Sabrina Carpenter reveals what she ‘has no control’ over amid global fame

OHMYGOSSIP — Sabrina Carpenter knows she “cannot control” the way others see her.
The 25-year-old singer started her career on Disney Channel more than a decade ago and has released a string of albums since but is now receiving global attention with her summer smash hit ‘Espresso’ and has to remind herself on a daily basis that she can do nothing about the way others perceive her.
She told Vanity Fair: “I think, for me, right now, you aren’t ever going to really fully control the way that people see you. That is something I have to re-accept every day. I’m at a point now where I’m just trying to not take it so seriously. The things that people say, I know that these people have very little context on me as an actual person so that makes me feel a little bit better.
The ‘Please Please Please’ songstress also noted that her “least favourite” thing about being on tour now is that anyone can capture her from an unflattering angle at any time but deals with it by pretending that it is an alter-ego of herself who takes to the stage.
“But if I’m gonna be super real…do I like that someone can just take a photo from the craziest angle on human earth? No…but because I’m a girl and you know…that’s maybe my least favourite thing about being on tour. Because I’ll be like ‘That’s what I look like?’ But it’s a video so I’ll just think ‘Oh that was some other girl, that was my alter ego. That wasn’t me out there!'”
Sabrina also noted that her “self-development” has been a process of learning not to worry about mistakes she has made in the past and focusing on what memories she wants to take into the future.
She said: “It’s a process of making mistakes and not trying to stay up worrying about those mistakes. I think it’s a mixture of that and then trying not to take it all so seriously. I guess what they say is that it’s the times you’re gonna look back on. I try to make decisions now that I’m afraid to make because I’m young and I can get away with it.”

The reality star – who has Melia, three, and five-year-old Maddox with her estranged husband – cited “irreconcilable differences” in the divorce papers and thanked her co-stars Chrishell Stause and Emma Hernan for their ongoing support through the tough time.
She added: “Chrishell and Emma, who are my best friends in the entire world, they’ve been my rocks throughout this season. The funny thing is that when you associate yourself with the mess, you end up in mess too. So, unfortunately, they got themselves intertwined a little bit but they’re here for it..”
Chelsea is seeking spousal support but has not asked the court to terminate Jeff’s ability to also request alimony payments.
There is no mention of a pre-nuptial agreement but the reality TV star wants the court to determine how their assets should be divided.#

Reflecting on how they got together, Chelsea previously told MailOnline: “We spoke about 15 times before getting together.

Jenna Dewan’s kids always come first

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenna Dewan’s kids always “come first”.
The 43-year-old star – who has Everly, 11, with ex-husband Channing Tatum, and four-year-old Callum, as well as another baby on the way, with fiance Steve Kazee – has been adapting and changing according to the needs of her growing family, but her children are her number one priority, no matter what.
She told People magazine: “Like everything else in life, you learn as you go. You shift and evolve and you adapt to how life is presenting itself to you. That includes getting the new normal of a blended family.
“Kids always come first. How you feel about your kids. How you treat your kids. Kids always come first above everything else.”
The ‘Step Up’ actress’ daughter is particularly excited about Jenna’s pregnancy.
She said: “[Everly] is the oldest, so she gets it the most. And I think because she was still so young when Callum was born, this will be really special for her.
“She’s just going to have more responsibility, but she’s also going to have more wisdom to her.”
The ‘Rookie’ star welcomes having another child in her 40s because she thinks she has learned a lot from her life experiences.
She said: “It feels like I always knew that this would probably be the path for me, even as a kid. I think I knew life got better as I got older if that makes sense.
“I’d never understood that like, ‘Oh no, it’s all over once we get older.’
“Life’s only shown me that the more time I have in this life, the more I’ve learned, the better experiences I’ve had. Everything just kind of feels better.”
Though Jenna isn’t planning to stop working when the baby arrives, she knows she will need to make some “lifetyle and home changes” to juggle everyone’s needs.
She said: “There’s three schedules versus two, and I do work full-time, and it’s a giant moving calendar at all times.
“But I have an incredible partner and I’ve gotten it a little bit down now, how to multitask with schedules. You have to be okay to be open and ask for help when you need it.
“I do think there’s something about being in the energy of kids and their lives.
“Just everything you go through while raising kids keeps you in a youthful place because that’s what you’re around. That’s your life.”

Travis Scott arrested for disorderly intoxication

OHMYGOSSIP — Travis Scott was arrested on Thursday (20.06.24) morning.
The ‘Sicko Mode’ rapper – whose real name is Jacques Webster – was booked at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at 4.35am on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing on a property after a warning in Miami.
Police set a bond at $650 – $150 for the intoxication charge and $500 for the trespass – which he submitted, the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column reports.
According to local news outlet WSVN, the 33-year-old musician had been on a charter boat in the Miami Beach Marina when the vessel’s owner caused police and asked that Travis leave between midnight and 1am.
A police spokesperson told the TV station: “He was drunk, causing a disturbance and asked to leave multiple times.
“[Travis] became irate, screaming profanities, left and returned to disturb some more.”
A police report obtained by TMZ explained cops responded to a fight on one of the boats, and when they arrived Travis was arguing with the occupants on one of the yachts, but the person who reported him asked the officers to remove him.
Police started to escort Travis away – allegedly while he yelled obscenities – and took him to his waiting car past the docks, but he then returned five minutes later and was intercepted as he attempted to head back to the boat.
At this point, the ‘Antidote’ rapper is said to have become erratic and belligerant, and so he was arrested.
Cops arrested Travis at 1.17am, half an hour after arriving at the scene, before officially booking him three hours later.
A spokesperson for the star – who has children Stormi, six, and two-year-old Aire with former partner Kylie Jenner – has yet to comment.
However, sources close to Travis told TMZ he had been partying and things got a little out of hand between him and the staff when he refused to leave, but they stressed the situation never got violent.

The iconic actor – who starred in films such as ‘The Hunger Games’ and ‘Animal House’ – has passed away after a long illness.
Alongside a throwback photograph, his son, actor Kiefer Sutherland, said on X: “With a heavy heart, I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away. I personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film. Never daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly. He loved what he did and did what he loved, and one can never ask for more than that. A life well lived.”
The actor enjoyed his breakthrough role in the 1970s, when he played a surgeon called ‘Hawkeye’ Pierce in the hit TV show ‘M*A*S*H’.
Sutherland ultimately became one of the most sought-after leading men in the movie business, as he starred in the horror film ‘Invasion of the Body Snatchers’ and in the National Lampoon comedy ‘Animal House’.
He also appeared alongside Sir Sean Connery in the heist comedy film ‘The First Great Train Robbery’, which proved to be a critical and commercial success.

Jax Taylor reveals frustrations over The Valley

OHMYGOSSIP — Jax Taylor was “shocked” by how season one of ‘The Valley’ was edited.
The 44-year-old star is set to begin shooting season two of the reality TV series in July, and he’s determined to ensure that some important moments aren’t overlooked this time around.
Jax – who split from Brittany Cartwright earlier this year – said on the ‘When Reality Hits’ podcast: “We are starting back up. I don’t know if I’m allowed to say the day but in July. A lot is going down. A lot is going to happen.”
The reality star subsequently questioned how season one of the show was edited, and Jax is insistent that the same thing won’t happen during season two of ‘The Valley’.
He explained: “You guys are in for it because I’m going to make sure there are things that are going to be told this time. I feel like everything wasn’t let out of the bag. There was a lot of like, ‘Why wasn’t this shown?’
“That’s not going to happen. Some of you people are going to be in for a surprise.”
Brittany and Jax announced their split earlier this year – but she subsequently admitted that a reconciliation remained possible.
Brittany told Us Weekly: “There’s definitely a chance. But I won’t waste my time and get back into a toxic situation.
“Now the veil has been lifted and I see how much I was always cleaning up Jax’s messes. I’m thrown in the middle of all these fights and constantly forced to apologise for him in the media and to friends. It’s hard.”
Brittany feels she doesn’t need Jax in order to thrive.
She shared: “I feel really strong.
“At the beginning, I was freaking out. I came to Los Angeles for Jax and we moved in together immediately, so I’ve never been here by myself. But now I have my own friends and my own money.”

I’d love to star on The Traitors, says Lala Kent

OHMYGOSSIP — Lala Kent would love to star on ‘The Traitors’.
The 33-year-old reality star has already been approached about appearing on the hit TV series and although she hasn’t been able to commit to the programme, Lala would still love to do it one day.
Asked about the possibility during an Amazon Live, Lala explained: “The timing would have to be different. Season two, they approached me to gauge my interest on joining, and the timing was just really hard. So I never really say no to opportunity.”
The reality star admitted to being a big fan of the show.
She said: “I feel like Traitors would be just really fun. I’m excited to see season three because I feel like they have a really great cast. I’m sitting here like, ‘Wow.’”
Earlier this month, Lala admitted that she’s “open” to exploring a career away from ‘Vanderpump Rules’.

Jessica Alba ‘spent months preparing for Trigger Warning’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Alba spent “a few months” training for her role in ‘Trigger Warning’.
The 43-year-old actress returned to the movie business to star in the new action thriller film, and Jessica has now revealed how she prepared for her role.
The brunette beauty – whose previous film, ‘Killers Anonymous’, was released in 2019 – told ‘Extra’: “I would say [the training] was very humbling in the beginning. Just, like, moving around and learning choreography. And then I worked with many different knives.
“Just learning how to do hand to hand combat and fight with knives and I’m so literal.
“I’m like, ‘Where exactly am I hitting?’ or ‘Where is this stabbing?’, like, ‘What organ is this piercing?’ or ‘What tendon is this taking out?’ For me, I need to know what it was doing in order to feel connected to it.”
Jessica hopes her female fans will be able to see themselves in Parker, her on-screen character.
The actress said: “I think any woman or man who feels like there are these like bigger powers that control everything and can get away with doing bad stuff, being able to have a hero and just knowing how capable we are and if everyone sort of works as team, you can fight this negative energy or this darkness. So, I think that’s kind of the metaphor here is good people can win in the end.”
Jessica stepped down from her role as the chief creative officer of Honest Company, her beauty and baby brand, in order to refocus on her acting career.
Speaking about her return, Jessica previously told Us Weekly: “It’s been 12 years, so I think it’s time to get back into entertainment and also think about what else I want to create or do.
“I have a movie actually coming out June 21st for Netflix called ‘Trigger Warning’. It’s an action movie and I executive produced it. So, I’m excited.”

Selflessness is key to happiness, says Tom Brady

The 46-year-old star learned some important life lessons during his sporting career, and Tom has now explained how his time in the NFL has influenced his thinking.
The Super Bowl-winning star told PEOPLE: “It’s really about being selfless.
“I was a part of a culture that was about being totally selfless. There was a great line that [famed basketball coach] John Wooden said: ‘Happiness begins where selfishness ends’.
“That’s the way it was with my football teammates. We were just a bunch of people that love being together and we didn’t care who got the credit. We just wanted to win. That’s a really unique thing.”
Tom believes that this mentality has helped him in his post-sports career.
The former New England Patriots star – who has Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11, with ex-wife Gisele Bundchen, as well as Jack, 16, with his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan – explained: “When I think about this next part of my life beyond football, it’s the same thing: being around great people that support you, that give you feedback. If you want something to be successful, it’s all the same fundamentals as sports.”
Tom and Gisele announced their split in 2022, and the sports icon previously insisted that his children would be his number one priority moving forwards.
He wrote on Instagram: “In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage. Pixie Lott was ‘broken’ by her West End experience

The 33-year-old pop star has revealed that she struggled to cope while she was appearing in a stage production of ‘Breakfast At Tiffany’s’.
Pixie told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “It was based on the book, not the film.
“The film is a lot lighter. But in the book she loses everything – her husband, her baby, her life, her cat. Everything.
“By the end of the show, I was on the floor of the stage crying my eyes out. Night after night after night for about a year, eight shows a week.
“I ended up doing that more than I was being myself.
“By the end, I was a completely broken version of myself. I couldn’t function properly at all.
“It really affected me mentally. And I’d never had anything like that before. I was living with it for a couple of years. It took me a while to get out of that frame of mind.”
Pixie actually researched a range of possible solutions to her issues.
The pop star has now emerged from a dark period in her life and she’s looking to the future with a renewed sense of optimism.
The ‘Boys and Girls’ hitmaker – who married model Oliver Cheshire in 2022 – said: “I was Googling everything to try and find ways to kind of get out.
“The first thing that popped up that was a natural way was meditation. I just got in a taxi and went to the closest meditation class.
“I got a new perspective on things. And it got me out of that situation, basically. But yeah, it was really, really tough for a while.”

Desperate Housewives changed everything, says Eva Longoria

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Longoria’s ‘Desperate Housewives’ stint “changed everything” for her.
The 49-year-old actress played Gabrielle Solis on the hit TV programme between 2004 and 2012, and Eva has confessed to being shocked by the show’s popularity.
She said on ‘Today with Hoda and Jenna’: “It was a decade of my life and it was the No. 1 show in the world.
“I just remember the first time I went to London, I had never been to London before and there was a big crowd of people outside the hotel, and I was like, ‘Gosh, who’s here? Is Bono here? Somebody important must be here!’ And the driver was like, ‘… You…’ And I was like, ‘No, somebody like, big. Like a big deal!’
“And he didn’t understand that I didn’t understand. The global reach of that show, at the time where there was no streaming.”
On the other hand, Eva admitted to having some regrets about her character’s fashion sense.
The brunette beauty said: “I think, ‘Whose bright idea was it to have those skinny jeans with a zipper this big, below the hips?’ Who?
“They were low rise. I mean, low, low, low … nobody misses them, at all.”
Meanwhile, Eva previously revealed that she considers her political activism to be more important than her popularity.
The Hollywood star has been outspoken about various political and social issues over the years – but Eva isn’t worried about losing fans because of her views.
She told ELLE: “There are things that are a lot more important than box office and viewers.
“Women’s rights are very important. The dismantling of human rights, of health care systems, of education systems. The banning of books. These are very dangerous things that need to be talked about, looked at, voted on, and advocated for. So it’s not an ‘Oooh, do I do it?’ I have to do it. It is nonnegotiable.
“I don’t ever think, ‘I’m going to alienate half an audience’ or ‘I’m going to lose some Twitter fans.’ That doesn’t matter to me if I’m saving democracy.”
