Tony Hawk and Steve-O team up for new skateboarding anthology series

OHMYGOSSIP — Tony Hawk and Steve-O are teaming up for a new anthology series.
The skateboarding legend and ‘Jackass’ star have announced a new scripted project ‘Sk8 or Die: The Lee Ralph Story’, which will tell the story of the skateboarder who vanished from the scene after reaching the height of the scene in the 1980s.
The show is currently in active development and has been pitched as a biographical anthology series, with each season telling the story of a different skater.
Tony, 56, and Steve-O-, 50, have boarded as producers, while ‘F9’ star Vinnie Bennett will play New Zealand skater Lee Ralph with Keisha Castle-Hughes cast as his sister Kim Ralph.
Started with his childhood – including his heroin-dealing father – the series will follow his rise through the skating ranks as he become a pro in the late ’80s.
Lee – who was known for often skating barefoot – suddenly gave up a life of fame just as he reached the pinnacle of the sport.
In a statement, Tony said: “Lee Ralph was a truly unique character, and that is saying a lot in the eclectic world of skateboarding.
“His skating was powerful and smooth, while his appearance and attitude was unapologetically grimy. But he always wore a smile and we were always stoked to see him.”
Tavake chief Tom Hern – who co-wrote the show with fellow showrunner Halaifonua (Nua) Finau – will direct some episodes with MArtin Desmond Roe and Travon Free.
He added: “I’ve known Lee for nearly 20 years. He’s a dear friend and one of a kind.
“I’ve always known about his skating achievements and his somewhat mythical antics for years, but it wasn’t until researching this project that Nua and I learned about all the other crazy, incredible aspects to his story.
“In addition to the Forrest Gump-like twists and turns of his life, Lee and his family’s story is very touching and inspiring. We can’t wait to bring it to the screen.”

Queen Elizabeth sent advisors to study crop circles

OHMYGOSSIP — The late Queen Elizabeth dispatched senior advisors out in the middle of the night to investigate a crop circle formation.
A new documentary focused on the royal family’s links in UFOs and the paranormal tells how the monarch – who died in September 2022 – and her late husband Prince Philip had a fascination with the subject and gathered as much information as she could.
‘The King Of UFOs’ sees crop circle researcher Colin Andrews tell writer-and-director Mark Christopher Lee how he was in Wiltshire investigating with a Japanese crew when he heard the queen was interested in what was happening – and a few hours later, a Rolls Royce pulled up with the monarch’s chief scientific advisor inside.
The documentary also features retired CID detective John Hanson, who revealed the queen and her husband were fascinated by the Rendelsham case from 1980, when a UFO allegedly landed in a forest in the Suffolk village over Christmas weekend, with nearby RAF Bentwaters personnel – a US NATO base at the time – seeing strange orbs and beams of light when they went to investigate.
The former detective corresponded with the royal couple about the case and they particularly enjoyed the books he had written with Colonel Halt, who was Deputy Commander of the base at the time of the incident.
The royals’ letters to John feature int he documentary and show they had their own collection of paranormal books.
Director Mark said:
“The Rendelsham UFO case of 1980 often dubbed the British Roswell is not just about that one sighting. I have spoken to people who have seen and filmed strange UFOs and Orbs since then including this by John Hanson.”
‘The King of UFOs’ is out now on Amazon Prime Video.
Mark said: “What I wanted to show in this film is how passionate and serious the senior royals were on the subject of UFOs. They had to keep this mostly a secret because of possible ridicule but if such high standing, balanced people, took them seriously why can’t we?
“There is something that pilots and police officers are seeing in the skies that can’t be explained so why can’t the British government take them seriously?”

Ozzy Osbourne took his own drug dealer on tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Ozzy Osbourne used to take his own drug dealer on tour.
The Black Sabbath legend – who has been open his battle with drink and drug addiction – recalled a time in the 1970s when cocaine became “the meaning of life” above his desire to perform for his fans, and he needed to take the class A drug every 15 minutes.
Speaking on the ‘Madhouse Chronicles’ podcast, he said: “In Sabbath, when we discovered cocaine, it was like the meaning of life.
“We had a dealer on the road with us. We had this guy, he was a bit strange. And he’d have these f***** bags with these big f****** chunks of coke… big bags of coke.”
As a result of his addiction, the 75-year-old singer had a number of close calls with the authorities, including one incident in an airport toilet.
The ‘Paranoid’ rock star remembers being in a cubicle in Houston, Texas as he tried to turn a matchbox into a wooden spoon when a policeman walked into the bathroom.
He recalled: “I bent down and I see these black boots having a stand at the urinal.
“It’s a f****** copper and I’m standing on one leg with this toot of f****** coke, waiting for this guy to finish his p*** so I could blow it.”
Despite the situation he found himself in, Ozzy was still “determined” to see it through once the officer left.
His bandmate Geezer Butler recently recalled a time the ‘War Pigs’ singer got so high he thought he was swimming in the sea when he was still on dry land.
Writing in his memoir ‘Into the Void – From Birth to Black Sabbath and Beyond’, Geezer said: “A girl called Carol offered me and Ozzy something called psilocybin. We, of course, accepted.
“I was seeing skeletons. Ozzy thought he was swimming in the sea but was flailing away in the sand, like a stranded turtle.”

Dakota Fanning says sister Ella has ‘picked her up’ during her ‘wild’ times

OHMYGOSSIP — Dakota Fanning’s sister Elle has “picked her up” when she’s “fallen apart”.
The two famous siblings have their own production company, Lewellen Pictures, together, and while they are “different personality-wise”, that’s what helps them support each other so well.
She told The Cut magazine: “She has her emotions on her sleeve, and people would say she’s a free spirit. I’m more of that stereotype of the older one who keeps everything together and is pragmatic.
“But the dynamics shift as you get older — there have been times when I’ve fallen apart and been wild and she’s picked me up.
“When it comes to the company, we’re super in sync and usually pretty much have the same opinions on things.
“There are things that we work on together and then there are things that she does or things that I do, and it all just kind of is instinctual.”
Dakota, 30, and her 26-year-old sister are currently working on an adaptation of Paris Hilton’s memoir after buying the exclusive rights for a collaboration between them, A24 and Paris herself.
The ‘Twilight’ star added: “This is my girlhood dream come true; it’s such an exploration of the early 2000s. Paris is a friend now, which is like, if you told me this at 12, I would’ve lost my s***.
“She’s a genius. She knows exactly what’s going on. Nobody’s been fooling her. She’s dealt with super-traumatic situations in her life.”
At a recent party celebrating the socialite and singer’s new album, Dakota posed for a cheeky photo with stickers on her chest with Paris’ “that’s hot” catchphrase on them.
She reflected: “Maybe I wouldn’t have put ‘that’s hot’ stickers on my chest and posted a picture of it a few years ago, but here I am. That’s me!
“And it’s always been me. Who cares, why not? It’s like my favorite picture of myself.
“My sister and I are both excited about it and getting to know Paris in a very real way. It’s so wild because we grew up in her heyday — which, I mean, has she ever really not had a heyday?”

Savannah Chrisley slams judge in Julie Chrisley’s resentencing

OHMYGOSSIP — Savannah Chrisley has accused the judge who upheld her mother Julie Chrisley’s prison sentence of “retaliation”.
The ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ star and her husband Todd were jailed in 2023 after being found guilty of 12 counts of tax evasion and fraud, with Todd, 55, sentenced to 12 years behind bars and Julie, 51, ordered to serve seven, but in an appeal last month, a federal judge refused to give her a more lenient punishment, and her 27-year-old daughter has accused Judge Eleanor L. Ross of not liking her “outspoken” ways.
Speaking on her ‘Unlocked’ podcast, Savannah said: “I truly do believe that this judge, everything that she has done has been in retaliation.
“It has been in retaliation for us exercising our right to an appeal and being granted in part a successful appeal.
“The judge showed that this was more than just us exercising our right to an appeal. This was her not liking how outspoken I am.”
Savannah accused the judge of “indirectly reprimanding” her in the courtroom during a sentencing hearing that was not [her] sentencing hearing”.
She added: “After that hearing where, it felt like it was a punch in the gut. Because to think that I did something that harmed my mother’s ability to be a free woman that one stung really bad.
“That was her way of telling me, ‘You better shut up because it’s only going to get worse for you.’ ”
However, the outspoken reality star insisted she won’t be keeping quiet as she has nothing left to lose.
She said: “At this point, I have nothing else to lose. My mom’s in there. My dad’s in there. What do I have to lose at this point? I have nothing to lose and everything to gain.”
Earlier this year, Julie’s conviction was upheld but her sentence was overturned by a three-judge panel of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, and her case was sent for resentencing.
And before the judge announced he was upholding her original jail term, she apologised to the court.
Before the ruling was announced, Julie said: “I would like to say I’ve had years to think about what I’ve wanted to say and I’m sorry for my actions and situations that let us to where we are today.
“I’ve had 20 months in prison, but it has been much more leading up to the trial and I apologize for my actions that led to where we are today.
“I have done everything I can do to get closer to my family.
“I’ve taken tests for new skills, such as driving a forklift and serving food in proper ways … this has been the most difficult part of my life.
“I can’t ever repay my children for what they’ve had to go through and for that, I am so sorry.”
Todd’s appeal was rejected by the court.

Adam Sandler still ‘supports’ Rob Schneider despite backlash

OHMYGOSSIP — Rob Schneider says Adam Sandler still “supports” him despite backlash over his political views.
The 60-year-old actor – who has appeared in the likes of ‘Big Daddy’, ‘Grown Ups’ and ‘The Waterboy’ with his longtime friend – has come under fire for his support of former United States President Donald Trump, and his past comments on the COVID-19 vaccine.
Rob claimed he has been “blacklisted in showbusiness” for his views, but told DailyMail.com: “He doesn’t necessarily have to agree with me, he supports me for me and I think that he was able to see through all the c***, and to not have to worry about the right or wrong, or if he should be outspoken or not.
“He doesn’t get into the socio-economic politics of it all, we don’t talk about it.
“People ask me ‘have you lost friends over this?’ yeah probably, but how boring would it be to only have friends who agree with you?”
The pair have known each other for over three decades, and Rob said his pal still calls him every single week.
He said: “Adam Sandler has several hundred people working for him, so you know he’s the highest paid actor in the world [but] he loves me like a brother, like a brother from another mother.
“He called me last night at 11 o’clock and said, ‘How are you? How you doing?’
“There’s not been a week in over 30 years where he hasn’t called me, anywhere in the world – even if he’s in Italy – and it’s really beautiful, he’s my brother.”
Rob recently took aim at ‘cancel culture’ and insisted he prefers stand-up comedy to what he sees as a more restrictive environment on television.
He told Australia’s ‘Sunrise’ show: “People get uptight about stuff. That’s why it is important I have a dark theatre to perform in where people can hear things they can’t hear on TV.”
He added: “The idea is to be able to express things and to let out, people can laugh at things. It’s not attacking anybody, though some people claim it is.”

Heidi Klum teases ‘good surprise’ for this year’s Halloween costume

OHMYGOSSIP — Heidi Klum has promised a “good surprise” for this year’s Halloween costume.
The 51-year-old actress loves the spooky season and goes all out with her outfits for her annual party – with recent efforts including a worm and a stunning peacock – which has been referenced in her new campaign relaunching UNICEF USA’s ‘Little Orange Box’ to help Trick-or-Treaters collect donations as they go door to door.
Asked if she could dress up as the box itself this year, she told People magazine: “Hmm … let’s just say you’ll have to wait and see! You know I love a good surprise.”
Heidi admitted the “fun” each year is doing her best to “outdo” her previous costumes, which bodes well for this year’s offering.
She added: “Every year, I go all out with my costumes, so each one holds its own special place in my heart.
“The fun is in trying to outdo myself every year, but what really makes it memorable is the excitement and joy of the whole Halloween experience — there’s just nothing like it.”
In the new ‘The Box Is Back’ campaign, Heidi appears with ‘Project Runway’ designers Erin Robertson and Kentaro Kameya, and ‘Making The Cut’ duo Ciara Chyanne and Jonny Cota.
She tasks the quartet with helping her come up with this year’s costume, calling for something “timeless” and “retro”, before telling Jonny: “Think small but with a big impact.”
Ciara suggests a piece of turquoise fabric in a similar shade to the UNICEF logo, but Heidi wants it to be “more orange”.
A young boy chips in and suggests Heidi could dress up as the ‘Little Orange Box’.
The model says: “The box is back. Add some meaning to your Halloweening with UNICEF.”
Heidi had a blast working on the campaign, having “so much fun” for a good cause.
She added to People: “We laughed, reminisced, and had so much fun bringing this PSA to life. It’s always amazing when people you love working with come together for a cause that means so much.”

Sir Elton John jokes there’s ‘not much of him left’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Elton John has joked there’s “not much” left of him after his various health issues.
The 77-year-old music legend – who retired from touring last summer after finishing his ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ world tour – referenced the various organs and other body parts he’s had removed as he thanked everyone for their support over the years.
Speaking after a screening of ‘Elton John: Never Too Late’ at New York Film Festival, he said: “To be honest with you, there’s not much of me left.
“I don’t have tonsils, adenoids or an appendix. I don’t have a prostate. I don’t have a right hip or a left knee or a right knee.
“In fact, the only thing left to me is my left hip. But I’m still here. And I can’t thank you [enough], you’re the people that made me.”
The ‘Tiny Dancer’ hitmaker also paid tribute to his husband David Furnish and their sons Zachary and Elijah for making him “the happiest man in the world”.
He told the audience that he’s “never felt happiness” like he’s feeling now, while he explained his decision to step back from live on the road.
He added: “As you know, I decided to stop touring because I’m 77 years of age, I’ve done all there is to do, to play. I’ve succeeded. I’ve been there and I’ve done it.
“I’ve still got to make room because I’m still going to have music in my life.
“But the most important thing in my life are David, Zachary and Elijah, and my family and my friends. I found utopia and I’m so thrilled.”
Elton has been candid about his health issues and family life over the years, and last month he revealed he had “limited vision” in one of his eyes after an infection.
He wrote on Instagram: “Over the summer, I’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye.
“I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye.
“I am so grateful for the excellent team of doctors and nurses and my family, who have taken such good care of me over the last several weeks.
“I have been quietly spending the summer recuperating at home, and am feeling positive about the progress I have made in my healing and recovery thus far.”

Kelly Rutherford trying to ‘keep up with her kids

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Rutherford is trying to “keep up” with her children.
The former ‘Gossip Girl’ actress – who has Hermes, 17, and Helena, 15, with ex-husband Daniel Giersch – isn’t sure what she is able to teach her kids but she finds she is constantly “learning so much” from them.
She told Travel and Leisure magazine: “I’m just trying to keep up with them. They’re both so incredibly savvy and smart and I’m very thankful. They have a much more global mentality too for young people. I’m learning so much from them all the time. I hope they’re learning something from me — I don’t know what!”
The 55-year-old star still considers the US her home but spends a lot of time in Monaco and loves that her children enjoy travelling just as much as she does.
She said: “I think we descend from like Sir Francis Drake or something — we sort of have the explorer in our family.
“We focus so much on education in school, but I think the greatest education is getting to know other cultures and how other people do things. We judge less and we’re more aware and respectful when we travel.”
Kelly enjoys her “quite peaceful” life in Monaco.
She said: “It’s the opposite of what everyone thinks it is, for me at least It’s a place you can come and really just be quiet.
“In the wintertime, it’s very quiet, very private and very peaceful.
“It’s like the Hamptons in the summer versus the Hamptons in the winter.
“I just walk the dogs, hang out with the kids and run errands. If there’s a gallery opening or something like that, I’ll go just to see. But it’s mostly just quiet time here for me.”
The ‘Melrose Place’ actress has learned about the benefits of slowing down from her life in Europe.
She said: “In the US, we’re kind of like worker bees, which is good — the work ethic that we have is incredible in many ways.
“There are many other cultures that have very strong work ethics as well, but I think something to learning the balance. There’s something so luxurious about slowing down and enjoying life and taking the time to actually look at someone and connect.
“Sometimes we are so busy, we don’t really connect with our own humanity and other people as much — I don’t know what we’re rushing towards.”

Ellen DeGeneres admits she’s ditched Botox and fillers

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellen DeGeneres has ditched Botox and fillers.
The stand-up comic, 66, has been battling a string of health disorders and started therapy after toxic workplace allegations infamously made against her impacted her mental health and led to the axing of her eponymous talk show.
She has now said on her final Netflix special ‘Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval’ she is embracing getting older and has stopped cosmetic procedures on her face.
Ellen said: “I used to say that I didn’t care what other people thought of me. I realise now, looking back, that I said that at the height of my popularity.
“Hey, if I look older than when you saw me last it’s because I’m older than when you saw me last. And also I stopped doing Botox and filler.
“I used to do Botox and filler back when I didn’t care what other people thought of me… such a waste of time to worry about what other think of us.
“Just a waste of energy. We’re just guessing, we don’t know. It’s impossible to guess what people are thinking.”
She also talked about her litany of health issues.
Ellen told how, after taking a bone density test, she discovered she had “full-on” brittle bone disease osteoporosis.
She added: “I don’t even know how I’m standing up right now. I’m like a human sandcastle. I could disintegrate in the shower.
“It’s hard to be honest about ageing and seem cool.
“I had excruciating pain one day and I thought I tore a ligament or something and I got an MRI and they said, ‘No, it’s just arthritis’.
“I said, ‘How did I get that?’ And he said, ‘Oh it just happens at your age’.”
Ellen has also been diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder and Attention Deficit Disorder.
She added about the conditions: “So, I have ADD, I have OCD – I’m losing my memory.
“But I think I’m well adjusted because I obsess on things, but I don’t have the attention span to stick with it, and I quickly forget what I was obsessing about in the first place.
“So, it takes me all the way around to being well adjusted, I think.”
