OHMYGOSSIP — Beloved Brazilian singer Djidja Cardoso has died aged 32 from a suspected overdose.
The folk musician – famed for performing with the band Boi Garantido – was found dead on Tuesday (28.05.24) by her shocked family.
Her death is thought to have been caused by the horse tranquilliser ketamine, The Sun has reported.
A family friend confirmed the news of her death and said Djidja’s loved ones family had attempted to reach her on the phone for several hours before finding her body.
They are understood to have discovered her unresponsive in bed at around 6am at her house in Manaus, northwestern Brazil.
Officials are reportedly conducting an autopsy as her cause of death is not yet confirmed, with The Sun reporting cops suspect a ketamine overdose.
Djidja was mainly active in the music business between 2016 and 2020, and after stepping out of the spotlight opened her successful BelleFemme beauty salon in the Amazon region.
Her family announced her death on the official Instagram page of the salon.
Djidja shot to fame after her show at the Parintins Folk Festival, a three-day cultural celebration native to the area in Brazil, and became known as the ‘Little Girl of Boi Garantido’.
She had 65,000 followers on social media and regularly shared posts about the festivals she performed at with fans, as well as snaps of herselfworking out and handling snakes.
On Tuesday (28.05.24) an announcement on Djidja’s salon page said all its units would be closing due to “reasons of force majeure”.
She said at the time she stepped away from music she did so with “tears in my eyes”.
Djidja was also renowned for her role on TV show ‘A Bordo – O Reality’.
As yet, there are no details about her funeral arrangements.

OHMYGOSSIP — Madonna is being sued by a male fan for allegedly staging a sweaty pornography-style show.
The Queen of Pop, 65, is facing the suit from Justen Lipeles, who grew infuriated after watching the ‘Material Girl’ singer’s ‘Celebration Tour’ show in Inglewood, California, on 7 March – and says there should have been a warning about its content.
In court papers obtained by The Blast, Justen also says Madonna’s gig at the Kia Forum started more than 90 minutes late and complains the venue was boiling hot as the singer allegedly demanded the air conditioning be turned off.
Taking aim at being “forced to watch topless women on stage simulating sex acts” during the concert, he states in his filing: “Forcing consumers to wait hours in hot, uncomfortable arenas and subjecting them to pornography without warning is demonstrative of Madonna’s flippant disrespect for her fans.”
Justen is accusing Madonna and gig promoter Live Nation of six offences: breach of written contract, negligent misrepresentation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false advertising, negligence/negligent infliction of emotional distress and unfair competition.
Justen is demanding a jury trial, arguing complainants are entitled to compensatory damages.
Madonna’s raunchy ‘Celebration Tour’ moments have included recreating the famous kiss she shared with Britney Spears 20 years ago with a backup dancer and flashing her underwear on stage.
She has also work bondage-inspired outfits at her shows, as well as lingerie and a nun’s outfit.
Madonna is facing two other class action lawsuits over her lateness, with both sets of plaintiffs alleging the performer was hours late for her scheduled performances.
The suits slate her for showing “disrespect” towards fans and say she lip-synched during much of her show.
Madonna filed a counter motion to dismiss one of the complaints in April, arguing it was illogical for fans to expect her to start on time.
She said in her response: “No reasonable concertgoer – and certainly no Madonna fan – would expect the headline act at a major arena concert to take the stage at the ticketed event time.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kathy Griffin is taking her divorce trauma “one day at a time”.
The comic, 63, filed for divorce from her husband Randy Bick, 45, in December after nearly four years of marriage and has now declared she is keeping her mind focused on work to keep her mind off the pain of their split.
She told People about how she is handling the break-up amid her new stand-up concerts: “One day at a time. One show at a time. I thank God for this tour. I thank God it happened. I’m just so grateful to be on tour, so it takes my mind off it.”
Referring to one of her comedy heroes, Kathy added: “The great Joan Rivers used to say, ‘The more your life is in the s******, the more fun you are.’ “So I must be hilarious.”
Kathy filed for divorce with the Superior Court of California, with her legal papers showing she cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for her split from Randy.
Her filing was dated 22 December, and her papers also contained her request to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support to both parties – with the comic asking the court to “enforce premarital agreement dated 12/23/2019”.
She said on Instagram as news of her divorce broke: “Well… s***. This sucks.”
Her split made headlines days before she and Randy were due to toast their fourth wedding anniversary.
In March, ‘Suddenly Susan’ star Kathy hired a private investigator to serve Randy divorce papers after his whereabouts could not be located.
Court documents at the time said he has “not been in contact” with Kathy, or told the comic where he is “residing or staying” since he left their shared home at Kathy’s request.
Another court filing later revealed Randy had requested spousal support and attorney’s fees be covered by Kathy in accordance with the pair’s prenuptial agreement.
The former couple started dating in 2011 before marrying in January 2020.
Kathy – who was married to 53-year-old actor Matt Moline from 2001 to 2006 – told People at the time about their unconventional approach to marriage traditions: “Randy and I are doing sort of toy rings for the ceremony because neither one of us like wearing rings ever. So we will never wear rings. Deal with it.”

The ‘It Ain’t Over Till It’s Over’ rocker, 60, told in his 2020 autobiography ‘Let Love Rule’ how he was targeted by a female in his early teens, and has now said he was a virgin when she decided he was so “cute” she wanted to “give him some”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kathy Griffin, Rob Reiner and John Cusack are among the celebrities sharing their “joy” over Donald Trump’s historic hush money trial guilty verdict.
Comic Kathy, 63, saw her career nosedive after a 2017 controversy over her posting a photo of violence against scandal-hit Trump, 77, who is now facing four years in prison after being convicted of all 34 counts in his pay-off case – making him the first former US president convicted of a crime.
Trump branded the verdict, which came through on Thursday (30.05.24) in New York, “disgraceful” and insisted he is a “very innocent man” after being found guilty of falsifying business records.
But Kathy said online after the verdict came in she was crying “tears of joy”.

Prosecutors accused Trump of falsifying internal business records to cover up hush money payments tied to an alleged scheme to bury stories that might torpedo his 2016 White House bid.
The charges involved reimbursements paid to Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen for a $130,000 hush money payment to former pornographic actress Stormy Daniels in exchange for not going public with her claim about a 2006 sexual encounter with Trump.
The prosecution said the reimbursements were falsely logged as “legal expenses”.
The case is the first of Trump´s four indictments to reach trial and is the first-ever criminal case against a former US president.
Judge Juan M Merchan has scheduled Trump’s sentencing for 11 July, days before Republicans are set to select him as the 2024 presidential nominee.
The jury announced it had reached a decision in the case via a note to Judge Merchan at 4.20pm on Thursday, minutes after he said the court would adjourn at 4.30pm barring a verdict.

OHMYGOSSIP — Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Shiloh has reportedly filed paperwork to legally change her name.
The teenager is believed to have taken the step on her 18th birthday on Monday (27.05.24) with TMZ reporting she wants to drop her dad’s surname of ‘Pitt’ to be known as Shiloh Jolie going forward.
The website reports the request has yet to be granted, but “it’s only a matter of time before it becomes official”.
It comes shortly after another of the former couple’s children – Vivienne, 15 – also dropped the name Pitt for her inclusion in the Playbill for Broadway show ‘The Outsiders’, which she worked on backstage alongside her mum Angelina.

The ‘Modern Family’ actress, 51, who has been open about wanting to try everything she can to halt the ageing process, made the admission in an interview with Allure.
She told the magazine: “I feel like you have to take advantage of everything that is out there. I mean, if you care about ageing.
“Nothing wrong if you don’t care about it. It’s not the end of the world. But if you do, now there’s so much stuff out there.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Jackson’s children cannot receive money from his estate until a long-running tax dispute is resolved.
Prince, 27, Paris, 26, and Bigi Jackson, 22, as well as the late King of Pop’s mother, Katherine, 94, have been told by John Branca and John McCain, the executors of the ‘Billie Jean’ hitmaker’s will, that they won’t receive anything from his trust until the ongoing row is finalised.
The dispute began when the IRS audited the estate’s federal tax return and “issued a note of deficiency” claiming that the estate “undervalued its assets” and owed “an additional $700 million in taxes and penalties”, documents filed this week and obtained by People magazine state.
In 2021, the estate disputed the assessments and won following a trial in tax court, but since then, its lawyers filed a motion for reconsideration regarding the value of Mijac, Michael’s catalogue owned by Sony Music, which remains pending. As a result, the value of the estate has not been determined for tax purposes and the two parties need to agree a value of deduction before a judgement can be entered.
And while the process is ongoing, attorneys requested a portion of the estate “remain subject to administration” to distribute to the Michael Jackson family trust.
However, the executors rejected the request because they cannot “possibly determine what amount could be safely distributed at this time.”
In addition, the trust “requires that 20 percent of the estate ‘as valued for federal estate tax purposes’ be distributed to charity before the remaining assets of the estate can be distributed to sub-trusts.” This means a resolution of the dispute is “necessary” to determine the size of the charitable contribution.
The executors suggested that until the issue is resolved, the estate should provide for Michael’s kids and his mother through “the family allowance”.

The 34-year-old musician opened up about her health news in a candid post on Instagram revealing she’s working with doctors and a cardiologist to make sure she’s healthy enough to hit the road this summer, but she’s had to change the shows to keep her heart rate down due to the condition which is described as swelling of the tissue surrounding the heart which can cause chest pains.
In her post on Instagram, Carly explained: “I have always been transparent and honest about every part of my life, so I feel like this deserves the same honesty.
“You guys know that I’ve been dealing with some health issues, and through that, I have developed something called pericarditis, which is a heart issue. And I’ve been working with doctors and talking to my cardiologist, and I still want to be out on the road.”
She went on to assure fans she’s going to continue playing live over the summer as she’s opening for Tim McGraw and has a number of festival dates booked in, but she admitted the shows make look slightly different.
Carly added: “We have all decided that it is in my best interest as I’m healing to alter my shows a little bit. So if my shows look a little bit different, just know it’s because I have to keep my heart rate under control right now.
“And the doesn’t mean I’m not going to be completely fine, it just means right now I’ve got to really take this seriously.”

The 38-year-old singer has admitted she’s a huge fan of the 007 franchise and she feels her music would work perfectly as the theme to one of the movies because her work is already “cinematic” and she understands “big band orchestration”.
She told the Guardian newspaper: “I love the score of a lot of the James Bond films. ‘Goldfinger’ is one of my favourites, and ‘You Only Live Twice’ is another. So they can definitely call me!”
She added: “My music has always been cinematic, so I’ve always understood cinema and big band orchestration, string arrangements. I feel it in my ovaries.”

Janelle announced in 2018 that she identifies as pansexual – meaning that she is attracted to people regardless of their gender – and while she is currently thought to be single, little is known about her love life because she has an “agreement” with herself that she will keep it out of the public eye.
She told Rolling Stone magazine: “I have a policy and agreement with myself — that is a part of my life that I want to keep private. I can talk about my identity, I can talk about my sexuality. OHMYGOSSIP — Mod Sun quit booze and drugs for good after he nearly died during a 10-day “bender” in the aftermath of his split from actress Bella Thorne.
The 37-year-old musician – real name Derek Smith – has been celebrating five years of sobriety and he looked back at the distressing two-week period when he went off the rails after his whirlwind romance with Bella crumbled shortly after they tied the knot and admitted he almost lost his life.
He told New York Post column PageSix: “It almost took my life. I really got a second lease of life. I was on a 10-day bender after an extremely hard, very scrutinised break up … and I went on a 10-day bender maybe spending 12 hours in that period going to sleep.
“I was really pushing it to the limit. My eyes rolled back into my head. I came out of that thinking I just got my second lease of life. For real.”
He decided to get sober but he did it alone without a stint in rehab or attending any support meetings.
Mod Sun explained: “I went completely cold turkey … I didn’t go to a rehab centre. Just within myself, I was like, ‘That is not my legacy. That is not my journey’.”
However, instead of lying low and staying at home, Mod Sun decided to go out every night and have fun without drugs or booze.
He added: “Within 24 hours of sobering up, I made the conscious decision to say: ‘I’m going out tonight’ … And every night for the next month …
“‘I’m going to have more fun than all these people. And that’s the way that I looked at it. And that is why I am able to be five years sober – because I immediately broke down the wall of saying, ‘Being sober means having less fun’.”
He now lives a much healthier lifestyle and has taking up running, but his battle with cocaine left him with a deviated septum and “extreme body dysmorphia” because he found the drug kept weight off because it supressed his appetite.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Renner “wasn’t supposed to make it” after his snowplough accident.
The 53-year-old actor spent two weeks in hospital with critical injuries, breaking more than 30 bones in the near-fatal incident near his Nevada home last January, admitted he only felt like he had “got the wind knocked out of” him when he was crushed, but things were far more serious, which was kept hidden from his and ex-wife Sonni Pacheco’s 10-year-old daughter Ava at first.
Appearing on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’, Jeremy said: “To me, it felt like maybe I just got the wind knocked out of me, but I did break 38 bones, my eye came out of my head, [I] crushed my skull. It was pretty terrible.
“”[I] got through it, so that’s really all that matters at the end of the day.
“The initial 14 days, it was a lot of life support. I wasn’t kind of supposed to make it. [Ava] was hidden from all of that. I even forgot about my daughter. That’s how messed up I was after the accident.”
When the ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ star was discharged from hospital, things hit home when he was told Ava was waiting to see him.
Jeremy said: “That’s when my life support really kicked in, because my daughter is my life force. It’s everything.
“I saw the fear in my daughter’s face for the first time. That’s when I was looking in a mirror, like, ‘Ah, I must look pretty terrible.’ I was a hot mess.
“The reality of what transpired really set in, what I’d done to my daughter, what I actually did to my nephew, my whole family, that really set in.”
At that moment, Jeremy made a promise to his only child that he would make a full recovery and be “better” than before.
He said: “I asked her to wait for me. I said, ‘These are just 38 broken bones, darling, and they’re all going to heal. I promise, if you wait for me, I will be better, I will be faster, I will be stronger than you’ve ever seen before. I promise. You have to wait for me.'”
On the anniversary of his accident, Jeremy released his first single, ‘Wait’, and he admitted making music has been “very cathartic” for himself and his family.
He said: “My daughter plays piano [and I wanted to] get her involved in the process, turn it into something positive.
“That’s what I’ve always been trying to do since the accident. Music was a great outlet.”
