Sir Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman shed tear at Logan screening

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman shed a tear watching ‘Logan’.
The 76-year-old star has appeared as Professor Charles Xavier alongside Hugh – who plays Wolverine – in a string of movies and admits it was very humbling watching the final movie together.
He said: “A week ago, Friday night in Berlin, the three of us sat, watching the movie. And I was so moved by it, much more moved than I had been the first time of seeing it.
“Maybe it was the company of these two guys, but the movie ended and – this is an admission – but at one point [Hugh] reached out, and he took my hand in those last few minutes, and I saw him go like this, and then I realised I had just done the same thing. Then, the movie ended and we were going to be taken up on stage, but not until the credits were over.”
And the ‘X‑Men: Days of Future Past’ star says the poignant moment made him realise that he is “done” with the character as he doesn’t feel there would be a more “beautiful way of saying au revoir” to Professor X.
Speaking to Sirius XM, he added: “So, we had some time to sit there and, as I sat there I realised there will never be a better, a more perfect, a more sensitive, emotional, and beautiful way of saying au revoir to Charles Xavier than this movie. So, I told [Hugh] that same evening, ‘I’m done too. It’s all over.'”
Meanwhile, Patrick recently admitted he felt emotional playing Professor Xavier for the final time in ‘Logan’.
Asked if he felt emotional whilst making the film, he admitted: “There were moments during production, yeah. There’s a moment in the first scene when I very tenderly take Hugh Jackman’s face in my hand and then say, ‘What a disappointment you are.’ Ha!
“I was very lucky on this film – my first scene was my opening scene in the movie, my last night’s work was my last scene.”

Viola Davis had 'chip on her shoulder'

OHMYGOSSIP — Viola Davis had a “chip on her shoulder” growing up.
The ‘How To Get Away With Murder’ star felt her “voice as an artist was being stifled” when she attended Juilliard.
Speaking as she collected the 2017 Artist of the Year award during Harvard’s Cultural Rhythms Festival, she said: “I spent so many years at Juilliard just wanting to beat somebody up. I think it was the height of my anger; that chip on my shoulder.
“I’m still trying to take care of that chip on my shoulder, by the way. It was mainly because I felt my voice as an artist was being stifled.”
Meanwhile, the 51-year-old actress previously admitted she “fears” her daughter Genesis will grow up to be “entitled”.
She said: “You just listed my number one fear, which is entitlement. I never had a house; I do shop at Target, I buy all her clothes at Target or H&M. And maybe, if I’m feeling really good, Nordstrom Rack.”
And Viola says her husband Julius Tennon helps her keep Genesis grounded as he always “holds her accountable” for the things she does.
She added: “Julius is really tough. He has two beautiful children and seven grandkids. I came into a relationship where he already had children and grandchildren and raised his kids on his own, so he’s tough — he toes the line, but in a very loving way.
“He holds her accountable. Me, not so much — I’m the softie. Really, entitlement. Listen, there are poor kids who are entitled. So I pray.”
And Viola decided to have a child with her husband because she wanted her life to “mean something deeper”.
She shared: “I wanted my life to mean and be something deeper. That’s when the urge came, and the urge was just very, very, very, strong. So I have a kid now and she is just the light of our lives.”

Mel B's father passes away after cancer battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B’s father has passed away.
The former Spice Girl took to social media on Sunday (05.03.17) to announce the tragic news that her dad Martin had passed away over the weekend after a five year battle with cancer.
In a statement posted to her Instagram account, Mel wrote: “It is with great sadness after a 5yr battle to multiple myeloma cancer our loving father Martin Brown passed away age 63 peacefully yesterday.
“Both of us his children were by his side and would like to say thank you to St Gemma’s and all the doctors and nurses for there amazing care and support over the years.
“Please respect our privacy and let us as a united family grieve. With love and respect. Melanie and Danielle Brown x Be Free Dad (sic)”
Mel is said to have had a fractious relationship with her mother and sister in the past after they reportedly fell out over her relationship with her then-boyfriend Stephen Belafonte, who she later married.
However, it seems they have put their differences aside and recently spent some quality time together in London while Mel was in the British capital to film a TV show.
Asked how her and her mother got on, Mel said: “Yes, she came down yesterday, saw the kids and watched the show. Then we hung out and went for dinner with the kids.”
And Mel says she is also back in contact with her sister Danielle too.
Asked if they have been able to reconnect, she added: “Yes. Family is family. There’s no point talking about that.”
It comes after Mel’s mother Andrea once claimed she only found out via social media that Mel was pregnant with her daughter Madison in 2011.
She said at the time: “I only found out she was pregnant because of Twitter and I found out on Twitter that she’d had the baby too.”

Kristen Stewart didn't 'hide' her relationship

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristen Stewart never “hid” her relationship with Robert Pattinson.
The ‘Twilight’ star insists she never deliberately kept her romance with her co-star a secret but just wanted something that was hers to stay that way.
She said: “I wasn’t hiding anything. I didn’t talk about my first relationships that went public because I wanted things that are mine to be mine.
“I hated it that details of my life were being turned into a commodity and peddled around the world.”
However, the 26-year-old actress has now realised how her private life can affect others too.
She told The Sunday Times’ Culture magazine: “But considering I had so many eyes on me, I suddenly realised [my private life] affects a greater number of people than just me. It was an opportunity to surrender a bit of what was mine, to make even one other person feel good about themselves.
“If it didn’t seem like a relevant topic like something that needed help, I would have kept my life private for ever. But then I can’t walk outside holding somebody’s hand, as I’m followed everywhere.
“When I was dating Rob, the public were the enemy – and that is no way to live. It wasn’t this grand statement, ‘I was so confused! Now I’ve realised who I am!’ I have not been struggling. It just seemed important, and topical.”
Meanwhile,Kristen previously admitted she felt “uncomfortable” having her personal life made public as a teenager.
She explained: “It was something I really invested in. It mattered to so many people. Something personal became the most personal thing, which is awesome because to share this is great, but at the same time I was 17 or 18 when it all kind of went down and that’s the most uncomfortable, terrible, weird … You’re 17-years-old and like ahh. But at the same time, it was good. It kind of forced me to stand at attention in this way.”

Emma Watson 'confused' by Vanity Fair shoot critics

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Watson is “very confused” by the criticism of her Vanity Fair photoshoot.
The ‘Beauty And The Beast’ star posed in a open crochet top and white lace skirt for a cover interview for the magazine and has hit back at her critics who say she is devaluing feminism by posing in the outfit.
She told BBC News: “Feminism is about giving women choice. Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women. It’s about freedom, its about liberation. It’s about equality.
“I don’t know what my t**s have to do with it. It’s very confusing. Most people are confused. I’m always just kind of quietly stunned. They were saying that I couldn’t be a feminist and have boobs.”
Meanwhile, Emma recently confessed criticism has “really toughened” her up.
She said: “There is a level of criticism that comes with being an actress and a public figure, which I expect but once you take a stance on something like feminism, that’s a completely different ball game. It really toughened me up.”
Emma has been an advocate for women’s rights for years but has never professed she knows everything about feminism.
The 26-year-old actress has had numerous approaches to write a book on the topic but insists she won’t be doing so until later in life.
She added: “I need to see and do a bit more first. It’s not like I have been reading this material for years and I don’t have an encyclopaedic knowledge. It can be a lot of pressure sometimes, as people expect me to know so much.
“I’m no expert, and when people push me into a corner of ‘Here’s Emma Watson to lecture you on feminism’, it’s uncomfortable because I am aware I have a long way to go. I am not sure I deserve all the respect I get yet, but I’m working on it.”

Zara Larsson: Female pop stars can 'never win'

OHMYGOSSIP — Zara Larsson thinks female pop stars can “never win”.
The ‘Lush Life’ hitmaker believes men get away with more “bad things” than women do and has slammed these double standards.
She said: “Just those typical ‘bad’ ones, ‘bad girls’ doing ‘bad things’, when an equal number of men are doing the same things. Look at all those rock stars from way back!
“Female pop stars can never win, especially when it comes to being sexy, or not sexy, and whether you are owning this, or being owned. You know, looking at Beyoncé, she is owning her sexuality, especially in Lemonade. But it’s also like, when she and Jay Z are performing together, why aren’t you in a bathing suit, Jay?”
And the 19-year-old singer still sticks by her comment that she is a “man hater” but insists she is referring to male oppression rather than individual men.
She added: “I love men, and that’s the problem. Women in general, or the world, love men and everything they do, and the world hates women.
“But if I hate men, just let me hate them and let me be! You know what I mean? I’m not mean to them.”
And Zara looks up to the likes of Beyonce and Rihanna.
She told The Sunday Times’ Culture magazine: “My goal is just to do it the RiRi way, to release an album a year, stay relevant.”
Meanwhile, Zara previously admitted she doesn’t think Taylor Swift is opinionated enough.
She said: “I think it’s lame to hate on Taylor. I saw people hating on her for talking about the Women’s March and not going. I feel like, yeah, totally, that sucks – you’ve got to put your money where your mouth is. But it’s not really a problem to me.
“Women are being raped, beaten up, killed. LGBTQ people are being killed for loving who they want to love. And Muslims can’t get into America because they’re Muslims. There are so many problems going on in the world. Is it really worth focusing on Taylor Swift and if she’s a real feminist or not?
“I would like her feminism to be a little bit more inclusive – more intersectional. Because she does have a lot of followers and can make a difference. She’s being very nice on every subject, because I feel like she doesn’t want to step on anyone’s toes.
“She could have Trump supporters who are her fans, and maybe she doesn’t want to offend them. She’s like, ‘Yeah, feminism!’ but then does it actually say anything, maybe? As long as her intentions are good.”

James McAvoy's driving mishap

OHMYGOSSIP — James McAvoy drove on film sets for “six years” without a licence.
The 37-year-old actor had to jump behind the wheel for some of his earlier roles but admits he did so without having a valid driving licence.
He said: “I drove a Jag without a driver’s licence. I played a car thief in ‘Shameless’ and no one ever asked me if I had a driver’s licence. I didn’t get one until six years later.”
And James has confessed he hasn’t had much luck with driving over the years.
He added: “I have a clean driver’s licence now but I had a provisional license just for driving a 125 scooter and got 11 points on my provisional licence.
“I got stopped and the policeman said, ‘I’ll probably let you off’ and his partner was saying, ‘No way no way.’ So they put me in the back of their car and made me feel like a drug dealer.”
And the ‘X‑Men: Apocalypse’ star also recalled how he managed to “knacker” a Porsche 911 after driving it in Berlin whilst filming ‘The Coldest City’.
Speaking to Matt LeBlanc on British motoring show ‘Top Gear’, he said: “The idea is the tail is still sliding as I come out of the car and I look cool as a cucumber. We nail it and did it again and again and again.
“But then we knackered the car. I pulled the hand brake and nothing happened. Which was fine – I could just slow the car down. But before I could the camera crew, and camera and the track and the [camera] dolly are all zooming towards me and I managed to whip them out. Luckily the crew managed to get out of the way just in time.”

Dan Stevens' Downton apology

OHMYGOSSIP — Dan Stevens is still sorry for how he left ‘Downton Abbey’.
The ‘Beauty and the Beast’ actor left the popular TV drama in 2012 – when his character Matthew Crawley was killed off in a car accident – and Dan revealed people are still upset about it.
The 34-year-old star, who quit to forge a Hollywood career, told the Sunday Mirror: “I’m still apologising to people now.
“The way Matthew went was out of my hands – but it was rather shocking. There were some very upset people and I’ve had to apologise to a lot of ¬people over the past four years.
“But I take it as a compliment that Matthew was so loved on the show.
“I’ve done a lot since then though – so hopefully people are seeing what I have been up to and are beginning to understand why I wanted to move on.”
Dan recently spoke of his joy at getting to take on one of Disney’s most famous characters, The Beast.
He said: “It was all done by CGI. It was motion capture, puppeteering, the suit… and then the face was done separately using a different technology.
“So when I was on set, I was on stilts in a big muscle suit covered in Lycra. Everything else looked gorgeous, Emma Watson was beautiful, the sets were incredible… and there’s me just sweating away!
“And over the months I’ve seen it emerge – the guys at ¬Disney putting every digital hair on my digital face.
“To portray one of the great characters from great fairytales and bring it to life was amazing.”

Kate Moss pictures stolen by hackers

OHMYGOSSIP — Naked pictures of Kate Moss have reportedly been stolen.
Intimate photographs – taken on the 43-year-old’s model’s wedding day in 2011 – including pictures of Kate getting changed before tying the knot with Jamie Hince, are believed to have been stolen from her computer files by hackers.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday: “Kate will be fuming about this. Even though she has now split with Jamie, this set of photos is still really close to her heart and they are very, very private.
“Kate is obviously no stranger to getting her clothes off for photo-shoots, but these images were different. Some were only meant for Jamie.”
Meanwhile, Kate – who was discovered at a New York airport when she was just 14 – recently admitted she “doesn’t like” her body, despite posing naked a number of times throughout her career.
Kate said: “From the beginning, photographers always got me to take my clothes off, even though I don’t like my body at all. I just had to get comfortable with being naked.”
Despite her reputation as a party girl, Kate – who has 14-year-old daughter Lila with former partner Jefferson Hack – insists she is always professional and does her best to please the photographers she is working with.
She said: “I want to please the person behind the camera. I’m a hard worker. And I like the process of creating an image…
“People always expect me to be late. But I’ve always been on time. Especially for photo shoots.”

Louis Tomlinson defended by celebrity pals

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Tomlinson’s famous friends have defended him after he was arrested at LAX.
The 25-year-old singer was taken into police custody after an altercation with a paparazzo at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday (03.03.17) but Louis’ celebrity pals insist it was a “wrongful arrest”.
‘Late Late Show’ producer Ben Winston, who has directed a number of One Direction music videos, tweeted: “Shocked @Louis_Tomlinson was arrested. Vid clearly shows he pulls 2 girls off his gf & a pap trips. Even asks staff for help.Wrongful arrest (sic).”
And Louis’ ‘Just Hold On’ collaborator Steve Aoki tweeted: “Wish the paparazzi respected personal space. U can still do your job without having to put your camera literally in someone’s face (sic).”
The incident occurred at baggage claim at LAX, when Louis tried to stop a paparazzo from taking pictures of his girlfriend Eleanor Calder.
As he tussled with the photographer, Louis tripped and appeared to accidentally drag the snapper to the floor with him, with the man claiming he hit his head.
And the situation deteriorated when two female fans got into a physical altercation with Louis’ girlfriend.
In video obtained by RadarOnline, Louis can be heard shouting “What the hell is happening?” and “Can we get some help?” before rushing over to help Eleanor, who was pushed into a corner by the two females.
Airport security then intervened and Louis and Eleanor walked away.
Louis was later arrested and booked for simple battery. He was released on $20.000 bail but is due to appear in court in Los Angeles on March 29.
His lawyer Martin Singer said: “The paparazzi provoked and caused the altercation that occurred with Louis. It’s not the first time that a paparazzi has created an altercation with a celebrity. While the altercation was going on with the paparazzi, three other individuals were attacking his girlfriend during this incident and he came to her defence.”

Ian McShane thought John Hurt would survive cancer

OHMYGOSSIP — Ian McShane always believed his friend John Hurt would make a “miraculous recovery” from cancer.
The 74-year-old actor had been friends with the ‘Elephant Man’ star – who died in January after a battle with pancreatic cancer – since they studied at RADA together and though he had been “expecting” his passing, he was still shocked by the news because he had fought back from the brink many times in the past.
He said: “Oh, Johnny, he was my oldest friend. It was weird, you know, because I’d be expecting [his death] as I knew about his condition.
“But it was still a shock as he’d made a few miraculous recoveries before from near-death experiences, and I thought he was well-picked enough to survive anything.
“I loved him dearly and I miss him a lot. ‘The Wild And the Willing’ was our first role, then we did our first stage play together and made his first television show together.”
Ian has previously spoken candidly about his wild past partying with the likes of John and the late Oliver Reed and George Best, and though he insists his boozing never affected his work, he doesn’t think he could live that life again now.
Asked if his wild ways impacted on his work, he said: “Never. I was what they’d call a very high-functioning [alcoholic]. I’d go to bed at three in the morning, have two hours’ sleep and come out with a page of dialogue. At the time, of course, I thought, ‘Oh, two hours sleep? Perfectly fine.’ Now I’d go, ‘Jesus Christ.’ ”
Read the full interview with Ian in Empire magazine, which is out now.

Tom Jones 'just good friends' with Priscilla Presley

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Tom Jones says he and Priscilla Presley are “just good friends”.
The ‘She’s A Lady’ hitmaker has grown close to the ‘Naked Gun’ actress since his beloved wife Linda died of cancer last year, but insisted they are not in a romantic relationship.
He told the Daily Star Sunday: “Priscilla is a friend of mine. I’ve known her for years. But it’s not true that we’re dating or in a relationship. We are just friends. But good friends.’
Meanwhile, Tom, 76, recently admitted he’s unsure how Priscilla’s late husband Elvis Presley would feel about them spending time together.
The star said: “I really don’t know how Elvis would feel about us having dinner together – he probably wouldn’t be too sure.
“But Elvis was a great man. It’s nice to know that Priscilla and I are still in touch after all this time.”
Tom also revealed that the pair bonded over his song ‘Elvis Presley Blues’ from his 2005 album ‘Long Lost Suitcase’, but that they don’t spend much time talking about music.
He said: “I did a song on my last album called ‘Elvis Presley Blues’ and she liked it because she said it was a beautiful tribute to Elvis and she enjoyed it.
“Musically, that’s about as much as we talk about. But she’s been a friend of mine since 1968 when I first met her with Elvis.”
Explaining their relationship, he added: “We were friends and Elvis passed away of course. But you know, we’ve kept in touch.
“We’ve been in each other’s lives for years and she is one of a bunch of people that I know in Los Angeles and we do hang out.”
Tom and Priscilla, 71 – who previously dated ‘Pop Idol’ boss Nigel Lythgoe for three years and enjoyed a romance with singer Julio Iglesias – first met in 1968 while she was still married to Elvis Presley and remained friends even after the ‘Blue Suede Shoes’ hitmaker passed away in 1977.

Kenny Goss: 'George Michael's body just gave up'

OHMYGOSSIP — Kenny Goss believes George Michael’s body “just gave up”.
The 53-year-old singer was found dead at his home in Oxfordshire, England over Christmas and, while a number of tests are still being carried out to determine the cause of death, George’s former partner Kenny thinks his body failed him.
He told The Sunday Mirror: “I can’t say for sure but I think his body just gave up. All these years, it was just weak.”
Kenny and George split up in 2009 after 15 years together and Kenny revealed the pair had been in constant contact again before George’s death.
He said: “I was speaking to him all the time on the phone. We were in constant contact. He was in good spirits.
“We were together for 15 years and in the gay world that is a long time.
“People used to say we argued but we wouldn’t really. It was always just silly things about who had the remote control.
“When we split up there was no big argument, it was just how it was. It was a lovely relationship. I miss him.”
Texan art dealer Kenny, 58, recently flew to the UK to spend time with George’s family and said they just want to have the funeral, which has been delayed while more tests are carried out to determine the cause of death, as soon as possible.
He said: “It was so great to see them and they are doing as well as can be expected. They are doing good.
“He was very, very close to both of his sisters. I’ll be there for the funeral. We just want closure, we want the funeral to happen, it’s been a long time now.”

Luke Evans approves of being objectified as sex symbol

OHMYGOSSIP — Luke Evans thinks it is a “compliment” to be “objectified” as a sex symbol.
The ‘Beauty and the Beast’ actor is astonished by some of the comments he receives from fans online, and though he acknowledges he’s sometimes been asked to flash the flesh where it wasn’t entirely necessary for a scene, he understands that “sex sells” and his “public persona” needs to be appealing.
He said: “On social media, people are very brave and say things that if they were in a room with you, they probably wouldn’t.
“In terms of being ‘objectified’, there are certain jobs where I’ve been like, ‘There’s no need to do this scene topless.’ But sex sells. I don’t take it too seriously.
“In our business, you have a public persona – fans are going to look at us in roles and maybe objectify us.
“There’s not much you can do about it apart from maybe write an article and have it printed in The Guardian. It’s a compliment and I take it as such.”
The 37-year-old hunk likes “dressing up” for high profile events but isn’t obsessive about having the perfect body underneath his clothes.
He told Glamour magazine: “I do take more pride in my appearance when I’m going to an event. I like dressing up.
“When it comes to working out, I like to be in a semi-fit state, but not every job I do necessarily means I’m going to take my top off.”
Meanwhile, Luke – who plays Gaston in ‘Beauty and the Beast’ – impressed his castmates with his musical abilities on the film.
Dan Stevens, who is Beast/Prince Adam, said: “I watched Luke rehearsing the big Gaston number – and I’m not just saying that because he’s here – it’s one of my favourite scenes in the film.”

Kanye West's 'deep connection' with Caitlyn Jenner

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West spends “hours” talking to Caitlyn Jenner on the phone and the pair share a “deep connection”.
The ‘Famous’ rapper was hospitalised in November amid reports he had suffered a breakdown and he has reportedly turned to the ‘I Am Cait’ star – who, before her transition, was previously married to Kanye’s mother-in-law Kris Jenner – for “counselling” as he gets back on track.
A source told Closer magazine: “Caitlyn has been counselling Kanye over the past few months and they often talk for hours on the phone or at her Malibu home, which has become a refuge for him.
“He feels a deep connection with Caitlyn, who has had bouts of depression and struggled in the limelight, which Kanye can relate to.”
And Caitlyn – who has previously credited Kanye for helping their family be more “open minded” when the Olympian first voiced her intention to transition from Bruce – is urging the 39-year-old musician to focus on his family life with wife Kim Kardashian West and their children North, three, and 14-month-old Saint.
The source added: “Caitlyn knows what it’s like to be in a high-profile marriage and the added pressure of having young kids.
“She’s urged Kanye to spend plenty of time alone with Kim to ensure they don’t let the stress of their public profiles get in the way of their love for one another.”
Caitlyn, 67, has previously spoken of the strong bond she shares with Kanye.
She said: “Kanye and I get along very well. He treats Kim very well, that’s what I care about. He’s always been a good dad with the kids.
“He’s been very good when it comes to my issues. He just loves me to death.”

Orlando Bloom 'wasn't ready to settle down' with Katy Perry

OHMYGOSSIP — Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom reportedly split up because he wasn’t ready to settle down.
The pair recently ended their almost year-long romance and sources close to the pair say Orlando, 40 – who has son Flynn, six, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, didn’t want to get too serious.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: “Katy and Orlando had a great time together.
“It was a great healing process for Orlando following his divorce from Miranda. But Katy and Orlando discovered they were on different pages.
“Katy wants children and to get married, while Orlando has been there and done that.
“At 32, Katy doesn’t want to waste any more time. It became a strain.”
Katy married comedian Russell Brand in 2010, but he filed for divorce in 2011.
The 32-year-old star took to Twitter following her split with Orlando to insist that the pair were still friends.
She wrote: “HOW BOUT A NEW WAY OF THINKING FOR 2017 U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one’s a victim or a villain, get a life y’all! (sic)”
And the pair are also said to have split up after the relationship because “more and more work”.
A source shared: “It just became more and more work to make it work. Because this wasn’t something permanent, it just became time to take a break.”
And another insider added: “There was nothing dramatic or over the top. Katy’s going through a lot of changes for her new music – both physically and emotionally – and this was a part of that.”
Katy and Orlando announced their split in a joint statement where they revealed they would be “taking [a] respectful, loving space at this time”.
They said: “Before falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.”
