Frank Bruno’s brain may be in ‘slow decline’

OHMYGOSSIP — Frank Bruno is undergoing brain scans amid concerns of a “slow decline”.
The 62-year-old former heavyweight champion – who won 40 of his 45 fights in the 1980s and 1990s – is being studied by doctors, who are trying to determine if the blows to the head he sustained during his 14-year career have caused long-term damage.
Speaking in new documentary ‘Four Kings’, Frank’s daughter Rachel said: “We have learned recently that his brain might be on a slow decline.
“They are just doing scans and tests at the moment. With the impact of his career and constant knocks to the head, it’s obviously probably not helped.
“We don’t know how fast his brain is going to decline. It’s sad but we’re a strong family and we want to cherish these moments.”
Despite the concerns, Frank couldn’t be happier with how his life has panned out.
He said: “I fulfilled my dream.
“I won the world championship. I’ve got some beautiful kids. What more do you need?”
And he has subsequently insisted his health is “fine”.
He shared a statement online which read: “I confirm my health is fine.
“I am doing speaking events every week and audiences who see and hear me up and down the country will testify to that.
“People are booking me all the time, in fact the diary is looking good.”
And an insider close to the former boxer insisted the checks are a routine process for any retired fighter and Frank is currently the healthiest he has been in “years”.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Frank’s in a great place at the moment and feeling fitter and healthier than he has in years.
“Each week he will be at three or four events talking about his career and working.
“All retired boxers have regular checks, and Frank is no different.”
Frank retired from the ring in 1996 and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder that same year. Since his diagnosis he has been sectioned in a psychiatric hospital four times.

King Charles to ‘take a break’ from cancer treatment

OHMYGOSSIP — King Charles will reportedly “pause” his cancer treatment so he can take part in a tour of Australia and Samoa.
The monarch and his wife Queen Camilla are due to fly Down Under next week to kick off the visit on October 18 and now it’s been reported Charles, 75, is planning to have treatment right up until he flies out but will take a short break while he’s away and pick it up again after he returns.
The Daily Mail newspaper reports the King “will continue with his ongoing cancer treatment right up until he flies but that his doctors are happy for it to be briefly stopped while he is away.”
Charles was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in February after undergoing surgery for a prostate issue, but he returned to public life in April and has been deemed well enough for the Australia visit as well as the trip to Samoa.
Charles and the Queen will meet with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Canberra and they will also lay a wreath at the Australian War Memorial and visit the iconic Sydney Opera House.
A statement added: “The King, who has this year been receiving treatment for cancer, will meet Professor Georgina Long and Professor Richard Scolyer, both Australians of the Year, and will hear about the work they do to help those affected by melanoma, one of Australia’s most common cancers.”
Charles and the Queen will subsequently travel to Samoa for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
The meeting will be Charles’ first since he became the head of the Commonwealth, following the death of Queen Elizabeth in September 2022.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ mum fears he’s facing ‘public lynching’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ mum fears her son is facing “a public lynching”.
The 54-year-old star is behind bars in New York as he awaits trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges and now his mother Janice Smalls Combs has spoken out in his defence – declaring she’s “heartbroken” by the charges and insisting her son deserves the chance to prove his innocence.
In a statement shared with New York Post column PageSix, Janice said: “It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies.
“To bear witness what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words.
“Like every human being, my son deserves to have his day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence.”
Combs was arrested last month and has pleaded not guilty to charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution.
He was denied $50 million bail and will remain behind bars until his trial.
After the star’s arrest, his lawyer Marc Agnifilo said: “Diddy is an imperfect person but is not criminal.
“To his credit, Mr Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges.
“Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
Since being jail, around 120 alleged victims have forward with sexual assault claims and the star is expected to be hit with a series of lawsuits detailing allegations of that span more than 25 years.
A representative for Combs’ legal team said: “As Mr. Combs’ legal team has emphasised, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus.
“That said, Mr Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.
“He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the band’s management wrote: “Due to phenomenal demand, additional dates have been announced in Toronto, East Rutherford, Los Angeles and Mexico City!”
They later confirmed that “fans selected in the private pre-sale ballot” for the North American tour have been given their code and “all the information required”.
They added: “Please not, a code does not guarantee tickets. Tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis.”
The band’s Nort American tour tickets off on August 24 with two shows in Toronto, before a night in Chicago, and double headers in New Jersey, LA and Mexico City.
In August 2009 Noel Gallagher quit the band in the wake of a backstage bust-up with younger brother Liam Gallagher ahead of a Paris festival appearance which led to them being estranged for 15 years before the reunion announcement.

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicky Hilton and James Rothschild will “never” go to bed on an argument.
The 41-year-old socialite has been married to financier James, 39, since 2015 and just months after celebrating a decade of marriage together, she has revealed that she has relied on relationship advice handed down to her by her mother Kathy.
She told People: “I feel like some of the advice my mom has always given me is [to] never stop having fun, never go to bed angry and just to stop and smell the roses and enjoy every moment.”
The TV star also noted that her mother Kathy – who is known for her appearances on ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ – and her father Richard Hilton, 69, have given her an “amazing template” to work with when it comes to sustaining a marriage given that they have been together for 45 years.
Meanwhile, Nicky – who has Lily-Grace, eight,Teddy, six, and and son Chasen, two, with James – was then asked what “rules” there are in her marriage, and she admitted that neither she nor her husband will ever leave the children alone even when their hectic work schedules start to take over.
She said: “My husband and I, with our work, we travel a lot, but we always try … We will not leave the children alone. So we try and divvy up our work trips and make sure that we’re always present.”

She added: “We always try and just make that special alone-time date night”

Coleen Rooney’s Wagatha Christie battle heading back to court

OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Rooney’s Wagatha Christie battle with Rebekah Vardy is heading back to court as part of a row over the £1.8 million legal bill.
The 38-year-old star – who is married to former footballer Wayne Rooney – was unsuccessfully sued by Jamie Vardy’s wife Rebekah, 42, after she named her Instagram account as the source of leaks to the press and Rebekah was ordered to pay 90 per cent of Coleen’s legal costs – but the bill is being contested over claims it has been inflated by items including fancy dinners and stays in swanky hotels.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “As far as Becky is concerned, they have been trying to pick her pockets because they think they can get away with it.
“They underestimated their costs and are over-billing her. From the costs of experts to legal fees, the figures are ludicrous.”
The insider added: “Becky won’t stand for it. She will keep fighting in court until she feels there is a fair outcome.”
The case is due back at the High Court in London for a preliminary hearing in Monday (07.10.24).
According to the publication, items on the contested bill include £2,000 for Coleen’s lawyer to stay at the five-star Nobu Hotel as well as a £225 tab for food and drinks.
Coleen publicly claimed that “Rebekah Vardy’s account” was the source behind three fake stories she had posted on her private Instagram page – of which Rebekah was an approved follower – and she was dubbed ‘Wagatha Christie’ for her social media sleuthing, a reference to the term ‘WAGS’ which is an acronym used to refer to wives and girlfriends of high-profile sportsmen.
Rebekah sued Coleen for libel, but a judge ruled against her. In the High Court verdict delivered in July 2022, judge Mrs Justice Steyn ruled it was “likely” that Rebekah’s then-agent Caroline Watt “undertook the direct act” of passing information on but that her client was aware.
The judge said: “Nonetheless, the evidence clearly shows, in my view, that Mrs Vardy knew of and condoned this behaviour, actively engaging in it by directing Ms Watt to the private Instagram account, sending her screenshots of Mrs Rooney’s posts, drawing attention to items of potential interest to the press, and answering additional queries raised by the press via Ms Watt.
“In my judgment, the conclusions that I have reached as to the extent to which the claimant engaged in disclosing to The Sun information to which she only had access as a permitted follower of an Instagram account which she knew, and Mrs Rooney repeatedly asserted, was private, suffice to show the single meaning is substantially true.”

Reese Witherspoon proud to have ‘saved’ herself as a young single mom

OHMYGOSSIP — Reese Witherspoon is proud she was able to “save” herself as a single mom.
The 48-year-old actress – who has Ava, 25, and Deacon, 20, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, and Tennessee, 12, with former spouse Jim Toth – told how she “found” her voice in the wake of her first marriage ending in 2006 because she had no one else to rely on to make decisions for her.
Appearing on a panel during her company Hello Sunshine’s Shine Away event in Los Angeles on Saturday (05.10.24), the ‘Legally Blonde’ actress was asked if there was an “a-ha” moment where she “found” her voice, and she explained there are “so many” times, but what she loves about her company is they “look for stories that women saved themselves”.
She added: “Because every woman in this room has saved herself, [from a] financial situation, an education situation, a bad relationship, you had to save yourself.
“There’s a moment in all of our lives when you realise, no wait, no one’s coming to help, no one’s coming to make that decision.
“For me, I have to make that decision. I’ve had a lot of those. Being a single mom when I was in my late twenties, I had to make a lot of decisions for my two kids and a lot of financial decisions, too.”
Reese also spoke of the importance of recognising when you are “not good at something” and being able to ask for help, and how she realised that when Hello Sunshine had a string of awards success with ‘Big Little Lies’, ‘Wild’, and ‘Gone Girl’, but was struggling to keep afloat.
She said: “I had four employees and I couldn’t keep the lights on. I remember the accountant calling me going, you didn’t make enough money producing those three things to keep four employees. And I was like, ‘I’m doing something wrong’…
“The other thing was that I think it was an important moment for me to realise there’s things I didn’t know and I had to reach out for help, and that’s when I had a friend help me create a business plan.
“It’s also good to know what you’re not good at, and I know what I’m really good at, but it’s also important to go, ‘I’m not good at something.’ ”
Sarah Harden became CEO of the company in 2017 and Reese would ask her “literally the dumbest questions you can possibly imagine” and they turned Hello Sunshine around.
She added: “Vulnerability I think is what led to our success.
“You need to find a partner. If you’re super creative, find a partner who’s really good at business or really good at finance.
“We have to have that partnership, too.”

Stanley Tucci wanted to skip conventional cancer treatment

OHMYGOSSIP — Stanley Tucci wanted to shun conventional treatments when he was diagnosed with oral cancer but was talked out of it by his wife.
‘The Devil Wears Prada’ star, 63, was struck down with the disease in 2019 after doctors discovered a tumour at the base of his tongue and he considered opting for alternative therapies instead of chemotherapy but his wife Felicity Blunt was “adamantly against it”.
He told the Guardian newspaper: “I didn’t want to do the treatment, because I knew a lot about cancer treatments. I’d seen it. I wanted to do alternative treatments. But Felicity was adamantly against it.
“Look, I’d also seen that alternative treatments don’t work. But, unfortunately, a lot of people try alternative treatments at the 11th hour. And so the alternative doctor gets this f****** corpse, basically. You get cancer, you do standard of care treatments. And then a lot of people die anyway.
“And what people will say is cancer is just too strong. Right? If you do alternative treatments and you die, they say, ‘See, those alternative treatments don’t work’. They never say that about the chemotherapy. Some alternative treatments do work for people.
“We don’t know enough about them. A lot of it’s bulls***. But we have to really look at the system and what’s really right for each individual patient. Each cancer is different, each person is different.”
He went on to reveal he remembers very little about his cancer battle apart from being “f****** miserable and so nauseous I couldn’t lift my head off the pillow”.
Stanley – who lost his first wife Kate to breast cancer in 2009 – has since recovered but he’s convinced the health battle changed him forever. He added: “It made me tired. Like fundamentally tired. It aged me significantly.”

Liam Payne’s ex names Zayn Malik as One Direction member who ‘threw him against a wall’

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Payne’s ex-fiancee has claimed Zayn Malik once threw him against a wall.
The ‘Strip That Down’ singer revealed back in 2022 that he once got into a physical altercation with one of his One Direction bandmates but declined to identify which member of the group it was, but now following years of speculation, Maya Henry – who dated the 31-year-old star from 2019 to May 2022 – has claimed her former partner confided the full story in her.
A TikTok creator had shared a video about the mystery, along with the caption: “You can’t convince me it wasn’t Louis.”
In response, Maya, 23, stitched her own clip in which she said she “could not hold this information any more”.
She added: “I see this all the time, everywhere, I’ve heard this insufferable story so many times…he told me it was Zayn, so…”
Liam had originally told the story on Logan Paul’s ‘Impaulsive’ podcast as he discussed how he was known for “not taking s***”, but that sometimes caused tension.
He added: “There was one moment where there was an argument backstage and one member in particular threw me up a wall.
“So I said to him, ‘If you don’t remove those hands there’s a high likelihood you’ll never use them again.'”
He went on to note his bandmate eventually removed his hands.
The interview also saw the ‘Bedroom Floor’ singer admit there are “many reasons” why he doesn’t like Zayn.
He said: “There’s many reasons why I dislike Zayn and there’s many reasons why I’ll always, always be on his side.”
Liam not only caused a stir with his Zayn comments, but he declared having a child – seven-year-old son Bear – had “ruined” his relationship with Cheryl, 41, and insisted that One Direction were formed around him and he had outsold all their solo efforts with his own debut single.
He later claimed he “didn’t leave the house for three months” following the backlash over the interview.
And he admitted the way fans “turned on” him led him down a dark path.
He wrote on his Instagram Story: “It got quite dark for me for one point when you guys turned on me. I didn’t leave the house for 3 months.
“You guys know I’m sorry about all that stuff I love my boys not sure what was going on with me other than I had a problem with me and I took it out on everyone else…
“Never had a bigger chip on my shoulder and I’m really glad to lose it.
“I’m hoping that you guys can forgive me in time because we’ve been through far to much but the jokes are funny keep em coming.(sic)”

Peter Andre ‘couldn’t talk about mental health breakdown’

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Andre felt like he “couldn’t talk to anyone” after suffering a breakdown in the 1990s.
The pop star has revealed he struggled with mental health after shooting to fame, but didn’t feel he could ask for support from his friends and family because discussing the subject was considered “taboo” and even his doctors didn’t know how to help him.
In his column for OK! magazine, Peter wrote: “I think it’s so important for men to be able to talk about their feelings and struggles. People find it hard to believe that you can be a royal or a billionaire but struggle mentally. But having money doesn’t fix your mental health …
“I remember having my first breakdown in the 90s and the years that followed were horrific. I felt like I couldn’t talk to anyone because it was taboo. Back then, you’d go to a doctor and sometimes they wouldn’t know what to do.”
The dad-of-five went on to reveal he encourages all of his kids to be open about their feelings because he doesn’t want any of them to suffer in the same way.
He added: “I always encourage all my kids to be open about how they feel. All the time I’ll say, ‘Do you want to sit and talk about anything?’ … I never want my kids to experience [what I went through].”
Peter previously revealed his mental health issues lasted for decades and he didn’t truly start to recover until his was in his 40s but was then dealt a setback when forced to deal with the death of his brother.
In a previous column for new! magazine, he explained: “My breakdown lasted a long time. It was only when I got to my forties that I truly started to come through it. I think I was lost – I was getting better, then my brother Andrew passed away and that triggered a lot of things – but the best thing is, there’s a lot of help out there now.
“I think it’s really important to celebrate mental health, and no matter whether you’re cured or not cured, it’s important to remember that it can reappear any time, but there are so many support options out there.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Madonna reportedly moved her brother Christopher Ciccone into her Los Angeles home and cared for him during his cancer battle.
The pop superstar was left devastated after her younger sibling passed away in Michigan on Friday (04.10.24) following a struggle with pancreatic cancer and now a new report has revealed the pair mended their previously fractured relationship and she “spared no expense” to make sure he had “the best possible care and support”.

Following Christopher’s death, Madonna remembered him in an emotional statement posted on Instagram. She wrote: “My brother Christopher is gone. He was the closest human to me for so long. Its hard to explain our bond.

Sabrina Carpenter thinks Barry Keoghan is ‘greatest actor’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sabrina Carpenter thinks Barry Keoghan is the “greatest actor”.
The 25-year-old singer cast her boyfriend as her love interest in her music video for ‘Please Please Please’ and she admitted he was an easy choice for the project.
She told ‘CBS Sunday Morning’: “I am genuinely, like a not even biased opinion, was like, ‘Who’s the greatest actor that I can find for this music video?’
“And he was next to me, in a chair, and he was so excited about it. And he liked the song, which is great. He’s a fan of the song.”
“He does like my music a lot.”
The ‘Espresso’ hitmaker was one of the opening acts on Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ and she praised the “graceful and gracious” superstar for her support.
She said: “You just watch her, like, walk in a room and it’s very easy to understand that she’s so composed, she’s graceful, she’s gracious.”
Asked the advice she’s received from Taylor, she said: “I wouldn’t say it’s, like, a verbal thing as much as just, like, she’s very supportive of me and knows who I am as a person and is very supportive of that. So I’m grateful for that.”
Sabrina also credits her mom for keeping her grounded.
She said: “She’s so selfless, and has been that way her whole life with me and my sisters. I love her so much!”
“[She told me] not to take everything so seriously all the time. So, that’s been really helpful.
“My mom’s such a positive person. I don’t think she’s ever made me feel like what I was doing was too much, ever.”
The ‘Taste’ singer is currently in the midst of an international tour and relies on humour and caffeine to keep the pressure at bay.
She said: “There’s always gonna be stress, there’s always going to be anxiety, there’s always gonna be drama.
“But for me, like, being able to laugh about it is really important. So, I would say that.
“And also caffeine. Because without caffeine, I wouldn’t be doing this interview right now!”

Kerry Katona ‘scared to go out’ following bag theft

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona has been left “scared to go out” after her bag was stolen.
The former Atomic Kitten singer has bemoaned having the “worst luck” after her designer holdall was taken by a “strange” man from a London hotel she was staying at with fiance Ryan Mahoney and though she knows her belongings can be replaced, she was still left shaken by the incident.
Kerry wrote in her column for new! magazine: “I was robbed in London while staying in a hotel in Mayfair last week – I couldn’t believe it, I have the worst luck.
“Ryan and I were checking in to the hotel, which I won’t name, and since our room wasn’t ready we left our bags with the concierge and grabbed some lunch.
“I left my Gucci holdall with them which had all my medication in it for my back and chronic pain, the phone I use for my banking apps, my earphones and much more.
“I did notice a man who was acting strangely in the hotel lobby while we were there but I don’t like to judge people, so didn’t think anything of it.
“However, later the hotel said my bag was missing and after checking the CCTV, we saw him take it once Ryan and I had left. It was so triggering for me and I did feel emotional afterwards, it’s just so scary to think you’re not safe.
“Thankfully, Ryan and I are OK and things can be replaced, it’s just frustrating and scary. I don’t understand how people can wake up and decide to do these things, it’s awful. When things like this happen it makes me scared to go out as I don’t want to be targeted.”
The 44-year-old star was in London for a consultation about her impending facelift, which she is “excited” about.
She wrote: “On a brighter note, I had my facelift consultation this week and I can’t wait for it. I’m not getting a full facelift, it’s just a lower face and neck lift. I went to Pall Mall Medical and I trust them completely.
“I think if you want something done, then why not? I am getting older so some tweaks are OK, without going too far.
“I’ve got panto in December, where Katie Price and I are starring in ‘Cinderella’, so I’m not going to have it done until next year.
“I am always going to be nervous but I trust my doctors and am excited.
“Recovering from surgery is a bit like giving birth, it’s scary and tough when you do it, but then later you want another one!”

Laura Dern consults Reese Witherspoon on ‘everything’

OHMYGOSSIP — Laura Dern “runs everything” by Reese Witherspoon before she makes a decision.
The 57-year-old actress – who is the daughter of Hollywood stars Bruce Dern and Diane Ladd – admitted the friendship networks she’s built up over the years have been very important to her, and her ‘Big Little Lies’ co-star has proven to be hugely influential on her life.
Speaking during a panel at Hello Sunshine’s second Shine Away event in Los Angeles on Saturday (05.10.24), Laura said of her Hollywood networks: “What I learned from the four or five women who raised me who were actresses, who then became writers or producers or directors, was that there was no community, there was no inside without each other.
“And that sisterhood drove them. Jane Fonda being one, along with my mother and an amazing group of women who decided they had to be the storytellers to be in the story at all, and they are true pioneers that led us to understand that.
“So I felt so lucky to have that lens and then to find sisterhood on this stage — and basically I run everything by Reese.
“From my romantic life all the way to what jobs I should do.”
And Reese revealed they also get together for non-career focused events.
She quipped: “We produced a barbecue last week.”
Laura added: “We did. It was amazing.”
Reese previously revealed she calls the ‘Jurassic Park’ actress by her surname because she finds it “confusing” addressing her pal by her own real first name.
Speaking with Vanity Fair magazine, fellow ‘Big Little Lies’ star Nicole Kidman said to her pal: “I hate how you call her Dern. It sounds so weird.
“I’m always like ‘Laura,’ and you’re like ‘No, Dern, Dern,’ and I’m like, ‘Why?'”
Reese quickly interjected: “‘Cause my name is Laura, and her name’s Laura, and it’s confusing to me. My real name’s Laura Jeanne.
“So, I get confused so I just call her Dern. Because we can’t both be Laura.”
Nicole, 56, forgot her castmates share the same first name, but she was still confused by the whole situation.
She pointed out: “She doesn’t even call you Laura, though.”
Reese, 48, quipped: “You’re trying to understand something that just makes no sense.”
Her full name is actually Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon, and she took on her mother’s maiden name when she started acting in the 1990s.

Marisa Abela feared cancer surgery would end her career

OHMYGOSSIP — Marisa Abela feared her career was over after she had thyroid cancer surgery.
The 27-year-old actress was diagnosed with the disease in November 2020, shortly after wrapping the first series of ‘Industry’, and she admitted she was worried the long scar she was left with on her neck would put casting directors off hiring her.
She told The Times magazine: “When I first went to the bathroom after surgery and I saw myself in the mirror, I thought, ‘That’s it, my career is over,’ because [my neck] was stapled, bloody. It wasn’t pretty at all and the scar is big.
“[I couldn’t] imagine ever playing a character where her description isn’t, ‘And she has this big scar on her neck.’ ”
As well as surgery, Marisa also had to undergo a radioactive iodine treatment, which meant isolating in a lead-lined room for 24 hours before avoiding close contact with other people for two weeks.
She recalled: “It is mental. A sort of nuclear physicist in an astronaut suit gives you this box and you unscrew the box and tip it up and this pulsating neon tablet goes into you — like something from the opening of ‘The Simpsons’.
“And then this man, standing the other side of the room, points a sort of gun thing at you to see how nuclear you are and it goes like, ‘Bbbbrrrrrrr’ and he’s like, ‘Yup, good to go,’ and he runs out of the room.
“And you’re just left there thinking, ‘This is in my body. How has someone just given this to me?’ And you’re radioactive.
“[Back home] you have to drink loads of fluids because you wee it out, but every time you go for a wee you have to bleach the toilet and flush it five times.”
The ‘Industry’ actress’ battle with the disease had an impact on her relationship with her body.
She said: “But [after] being diagnosed with cancer — even if it’s something like thyroid cancer, which isn’t necessarily life-threatening — there’s a distrust within your body that I really wouldn’t wish on anyone.
“This thing existed inside me for years without me knowing it was there — and that has changed my relationship with my body….
“I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t affect me, but fundamentally my priority is trying to maintain a healthy body.
“When you’re on cancer wards, you’re seeing things that are so bleak and so sad and it really does just put everything into perspective.”

Katie Price’s ex warns surgery could kill her

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Price’s ex fiance Carl Woods is convinced her obsession with cosmetic surgery will eventually kill her.
The 46-year-old former glamour model jetted out to Turkey over the summer to undergo surgery on her face – believed to be her sixth facelift in recent years – after previously having numerous boob jobs, liposuction and a Brazilian butt lift among other procedures and now her ex-fiance Carl has warned there may come a time when she “doesn’t wake up” after an anaesthetic.
Carl told OK! magazine: “They say in your life you can only have so much anaesthetic before it’s a problem. And like everything in her life, Kate likes to push the boundaries. I feel like she’ll never be happy.
“Unfortunately, there could be that final time she doesn’t wake up. Sadly, I do 100 per cent believe that could happen. But Kate never spoke to me about being scared about it, she’d brush off all that talk.”
Carl – who dated Katie for around three and half years – went on to admit he considered having liposuction himself but was put off when he saw the state of his partner after her own operation.
He added: “I got wrapped up in it all for a while – because she was constantly on this mission for perfection, so I started criticising myself. But when I saw her after her lipo, I was like, ‘Oh, my God. No, no way are they doing that to me’. She looked like she’d been hit by a train.”
Carl revealed Katie was covered in seeping wounds and was “crying in agony” and he immediately cancelled his procedure.
He said: “I told the doctors to take my cannula out there and then, and said, ‘I’m not going through with it.’ She looked like an octopus, she had so many drains coming out of her. Her wounds had pus, they were bleeding, and she was crying in agony. I looked at her and I thought, ‘Why are you doing this to yourself?”
Katie has previously insisted she’s glad she wanted until later in life before experimenting with cosmetic surgery – and warned young women not to get anything down when they are in their 20s.
Speaking on the ‘How To Fail With Elizabeth Day’ podcast, Katie explained: “I didn’t start doing my face until I was in my 40s. I had a boob job, but I didn’t even have filler … I didn’t do it all in my 20s. I think everyone looks like aliens these days.
“All the girls look the same now, and I think, what are they going to look like then when they’re my age? …
“People don’t realise when you have surgery and stuff, you only see before and after, you don’t see in between – when you’ve had it, the pain and the cleaning, the stitches out and the bed rests.
“So I would love to educate people about it. It’s damaging to your body. I’ve had so many anaesthetics. I know I still choose to do it, but I’m older now.”
