Prince and George Michael to be honoured at Grammys

OHMYGOSSIP — The Grammy Awards will pay tribute to both Prince and George Michael.
Recording Academy bosses have confirmed plans for special memorial segments for each of the two late “creative innovators” – who both passed away last year – at the ceremony on Sunday (12.02.17), though they did not give any details as to which artists will be involved.
Academy CEO Neil Portnow said in a statement: “George Michael and Prince were pop icons who showcased rare musical genius and otherworldly charisma.
“While each possessed a distinct style and sound, they were both adored by audiences worldwide. The passings of two such creative innovators were a huge loss for the creative community; The Recording Academy is humbled to pay homage to their tremendous legacies on the Grammy stage.”
Prince – who died of an accidental prescription drug overdose last April – won seven Grammys in his career, while George, who was found dead from heart failure on Christmas Day (25.12.16), picked up two.
Grammy’s bosses feel they have a “responsibility” to honour the two stars.
Executive producer Ken Ehrlich said: “While the primary focus of the Grammy Awards is to celebrate and honour the year’s best in music, we consider it our responsibility to tell music’s broader story by honouring its legends lost-that’s what we strive to achieve with our annual tributes.
“While it’s nearly impossible to convey the full depth of an artist’s cultural impact in a single performance, it’s that very challenge that has led us to some of our most memorable Grammy moments.”
It was previously reported that Bruno Mars was in talks to join The Time for a tribute to Prince, but this has not yet been confirmed.
Last year’s Grammys saw Lady Gaga pay tribute to the late David Bowie with a medley of his biggest hits.

Paris Jackson splits from boyfriend

OHMYGOSSIP — Paris Jackson has split from her boyfriend.
The 18-year-old actress – who is the daughter of the late Michael Jackson – has ended her romance with Michael Snoddy after almost a year of dating in order to focus on her role in Lee Daniels’ new TV show ‘Star’.
A source said: “Paris ended things with Michael…
“She is doing well, enjoying being on set with Lee Daniels and focusing her energy on the opportunities ahead.”
However, the insider admits they wouldn’t be surprised if the former couple – who recently enjoyed a romantic break in Paris, France – get back together in the future.
The source told Us Weekly magazine: “It appears that Paris and Michael have parted ways for now, but their future is uncertain…
“It might just be a temporary fix until she finds her way back to Michael again.”
While Paris hasn’t confirmed the split, she made reference to how difficult it is to love a “selfish” person on Twitter.
She posted: “loving a selfish person, whether a friend or more than a friend, is a tremendously heartbreaking thing to do to yourself.(sic)”
Paris recently gave an explosive interview to Rolling Stone magazine in which she spoke of her belief her famous father, who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009, was murdered.
She said: “It’s obvious.
“All arrows point to that. It sounds like a total conspiracy theory and it sounds like bulls**t, but all real fans and everybody in the family knows it. It was a set-up. it was bulls**t.”
The blonde beauty vowed to seek revenge and find “justice” for Michael, but she is not ready to disclose her plans just yet.
She added: “Of course [I want justice].
“I definitely do, but it’s a chess game. And I am trying to play the chess game the right way.
“And that’s all I can say about that right now.”
The ‘Bad’ hitmaker’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, was previously convicted of the involuntary manslaughter of the singer after administering the fatal dose of medication.

Tom Jones dating Priscilla Presley

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Tom Jones is dating Priscilla Presley.
The 76-year-old singer was left devastated when his beloved wife Linda died of cancer last April, but he is now moving on and has reportedly grown closer to the ‘Naked Gun’ actress – the former spouse of his late friend Elvis Presley – in recent weeks.
A source said: “Tom has had a tough year following the death of Linda, but he has enjoyed Priscilla’s company.
“They have been seen out in Hollywood and although it is early days they are taking each one as it comes.”
The ‘It’s Not Unusual’ hitmaker described Priscilla, 71, as a “lovely lady” and admitted he enjoys her company.
He told The Sun newspaper: “We have been friends for a long time.
“She’s a lovely lady. We do enjoy our nights out together.”
And his spokesperson added: “Priscilla Presley and Tom have known each other for many, many years.”
Tom previously admitted dealing with Linda’s death was the “hardest thing” he’d had to cope with.
He said: “It’s very difficult, the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.
“We were married for 59 years, we knew each other since we were kids. It was fast, she had cancer.
“I was in the Philippines, that was when I got the call, that it was terminal. I had to stop. So I flew back to Los Angeles and she had a week left, in the hospital.”
The couple married when they were just 16 and had son Mark, now 59, together and despite the ‘What’s New Pussycat’ singer’s womaniser reputation, he insists Linda was the “most important thing” in his life.
He said: “[I knew] she’d always been very important to me, always.
“Now I realise that she might have been the most important thing in my life. I realise even more now, how important she was to me.”
Despite rumours of a string of affairs, Tom insisted his marriage was never in jeopardy.
He wept as he said: “No. Never. Never crossed my mind; it didn’t cross her mind. It was solid. We had a solid marriage that nothing could shake and we both felt that.
“I felt very lucky to have fallen in love at an early age. We were teenagers. We fell in love, not just in lust. A lot of teenagers fall in lust and then it doesn’t last. But we knew this thing was forever, for as long as we would be alive. That’s how strong the marriage was.”

Gary Barlow to feature in Robbie Williams' music video

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Barlow is set to star in Robbie Williams’ new music video.
The 46-year-old singer-songwriter has reunited with his former Take That bandmate Robbie in London for a top-secret project that is set to create “mayhem” among fans of the pop group.
A source explained: “Robbie is going to cause mayhem among Take That fans when his video is released.
“He shot it on Monday at a flat in Shoreditch in east London. It’s for ‘Mixed Signals’, the song Brandon Flowers gave him. Gary was obviously more than happy to get involved with it.
“They talk all the time and have got all sorts of plans for new Take That stuff, but they knew this would be a way to whet our appetites.
“Robbie was filming all afternoon and drove in through a back entrance so no one would spot him.”
The video also features Robbie’s actress wife Ayda Field and ought to be well received by long-time Take That fans.
The source told The Sun newspaper: “Ayda came with him as she has a starring role in the video too.
“Gary came in the evening and filmed for a few hours. There’s a clever idea behind it and all will become apparent soon. But it’s safe to say that the fans will love it.”
The reunion is sure to ignite rumours of another Take That comeback for Robbie, who suggested in December that he was open to the idea.
Robbie said the band had no concrete plans in place, but admitted he’d like to make music with Take That again “at some point”.
He shared: “You can always fudge an anniversary of some sort. Like, it was the anniversary this year, but we got together in 1990, so the 25th anniversary would have been last year.
“Then there’s the anniversary of the first song, the first anniversary of most people with brown eyes buying the record and so on.”

Katherine Jackson accuses nephew of abuse

OHMYGOSSIP — Katherine Jackson has accused her nephew of abusing her.
The 86-year-old matriarch – the mother of the late Michael Jackson and his famous siblings including Janet, Jermaine and La Toya Jackson – has obtained a restraining order against “abusive con-man” Trent Lamar Jackson, who previously acted as her driver.
In court documents obtained by TMZ and People, Katherine claims she was manipulated for years by Trent and left “in a constant state of fear and confusion” so he could take control of her finances and stay in her guest house for free.
The paperwork goes on to claim Trent tried to estrange his aunt from her children and she had to hide in her closet in order to speak to her offspring freely. Katherine’s eldest daughter Rebbie and some of her other kids are willing to testify against him.
While Katherine – who was appointed legal guardian to Michael’s children Prince, 19, Paris, 18, and Bigi, 14, after his death – is currently in London visiting Janet, her husband Wissam Al Mana and their new baby son Eissa, she is concerned about repercussions on her return to the US.
The documents state: “Now that he knows his conduct will be revealed, she fears what he may do to her upon her return.”
According to Katherine, she tried to fire Trent from his job as her driver, for which he was paid a “near six-figure” sum, on February 3 with the Sheriff present, but he fled as deputies and her lawyer arrived.
Trent – who has been accused of taking money from his aunt’s accounts and using her credit cards for personal purchases – must stay 100 yards away from Katherine under the terms of the order.
The judge also ordered him to move out of her guest house and return all his keys, passwords and combinations to the property.
A further hearing will take place on March 1.

Judge denies Robin Thicke's visitation requests

OHMYGOSSIP — Robin Thicke has been denied all of his requests to modify his visitation arrangement with his six-year-old son Julian Fuego.
The 39-year-old singer is currently limited to three visits a week with his son for a few hours each day, and his efforts to have the visitation arrangement amended were dismissed by a judge on Wednesday (08.02.17).
In particular, Robin wanted to scrap the requirement for a court-appointment monitor to supervise the visits with his son, whom he shares with his ex-wife, actress Paula Patton.
The ‘Blurred Lines’ hitmaker also wanted to discharge the current monitor, amid suggestions the person was biased against him, and remove the monitor’s authority to alter or cancel visits, according to TMZ.
The legal hearing came shortly after the court-appointed monitor nixed a visit that Julian didn’t want to go ahead.
And more recently, the monitor prematurely ended a visit in which Robin took his son to Kids World in Los Angeles.
Last month, a judge gave Paula sole legal and physical custody of their son after she alleged in court documents that her ex-husband physically abused her, was unfaithful and struggles with drug and alcohol addictions.
And under the temporary restraining order taken out against him, Robin is also required to stay 100 yards away from Paula, her mother and Julian the rest of the time.
However, an insider recently insisted Robin remains “focused” on his son despite Paula’s best efforts to damage his public image.
The source said: “[Paula] keeps trying to bury him, and this is a concerted effort to prejudice the public against him. He has taken no such campaign against her.
“He’s taking this extremely seriously, and it’s unfortunate and very difficult when you’re on the receiving end of a campaign of negativity.”
Paula, 41, divorced the singer in 2015 after 21 years together and almost nine years of marriage.

Jamie Lynn Spears' daughter Maddie is 'making progress'

OHMYGOSSIP — Britney Spears’ niece Maddie is “making progress” after she was involved in an ATV accident.
The ‘Piece of Me’ hitmaker took to social media to reveal the eight-year-old daughter of her sister Jamie Lynn is doing better after she was knocked unconscious when the off-road vehicle she was riding flipped over on Sunday (05.02.17).
Taking to Instagram, she wrote: “We are so grateful to share that Maddie is making progress. Thank you all for sending thoughts and prayers our way. Let’s all keep praying.”
It comes after Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Department revealed Maddie was “awake and talking”.
A statement released from the Department by a representative for Spears’ family said: “With her father, mother and stepfather by her side, Maddie regained consciousness mid-day Tuesday, February 7. The eight-year-old daughter of entertainer Jamie Lynn Spears was involved in an ATV accident at a family home Sunday in Kentwood, LA. Paramedics resuscitated her and she was airlifted to a local hospital. She is aware of her surroundings and recognizes those family members who have kept a round-the-clock vigil since the accident.
“Doctors were able to remove the ventilator today and she is awake and talking. Maddie continues to receive oxygen and is being monitored closely but it appears that she has not suffered any neurological consequences from the accident.”
The accident reportedly happened when Maddie’s vehicle “entered the pond” after she swerved to avoid a drainage hole.
The police report read: “The ATV and child were instantly submerged in the water right before their eyes. Within seconds the child’s mother, stepfather and other family members reached the pond, dove in and attempted to rescue the child to no avail.
“The child was trapped and secured by the seatbelt and the ATV’s safety netting. Within two minutes, Acadian Ambulance Services arrived and assisted in freeing the child from the cold waters.”

Justin Timberlake wants to be son's teacher

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Timberlake could “teach his son a lot” about the showbiz industry.
The ‘Cry Me a River’ hitmaker isn’t sure if he would approve of his 22-month-old son Silas – who he shares with his wife Jessica Biel – following him into the music industry later in his life but feels he would be a good teacher if his son did make that decision.
He said: “Would I want my child to follow my path? You know, I haven’t been able to answer that question in my mind. If he wanted it bad enough, I suppose I could teach him a lot about what not to do.”
And the 36-year-old singer admits becoming a father himself has “opened all the floodgates” and has shown him the importance of how a parent can affect their child’s life so deeply.
He added to The Hollywood Reporter magazine: “You go through your life with your own traumas, big and small, and think, ‘It’s not that bad, I have a lot to be thankful for, my parents did the best they could.’
“But then you have a child of your own, and suddenly it opens all the floodgates, and you’re like, ‘No, no, no! That childhood trauma really did f**k me up!'”
Meanwhile, Justin previously admitted becoming a father has changed his life and has forced him to reflect on his music career.
He said: “My life has changed and is changing. So it’s important to discover that there’s work you can do where you get more time with your family. I wouldn’t go on tour next week because I wanna be with my son. I wanna be with my wife. What does touring even look like for me now? It’s such a luxury to be able to make those decisions: to be able to think about how you could do the work you used to do in a different way.
“As men, we’re always taught at a young age to be a man and have your priorities in order. And you get to a point where you’re like, ‘It’s not about ‘being a man’, it’s about fulfilment.’ Which is a totally different thing.”

Selena Gomez went through difficult time

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez was going through a “really difficult time” before she went to rehab.
The ‘Hands to Myself’ hitmaker opened up about her time at a facility in Nashville, Tennessee last year, as she promoted her new Netflix show ’13 Reasons Why’, which is based on a novel about a teenager who commits suicide after leaving messages to 13 people she knew telling them how they played a role in her death.
She said: “I think that my high school experience was amplified. I wouldn’t say it was worse, but it made it harder.
“To be frank with you, I actually was going through a really difficult time when they started production. I went away for 90 days, and I actually met a ton of kids in this place that were talking about issues that these characters are experiencing.”
And the 24-year-old singer also opened up about her “confusing” childhood and her struggle with growing up in the spotlight.
She added: “Whether it was just kids or growing up in the biggest high school in the world, which was Disney Channel, it was also adults that had the audacity to kind of tell me how I should live my life. It was very confusing for me. I had no idea who I was going to be, what I’m still going to become.
“Whether I like it or not, a lot of people have watched me grow up, and I do feel like, I have these conversations with my fans. I’ve never really wanted to be the kind of unapproachable person. Whether I like it or not, people have seen a lot of my mistakes and I had to use that as a good thing, because then they’re able to trust me. I want to be a part of this, because I think this is what they want, this is what they need.”
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty also slammed social media for painting a false idea of reality.
Speaking at a panel in New York City, she said: “I can’t stand what they’re looking at and what they think is reality …
“There are 17-year-olds that look older than me and that freaks me out. We’re just so disconnected from people now. Teens just really want that connection.”

Eva Longoria's full potential

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Longoria wasn’t “reaching her full potential” as an actress.
The ‘Desperate Housewives’ star made the decision to step behind the camera and feels she makes a great director because she is a woman and they are “the best problem solvers in the world”.
She said: “I knew when I was on set [as an actress] I wasn’t reaching my full potential as a human being, and I love telling people what to do – I’m really good at it.
“I say this confidently, not arrogantly. I’m a really good director because I’m a woman, because directing is about problem-solving and I think woman are the best problem solvers in the world.”
However, the 41-year-old actress and director still believes there is a bias towards men in the industry, using the example of how she couldn’t get a female remake of the hit TV series ‘Magnum P.I.’ made.
Speaking at the MAKERS Conference in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, she added: “At the end of Magnum P.I. back then, he had a daughter. So, we were making the sequel where she’s a badass. She’s everything Magnum was, except a woman. And it didn’t get made. I really feel that was that unconscious bias of that study if people go ‘well, we just don’t see her doing everything he did.’ And I go, why not? Why can’t you see it that way?”
Meanwhile, Eva previously admitted her “goal” is to direct and produce.
She said: “My goal has always been to direct and produce. I want to see my stories reflected on the big and small screens. I want more control over my destiny in this industry.
“Economic mobility is one way to empower Latinas. Latinas are the CEOs of the household finances and health decisions. I want to give women the tools to make sure they become engines for good.”
And the brunette beauty has dreams of becoming the “female George Clooney”.
She said: “I want to be the female George Clooney. He directs, produces and stars. I want to be in charge of the final product. Everyone goes, ‘Oh, she’s an actor-turned-director,’ and I’m like, ‘No, I was always a director and a producer who happened to become an actor.'”

Reese Witherspoon's close bond with Big Little Lies co-stars

OHMYGOSSIP — Reese Witherspoon became “deeply invested” in her ‘Big Little Lies’ co-stars.
The 40-year-old actress got really close to the likes of Nicole Kidman and Laura Dern on the set of the comedy-drama show and recalled how they would enjoy a glass of wine together after filming wrapped.
She said: “We talked about nothing to do with work. It was always just our personal lives: what’s going on with our kids, single girls and who they’re dating. We just became a really close-knit family, even with the kids, too – hanging out with them and playing with them.
“You get deeply invested in people. I think that’s part of the experience of getting to know people. What deepens our relationships on set, even more than a rehearsal, is the glass of wine you have after work. ‘What’s on in your life? How’s your mom? How’s your heart?’ That kind of stuff.”
And Reese has an equally close friendship with her daughter Ava, 17.
She added to E! News: “People come up to her [all the time]. We were at a premiere and they were congratulating her on her performance. She’s like, ‘I’m not in the movie.’ … She is very supportive, and I love that she’s here to help me.
Meanwhile, Reese – who also has 13-year-old son Deacon with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe as well as Tennessee, four, with her spouse Jim Toth – previously admitted she often feels “guilty” when she is working away from her three children.
She said: “Every woman feels guilty if they’re working or guilty if they’re staying home all the time. There are all sorts of factors in between about economics and what each family needs. Actually my next show, ‘Big Little Lies’ has a lot to do with that and about the complexity of women’s lives and the choices they have to make that affect their self-esteem and their marriage and their family …
“You have to just live your life and make your own choices. Every family is different, and every family has to make their own choices, based on their circumstances. You have to rise above any negativity and know that you’re doing the right thing for your family.”

Lena Dunham's bum tattoo

OHMYGOSSIP — Lena Dunham has a restaurant’s logo tattooed on her bottom.
The ‘Girls’ star made the admission as she pointed out the nine permanent inkings she has had done, which also include her co-star Jemima Kirke’s dog, a snake wrapped around the moon and an illustration from a kid’s book.
Answering Vogue magazine’s ’73 Questions’, she said: “On my side, Jemima [Kirke] tattooed a little picture of her dog, Rosie. I have an illustration from a children’s book – a drunk guy did it. It’s not great, I should get it covered up. Then I have Laura Thornhill, who’s one of the first female skateboarders in history.
“I have Eloise as a tramp stamp – you know, Eloise who lived at the Plaza? And then here [on her inner wrist on her right arm] and it says ‘staunch’ right there from ‘Grey Gardens’ … On my butt, I have a snake wrapped around the moon. I also have a sign for The Odeon, which is my favourite restaurant in Tribeca.”
And the 30-year-old actress also confessed what tattoo she plans to get next.
She quipped: “Jemima is planning to tattoo the word ‘nasty’ on my butt.”
Lena may be great friends with her ‘Girls’ co-stars but admits there have been times when she has felt “very lonely” on set.
She said: “Sometimes I would get very lonely, because I wanted to be a part of the group, but there was also the element of, like, having to boss people around. And we would be doing all this as a team, [but] if we got criticism, I felt like it would all come down on me in this s**t-storm torrent. Even though I was surrounded by love, there were times where I felt very ‘by myself’ in the process.”

Chris Evans splits from Jenny Slate

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Evans has split from Jenny Slate.
The ‘Captain America: Civil War’ star and the 34-year-old comedienne and actress have reportedly called time on their romance after nine months together.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: “It was completely amicable and a mutual decision due to conflicting schedules and they remain very close friends.”
The pair had kept their romance largely under wraps during the time they were dating but Jenny once confessed Chris was her “dream boyfriend”.
She said at the time: “It’s kind of like I got my dream seventh grade boyfriend. We didn’t know each other growing up, but we grew up about half an hour away from each other. We’ve been friends for a while, and, yeah.”
The pair happily posed on the red carpet together at a number of events including Jenny’s movie ‘The Secret Life of Pets’ last summer where she admitted it was lovely to have someone there who “knows” how premieres work and understands the demands of her job.
Speaking about having Chris along to support her at the premiere, she said: “I haven’t really had a large premiere before, so it’s nice to have someone who knows how it goes.”
Meanwhile, Chris previously opened up about his ideal woman.
Asked if he’d prefer a woman to send him a picture of her breasts, bottom or face, he said: “I’m way, way, way more of an ass man, clearly more of an ass man. Just so everyone knows. I like butts. [So] I guess a butt pic …
“I would probably ask for her number at first. But let’s say we met at 10, and I left the bar at 11 and I sent her a text at 11:30 saying, ‘Hey, it was great to meet you.’ And she responds, ‘Yeah, you too.’ And at 3 a.m. there’s another text [from her], right away it’s a little bit of a bummer.”

Justin Timberlake was 'growing out' of *NSYNC

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Timberlake left *NSYNC because he felt he was “growing out of it”.
The ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’ hitmaker decided to “follow his heart” and leave the boy band – which also included JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass – so he could launch his own solo career.
Speaking about the split, he said: “We were on a stadium tour, and I just felt like the whole thing was too big. It started as a fun snowball fight that was becoming an avalanche.
“And, also, I was growing out of it. I felt like I cared more about the music than some of the other people in the group. And I felt like I had other music I wanted to make and that I needed to follow my heart.”
And the 36-year-old singer – who has 22-month-old son Silas with his wife Jessica Biel – opened up about being on the road at a young age, admitting he “can’t really remember not being famous”.
He told The Hollywood Reporter magazine: “I was about 15 or 16 years old. We’d just given a concert in Germany at a festival on this huge field. And we were in the tour bus afterward, driving on a dirt road, and I looked out the window and saw all these young, impressionable females running after the bus.
“I think we can all agree that I did not have a normal childhood … I have some faint images from my childhood but no, I can’t really remember not being famous.”
Meanwhile, Justin previously revealed his son “shaped” his hit single ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’.
He said: “I’d be leaving out the whole truth if I didn’t say having him shaped what the song actually is. [Having a child] gives you a different insight. It’s like ‘The Matrix,’ man. You open a door and there’s this whole other world on the other side of it. And you look back through the door at the other world and you’re like, ‘What was I doing there?'”

Madonna adopts twin sisters

OHMYGOSSIP — Madonna has confirmed she is adopting twin girls.
The ‘Living for Love’ hitmaker took to Instagram to confirm she would be taking on the care of four-year-old Stella and Esther, whilst also expressing her thanks to those in Malawi who made it possible.
Captioning a photograph of herself walking with the twins, she wrote: “I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family.
“I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible, and I ask the media please to respect our privacy during this transitional time. Thank you also to my friends, family and my very large team for all your support and Love! (sic)”
It comes after judiciary spokesperson Mlenga Mvula revealed Madonna – who also has Lourdes, 20, Rocco, 16, Mercy and David, both 11 – “exuded happiness” when she was granted permission to adopt the twins on Tuesday (07.02.17).
She said: “Madonna exuded happiness. She smiled while she was making her way out of the courtroom, and then she drove away [with the girls] …
“Madonna has been very close to Malawi. She has been involved in so many projects and is currently helping to expand the children’s ward at the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital.
“So Madonna has been coming to Malawi frequently. So it is not unusual to people in Malawi at all. They know Madonna very well in terms of the high-profile work she has done for the community.”
The twins’ father and uncle were in the courtroom to hear the ruling.
A spokesperson added: “Their mother died a week after she delivered the babies. After their mother died, the children were looked after by their grandmother, who could not fully provide for them, so they were taken into an orphanage.”

Aaron Taylor-Johnson 'relieved' at Oscar snub

OHMYGOSSIP — Aaron Taylor-Johnson felt “relieved” when he didn’t receive an Oscar nomination.
The 26-year-old actor was thought to have been a shoe in for a nod ahead of the annual awards ceremony for his role in ‘Nocturnal Animals’ but he isn’t too worried about missing out as he admits it felt “good to finally step off the train” after promoting the film for half a year.
He said: “There was relief when my wife told me that I hadn’t been nominated. Coming home from the Globes with an award was brilliant, but I’ve been promoting ‘Nocturnal Animals’ for six months.
“As an actor, you prefer to put that kind of energy into something creative. It was good to finally step off the train. You do kind of go, I’m losing my mind.”
Aaron has been married to filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson since 2012 and felt that whilst the attention about their 23 year age difference was “intrusive”, it has helped him cope with the very public nature of his job.
He added to New York magazine: “The attention was intrusive. But having to deal with that early in my career probably got me to a place where I can more quickly just go, ‘Oh, f**k it’ instead of wanting to rip someone’s head off for asking questions I don’t like …
“I’ll never be Jennifer Lawrence or Tom Cruise, someone who can hold a movie and then be charming and charismatic doing promotion. I haven’t got what they’ve got. But at least I’m now comfortable just being myself.”
Meanwhile, Aaron recently admitted he needed “therapy” after wrapping on ‘Nocturnal Animals’.
He shared: “I spent a lot of time watching documentaries on serial killers. It was not nice. It was sleepless nights, it was dark. Some actors do job to job. I do one thing a year. I need that time in order to remember and come back. To be grounded. A little bit of therapy in there. It was intense.”
