OHMYGOSSIP — Reese Witherspoon felt very “emotional” when Emma Stone won an Oscar.
The ‘Wild’ star was thrilled to see Emma pick up the Best Actress in a Leading Role gong at the ceremony on Sunday (26.02.17) for her part in ‘La La Land’ as it reminded her of when she won an Academy Award in 2006.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “I’m always getting emotional when people win.
“It’s a lifelong dream and it’s a very small group of people. And you feel very honoured to be a part of it. It’s very fun and exciting. I get excited for people.”
And Brie Larson also congratulated Emma on her award, posting a sweet picture of the pair hugging at the event.
She captioned it: “You know what’s better than winning? Watching your friends win. @TheAcademy (sic)”
In her acceptance speech, Emma paid tribute to her fellow nominees Meryl Streep, Ruth Negga, Isabelle Huppert and Natalie Portman
She said: “To the women in this category – you were all so extraordinary and I look up to you and admire you. It has been the greatest honour to stand alongside you.”
And she went on to thank filmmaker Damien Chazelle and her co-star Ryan Gosling for the “crazy adventures” making the movie gave them all.
She added: “I realise a moment like this is a huge confluence of luck and opportunity so I want to thank Damien Chazelle to be given the opportunity. Ryan Gosling, thank you for making me laugh and always raising the bar and being the best partner on this crazy adventure.
“To all the people that worked on this movie, I’m going to find you all individually and I’m going to thank you. I’m going to hug the hell out of you when the feeling re-enters my body. I still have a lot of growing and learning to do, and this guy (the Oscar statue) is a really beautiful symbol of continuing to do that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Rod Stewart took the underground to his gig.
The ‘I Don’t Want to Talk About It’ hitmaker and his wife Penny Lancaster travelled on public transport to his concert at London’s iconic O2 Arena on Monday evening (27.02.17).
Penny, 45, uploaded two pictures of herself with the 72-year-old rocker riding around on London’s tube network.
Captioning the pictures of the pair disguising themselves in oversized black coats and dark sunglasses, she wrote: “Sneaking into London by train today … From the overground to the Underground!! (sic)”
Rod was recently honoured with a knighthood and Penny has revealed he teared up when he found out he would be handed the once-in-a-lifetime honour.
She said: “He never expected it because he thought, I’ve had my award, I’ve been granted a CBE and he was very flattered and honoured by that. But this was a shock.
“He kept having to re-read the letter and literally collapsing on the sofa and going, ‘I can’t believe this, I can’t believe this!’ He was in tears about it, really emotional.
“He was very happy after the embargo of three weeks to be able to announce it on stage. He was doing a concert the night the news came out and he was able to tell the crowd on his encore that he was about to be knighted. The place erupted.”
And Penny insists she doesn’t want to be referred to as Lady Stewart.
She added: “When we found out Rod was a knight, Alistair asked ‘What does that make me?’ I just said, ‘It just makes you the son of a knight, darling! You don’t change your name.’
“Not that I will be changing my name either. It’s there for formal or official occasions but otherwise I’m still Penny! I’d never insist on being called Lady Stewart.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tara Palmer-Tomkinson was laid to rest at a private funeral on Monday (27.02.17).
Hundreds gathered at the parish church in Dummer, Hampshire to remember the late star, who passed away from a perforated stomach ulcer on February 8.
The service was attended by close family and friends including Blue’s Duncan James and Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes whilst Tara’s sister Santa Montefiore gave the eulogy.
In her eulogy, which she posted on her official Facebook page, Santa said: “I know that Tara is here with us today in spirit, so I’m going to address this to her. My darling Tara, I hope you know how much we miss you. From the moment you were born we were a family of five, but now we are four and that just isn’t right.
“I hope you’re aware of all the lovely things people have written about you, and that you are touched, because you never believed you lit up a room or made people feel special, but you did. You really did. I hope that you are resting, because you found life hard and now it is done.
“My beloved sister, I don’t think you realised that success is never about the big things, but about the small things, and that just being you was enough.”
Santa also shared her hope that Tara would be reunited with the family’s beloved pet pooches and keep her “loopy humour” up there too.
She added: “I hope the old Dummer dogs have found you and given you a tremendous welcome, because you adored the dogs, and they will make Heaven feel more like home.
I hope the angels wrap their wings around you, because, although you shrank from embraces in life, you need to be hugged. You really do.
“I hope you can make rabbit ears and witty rhymes up there, because your loopy humour was your gift to us and now it is your gift to them. How they will laugh. I envy them that.
As your sister I always wanted to look after you and I tried, I really tried. I hope they are looking after you now in Heaven and that you are letting them, and that you heal.
“Most of all, my dearest Tara, I hope you know that we love you, with all our hearts, we really do.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Halle Berry skinny dipped in a pool after the 2017 Oscars.
The ‘Extant’ star uploaded a video of herself slipping out of her stunning Atelier Versace custom gown and jumping head first into the pool.
Captioning the video, she wrote: “After a long award show a girl can’t wait to take it off!@brunomars #24kmagic (sic)”
It comes after Halle admitted she is feeling happier than ever following her split from Olivier Martinez.
She explained: “I just feel happy, you know? I’ve arrived at a really good place once again, that’s always good news. Down time, dark times, don’t last forever – the sun is out again and it feels great.”
However, it’s not always been that way as the 50-year-old actress – who has eight-year-old daughter Nahla with her former partner Gabriel Aubry and Maceo, three, with her ex-spouse Olivier – previously admitted her failed marriages made her feel “so guilty”.
She said: “I have learned to deal with three failed marriages, which has not been easy, especially when there’s children involved. [As] women, we go into marriage thinking it’s going to last forever and that this is our prince on a shiny horse.
“That’s what fairytales taught me as a kid … and I’m kind of anti-fairytales today. But we go in there with that hope, so when it falls apart it feels like a huge failure and a huge disappointment. I’ve often felt guilty and responsible. I’ve suffered a lot of pain and anguish.”
However difficult these times have been, they have still taught her a lot about herself.
She added: “In every one of those situations, as hard – and sometimes embarrassing – as it was, I learned so much about myself.
“All of those relationships were necessary for me. We all come here with lessons that we have to learn and those relationships provided me with lessons that got me to where I am right now. For that, I’m grateful. But it has been hard. It’s been a difficult part of my life.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Salma Hayek says things were “freaky” backstage when ‘La La Land’ was wrongly announced as Best Picture at the Oscars on Sunday evening (26.02.17).
The gaffe – which saw the feel-good musical movie, directed by Damien Chazelle, mistakenly announced as the winner of the coveted prize instead of Barry Jenkins’ ‘Moonlight’ – was witnessed by the ‘From Dusk till Dawn’ star, who was standing backstage at the time.
Of the commotion, she told Entertainment Tonight: “I actually heard the stage manager standing in front of me saying, ‘No, no, no, that is not the movie.’ And so I saw it before it happened.
“I said, ‘What are they going to do now?’ and then I said, ‘Oh my god, they are going to say it.’ I actually saw it before everyone else and it was kind of freaky but exciting and I am just glad at least two movies got to get up on stage and be celebrating.”
Since the incident, the company which compiles the Oscar results has “sincerely apologised” for the mix-up.
Accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) said in a statement: “We sincerely apologise to ‘Moonlight’, ‘La La Land’, Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, and Oscar viewers for the error that was made during the award announcement for Best Picture.
“The presenters had mistakenly been given the wrong category envelope and when discovered, was immediately corrected. We are currently investigating how this could have happened, and deeply regret that this occurred. We appreciate the grace with which the nominees, the Academy, ABC, and Jimmy Kimmel handled the situation.”
There are two sets of briefcases at the side of the stage at the ceremony, which each contain the evening’s results, for security purposes.
Brian Cullinan of PwC previously explained: “From a security perspective, we double up everything. That’s why there’s two of us. We have two briefcases, that are identical, and we have two entire sets of winning envelopes. Martha [L. Ruiz] carries one of those briefcases, I carry the other.
“We go to the show separately with police escorts. I used to think it was for our security, it’s really for the briefcase. We take different routes to get there just because of the kinds of things that can happen in L.A. traffic. We want to make sure that no matter what happens, one of us gets there. We’ve never really had a problem with that.”

The ‘Gossip Girl’ star tied the knot with his girlfriend, who is the sister of actresses Jemima and Lola Kirke, at a courthouse in Brooklyn, New York on Monday (27.02.17).
One friend wrote on social media: “Congrats to a couple beautiful people (sic)”
Whilst Lola shared on her own Instagram page: “When someone gets married in a courthouse, it’s really an open invitation to everyone but the beautiful bride to explore all that fashion has to offer.
“Here, I try a look simply called “Pants,” as Cassius goes for “That Dude from #incubus” and Jemima experiments with “Off to Therapy!” Congratulations @dominokirke. We love you. (sic)”
Lola also shared pictures of her and her sister the night before the big day.

OHMYGOSSIP — Judd Apatow was inspired to turn to TV by Lena Dunham.
The 49-year-old producer, director and writer – who has directed Hollywood movies including ‘The 40-Year-Old Virgin’, ‘Knocked Up’ and ‘Trainwreck’ – turned to television after meeting the ‘Girls’ creator.
He said: “I didn’t really plan to do TV. And then I met Lena [Dunham, and] I just thought, Oh, this is such a special talent. I would do anything with her.
“The entire landscape of television changed and people would give you a season order and give you commitments. Now, what I like to do, which wasn’t really built for network, is suddenly more in demand.”
Judd served as producer on the HBO show but insists he is rarely needed as they do “such a beautiful job”.
He told Entertainment Tonight: “[I’m a] cog in the machine … I can be very helpful at key moments, but, you know, the weight isn’t on me.
“They do such a beautiful job that I couldn’t have been less needed. I thought, I can only hurt this.”
Meanwhile, Lena previously admitted she was “fantasising” about a ‘Girls’ movie.
She said: “I have fantasies of us all coming back and making a movie when we’re 40. I think we’d want to wait long enough for something to have really gone down.
“I know we have our darker season and lighter seasons. We definitely has some darkness. I just wrote an episode in a fever dream. I had a moment where I was like, ‘Did I accidentally write a remake of ‘Traffic’? What just happened?’
“We spent a lot of time talking about where these girls will end up. We definitely have a distinct idea of where we want to see them. I even sometimes focus on this final image that I see, but between now and then, anything can happen.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Beth Phoenix is to be inducted into the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame.
The 36-year-old professional wrestler will be honoured alongside the likes of Kurt Angle and Diamond Dallas Page on March 31 in Orlando, Florida.
Of the honour, she said: “When you are in WWE, you dream of that moment [in the future] when you get to reflect on your career and the things that you did and you get that wonderful individual honour.
“It seemed so far off in the distance for me [when I was wrestling]. I didn’t know when – or if – I’d ever experience that feeling. I certainly didn’t think I’d have that opportunity this early in my life. It’s amazing and very, very humbling.”
Beth was told the news by Mark Carrano, WWE’s vice president of talent relations, last month and he revealed Vince McMahon and Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque were the ones who made the decision.
She added: “To hear they find my career was worthy enough and that I did well enough in the ring to be honored among the greatest of all time was incredible and the biggest compliment I could ever ask for. It’s still sinking in and is very surreal.”
And if Beth wanted to get some tips from how to deal with this new honour, she only has to look to her husband Adam ‘Edge’ Copeland, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2012.
She told For The Win: “He was like, ‘Oh, OK.’ He wasn’t shocked by it at all. He’s like, ‘Of course, you deserve it.’ I was shocked by that response, too.
“I said, ‘You think I deserve this? Is this the right time?’ He was 100 percent confident and he made me feel like a million bucks about it. He is super excited. We’re still celebrating it and looking forward to seeing everyone at WrestleMania and enjoying the experience.”
Phoenix first joined WWE in 2006, where she dubbed herself ‘The Glamazon’ and dominated the Women’s Championship, impressing fans with her infamous Glam Slam. OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Stone only attended the Oscars’ after party for 10 minutes.
The ‘La La Land’ star – who picked up the Best Actress in a Leading Role gong at the awards ceremony on Sunday evening (26.02.17) – was spotted arriving at the Lionsgate party at 12.30am, clutching her Academy Award in her hands.
She briefly chatted with ‘La La Land’ director Damien Chazelle as other guests flocked to congratulate the pair on the film’s success and their own personal triumphs as Chazelle also took home the Best Director gong.
After posing for photos with cast and crew and other attendees, Emma left the Oscars at 12.40am, according to People magazine.
Meanwhile, in her acceptance speech, Emma paid tribute to her fellow nominees Meryl Streep, Ruth Negga, Isabelle Huppert and Natalie Portman before going on to thank Chazelle and her co-star Ryan Gosling.

OHMYGOSSIP — Viola Davis felt like a “princess” after her Oscar win.
The ‘Fences’ star took home the Best Actress in a Supporting Role gong at the annual awards bash on Sunday evening (26.02.17) and admits it was nearly as good as her wedding day.
Asked how she felt after taking home the prize, she told E! News: “It’s wonderful, glorious. I felt like a princess. I never feel like a princess you know except for my husband when I got married I felt like a princess. It was just you know a culmination of dreaming big and your dreams being bigger than your circumstances.”
In her acceptance speech, Viola discussed her humble beginnings and revealed how she always wanted to “be somebody”.
She said: “I’m going to try not to cry now [and] be cheesy. I can’t believe my life. I grew up in poverty. You know, I grew up in apartments that were condemned and rat infested, and I just always sort of wanted to be somebody.
“I just wanted to be good at something. And so this is sort of like the miracle of God, of dreaming big and just hoping that it sticks and it lands, and it did. Who knew? So I’m overwhelmed.”
And Viola – who has five-year-old daughter Genesis with her husband Julius Tennon – went on to praise her parents for letting her pursue her dreams.
She said: “You know, someone told me years ago, they said, ‘You have the best parents.’ And I said, ‘I do?’ And they said, ‘Yeah, because they’re okay with just letting you fly. They’re not stage parents.’ And I think that’s the biggest gift my parents gave to me is to kind of allow me to live my own life. They weren’t living their dreams through me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chrissy Teigen fell asleep at the Oscars.
The 31-year-old model accompanied her husband John Legend to the glitzy awards bash on Sunday evening (26.02.17) where cameras appear to have caught her snoozing during Emma Stone and Casey Affleck’s acceptance speeches for Best Actress and Best Actor in a Leading Role respectively.
And Chrissy appeared to joke about the whole thing as she took to her Twitter.
Posting a message for her 4.4 million followers, she wrote: “just woke up what happened (sic)”
The mother-of-one – who has 10-month-old daughter Luna with the ‘All of Me’ hitmaker – was showered with comments from her fans who branded her the “queen of the internet” and told her she was “America’s sweetheart”.
Fans regularly take to social media to tell Chrissy and John they are “relationship goals” but Chrissy thinks “it’s kind of silly” that people feel that way because everyone needs to “have high standards of relationships goals.”
She said: “I do think it’s kind of silly. I love being that way, because I love people looking up to somebody who has a relationship that’s enviable, of course. But also, the things they say it for are so stupid, like, we’ll be eating a burrito and someone will be like, ‘Relationship goals!’ and I’m like, ‘Go get a burrito? Just eat a burrito!’
“We should definitely have higher standards of relationship goals, but at the same time we’re very happy to be people’s relationship goals.”
And the Sports Illustrated model is no doubt glad she was able to get some time to spend with John alone as she previously admitted she feels very lucky to get that “me time” with her husband as not everyone can afford a babysitter.
She added: “We’re very lucky to be able to do that. Not a lot of people can do that: can go on date nights, can have a sitter, have someone take care of their baby. ‘Me time’ is important, but not everybody can do it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — James Corden wants to host the Oscars.
The 38-year-old star is no stranger to hosting award ceremonies having previously presented the BRIT Awards in 2009, 2011 and 2012, the Tony Awards in 2016 and most recently the Grammys this February and now he has admitted he would “love a crack” at taking control of proceedings at the Academy Awards.
Speaking on the red carpet before the Vanity Fair Oscars Party on Sunday evening (26.02.17), ‘The Late Late Show’ star – who attended the bash with his wife Julia – said: “I don’t know if I’d ever get asked if I’m honest, I’d love a crack at it but I don’t know if it would ever come my way!”
However, if James was to take on the Oscars – which was this year hosted by fellow talk show host Jimmy Kimmel – next year it would have to be the only awards show he fronts, as he previously claimed it would be “greedy” to host more than one award show in one year.
Asked if he would consider presenting the Tonys in June after having already hosted the Grammys, he said: “I don’t know if I could do it this year, really. To host the Grammys and the Tonys in one year is perhaps a little greedy.
“Don’t get me get wrong, though, hosting that show is a dream come true to me. I’d cry my eyes out if I thought that I could never host it again. But if that were the case, I’d be thrilled that I got to host it last year.
“I’ve never been so aware of how much I’m enjoying something at the time that I’m doing it than hosting the Tonys.
“But I also don’t know that the audience wants the same person to host all these shows. I’m very conscious of not overstaying my welcome.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Makenzie Vega and Blair Norfolk have got married.
The 23-year-old actress tied the knot with her model fiancé over Super Bowl weekend earlier this month (04.02.17), and the pair have now taken to Instagram to share their happy news with their fans.
Posting a picture of the happy couple on the photo sharing site, 30-year-old Blair – who is also the co-founder of the health food brand Activated Nutrients – said: “Three weeks ago today we made the commitment to become a family of two. My wife is the first person I’ve ever met that not only helps me be the best version of myself but manages to make everyone around her feel valued and loved. I’ve never known so much love, kindness and laughter. I am truly blessed to have you as my partner in crime for life @makenzievega (sic)”
Meanwhile, ‘The Good Wife’ actress – who played Alicia Florrick on the American drama series which aired its finale in May 2016 – shared a number of snaps on her social media account, including some from their wedding which appeared to have taken place in private on a beach.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona has been blocked on Instagram after she followed too many people in one go.
The 36-year-old singer, who recently returned from touring with Atomic Kitten in New Zealand and Australia, joined Instagram on Friday (24.02.17) while she was at home recuperating from a viral infection.
And whilst she uses the photo-sharing social media platform to pass time as she recovers from her illness, something else has left the ‘Whole Again’ singer sick to the stomach.
Kerry – whose Instagram moniker is djrosekay, inspired by her youngest daughter Dylan-Jorge Rose, her child with husband George Kay – has so far managed to attract 698 followers but after she tried to follow many of her fans back, the kitten has been blocked from following anyone else.
Kerry, who is followed by 487,000 people on Twitter, told them on Monday (27.02.17): “Still unable to follow back on Instagram yet but I’m working on it xxx.” She uploaded a screenshot of the message which read: “You’re temporarily blocked. It looks like you was misusing this feature by going too fast. You’ve been temporarily blocked from using it. We restrict certain content and actions to protect our community. Tell us if you think we made a mistake.”
And just a couple of hours later she updated fans, and told them: “Still unable to follow you all back!”
And proceeded to upload snaps to her Kerrykatona7 Instagram account.
When she joined Instagram she alerted her fans to the fact that she was a novice. She tweeted: “Just started a Instagram account not too sure what I’m doing! Djrosekay,” (sic).
The blonde beauty didn’t waste any time getting to grips with posting selfies as she uploaded a photograph of herself with a rabbit filter over her face from Snapchat.
Kerry shared her second photograph on her account, of her with her two-year-old daughter Dylan-Jorge Rose, whom she has with her husband George Kay, alongside the caption: “Hehehe (sic).”
The reality TV star also made use of the story feature on Instagram by posting a picture of her grinning at the camera and doodling “Follow me” across the screen in pen.
And three days later she was still getting to grips with it, and declared: “Just playing about, trying to get use to it.”
But the stars Instagram account cannot currently be viewed, as the website states: “The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.”
Despite appearing to be the picture of perfect health in her selfies, Kerry has been in the wars recently and was forced to have 10 cortisone injections in her shoulder recently.
Earlier this week, Kerry was reunited with her husband George and her children – Molly, 15, and Lily-Sue, 14, her daughters with Brian McFadden, Heidi, 10, and Maxwell, nine, her kids with Mark Croft, and Dylan after she returned to the UK following her tour Down Under with her bandmate Natasha Hamilton and Liberty X’s Michelle Heaton – who temporarily joined the group to make up the trio in the place of Liz McClarnon for the three weeks’ worth of shows in Australia and New Zealand.

OHMYGOSSIP — Seth Meyers always dreamed of being an actor.
The 43-year-old American comedian was desperate to get his big break and star in a movie when he was younger, but swiftly decided against it when “really good actors”, including Jason Sudeikis and Andy Samberg, came onto the entertainment scene because he felt they were “better” than him.
Speaking about his career to The Guardian newspaper, the ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’ host said: “I was very much aiming to go into movies eventually, like a lot of SNL (‘Saturday Night Live’) people. But, soon after I arrived, all these really good actors started, like Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Jason Sudeikis and Andy Samberg, and I thought: ‘If I were casting a movie, I would put all of them in it over me.’ I thought I was an excellent writer, but I knew they were better at acting than me.”
The funnyman has praised his parents, Lawrence and Hilary, for bringing him up to have “good taste”, which he believes is an essential trait one has to have instilled in them at birth to be a great comedian.
Seth – who has 10-month-old son Ashe with his wife Alexi – explained: “[I came from] a super-loving and supportive family, which I know is not where comedians are supposed to come from.
“I think the greatest gift your parents can give you if you want to be a comedian is good taste. Once you’ve watched ‘Monty Python’, you can’t watch ‘Full House’.
However, Seth also believes “everyone” owes “an enormous debt” to Jon Stewart and ‘The Daily Show’ because it has made people speak openly about an array of topics.
He said: “I feel like everyone you mentioned owes an enormous debt to Jon Stewart’s ‘Daily Show, because I think that started this trend of people having talk shows where they have a point of view that they’re not afraid to share.”
