OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Schumer has thanked trolls who attacked her casting in a new ‘Barbie’ movie for proving she is a “great” choice.
The 35-year-old actress is to play a character who is expelled from Barbieland for failing to live up to the perfection expected of its residents and will set off on a journey of self-discovery in the upcoming live-action film, which based on the popular Mattel doll franchise.
The plot has been described as a “contemporary spin on beauty, feminism and identity”, but despite this message Amy received an avalanche of criticism on Twitter from users who were angry the curvaceous actress was cast in the movie.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday night (06.12.16), Amy wrote a lengthy post detailing how the criticism only helped to prove she is a “great choice” for the role.
She wrote alongside a photo of herself in a bathing suit: “Thanks to everyone for the kind words and support and again my deepest sympathy goes out to the trolls who are in more pain than we will ever understand. I want to thank them for making it so evident that I am a great choice.
“It’s that kind of response that let’s you know something’s wrong with our culture and we all need to work together to change it. Anyone who has ever been bullied or felt bad about yourself I am out there fighting for you, for us. And I want you to fight for yourself too!
“We need to laugh at the haters and sympathise with them. They can scream as loud as they want. We can’t hear them because we are getting s**t done. I am proud to lead by example. I say if I’m beautiful, I say if I’m strong. You will not determine my story. I will #thegirlwiththelowerbacktattoo (sic)”
And Amy also pointed out that she can’t be “fat shamed” by people if she knows she’s “not fat”, and isn’t concerned by people’s comments about her body.
She posted: “Is it fat shaming if you know you’re not fat and have zero shame in your game? I don’t think so.
“I am strong and proud of how I live my life and say what I mean and fight for what I believe in and I have a blast doing it with the people I love.
“Where’s the shame? It’s not there. It’s an illusion.
“When I look in the mirror I know who I am. Im a great friend, sister, daughter and girlfriend.
“I’m a badass comic headlining arenas all over the world and making tv and movies and writing books where I lay it all out there and I’m fearless like you can be. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pratt once lost out on a date with a girl because he couldn’t pull off Michael Jackson’s ‘Man In The Mirror’ at a karaoke bar.
The 37-year-old actor – who has a four-year-old son Jack with wife Anna Faris – had previously been impressed with his own rendition of the late King of Pop’s classic track, so decided to sing it again in a bar after meeting a girl he wanted to impress.
Speaking on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, the ‘Jurassic World’ star said: “I had killed it one week, I felt really good. I was like, ‘That’s my song! I can sing ‘Man In The Mirror’!’
“It’s very difficult. High degree of difficulty but when you nail it, you nail it.
“I was riding high on the wave of nailing ‘Man In The Mirror’ the week before, but I went to a new karaoke bar and met a girl, her name was Marina.
“I was flirting with her, and I had ‘Man In The Mirror’ in my pocket and I knew I was gonna kill it.
“I got up on stage and I said ‘This song’s for Marina’.
“Now, I didn’t realise there’s different notes and different keys and stuff, and it just wasn’t my key, it wasn’t my night.”
But the ‘Parks and Recreation’ actor soldiered on through with the song until someone from the crowed yelled “You suck” and his evening rapidly went downhill.
He continued: “I really started sweating.
“Some guy yelled ‘You suck’, and I look and he’s standing right next to Marina!
“And she left with the ‘You suck’ guy!”
But the disastrous experience hasn’t put Christ off karaoke for good.
He said: “I am a karaoke guy. I’ve sung karaoke for a long time, my whole family always sings karaoke at parties.”

OHMYGOSSIP — David and Victoria Beckham are “so proud” of their son Cruz Beckham who unveiled his debut single on Wednesday (07.12.16).
The couple both took to their Instagram accounts to praise their 11-year-old boy who dropped his track ‘If Every Day Was Christmas’ on Capital FM on the Breakfast Show hosted by Dave Berry, George and Lilah.
Retired soccer superstar David, 41, posted an adorable video of Cruz dressed in his school uniform at the family breakfast table embarrassingly listening to his song being played on the radio and admitted it was not a regular day in the Beckham house as his son made his first steps as a pop singer.
His post read: “Not his average morning before school … Proud of my little man with his new Christmas single and also helping children around the UK with the proceeds from this… #ifeverydaywaschristmas @cruzbeckham @AppleMusic @globals_make_some_noise (sic)”
Victoria – who found worldwide fame as a member of the Spice Girls – also took to Instagram to lavish praise on young Cruz, whose career is being masterminded by Scooter Braun who was responsible for giving the world Justin Bieber.
And it seems as though the 42-year-old fashion designer called in a favour from Rodney Jerkins as she revealed the American music producer – who previously recorded with The Spice Girls – was responsible for creating the track with Cruz.
Victoria – who also has three other children, Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, and five-year-old Harper with her husband David -posted: “Love a choir at Christmas!! x Super proud of @cruzbeckham Thank u @rodneyjerkins X VB #IfEveryDayWasChristmas link to @applemusic in my bio @globals_make_some_noise (sic)”
The extremely catchy Christmas track features Cruz singing the line: “If everyday was Christmas and I can’t be with you, underneath the mistletoe, kiss you when nobody knows.”
The track is available to stream and download now and all proceeds are going to Global’s Make Some Noise charity which aims to help disadvantaged youngsters across the UK.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Gosling’s Elvis Presley-impersonating uncle was an “inspiration” to him.
The 36-year-old actor has admitted his uncle used to work as an impersonator for the King of Rock and Roll, and said he even used to help out as part of his act when he was just eight years old.
The Hollywood hunk shared: “My uncle was an Elvis impersonator and I was in his act when I was eight. He was wonderful and an inspiration to me, so that was fun.”
And despite his long-running background in all areas of performing – including dancing as part of the cast on ‘All-New Mickey Mouse Club’ in the 1990s – Ryan admits starring in the musical dramedy ‘La La Land’, alongside Emma Stone, was “different”.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “’90s hip hop is a little different from soft shoe and all the other stuff that they asked us to do here.
“I thought maybe some of that might help, but it really didn’t. It was like starting all over again.”
The star previously claimed he had been “pushed to [his] limits” on the film set, as there were a number of performance aspects he wasn’t used to.
He said: “Trying to fit the keytar into my schedule of things I had to learn was pretty funny.
“But we were all being pushed to our limits to see what we were capable of.
“We worked for three months on, for instance, one number that happens at sunset where it starts as a scene, then it becomes a song, and then it’s a dance and then it’s a scene again and it all happens in one take.”
Meanwhile, it isn’t just Ryan’s uncle who the star cites as an inspiration, as he previously praised his long term partner Eva Mendes and their two children Esmerelda, two, and Amada, seven months, for making him “better”.
He said: “All of them are doing amazing. I’m a lucky man – they really make me better.
“They’re angels. It’s the happiest time in my life.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Alec Baldwin thinks he’ll have mastered the Spanish language by the age of “90”.
The 58-year-old actor has been learning the language since he met his wife Hilaria – who was born in the Spanish-speaking island of Majorca – and has admitted he will only “nail it” when he’s old and grey.
He said: “My Spanish can only get better. It can only improve… maybe by the time I’m 90, I will nail it.
“I love Madrid. I think it’s one of my favourite cities in the world.”
But the ’30 Rock’ actor will have to brush up on his skills earlier than expected, as his wife revealed they have decided to teach their daughter Carmen, three, to speak Spanish as her first language.
Hilaria, 32, said: “Carmen’s first language is Spanish. I only speak Spanish with her…and with Alec she is smart enough to know that she needs to switch to English.
“Alec’s Spanish is getting better and better. His accent is very good.”
Meanwhile, Hilaria – who also shares 17-month-old Rafael and two-month-old Leonardo with the ‘Beetlejuice’ actor – is gearing up to release her book ‘The Living Clearly Method: 5 Principles for a Fit Body, Healthy Mind & Joyful Life’.
Hilaria hopes her book will “help even more people” to achieve their fitness goals.
She told Hola! Magazine: “It has been a very natural process…I’ve been teaching for 12 years now … you don’t become a yoga teach for the teachings, you do it because you love it.
“Teaching is very fulfilling because every day I go home feeling like I helped people. Putting ideas into a book means I can help even more people by getting the book into everyone’s hands.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Holmes has hailed her daughter Suri as an “incredible little girl” after she supported the actress through her directorial debut.
The 37-year-old star helmed the new drama movie ‘All We Had’, and Katie has revealed that her 10-year-old daughter – who she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise – was a constant presence on the set of the film.
Katie said: “My daughter is an incredible little girl. She was with me every step of the way. She means everything to me. Like every mom, you just want to make sure your child knows how special they are.”
Katie – who stars as Rita Carmichael, a single mother, in the movie – said she was excited by the prospect of combining acting and directing.
She told ‘Good Morning America’: “It was very exciting, powerful and challenging … I started prepping about a year before we started shooting. Just compiling a lot of inspiration photos, watching a lot of movies.”
Katie explained that the central theme of ‘All We Had’, single motherhood, was something she was keen to explore in her directorial debut.
The actress also said her movie has a “unique” feel because the lines between Katie’s character and her on-screen daughter are blurred.
Katie said: “I felt like that was such a universal theme for all mothers, and yet these two characters are unique in that they’re survivors on the road. Sometimes Ruthie’s the mom and Rita’s the daughter, and they’re like sisters sometimes. There was this Thelma and Louise quality to them.”
Meanwhile, Katie has also revealed she made a conscious effort to ensure there was a positive atmosphere on the set of her movie.
She told ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’: “We had a great time, because I’ve been in this business luckily for 20 years now, and I love being on a happy set, and I love it when people actually value me … so I wanted to provide that for my actors.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Reese Witherspoon dreamed of being “the first female president” when she was a child.
The 40-year-old beauty has admitted that when she was just six years old, a career in acting was the furthest thing from her mind as she actually wanted to pursue a job in politics and become the first female to ever take up office in the White House.
Speaking to E! News, the blonde beauty said: “When I was six, I either wanted to be Dolly Parton or the first female president of the United States.”
Whilst the ‘Legally Blonde’ actress might not have been able to live out either of her childhood career dreams, her daughter Ava, 17, might be able to pick up the pieces and become the next Dolly Parton, as Reese recently praised her musical skills.
Reese – who also has 13-year-old Deacon with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe and four-year-old Tennessee with current husband Jim Toth – said: “[Ava] plays a lot of different instruments and has been to lots of different music training camps. She can write a song; she can play any song on the guitar or piano or ukulele.”
Meanwhile, Reese’s ‘Sing’ co-star Matthew McConaughey also dished on his own childhood ambitions, claiming he had wanted to be a sportsperson before he turned to acting.
He said: “At six, I wanted to be a Washington Redskins running back.
“I had no idea. I never even thought about [acting]. I didn’t realise this until I was 21 years old. I was a late bloomer.”
The 47-year-old actor can also boast a musically talented child among his brood, as he says his youngest son Livingston, three, “has the ear” for music.
Matthew – who also has Levi, eight, and Vida, six, with wife Camila Alves – said: “[Livingston] has the ear.
“He sat down at the piano and from day one could go tell a minor note from a major. Any music you play, any chords you get going, he can find a melody that falls right in track with it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — John Legend got the cast of ‘Sesame Street’ to give his baby daughter Luna a cute shout out while making a guest appearance on the programme.
The ‘Ordinary People’ hitmaker is to appear in a forthcoming episode of the children’s TV show and got the Muppets, including Big Bird and Elmo, to send a message to his and his wife Chrissy Teigen’s seven-month-old baby girl.
In a clip posted on John’s Instagram account, the Muppets say: “Hello Luna. We love you so much. You are so cute. Kiss, kiss.”
The 37-year-old singer hopes that when his little girl is grown up she will appreciate the message from the popular kid’s characters.
He captioned the video: “One day Luna will be very excited by who daddy hung out with today. (sic)”
John’s 31-year-old model spouse was almost reduced to tears watching her husband recording the sweet message for Luna and she can’t wait for her to see it.
Taking to Twitter, Chrissy wrote: “My heart!! I could cry. I cannot wait for the day Luna goes absolutely nuts over this. (sic)”
And the Muppets are not the only ones John is gushing about Luna to, as he recently revealed he bonded with his ‘La La Land’ co-star Ryan Gosling – who has daughter Esmeralda, two, and Amada, seven months, with partner Eva Mendes – over fatherhood on the set of the eagerly-anticipated movie.
He said: “Amada and Luna were both born in April. We talked about it.
“We had just announced that we were pregnant right around when we were filming the movie, so … he definitely kind of shared how joyous it is to be a new father and gave me something to look forward to.”
Meanwhile, John is looking forward to Luna’s first Christmas.
He said: “Christmas with Luna is going to be really exciting. It’s the first time at our new house, we’ve never had our own Christmas at home. We usually travel somewhere, go to a family member’s house and we go on vacation. This is our first time actually having a tree at home, in our new place. And we have a new baby. OHMYGOSSIP — Sofia Vergara is being sued – by her own embryos.
The ‘Modern Family’ actress has been locked in a legal battle with former fiance Nick Loeb after he filed a suit last year to protect, and bring to term, two female embryos, which they had created and planned to use with a surrogate during their relationship, a request she is against.
And now the case has taken another turn after a right-to-live lawsuit was filed on behalf of ‘Emma’ and ‘Isabella’, the fertilised eggs – which were created in 2013 – against the actress, the New York Post newspaper reports.
The new lawsuit – which has been filed in Louisiana, a traditionally pro-life state that offers special legal protections for frozen embryos — also has James Carbonnet, the eggs’ ‘trustee’, listed as a plaintiff.
Documents state that Emma and Isabella have been deprived of an inheritance from a trust that has been created for them in Louisiana because they have not been born.
The suit asks the frozen embryos be given to Nick to be implanted in a surrogate so they can live and receive the trust, which would fund their healthcare and education. It also requests Sofia’s parental rights be terminated and that the ‘Hot Pursuit’ star pay her former partner’s legal fees.
Sofia – who is now married to Joe Manganiello and has 24-year-old son Manolo from a past relationship – and Nick had signed a contract at the ART Reproductive Center in Beverly Hills when they created the embryos in 2013, which stated neither could use the embryos without the consent of the other.
However, the new lawsuit argues the agreement should be deemed void as it didn’t say what should happen if they split, and it violated California code and Louisiana law.
Nick had previously filed to protect the embryos in California, but reportedly dropped that case earlier this week after a judge ruled in favour of the 44-year-old actress’ legal team, who had applied to force the businessman to identify two former lovers who had had abortions during his relationships with them.
He had appealed the decision but was turned down.
Though Nick, 41, spends most of his time between New York and Florida, he still serves as a reserve police officer in Louisiana, and is a graduate of Tulane University in the state.

OHMYGOSSIP — Shannen Doherty’s husband is suing her former manager for destroying their sex life.
The 45-year-old actress – who was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2015 – settled her lawsuit against Steven Blatt in the summer after accusing him of mismanaging her insurance premiums and allowing her health insurance to lapse, meaning she couldn’t see a doctor, leading to a delay in her breast cancer diagnosis.
But now her spouse Kurt Iswarienko – who she married in 2011 – has taken legal moves against Mr. Blatt and his firm and accused them of dampening their bedroom antics and damaging his finances by their actions.
Kurt has reiterated everything Shannen said in her lawsuit but, according to documents obtained by TMZ, has also accused Tanner Mainstain Glynn & Johnson of mismanaging his funds and allowing him to get mixed up in bad loans that tarnished his credit score.
Shannen’s diagnosis was made public in August 2015 when she filed her estimated $15 million lawsuit against her former management and accounting firm.
In court documents, the actress accused the company of ignoring an invoice to pay her insurance premium in early 2014.
The ‘Charmed’ star re-enrolled in the programme shortly before doctors discovered she has “invasive breast cancer metastatic to at least one lymph node”.
Her medical team believe the cancer spread last year and would have been easier to treat if it had been detected earlier, but she failed to get a check-up at the time due to her lack of insurance.
Confirming the news at the time, Shannen vowed to remain positive.
She said: “I have breast cancer, and I am currently undergoing treatment. I am continuing to eat right, exercise and stay very positive about my life. I am thankful to my family, friends and doctors for their support and my fans who have stood by me.”
Shannen started her chemotherapy in July and is almost finished but now has gruelling radiotherapy to go through before doctors can re-evaluate her cancer.

OHMYGOSSIP — Rob Kardashian says his newborn baby is the “best thing” that has ever happened to him.
The 29-year-old star and fiancé Blac Chyna welcomed Dream Kardashian into the world three weeks ago and he has shared a new picture of the youngster, who already has a full head of hair, peacefully sleeping.
He added the caption on his Instagram account: “Sleep baby,,,, best thing that has ever happened to me in my life (sic)”
Rob took to the photo-sharing site shortly after Dream was born to share a snap of the little one and thank Chyna for being “strong” during her pregnancy.
He wrote: “Today was amazing 🙂 I am so lucky!! Thank you @blacchyna for having our baby and being so strong ! I love you so much and can’t wait to see her get older day by day with you Chy! I love you and Dream so much and Appreciate both of you (sic)”
In true Kardashian style, Rob has already set up an Instagram account for his daughter, who has amassed an incredible 754,000 followers in just three weeks but is only following two people, Rob and Chyna.
Rob’s sister Khloe Kardashian recently revealed Dream doesn’t cry “at all”.
She said: “I go in to see Rob and Chyna. The baby was just born.
“She’s super cute and calm and not crying at all!”
Rob and Chyna – who already has four-year-old son King Cairo with her former partner Tyga – are said to be planning to have their wedding filmed for a TV show for the right price.
The couple are thought to be on the lookout for venues which will be suitable for filming in the hope they will be able to strike a deal with a channel to air their big day.

OHMYGOSSIP — Angelina Jolie is house hunting in Los Angeles.
The 41-year-old star is keen to purchase a new home in the City of Angels to ensure her and estranged husband Brad Pitt’s six kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, will not be too far away from their dad.
An insider told Us Weekly magazine: “She’s currently looking into buying a new house in L.A. so the kids can remain close to their father.”
This comes after Angelina and Brad reached a temporary custody agreement, with the ‘Tomb Raider’ star granted sole legal guardianship of her kids.
Brad, 52, is expected to continue to have “therapeutic visitations” with the children, as previously agreed on October 2, but it’ll be down to the family’s therapist – who “shall at all times consider the best interests of the minors” – to decide whether the kids want to see him.
The ‘Allied’ star will also be subjected to random drug and alcohol testing, which he previously volunteered to do, and attend weekly individual and group therapy sessions.
A source said: “Originally, Pitt had volunteered to do the drug and alcohol testing himself. But now that a judge has signed off on these docs, it has become mandatory and cannot be reversed without another court filing.”
It’s not yet known whether Brad will spend the forthcoming festive period with his kids.
The insider added: “If a child says they don’t want to see Brad on Christmas, the psychiatrist isn’t going to force them. That’s the whole purpose of this agreement.”
Brad was accused of lashing out at his eldest son Maddox while on a private plane with his family in September, but he has since been cleared of child abuse allegations.
After the alleged incident on-board the jet, Angelina filed for divorce from Brad, whom she has been with since 2005, following just two years of marriage.

OHMYGOSSIP — Paula Patton has returned to Twitter after a two-and-a-half-year break.
The 41-year-old actress has tweeted for the first time since April 2014, taking to her social media account to apologise to her fans for her absence and to say “thank you” to the 182,000 people that still follow her despite her silence.
She posted on her account on Wednesday (07.12.16): “Please forgive my long absence! Feeling so grateful for every second of this life. If any of you are still out there, thank you & I’m sorry! (sic)”
Paula stopped tweeting after she and Robin Thicke announced they were divorcing in February 2014, but returned to the account a few months later to post a birthday message to their son Julian, seven, before leaving again.
The last post from the ‘Warcraft’ actress before her comeback was a picture taken at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles – home of the baseball team the Los Angeles Dodgers – where she took their son Julian, now six, for his birthday on April 7 2014.
The star has been using her time away from social media to try to find happiness in her life since her split from Robin, with whom she parted with last year after 10 years of marriage.
She said previously: “I want more joy. I want more happiness. I have a beautiful son [Julian Thicke, six]. I’ve been lucky to do what I’ve done and to focus on anything else is such a waste.
“It’s a discipline because, trust me, we all go there. What I’m striving for is to have more joy, play, have fun with this life. Growing older is a good thing in that way, right? Keep on trucking. You have to find the place where it gets comfortable and easier.”

The 32-year-old TV personality is currently enjoying a romance with basketball player Tristan Thompson, 25, but admitted when she doesn’t have a partner she likes nothing more than discovering her own “individual identity” and doing whatever she wants.
Writing on her website khloewithak.com, Khloe said: “Being single can be great. It can be a time to rediscover yourself, dedicate precious time to being selfish and enjoying your freedom!
“It’s good to be single so that you can find your individual identity again. When you’re with somebody for so long, there’s a transition from being part of a couple to being single, but you need to gather yourself back together again without depending on anyone else. You are truly who you are when you are alone!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Niall Horan is going to do a “disappearing act”.
The former One Direction star has revealed his plans to take a few months out of the spotlight over the Christmas period to be with his family and friends.
He shared: “I’m gonna head home and chill out as it has been hectic the last few months. Looking forward to getting home home at Christmas. I haven’t been home since last Christmas so I miss everyone and hopefully this year I’ll get to spend some quality time with family and friends.
“I really do wish I could spend more time at home but with Ireland as small as it is, I sometimes struggle to relax so fingers crossed because I miss that place a lot. After Christmas, I’m gonna fall off the face of the earth and do one of my disappearing acts. I want to come up with more song ideas and get back in the writing zone. OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West is “very focused” on supporting Kanye West.
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star and her husband have had a “stressful few months” after Kim was robbed at gunpoint and Kanye was hospitalised for exhaustion and sleep deprivation but the couple are fully committed to helping each other get through it.
A source said: “Kanye and Kim had a stressful few months. It’s been a tense time. But Kim is happy he’s getting help. She’s very focused on being supportive and managing the crisis that is going on.
“She is super focused on him and is being the dutiful, responsible, loving spouse that one would expect. He has a huge support group. They are incredibly loyal to him and have been around him since day one. He has their support. It’s not isolated to just him and Kim.”
And Kanye is so glad to have his children – North, three, and Saint, 12 months – with him along the way.
An insider added to People magazine: “Being a father completely changed Kanye’s life and who he was. He’s an incredibly proud, doting, involved and loving father. He loves playing with his kids, he loves talking to his kids, he loves teaching his kids. He and North have an amazing relationship. She’s very attached to him …
“If you really listen to what he says in interviews and from the stage, obviously he’s got a lot to say and there’s a lot to wade through, but a lot of the stuff he talks about is the future – for his kids. He wants to make a contribution through art to make the world a better place. He talks about education and how one day he wants the Yeezy brand to provide school uniforms. He’s very focused on the future, in terms of economic and racial equality.”
