Goldie Hawn reveals terror after two home invasions

OHMYGOSSIP — Goldie Hawn thinks Los Angeles is “terrible” after being robbed twice in four months.
The 78-year-old actress and her partner Kurt Russell have been considering moving out of the city to somewhere more “safe” after falling victim to two unsettling incidents in their own home.
Appearing on the ‘Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa’ podcast, she said: “What if we couldn’t live in LA, where would we live? We both decided, I think it’s Palm Desert. … It’s so safe.
“It’s just ’cause L.A. is terrible. I mean, we were robbed once.”
The ‘Snatched’ actress told how she and Kurt had been out to dinner for “two hours and 20 minutes” before they came home and she “lost it” when she realised a “sophisticated” criminal had got into her bedroom.
She said: “We came back and went in the house. I went up to the stairs and I walked into my closet. I just lost it. They had broken in from the balcony to our bedroom, our closets.
“And they completely knocked down my door, which is a safe door, so they’re very, very sophisticated, and they got a lot of my goodies, if you know what I mean.”
Goldie tried to put the incident behind her because she was convinced it was unlikely the house would be targeted again.
She said: “So, I’m thinking, ‘Oh, my God, so the chances are, I guess that’s it. It’s gotta be. The odds are that’s not gonna happen again.”
But four months later, the ‘First Wives Club’ was alone in the house with her dog when she heard a “big thump upstairs”.
She said: “It was just like, was that a sonic boom? Did somebody jump somewhere?
“And as it turned out, the next day, we discovered that they were trying to get in my bedroom while I was in the house.
“I couldn’t believe it. What is happening here?”
As a result of the robberies, Goldie is now “never without a guard”.
Asked if she’d put any protection in place, she said: “I’ve had a guard, especially when I’m alone now.
“I’m never without a guard. We have a nice relationship with our guard.”

Miley Cyrus had ‘a lot of love’ for Billy Ray Cyrus

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus insisted she has “a lot of love” for her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, and denied they are estranged.
The ‘Flowers’ hitmaker and her siblings have appeared to have divided loyalties with their parents since they divorced two years ago, but the 31-year-old singer has dismissed suggestions of a rift and explained she simply has different relationships with the country crooner and her mom Tish.
During an appearance on ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman’, Miley was asked about her relationship with her parents, with the host pondering: “Is it unlikely that both parents would share an equal role going through your life — where it’s always going to be one or the other is closer as things evolve?”
She replied: “It’s really just not the closeness. I think it’s the capacity in which my mom was raised by a completely intact, beautiful family. Actually, my mom was adopted so my mom was chosen.
“Her parents couldn’t have children so they wanted her more than anything in the world. So my mom came in to this world being wanted and being loved and being given the most beautiful life. My grandmother spoiled not only her but me completely rotten. My dad didn’t have that.
“The way my dad was raised, he grew up very poor in a very small town. His parents were divorced when he was very young.
“My dad had a pretty rough childhood and my childhood, really —I mean, we can go on and talk about the hard times and the struggles; you know, turning in my homework and learning my lines was tough — but I had food, I had love, I grew up in a beautiful big house.
“And my dad didn’t have that. So I have a lot of empathy and compassion for his childhood, which obviously developed to create the man he is now that I have a lot of love for.”
David then asked: “There’s not estrangement here with your father, it’s just the way things are played?”
Miley confirmed: “Yeah. I think, what is so beautiful is that my parents, they served their children, and I know this. My parents served us and sacrificed so much for us. Anything we dreamed of, they made possible.”
The former ‘Hannah Montana’ star noted she “inherited the narcissism from my father”, and while she sees a lot of herself in the ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ singer, it is her mom who is her “hero”.
Asked to compare how her parents contributed to her successes today, Miley stressed they were “different” and “can’t be weighed on the same scale, actually.”
She explained: “Without my dad, I know — I mean, not just literally I wouldn’t be sitting in this chair, I wouldn’t exist — but I would not, who I am as a person, it wouldn’t exist.
“Because my dad, as a creative and as an artist in the way that his brain works, has always made me feel safer in my own mind because we’re very similar in our ideas.
“So I think a lot of his perspective on reality and on life, I’ve inherited from him, more so than the way that I was raised — which really, my mom raised me.
“Honestly, my mom is my hero.”

Dolly Parton reveals the one thing that would make her retire

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolly Parton would “have to” retire if her husband took ill.
The 78-year-old country music legend – who has been married to Carl Thomas Dean since 1966 – has released almost 50 studio albums since beginning her career in the late 1960s and has starred in a string of movies but revealed that one of the few things that would force her to “pull way back” would be if her husband “needed” her.
Asked if she has any plans to retire, she told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Not today. Maybe someday I may have to. I’ve always said that if my husband was in ill health or needed me, I would most definitely pull way back.
Her admission comes just days after the ‘Jolene’ hitmaker insists that she doesn’t really “care” about being world-famous and won’t let her lack of anonymity stop her from doing whatever she chooses.
She told E! News: “Anything I really want to do, then I’ll do it. I don’t care that I’m famous.”
The ‘9 to 5’ star was asked what “scares” her in life and admitted that she finds it difficult to live in a world where some people are “nuts and crazy” while the population has to figure out how to navigate that.
“It scares me that people are not better to one another and that we have to live in a world where people are nuts and crazy and you have to try to figure out how you’re going to manoeuvre all round that.”
Dolly – who is famed for her extravagant hair and makeup styles – also revealed that had she not “made it” in showbiz, she would’ve followed a career in beauty.
She said: “Had I not been in showbusiness, if I hadn’t have made it, I probably would have been a beautician because I still would’ve had all that hair and makeup.”

Kathie Lee Gifford claims she was told that she ‘wasn’t pretty enough’ to be an actress

OHMYGOSSIP — Kathie Lee Gifford was told she wasn’t “pretty” enough to be an actress.
The 70-year-old star – who is best known for career hosting TV shows such as ‘Today’ and ‘Live with Regis and Kathie Lee’ – explained that she had heard that ‘Charlie’s Angels’ producers were looking for a new star in the late 1970s and she wanted to be a part of it, but a casting agent at the time told her she wasn’t “right” for the hit crime drama series because of her looks.
She told People: “She goes, ‘Let me tell you right now, you’re not right for ‘Charlie’s Angels’…because we’re looking for a pretty girl. You know, like Jaclyn Smith pretty, gorgeous, gorgeous’.”
“It was like kicking me to the gut. I started to think it was funny. I really did.”
The TV star then explained that she quickly learned to see the incident in good humour and made a joke to the casting director on her way out.
She said: “And as I’m walking out, I looked at her and I said, ‘Okay, well, thank you so much.
“I said, ‘When you’re casting a cartoon,’ and I threw up my leg. ‘When you’re casting a cartoon, let me know,'” she continues. “I left thanking God that I could laugh about it.”
Kathie alleged that the “cruel” agent did not apologise for her comments and still remembers her name all these years later.
She said: “I started to see, first of all, what a bitch she was. What an unnecessary b***** she was. She didn’t say ‘Sorry, honey, have a nice life. You’re not what we’re looking for.’
“She had to be cruel. She had to be the exact opposite of what my dad taught me to be. The fact that I remember her name to this day is because she was so cruel.”

Gabourey Sidibe gives birth to twins

OHMYGOSSIP — Gabourey Sidibe has given birth to twins.
The ‘Precious’ actress and her husband Brandon Frankel welcomed a son and daughter into the world in early April, just two months after the 41-year-old star had publicly announced her pregnancy.
Gabourey showed off her new babies in photos obtained by The Shade Room and revealed her children are called Cooper and Maya.
She said: “Brandon always wanted to name a son Cooper, so we can call him ‘Coop,’ and Maya was named shortly before our baby moon to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico. Both twins have traditional West African middle names after members of my family…
“We’re excited for outfits and getting them dressed up, for sing-alongs, trips and to explore, and raising them to be good people.”
Although it is unclear exactly when the Oscar-nominated star gave birth, the day she went into labour gave her a shock.
She told Shutterstock: “We originally were going in for a routine appointment, only to be told the twins would be coming later that day and not when originally planned.”
Both babies are “extremely strong and hilarious” although they “have yet to really interact with each other.”
Gabourey said: “Cooper will sometimes speak for Maya and alert us that she’s about to spit up. Maya loves her name being sung to her and is the queen of comedic timing, and Cooper loves his sleep and has the funniest facial expressions.
“They both love cuddling with Mom and Dad…
“Also, it was a surprise to see how little they’ve acknowledged each other outside the womb when they seemed to interact so much inside.”
The actress announced her pregnancy on Instagram in April.
She shared a picture of her husband with his arms wrapped around her baby bump and wrote: “I’m pregnant! We thought it was time to give our cats some responsibility so we’re giving them each a baby to take care of!
“Double the babies, double the cats, double the fun!! Twin Delivery coming soon! Twinty Twinty Four!!”
She also added a snap of the pair trying out a double push chair and another which showed them standing in their bathroom with Brandon placing one hand lovingly on her tummy.
The baby news comes two years after the couple – who met on dating app Raya in 2020 – married in secret in their kitchen shortly after becoming engaged.

Jon Bon Jovi admits his ‘100 girls’ brag ‘came off like arrogant cliché’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jon Bon Jovi says his brag he had 100 girls in his life along with his wife “came off like an arrogant cliché”.
The ‘You Give Love a Bad Name’ singer, 62, has been married to his high school sweetheart Dorothea Hurley, 61, since 1989, and made global headlines in April when he admitted he had not been a “saint” in their relationship – and declared: “(I’m) not saying that there weren’t 100 girls in (my) life.”
But he has now told The Guardian about how he was apparently misinterpreted: “That was an interesting moment where the brain and lips don’t connect.
“What I meant to say was I’ve had 100 women who have thrown themselves at me, but I didn’t finish the sentence so I really came off like an arrogant cliche’.”
Jon told actor Michael Strahan, 52, on ABC’s ‘Halfway There’ special about his early days in the music business and how got “way with murder” with his wife: “(I’m) not saying that there weren’t 100 girls in (my) life. I’m a rock ‘n’ roll star. I’m not a saint. I’m Jon Bon Jovi. It was pretty good.
“But if you think I was ever going to jeopardise anything for believing the narcissist in me was real? What a stupid thing to do.
“What kind of excesses does a man need that’s going to fuel that fire? It’s just not worth it.”
The Grammy winner praised karate teacher Dorothea in the same chat for not being “afraid to call (me) out on something”, but added: “She’s also there when I fall. And I’m there for her when she falls. No matter where I went in my career, the ups or the downs, we went there together.”
Jon and Dorothea started dating in 1980, four years before the release of Bon Jovi’s self-titled first album.
The duo briefly split in 1985 before reconciling and then eloping in Las Vegas in 1989.
Jon and Dorothea have four children – Stephanie, 30, Jesse, 29, Jake, 21, and 20-year-old Romeo.

David Beckham settles lawsuit with Mark Wahlberg’s F45

OHMYGOSSIP — David Beckham has resolved his lawsuit with Mark Wahlberg’s F45 Training.
The former soccer star’s management firm DB Ventures Limited sued the company for breach of contract in October 2022, seeking more than $10 million in damages after a promotional agreement allegedly failed to pay out “substantial cash and equity compensation”, but now both parties have reached an agreement.
F45 Training Holdings Inc. explained DB Ventures Limited have agreed to drop the lawsuit against F45 Training and David will stay on as an ambassador for the company.
Dan Dienst, Executive Vice Chairman of Authentic Brands Group, which has a controlling stake in David’s management business, said in a statement: “We are pleased to have settled this issue and to retain our investment in F45, and wish the team all the best for the future.”
Tom Dowd, CEO of F45 Training added in his own statement: “For a long time, F45 has been — and continues to be — a supporter of Beckham, as he has been for our brand, and are pleased to have reached a mutual business decision to resolve the matter.”
The lengthy lawsuit previously explained David had signed up for a deal which should have generated millions of dollars in yearly payments in exchange for the rights to use his image and brand, but things went wrong when F45 allegedly “began to falter” earlier this year due to “fiscal mismanagement and macroeconomic pressures.”
It alleged millions of dollars were withheld by the fitness franchise, despite the company’s contractual obligations, and David argued the deal with him “enhanced its public profile and credibility and helped roll out new fitness offerings for F45”.
He felt this ultimately helped F45 go public in 2021 with a valuation “nearly three times higher” than the company had two years before.
David, 49, bought into F45 when it “led an investment round that reportedly valued the company at approximately $634 million”, but a few years later, his investment because a “fraction of the value” it was when he first bought in as the worth of the franchise plummeted.
David also argued F45 “rendered freely tradable, substantially more stock to various entities affiliated with Fortress Investment Group during this same period of time, and had accelerated the vesting of other shares issued to Wahlberg, another key celebrity, who is also a board member, director, and insider.”
The case was last seen by a judge in September 2023, and it is unclear why nothing has happened from then until the new resolution.

Dolly announced the show at the CMA Fest in Nashville on Thursday (06.06.24) and later said in a statement: “Hello, I’m Dolly, and I lived my whole life to see this show on stage. I’ve written many original songs for the show and included all your favourites in it as well. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll clap, you’ll stomp, it truly is a Grand Ol’ Opera. Pun and fun intended. ” I had always heard she wanted to do a musical based on her life, so when she asked if I would be interested in producing it, I was bowled over.
“As the world knows, Dolly is a magical blend of talent, hard work, intelligence, charm, wit, and a gigantically big heart. I’m thrilled we’re going to bring her inspiring story to Broadway.”
Casting for the show and details of other members of the creative team will be announced at a later date.

Francis Ford Coppola insists he’s not ‘touchy-feely’ after allegations of on-set misbehaviour

OHMYGOSSIP — Francis Ford Coppola has insisted he is not “touchy-feely”.
The ‘Apocalypse Now’ director, 85, made the statement when hitting back at claims that emerged in May he pulled women to sit on his lap and tried to kiss a string of topless or scantily clad female extras while filming a nightclub scene for his epic new sci-fi film ‘Megalopolis’.
Breaking his silence for the first time about the allegations, which were published by The Guardian, Francis told The New York Times when asked about them: “I’m not touchy-feely. I’m too shy.”
He added about how his upbringing means he could never be a predator: “My mother told me that if you make an advance toward a woman, it means you disrespect her, and the girls I had crushes on, I certainly didn’t disrespect them.”
The NYT added Francis did say “there was a photo of one of the ‘girls’ he kissed on the cheek (on the set of ‘Megalopolis’) that had been taken by her father” – adding: “I knew her when she was nine.”
Francis has been defended against the claims he acted inappropriately on the set of his latest film by its executive co-producer Darren Demetre.
He told The Guardian in the same report that carried allegations of Francis’ apparent misbehaviour on set: “I was never aware of any complaints of harassment or ill behaviour during the course of the project.
“I have known and worked with Francis and his family for over 35 years.
“As one of the first assistant directors and an executive producer on his new epic, ‘Megalopolis’, I helped oversee and advise the production and ran the second unit.
“Francis successfully produced and directed an enormous independent film, making all the difficult decisions to ensure it was delivered on time and on budget, while remaining true to his creative vision.
“There were two days when we shot a celebratory Studio 54-esque club scene where Francis walked around the set to establish the spirit of the scene by giving kind hugs and kisses on the cheek to the cast and background players.
“It was his way to help inspire and establish the club atmosphere, which was so important to the film.
“I was never aware of any complaints of harassment or ill behaviour during the course of the project.”
The Guardian’s report also contained allegations Francis smoked marijuana on set, was “unpleasant”, had no plan for filming which apparently left his team tearing out their hair – and demonstrated “old school” behaviour throughout the shoot.
Francis’ ‘Megalopolis’ premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival on 17 May.
The director first began writing the project in 1983, and sold a portion of his wine empire in 2021 to self-fund the $120 million project.
Its trailer shows Adam Driver, 40, in its lead role, playing an idealistic architect trying to rebuild a city while up against Giancarlo Esposito, 66, as a pragmatic mayor.
The cast also includes Nathalie Emmanuel, Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Voight, Jason Schwartzman, Laurence Fishburne, Kathryn Hunter, Grace VanderWaal, Chloe Fineman, James Remar, D B Sweeney and Dustin Hoffman.

Rag ’N’ Bone Man ‘planning to marry girlfriend this summer’

OHMYGOSSIP — Rag ’N’ Bone Man is reportedly planning to marry his girlfriend this summer.
The 39-year-old ‘Human’ singer, born Rory Charles Graham, told in October how he proposed to his partner Zoe Beardsall during an airplane trip, and the pair are now apparently “counting the days until they wed”.
A source told The Sun about how the Brit award-winner asked for Zoe’s hand nine months ago: “Rory and Zoe have been planning their wedding ever since he proposed in September.
“He has got a really busy summer with festivals but there is some time in August which has been set aside for their special day.
“Rory is really down to earth and he and Zoe love their quiet life out of the spotlight.
“But the wedding won’t be low-key, as they’re having all their friends and family involved for a massive celebration, with a huge party afterwards.
“Rory is the happiest he has been in years and has now really found his -soulmate in Zoe.”
Insiders also told The Sun the couple will tie the knot in Sussex, close to their home, then “celebrate with a massive boozy party”.
The pair’s guest list is expected to be star-studded as their famous friends include DJ Calvin Harris, 40, and 44-year-old singer Pink.
It was revealed in January 2021 Rory had fallen for aspiring actress Zoe after his split from his wife Beth Rouy in 2019.
The singer told in October how he had proposed to his girlfriend at 30,000 ft on a plane trip to Nashville.
He said during a joint chat with Zoe at Shocktober Fest in Sussex: “We got engaged on the plane, on the way to Nashville.”
Zoe added: “He was going to do it when we got there but his anxiety was getting the better of him and he didn’t want to ruin the holiday.
“He was p****** about with the divider between our seats and he put it down and was just sitting there with a box.”

Ray J would be ‘devastated’ if Princess Love moved on

OHMYGOSSIP — Ray J would be “devastated” if Princess Love started a new relationship.
The ‘One Wish’ hitmaker split from his wife – with whom he has children Melody, six, and four-year-old Epik – in February for the fourth time but he still cares for her a lot and vowed he will never “be in love with somebody else”.
Speaking on the ‘Club Shay Shay’ podcast, he said: “When you love someone, I think you love one time in each life cycle…
“There’s one person you love, and I love that person, and that’s Princess.”
The 43-year-old singer admitted he would be “devastated, of course” if his estranged wife moved on but accepted he would “just have to deal” with it if Princess “loves again or finds somebody else”.
He added: “Just because the person I love goes out to experience life — I mean, everybody deserves that.
“You only get one life. When we’re both 75, you know, God willing, or 80 or 85, and we’re sitting at the table, and she asks me, ‘Did you live it up?’ And I’m like, ‘S***. Yeah, I did.’ When I ask her, I want her to say the same [thing]…
“A man realising that a woman is moving on or don’t wanna f *** with him no more is a mind f***. And so, for me, I had to get over that and then understand that everything should be equal.”
Ray is unsure what sparked the latest divorce filing but the pair are “spending a lot of time with the kids” and he is “making sure she’s involved with everything [he is] doing” when it comes to the TV shows he produces.
And asked if there is a chance for them to ever get back together, he insisted: “It always is… even if it’s final with papers.
“That doesn’t stop us from loving each other or understanding and learning each other as we go because we’re still co-parenting.
“We both love our kids, and we both love being around each other, with the kids and without the kids. It’s just sometimes, time apart heals all. And I think when you get older, you kinda realise that.
“I want her to know that I’m never going anywhere, and she knows that.
“And so together, through these phases, I just wanna make sure that we’re good and the kids know that we’re still a solid unit together. That’s very important.”
Ray insisted he isn’t interested in other women.
He stressed: “I’m never dating again.”

‘That was bothering me’: Prince’s sister recalls worries on final meeting with late star

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince’s sister was “bothered” about his health in the days before he died.
The ‘Purple Rain’ hitmaker passed away from an accidental fentanyl overdose at his Paisley Park estate in Minnesota in April 2016 but shortly before then, he’d postponed two concerts due to influenza and then his private plane had to make an emergency landing so he could receive medical treatment after becoming unresponsive, and Tyka Nelson has recalled going to visit him shortly afterwards.
She told the Star Tribune newspaper: “There was a lady who wanted to hug him and the protector in me stood up — the lady was taller than me — the bodyguards came over and got her. Prince looked at me, ‘What you gonna do?’ So that made us smile.
“I said, ‘Do you hear how you kick that piano? You do it just like Daddy.’ He said, ‘Yeah, I do.’ He walked like Daddy. His sense of humor was Daddy. I think he’s built like Mom, in the middle he’s longer.”
When she hugged her brother, Tyka recalled thinking he had lost weight.
She said: “A couple of times I said, ‘How are you really?’ He didn’t go into anything with me. That was bothering me, and he knew it was but that was all he wanted to tell me. I don’t want to go into that.”
Four days before he passed away, the ‘Raspberry Beret’ singer phoned his sibling, but she got “mad” when he began dodging her questions.
She recalled: “He kept avoiding questions. I kept getting mad. I felt like ‘talk to me for two seconds.’ He’d change the subject, make a joke and then we’d both laugh. He asked me could I find more information about our family. Prince wanted me to find Sharon’s number. I didn’t question it. It was like ‘send this picture to that person.’ OK. What for?”
The 64-year-old singer is still mourning her brother and the other losses in her family.
She said: “A very small part is grieving. It took me a long time. Because he was the last link for me to people on this earth — it was my mom, my dad and my brother.”

Jon Hamm recalls hearing top entertainment boss said he’d ‘never’ be a TV star

OHMYGOSSIP — Jon Hamm has recalled hearing how a top entertainment executive said he would “never” make it as a television star.
The 53-year-old actor is best known for playing macho Don Draper in the advertising business period drama ‘Mad Men’ from 2007 to 2015 – for which he won a raft of awards including a Primetime Emmy and two Golden Globes – but said he heard about the brutal feedback after an audition he did before becoming a household name.
He said during The Hollywood Reporter’s ‘Drama Actor Emmy Roundtable’ when asked to detail the “strangest” comment about his work he’d ever heard: “I had a head of this television network tell my representatives, actually, that Jon Hamm will never be a television star.
“He’s no longer at the head of that network.”
Jon refused to “name names” when it came to the executive or the network, but said he didn’t get wind of the disparaging remark until “much later” in the “history of things”.
He added: “It was one of those things where I had auditioned for this person and this network over and over and over again, as one does, and for whatever reason didn’t get the part, and didn’t get the part, and didn’t get the part.
“It would always come down to the last two – me and the guy who’s going to get it.”
Jon also branded auditioning “the worst” part of his business, adding: “It just stinks, but that’s the only way we’ve got.
“And there’s so many variables that are completely out of your control, so the ability to let it go is an amazing point in one’s career.
“And then, of course, that’s when you don’t ever have to audition again.”
Along with his role in ‘Mad Men’, Jon has been a scene-stealer in TV shows such as ‘Black Mirror’, ‘The Gentleman’ and ‘Fargo’.
