Alec Baldwin thanks wife Hilaria for support

OHMYGOSSIP — Alec Baldwin has thanked wife Hilaria for her support through the “good and bad” times.
The former ’30 Rock’ actor marked his 12th wedding anniversary with a touching tribute to the yoga instructor – with whom he has Carmen, 10, Rafael, eight, Leonardo, seven, Romeo, five, Eduardo, three, Lucia, also three, and 19-month-old Ilaria – and hailed his spouse a “gift”.
Also making reference to daughter Ireland Baldwin – his daughter from his marriage to Kim Basinger – her partner André Anjos aka RAC, and their 13-month-old daughter Holland, Alec shared some photos from his wedding on Instagram and wrote: “Although I fell in love with you the moment I met you, marrying you seemed like a dream. Good and bad. Ups and downs. 7 kids. (Plus Ireland, Andre and Holland.) Four dogs. Four cats.
“In spite of some tough times for me, I wouldn’t trade any of it. Happy Anniversary. You are my gift.”
In her own anniversary post, 40-year-old Hilaria also reflected on the “joyful ups and sad downs” that she and her 66-year-old husband have experiencded in their marriage.
She wrote: “Happy 12 years of marriage, Alec…not only have there been joyful ups and sad downs that life inevitably brings, but we have also experienced everything from sideways, zigzags, tremendous love and also things that are so painfully and plainly backwards.
“We hang on tight…hold on to family and friends to source our comfort and energy. Lean in to gratitude to brighten every day.”
“How lucky am I to have you and our children, Alec. I know I am not here on this page much, as of late, but I will be again….i want you, who is reading this, to know I am grateful to all of you who make this page a supportive community. I hope you feel how much your kindness is a gift that we will forever treasure.
“I love you, Alec [heart emoji] (sic)”
The couple’s anniversary posts come just days before Alec is due to face trial for involuntary manslaughter.
The ‘Boss Baby’ star is due in court on 9 July in relation to the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was fatally shot on the set of ‘Rust’ in October 2021 when a prop gun being held by the actor discharged.
Alec has insisted he didn’t pull the trigger and didn’t know why the gun contained live ammunition.
The film’s armourer, Hannah Guiterrez-Reed, was previously sentenced to 18 months in prison after being found guilty of involuntary manslaughter.

Mel C dreams of Spice Girls’ Glastonbury appearance

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel C’s “absolute dream” is to headline Glastonbury with the Spice Girls.
The ‘I Turn To You’ singer – who played the Avalon Stage at the festival last year and had a DJ slot in 2022 – admitted it would be “quite nice” to take a turn on the Pyramid Stage at the annual music extravaganza, but it would be particularly special to do so with the rest of the ‘Wannabe’ hitmakers.
Speaking to Chris Moyles on Radio X, she said: “Well, it would be quite nice to do it on my own, wouldn’t it? I might have some new music out. Well, I will have some new music out next year.”
Asked if she wants to “do it with them other girls you used to be in a band with?”, Mel replied: “Do you know what? I think there’s room for both.
“The absolute ultimate would be to do it with the Spice Girls. There’s nothing I would like more.
“But you know, while they’re still making their minds up… I’ll keep practising.”
The 50-year-old singer laughly suggested people should “manifest” the group appearing in the hope it becomes such a strong rumour, organisers will feel compelled to book the ‘Stop’ singers.
She said: “Shall we start the rumour already? It doesn’t get rumoured every year! It’s something you never hear! Let’s all manifest!”
This isn’t the first time Mel has expressed a desire to play Glastonbury with Mel B, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham.
She said: “Glastonbury is so magical, and it’s the ultimate British festival without a doubt.
“One day a Spice Girls performance there would be a great thing. We would love to grace that stage.”
Asked if another reunion would include Victoria, she added: “That would be the ultimate dream. The door is always open for Victoria, we would love to see her back. We keep our fingers crossed.”

Kerry Washington wants her children to ‘define a life for themselves’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Washington keeps her children out of the spotlight so they can “define a life for themselves”.
The ‘Scandal’ actress and her husband Nnamdi Asomugha largely keep their relationship out of the public eye so feel it is only fair to do the same for their 10-year-old daughter Isabelle, son Caleb, seven, and the former NFL player’s teenage daughter, who he has with a previous partner.
Kerry told People magazine: “I think just from the very beginning, Nnamdi and I have been really protective of our partnership and our relationship, because we wanted it to belong to us, and we found that we were able to define and create a relationship for ourselves and with each other outside of the public eye.
“And I think in many ways, we just want to give our kids that same opportunity to define a life for themselves and to enter the public space in their own way.”
But the 47-year-old star admitted she and Nnamdi are “definitely not as protective as [they] used to be,” and their kids still get to enjoy their lives.
She laughed: “They’re not, like, locked in a dungeon. They do, you know, come to set, we go places, we do things.
“We do feel like we want to give them agency to engage in a public life in the way they want to, because this is what we do.
“We’ve chosen to be athletes and artists, and that’s our choice. But we want to let them be kids.”
Kerry previously admitted there are times she’s desperate to share some footage of her “amazing” children but has learned to do so in a relatively private way.
She told ‘Sunday Today’: “I have moments where I take pictures or videos of one of my three amazing kids and I wanna post it online, and I tend to just send it to my parents or my shrink instead.
“I’m like, ‘My kids are so cute and I don’t wanna post about them, so look how cute they are!’ ”

Eddie Murphy says Marlon Brando despised ‘kid with gun’ Clint Eastwood

OHMYGOSSIP — Eddie Murphy says Marlon Brando told him he despised “that kid with the gun” Clint Eastwood.
The ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ actor and comic, 63, opened up about his encounter with ‘On the Waterfront’ acting icon Marlon – who died in 2004 aged 80 from respiratory and heart failure after falling into morbid obesity – in a chat with the New York Times podcast ‘The Interview’.
He said about Marlon slamming Clint, 94, when he visited him after finishing his first film role in 1982’s ’48 Hrs.’ alongside Nick Nolte: “This is how long ago it was: He was going, ‘I can’t stand that kid with the gun’.
“I was like, ‘What kid with the gun?’ He said, ‘He’s on the poster!’
“I was like, ‘Clint Eastwood?’ ‘Yeah, that guy!’
“He was calling Clint Eastwood ‘that kid’.
Marlon was only six years older than Western hero Clint, who celebrated his 94th birthday in May and is still making movies.
Eddie said his time in Marlon’s home when he blasted Clint was the second time they had met.
He added the first was at a rooftop restaurant at the L’Ermitage hotel in Los Angeles, and said he cherished both meetings.
Eddie said: “I was having these famous people that I grew up watching on television wanting to have a meal with me.
“After ‘48 Hrs.’, Marlon Brando calls my agent and wants to meet me.
“Now I look back and go, ‘Wow, that’s crazy. The greatest actor of all time wants to have dinner with you!’
“But back then I just thought, ‘Well, that’s the way it is. You make a movie, and Marlon Brando calls’.”
Eddie also said that during their second meeting Marlon was “just going on and on” about his appearance in 1972’s ‘The Godfather’ while deriding the artform of acting.
He added: “(Marlon) was like, ‘Eh, ‘The Godfather’. Not just ‘The Godfather’ – acting.
“He was like, ‘Acting is bulls***, and everybody can act’.”
Marlon famously spent most of life slamming actors – including himself – as lying entertainers, frauds and pretenders, with his 1994 memoir ‘Songs My Mother Taught Me’ packed with passages of self-hatred.

Sir Ian McKellen pulls out of play tour after nightmare stage fall

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Ian McKellen has pulled out of the UK tour of his new play as he continues to recover from a horror stage fall.
The ‘The Lord of the Rings’ acting veteran, who turned 85 in May, was rushed to hospital on 17 June from the Noel Coward Theatre on London’s West End when he lost his footing in a fight scene while playing Shakespeare’s drunken raconteur John Falstaff in a production of ‘Player Kings’ and plunged from the stage into the audience.
Despite reports soon after his fall he would rejoin the cast when the play goes on tour across Britain, Ian has now said he has been forced to withdraw with “the greatest reluctance” as he is taking medical advice to “protect my recovery”.
The actor added in a statement on Monday (01.07.24): “Two weeks after my accident onstage, my injuries improve day by day.
“It’s with the greatest reluctance that I have accepted the medical advice to protect my full recovery by not working in the meantime.
“I had been so looking forward to bringing ‘Player Kings’ to theatre-goers in Bristol, Birmingham, Norwich and Newcastle.
“But I can assure them that, with David Semark now playing Falstaff, Robert Icke’s production and his acting company remain as dazzling as ever. Go see for yourself!”
After his fall, the rest of Sir Ian’s performances for the last week of ‘Player Kings’ run in in London were cancelled to allow him to rest.
The production came to a finish in the city on 22 June, but Sir Ian was expected to rejoin the cast when the play started on its UK tour with a show in Bristol on 3 July.
A statement from the production added about his exit from the tour: “Following Ian McKellen’s injury during the West End run of ‘Player Kings’, his doctors’ advice is to take time off from work in order to fully recover.
“As such, he will not be returning to play Sir John Falstaff in the national tour of ‘Player Kings’ (3–27 July 2024.)
“Ian continues to recuperate very well, but he needs the time to rest and ensure a complete recovery. We continue to send him our best wishes.
“As it was for the final West End performances, the role of Falstaff will now be performed by David Semark, Ian’s brilliant understudy, for all tour dates of ‘Player Kings’.”

Martina Navratilova slams Taylor Swift ‘not a role model’ article ‘misogynistic bulls***’

OHMYGOSSIP — Martina Navratilova is slamming an article that branded Taylor Swift a bad role model for being childless and unmarried aged 34 as “misogynistic bulls***”.
The tennis icon, 67, who has been married to Russian model and ‘Real Housewives of Miami’ regular Julia Lemigova, 52, since 2014, is considering adopting children with her partner after the former athlete beat two forms of cancer in 2023.
Martina – who like her wife is a renowned Taylor Swift fan – hit out in a post on X in which she reshared an extract from a now-controversial article published by Newsweek last week in which reporter John Mac Ghlionn called the performer “not a good role model” as she hasn’t married or settled with a family aged 34.
The tennis ace started her attack on the op-ed by reposting a message about the piece by Indian writer Kiran Mandral, 53, who slated the Newsweek article “barf inducing” and “vomit worthy”.
Martina added about the piece: “A massive pile of misogynistic bull(three poo emojis.)
“This guy should be ashamed of himself and I can’t believe he writes for Newsweek…and they printed it. I mean… .”
John Mac Ghlionn wrote in his piece: “At 34, Swift remains unmarried and childless, a fact that some might argue is irrelevant to her status as a role model. But, I suggest, it’s crucial to consider what kind of example this sets for young girls.
“A role model, by definition, is someone worthy of imitation. While Swift’s musical talent and business acumen are certainly admirable, even laudable, we must ask if her personal life choices are ones we want our sisters and daughters to emulate.
“This might sound like pearl-clutching preaching, but it’s a concern rooted in sound reasoning.”
The piece was picked up by Taylor’s army of ‘Swiftie’ fans who shared it online with fierce attacks on John.
One furious online user said: “I look forward to follow-up articles commenting about the failure of Keanu Reeves, Charlize Theron, Diane Keaton, Leo DiCaprio, Chris Evans, Jared Leto and Jon Hamm to be good role models by marrying and having children.”
Martina also replied to the comment, saying: “Right? Misogynist AF!!! And btw – Taylor never claimed she was a role model, ASAIK (as soon as I know.) “Also remember Charles Barkley’s comment years ago about role models? And generally speaking, athletes are more likely to be held out as role models than pop stars etc, for obvious reasons… .”
Martina was referring to the 1990s Nike advert in which former basketball hero Charles, now 61, declared he was not a role model and that children should be taught to emulate their parents, not athletes or celebrities.
It came after the NBA hit the player with a one-game suspension and $10,000 fine in 1991 after he tried to spit at a racist heckler seated courtside in New Jersey but instead ended up hitting an eight-year-old fan.
Sources have said Taylor and her NFL player boyfriend Travis Kelce, 34, are planning to get engaged this year after they started dating last summer.

Steven Van Zandt reveals staying apart from wife is secret of their happy marriage

OHMYGOSSIP — Steven Van Zandt says staying apart from his wife for a total of 10 years is the secret to their happy 42-year marriage.
The actor and E Street Band guitarist, 73, git hitched to actress Maureen Santoro in New York City on 31 December, 1982 – with the pair starring together on ‘The Sopranos’ as a married couple – and he has now revealed they keep their relationship in harmony as he has spent around a decade in total working on his music and acting away from home.
He told People: “As I often say, the key to staying together is stay apart. We’ve been together, God, what is it now, 40-plus years and probably have spent about 10 years of that together out of the 40, because I’m always on the road.
“So, you go home, and it’s always new again.”
Steven – who recently released his HBO documentary ‘Stevie Van Zandt: Disciple’, added while he was away Maureen kept busy with her projects.
He said: “I think there is something to keeping one’s own identity. She’s a very, very strong person.
“She has a theatre company. She’s the real actor in the family. She’s the real thing.
“Aside from her literary knowledge, she teaches acting to American Ballet Theater. She was a ballet dancer.
“I think finding a way to keep one’s identity and making sure that one plus one equals three rather than one plus one equals one-and-a-half, which you see all the time in relationships where people just start to lose their identity and compromise it in order to get along.”
Steven added despite his and Maureen’s strong personalities, they have made their marriage work by putting in place “some boundaries” and “allowing the other one to have their very strong identity”.
When Steven landed his role as Tony Soprano’s right-hand man Silvio Dante on HBO’s hit mafia drama ‘The Sopranos’, Maureen also got onboard by portraying his partner Gabriella Dante.
The rocker said getting his part on the landmark series was part of him being brought back from the showbusiness “wilderness”.
He added about how the role was a “rebirth” for his career and life: “That was a gift from (‘The Sopranos’ creator) David Chase.
“He handed me a new craft, right on time.”
After taking the part, he also rejoined the E Street Band after years away from the group, with his acting career continuing with his lead role as a former gangster in the comedy-drama TV show ‘Lilyhammer’.

Jamie Foxx’s mystery hospitalisation sparked by ‘bad headache’ that left him ‘gone’ for nearly three weeks

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Foxx’s mystery hospitalisation was due to the actor being stricken with a “bad headache” that left him “gone” for nearly three weeks.
The ‘Ray’ Oscar-winner, 56, has kept the reason for his mystery hospitalisation under wraps until now, after his daughter Corinne Foxx, 30, revealed on April 12 last year he had “experienced a medical complication” but that “due to quick action and great care,” he was “already on his way to recovery”.
Jamie has now been recorded by fans in Phoenix saying that a day before his girl’s announcement he suffered an excruciating headache and asked his “boy for Advil”.
He is then seen on the footage snapping his fingers as he said: “I was gone for 20 days.”
Jamie added he does not “remember anything” about his illness.
He also said he was in Atlanta when he was hospitalised, adding his sister and daughter took him to “the first doctor” they could find.
Jamie went on: “Next doctor said, ‘There’s something going on up there.”
But he said about his head condition: “I won’t say it on camera.”
Three weeks after his daughter’s initial announcement about his medical emergency, Jamie posted a message on his Instagram Story that said: “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed (praying hands, red heart and fox emojis.)”
When rumours of what may have happened to him began circulating online, Corinne updated fans to say her father had been “out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating.”
She added: “In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!”
It wasn’t until last July Jamie gave more details about his condition, saying it was a “hellish” experience.
But he did not reveal any diagnosis.
He added: “I went through something I thought I would never, ever go through.”
But he stressed he was never left “blind” or “paralysed”.
Jamie added with tears in his eyes in his selfie-style video update: “I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear an update, but to be honest with you, I didn’t want you to see me like that, man.
“I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through.”
Jamie was seen returning to shooting the ‘Back in Action’ film with co-star Cameron Diaz, 51, in Atlanta in January – the movie he had been shooting when he fell ill.

Pamela Anderson marks 57th birthday by vowing to ‘make life beautiful no matter what it takes’

OHMYGOSSIP — Pamela Anderson marked her 57th birthday by declaring she is determined to “make life beautiful no matter what it takes”.
The ‘Baywatch’ actress enjoyed the milestone on Monday (01.07.24), and also celebrated it by posting a series of snaps on her social media of herself gardening and baking.
A photo among her Instagram slideshow – which appeared to be in Pamela’s handwriting – said: “I’m going to make life beautiful no matter what it takes.
“Happier than ever. Thank you for all the love and birthday wishes. Love, P.”
Pamela’s birthday declaration comes after she last month went make-up free to show fans her $134 skincare regime.
She detailed her process in an Instagram clip to celebrate the one-year anniversary of her skincare brand Sonsie.
It showed her going through a three-step morning routine, which she captioned: “@sonsieskin turns 1 year old today! Our little family is getting bigger and bigger and I’m so grateful for all of you who have joined us… together, we are spreading a message of self-care and self-love around the world.
“We have so many exciting things in the works this year and I can’t wait to share!”
Pamela’s video was soundtracked by TLC’s ‘Waterfalls’, and showed her applying her brand’s hydrating Super Serum, which sells for $64.
It is formulated with niacinamide, inflammation-busting mountain pepper extract and the brand’s plant oil complex.
She then applies a Multi Moisture Mask ($48), said to be packed with hydrating hyaluronic acid, antioxidant-rich prickly pear extract and glycerin to help stop moisture loss.
Pamela then put on her brand’s $22 Basic Balm, which contains sunflower seed wax and a citrus extract.
The actress turned beauty entrepreneur now regularly goes make-up free and recently told how she “never wanted to wear a dress” growing up.
She told Highsnobiety about how she always considered herself a “tomboy” despite her glamorous image at the height of her ‘Baywatch’ fame: “My face gets more interesting with age… I’m a tomboy!
“I was actually always a tomboy growing up.
“I never wanted to wear a dress. I was athletic. I made mud pies.”
Pamela, who has also discussed her tomboy nature in her memoir ‘Love, Pamela’ and in the Netflix documentary ‘Pamela, A Love Story’, added her choice to drop make-up is part of a “healing experience” in her life, which has seen her married five times.
Despite her turbulent love life, which saw Pamela left scarred by the leaking of a sex tape she made with her ex-partner Tommy Lee, 61, she went on: “Love is the most important thing in the world. So if you’re in love, you’re brave, and it’s an important thing to cherish.
“Being lonely is good. If you can be alone, then you can be with another person, probably.
“I know nothing when it comes to relationships.
“You fall in love with people there to expose a part of yourself that you need to get through. Relationships are mirrors.
“You can love somebody, but you can’t change them. And sometimes the most loving thing to do is get out of the way!”

Taylor Swift partied with Stevie Nicks at Irish pub after Dublin shows ended

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift partied with Stevie Nicks and her boyfriend at an Irish bar after her last Dublin performance on her ‘Eras Tour’.
The ‘Shake it Off’ singer, 34, was with the Fleetwood Mac veteran, 76, as well as her partner Travis Kelce, also 34, along with her tour’s European opening act Paramore at the Hacienda bar in the capital.
In a post on Facebook on Monday (01.07.24) the pub said: “Great to welcome Taylor Swift with all her musicians and dancers to the Hacienda last night. “Special to also welcome Superbowl champion Travis Kelce, the legendary Stevie Nicks and Paramore.”
The Hacienda – which is beloved by celebs and has been dubbed Dublin’s “best kept secret” – added the group had “such a warm and genuinely friendly night” together.
It also said: “We did not request our ‘usual’ Hacienda photo so as to allow Taylor and friends the chance to properly relax and enjoy their well-deserved time off.”
The bar’s proprietor Shay is renowned for posting photos of the many A-list visitors to the haunt, including snaps of Olivia Rodrigo, Ed Sheeran and Teddy Swims.
Taylor partied at the bar just after finishing her three-night run of shows at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium over the weekend.
Fans were convinced Kelce, 34, surprised Swift by showing up to her performance on Sunday (30.06.24) after attending his friend’s wedding in California the evening before as she looked overjoyed on stage when she spotted him in the crowd.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end watched his girlfriend’s show from a VIP tent, where other A-list guests included Stevie Nicks, Julia Roberts and ‘Bridgerton’ actress Florence Hunt.
Taylor – who performed with Stevie at the 2010 Grammy Awards – paid tribute to the singer during her Sunday show before singing ‘Clara Bow’, which mentions the rock icon in its lyrics.
The singer told her fans: “She’s a hero of mine and also someone that I can tell her any secret and she’d never tell anybody.
“She’s really helped me through so much over the years.”
After the show, Taylor and Travis linked up in front of fans before heading off to the Hacienda with Stevie and rock group Paramore.

Paul Mescal offered ‘Gladiator II’ after meeting Ridley Scott for 30 minutes

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Mescal was offered a role in ‘Gladiator II’ after meeting its director Ridley Scott for only half-an-hour.
The ‘Normal People’ actor, 28, had already made ‘Blade Runner’ filmmaker Ridley, 86, a fan thanks to his role in the raunchy BBC drama, and said their first meeting went smoothly as they ended up talking about his past playing Gaelic football.
Paul told Vanity Fair: “We spoke for about 20 to 30 minutes. I wanted to get a flavour from him about what the story was going to be about, so we spent about 15 minutes talking about that, and then we spent another 10 minutes talking about the sport that I played growing up – Gaelic football.
“Maybe that was something that helped with it, in that I’m used to being physical in my body.
“My memory of it is that probably two or three weeks later, the offer came in.”
Paul will play Lucius – the son of Connie Nielsen’s Lucilla – in the ‘Gladiator’ sequel, which picks up with him living as a young adult in the northern African region of Numidia, where he was sent by his mother as a child as it was just outside the reach of the Roman Empire.
Lucius is then brought back to Rome as a gladiator where he makes fresh enemies and reunites with his mum.
Paul added about why he thought he was a fit for the part: “My nose just is kind of Roman. So it’s useful in this context.
“The nose that I absolutely hated when I was in secondary school – and used to get ribbed for – became very, very useful when Ridley needed somebody to be in ‘Gladiator II’.”
Ridley’s sequel will also star Pedro Pascal, 49, as Marcus Acacius, a Roman general who trained under the command of Maximus Decimus Meridius, portrayed by Russell Crowe in the original ‘Gladiator’ film.
Denzel Washington, 69, will play as Macrinus, a rich Roman powerbroker who keeps a stable of gladiators for sport, while Joseph Quinn, 30, and Fred Hechinger, 24, star as the twin emperors of Rome.
Paul added about bulking up for his role in the film, due out in November: “I just wanted to be big and strong and look like somebody who can cause a bit of damage when s*** hits the fan.
“I think also, sometimes, one could, in striving for that perfect look, end up looking more like an underwear model than a warrior.
“Muscles start to grow, and that can be deemed aesthetic in certain capacities, but there is something about feeling strong in your body that elicits just a different feeling. You carry yourself differently.
“It has an impact on you psychologically in a way that is useful for the film.”

Megan Thee Stallion hails mum as source of her rap talents

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Thee Stallion’s mother was the source of her rap talents.
The Grammy-winning ‘Body’ performer, 29, paid tribute to her fellow singer mum Holly Thomas by saying she sharpened her skills by getting them involved in rap battles with each other.
She told Shannon Sharpe’s ‘Club Shay Shay’ podcast: “Me and my mama used to be going back and forth. She was really the one, and I just wanted to beat her, and I wanted to impress her and I thought she was just the coldest rapper ever.”
Megan’s mum used to go by the stage name Holly-Wood before her death from brain cancer in March 2019.
She added: “My mama was my best friend. It used to really just be me, her and my dad before he passed.”
The rapper’s father died when she was 15 years old and a freshman in high school, and she added about the impact of his passing: “I ain’t care about having a bunch of friends and stuff because – and I was a very friendly kid – but I was the only child. So I just loved being around my mom.”
When asked what female rap artists she listened to growing up, Megan – born Megan Jovon Ruth Pete – again stressed her mum’s strong influence, saying: “I used to wanna be just like (her) because she was a rapper.”
The performer also said the late Biggie Smalls and Lil’ Kim, 49, was her mother’s “favourite female rapper” and recalled being introduced to her when she was young.
She added: “(My mum) put me on Biggie before she put me on Lil’ Kim, and I used to love Biggie so much. I still love Biggie.
“But she was like, ‘If you like Biggie, I got something for you that’s gonna f*** you up’.
“So then she started playing me Kim, and I was like, ‘What is this?’
“So I definitely was on Kim early, but definitely my mama was my favourite.”
Before Megan became famous, her mum made music from 2001 to 2007 and later became her daughter’s manager.
A year after her mother’s passing, in May 2020, Megan posted a tribute to her on Instagram that said: “Happy birthday mama (three yellow heart emojis.) I miss you everyday!”
Megan’s now-deleted post included a throwback photo of her mother, with the rapper adding: “I know you’re watching over me rooting for me and keeping me going. I don’t have you physically here telling me what I should do so I’ve been trying to figure it out on my own remembering all the advice and lessons you’ve taught me before.”

Sophie Turner revelling in ‘sun, sex and suspicious parents’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner is revelling in “sun, sex and suspicious parents”.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress, 28, made the cheeky remark in a caption alongside a photo dump on her Instagram including a photo from a romantic picnic she recently had with her 29-year-old British aristocrat boyfriend Peregrine Pearson.
Her first picture from the date showed the couple’s scenic view of the countryside, while a second image from the afternoon taken by her partner showed Sophie sitting on one of two blankets.
The other snaps in her Instagram carousel showed her enjoying time with girlfriends, some of which took place at pal Taylor Swift’s recent ‘Eras Tour’ concerts.
Sophie has been dating Peregrine since at least October 2023, when the pair were seen kissing in Paris.
They had another PDA session in London a month later, with a source telling Us Weekly at the time that the two had “become progressively closer”.
And in January, the couple were photographed on a late-night city stroll before they took their relationship Instagram official.
Sophie debuted her relationship with Peregrine in a post showing them on a group ski trip.
A source told Us Weekly after the holiday the pair were “getting fairly serious”.
The insider added: “They had an immediate spark when they first started dating… (Sophie) never expected to find someone she cares about this quickly.”
Earlier this month, Sophie and Peregrine relaxed on an Italian getaway and were photographed walking in Capri with wine and cigarettes in hand.
Sophie is still navigating her divorce from musician Joe Jonas, 34, who filed to end their four-year marriage in Miami in September 2023, claiming that their union was “irretrievably broken.”
The actress later asked a judge to “reactivate” the case after attempts to settle child custody and property failed, with the estranged couple sharing daughters Willa, who is nearly four, and 22-month-old Delphine.

Disney honours Bob Iger with special 50 years of service award

OHMYGOSSIP — Bob Iger has been honoured with Disney’s 50-year Service Award.
The company’s CEO – who has actually technically only been working for the House of Mouse since 1995 – has been presented with the prize, which features bronze statuettes of Snow White and the seven dwarfs from the 1937 animated classic.
The inscription on the trophy reads: “Recognizing 50 magical years with the Walt Disney Company.”
Iger’s time with Disney officially started in 1995 when the studio acquired Capital Cities/ABC.
However, the award recognises his start date with ABC in 1974, when he began as a production assistant.
He wrote alongside a picture of his trophy: “I started my career at ABC 50 years ago today and the business has certainly changed a lot since then!
“But at the end of the day, success still hinges on one thing: great storytelling.
“I’m proud to work alongside so many talented colleagues who create exceptional stories and experiences for the world to enjoy… truly the ride of a lifetime!”
His first official Disney post came in 1996, when he was chairman of the now-Disney owned ABC Group.
Three years later, he was made president of Wlat Disney International, and the following year he started a five-year stint as the company’s president and COO.
From 2005 to 2020, he served as CEO of the Walt Disney Company, and oversaw big moves like the acquisitions of Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm in 2006, 2009 and 2012 respectively.
In 2021, he was working as executive chairman and chairman of the board, but by the December of that year he had retired from the company.
Just 11 months later, he came out of retirement and once again took up the post of CEO.
Other Disney Service Award trophies carry different characters, with the 10-year prize including Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse, while Simba and Tinker Bell are featured on the 20 and 25-year awards respectively.
Jiminy Cricket headlines the 30-year trophy, while Pinocchio appears on the 35-year gong.

Joseph Quinn recalls ‘stupid’ moment he met Taylor Swift

OHMYGOSSIP — Joseph Quinn is glad Taylor Swift was so “good-humoured” about the “stupid” moment they first met.
The ‘Stranger Things’ actor – who played Eddie Munson in Netflix’s hit sci-fi series – has recalled meeting the ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker for the first time, and he was mortified over the embarrassing exchange.
Appearing on the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast, he said: “I met Taylor Swift once, and I said, ‘You’re Taylor Swift.’ She was very funny.
“She said something nice about like the show [Stranger Things], and I said, ‘Oh, thanks. You’re Taylor Swift. I mean it as a compliment.'”
Podcast host Josh Horowitz joked that “it is a compliment”, but Joseph admitted he was cringing in the moment, even with Taylor’s reaction.
He added: “It’s definitely a compliment, and I remember thinking like that was f****** stupid. But she was very good-humoured about it.”
The 30-year-old star joked that the pair are on such “great terms” now, and the exchange could even feature on one of her albums.
While Joseph and Taylor may not be best friends, they do share a mutual connection in his ‘Stranger Things’ co-star Sadie Sink, who plays Max Mayfield in the show and has also appeared in the singer’s self-directed short film for her song ‘All Too Well’.
The pop megastar previously paid tribute to the actress in Entertainment Weekly’s 2022 Entertainers of the Year honours and described her as “a pleasure to know”.
She wrote at the time: “She is a force to watch and a pleasure to know.
“I’ll continue to feel just as lucky to watch from afar as she lights up the screen, tells new stories, and shows us new sides of herself: multifaceted and brilliant, dark and unhinged, twinkly and full of promise.
“This artist contains multitudes, and we get to look on as she courageously unveils them. Everyone say, ‘Thank you, Sadie.'”
