OHMYGOSSIP — Becky Hill kept her sexual assault to herself for eight years because she thought no one would believe her.
The 30-year-old singer revealed she was violated by a male friend when she was 21, and has now opened up about her “healing” experience in her new single ‘True Colours’, which she produced with 37-year-old musician Self Esteem – whose real name is Rebecca Taylor.
During an interview with Glamour UK, she said: “I’ve always classed myself as a strong b****.
“I like to think I can take a lot of s***, but with that, it felt like something had left me that will never come back.
“I’ll never get that bit back of me. That moment will stay with me for the rest of my life.”
After she was assaulted, the ‘Lose Control’ chart-topper admitted she tried to “push it under the carpet”, but ultimately decided to report the crime after it had been “eating away” at her for eight years.
Becky explained she wanted to tell her story because she felt it could be “powerful” for her future children to hear if they were ever involved in a similar situation.
She said: “With rape and sexual assault, the numbers on reporting are so low that I wanted to be able to sit with my future children and if, God forbid, the same happens to them, say, ‘You know what? When I was your age, I went to the police and reported it, and it was really powerful for me.'”
The ‘Never Be Alone’ hitmaker explained she wanted the track to feel “angry” instead of reflecting the grief she went through.
She said: “I didn’t want it to come across sad, or vulnerable. I wanted it to be angry. I wanted to make a real angry bop.”
The singer said she felt “let down by the education system” because she was “never taught” about the subject matter.
Still, Becky hopes her transparency over her sexual assault will help to ensure “the conversation stays open”.
She shared: “I’m hoping that things will begin to change a bit, and people will be able to talk about this stuff more openly without a degree of shame on themselves, and with the onus back on the perpetrators.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Cassie Ventura has thanked people for their “love and support” following the release of video footage of her being assaulted by then-boyfriend Sean ‘Diddy Combs’.
The 54-year-old rapper was seen in a surveilance video released by CNN on 17 May launching a brutal attack on the 37-year-old singer at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016, and the ‘Me + U’ hitmaker has now spoken out to reflect on how the abuse she allegedly experienced “broke [her] down”.
She wrote in a statement shared to Instagram: “Thank you for all of the love and support from my family, friends, strangers and those I have yet to meet.
“The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning. Domestic Violence is THE issue.
“It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past.”
Cassie went on to urge people to believe what victims tell them and offered her own support to those who are “living in fear” and isolation.
She continued: “Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to take this matter seriously. My only ask is that EVERYONE open your heart to believing victims the first time. It takes a lot of heart to tell the truth out of a situation that you were powerless in.
“I offer my hand to those that are still living in fear.
“Reach out to your people, don’t cut them off. No one should carry this weight alone,” she concluded. “This healing journey is never ending but this support means everything to me. Thank you.

Days after the video was released, Diddy admitted he was “truly sorry” for his “inexcusable” behaviour.
He said: “I was f****** up. I mean I hit rock bottom but I make no excuses. My behaviour on that video is inexcusable.
“I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it and I’m disgusted now.”
Revealing how he sought help after the 2016 assault, he added: “I went and I sought out professional help and had to go to therapy, had to go to rehab.
“Had to ask God for his mercy and grace.
“I’m so sorry. I’m committed to being a better man each and every day.
“I’m truly sorry.”
Diddy was hit with allegations including physical abuse by Cassie in a November 2023 lawsuit, which he settled out of court a day after it was lodged.

The 74-year-old actor – who has daughter Sophia from his previous marriage to Cathleen Lyons and a young son with his wife Beth Skipp – initially believed he was “ready to go” when he received the shock diagnosis in 2018 but admitted that his family served as a catalyst for him electing for life-saving surgery.
He told People: “I thought. well, this is my time. I’m ready to go. But then my son came to mind just a few seconds later and I heard myself saying, ‘I’ve got a nine-year-old and I’d like to be around for him. Is there any way I can get a little more life going?’.
“It had to be contained quickly. I had to go for the full surgery. If I hadn’t, I probably would have been dead in about eight months.”
The former ‘Fridays’ star has been mostly out of the spotlight since the years when he was known globally for his role as Cosmo Kramer on the classic sitcom ‘Seinfeld’ but has now decided to put his story in a memoir titled ‘Entrances and Exits’ because he wanted to be able to “connect” with his memory and do a “full review” of his life as he joked he was “surprised2 at how much he actually remembered in the writing process.

The ‘Lust for Life’ hitmaker finds it very relaxing to have a soak in the tub, and he’s even got a rubber duck to keep him company while he’s wallowing in the water.
Appearing alongside Troye Sivan to talk about pleasure at a live listening party at the Magnum beach in Cannes, Iggy said: “I like baths, sometimes with a rubber duck…and bubbles, yeah definitely bubbles!”
The 77-year-old singer always finds the time every day to find a moment of pleasure, and gets “upset” if he realises he hasn’t done anything he enjoys.
He said: “Sometimes I get really upset if it’s getting late in the day and I think to myself that I haven’t done anything I really like. And music is what gives me pleasure you know, well music and the sea. That’s my default setting, so I’m always putting my pleasure first.”
Iggy previously admitted he feels his career – which has spanned more than five decades – has become “physically harder” but as time has gone on but has also become “easier” in all other aspects.

The 26-year-old singer was crowned as the Songwriter of The Year during the awards ceremony at Grosvenor House in London.
Raye was hailed by the Ivor judges as the “voice of a generation” following the release of ‘My 21st Century Blues’, her debut studio album.
Lana Del Rey won the Special International Ivor Novello Award.

Meanwhile, Bernie Taupin won the award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music.
The 74-year-old star is best-known for his songwriting partnership with Sir Elton John, having had a huge influence on the record-breaking star’s career since the 60s.
The Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection went to KT Tunstall.
The 48-year-old star previously won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song in 2006, when she was recognised for her hit single ‘Suddenly I See’.
Tom Gray, the chairman of the Ivors Academy, has heaped praise on all of the award winners, hailing their “extraordinary work”.
Tom said: “On behalf of the Ivors Academy and all the songwriters and composers we represent, it’s an honour to recognise extraordinary work and brilliant individuals behind it.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharon Osbourne is surprised that ‘The Talk’ survived for 15 seasons.
The 71-year-old star – who appeared on the show between 2010 and 2021 – has confessed to being surprised by the longevity of the daytime TV talk-show.
Speaking on ‘The Osbournes’ podcast, Sharon shared: “It took way longer than I thought, even though they were losing money on it, because the advertising was down because they were losing viewers … they were propping it up.”
Sharon left the show in 2021, after she defended Piers Morgan’s comments about the Duchess of Sussex.
Earlier this year, it was announced that ‘The Talk’ will finish at the end of 2024, and Sharon is glad that the production team have been given some warning by their bosses.
She said: “The only good thing is, is that they gave them a good heads up so they’ve got time to find something. It wasn’t like, ‘Oh, well, you’re not coming back after the summer.'”
In April, CBS announced that ‘The Talk’ will end in December 2024.
The long-running TV talk-show was renewed for a 15th and final season, with CBS confirming that ‘The Talk’ will receive a “proper sendoff” before the end of the year.
In a joint statement, CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach and David Stapf, the CBS Studios president, said: “‘The Talk’ broke new ground when it launched 14 years ago by returning daytime talk to CBS with a refreshing and award-winning format.
“Throughout the years, it has been a key programme on CBS’ top rated daytime line-up as it brought timely, important and entertaining topics and discussions into living rooms around the globe.”
The CBS bosses also recognised the contributions of the show’s co-hosts.

The 60-year-old star has revealed that she’s had a “consistent” approach to her workout routine since she was a teenager.
Lisa – who tries to workout five says a week – told Us Weekly: “I’ve had the same fitness routine since I was 16. It started with Jazzercise and I’ve been consistent about working out ever since.”
Lisa relies on yoga and dancing as a means of keeping fit, while she also enjoys hikes, spinning and Pilates.
The actress – who played Taylor McBride on the TV drama series ‘Melrose Place’ – also has a strict approach to her diet, revealing that she always eats “in moderation”.
Earlier this month, meanwhile, Lisa revealed that she feels “unstoppable”.
The TV star explained that she’s as confident and as ambitious as she’s ever been, in spite of her age.
Lisa told PEOPLE: “I think I’m unstoppable.
“I think I can do pretty much whatever I want to do. And I think everybody is unstoppable, and everyone can do what they want to do. You just got to believe it, manifest it and say, ‘I’m going to do this.'”
Despite this, Lisa acknowledged that she’s been surprised by some of her recent successes, which include signing with a modelling agency.

The 45-year-old star stopped dating for 12 months, in a bid to break a pattern of bad relationships, and Kate now admits that it proved to be a turning point in her life.
The blonde beauty – who is currently engaged to Danny Fujikawa – told the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast: “I had this one sort of breakthrough that was very emotional that I don’t think I would have been able to access if I had any distractions.
“It allowed me to see things much more clearly and then within six months, I didn’t care about my phone. I didn’t care if I was going out with my girlfriend, like, I wonder if so and so is going to be there, or like, we should call up so and so and then do that.
“There was no desire for me to be doing anything that had anything to do with potential flirtation.”
Kate still has fond memories of being single.
She said: “I was so happy single. I was single for like three and a half years. I loved it.”
Kate was married to Chris Robinson between 2000 and 2007, and she recently admitted that their romance was a huge learning curve for her.
The actress said on ‘The Howard Stern Show’: “My relationship with Chris was so beautiful and there was so much love there, but I really did grow out of it.
“That was not an easy break-up. I was very in love with him, but it wasn’t going to be the rest of my life.”
Kate believes Chris is a “brilliant” musician. However, his nomadic lifestyle put a strain on their relationship.

The 29-year-old star is taking legal action against Ryan, 25, over comments relating to Prime, Logan’s money-spinning drinks brand.
Logan – who co-founded the company alongside KSI – wrote on X: “I’ve had to spend the last couple months dismantling ridiculous claims about @PrimeHydrate, and it’s become obvious… PRIME is under attack. Why?

OHMYGOSSIP — Patti LaBelle feared she was “going to drown” Otis Redding when he was teaching her to swim.
The 79-year-old star was taking swimming tips from the music icon – who died in December 1967, aged 26 – when she started to fear the worst.
Speaking to the Guardian newspaper, Patti recalled: “I thought I was going to drown Otis because I was pulling him down with me. I loved Otis Redding, and I still speak to his wife.”
Patti still remembers being impressed by Otis’ wisdom.
The singer also remembers Otis – who died in a plane crash over Lake Monona in Wisconsin – as a “gentleman”.
She shared: “He had an old spirit, you’re right about that. Such a gentleman, such a nice man to all of us, to all of the ladies in the world.”
The singer has enjoyed a remarkably successful career, selling more than 50 million records worldwide and winning numerous awards.
Despite this, Patti insisted that she’s actually quite “boring”.
The ‘On My Own’ hitmaker said: “I’m very shy and laid-back off stage. I don’t socialise very well. Offstage I’m boring. I’m very boring. I am.”
Asked why she thinks she’s boring, Patti replied: “I don’t drink … No, I do drink wine. I don’t swim. I don’t drive a car. I don’t go dancing at the clubs. I stay in the kitchen and I cook.”
Patti has been working on new music in recent times, and she insists that her singing talents remain undiminished.
She said: “Sometimes I’m amazed at some of the notes I can still hit and above. And some nights I might be a little under. You know, I’m human. Every night is not going to be mind-blowing or fabulous, it’s going to be Patti LaBelle whoever she is at that moment. But I have no complaints.”

The 53-year-old actor was seriously injured in a snowplow accident in January 2023, and while he’s made an impressive recovery so far, Jeremy accepts that his life has been changed forever.
The Hollywood star – who is best-known for playing Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – told PEOPLE: “I had to accept it for the rest of my life. There’ll be nothing normal or as it was prior to the accident.
“By the way, I’m okay with that. It’s making my life better. I’m healthier because of it.
“I get to focus more on my health and well-being than I ever did before because I have to. Recovery will be until I’m out of this old hot mess of a body. It was a way for me to really accept that it is going to be forever.”
Jeremy was injured when he tried to remove a stranded family member’s car from the snow near his home.
The ‘Hurt Locker’ star broke more than 30 bones in the accident, when was struck by a snowplough and left “completely crushed” by the vehicle.
He subsequently wrote on Instagram: “Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular new years …. Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love [heart emoji] I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness for my family and I …. Much love and appreciation to you all. These 30 plus broken bones will mend , grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens . Love and blessings to you all. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruce Springsteen’s first visit to London “was a little disconcerting”.
The 74-year-old singer was awarded an Academy Fellowship at the Ivor Novello Awards on Thursday (23.05.24), and during his acceptance speech, Springsteen reflected on his relationship with the UK.
The ‘Born in the U.S.A.’ hitmaker – who first visited London in 1975 – said: “The airplane food was not so great, and my first thought when we landed at Heathrow was, ‘Where’s all the cheeseburgers?’
“The cheeseburgers had either been hidden or replaced by something called fish and chips. It was a little disconcerting.
“Then our next stop was the Hammersmith Odeon, where I was greeted by a huge sign announcing: ‘London is finally ready for Bruce Springsteen’.
“And all I thought was, ‘If London isn’t ready for a cheeseburger, they may not be ready for me!'”
During the ceremony in London, Springsteen was introduced by Sir Paul McCartney, who affectionately mocked the award-winning star.
McCartney, 81, said that he “couldn’t think of a more fitting” recipient “except maybe Bob Dylan”.
He added: “Or Paul Simon, or Billy Joel, or Beyonce, or Taylor Swift … The list goes on.”

The 19-year-old star – who is the son of David and Victoria Beckham – has signed with a new management team, as he looks to focus on a “more guitar-led organic sound”.

The sports star said: “He’s a great dude and I’m glad it’s all worked out for the best.”
Patrick previously claimed that Taylor has helped to make the Chiefs a “worldwide team”.
Speaking to Time magazine, he explained: “[The Chiefs] went from a nationwide team that was kind of global to a full global worldwide team. That came from Taylor’s fanbase.”
Patrick believes the Chiefs have embraced the extra attention that’s come their way in recent months.
The NFL star added: “We like having that visibility.
“At the end of the day, football has always been this bruising sport. We want to make it fun, where kids grow up and play football and show their personality and be who they are.”
Despite her fame and success, Patrick has been wowed by Taylor’s down-to-earth attitude and her work ethic.
He said: “I’ve met a lot of famous people now in my life. Taylor’s probably the most down-to-earth person that’s been on that stage for that long.
“She’s never not working. Even when she’s taking her downtime, she’s working on something. Shooting a music video or singing a song or writing a song. You can see it by how she talks.”
