OHMYGOSSIP — Keanu Reeves made his professional car racing debut on Saturday (05.10.24).
The 60-year-old actor is involved in the Toyota GR Cup in Indianapolis this weekend and his first race saw him finish a respectable 25th out of 35 cars.
At one point, the ‘Speed’ star spun into the grass without a collision on the exit of turn nine, but was able to re-enter and continue driving after signalling he wasn’t injured, and he successfully avoided a first lap crush at turn 14.
Keanu made it as high as 21st at one point in the race.
The ‘Matrix’ actor – who qualified 31st out of the 35 cars – has a second race on Sunday (06.10.24).
He is driving the No 92 BRZRKR car, which is decorated to promote his new graphic novel ‘The Book of Elsewhere’ and he is teammates with Cody Jones from Dude Perfect.
While this is Keanu’s first professional race, he has previously taken part in the celebrity race in the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach and even won the event in 2009.
Meanwhile, Keanu recently told how his knee “cracked like a potato chip” in a freak accident when he tripped on a piece of carpet on the set of ‘Good Fortune’.
During an appearance on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’, Keanu explained: “I was filming a scene with Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen and we were in a cold plunge.
“I was loving it, I was standing there, and we finish the scene, and you know when you’re cold and you’re [shuffling]? I had a bathing suit and a towel, and you put it over your head and you do the cold shuffle?
“I’m doing the cold shuffle in this room that had protective carpets down and then, just here, there was like a little pocket, and my foot got caught in the pocket in the shuffle, and then I went [down], but [my knee] didn’t follow.
“And then, in slow motion, I went falling. My arms came out, but then my knee failed because it’s got some stuff, and I spiked it. And my patella – kneecap – cracked like a potato chip.”
Initially, Keanu was convinced he was fine following the fall but he later realised something was wrong because his knee was “blowing up”.
He quipped: “Comedy’s hard, man.”
Keanu continued working on the film, but his co-star and director Aziz Ansari later revealed they had to push back a scene involving salsa dancing until the actor’s injury had healed.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristen Bell has apologised to parents for getting ‘Let It Go’ from ‘Frozen’ “stuck in their head”.
The 44-year-old actress starred in the Disney musical movie as Anna, and while she considers herself “very, very lucky” to have been a part of such a big cinematic hit, she admitted she’s had to say sorry to parents for the earworm song.
She told People magazine: “I’ve apologised to a few parents for getting those songs stuck in their head, but I consider myself very, very lucky to be a part of that juggernaut.”
‘The Good Place’ star added several people still didn’t know she had sang in the animated film, though stressed the confusion was understandable since her face doesn’t appear in the blockbuster.
She said: “Why would they know that was me. It’s not our faces in the movie.”
After starring in the picture and its 2019 sequel, Bell said she would rather move away from hard-hitting roles in favour of parts that were lighter.
She said: “I’m definitely drawn to projects where I think I’m going to have a good time rather than go through some intense hardship and hope for a creative outcome.”
The actress could most recently be seen in the Netflix series ‘Nobody Wants This’, where she plays an agnostic sex podcast producer who falls in love with mild-mannered rabbi Noah, as played by Adam Brody.
Bell explained she was attracted to the project because it was able to tackle both light-hearted themes as well as “more serious topics” about love.
She said: “I liked it so much because it felt like a very modern take on romance, and the characters are not 22, they’re like 38.
“It addresses everything from the perils of dating apps to more serious topics like what it actually mean for people with different backgrounds and outlooks on life to bridge those differences in the name of love.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Artem Chivgintsev has been granted a restraining order against Nikki Garcia.
The former couple split after two years of marriage in the wake of a row on 29 August that led to police being called and the dancer arrested on domestic violence charges and days after the ‘Total Bellas’ star obtained a court order banning her estranged husband from going within 100 yards of her or their four-year-old son Matteo, the ex-‘Dancing with the Stars’ professional has sought a similar arrangement against Nikki.
According to documents obtained by People magazine, Artem – who won’t face criminal charges following his arrest – filed for a protective order on Thursday (03.10.24) and it was granted the following day ahead of a full hearing on 21 October.
The 42-year-old star’s account of the events leading to his arrest was different to Nikki’s in their respective court filings, with Artem alleging his spouse appeared stressed due to work and “escalated the argument” by criticising him for not taking an equal share of parenting responsibility, which he insisted was “completely false”.
The dancer insisted he then left the room to “let her cool down” while he helped Matteo get ready to leave, but the former wrestler followed and allegedly continued to shout complaints at him, getting angrier at his “calm” responses before she “completely lost it” and told him to get out before “forcefully throwing both of Matteo’s sneakers” at him.
Nikki had admitted throwing the shows in her filing after growing “overwhelmed” by Artem yelling at her, but insisted they “weigh hardly anything and could not have hurt him.”
Artem told how he had taken Matteo to his room and wouldn’t let Nikki in, but when she forced her way in, the little boy began crying so he moved himself and his wife out to the hallway.
He alleged: “I tried to get her off me and away from the door frame so that Matteo would not witness any further conflict.
“I cannot stress enough how many times I pleaded with her to stop and calm down. There was a mutual struggle, and both ended up on the ground. At that moment, I knew that nothing I would say would get to her [and] make her calm down.
“I was hurt and scared of her continuing on. I needed help for her to stop.”
In her own filing, Nikki stated Artem had opened the door and “tackled” her to the ground before pinning her down when she tried to get in the bedroom, and pushing down on her chest.
Artem called police and remained outside until they arrived but was ultimately arrested, which he noted in his filing had surprised him as he wasn’t the primary aggressor.
He included photos of injuries he alleged had been caused by Nikki in his paperwork.
His lawyer, Illona Antonyan, told People magazine: “It is crucial to consider the motivations of both parties in this situation.
“Mr. Chigvintsev contacted law enforcement on [Aug. 29.] seeking protection from his wife’s persistent aggression. While he was on the phone with the police, Ms. Garcia-Colace made a pointed statement, saying, ‘Do you understand where this is going now, Artem? You just ruined my career, and you know it.’ That day, someone was going to be arrested, and it wouldn’t have been Mr. Chigvintsev if Ms. Garcia Colace had told the truth.
“He denies ever tackling her. He was shocked to learn two weeks after the incident that she made this allegation against him; at that point it made sense to him why he was arrested.
“As a result of wife’s self-serving statement, Mr. Chigvintsev’s career suffered, with numerous opportunities being canceled due to these false allegations. He was not the primary aggressor.”

The 43-year-old socialite initially worried about being “boxed in” by neurodiversity but has grown to celebrate the fact she thinks in “bold, unexpected ways” and believes her condition has helped her to “break boundaries” and continue to set trends.
In an essay for Teen Vogue magazine, she wrote in part: “At first, being diagnosed felt like a label — something that boxed me in, defining me by what I couldn’t do, by what made me different.

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William thinks it is “really important” to “challenge the narrative around homelessness”.
The Prince of Wales is passionate about his Homewards initiative, which is setting out to end homelessness in the UK, and a new documentary is set to shine a light on the work he is doing with the project.
William and wife Catherine, Princess of Wales’ X account shared a preview clip from ‘Prince William: We Can End Homelessness’ – which will air on ITV and ITVX soon – in which the prince said: “I think it’s really important that we can try and change and tackle the narrative around homelessness.
“We see it every day in our lives. That’s something I want to challenge.”
The documentary will showcase the work William has done with Homewards and also see him meet with a man who used to be homeless, as well as a fire chief.
Director Leo Burley previously said of the two-part film: “Over the past year, we have spent time following Prince William and The Royal Foundation through the first year of the Homewards program.
“We’ve heard some incredibly moving stories from people across the country facing homelessness.
“From street homelessness in Newport, to families living in temporary accommodation in Sheffield, and youth homelessness in Aberdeen, the documentary paints a picture of homelessness across the UK today, working with many people who never expected to experience life without a place to call home.
“Everyone we’ve filmed with has welcomed the spotlight that Prince William and Homewards are placing on the U.K.’s homelessness crisis.”
When the prince launched Homewards in June 2023, it was revealed the initiative would provide £3.8 million to six different locations as part of William’s dream to end homelessness.
He said in a statement at the time: “In a modern and progressive society, everyone should have a safe and secure home, be treated with dignity and given the support they need.
“Through Homewards, I want to make this a reality and over the next five years, give people across the UK hope that homelessness can be prevented when we collaborate.”

The ‘Poldark’ actress has taken to Instagram to reveal she and husband Will Owen are expecting their first child, two years after they got married, and she “can’t wait” to be a parent.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end turned 35 on Saturday (05.10.24) and celebrated with family and friends, but not girlfriend Taylor Swift, at his annual Kelce Car Jam in Kansas City, with fans turning out to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ and hand over cards to mark the occasion.
Asked by the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column what he wants for his birthday, Travis said: “I’ll take another Super Bowl if you got one of those.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ozzy Osbourne still smokes marijuana – but hides his habit from wife Sharon Osbourne.
The 75-year-old rocker – who has been open his battle with drink and drug addiction – admitted he isn’t “completely sober” and has been tempted to return to stronger substances because of his health issues as he struggles with Parkinson’s disease, as well as back and neck problems.
Speaking on his ‘Madhouse Chronicles’ podcast, he said: “I am happier but I am not completely sober. I use a bit of marijuana from time to time.
“I am lucky my wife kicks my butt all the time and she would make life so difficult,” he said. “Even with marijuana she will f***ing find it and get rid of it.”
The ‘Paranoid’ hitmaker also admitted he had a “tiny bit” of ketamine after being offered the drug by his doctor.
He said: “I went to a doctor recently and started to have this ketamine.
“He put a tiny bit in me but that was enough to spark me.
“That thing came back and weighted my brain.”
And while Ozzy has stopped attending Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings, he has considered returning.
He said: “If you are out there and you are using dope and you want to get off, there is plenty of help. AA is a 12-step programme. It got me sorted out to a certain degree. I do not go to meetings myself anymore. Maybe I should do, I don’t know.”
The former Black Sabbath frontman also issued a warning against “micro dosing” drugs, insisting it wouldn’t work for him.
He said: “They do not make smack light. The thing is for me, that is lighting the fuse. The old saying in the program (Narcotics Anonymous) is one is too many and ten is not enough. That is it in a nutshell.
“I watched a programme years ago where once a month a guy used heroin to get loaded – I do not understand that. It starts off as a little bit, but I can guarantee at the end of the f****** night there would be none left.”

OHMYGOSSIP — TikTok star Taylor Rousseau Grigg has died.
The social media personality – who had over 1.4 million followers on the platform – passed away at the age of 25, her husband Cameron Grigg announced on Saturday (05.10.24).
Cameron noted Taylor’s passing was “sudden and expected” and her body has remained in hospital for organ donation, but he didn’t offer any further details about the circumstances surrounding her death.
He shared photos of himself and his wife and wrote: “No one ever expects to have to deal with this kind of pain and heartache, especially at our age.
“This past year Taylor has dealt with more pain and suffering than most people do in a lifetime. And in spite of that, she still has been such a light and always brought joy to everyone around her.
“She is the most brave and strong woman I know, and her confidence in the Lord outweighed every other circumstance she’s faced, even in her darkest hours. I know she’s saved my life and so many others out there.”
Cameron went on to explain how Taylor’s organs would be donated as he knows she’d have wanted to continue to help people after her death.
He wrote: “More than anything Taylor would want to know that she’s continuing to save people’s lives even after she’s gone from this world. And even though her earthly body may have failed her, her memory and life will be carried on forever.
“While her earthly body is still here waiting to give the gift of life, we know her spirit is in heaven dancing in the streets made of gold with all her beauty and grace. Her endless shoe/boot collection. And her rhinestones and turquoise jewellery.”
Noting Taylor was “no longer in pain”, Cameron also revealed a GoFundMe page has been set up in honour of his wife’s memory.
He wrote: “With this being so sudden and unexpected we don’t have anything financially in order. Taylor has been in and out of the hospital since we got married which has affected our financial situation, therefore we don’t have any insurance.
“A friend set up a gofundme for anyone who would like to contribute. And even if you can’t contribute financially, prayers for our family are always needed. I’ll share the link and really appreciate if y’all would share it as well.(sic)”
The page stated the money donated would help to cover the costs of a benefit in Taylor’s honour as she “would love to have everyone who loved her celebrate her life.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Madonna’s brother has died.
The 66-year-old singer is mourning the loss of her younger sibling, Christopher Ciccone, after he passed away in Michigan on Friday (04.10.24) after battling cancer, his representative has confirmed to TMZ.
Christopher was 63 years old.
He and Madonna were very close in the early days of her career, and she hired him as one of her backing dancers.
He later became her show designer and backstage dresser and was the art director for her ‘Blonde Ambition’ world tour and tour director for ‘The Girlie Show’.
Christopher – who also directed videos for Tony Bennett and Dolly Parton, as well as working as an interior designer – fell out with his superstar sibling when he released his 2008 best-selling book ‘Life With My Sister Madonna’.
The two eventually reconciled, and in 2012, Christopher released his own footwear line.
The tragic news comes just a few weeks after Madonna’s stepmother, Joan Ciccone, died from a “very aggressive cancer”.
The 81 year old – who was married to the singer’s Silvio Ciccone – passed away “peacefully” on 24 September after a brief bout of ill health and a memorial posted online revealed her family’s sadness over the loss.
It read: “Joan Clare Ciccone passed away peacefully early in the morning of September 24th, 2024, after a brief encounter with a very aggressive cancer. She will be terribly missed by her family and friends whose lives she enriched with her enthusiasm, joy and love.”
Joan married Silvio in 1966 following the death of his first wife – Madonna’s mother who shared the same name as the singer – and took on his six kids. They had three children of their own, including a son who died shortly after birth.
The obituary added: “She took special joy in her grandkids later in life and with the grim cancer prognosis lamented that she was sad she would not see them marry and have kids of their own.”
Madonna’s mother died in 1963 after a battle with breast cancer when the pop star was five years old.

The pair split during the summer after three years of marriage and on Friday (04.10.24), the ‘Flop or Flop’ star announced she is selling the Tennessee home where Joshua Hall has been staying since their separation as she hit out at her spouse in an apparent response to a dig he made at her expense.
Joshua had shared on his Instagram Story: “Cutting people off and letting them live with whatever delusional story suits them best, is top tier.”
Hours later, Christina – who has three children from previous relationships – wrote on her own Story: “Remember when you said you never steal from me or my kids and you would just be happy in a van with your dog.
“I guess plans changed.

Christina later shared a photo of her Leiper’s Fork property, where she filmed ‘Christina in the Country’, and revealed the six-bedroom, six-bathroom abode – which she is sole owner of after buying it in 2021 – is up for sale for $4.5 million.
She wrote: “My Tennessee home is officially for sale. Excited for a new venture in business and real estate!”
In her social media rant, Christina blasted Joshua for “asking for an obscene amount” in a divorce settlement and repeated her previous accusations that he had stolen from her.

Stealing rental income for two of my sole properties and separate homes is factual (booking a cleaner does not make you a property manager) I have one who gets a % for her actual work of being a property manager…

OHMYGOSSIP — Nacho Figueras is “honoured” to be part of Prince Harry’s upcoming polo documentary series.
The 47-year-old sportsman is a regular teammate of the Duke of Sussex and he was only too happy to work with his pal on upcoming Netflix series ‘POLO’, which looks behind the scenes at the sport, but stressed he and his royal friend are not the main focus of the show.
He told People magazine: “Look, to me, it’s an honour to do anything with him. He’s a dear friend.
“This is more his project than it is mine. It’s an honour to know that I was able to help.
“And the show is not about me. It’s not about him … So we’ve been working very hard on it and we’re very excited about the outcome.”
The series, which Harry is producing via his Archewell Productions company, will premiere in December and Nacho was keen not to give too much away about it.
Asked his best memory of filming, he said: “Look, everything about it. I would love for it to be a kind of, like a surprise. But what I can tell you is that me as a polo player, I think this is something that I’ve been waiting for my entire life.”
But he is looking forward to the docuseries being able to “introduce millions of people to what the sport is all about.”
He added: “You know, the behind-the-scenes, kind of like what ‘Drive to Survive’ did for Formula 1.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens … Hopefully, this will be the beginning of a, hopefully, longer series that will expose our sport to millions of people.”
Figueras and Harry met at a 2007 charity match benefiting the prince’s charity Sentebale and have been friends ever since.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have asked police to step up patrols near their house.
The couple – who own multiple properties across Southern California – reportedly contacted law enforcement services earlier in the week asking them to keep a closer eye on their marital abode.
Sources told TMZ the pair had made the request due to past trespassers who have made their way into their grounds, though there isn’t a specific current threat they are concerned about.
Instead, Kourtney and Travis hope the additional police visibility will act as a deterrent.
Police told the outlet that anyone can ask for extra patrols in their area and deputies will try and fulfill the request.
Meanwhile, Travis recently revealed he and Kourtney, 45, are committed to keeping their 11-month-old son Rocky “out of the spotlight”.
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, the Blink-182 drummer said: “Unfortunately, someone finally got a photo of him, but we’d rather keep him out of the spotlight.”
The 48-year-old rock star wishes he had kept his older children – son Landon, 20, and daughter Alabama, 18 – out of the spotlight.

The ‘Feeling This’ hitmaker also spoke about his special musical bond with his musician son Landon.
He said: “When I was growing up, I was into the Beastie Boys, Slayer, King Diamond and Minor Threat while my dad was listening to Johnny Cash, Buck Owens and Willie Nelson. At the time it was hard, having different musical tastes. But my son and I have had the same musical taste all our lives.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Madonna has paid a heartfelt tribute to her brother following his death.
The ‘Vogue’ hitmaker’s younger sibling, Christopher Ciccone passed away in Michigan on Friday (04.10.24) after battling cancer, and the 66-year-old singer has recalled how they bonded over a love of dance and told of the adventures they had when they first moved to New York together.
She wrote on Instagram: “My brother Christopher is gone. He was the closest human to me for so long. Its hard to explain our bond.
“But it grew out of an understanding that we were different and society was going to give us a hard time for not following the status quo. We took each other‘s hands and we danced through the madness of our childhood. In fact dance was a kind of superglue that held us together.
“Discovering Dance in our small Midwestern town saved me and then my brother came along, and it saved him too. My ballet Teacher, also named Christopher- created a safe space for my brother to be Gay. a word that was not spoken or even whispered where we lived.
“When I finally got the courage to go to New York to become a Dancer. My brother followed. And again we took each other’s hands, and we danced through the madness of New York City!
“We devoured Art and Music And Film like hungry animals. we were in the epicenter of all of these things exploding.
“We danced through the madness of the AIDS epidemic. We went to funerals and we cried, and we went dancing.”
Christopher went from his sister’s backing dancer to her show designer and backstage dresser, and was the art director for her ‘Blonde Ambition’ world tour and tour director for ‘The Girlie Show’ and Madonna hailed him as a “visionary” with impeccable taste, even when they rowed.
She wrote: “We danced together on stage in the beginning of my career and eventually, he became the Creative Director, of many tours. When it came to good taste, my brother was the Pope, and you had to kiss the ring to get his blessing.
“We defied the Roman Catholic Church, The Police, the Moral Majority and all Authority figures that got in the way of Artistic freedom! My brother was right by my side.
“He was a painter a poet and a visionary. I admired him. He had impeccable taste. And a sharp tongue, Which he sometimes used against me but I always forgave him. We soared the highest heights together And floundered in the lowest lows.
“Somehow, we always found each other again and We held hands and we kept dancing.”
Christopher – who also directed videos for Tony Bennett and Dolly Parton, as well as working as an interior designer – fell out with his superstar sibling when he released his 2008 best-selling book ‘Life With My Sister Madonna’ but they later reconciled and the ‘Beautiful Stranger’ singer did her best to “keep him alive” in his final months.
She concluded: “The last few years have not been easy. We did not speak for sometime but When my brother got sick. We found our way back to each other. I did my best to keep him alive as long as possible.
“He was in so much pain towards the end. Once again, we held hands We closed our eyes and we danced. Together.
“I’m glad he’s not suffering anymore. There will never be anyone like him. I know he’s dancing somewhere.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga is in a “new place” in her life and feels good.
The 38-year-old singer-and-actress admitted she has been “through a lot” over the years and while she feels “really grateful” for her career success and the support of her fans, she’s more at ease with her position now.
The ‘Joker: Folie a Deux’ star told People magazine: “I’m in a new place.
“I’ve been in the music industry since I was a teenager. And I’ve been working in the film industry for the last 10 years or so.
“And, you know, I think that I just went through a lot.
“I feel really grateful for the career that I’ve had.
“And I feel so grateful for my fans. Also, I think I had a lot of trouble with it at one point.
“I just feel a lot better now, and it’s nice to be able to say that. I feel really grateful to be able to say that.”
The ‘Poker Face’ hitmaker recently admitted she regrets being “so hard” on herself in her early days of fame.
Speaking on the ‘Smallzy’s Surgery’ podcast, she said: “You know, I probably would have told myself not to be so hard on myself sometimes but I would have just reminded myself what I would remind any younger which is just to be myself because all that matters is that you’re yourself. Then, you can go to bed and just wake up in the morning.
“And also, to find the softness in it all because I feel like having peace in anyone’s life is the most valuable thing that we can have.”
Gaga recently released ‘Harlequin’, a companion album to her new movie ‘Joker: Folie a Deux’ and she admitted she is feeling “so creative” at the moment.
She said: “All I can tell you is that I’ve just been feeling so creative, and really connected to music and I’ve been working on so much music. I’m really excited to play it for the fans.
“But every time I play a character, or create a character, it has an absolute influence on all aspects of my output and this character just gave me so much because she can not be pinned down. I would say 100 percent playing Lee was something that stayed me through a lot.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Smith’s marriage has lasted so long because he and his wife have “no rules”.
The ‘4:30 Movie’ writer-and-director married Jennifer Schwalbach Smith in April 1999 and he doesn’t think there’s a set reason why they have stayed together for so long other than enjoying one another’s company.
Kevin told People magazine: “My first instinct is, well, there’ve been no rules, and that’s probably why it’s worked so well for 25 years.
“I can’t speak for her, but I just like seeing her. I just like being around her. She’s my human.”
The 54-year-old director – who met Jennifer when she was a journalist interviewing him about his ‘Clerks’ comic book – praised his 53-year-old wife for her support over the years.
He said: “I spend a lot of time on the road and doing gigs elsewhere and whatnot, and over the 25 years she’s travelled with me a bunch and then lately she stays home to watch the dogs and stuff like that.
“She’s been there shotgun through 25 years of this, and she’s always been gracious about taking a back seat to it.
“When you’re married to an artist — an artist who lives with his or her head up their ass thinking about, ‘Oh my God, the whole world has to know what I think and feel’ — I would imagine that must be irritating to live with. But she’s lived with it for a quarter century.”
Meanwhile, the couple’s daughter Harley, 25, has appeared in a number of his movies, including ‘Tusk’, ‘Yoga Hosers’ and ‘Clerks II and III’, and Kevin admitted it is a lot of “fun” working with her.
He said: “It’s always fun to be able to sit there and make pretend with your kid.
“It’s on a movie and it’s a larger scale and she’s 25 and I’m 54, but at its root, it’s some variation of us playing hide-and-seek or video games together when she was a little kid.”
He also praised his daughter’s “maturity as an actor and as a person,” which “always capture [his] imagination.”
He added: “But I’ve spent the better part of 25 years now just trying to make this kid laugh, and it’s one of my favourite things in the world to do.”
