11, and then we got pregnant that same month.”
Jennie said: “We got pregnant naturally,” with Dave adding: “Yeah. We got back from Carmel. We went to a little mini honeymoon to Carmel up in Monterey. And like two weeks later, you were pregnant.
“Well, we went to Nancy, your doctor, the gynaecologist, and yeah, we were good to go.
“And then that lasted almost four months. And then, you know, we found out. “Yeah, we found out that there was no heartbeat.”
Jennie said about her miscarriages: “I think I remember them saying we could just wait and let it work its way – let nature take its course, or we could do the procedure.
“And we opted to do the procedure because it was just too much for me to carry a baby that had been terminated.”
Dave added about Jennie’s second miscarriage: “But then it happened again.
“So that one was shorter. I remember we had to switch doctors. And this one was only, you know, you found out you got pregnant.
“And then this was only like a month and a half. I think the doctor at the time was like, ‘Well, it’s not going to be healthy anyway’… and then by that time, I think it had definitely taken an emotional toll which we didn’t know how to communicate at the time.
“So we kind of just wrapped it up and then other things kind of came in the fold.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sabrina Carpenter feels “so prepared” for fame.
The ‘Nonsense’ singer, 25, shot to fame as a teen starring in ‘Girl Meets World’, and has gone on to combine acting with her hit music career, which recently saw her perform at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.
She told Time magazine about how being a child star has helped her embrace the spotlight: “I grew up watching those (MTV VMA) performances and being like, ‘I want to do that’.
Sabrina added about her appearance at the event was “another dream realised” after thinking she would never make it to perform at the awards.
She said: “It all just seemed so – not even out of reach, just like I had a different plan in my head of when it was all supposed to happen.”
Sabrina then told about how she is able to embrace fame: “I feel so prepared for these moments.
“If I was even 17 or 18, I think I would have been way, way more nervous and intimidated.”
She added she “literally threw up” when she found out she was going to be a musical guest on ‘Saturday Night Live’.
And she said she’d feel the same way if she could perform at the Grammy Awards.
Sabrina also reflected on how embracing her sexuality in her work has exposed her to similar criticism faced by Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera in their careers.
When asked if she receives the same type of resistance as the two stars, she said, “No, I definitely get that as well… but you’ll still get the occasional mother that has a strong opinion on how you should be dressing.
“And to that I just say, ‘Don’t come to the show’, and that’s OK.
“It’s unfortunate that it’s ever been something to criticise, because truthfully, the scariest thing in the world is getting up on a stage in front of that many people and having to perform as if it’s nothing.
“If the one thing that helps you do that is the way you feel comfortable dressing, then that’s what you’ve got to do.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kris Kristofferson chose his epitaph years before his death.
The country icon died aged 88 at his home in Miami on Saturday (28.09.24), and an interview in which late musician Leonard Cohen revealed how Kris told him he wanted his lyrics on his tombstone has now resurfaced in the wake of his passing.
Leonard – who died aged 82 in 2016 – told an interviewer: “Kris Kristofferson informed me that I had stolen part of the melody for (‘Bird on a Wire’) from another Nashville writer.
“He also said that he’s putting the first couple of lines on his tombstone – and I’ll be hurt if he doesn’t.”
The first few lines of Leonard’s song go: “Like a bird on the wire, Like a drunk in a midnight choir, I have tried in my way to be free.”
Leonard is said to have played ‘Bird on a Wire’ more than any other song in his back catalogue, frequently opening his concerts with the anthem.
He said about the track’s spiritual impact on him: “It seems to return me to my duties. It was begun in Greece and finished in a motel in Hollywood around 1969, along with everything else. Some lines were changed in Oregon.”
But Leonard said no matter how often he played it he could never “seem to get it perfect”.
Kris died peacefully at his home three years after he retired from the entertainment business.
He was remembered by his family in an emotional statement posted on Instagram that said: “It is with a heavy heart that we share the news our husband/father/grandfather, Kris Kristofferson, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28 at home.
“We’re all so blessed for our time with him. Thank you for loving him all these many years, and when you see a rainbow, know he’s smiling down at us all.”
The statement was signed ‘Family of Kris Kristofferson’, and it added: “The family asks for privacy during this time.”
Kris is survived by his wife Lisa, his eight children and seven grandchildren.

OHMYGOSSIP — Denzel Washington is said to have told Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs he doesn’t “respect” anyone during a furious row at one of the rapper’s parties.
The Oscar-winning actor, 69, was reportedly partying with the 54-year-old rapper – who is in jail in New York awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering – in 2003 when the alleged bust-up kicked off.
A source told Us Weekly Denzel screamed: “You don’t respect anyone” at Combs – adding: “(Denzel and his wife Pauletta Washington) had been partying until dawn (with Diddy), and they had seen something and stormed out.”
Denzel and Combs were seen out together on a string of occasions around a decade ago, including at the 2001 Essence Awards as well as former US President Barack Obama’s first inauguration in 2009 and NBA games.
It is unclear what the men were fighting about, and there is no indication the apparent row was linked to Combs’ criminal charges.

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Bynes is launching her own “pop-up art show”.
The former Nickelodeon star – who first appeared on ‘All That’ before finding fame on ‘The Amanda Show’ – is making moves in the fashion world after working with designer Austin Babbitt on her own original artwork.
She told People that they are “working on doing a pop-up art show in December” which will feature “art and clothing”.
The pair have already collaborated on a t-shirt with a drawing of a woman on the back, as well as a pair of shorts available in white, grey or black.
In 2019, the ‘Easy A’ actress, 38, successfully finished her studies at California’s Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), which she said has now “paid off”.
Showing off her work on Instagram, she wrote: “My associate’s of art degree majoring in product development at FIDM paid off.”
The new project comes over four years after Amanda revealed her goals of designing a fashion collection after she graduated from FIDM.
She told her followers at the time: “Sup, Instagram. Just wanted to say hi to all of my followers; I really wanted to say I appreciate you so much for supporting me.
“I’m really looking forward to starting my clothing line, and I’m hoping that in the near future it will be out online.”
Amanda – who quit the acting industry altogether after enduring a number of personal problems – recently revealed that she is thrilled with the way her social media presence has grown.
Alongside a screenshot of statistics, she wrote: “Wow this is so kool.”
The data showed that that Amanda’s Instagram page had had 14 million visits in the last four weeks, and that there had been a 512 percent increase on the number of viewers looking at her content, giving her a new total of nearly 2.4 million.
The ‘Hairspray’ star – who made her last on-screen appearance in the 2010 romcom ‘Easy A’ – has just over 515,000 followers on the platform, but almost 60 percent of her views came from those who do not follow her to begin with.
The figures also showed that Amanda’s latest Reel – which featured her showing off a new set of blue nails – clocked in as her top piece of content having attained 4.5 million views.
In December last year, the ‘She’s The Man’ actress – who split from her fiancee Paul Michael in July 2022 after three years together – landed her own podcast but pulled the plug on it after just one episode having decided to pursue a more steady job.

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew Garfield quit competitive gymnastics because it wasn’t “a childhood”.
The ‘We Live In Time’ actor grew up expecting to be an athlete as he even started working with a Russian coach in gruelling sessions which saw the teacher sit on his back while he did the splits.
However, he recalled thinking as a 12-year-old boy: “This is not a childhood.”
He decided to step away from the world of gymnastics, as well as his father Richard’s “value system at the time”.
Andrew, now 41, described the decision as “the first rebellion against my dad and his value system at the time: success and gold medals above any sense of joy, comfort, or pleasure”.
The ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ star did move into swimming instead, as his dad had become a successful coach in the sport, but he wasn’t truly satisfied.
He explained: “It was like this Truman Show feeling where you’re like, ‘I feel there is more. And I can’t identify what that more is, but I know it exists, and if it doesn’t exist, I am in big trouble.’ ”
His dad Richard admitted “everything he touches he’s very talented at”, while his mother Lynne encouraged him to explore his creative side before he finally settled on acting.
Sadly, she died in 2019 from cancer, and he has previously admitted he found it difficult to accept what happened after the last few years.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “There’s so many moments, of course, that I’ve had in the last five years of saying, ‘Well, she shouldn’t have died. My mother shouldn’t have died so young, and she shouldn’t have died in suffering, and she shouldn’t, she shouldn’t, shouldn’t, shouldn’t.’
“It’s so arrogant of me. It’s so egotistical of me when I’m in those moments. And it’s human.
“I’m not shaming myself for it. It’s a human response, because it it doesn’t make sense, it feels unjust, it feels unfair.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘General Hospital’ star Ron Hale has died aged 78.
The actor – who was well known for playing Mike Corbin on the soap – died at in his home in St George, South Carolina, while a cause of death has not yet been confirmed, while an online obituary revealed he passed away on August 27.
An online obituary read: “Ronald Hale Thigpen, 78, of St. George, passed away on August 27, 2024.
“Ronald was born on January 2, 1946, in Grand Rapids, Michigan a son of the late James Ray Thigpen, Sr. and Elinor Jane Doerr Thigpen. He attended Furman University and was an actor of stage, television and movies. He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
“He appeared in many plays with Columbia’s Trustus Theatre which was started by his brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Kay Thigpen. He also starred in soap operas, Ryan’s Hope as Dr. Rodger Coleridge and on General Hospital as Mike Corbin.”
In light of the sad news, many stars have paid tribute to the late actor, who also appeared on ‘Port Charles’, ‘Ryan’s hope’ and ‘Search for Tomorrow’.
In a statement, the official X account for ‘General Hospital’ said: “The entire General Hospital Family is saddened to hear of Ron Hale’s passing. We would like to extend our condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time. He was an incredible actor and an unforgettable colleague. May he rest in peace.”
‘Days of Our Lives’ star Billy Warlock shared his condolences for Ron on social media: “It’s with a heavy heart that we’ve lost another great one. My dear friend Ron Hale has passed away. Ron was an amazing talent and an even better friend. I will miss you.”

The 34-year-old sports star has landed his first role as a television host for the Amazon Prime show ‘Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?’ – which is a spin-off of ‘Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?’ – and he is thriving as a presenter due to his love for the format.
Travis told ‘Extra’: “I’ll tell you what, I enjoyed game shows as a kid so maybe this is the lane. I’m enjoying it today.
“When I was a kid, I used to literally play hooky from school… I used to sit there and just watch game shows all day and it’s always been something for me and I always imagined I would enjoy it and sure enough as I’m doing it today, I’m enjoying it.
“I’d say the STEM, science, math, things like that, that’s kind of where my realm is and I just stay in there. But any history questions, I’m like, ‘I don’t know if anybody knows that,’ and sure enough, everybody does but me.”
Each episode will see an adult contestant who will rely on a classroom full of celebrities from stage, screen, and sports to help them answer 11 questions on a range of topics, pulled from elementary curriculum, in an effort to win a $100,000 prize.
The NFL Kansas City Chiefs player- who is dating Taylor Swift – also revealed that he finds it hard not to jump in and help the contestants on the show.
He added: “They will fire me if I give them any help. I have to be up here with a poker face because there is a lot of money on the line. But you already know, it’s in my heart to help everyone out. I’m a team player. I’m a team player.”
Travis shared that he thinks his brother Jason – who used to play in the NFL – would do well as a contestant on the show.
He said: “He was very studious. He was an honors student, he tested well and all that and everything. He decided to be in all advanced classes. I was like that’s too much homework for me! But yeah, Jason, I think he would do pretty good. I’ll be interested to hear him talk about it when he sees it (sic).”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Smith admitted it “breaks [his] heart” that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have split.
The 54-year-old writer-and-director – who was among the guests at the couple’s wedding celebration in Georgia two years ago – wishes the couple had been able to work out their issues because they are both great people.
Kevin told People magazine that Ben is “one of [his] favourite people on the planet” and he thinks the 55-year-old singer-and-actress is “wonderful too”.
He added: “And if they’re not going forward, that breaks my heart and stuff, but I’ve always adored him.”
The filmmaker has worked with Ben 52, numerous times over the years, including on 1995’s ‘Mallrats’, ‘Chasing Amy’ (1997), ‘Dogma’ (1999) and 2001’s ‘Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back’, as well as ‘Jersey Girl’ in 2004, which also starred Jennifer.

A source told People magazine: “They all came together for a fun lunch so the kids could hang out. [Jennifer is] trying to be friendly with Ben. They are still moving forward with the divorce though.

OHMYGOSSIP — Courtney B. Vance has praised Travis Kelce’s “very wonderful” performance in ‘Grotesquerie’.
The 34-year-old NFL star has made his acting debut in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming horror series and his co-star and Emmy award-winning actor Courtney B.Vance has said what a “nice choice” the sportsman was for his role as Ed Laclan.
Courtney told People magazine :”It just lets you know the power of Ryan Murphy.
“[He] just made a phone call and said, ‘Come on down.'”
When speaking about what Travis – who is dating Taylor Swift – was like to work with on set, Courtney explained how ready he was every day while filming and praised the first-time actor for not being afraid to ask for help if he needed it.
He added: “He was very wonderful. [It was] not a surprise, he was just prepared. He was just good. And if he needed some help, he was open.”
The ‘Heist 88’ star also shared how Travis had joked to him that he could return the favour of Courtney helping him by going to the football field.

OHMYGOSSIP — King Charles showed he has “got the moves” during a Samoan dance lesson.
The 75-year-old royal, his wife Queen Camilla, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke of Kent assembled for a King’s Commonwealth reception at St James’ Palace on Wednesday (02.10.24), where among the guests was former rugby player Freddie Tuilagi – an honorary consul with the Samoan High Commission – who wanted to teach him a traditional dance ahead of the monarch’s visit to the Pacific Island nation later this month.
According to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, Freddie, 53, held his hand out towards the king and asked him to dance, with Charles stopping to put down his drink then smiling broadly as he spread his arms and copied his teacher’s fluttering hand gestures.
Freddie also handed the king a ceremonial fly swat, which was hung over his shoulder.
He said afterwards: “I told the king I’m going to dance for you, when you go to Samoa, this is how they will dance.”
And asked to critique Charles’ performance, he replied: “Good, he’s got the moves.”.
Among the 375 guests at the reception were Jamaican-born singer Grace Jones, Australian ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge Craig Revel Horwood, and his fellow panellist, South African Motse Mabuse.
Grace reflected on her “history” with the royal family.
She said: “I have met them a few times, ever since James Bond.
“I also did the hula hoop for the Queen at the Jubilee. So we have a history.
“Being Jamaican I believe that the Commonwealth has positives. It’s a very good thing that brings people together in a positive way.”
England rugby player Joe Cokanasiga offered the king a traditional greeting from his native Fiji, kneeling and clapping three times.
He later said: “I am originally from Fiji and it’s a sign of respect to the heads of state.
“I have been practicing that. He definitely knew I was from Fiji after I did it as he experienced it before.
“The Commonwealth is important and I wouldn’t have been here because my dad joined the army he moved here. It gives people a lot of opportunities.”
Others in attendance included representatives and supporters of The King’s Trust International, the British Asian Trust, the Queen’s Reading Room and the Wow Foundation, as well as Commonwealth High Commissioners.
Charles and Camilla are both heading to Samoa later this month for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

The 39-year-old singer married Jeremy Dufrene in a low-key ceremony in Louisiana last week and she’s now revealed they are both “very happy” with married life so far.
A fan site shared candid video footage of the couple in New Orleans over the weekend on Instagram, which Lana herself commented on, initially to share her frustration at her lack of privacy.
She wrote: “Unfortunately, a local couple from Houma won’t stop flying drones into our windows every morning and following us with a tracker.”
But the ‘Video Games’ hitmaker then commented on her own post to praise the 49-year-old alligator tour guide.
She gushed: “All that being said Jeremy is the one and only. And amazing. And we’re very happy.”
Lana and Jeremy married on a bayou in Des Allemandes, where the groom usually takes his visitors on swamp tours.
Pictures obtained by DailyMail.com showed the ‘Summertime Sadness’ star wearing a long white dress and holding a bouquet of flowers as she’s walked down the aisle by her father Robert Grant.
Jeremy wore a black suit and his bride added a blue ribbon to her hair before heading to the reception, which is said to have been held by the water along the public harbour with white tents and tables set up on the grass.
The outlet reported Lana’s sister Caroline Grant and brother Charlie Hill-Grant were among the guests at the ceremony.
The couple were first linked in August when they were seen holding hands at the Reading and Leeds Festival in the UK, and they later went public with their love affair when they attended Karen Elson’s wedding in New York City earlier this month alongside pals including Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce.
Lana is believed to have known Jeremy for several years after first sharing a selfie with him back in 2019 when she shared a social media post about his swamp tours while the singer hinted at a romantic relationship in May when she referred to him as “my guy” in a post on Instagram.

The 25-year-old star told Time magazine: “For a long time, I was constantly guided and misguided.
“I’m so grateful for all of those times where I was led astray, because now I’m a lot more equipped going into situations where I have to trust my own instincts.”
Sabrina also shared how she feels “so prepared” for fame after growing up watching the MTV Video Music Awards.
The ‘Espresso’ hitmaker performed at the event last month and she admitted it was a dream come true.
She said: “I grew up watching those performances and being like, ‘I want to do that’…
“[It was] another dream realised.
“It all just seemed so – not even out of reach, just like I had a different plan in my head of when it was all supposed to happen.”
Sabrina then told about how she is able to embrace fame: “I feel so prepared for these moments.
“If I was even 17 or 18, I think I would have been way, way more nervous and intimidated.”
Sabrina has also been revealed to be on the TIME100 Next list, which recognises 100 emerging leaders who are shaping the future of the world.

OHMYGOSSIP — Reese Witherspoon is writing her debut novel.
The ‘Legally Blonde’ actress recently teased that she had a new project on the horizon and she has now revealed on social media that she is co-writing a thriller with ‘Fool Me Once’ author Harlan Coben – who has had a number of his 35 novels turned into popular TV shows – which will be published by Grand Central Publishing.
Reese said on Instagram: “I’m beyond excited to share that I’m co-writing my very first thriller with #1 bestselling author, Harlan Coben!
“As a massive fan of Harlan’s work, I can’t believe he agreed to co-author a novel with me. I’m either the most persuasive person alive or the idea of this book is just TOO GOOD! Maybe both?? I honestly can’t wait for you all to read it!”
The 48-year-old actress – who established her Reese’s Book Club in June 2017 – came up with the idea for the novel herself and is delighted Harlan wanted to work with her.
She in a statement issued through Grand Central: “To say I am a fan of Harlan’s body of work is a massive understatement.
“The fact that he found my idea for this thriller intriguing enough to want to partner with me on it as co-author is a dream becoming a reality.
“Scheming with Harlan on how to thrill audiences with mysterious characters and complex narrative twists and turns has already been more fun than I can describe. I can’t wait for everyone to read what we have been imagining.”
Harlan added in his own statement: “Once we began discussing her idea, there was no turning back.
“Collaborating with Reese has been a pure joy and so creatively rewarding. I could not be more excited about putting this novel out into the world.”
The book’s title has yet to be revealed, but it will be published in autumn 2025.
