Chris Pratt reveals how his daughters ‘control’ him: ‘I want them to have power over people…’

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pratt’s daughters know “exactly what to do to control” him.
The 44-year-old actor has Lyla, three, and Eloise – who will turn two on Tuesday (21.05.24) – with Katherine Schwarzenegger and admitted that after his wife planned all the celebrations, his little girls have a certain “power” offer him that he wants them to take on into later life.
He told US TV show ‘Extra’: “Katherine does an amazing job planning parties… We had bunnies and chickens and ducks, an amazing cake and balloons and a bouncy house. All her friends came. It was so cute, it was so sweet — they ate pizza and listened to music. It was so fun!
“They got my number. They know exactly what to do to control me, and that’s good. I want them to be able to have the power over people.
“Katherine is very good; she can get what she wants out of them, they get what they want out of me.”
Meanwhile, the Holywood star – who also has 11-year-old son Jack with ex-wife Anna Faris – has just voiced the title role in ‘The Garfield Movie’ – which is based on the famed orange tabby cat – and joked that Katherine was “used” to the lazy demeanor he embodied while trying to bring the character to life.
He said: “The prep on ‘Garfield’ was glorious — so much lasagna, so much pizza, so much bathing myself with my own tongue. Katherine’s used to that by now… I have been researching this role my whole life, just lying around eating.
“My girls haven’t seen it yet. It might just be the first movie that my youngest has ever seen… It’s still funny for, truly, kids of all ages.”

Pierce Brosnan reflects on turning 71: ‘Where does the time go these days?’

OHMYGOSSIP — Pierce Brosnan wondered “where the time goes” as he reflected on turning 71.
The former ‘007’ actor celebrated his birthday last Thursday (16.05.24) and took to social media four days later to spread message of “life, kindness and precious time” as he reflected on how fast time has gone.
He wrote on Instagram: “Brand new day. Thank you one and all for your rewarding words of celebration for my work and my seventy first birthday last week. Where does the time go these days? It goes with the speed of flame. Love life, kindness and precious time be with us all. Peace.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Mamma Mia!’ star recently revealed that he started painting an “essential” form of “therapy” after his first wife Cassandra Harris, died of cancer in 1991 and he’s found it a great outlet for self-expression and a way of processing his thoughts and feelings ever since.
Asked how painting helped him, he told Sunday Times Style magazine: “That’s a broad question to answer. I don’t think I can be succinct.
“Art has been cathartic and continues to be therapy and self-expression when it comes to inner turmoil, grief or joy. Art has been essential as I have got older. For me it has been the most exciting aspect of my creative life over the past few years.”
Pierce admitted he always dreamed of being a “famous” movie star, and though his ambitions are not as “intense” as they used to be, he still loves his job.
He said: “There always was a desire to be in movies. Movies captivated me and so I found a toehold in Los Angeles and grasped that with every energy I had. I came to America in 1982 with the intention of creating a life for myself.
“I wanted to be famous! A movie star. That was a dream. A romantic dream. A deep and burning ambition. And, of course, it doesn’t have the same intensity now, but I enjoy making movies. I’m asked, ‘You’re still acting?’ Yes! At 70!”
But Pierce – who had Sean, Chris, and the late Charlotte with Cassandra, and Paris and Dylan with wife Keely Shaye Smith – insisted he doesn’t live a Hollywood lifestyle.
He said: “I get up and go to work as an actor.
“I open the suitcase, put the character on, finish work and go home. And then, of course, the movie comes out and the profile comes out, but we’ve long been in the spotlight and you learn to acquit yourself.”

Drake Bell reveals what inspired him to speak out about his sexual assault in Quiet On Set

OHMYGOSSIP — Drake Bell decided to speak out about his sexual abuse in the hopes that he will become a “hero” to his son.
The 37-year-old actor was a teen star on Nickelodeon in the early 2000s and recently opened up about how he had been a victim of dialect coach Brian Peck during his time on ‘The Amanda Show’ when he appeared in the docuseries ‘Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV’.
Now, the former ‘Drake and Josh’ star – who has two-year-old son Wyatt with his ex-wife Janet Von Schmeling – admitted when asked if fatherhood inspired him to speak out, that was indeed the case.
Speaking on ‘The Today Show’, he said: “Yeah. As he grows, my hope is that he’ll be able to say ‘Yeah, my dad did go through that, and the man that I know today, is a hero to me.'”
In 2004, Peck pleaded no contest to a charge of oral copulation with a minor under 16 as well as a charge of performing a lewd act with a 14 or 15-year-old. Bell was the plaintiff but his identity as the victim was not made public at the time.
Peck spent 16 months in prison and was mandated to register as a sex offender.
Drake admitted that things had been “spiralling out of control” in various aspects of his life and he also thought that by putting himself on camera in the documentary he had also hoped to help those who may have been in a similar situation as he admitted he had used the lyrics of his upcoming album ‘Non-Stop Flight’ to explore his trauma.
He said: “Things were spiralling out of control for me personally and mentally. I thought it would help in the healing process and also help others who have gone through similar situations. It’s hard because if I try to go to talk to that little boy with all of that going through my head and my mind, what am I gonna tell him?
“What I’ve learned is that you’re not alone. I was thinking that I was alone in all this and now I get to see all of that in a clear picture. I get to go back and talk to that little boy.
“Now I’m able to go back to him and hold him and tell him that it’s gonna be okay, you’re gonna find strength. This is something that happened to me. This isn’t me.”
Drake landed his first job on the network in 1999, when he joined the cast of ‘The Amanda Show’ alongside Amanda Bynes and later landed the comedy ‘Drake and Josh alongside Josh Peck (no relation), but Brian quickly became the teen star’s manager, and Drake would often spend the night at his house as he recalled waking up “in shock” one evening to find Brian, now 63, assaulting him.
Recalling the abuse, Bell said: “Brian and I became really close because we had a lot of the same interests, which looking back, I think that was probably a little calculated.
“I was sleeping on the couch where I usually sleep and I woke up to him… I opened my eyes and I woke up and he was…he was sexually assaulting me,
“And I froze, and was in complete shock and had no idea what to do or how to react.
“You know anytime I had an audition or anytime I needed to work on dialogue or anything, I somehow ended up back at Brian’s house.
“And it just got worse, and worse, and worse, and worse, and I was just trapped. I had no way out. The abuse was extensive and it got pretty brutal.”

Thank goodness for Zoom and Facetime. For parents who are gone a lot, that has been really helpful. Just finding the time we can connect and see each other in person or get him with the kids.
“We’ve never done this before with two, I’m exhausted. There’s been four shows. I don’t know how he’s gonna do it or how we’re gonna do it but we’re gonna get through it, somehow, some way!”

Speaking on her ‘Let’s Be Clear’ podcast during a Q +A segment, she said: “I regret it in one sense. I regret it for the fans. But I don’t regret it for me, because I was so incredibly wrecked from getting fired that, I think, even years, years. years later, had I walked on that set, and I think it just would’ve stirred everything back up for me. She said: “We didn’t mean to, but we’ve been backed into this corner — we’re basically in this position where it’s one or the other. We were told [by Alyssa] it’s her or [Shannen], and Alyssa has threatened to sue us for a hostile workplace environment.”

Scarlett Johansson ‘angered’ by OpenAI chatbot with ‘eerily similar’ voice to her own

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Johansson is “shocked” and “angered” after OpenAI launched a chatbot with an “eerily similar” voice to her own.
The 39-year-old actress has revealed she previously rejected an approach by the company behind ChatGPT to lend her voice to its new chatbot Sky, which launched last week with people drawing comparisons to its tone and Scarlett’s in 2013 movie ‘Her’.
In a lengthy statement through her rep, she said: “Last September, I received an offer from [OpenAI CEO] Sam Altman, who wanted to hire me to voice the current ChatGPT 4.0 system.
“He told me that he felt that by my voicing the system, I could bridge the gap between tech companies and creatives and help consumers to feel comfortable with the seismic shift concerning humans and AI.
“He said he felt that my voice would be comforting to people. After much consideration and for personal reasons, I declined the offer.
“Nine months later, my friends, family and the general public all noted how much the newest system named ‘Sky’ sounded like me.”
Scarlett admitted she was left “shocked” and “angered” by the apparent similarities.
She continued: “When I heard the released demo, I was shocked, angered and in disbeleief that Mr. Altman would pursue a voice that sounded to eerily similar to mine that my closest friends and news outlets could not tell the difference.
“Mr. Altman even insinuated that the similarity was intentional, tweeting a single word ‘her’ – a reference to the film in which I voiced a chat system, Samantha, who forms an intimate relationship with a human.”
She claimed that Altman contacted her agent days before the demo was released and asked her to “reconsider”.
She said: “Before we could connect, the system was out there..
“As a result of their actions, I was forced to hire legal counsel, who wrote two letters to Mr. Altman and OpenAI, setting out what they had done and asking them to detail the exact process by which they created the ‘Sky’ voic.
“Consequently, OpenAI reluctantly agreed to take down the ‘Sky’ voice.”
Taking aim at the general rise of artificial intelligence, Scarlett insisted the public “deserves absolute clarity”.
She explained: “In a time when we are all grappling with deepfakes and the protection of our own likeness, our own work, our own identities, I believe these are questions that deserve absolute clarity.
“I look forward to resolution in the form of transparency and the passage of appropriate legislation to help ensure that individual rights are protected.”
In a statement to The Verge, Altman said: “The voice of Sky is not Scarlett Johansson’s, and it was never intended to resemble hers.
“We cast the voice actor behind Sky’s voice before any outreach to Ms. Johansson.
“Out of respect for Ms. Johansson, we have paused using Sky’s voice in our products. We are sorry to Ms. Johansson that we didn’t communicate better.”

Riley Keough challenges ‘fraudulent’ foreclosure auction of Elvis Presley’s Graceland home

OHMYGOSSIP — Riley Keough has claimed a foreclosure auction of her grandfather Elvis Presley’s iconic Graceland home is “fraudulent”.
On Thursday (23.05.24), the famous Memphis property is due to be sold to the highest bidder by Naussany Investments and Private Lending LLC, who allege Riley’s late mother and Graceland’s previous owner Lisa Marie Presley signed a Deed of Trust, using Graceland as collateral, to secure a $3.8 million loan which she is said to have failed to repay before her death in January 2023.
According to a 60-page lawsuit obtained by PEOPLE, the 34-year-old actress alleges “the note and deed of trust are fraudulent and unenforceable”, and she also claims Naussany Investments and Private Lending LLC is “not a real entity”.
Riley, who is a trustee of the Promenade Trust, claims in the lawsuit: “The purported note and deed of trust are products of fraud and those individuals who were involved in the creation of such documents are believed to be guilty of the crime of forgery.
“On information and belief, Naussany Investments and Private Lending LLC is not a real entity. Naussany Investments and Private Lending LLC appears to be a false entity created for the purpose of defrauding the Promenade Trust, the heirs of Lisa Marie Presley, or any purchaser of Graceland at a non-judicial sale.”
The lawsuit includes the Deed of Trust, and documents of the alleged loan to her late mother, who passed away aged 54.
Riley also says in the papers: “These documents are fraudulent.
“Lisa Marie Presley never borrowed money from Naussany Investments and never gave a deed of trust to Naussany Investments.”
On Tuesday (21.05.24), Lisa’s mother Priscilla Presley took to Instagram to post a picture of the late King of Rock and Roll’s beloved residence, and she posted: “It’s a scam”.
An injunction hearing is set to take place on Wednesday (22.05.24), after a temporary restraining order on the sale was granted on Monday (20.05.24).
Riley was named sole trustee of her late mum’s estate in August after a fierce legal battle with her grandmother Priscilla, 78, who had Lisa Marie during her tortured six-year marriage to Elvis from 1967 to 1973.
The ‘Daisy Jones and the Six’ actress was also granted ownership of Graceland, where her grandad Elvis was buried following his death aged 42 in 1977, after years of tranquiliser pills abuse.
Riley is reported to have paid her grandmother more than $1 million before they settled their legal dispute in June 2023.
Their battle started after Lisa Marie’s death when Priscilla contested “the authenticity and validity” of her late daughter’s will.
