OHMYGOSSIP — Dev Patel says his ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ role is both a “blessing and a curse”.
The 26-year-old actor rose to fame starring in the lead role in the 2008 movie but admits whilst it put him “on the map”, he has to fight against it and “prove he is more than that”.
He told Variety magazine: “It’s a blessing and a curse, that film, for me. It put me on the map and did great things, but you’re fighting against it. To lots of people, I’m the dude from ‘Slumdog.’ You have to go out there and earn your stripes and prove more than that.”
Meanwhile, Dev previously admitted he felt like he became “a man” when he filmed his latest movie ‘Lion’.
He said: “After the audition, [Davis] said ‘If we decide to go with you. I really want you to change.’ He said he wanted to see a Dev Patel that no one has ever seen before. I become a man, really … Journeys like this don’t come around very often for someone who looks like I do.”
The film has received rave reviews and there is a lot of Oscar buzz surrounding the drama, which also stars Nicole Kidman.
Speaking about the “flattering” Oscar buzz, Dev shared: “It’s totally flattering, but I didn’t sign up for this role because I thought I was going to get an Oscar. That was the last thing on my mind. When I read the script, I was a puddle of tears. I couldn’t believe this was a true story. We were all in it because we loved these people, and we wanted to live in their skin for a year of our lives.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Johansson is pleased to see more “female energy” on set.
The ‘Captain America: Civil War’ star is glad to see more women working on film sets as she feels it was “basically a bunch of dudes” running movies ten years ago.
She told The New York Times’ Turning Points magazine: “We see more female directors, more women in various departments on set. If you looked around a film set even 10 years ago, it was basically a bunch of dudes; maybe in the wardrobe department or in the hair and makeup department there would be women.
“Now you see more female camera assistants, cinematographers, grips. It’s nice to have a diverse group of people so that it doesn’t become so one-note – to have a female energy on set, to have different types of people and different vibes, and a more balanced creative environment.”
Meanwhile, Scarlett previously admitted she found it “disappointing” to be named the highest-grossing actress of all time and was upset that no other women managed a place in the top 10.
She said: “It’s exciting to be the only woman in this category [but] it’s kind of disappointing actually to be the only woman in this category. That was a little bit of a surprise to me.”
And the blonde beauty previously fumed about the gender pay gap in Hollywood but admits she is “fortunate” to make such a good living from acting
She explained: “There’s something icky about me having that conversation unless it applies to a greater whole. I am very fortunate, I make a really good living and I’m proud to be an actress who’s making as much as many of my male peers at this stage. I think every woman has [been underpaid]. But unless I’m addressing it as a larger problem, for me to talk about my own personal experience with it feels a little obnoxious. It’s part of a larger conversation about feminism in general.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bella Hadid wants to act.
The 20-year-old model says one of her goals is to appear in movies but insists she won’t be sharing any more of her hopes and dreams as she is “superstitious”.
She said: “I think it would be really fun, because it’s exciting to be in front of the camera on film instead of just pictures.
“I have so many goals [but] most of the time I like to keep them to myself, because I’m really superstitious.”
And the brunette beauty – who went blonde for a cover shoot for the new issue of Paper magazine – was thrilled when she was asked to walk the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last week as she had been rejected the year before.
In an interview with the publication, she added: “I was really surprised, but definitely excited. I tried last year [to be cast in] the show [but] I think everything happens for a reason.”
And Bella loved having her sister Gigi, 21, alongside her when she appeared at the annual lingerie show and likened her sibling to a “comfort blanket”.
She explained: “It’s amazing; she’s really my comfort zone and my comfort blanket, so to be able turn around and to be able to talk to her, it really grounds me and makes me a little less nervous to have my best friend with me.
“She’ll always give me her honest opinion about everything – she watched my rehearsal yesterday. She’s always right there with me, so it calms me a little bit … I’m just trying to get out there and be confident and work it as hard as I possibly can. I’ll try to channel Beyoncé. I don’t know, I’ll just try to be myself and go out there and try and kill it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Cannon is a “student of love”.
The 36-year-old television personality and producer feels like he is “constantly learning” about love and enjoyed talking to couples about their ideas about romance for his new documentary ‘Why Real is Rare’.
He told The Huffington Post: “When I say ‘I’m a student of love’ that means that I’m constantly learning and I feel like I don’t know anything when it comes to it, really. I have my opinions and my theories.
“But that’s what was really unique about this process, is hearing everyone having a different story, different journey. And it just shows you, there’s no right or wrong way to love someone. And as much as we try to say, ‘Oh, this is what you have to do,’ or ‘you have to get married,’ or ‘you have to date for this amount of time,’ it’s like nah, love is a vibration. And when you feel it, you go with it.”
Meanwhile, Nick – who has five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with Mariah Carey – previously insisted he will “always be family” with his ex-wife despite their split.
He shared previously: “It’s all about unconditional love. And knowing because they were so young, this is what they know: They know Mommy and Daddy still love each other, but more importantly they love us. It’s family. We’ll always be family …

OHMYGOSSIP — Cruz Beckham is set to unveil his debut single on Wednesday (07.12.16).
The 11-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham will unveil his first track, ‘If Every Day Was Christmas’, on Capital FM, with the proceeds from its sale going to Global’s Make Some Noise charity.
A tweet from his official account reads: “My first single #IfEveryDayWasChristmas is out tomorrow! Hear it on @CapitalOfficial at 7.30am … #CruzOnCapital (sic)”
The news comes after Cruz set up an Instagram account and teased he had “something exciting to share” with his followers.
In a post on the photo sharing site, he wrote: “Welcome to my new page. Something exciting to share with you all this week!”
Despite only setting the page up a day ago, Cruz has already made a series of posts including some backstage snaps from this weekend’s Capital Jingle Bell Ball and a video of him in a studio in Los Angeles.
He shared: “@capitalofficial #jinglebellball with @calvinharris @brooklynbeckham #RomeoBeckham … In the studio in LA #hometomama (sic)”
Meanwhile, Cruz’s cover of ‘Home To Mama’ has received glittering praise from Justin Bieber after Victoria Beckham posted a recording of him singing the track on her Twitter account last month.
Retweeting Victoria’s original post, he wrote: “Young Cruz! Great job buddy #hometomama (sic)”
The cover was also posted on Soundcloud, where it has been listened to 380,000 times and has over 5,000 likes.
And Victoria – who also has Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, and five-year-old Harper with her husband David – previously admitted she only realised Cruz had such a talent for singing a few months ago when she heard him singing in the back of the car.
She said: “He’s always the one that plays football, and he was just singing in the back of the car one day. And he was singing, and I was like, ‘Wow, you can really sing.’ And then he picked up his cups and off he went.”

OHMYGOSSIP — John Legend and Ryan Gosling bonded over fatherhood.
The ‘All of Me’ hitmaker met the 36-year-old actor on the set of ‘La La Land’ and enjoyed their discussions about what it is like becoming a father for the first time.
He said: “Amada [Gosling’s daughter] and Luna [Legend’s daughter] were both born in April. We talked about it.
“We had just announced that we were pregnant right around when we were filming the movie, so … he definitely kind of shared how joyous it is to be a new father and gave me something to look forward to.”
And the 37-year-old singer admits he is a huge fan of the ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’ star and relished in the chance of working alongside him.
He added to Entertainment Tonight: “That made me feel a little bit more comfortable, that he was learning something new too and had that sense of … the struggle of a new thing. I was really impressed with him playing the piano, and I thought he was doing a really good job.
“I’ve been a fan of his work as a film actor for such a long time, so I was excited to work with him. I was just hoping that he didn’t think I brought him down too much, knowing that he’s been doing this for a long time and I haven’t.”
Meanwhile, John previously admitted fatherhood has inspired him to write “better” music.
He said: “I think [what’s different about it is] just growing up. Having been married for a few years, and having a baby, and all those other things, I think it just informs your perspective a bit and it makes you look at the world a little bit differently. OHMYGOSSIP — Diego Luna nearly missed a casting call for ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’.
The 36-year-old actor has confessed he contemplated screening a call from the movie’s director Gareth Edwards to offer him the role of Captain Cassian Andor as he thought it would just be a “drunken cousin” calling him.
He said: “I saw this British number calling me at 2 a.m., and I have family in England, so I thought it was, like, a drunken cousin from a bar or something.
“I ran over and saw that it was [director] Gareth Edwards wanting to give me some news! I just jumped around like crazy – it was quite a special day. [Edwards] said, ‘Okay, welcome to Star Wars.'”
However, his excitement was short lived as he was forced to keep it a secret for a long time including from his children – Fiona, six, and Jerónimo, eight.
He quipped to People magazine: “I didn’t trust my children to keep the secret because, well, they’re kids! I told them we were spending the summer in England, but I couldn’t tell them why for quite a long time.”
Meanwhile, Diego previously compared starring in the science fiction franchise to being in love.
Asked if he ever thought he would star in such a big movie, he said: “No, never. The best things that have come to me in life have been a surprise. I think it’s because I have kept working, even in something else, and not because of waiting for it. I just think that when you focus your energy in the right direction things start to work out and life surprises you in a positive way. Maybe I’m being too romantic, but it’s impossible to travel somewhere looking to fall in love with someone. Instead, when you stop looking for it, it comes to you and soon you are in love. If I didn’t have a movie right now I would be very happy doing theatre.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi and Bella Hadid have been immortalised in doll form.
The model sisters have been gifted their very own Barbie-style dolls, dressed in replicas of the lingerie they wore on the runway at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last week.
Bella excitedly shared a picture of the two dolls on her Instagram account, although it is not thought that the toys will be put into mass production just yet.
Meanwhile, the siblings previously revealed how glad they were to have each other before they hit the catwalk at the annual show.
Bella gushed: “It’s amazing; she’s really my comfort zone and my comfort blanket, so to be able turn around and to be able to talk to her, it really grounds me and makes me a little less nervous to have my best friend with me.

OHMYGOSSIP — Carey Hart wants a son.
The 41-year-old retired motorcycle racer – who is expecting a child with his wife Pink – would love to have a little boy to add to their family.
He said: “We got one princess, so hopefully we’ll have a little guy coming. I don’t want any competition for my daughter. I’m nervous for what it’s going to be …
“It’s been a while since we’ve had a baby around the house. It’s going to be really fun.”
And Carey has revealed that the couple’s five-year-old daughter Willow Sage is “over the moon” about having a younger sibling.
He told People magazine: “Willow is over the moon. She’s been talking about how she wants a baby sister. She built a bicycle for him or her. So we’re going to finish it up after No. 2 shows up. She tore the bike all apart and after No. 2 shows up, she’s going to decide the colours that she wants to do for it. I told her, ‘Look, he or she is not going to be able to use it for a while – but they’ll be ready for it’ … Right now, she’s very excited, until they start taking her toys and breaking her stuff, and then we’ll see how it goes.”
Pink surprised her fans by announcing the pregnancy in early November when she shared a picture of herself with a blossoming baby bump.

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner spent Thanksgiving together.
The rumoured couple have reportedly been attached at the hip for the last couple of months and are said to have made their relationship official after spending the annual holiday with each other.
A source told Entertainment Tonight: “Sophie and Joe met through mutual friends. They have been dating for a couple of months. They spent Thanksgiving together in Mammoth Lake. They are really into each other and having a great time.”
The pair were first romantically linked in early November, when they were spotted cosying up to one another at the MTV European Music Awards in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
And it won’t be too much of a surprise that Joe’s first encounter with Sophie was laid back as he previously revealed he likes dates to be low-key.
He explained: “I’d like it to be really low key. I think there’s this thing that happens where, with a first date, there’s just this immense amount of pressure on both sides that it just has to be kind of magical. But the whole purpose is to get to know somebody, get a vibe going and then, from there, you kind of decide, ‘Alright, do we want to do this again?’ It’s like the first course. A nice low-key dinner, maybe a drink afterwards, and then that’s perfect.”
And Joe made the bold move of inviting Sophie to his friend’s wedding in Malibu where they were joined by Joe’s brother Nick.

OHMYGOSSIP — Cruz Beckham has joined Instagram.
The 11-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham has become the latest member of his family to join the photo-sharing website, which already features accounts for the Beckham parents and Cruz’s 14-year-old brother Romeo and 17-year-old brother Brooklyn, who has 8.8 million followers.
Cruz – who was born in Madrid, Spain – has already posted five times in less than 24 hours, including one of him and his brothers posing with music star Calvin Harris at the recent Capital Jingle Bell Ball in London.
On the second post, Cruz sings the chorus of the 2005 hit ‘Hopeful’ by US rapper Twista, which features vocals from Faith Evans.
The video first appeared on Victoria’s Instagram earlier this year and comes amid rumours Cruz is poised to launch a pop star after he signed with Scooter Braun, who also manages Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.
On another of his posts, Cruz confirms he has something “exciting to share” with his fans next week, thereby heightening speculation about a potential career as a pop star.
However, Cruz’s appearance on the photo-sharing website could spark controversy, because Instagram requires users to be at least 13 years old before they can create an account.
The guidelines on Instagram explain: “If your child is younger than 13 and created an account on Instagram, you can show them how to delete their account.”
Earlier this year, TV personality Katie Price hit out at Instagram’s decision to delete the pages of two of her children, both of whom were too young to manage their own accounts.
Junior, 11, and Princess, nine, had their accounts deactivated amid complaints from eagle-eyed fans of the Brit, who subsequently insisted she was responsible for running their Instagram pages.
She said: “They’ve been taken down again because people keep complaining. I’m running the accounts, all of Junior’s friends have Instagram.
“He’s sad because he feels left out because pathetic people keep reporting his profile. Why do they care? What’s he doing that’s so offensive to them?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Charli XCX thinks the music industry is weighted “against women”.
The 24-year-old star has bemoaned the lack of female representation in the industry and thinks there is a double standard applied to female songwriters.
She shared: “I think they are a lot more things against women, in a lot of industries, not just the music industry. There are a lot fewer female producers, even if there are female producers, like, not many people give them credit for that.
“You know people always question if I’m actually a songwriter and whether a lot of female artists write their own songs.”
The ‘Vroom Vroom’ hitmaker heaped praise on Beyonce after the US star performed in front of giant sign saying “FEMINIST” during her Mrs Carter world tour.
Charli said Beyonce’s strong message was especially pleasing as she cannot remember anything similar from her own childhood, thereby showing that progress is being made.
She told The Box Plus Network: “It’s great for Beyonce to stand in front of a huge sign that says feminism, like that’s only a good thing, because when I was like 12 or 13 that image wasn’t there for me in pop culture, you know, not that I was aware of.
“But when Beyonce is standing in front of a sign a 12 year old girl, or guy, is going be like ‘Oh, cool that’s what it is and Beyonce is talking about it, it’s cool, I want to be into feminism’ – so that’s a great thing.”
Beyonce, 35, has explained that her performance was designed to help bring some clarity to the concept of feminism.
The ‘Formation’ hitmaker said previously: “I’m not really sure people know or understand what a feminist is, but it’s very simple. It’s someone who believes in equal rights for men and women.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jonas Blue got stuck in a forest during a festive romp.
The 27-year-old dance music producer – real name Guy Robin – decided to park up in a forest during icy conditions to have sex but when the deed was done he couldn’t get going as his car’s engine had seized up.
He said: “I had sex in the back of a Ford Ka on a very icy December night a few years ago.
“Obviously you shouldn’t leave a car in ice because it won’t be able to move and that’s exactly what happened.
“I was stuck in a forest in the ice in the back of my Ka. It was horrific. I absolutely s**t myself.”
The ‘By Your Side’ hitmaker has also opened up on his OCD habits and admits his studio and suitcases have to be arranged in a specific way otherwise he gets flustered.
He told the Metro newspaper: “Everything in my studio has to be straight – even little things on the side. The worst thing at the moment , though, is my suitcase when I’m touring. All my shirts, trousers and toiletries have to be packed in a certain way so I feel comfortable and can carry on with my day. To make sure I’ve locked my case, I have to take pictures … sad isn’t it?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Adriana Lima hopes her daughters will one day follow in her footsteps and walk in the Victoria’s Secret Show.
The 35-year-old Brazilian model has been a VS Angel since 2000 and as well as opening the world famous lingerie catwalk show on several occasions she has also been selected to wear the Fantasy Bra – the biggest moment of the event – on three occasions in 2008, 2010 and in 2014 when she and Alessandra Ambrosio both donned bras costing $2,000,000 when the Angels descended on London in the UK.
Adriana has two girls, Valentina, seven, and Sienna, four, and with her ex-husband, Serbian NBA player Marko Jarić, and if they decide to become models like their mother then she would be very proud to see them become Angels and take part in the fashion line’s annual flesh-filled extravaganza.
Speaking to HollywoodLife.com, she said: “I do imagine that one day, maybe, if they wanted to be a model, one year I’ll be on the other side, sitting and cheering for them.”
Adriana famously stripped off to walk in the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Show less than two months after giving birth to Sienna wowing the audience with her strutting display.
This year’s event took place in Paris, France, last week and the Angels didn’t disappoint as Adriana and Alessandra were joined by Taylor Hill, Josephine Skriver and Elsa Hosk among others and celebrity models Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and her sister Bella Hadid and Irina Shayk – who revealed a baby bump – on the catwalk..

OHMYGOSSIP — Beyonce leads the nominations for the 2017 Grammy Awards with nine nods.
The 35-year-old R&B superstar is up for Album of the Year, Best Contemporary Album and Best Music Film for ‘Lemonade’.
She is also listed for Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Music Video for ‘Formation’, Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Hold Up’ and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for ‘Freedom’ featuring Kendrick Lamar and Best Rock Performance for ‘Don’t Hurt Yourself’ featuring Jack White.
Neil Portnow, President and CEO of the Recording Academy, commented: “I usually don’t shout out artists, but if you look at Beyonce, you see a rock performance, a rap-sung performance, a music film, a video, urban contemporary, song of the year.
“That’s a very, very broad musical palate to paint on that she’s chosen. We applaud artists who have the guts to do that.”
Beyonce will battle it out with Adele for Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year for ’25’ and ‘Hello’ respectively.
And Justin Bieber’s ‘Purpose’, Drake’s ‘Views’ and Sturgill Simpson’s ‘A Sailor’s Guide To Earth are all up for the prestigious Album of the Year prize.
