Kris Jenner pays tribute to North West on her 11th birthday: ‘You’re a superstar, Northie…’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kris Jenner is “inspired” by her granddaughter North West.
The 68-year-old matriarch is grandmother to budding singer North through her daughter Kim Kardashian, 43, and took to social media on Saturday (15.06.24) to pay tribute to the budding singer on her 11th birthday.
Alongside a snap of herself, Kim and North, she wrote: “Your confidence is inspiring and it always amazes me how much energy, excitement and love you put into everything you do, whether it’s your singing, dancing, writing, amazing music producing, your love for fashion… everything you do you put your all into it.
“You are truly spectacular and one of a kind.”
The post came just weeks after North took to the stage at the Hollywood Bowl as part of the 30th anniversary concert for ‘The Lion King’ where she sang the role of young Simba, and ‘The Kardashians’ star was quick to note how “proud” she was of her granddaughter following her viral performance of ‘I Just Can’t Wait To Be King’.
She said: “I’m so proud of your ‘Lion King’ performance at the Hollywood Bowl. You are a superstar, Northie. ”I just can’t believe how fast you’re growing up and how creative you are. You’re reaching for the stars and following your dreams.
“Never stop dreaming big and shining bright. I love you sooo much! Love, Lovey.”
North – who recently announced that she is working on her first album ‘Elementary School Dropout’ – was supported by a host of other members from her world-famous family at the show, including her dad Kanye West and her aunt Kourtney Kardashian, who was in attendance with her husband Travis Barker.
A source told Us Weekly: “North waved and clapped along with the others [during the curtain call]. She was so cute, waving and smiling to those in the crowd as she exited the stage. She looked like she didn’t want the night to end!”

Mama June Shannon reveals how she keeps her daughter’s memory alive six months on from her death

OHMYGOSSIP — Mama June Shannon carries her daughter’s ashes around in a charm bracelet.
The 44-year-old reality star lost Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell’ when she succumbed to cancer aged just 29 towards the end of 2023 and revealed that it was her daughter’s dying wish to be cremated and carried around in jewellery so that her memory is kept alive.
She told People: “We very much still today, even six months later, keep her memory alive. For me, I personally have to talk about it all the time. She’s actually here with us today. She’s here [in my charm bracelet]. I always tote her around. That was her thing, that she wanted to be cremated and toted around, so I’m like, ‘Okay, let’s go, girl.”
The ‘From Not To Hot’ star – who shot to fame when she starred alongside her other daughter Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson and the rest of her family in the reality series ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ more than a decade ago – explained that she “never expected” to lose a member of the family or have to face the possibility of dealing with it on camera.
She said: “We never thought that we would have to lose somebody in our family. We didn’t think we was going to experience that ever in reality TV.”
But June’s other daughter Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird noted that WE tv was “respectful enough not to put anything that Anna wouldn’t have wanted on frame.”
June recently admitted that she is hoping to take her granddaughter Kaitlyn, 11, – who now lives with her and her husband Justin – away from the house where the tragedy happened.
She said: “We’re hoping to be able to move soon because Anna passed away in our home, and for me and Justin and Kaitlyn it’s just a constant remembering. This is where everything happened.
“We are living in a constant nightmare, but for me, for the last six months, it’s been a struggle. I got emotional earlier today. It is just really, am I going to wake up from this nightmare?”

Joe Alwyn breaks silence on his split from Taylor Swift as he opens up on ‘difficulties’ of breakup

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Alwyn wants fans to understand the “difficulties” of his breakup with Taylor Swift.
The 33-year-old actor dated pop megastar Taylor, 34, from 2016 until 2023 and when asked if he thinks her latest album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ was inspired by their split, he explained that there were certain problems that came with the sudden end of his “loving, fully committed relationship” after such a long period of time.
He told The Sunday Times Style Magazine: “In thinking on what I was going to say, I would think and hope that anyone and everyone can empathise. … This isn’t a direct answer to your question, but just thinking about what I want to talk about.
“I would hope that anyone and everyone can empathise and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years. That is a hard thing to navigate.”
The ‘Stars At Noon’ actor lamented that he was put in an “unusual” situation with his split from Taylor – who is now in a relationship with NFL player Travis Kelce – because they are both in the public eye and hinted that the truth was different to what had been discussed in the media.
He said: “What is unusual and abnormal in this situation is that, one week later, it’s suddenly in the public domain and the outside world is able to weigh in.”
“So you have something very real suddenly thrown into a very unreal space: tabloids, social media, press, where it is then dissected, speculated on, pulled out of shape beyond recognition.
“And the truth is, to that last point, there is always going to be a gap between what is known and what is said. I have made my peace with that.”

Jon Bon Jovi shares another update on his health as he recovers from vocal surgery

OHMYGOSSIP — Jon Bon Jovi is taking things “step by step” following his vocal surgery.
The 62-year-old rock star – who opens up about his life and career in the upcoming Disney+ documentary ‘Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story’ – is still in vocal therapy after undergoing surgery in 2022 but admitted that he is “getting back” to performing after taking to the stage in Tennessee with his band.
He told People: “We performed last night in Nashville, and everything was very good. So step by step, I’m getting back to it.”
The ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’ hitmaker recently admitted that although he is “not quite there” in terms of committing to a full-blown tour, he has “set the bar” for himself and seems determined to get back on the road whenever he is able to do so.
Asked if he has any plans to ever hit the road again, he told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s been a long process — it’s been two years — and look, I’m not quite there yet.
“[It would be ] two and a half hours, four nights a week – this is the bar I set for myself… I don’t mess around when we go out.”#
Despite this, the Bon Jovi frontman recently admitted that he felt “good” with the idea of quitting life on the road if he discovers things are not up to scratch with his vocal dexterity.
He told The Sunday Times: “It’s the parallel storyline, right? This is the first time I’m saying this. If the singing is not great, if I can’t be the guy I once was … then I’m done. And I’m good with that.
“There is a big difference between being in a studio and going out on the road. We have just recorded a new album. I sing in vocal therapy every day. But I want to perform for two and a half hours a night, four nights a week — and I know how good I can be, so if I can’t be that guy … put it this way, I don’t ever need to be the fat Elvis.”

“Certain little truisms or whatever you want to call them.”
“Little examples of life saying, ‘If you do this, this is what you do. Always do this, do that.’
“I say, ‘You’re going to remember what I just said to you, you’re not going to forget it and it’ll register with you and it will make an impact and a good one.

Gordon Ramsay admits he is ‘lucky to be alive’ following a horror cycling accident

OHMYGOSSIP — Gordon Ramsay feels “lucky” to be alive after he was involved in a bicycle crash.
The 57-year-old chef is a keen cycler in his life away from the world of TV stardom but took to social media on Saturday (15.06.24) evening to reveal that he had been involved in a “really bad accident” and urged his followers to remember the importance of wearing a helmet.
Speaking in a video posted to Instagram, he said: “This week, unfortunately, I had a really bad accident and it really shook me. Honestly, I’m lucky to be here. Now, from those incredible trauma surgeons, the doctors, nurses in the hospital who looked after me this week – they were amazing, but you’ve got to wear a helmet. I don’t care how short the journey is. I don’t care that these helmets cost money – they are crucial. Even with the kids, if it’s a short journey, they’ve got to wear a helmet.
“I am lucky to be standing here. I’m in pain and it’s been a brutal week but I’m getting through it.”
The ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ star – who has been married to Tana Ramsay since 1996 and has Megan, 26, twins Holly and Jack, 24, Tilly, 22, Oscar, five, and seven -month-old Jesse with her – was wearing a helmet at the time but used the caption of his post to reiterate his point about safety headgear and aimed it particularly at other dads ahead of Father’s Day on Sunday.
He wrote: “I have very important message for all the dads out there…WEAR A HELMET ! This week I had a really bad accident while riding my bike in Connecticut. I’m doing ok and did not break any bones or suffer any major injuries but I am a bit bruised up looking like a purple potato.
“I’m thankful for all the doctors, nurses and staff at Lawerence + Memorial Hospital in New London who looked after me and checked me out, but most thankful for my helmet that saved my life. Have a great Father’s Day and be safe Gx”

Adele: ‘My music will get you pregnant!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Adele thinks her music has the power to “get straight men laid”.
The 36-year-old singer is known for ballads like ‘Someone Like You’ and ‘Hello’ which focus on the ups and downs of relationships and joked while on stage during her ‘Weekends With Adele’ residency in Las Vegas that if any members of the audience were “dragged” to her show, they would likely end up getting their partner pregnant after attending the concert because her music is an aphrodisiac.
Speaking live on stage on Saturday (15.06.24) evening, she told the audience: “For anyone that got dragged along tonight, which obviously would be a straight man, you might get someone pregnant tonight because I make baby-making music.
“If you have been dragged along against your will, you will one hundred per cent get laid tonight – I will get you laid because my music is emotive.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Rolling in the Deep’ songstress – who has 11-year-old son Angelo with her ex-husband Simon Konecki – is now in a relationship with sports agent Rich Paul and recently told her fans that she is hoping to have a little girl at some point in the future.
She said: “Once I am done with all my obligations and all of my shows, I want to have a baby.
“I want a girl because I’ve already got a boy. I feel like she might be like the person I love the most in the world, but also probably hate the most in the world – that is what I feel will happen.
“She’s going to put me in my place all the time, isn’t she?
“With me as her mother and Rich as her father, she’s going to be a bossy little queen, isn’t she?”

Liam Gallagher bids for permission to use huge wall to beef up security at mansion

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher wants to use a huge wall to beef up security at his mansion.
The former Oasis rocker, 51, has applied for planning permission to build a new garden blockade at the front of his £4 million mock Tudor home in London.
A 6ft-high hedge will also be planted at the 19th Century pad to help keep out intruders and spies, the Mail on Sunday reported.
Liam’s planning agent was quoted by the newspaper saying: “The existing entrance gates and walls of the property do not provide the necessary privacy or security for the family.”
Liam’s application added: “It’s important to note that many nearby properties feature swimming pools in varying shapes and sizes.”
The Mail said an existing sunken patio will also be extended at the property, which Liam bought in 2019, giving the singer and his manager fiancée Debbie Gwyther more room for entertaining.
The Mail said authorities at Haringey council who are responsible for approving such applications in the area “are expected to make a decision on the application this week”.
It added: “So far no neighbours have objected.”
Liam is currently on his ‘Definitely Maybe’ tour to mark 30 years since the release of Oasis’ debut album.
Despite his older brother’s denials, he has dropped repeated hints he and sibling Noel Gallagher, 57, are set to reunite for a mega-money Oasis reunion tour.
He also last week suggested he could go on another tour in 2025 to mark the anniversary of Oasis’ second album ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’
The Mail also reported Liam has bought into the latest musical trends by ordering some “vocal straws”.
They cost nearly £50 and resemble drinking straws, but are supposed to improve your voice if you sing into them.
Liam’s publicist Katie Gwyther – who is Debbie’s sister – told the Mail: “He usually just gets fidgety and uses his drink straw as a prop. This could be a game changer!”

Lupita Nyong’o desperate to star in rom-com

OHMYGOSSIP — Lupita Nyong’o is dreaming of starring in a romantic comedy.
The 41-year-old actress has made her name with a string of hard-hitting roles in films such as ’12 Years a Slave’ and ‘Us’, but is now pleading with Hollywood casting directors to put her in a light-hearted movie.
She told an event hosted by Paramount Pictures and Hollywood Confidential to celebrate her work: “Please tell everybody I’m looking for the rom-com. I am here, I’m taking calls.
“Listen, if I need to audition, I’ll do it. I’m dying to do a comedy – dying to do a comedy.”
Lupita won a best supporting actress Oscar in 2014 for her work in director Sir Steve McQueen’s horrific 19th Century-set drama ‘12 Years a Slave’, and has portrayed a spy and romantic interest to Chadwick Boseman in ‘Black Panther’.
She has even started to advertise her comedy abilities online by posting
light-hearted videos of herself and her cat on social media to show her playful side.
Lupita added: “I’m trying to tell these executives that I’m funny and that I can be light-hearted and light-footed.
“But I do have more dramatic roles in the can than light ones, so someone’s just got to take a chance with me.
“So consider this my open application.”
Despite her dreams of a comedy role, the actress is currently starring in the ‘Quiet Place’ prequel ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’.
She said about landing the part in the horror franchise: “I was very honoured to get offered this role because I think it is a very innovative world that John Krasinski created.”
‘The US Office’ actor John, 43, starred in and directed the first ‘Quiet Place’ movie in 2018, and Lupita called his dark creation about alien monsters who terrorise humanity by eating them every time they hear them move or make a sound “a fun world”.
She added: “It’s a very specific world. It’s a tense world.”

Dakota Fanning keen to work again with Ishana Night Shyamalan

OHMYGOSSIP — Dakota Fanning is keen to work again with Ishana Night Shyamalan.
The 30-year-old actress stars in the director’s debut movie ‘The Watchers’ as Mina – an artist who gets stranded in a forest before becoming trapped alongside three strangers who are being stalked by mysterious creatures each night – and she’s predicted the first-time filmmaker has a great future ahead.
She told HELLO! magazine: “I loved it. Ishana is such a special and wonderful person.
“She directed this film and also wrote the script, she is incredibly talented and creative, as I think all her family are.
“To be part of her first film felt really special.
“I think she has a huge future ahead of her. I really hope to work with her again one day.”
Dakota admitted it was a “challenge” to act out her character’s fear with nothing to react to it but the director made things easier.
She said: “It’s a challenge, but that’s when a director like Ishana is so important.
“Because she wrote the script, she was able t give us a very clear idea of what our characters were seeing and what they were experiencing.
“So I never felt that I didn’t have everything I needed to act out a scene, even if you couldn’t see what the audience sees on screen.”
The ‘Runaways’ actress was very happy to return to Ireland to make the movie.
She gushed: “It’s so beautiful. I had worked there previously and absolutely loved it, so it was very exciting for me to return.
“We shot around Galway and Dublin over long summer days with some of the same crew I had worked with before.
“It was beautiful but also really disorientating, in that the days were so long that you ended up not really sure what time of day it was, especially shooting in the forest.”

Céline Dion believes late husband’s spirit is still in her life

OHMYGOSSIP — Céline Dion is convinced her late husband’s spirit is still in her life.
The 56-year-old ‘My Heart Will Go On’ singer was left devastated when her music producer husband of 22 years René Angélil died from throat cancer aged 73 in 2016, and has now opened up about how she feels him around her.
Canadian Céline, who is battling Stiff Person Syndrome, says in her upcoming ‘I Am: Céline Dion’ documentary: “I’m still married to René – he’s still my husband.
“When we have to travel to my treatments to see my doctors, I always bring pictures (of René.)
“And we have pictures, of course, all over the place in the house.”
The new documentary on Céline is due out on Amazon Prime Video from 25 June.
She recently told how the children she had with René are worried she will be killed by her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome.
Céline was forced to stop performing following her 2022 diagnosis of the rare condition, and said during an interview on Australia’s ‘Sunrise’ morning show: “I don’t have my mom. I don’t have my dad. My kids are scared because they lost their dad.
“They’re wondering if I’m going to die.”
Céline had her three sons – René-Charles, 23, and 13-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy – with René.
Her illness causes progressive muscle stiffness and repeated muscle spasms.
The singer was first hit symptoms in 2008, but they worsened by 2021 when she had to postpone her Las Vegas residency due to “severe” spams and she later cancelled her ‘Courage’ world tour.
She also recently admitted she did not “take the time” to understand the early symptoms of her Stiff Person Syndrome.
Céline told broadcaster Hoda Kotb, 59, on the ‘Today’ show: “I did not take the time I should have stopped, take the time to figure it out.”
Referring to how she was caring for ill René at the time she was suffering, she added: “My husband as well was fighting for his own life. I had to raise my kids, I had to hide. I had to try to be a hero.”
But she added about her symptoms becoming too unbearable to stop sharing with her loved ones: “Feeling my body leaving me, holding on to my own dreams… I could not do this anymore.
“Lying for me, the burden was too much. Lying to the people who got me where I am today, I could not do it anymore.”
She added her stiffness can also sometimes feel like parts of her body are locked into place, saying: “It feels like, if I point my feet, they will stay (there.)
“It’s cramping but it’s like in a position where you cannot unlock them.
“I have broken ribs at one point because sometimes when its very severe, it can break.”

Billy Crystal poked fun at Robert De Niro’s acting on set of ‘Analyze This’

OHMYGOSSIP — Billy Crystal teased Robert De Niro about his acting abilities on the set of ‘Analyze This’.
The comic, 76, and the ‘Raging Bull’ Oscar-winner, 80, co-starred in the 1999 mafia comedy, which saw Billy playing a therapist roped in to help Robert’s struggling mob boss character Paul Vitti with depression issues.
Billy said he ended up teasing the Hollywood veteran after he took him aside and asked him to use his comedy expertise to give him advice on his performance if he thought there was a way he could be making it funnier.
Billy made the admission during a talk alongside Robert at the Spring Studios’ Indeed Theater in New York City after a screening of their mafia comedy.
He said in their question-and-answer session, hosted by 69-year-old broadcaster Gayle King: “(Robert) whispers (on set), because it’s like, mafia guys they speak in whispers because it makes you come to them.
“And he says, ‘Listen. If you see anything I can do funnier, better, take me aside and just let me know.’
“(I remembered thinking), ‘Oh my God. What an amazing, generous thing to do.’”
And in the pair’s next take Billy took advantage of Robert’s request by poking fun at the star.
He added: “I go, ‘Come here. Is that all you got?’
“And then we just laughed and we just, throughout the whole movie you wouldn’t think that we would just laugh as much as we did.
“It’s hard to get through some of the scenes because they’re really funny, and he was extraordinary to work with.”
Robert’s mob boss suffers a panic attack in the movie and reluctantly seeks the help of psychiatrist Ben Sobel, played by Billy.
The film was a commercial hit and topped the box office on its opening weekend.
It also spawned the 2002 sequel ‘Analyze That’, in which Robert’s character is released from prison into the custody of Billy’s psychiatrist character.

Keith Richards got so wasted on Rolling Stones tour he was flown to another country while still in bed

OHMYGOSSIP — Keith Richards got so out of his mind on tour with the Rolling Stones he was flown to another country while still in bed.
The guitarist, 80, who slipped into heroin abuse at the height of the band’s fame – but has now kicked drugs, drink and smoking – was in such a deep sleep after a drug binge the group’s roadies were forced to carry him onto the band’s private jet while he was still resting.
Celebrity publicist Alan Edwards said about the incident in his new memoir ‘I Was There’: “The tour manager couldn’t wake Keith up in a hotel room to fly to the next country.
“So roadies carried the bed, with Keith sleeping in it, out of the hotel, loaded it on to the plane then hauled it off when the plane touched down again.
“Keith woke up in another hotel room in another country without having stirred.
“There were none of the normal constraints in terms of when or where the plane departed – the Stones were travelling on their own 747 jet.”
Keith celebrated his 80th birthday in December with far more civilised partying.
He went on safari over Christmas in South Africa with his wife Patti Hansen, who he married in 1983, to mark becoming an octogenarian on 18 December.
He posted alongside an image of himself grinning while wearing a jacket in the colours of the South African flag during the trek: “Thank you for your birthday wishes! Merry Christmas from South Africa.”
A source told The Sun ahead of the father-of-five’s trip: “Keith isn’t afraid of wild beasts and loves seeing them roaming in the wild.
“It’s been a dream to do a big holiday with all his family at a luxury resort in Africa and have that once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience all together.
“He turns the big 8-0 in December and he’s hoping to get out before then and live it up in the sunshine and then spend Christmas with his family.”

Jane Asher loves crosswords and baking

OHMYGOSSIP — Former Swinging Sixties party girl Jane Asher prefers the quieter things in life these days including crossword puzzles and baking.
The 78-year-old actress and author famously dated former Beatles singer Sir Paul McCartney, 81, at the time and they lived with Jane and her family at their Wimpole Street town house in London before they got their own house, and were engaged until the ‘Alfie’ actress caught him in bed with groupie Francie Schwartz – leading to her calling off their wedding in July 1968.
These days, the mother-of-three – who has been married to Gerald Scarfe since 1981 – loves the simple life of reading, brain games and making cakes.
She told Yours magazine: “Of course, I’ve changed hugely and I really enjoy time at home watching TV. I like things that have lateral questions and are more about how your brain works.
I love doing The Times crossword puzzles. They’re maddening and infuriating, but because you’re worrying about something totally silly and unnecessary, it kind of takes stress away from other things. It’s a great distraction. I’ve also just rediscovered the joy of reading. I love technology but the simple pleasure of reading a book is great.”
The ‘Mandy’ star finds baking “super relaxing”.
She shared: “So many people took up baking during lockdown for the first time, which was wonderful. I did some too. Home baking is still a big part of my life and it’s super relaxing.
The feeling of pride you get putting a cake on the table for people to enjoy is lovely.”
She also loves sewing after getting to grips with the craft.
Jane told the publication: “I really really love it. The fabrics you can buy online are so beautiful and there’s a limitless choice. It’s much cheaper making a dress for someone than buying it, and you can make it unique.”
Elsewhere, the author admitted it’s unlikely she will pen another novel.
She said: “Id like to think so but whether I really will do another one, I don’t know. I always intended to write a fourth novel but it’s now such a long time since I wrote the others I think, realistically, it’s unlikely, but you never know.”
On what makes her happy, she added: “Looking out of the window and seeing a bit of sunshine after such a lot of rain makes a difference. It’s surprising how much of an effect the weather has an you. A nice warm, spring or summer day makes me happy!”

I don’t think about fame, says Joe Alwyn

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Alwyn doesn’t think “too much” about his own fame.
The 33-year-old actor enjoys his work – but Joe isn’t actually motivated by fame.
Joe – who previously dated pop star Taylor Swift for six years – told The Sunday Times newspaper: “It’s something I try not to think about too much because it is beyond my control.
“I try and focus on the things in my life that are important, authentic and mean something to me. Everything that happens outside of that I can only do so much about.”
Joe instead believes his life is made better through having healthy personal relationships and a happy working environment.
Listing some life-enhancing things, he shared: “Friends, family, work you care about, people you love.”
Joe is also keen to keep his personal life out of the spotlight, following his high-profile split from Taylor in 2023.
The actor explained: “I’m sure you can appreciate, given the level of noise and scrutiny about my past relationship, why I wouldn’t want to just open the door to things like that right now.”
Joe has largely succeeded in blocking out external noise.
He said: “I have brilliant, authentic people in my life. I try and live in reality and away from the kind of online noise of Twitter – or wherever else it comes from – and try and just stay in the moment.”
Joe is conscious of some of the online speculation about his personal life. However, he’s learned to focus on himself and to live in the present.
He shared: “I try and dial that volume down. I was obviously made aware of it and think that mistreating anyone, whether it’s in person or behind the anonymity of a keyboard, is shameful.”
