OHMYGOSSIP — Carol Burnett has no plans to retire.
The 91-year-old comedienne has been active in Hollywood for almost 70 years and is currently starring in Apple+ series ‘Palm Royale’ alongside Kristen Wigg and Ricky Martin but admitted as she was honoured with a Hand and Footprint Ceremony at TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday (20.04.24) that she wants to stay in the business as long as she is having a good time.
She told Fox News Digital: “Well, as long as it’s going to be fun. I’m in it for fun, All they had to do [for my latest role] was say who was in it and I said, ‘I’m there.’ I don’t care what you want me to do”
The esteemed actress became known for her starring in her self-titled sketch show in the late 1960s and is also known to family film audiences for her role as Miss Hannigan in the 1982 musical ‘Annie’ alongside Albert Finney.
Over the course of her career, she has earned numerous Emmy Awards and Golden Globes as well as two Tony Awards for her work on Broadway.
She now joins the likes of screen legends Judy Garland and Marilyn Monroe as well as other famous faces like ‘Harry Potter’ stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson as well as music icons like as Cher and Cyndi Lauper to have been honoured with an imprint ceremony at the famous tourist attraction.
Asked what she would like her legacy to be, she admitted that it was just that she would want to be remembered for cheering up those who needed it.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I get fan mail and what touches me the most is when somebody says, ‘When I was down… your show cheered me up.’ That would be the legacy I’d want!”

The 51-year-old Hollywood actor-turned-director – who was initially married to ’13 Going On 30′ actress Jennifer Garner and has Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and 12-year-old Samuel with her but tied the knot with pop superstar Jennifer Lopez in 2021 – admitted that he can be “a little shy” when strangers take his photo, although he ultimately doesn’t mind unless his children are involved.
Speaking on Kevin Hart’s ‘Hart to Heart’, he said: “I see myself as a director, but I’m a little bit shy. I also don’t like a lot of attention. This why people see me [and] they’re like, ‘Well, this dude always mad…’ Because somebody has their camera and sticking to my face.
“I don’t mind you taking my picture about a club, a premiere, whatever. My wife, I don’t give a f***. Go ahead. Knock yourself out. I don’t notice you.

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Alwyn feels “so lucky” to be “close” to co-star Emma Stone.
The 33-year-old British actor has starred alongside his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift’s best friend in two movies, Yorgos Lanthimos’ 2018 flick ‘The Favourite’ and their latest project ‘Kinds of Kindness’, and he admitted he’s honoured to have the ‘La La Land’ star in his life.
Speaking to ET, he said: “I’m so lucky to be close to her, she’s just the best.
“She’s obviously wildly talented and she’s just the best.”
Emma, 35, had praised Joe during the new movie’s production.
According to the outlet, she gushed: “I love Joe.
“We had to do some pretty dark stuff on this one, so it was extremely comforting to be with him because he’s one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet.”
This was reportedly before Joe had parted ways with 34-year-old pop megastar Taylor.
However, Joe said of the tight cast: “It’s so nice. It’s like a little theatre troop. Everybody changes part in each story, and when you’re with people you trust and you respect and you love, it makes it a whole lot easier.

The movie also stars Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau and Hunter Schafer.
The twisted tale is “a triptych fable, following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing at sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.”
Joe praising Emma comes days after he admitted he wants fans to understand the “difficulties” of his breakup from Taylor.
The pair dated from 2016 until 2023 and when asked if he thinks her latest album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ was inspired by their split, he explained that there were certain problems that came with the sudden end of his “loving, fully committed relationship” after such a long period of time.
He told The Sunday Times Style Magazine: “In thinking on what I was going to say, I would think and hope that anyone and everyone can empathise. … This isn’t a direct answer to your question, but just thinking about what I want to talk about.
“I would hope that anyone and everyone can empathise and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years. That is a hard thing to navigate.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Beyonce is no longer motivated by “charts and sales”.
Despite the record-breaking success of her polarising country album ‘Cowboy Carter’, the 42-year-old superstar insists she doesn’t get “excited” by chart positions and accolades anymore.
In a rare interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she said of the critics the record: “When you are breaking down barriers, not everyone is ready and open for a shift. But when I see Shaboozey [Cowboy Carter collaborator] tearing the charts up and all the beautiful female country singers flying to new heights, inspiring the world, that is exactly what motivates me.”
She added: “There was a time in my life when charts and sales excited and motivated me. Once you have challenged yourself and poured every ounce of your life, your pain, your growth and your dreams into your art, it’s impossible to go backward.
“I’m very grateful and humbled for the extraordinary success of the new album.”
Beyonce insists it’s the “music industry gatekeepers” who took offence to a Black woman doing a country record that traversed genres.
She said: “I’m honoured to introduce so many people to the roots of so many genres. I’m so thrilled that my fans trusted me. The music industry gatekeepers are not happy about the idea of bending genres, especially coming from a Black artist and definitely not a woman.”
The Grammy winner became the first Black woman with a number-one country song in Billboard history with the hit ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ from the LP.
One accolade she is still yet to receive is the Album of the Year award at the Grammys, despite being the most-decorated artist in the history of the prestigious awards ceremony.
Beyonce insisted she is not “stung” by the Grammys for the snub on a track on ‘Cowboy Carter’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Paloma Faith has deleted all her dating app profiles.
The ‘Upside Down’ singer, 42, married French artist Leyman Lahcine, 36, in 2017 and they had two daughters together before they split in 2022 after nine years together, and she has now told how she took herself off the sites as she was sick of men using them to simply look for sex.
She said on the ‘Dirty Mother Pukka’ podcast: “I have been on (all the dating sites) and deleted them as I feel so disheartened.
“I feel a lot of people on there aren’t looking for relationships.
“They are just looking for an easy way to completely ruin the sex industry and get it for free.”
Paloma added she also runs into trouble trying to date with a famous face, adding: “I think everyone I like is going to want to meet me and it isn’t always for the right reason. The other thing I’ve found is being ghosted.
“I’m like, ‘We already know I’m just way out of your league and you’re ghosting me! What’s going on?’”
Paloma admitted earlier this year having children with Leyman was the reason they split as she struggled to give him the same attention as when she wasn’t a mother.
The singer – who had their first daughter in December 2016, followed by their second in February 2021 – told The Independent: “You either grow together, adapting to one another like expandable foam and filling the gaps where it’s empty – or one person grows and the other stays the same.
“And I think for me, becoming a mother was such a massively life-changing experience that for the first time in my life, I needed more than nothing – and the expandable foam just wasn’t there.
“Our relationship ended because we have those children. And I think that was worth it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Luke Combs admitted missing the birth of his second son was “one of the worst days” of his life.
The ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ hitmaker was in Sydney, Australia in August 2023 when his wife Nicole went into labour two and a half weeks early and he recalled receiving a text message from her breaking the news while he was asleep.
Speaking on ‘The Zane Lowe Show’, he said: “I’ll never forget the craziest day, probably, in my life – close to it. One of the best and one of the worst days in my life at the same time.
“I probably woke up at around 8:00 a.m. or something like that, Australia time, and I had a text from my wife and it said, ‘I’m so sorry, I really tried to not have the baby while you’re gone.’ And God, dude, it sucked.”
Fortunately, the 34-year-old singer – who also has two-year-old Tex with his wife – was able to watch his son come into the world via video link.
He grew emotional as he said: “I got to see him be born, which was awesome. He wasn’t born yet, but my wife went, she texted me on the way to the hospital and he was two and a half weeks early and I was supposed to be home and I wasn’t.”
Luke’s tour had been due to end less than two weeks later before he then took more than a month off to be with his family.
The ‘Fast Car’ singer found it too painful a memory to look back on for his latest album ‘Fathers and Sons’.
He added: “And that was real hard to do and I haven’t really told anybody that. But I didn’t cover that too much in this album because it’s really hard for me to deal with.”
At the time, the couple waited until Luke was back home before announcing Beau’s birth.
They wrote in a joint Instagram post at the time: “8.15.2023 – Beau Lee Combs. Welcome to the world. We couldn’t love you more [blue heart emoji] (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jane Fonda has been left “heartbroken” by the death of the “brilliant” and “complex” Donald Sutherland.
The veteran actor passed away on Thursday (20.06.24) aged 88 following a long illness and his ‘Klute’ co-star – who he dated around the time of making the 1971 movie – has reflected on the “adventures” they enjoyed together.
She wrote on Instagram alongside a photo from the set of the movie: “I am stunned to hear that Donald Sutherland has died. He was my fascinating co-star in Klute and we loved working together.
“In this photo we are on the Klute set with director Alan Pakula.
“Donald was a brilliant actor and a complex man who shared quite a few adventures with me, such as the FTA Show, an anti-Vietnam war tour that performed for 60,000 active duty soldiers, sailors, and marines in Hawaii, Okinawa, the Philippines, and Japan in 1971.
“I am heartbroken.”
Dame Helen Mirren praised Donald – who she worked with on 2017’s ‘The Leisure Seeker’ – as “one of the smartest actors” she’d ever shared the screen with.
She told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement: “Donald Sutherland was one of the smartest actors I ever worked with. He had a wonderful enquiring brain, and a great knowledge on a wide variety of subjects.
“He combined this great intelligence with a deep sensitivity, and with a seriousness about his profession as an actor.
“This all made him into the legend of film that he became. He was my colleague and became my friend. I will miss his presence in this world.”
Michael Douglas also paid tribute to Donald, who he worked with on 1994’s ‘Disclosure’.
Sharing a photo of them in the mystery thriller, he wrote on Instagram: “What a lovely, talented, and curious man. RIP Donald Sutherland.”
Will Smith shared some photos from him and Donald working on their 1993 movie ‘Six Degrees of Separation’.
He simply captioned the post on Instagram: “Rest in Peace, Donald.”
The ‘Hunger Games’ star won numerous accolades during his career, including a Primetime Emmy Award and two Golden Globe Awards. However, he is widely regarded as one of the best actors never to have been nominated for an Oscar.
Donald is survived by his wife, Francine Racette, as well as his sons Roeg, Rossif, Angus, and Kiefer, and his daughter Rachel.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ice-T’s new tour bus smells of pain relief rub and air freshener.
The 66-year-old rapper is hitting the road with his heavy metal band ‘Body Count’ in Europe throughout July and he says his touring vehicle’s smells show how he has given up his wilder days.
He told People: “My tour bus used to smell like weed, condoms and alcohol. Now it smells like Bengay and potpourri.”
Ice-T founded Body Count in the early 1990s, with the group infamous for its raunchy, violent lyrics.
He has kept the group going while playing Detective Fin Tutuola on ‘Law and Order: SVU’ for the last 25 seasons of the show.
But with the drama on a break from filming until the middle of July, Ice is focusing on his music.
When asked if his family will also be hitting the road alongside him, Ice said: “Yeah. Everybody goes. We have two tour buses. We have the family bus, with all the guys’ wives and kids. Our front bus is very run by the women.
“Then we have the jail bus, which is all the roadies and all the guys that are by themselves. That’s a bad bus.”
Ice – born Tracy Lauren Marrow – has daughter Chanel, eight, with his wife of 22 years Coco Austin, 45, as well as his girl LeTesha Marrow, 48, and son Tracy Marrow Jr, 32, from previous relationships.
Ice’s boy performs with Body Count under the name Lil’ Ice, and the rapper said about his earlier days of touring: “When you are young and you’re out there, and you’re basically f****** everything that moves, tour is a whole other animal.”
But he said about how his life on the road has changed with age: “When you get older and you’re married, you don’t want to be away from your family.
“You want your wife out there. So it changes. That’s why I always tell people if you’re meeting a new band – stay clear!”
“At the end of the show we’re going to our hotel rooms – (it’s) quiet, everything.
“The young guys are out there (because) they have never seen anything like it. “I ran around the world three or four times by myself, so I don’t need to be out there by myself anymore.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Billy Ray Cyrus is accusing his estranged wife Firerose of charging nearly $97,000 on his credit card.
The ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ country singer, 62, married his Australian partner in October 2023, just under a year after they got engaged, but he filed for divorce from Firerose in late May after less than a year of marriage.
In a new filing, the performer has stated that between 23 May and 7 June Firerose racked up bills totalling $96,986.05 on 37 allegedly unauthorised charges to his credit card.
He says she used his business American Express card, which he argued she was never approved to handle.
Billy Ray asked a judge to grant an emergency restraining order to prevent his ex from utilising the card and others and requested she be ordered to pay him back every dollar spent so far.
But Firerose argued in her own court filing she’s had access to several of Billy Ray’s cards since they moved in together in 2022 and that she never had to abide by any limit.
She also said in her counter-suit she should be able to use their martial money while they’re still legally wed to support her established lifestyle.
Her filing claimed $45,000 of the money Billy Ray wants back was mistakenly charged by the law firm representing her and has already been refunded.
Billy Ray cited irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as the reason for wanting to divorce Firerose.
He also asked for annulment on the grounds of fraud.
It is unclear if Firerose’s nearly $100,000 of purchases are what he considers “inappropriate marital conduct”.
At the time they married, Billy Ray and Firerose said in a joint post on Instagram their wedding was the “most perfect, ethereal celebration of love”.
Billy split from his ex Tish Cyrus – with whom he has 31-year-old singer daughter Miley Cyrus – for the third time in April 2022 after 28 years of marriage.
Tish has moved on, marrying ‘Prison Break’ actor Dominic Purcell, 54, in August 2023.

OHMYGOSSIP — Celine Dion was “very, very nervous” to present Taylor Swift with an award at the Grammys.
The 56-year-old music icon – who suffers from muscle stiffness and painful spasms as a result of her Stiff Person Syndrome – was “honoured” to get the chance to hand over the gong for Album of the Year to pop superstar Taylor, 34 for her ‘Midnights’ record earlier this year but admitted that she was concerned how she would be able to cope with the situation amid her current health woes.
She told People: “It was an honour for me that they thought of me to present to Taylor Swift. It was [her] fourth [time] winning this award, which is exceptional. It was going to be my first time [back at the Grammys], and I didn’t want to feel wobbly. I was going to be very, very nervous and happy at the same time.
“The applause… am I going to have a shock by seeing [the audience]? I didn’t want anything bad to happen. Now I have heels and a dress that has a big opening on the leg, and I’m not sure if my legs are ready at that time. It was a lot.”
But in the end, the ‘My Heart Will Go On’ songstress was greeted with a standing ovation and realised in that moment that she has “missed” performing and still wants to be in the public eye despite her condition.
She said: “When I felt that love, I had no doubt that [this is what] I miss and what I want. To see that I’m still in it and that they allowed me to be there… I enjoyed every moment.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Singer Angela Bofill has died aged 70.
The R and B sensation – best known for hits including ‘This Time I’ll Be Sweeter’, ‘I Try’ and ‘Angel of the Night’ – passed away on Thursday (13.06.24) morning at her daughter’s home in Vallejo, California, it was revealed to People by her representative on Friday.
News of her death was also shared on the singer’s Facebook account in two separate posts on Friday, one of which said: “ON BEHALF OF MY DEAR FRIEND ANGIE, I AM SADDENED TO ANNOUNCE HER PASSING ON THE MORNING OF JUNE 13TH.”
The post added Angela’s funeral will be held at St Dominick’s Church in California on 28 June at 1pm.
A second update stated: “JUST TO CLEAR UP THE CONFUSION. ON BEHALF OF SHAUNA BOFILL, HUSBAND CHRIS PORTUGUESE, WE ARE SADDENED BUT MUST REPORT THAT THE PASSING OF ANGELA YESTERDAY IS INDEED TRUE. WE THANK MELBA MOORE AND MAYSA FOR THEIR EARLY CONDOLENCES. THANKS FOR YOUR MANY POST(S).”
The message was signed by Angela’s friend and manager Rich Engel.
Angela opened up about her life and career in 2020 to Essence after rumours of her death had circulated online just months before her chat.
She said she had found out about the hoax after she was hit by “a lot of calls” confirming if her passing was true.
Angela added: “Friends calling up: ‘Oh my God, am I talking to the ghost of Angela Bofill?’
“Thank God it’s not true.”
When asked how she felt to see the tributes pouring in during the death hoax, she replied: “You always must welcome love. I figured, ‘They really like me!’ “(I’m just) laughing at it, really. It’s better to have a sense of humour.”
Angela also said she had a will to live longer so she could see her grandchildren graduate from high school and college.
The rumours of Angela’s death spread after she suffered health complications in the wake of two strokes in 2006 and 2007.
She told The Denver Post in 2011 after a five-year break from showbusiness so she could focus on her health: “I feel happy performing again. I need (the) crowd – (it’s) in the blood (to) entertain.
“Any time a crowd comes to see me, I’m surprised. No sing no more and still people come. Wow. Impressed.”
Angela started recording music in her teens and released her first studio album ‘Angie’ in 1978.
She continued recording records into the 1990s, with some of her other hits including ‘Something About You’, ‘I’m on Your Side’, ‘Let Me Be the One’ and ‘I Just Wanna Stop’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan Trainor used to pretend she had diarrhoea so she could leave parties early.
The 30-year-old star, who has children Riley, three, and 11-month-old Barry with husband Daryl Sabara, admitted she used to present she had bowel issues if she wanted to duck out of a gathering, but now she puts the blame on her children.
She told the ‘Smallzy’s Surgery’ podcast: “The greatest thing ever is when you have kids you can be like, ‘Oh the baby needs me I gotta go.’
“I used to be like, ‘Oh no I have diarrhea’. And now the children are a good excuse now!”
Meghan made the confession during a game based on her single ‘Been Like This’ where she was asked to reveal if she’d done a certain thing or not.
As well as admitting she’d left parties early, she also revealed she has “left people on read” without responding to their messages.
She said: “I’ve been like that but on accident – and some on purpose.”
The ‘Dear Future Husband’ hitmaker – who insisted she is “never” late and “always on time” – was also asked if she has a fake social media profile to stalk people or leave comments under a pseudonym.
She replied: “Never, and I have never left a rude comment. I’m too afraid and I would never wanna hurt someone like that.”
However, Meghan admitted there were times when she wished she could respond to people anonymously, but it’s usually when trolls have been “so mean” online.
She said: “Only when they’re being so mean to me, or they’re like, ‘All your songs sound the same.'”
But she added: “I’m not gonna respond because then they win!”
Meanwhile, Meghan recently revealed she is inspired by being a parent, and finds her sons to be a huge source of drive and pride.
She told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “I had the best year of my career after my baby – because he inspired me to be the best version of me.
“Every morning I would walk in, just stare at him for about 45 minutes and think, ‘I’m going to get the healthiest I’ve ever been, be the most motivated, write the best songs I’ve ever written.
“‘I’m going to work my a*** off to show you that you can have it all, and you can live your dreams.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine, Princess of Wales made her first public appearance of the year on Saturday (15.06.24) morning.
he 42-year-old royal – who is married to Prince William and has Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, nine, and six-year-old Prince Louis with him – stepped back from official duties in January and announced towards the end of March that she had been undergoing preventative treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.
She joined her husband, and her children as well as King Charles and Queen Camilla at the annual Trooping the Colour when the working members of the royal family all stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace together to watch the flyover finale of the ceremonial event.
At one point, she turned to her father-in-law and giggled as she engaged in conversation with the monarch.
On Friday, Catherine addressed the public for the first time since announcing the news of her condition as she admitted she has been “blown away” by the support shown to her.
She said: “I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times.
“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days, you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.
“My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home.”

The 51-year-old singer has Junior, 18, and Princess, 16, from his previous marriage to Katie Price as well as Amelia, 10, and Theo, seven, with his wife Emily but after the couple welcomed baby Arabella into the world in April, he has admitted that he is probably done with having kids.

The 60-year-old actor – who has Matthew, 31, and 29-year-old John with his wife Sheryl Berkoff – recently celebrated 34 years alcohol-free whilst his youngest marked his sixth anniversary off the booze and he admitted that he never expected to have “shared this amazing journey” with his son but has found a new “joy” in their relationship because of it.
He told E! News: “On May 10th this year, I was able to get a 34-year chip of sobriety from my son. I can’t even begin to tell you what that level of gratitude, thankfulness, appreciation, and love feels like.

The former ‘Parks and Recreation’ star – who appears alongside Johnny in the Netflix drama ‘Unstable’ – also noted that another benefit of being sober is that he and his son are now up early in the morning to play golf when they go on vacation, as opposed to “dragging” themselves out of bed just before midday like they used to do.
He said: “When the family goes to Vegas and he and I are up at 7:30 in the morning golfing, that is very fun instead of waking up at 11 and dragging ourselves out to the pool..”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellen DeGeneres “needed time to recover” after the end of her talk show.
The 66-year-old comedienne brought her self-titled talk show to an end in mid-2022 after almost two decades on the air but now a close friend of the star has claimed that as she gears up to star in a final Netflix comedy special titled ‘Ellen’s Last Stand…Up’, she needed to make a comeback to the limelight.
The friend told PageSix: “She needed some time to recover. But she’s an artist, she wants to entertain — she can’t just sit at home.”
Ellen recently vowed to speak out on the way in which her long-running programme ended after its success was marred by accusations of toxic behaviour by several executives in 2020, who were subsequently let go.
She said in a statement: “To answer the questions everyone is asking me- Yes, I’m going to talk about it.
“Yes this is my last special. Yes, Portia really is that pretty in real life.”
Another friend of Ellen’s claimed to the outlet that the ‘Finding Nemo’ star – who has been married to model Portia de Rossi since 2008 – wants” to discuss all the ups and downs of her life so far.
They said: “Ellen is a comedian. They all have their peccadillos, but this is her life and she wants to talk about everything she went through and where she is now in her life, sharing who she is.”
“Look at Jerry Seinfeld, he does stand-up all the time. Why shouldn’t she get back on stage?”
Netflix’s Vice President of Stand-up and Comedy Formats, Robbie Praw, said of the upcoming special: “There is nobody quite like Ellen. She is a true legend and pioneer in so many ways. We can’t wait to bring fans another one of her hilarious comedy specials later this year.”
