Jodie Turner-Smith not looking for love

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Turner-Smith is “over men”.
The 38-year-old actress split from Joshua Jackson – the father of her four-year-old daughter Juno – last year after four years of marriage but she’s in no rush to go looking for love again.
Speaking to Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year issue, for which she received the Screen Trailblazer award, she said: “I’m actually not dating, I’m over men.”
While Jodie is happily single, Joshua has been romantically linked with Lupita Nyong’o but the ‘Queen and Slim’ actress insisted she shouldn’t have an opinion on what her ex-husband is doing now, so long as any partners are “good” to her and their daughter.
She said: “He can do whatever he wants.
“Just be good to Juno and be good to Juno’s mum, because I’m going to be Juno’s mum forever.
“It’s really not for me to have an opinion on his journey.”
A year after filing for divorce, the ‘Acolyte’ star admitted she and the ‘Dawson’s Creek’ actor are still figuring out the right way to co-parent.
She said: “It’s an adjustment period for anyone when they split up with someone, because you’re used to being with your child all the time.
“But nobody hands you a manual. Everyone’s trying to figure it out.
“Each parent has a different life, and especially if the reason why you’re splitting up is because you have different lives, it’s only further complicated by how you’re going to co-parent.”
And Jodie has found it very hard filming in England while her daughter has been at school in Los Angeles.
She said: “This is going to be the thing I look back on and think, ‘Wow, I survived that’. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do…
“She’s very strong, and she’s so fiery. She comes from a long line of warrior women
“Me, on the other hand? This is testing my warriorhood!”
But the ‘Bad Monkey’ star has faith in herself.
She said: “I got this. I got this because the only thing I know how to do is not break. I don’t know what the path to success looks like, but I know that I will not, I shall not, I cannot break.”

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have established custody arrangements

OHMYGOSSIP — Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have already figured out custody arrangements for their son.
The former couple split earlier this year but confusion was sparked last week when the ‘Valley’ star made “errors” in his response to his estranged wife’s divorce petition, in which she had requested primary custody of three-year-old Cruz.
A spokesperson for the 45-year-old reality star insisted the mistakes in Jax’s forms will be corrected but they don’t have any impact on the arrangements for his little boy as he and Brittany had already discussed what they planned to do.
His representative told People magazine: “Jax and Brittany have already long resolved all matters related to custody of Cruz, and will continue to work together privately for the best interest of their son, which remains their overriding concern.
“While Jax made errors in filing out forms that are usually done by trained legal professionals, those errors will be amended without delay.”
The “errors” included Jax incorrectly stating he and Brittany were not legally married and mistakes in the timeline of their relationship. He also ticked a box marked ‘other’ when it came to determining child support, leading to confusion.
Jax recently admitted he was “in shock” when Brittany called time on their marriage, but he can understand why she had “had enough”.
He said on the ‘When Reality Hits’ podcast: “Unfortunately, she’s had enough. And I don’t blame her at all. I mean, I can’t believe she’s been with me this long as it is. That we stayed, to be honest…
“When she decided to leave, I was kind of in shock. I shouldn’t have been in shock, but I was in shock.”
Jax conceded that he’s been through a “really, really rough” time since his split from Brittany.
He added: “Anyone that has gone through a divorce will understand how difficult this is.”

Chloe Bailey praises ‘amazing’ mentor Beyonce

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloe Bailey has praised Beyonce for being an “amazing” mentor.
The 26-year-old singer-and-actress was just five years old when she first met her idol when they appeared together in ‘The Fighting Temptations’, but her career took off in 2013 when her and youngster sister Halle Bailey’s cover of ‘Pretty Hurts’ went viral and the ‘Crazy in Love’ hitmaker shared it to her own social media channels.
Beyonce then signed Chloe and Halle to her own record label and has been a huge source of support to them both every since.
Speaking to Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year issue, for which she received the Musician award, Chloe said: “She was on set for a car commercial, and she was so kind to us. She looked like a floating angel, and she was just really, really great…
“She has been such an amazing person to have in our corner. She gave us the best example: everything she is, is how my sister and I would want to be in our careers – not just in terms of her talent and success, but also in how she treats people with respect and uses her platform to highlight important issues like Black Lives Matter.
“She calls us her little aliens. She said we’d have to let the world catch up to us, because we’re so ahead of the curve, they’d never get it at first. She wanted us to believe in ourselves.”
But Chloe and Halle almost never got their big break because their parents were initially “totally against” them sharing their singing videos on YouTube.
The ‘Swarm’ actress said of their ‘Pretty Hurts’ video: “It was a time when young singers were doing covers and posting them online, and we were huge Beyoncé fans.
“We recorded it in the basement of our home and begged our parents to let us post it – they were totally against it at first, although I’m not sure why, but they finally let us upload it. We never took it too seriously, because it was a one-in-a-million chance.”
Chloe feels she “manifested” Beyonce’s support.
She recalled: “We got an email from her company, Parkwood Entertainment, asking for permission to post it on her socials. Then they shared that Beyoncé wanted to sign us to her label.
“And we were ecstatic, especially me. I was such a huge Beyoncé fan, I feel like I manifested it.
“I would always tell Halle, ‘We’re going to be the first group she signs to Parkwood’. It’s crazy to think that my dream came true.”

Rachel Zegler doesn’t want to give online trolls satisfaction by taking a social media break

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Zegler doesn’t want to give online trolls satisfaction by taking a social media break.
The 23-year-old star faced a backlash when her casting in the live-action remake of ‘Snow White’ was announced because people were unhappy that the
fictional character was being portrayed by a person of colour but she won’t give her critics the “satisfaction” of knowing they have upset her by taking a step back from the online world.
She told Variety: “I don’t like to give them the satisfaction of knowing they hurt me in the moment.
“You give them a lot of power by taking a social media break.”
The West Side Story’ actress is excited to play Snow White because of what the character means to her mom.
She said: “She was my mom’s favorite princess.
“When she was growing up, there weren’t a lot of dark-haired princesses, and that was the one she could relate to.”
Rachel previously said that she is thankful for the backlash she received from her ‘Snow White’ casting as “nothing can hurt anymore.”
In conversation with fellow actor and singer Halle Bailey on an episode of Variety’s Actors on Actors series, Rachel said: “That nothing can hurt anymore because they’ve said the worst that can be said.
“You just say, ‘Thank you so much for this. I have a lot of love in my life, and I’m very thankful.’ We get to do our work and have that speak for itself instead.
“As much as you’d like to remind people verbally that being in the spotlight doesn’t absolve you of your humanity – that you’re allowed to have human moments – it doesn’t necessarily do what you want it to do. It fuels them more.
“So it’s choosing to be present and know that they’re probably just having a really hard day. And I’m putting out a movie.”

Gwen Stefani reveals what Blake Shelton does every day to remind her why she fell in love

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwen Stefani loves the fact Blake Shelton makes her laugh every day.
The 54-year-old singer met her now-husband on ‘The Voice’ in 2014 before tying the knot in 2021 and she gushed she feels “happier” with him as time goes on because he is such a good person.
She said on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’: “The thing about Blake is that you’ll never get through a day without laughing.
“You know what I mean? Which is just— it doesn’t even matter like what’s going on. The guy has so much patience, and so much kindness in his heart.
“It just makes you happier every single day.”
The No Doubt frontwoman noted that “laughter” is an integral part of life and something that “we’re all chasing” so she was lucky to have someone that brought that kind of happiness to her.
Jennifer agreed: “That’s more than enough.”
Previously, the 48-year-old country star compared his and Gwen’s relationship to that of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
Speaking on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’, Blake said: “I do [believe they will last], and the fact that they’re both just kind of putting it out there in everybody’s face. There’s no sneaking around, or trying to tamp things down or keep it on the down low.
“I think when you’re willing to just come out and just kind of put it in everybody’s face that you’re together and you’re owning it — that’s what Gwen and I did.”
Blake also admitted he is a big fan of Kansas City Chiefs player Travis.
He said: “He’s a standout no matter where he is or what he’s doing. He’s just got this big personality. He’s a funny guy. He walks into the room, and he has a presence there, so there’s never going to be that moment where he’s in the shadows anyway just because of his charisma and his personality anyway.
“He just kind of owns the moment, whatever that is, whether it’s that picture you just had up there at one of her shows, you know? He’s just willing to go there. I love his personality. He’s a ton of fun — his brother too. I’m a fan of both of theirs.”

Will Smith fart causes film set to be evacuated for three hours

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Smith farted “so bad”, he cleared a movie set for three hours.
The 56-year-old actor and his ‘Men In Black’ co-star Tommy Lee Jones had to be “hermetically sealed” inside a pod to shoot a scene for a 1997 blockbuster in which the vehicle they were travelling in at high speed transforms but he immediately let rip once inside.
The film’s director, Barry Sonnenfeld, told Kelly Ripa on her ‘Let’s Talk Off Camera’ podcast: “We were getting ready to shoot Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, and Tommy does not suffer fools, I’ll tell you that.
“They have to be put in this device, which is [a car] that transforms into a hyper car, and [they’re] going to go through the Midtown tunnel upside down. We have to bring a ladder over on wheels like it’s like the old days when you would get on airplanes from the tarmac. We get them up there and we put them in the thing and we turn it upside down and we’re ready to shoot…
“There are locks to prevent it from opening and falling.
“I say, ‘Roll camera,’ and I hear Will Smith go, ‘Oh Jesus, so sorry. Tommy, so sorry. Baz, get the ladder.’ And you hear Tommy saying, ‘That’s fine, Will. No worries, Will. Don’t worry, Will.’ ”
Barry was initially clueless as to why the star was apologising.
But then he added: “So we race the ladder over. Yeah, Tommy reaches his leg out as the ladder is coming over, races down the stairs. And what happened was, Will Smith is a farter. It’s just some people are [farters].”
The 71-year-old filmmaker acknowledged that being stuck “inside a very small hermetically sealed space with a Will Smith fart” wasn’t a great place to be.
He added: “You don’t even want to be sitting next to him at the Disney ranch. We evacuated the stage for about three hours. And that’s incredible.
“No, he’s, you know, a lovely guy. Just, he farts. Some do, some don’t.”

Danny Dyer is a ‘cuddly cloud’ not a ‘hard man’

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer is adamant his reputation as a “hard man” is undeserved.
The ‘Human Traffic’ star believes his East London accent has given many people the wrong impression about him and he’s actually a “very sensitive soul” and is compared to a “cuddly cloud” by his kids.
He told The Sunday Times newspaper: “It goes back to classism and the way I speak. I’ve never claimed to be a hard man. I’ve never really played a hard man. I wore a pink dressing gown in [UK soap opera] ‘EastEnders] for nine years, a very sensitive soul.
“OK, [2004 movie] ‘The Football Factory’ was about hooligans and there was violence, but I was questioning it.”
He added: “I do swear a lot and I can be uncouth, and I walk like a duck. So maybe people assume I am [a hard man]. Ask my kids. They call me Papa Bear.
“They say I’m just like a cuddly cloud. Which is slightly fat-shaming me. I’m assuming it’s a fat cloud.”
Danny, 47, went on to add that he’s happy with his body and is embracing life in middle age.
He said: “I don’t know if I want to be the fittest granddad knocking around. I don’t really look after my body. I’ve got B-cups now. I’m slowly morphing into a middle-aged man. I’m shaped like an avocado and I’m quite happy with that.”
It comes after the actor – who has previously been in rehab for drug abuse – revealed he always looks for the “joy” in life and finds it important to meditate every day to keep his brain calm.
He told The Observer magazine: “You’ve got to try and squeeze as much f****** joy out of life as you possibly can.
“Because the one thing I learned when I was going through some crazy times is that your f****** brain is your worst enemy. It questions us all the time and we can’t escape it.
“[I take 10 minutes to meditate every evening] and just completely concentrate on my breath, and let all the f****** s*** go, then have a good night’s sleep and then attack the day again.””

George Clooney has ‘never been prouder’ of his prankster son

OHMYGOSSIP — George Clooney has “never been prouder” than he is of his prankster son.
The ‘Wolfs’ actor is known for his love of springing gags on people and he is delighted seven-year-old Alexander has inherited his same sense of mischief, even though the youngster’s mom Amal is often the victim of his “Hollywood grade” joke props.
Amal told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “It’s really bad because my son has access to Hollywood grade props, like fake cockroaches and mice, and he now has a 3D printer.
“So I can’t tell you the things I am finding under my documents under my pillow.
“And when Alexander executes the pranks and George sees it he just looks at him and he’s like, ‘Son, I am so proud of you.'”
George confirmed: “Never been prouder”.
However, the 63-year-old star – who is also father to Alexander’s twin sister Ella – admitted he’s also often subjected to his son’s jokes.
He said: “Now he’ll call me and he’s like, ‘There’s something important I have to tell you Papa,’ and I’ll go, ‘What?’ and then he hangs up on me.”
Amal quipped: “He’s learning from the best.”
The ‘Midnight Sky’ actor recently spoke of one of his own favourite pranks, using stationery with Brad Pitt’s header to fool fellow Hollywood stars with “brutal” letters.
One was sent to his friend’s ‘Interview with a Vampire’ co-star Tom Cruise suggesting they make a sequel to their 1994 movie – but that they swap roles.
George told talk show host Jimmy Kimmel: “I sent it to Tom Cruise, saying they want to do [‘Interview with the Vampire 2’], but this time Brad wants to play Lestat.”
Jimmy laughed: “Brad this afternoon said that Tom called him and said, ‘Yeah, it’s cool, you can play Lestat, that’s fine, I’m OK with that,’ and he was like, ‘What are you talking about?’”
And when it came to Meryl Streep, the former ‘E.R.’ star sent her a gift that ‘Brad’ felt would come in useful for her.
He explained: “I sent [a letter] to Meryl Streep with a box of CDs for dialect and I said, ‘This guy helped me with my accent in ‘Troy’ and I think it could really help you.’ ”

Sophie Turner feels ‘shame’ as a mother

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner thinks motherhood brings “so much shame”.
The 28-year-old actress has Willa, four, and two-year-old Delphine with ex-husband Joe Jonas and she admitted she gets tired of the constant scrutiny she faces for her decisions and their impact on her family life.
She told the Sunday Times Culture magazine: “There’s so much shame that comes with motherhood.
“You go to work, you’re shamed. If you don’t go to work, you’re shamed.”
Sophie filmed her latest TV drama ‘Joan’ in the wake of her split from Joe and she admitted portraying single mother and career criminal Joan Hannington in the true story gave her a “lot of strength”.
She said: “Joan changed me quite a lot. From utter desperation comes so much will and ambition.
“The series came around at a time in my life where I had to be ambitious and I had to have such strong will and fight against the forces. She gave me a lot of strength.”
But during filming, the former ‘Game of Thrones’ star had a woman from the crew who she had befriended stay with her as she didn’t want to be on her own because her children weren’t there.
She said: “She ended up staying with me at mine, because I didn’t want to be alone,” she recalls. “The crew really held me through it, and I didn’t ever come home alone at the end of the day.”
Despite her lows in the wake of her marriage ending, Sophie – who is now dating Peregrine Pearson – is settling back into life in England and things are looking up.
She said: “I’m with my friends; I’m with my family; I’m eating good chocolate. I am thrilled.”
Meanwhile, despite being cast as Sansa Stark in ‘Game of Thrones’ when she was 14, Sophie wouldn’t want her daughters to act until they are much older.
She said: “I’d say to any parent if your child wants to get into the industry, wait until their frontal lobe has formed, which is 25.
“I would highly discourage them from getting into it before they can fully process what that means.”

Elizabeth Olsen had panic attacks ‘almost every hour’

OHMYGOSSIP — Elizabeth Olsen used to have panic attacks “almost every hour”.
The 35-year-old actress has revealed she suffered the attacks multiple times a day and her triggers included everything from temperature changes and hunger levels to wearing high heels.
She told The Observer newspaper: “[It was] multiple times [a day], like, almost every hour! … It was literally, like, any time there was a shift in something: hot to cold, hungry to full. I thought, ‘Oh, is this OK?’ And then it would spiral and it just became this habit.”
Olsen had to learn how to “interrupt the thinking process” and “figure out how to have some control”, adding: “You learn very quickly who you feel comfortable around and who you don’t.”
She went on to reveal she also ditched wearing high heels – and if she had to wear them for a public event she put them on for a very brief period before taking them straight off again.
She added: “People thought it was a feminist choice. Like, nah! If I wear them and I’m standing in front of you guys, I’m gonna panic. I’d rather have my feet on the ground.”
Olsen explained she’s also had a fear of rollercoasters and a recent trip in a helicopter on the press tour for her new movie ‘His Three Daughters’ left her traumatised.
She said: “It was my first time in a helicopter. I hated it so much. It was like being on a rollercoaster for an hour and a half, even though it was probably 45 minutes. It was brutal. It wasn’t for me. I just thought about dying the whole time …
“I’ll never do it again.”
It comes after Olsen recently opened up about growing up in the shadow of her famous sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley revealing she was happy to stay at home while her siblings travelled the world.
She told The Times newspaper: “Anything that would take me out of school as a child, I didn’t want to do. Even when my sisters would go travel the world every summer, filming these movies, I stayed at home and I did my musical summer camps.
“My sisters were on set all the time. What I saw them do was go to work. And what my friends and I did was play. I liked creating things with my friends.” Elizabeth went on to add that she would “rebel” against her Hollywood star sisters – who retired from film acting in 2007 to focus on their work as fashion designers – by deciding that she did not want to be an actor and instead expressed a wish to follow a more corporate career path.
She added: “My version of rebelling was saying, ‘Well, I don’t want to be an actor, I want to be an accountant or I want to be an investment banker’.
“And so for years I said, ‘I want to be an investment banker when I grow up,’ because I was really good at math. Doing something that boring was a form of rebellion.”

Debbie Harry keeps fit by ‘speed walking’ her dogs

OHMYGOSSIP — Debbie Harry keeps fit by “speed walking” her dogs.
The Blondie star, 79, has revealed she used to work out with a personal trainer and has “tried everything” in her quest to stay fit and healthy but she’s given it all up in recent years and now focuses on regular walks with her two beloved Russian chins.
She told The Telegraph newspaper: “I’ve tried everything at some point. These days I do a lot of speed walking with the dogs … Of course they’re adorable. I had a bunch more [dogs], but they died.
“I’m practically vegetarian and I do old lady exercises, which is shocking to me. I mean how have I got so old? But I guess I’ve been lucky.”
She went on to insist she still worries about her healthy, but feels she’s still doing pretty well.
Debbie added: “That doesn’t mean I don’t also worry, acutely, sometimes. But I’m quite strong. I’ve had my accidents but I seem to be able to adjust and I’m pretty athletic. My motto is just kind of keep going. I don’t recommend that to everyone but it works for me.”
Debbie – who is currently working on a new album -previously insisted she has no plans to retire and is keen to keep Blondie going for as long as possible because she can’t stand the idea of not working.
Speaking in 2021, she told The Sun newspaper: “To be creative and to keep that part of my brain going is essential and as I get older. I just want to feel that side of life and feel that I am contributing somehow to my own well-being.
“Music is my life force. And I’ve had so much support from family, friends and fans that I can’t think of any other way. What else would I do? Become a race car driver?”

Andrew Lloyd Webber had therapy dog for trauma ‘due to the Cats movie’

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew Lloyd Webber wanted his dog to be recognised as a therapy animal due to the “trauma” of the ‘Cats’ movie.
The 76-year-old composer’s friend Glenn Close suggested he adopt a canine companion to give him a boost after he was left upset by Tom Hooper’s 2019 star-studded big screen take on his legendary musical, and airline staff didn’t even require medical evidence when he asked to take his pet on a plane with him.
He told the Sunday Times’ Culture magazine: “I applied for Mojito to be my therapy dog so I could take him on American Airlines.
“I said the reason for taking him on the plane was trauma due to the ‘Cats’ movie, and they came back saying: ‘No doctor’s certificate required.’ ”
Andrew admitted the movie was “terrible” and claimed stars of the film were very “unhappy” about it too.
He said: “It was terrible. Thank God I was not closely involved.
“Most people who were found it the most unhappy experience. Taylor Swift, Judi Dench … All of them called me and said, ‘What are we going to do?’”
While Andrew believes it is understandable that theatre tickets can be incredibly expensive, he blasted the use of dynamic pricing, branding the practice – which sees prices escalate in response to demand “racketeering”.
He said: “The answer to people who say theatre prices are high is that we are very labour-intensive. Also, you see the new generation chucking their money at Taylor Swift and they don’t seem over worried about that.”
Asked about using dynamic pricing, her added: “I don’t think theatres should be in the business of trying to push prices up.
“You need to break even, but I don’t like making theatre inaccessible. I hate it.
“Dynamic pricing is racketeering, really — it’s completely wrong.”

LL Cool J isn’t a ‘flash guy’

OHMYGOSSIP — LL Cool J isn’t a “flash guy” and wants to use his money to “do good things”.
The 56-year-old hip-hop star has revealed he did splash the cash after being given his first every royalty cheque at the start of his career, but he’s adamant money is not his “end goal” and now refuses to splurge on frivolous luxuries.
He told The Sunday Times newspaper: “I’m not a flash kinda guy. People will say, ‘LL Cool J is worth X million dollars’.
“Yes, but I can honestly say money is not my end goal. When I got that first big royalty cheque, I went crazy. I wanted the car, the gold chains, the VCR. Now I use the money to do good things.”
He went on to insist being wealthy doesn’t mean he spoils his kids, but he did try to give them the best possible start in life.
The rapper added: “Do I spoil my kids? I gave all four of them a car and a debt-free education. The rest they have to figure out for themselves.”
LL Cool J has four adult kids with his wife Simone Johnson, who he married in 1995, and he insists their relationship is still strong almost 30 years later.
He explained: “When you mix money, music and success, real life can suffer. I’m thankful that Simone has been with me all the way.
“The chemistry is still there, I hope it never goes away. Faith has played a big part in that. We both pray at night – Simone earlier than me ’cos I’m up till 3am.
“It connects us as a family. The world gets rough and you sometimes need a little help to ride out those rough times. Ain’t no shame in that!”

Olivia Culpo buys George Clooney’s house

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Culpo has bought George Clooney’s house.
The ‘Wolfs’ actor and wife Amal were recently revealed to have sold their six-bedroom home in Los Angeles for just over $14 million, and it has now been revealed by TMZ that the buyers of the property were the former Miss Universe and her husband Christian McCaffery.
The house, which is totally surrounded by trees, was previously owned by Stevie Nicks, who sold it to George for $2.2 million almost 30 years ago.
The property purchase comes three months after Olivia married Christian in June.
The 32-year-old model – who started dating the NFL player in 2019 – recently reflected on how she loved “every part” of her wedding day.
She told People magazine: “I loved every part of my wedding because I love my husband and the people we got to celebrate that day with.
“The choices that I made are because I wanted to feel like they’re choices I could be proud of in 50 years. And that’s it.”
And she told how both she and the sportsman were very emotional when they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day.
She said: “He was beaming and very emotional.
“I was so shaky. It was really special – and I know it’s a moment that we’ll both have imprinted in our memories forever.”
Olivia faced criticism for her conservative, long-sleeve Dolce and Gabbana wedding dress and while she was “surprised” by the backlash, she doesn’t regret her choice.
She said: “I wanted to feel like myself in every sense of the word. And I think that that’s where my decision to be more pared down came in.”
And Olivia has urged future brides to “stay true to yourself”.
She said: “Stick to the vision you have in your head and don’t worry about anything else.
“No matter what you wear, no matter what your decisions are from your make-up to your hair, to the gown, you will look absolutely beautiful because it’s a beautiful day.”

Dame Joan Collins had a ‘volatile relationship’ with Liz Taylor’s first husband

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Joan Collins had a “volatile” relationship with Conrad Hilton Jr in the years after he was married to Elizabeth Taylor.
The 91-year-old actress had a brief dalliance with the late hotel heir- who was commonly known as Nicky – in the late 1950s following on from his abusive marriage to Joan’s fellow Hollywood star.
Speaking in the new BBC documentary series ‘Elizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar’, she said: “I did. [date him] He was nuts. It was quite volatile. Once we were lying in bed, and he took out this gun from the side table and shot it to the ceiling. Nicky Hilton had a problem with being too good-looking and too rich, and I don’t think he got a lot of love from his father!”
In her 1988 memoir ‘Elizabeth Takes Off’, the film icon recalled that her fist marriage began to crumble after just eight months as Conrad – who eventually died of a heart attack in 1969 aged 42 – became “became sullen, angry and abusive, physically and mentally.”
Earlier this year, it was Nanette Burstein’s documentary ‘Elizabeth Taylor: The Lost Tapes’ – which assembles hours of the famed actress discussing her life in unearthed recordings – that she had received a split lip at the hands of Conrad, and that he once kicked her in the stomach so hard that she suffered a miscarriage.
The ‘Dynasty’ legend has discussed her friendship with the ‘Cleopatra’ actress – who died in 2011 at the age of 79 – as part of Kim Kardashian’s documentary on the Golden Age star and recalled that she and her friends would idolise Elizabeth and try to emulate her looks.
She said: “My friends and I, we all wanted to look like her. We all did big eyebrows like her. But I know that she had a difficult time.”
Conrad was Elizabeth’s first husband and following their split in 1951, she was married Michael Wilding from 1952 until 1957, Mike Todd from 1957 until his death in 1958, Eddie Fisher from 1959 until 1964 and then to Richard Burton for two separate stints in the 1960s and 1970s.
Her final two marriages were to John Warner from 1976 until 1982 and then finally to Larry Fortensky from 1991 until their divorce in 1976.

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s son was puzzled when a fan asked her for a selfie – because her partner Jason Statham is the “famous person in the family”.
The 37-year-old model has revealed that her son Jack, seven, who she has with her film star fiance, was baffled when she was asked for a photo because he is used to the attention being on the ‘Transporter’ actor and didn’t hide his thoughts from her.
In an interview with Net-A-Porter’s digital title Porter, Rosie recalled: “The other day someone asked for a selfie with me, and my son turned around and said: ‘Why do they want a picture with you? Daddy’s the famous person in the family!'”
The star – who also has two-year-old daughter Isabella with Jason – is known for her modelling work with Victoria’s Secret and Marks and Spencer but she reflected on how she was sent home from shoots when aspiring for a breakthrough in the industry as she was deemed to be “too full-figured”.
Rosie said: “I feel fortunate that I’ve seen the full breadth of the industry because, when I started, I was on the tube, portfolio and heels in my bag, doing castings with 200 girls, getting out in the middle of nowhere and middle of the night, getting into cars with strange drivers, being sent home from shoots because I was too ‘wholesome looking’ or ‘too full-figured’.”
The ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ actress explained how she knew that her modelling ambitions could be brought to an abrupt halt but was determined not to let that fate befall her.
She explained: “I recognised that at any point they could say, ‘Rosie is out’. I’d seen that with so many girls – they literally worked with them for 15 years and then one day it was, ‘She’s too old and she’s getting some weight.’
“That’s the way this industry works. I was like, that’s not going to happen to me.”
