Asked why he chose his penis he laughed in an interview with ‘Entertainment Tonight”: I had to insure my most valuable assets.

Lupita Nyong’o found cancer storyline in ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ ‘very therapeutic’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lupita Nyong’o found her cancer storyline in ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ “very therapeutic”.
The ’12 Years a Slave’ actress, 41, stars as a terminally ill patient in the monster apocalypse horror prequel who is in a hospice when the film starts, and said the role helped her deal with her shock over her ‘Black Panther’ co-star and friend Chadwick Boseman – who was killed by colon cancer in 2020 aged 43.
Lupita told People: “It was scary to have to go there… (the character) is really facing their mortality, even before this apocalypse takes place, and whose life is slipping between her fingers.
“That was daunting to have to go there, psychologically and emotionally.
“In the end, it was actually very therapeutic because I had just experienced not too many years ago the death of Chadwick Boseman, which shook me to my core.
“I definitely was thinking about that a lot.
“What I came to realise is that it’s really important to be reminded of our mortality, because then we live life just a little more intentionally. “When we think we have all the time in the world, we can really take people for granted and experiences for granted.”
Chadwick died before filming started on the comic book sequel ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, though Lupita reprised her ‘Black Panther’ role of Nakia in the movie.
The actor had kept his colon cancer diagnosis secret during the filming and publicity for 2018’s ‘Black Panther’.
Lupita has repeatedly paid tribute publicly to Chadwick since his death in August 2020, marking the three-year anniversary of his passing in 2023 by sharing a photo of the two on social media alongside the caption: “Death is hard to understand, maybe even harder to accept. But the love generated from the life he lived will fuel every anniversary marking his absence.
“Chadwick may no longer be in our photos, but he will always be in our hearts.”

“Sometimes there’s nothing for it but for your friend to show up as hard as possible and spend the evening making prank calls and mooning Harvey Nichols because sometimes when the bottom falls out of your world the only response after crying till you’re sick is your own bottom
“@nina_kate I’ll never forget you jumping into the fire with me x (sic)”

As well as the death of her stepdad Roy Battersby in January and her beloved cat Clive last year, she spent six weeks in hospital after suffering a torn esophagus, suffered a flare-up from mast cell disease and had to face “reactivated PTSD” stemming from the death of her dad Richard Beckinsale when she was a child.
In May, a troll commented on the actress’ weight in pictures from a trailer on a movie set, prompting her to respond: “I nursed my [step-dad] to his death early this year. My mum also has stuff going on. I am adjusting to watching two fathers die, one when I was 5, one in January of this year.”

“What you think of my appearance and how I should look, independently of any circumstances in my life and my family’s is not important.
“I am trying to survive what feel like unbearable losses, reactivated PTSD from discovering my very young father’s almost dead body as a very young child alone in the night, and working to support the family I have left.”

Cruz Beckham spotted slumming it in cheap tent at Glastonbury

OHMYGOSSIP — Cruz Beckham was spotted slumming it at Glastonbury.
The 19-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham was reportedly turned away from the celebrity campsite at the music festival for having the wrong wristband but, rather than kick up a fuss, he happily brought his belongings to one of the ordinary sites and pitched his tent next to the toilets.
According to The Sun’s Bizarre column, Cruz stayed in a £60 tent and didn’t let the experience stop him from enjoying the festivities.
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that aspiring musician Cruz has left his music management firm Tap Management and signed with another company, C3, instead, after his parents disagreed with some of the firm’s plans for him.
A source told The Mail On Sunday newspaper: “Cruz is really nice and has what it takes to make it. But it was hard for the Beckhams and Tap to agree on a way of working. When he decided to keep the name Beckham, Tap supported him – but it wasn’t their first choice.
“His management had this plan for him to surprise people by performing in pubs.
“They hoped someone would spot him and share a video on social media and from there he would go viral. Victoria didn’t warm to that plan, so the idea was shelved.”
A Tap source said: “We parted company on friendly terms. We are focused on making music artists as successful as they can be. It wasn’t possible in the circumstances.”

Prince Harry blasted by Pat Tillman’s mother over namesake award

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry’s Pat Tillman Award recognition has been blasted by the late soldier’s mother.
The British royal served 10 years in the British Armed Forces, had two tours of duty in Afghanistan and founded the Invictus Games Foundation to support injured, wounded and sick servicemen and women around the world, and he will receive a prize named in honour of Pat Tillman at this year’s ESPY Awards.
The award is presented to a person with a strong connection to sports who has served others in a way that echoes the legacy of the former NFL player and U.S. Army Ranger”, who died aged 27 in Afghanistan 20 years ago.
His mother Mary Tillman told the Daily Mail newspaper: “I am shocked as to why they would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award.”
She argued that there are “far more fitting” people to receive the award, insisting that others do “tremendous things” for veterans in toughter circumstances to Harry.
She added: “There are recipients that are far more fitting. There are individuals working in the veteran community that are doing tremendous things to assist veterans.
“These individuals do not have the money, resources, connections or privilege that Prince Harry has. I feel that those types of individuals should be recognised.”
ESPN, the network behind the awards, has responded to the backlash and voiced its support for Prince Harry, and insisted his work on the Invictus Games Foundation is “worth celebration”.
In a statement, the broadcaster said: “ESPN, with the support of the Tillman Foundation, is honoring Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, specifically for the work of The Invictus Games Foundation as it celebrates its 10th year promoting healing through the power of sport for military service members and veterans around the world.
“While we understand not everyone will agree with all honorees selected for any award, the Invictus Games Foundation does incredible work, and ESPN believes this is a cause worth celebrating.”

SZA praises people with ‘the bravery to be alive in public’ after Glastonbury

OHMYGOSSIP — SZA has praised people for having the “bravery” to be “alive in public”.
The 34-year-old singer – who headlined Glastonbury Festival on Sunday (30.06.24) with a show hampered by sound issues and a noticeably smaller crowd at the Pyramid Stage – has taken to social media with a cryptic post after her performance.
She wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “The bravery required to be alive in public is remarkable. S/o everybody doing that s***.”
The hip hop star admitted she was “legit shaking” but she was glad she “made it” through her Worthy Farm performance in such an iconic spot.
On Instagram, she added: “Tonight I faced my fears . Tonight my entire team made the impossible possible !!
“THANK YOU @dan_norman_ for working tirelessly w me on this stage ! Thank you @fulloutcortland and the incredible dancers !”
She also heaped praise on her “fire a** band”, as well as “every single person that helped make this happen.
She continued: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart for dreaming w me. Glastonbury 2024 down (sic)”
During the show, she admitted to fans that she was “so nervous” before taking to the stage.
She told the crowd: “Glastonbury, I was so nervous to be here with you today.
“I’m so grateful, you have my deepest love and my deepest respect. I love you always, god bless you. Get home safely, my name is SZA, good night.”
SZA has been open about her mental health struggles, and earlier this year she revealed she has three different therapists.
Since becoming one of the biggest stars on the planet with her album ‘SOS’, the ‘Kill Bill’ hitmaker has found it difficult to adjust to being in the spotlight and admits she has lashed out in “frustration” due to the immense pressure she is under, which is so debilitating it makes her not want to leave the house.
She told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1: “So I’ve been really trying to get my spiritual hygiene together because I realised as of recent that a lot of this s*** is not normal. And I didn’t know how to process that experience.
“And I was having a lot of lashing out and a lot of frustration. And there’s a lot of opinions, a lot of entitlement to your space, a lot of entitlement to your time, a lot of expectation.”

Travis Kelce turned down Netflix docuseries

OHMYGOSSIP — Travis Kelce turned down a Netflix docuseries.
Despite previously starring in the reality TV dating show ‘Catching Kelce’, Kansas City Chiefs tight end rejected an offer to appear in the streamer’s follow-up to its successful series ‘Quarterback’.
Speaking during an interview on ‘Bussin’ with the Boys, Travis, 34, explained: “After [Patrick Mahomes] did [‘Quarterback’], I did get asked about it.
“I just — I don’t know. I’d rather just play ball, man.
“I’m already doing enough with the podcast and everything. I’m way over the reality s*** dude. I’m out on that s***.”
After Travis turned down the series, it was announced that Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings, Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders, Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers teammates George Kittle and Deebo Samuel will star.
Travis and his retired NFL star brother Jason Kelce host the successful podcast ‘New Heights’.
Meanwhile, Travis – who is dating superstar Taylor Swift – previously spoke about the seven-episode reality series ‘Catching Kelce’, which he filmed when he was just 25.
He told WSJ: “I don’t really look back on the ‘Catching Kelce’ era.”
And, instead he is focused on his relationship with Taylor.
He told ‘Bussin’ with the Boys’: “You want to keep things private, but at the same time, like, I’m not here to hide anything. That’s my girl, you know what I mean? That’s my lady, so it’s like… I’m proud of that.
“I’m not sitting here trying to juggle like, ‘how can I keep this under wraps?’ You just don’t want to let everyone into your personal life and be able to comment on it, knowing that everything she does is getting a headline.
“It’s a different demographic than the NFL, so it’s been cool to dabble in that and see her following and everything. It’s been fun because a lot more kids are into the game and the Chiefs fans have turned into a lot of her fans. And her fans have turned into Chiefs fans, so I’ve had fun with every aspect of it.”

Kevin Bacon won’t perform Footloose dance like ‘a trained monkey’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Bacon refuses to do the ‘Footloose’ dance like a “trained monkey”.
The 65-year-old actor’s breakthrough role came as Ben McCormack in the 1984 musical, and four decades later he admitted while people “probably would” still ask him to do the film’s signature routine at weddings, he wouldn’t know where to start.
He told the Metro newspaper’s 60 Seconds column: “When people say, ‘Do the Footloose dance’, I don’t know what the Footloose dance is. I am not a trained monkey.”
The Hollywood star recalled being asked to perform the memorable dance during an event honouring ‘Footloose’ writer Dean Pitchford.
Kevin said: “I was on a red carpet recently because we inducted Dean Pitchford – who wrote the Footloose screenplay and co-wrote all the songs in the movie – into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
“And we played the song, my brother and I, for him. And that was really, really fun.
“But on the red carpet, a couple of people said, ‘Will you do the Footloose dance?’ And I’m like, ‘No!’ I’ll do that when I choose to do it, but not on command.”
However, Kevin admitted he doesn’t mind people bringing up the ‘Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon’ viral game, which is based on the idea that his prolific and wide ranging big screen career means he can be linked to any Hollywood actor in just a few steps.
He added: “I don’t mind ‘Six Degrees’ anymore because of sixdegrees.org.
“We made it into a charitable foundation, and there’s a lot of good work that’s come out of that. So I’ve embraced Six Degrees and it’s not annoying.”
While Kevin used to be “horrified” by the meme and believed it was simply a “joke at his expense”, he has grown to love it.
Previously appearing on the ‘On With Mario Lopez’ podcast, he said: “I always think to myself, it’s only because I’ve been in a whole lot of movies that a whole lot of people have bene in, a lot of very big casts!
“I was horrified! Because I thought it was really a joke at my expense. I just thought, ‘Oh come on, they’re just making fun of me, let’s face it!’ ”

Halle Bailey ‘can’t function’ without knowing her baby is close by

OHMYGOSSIP — Halle Bailey “can’t function” unless she knows her baby boy is nearby.
The ‘Little Mermaid’ actress and her partner DDG welcomed her son Halo into the world last year, and she took him with her when she went away to film her latest project.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “He was living with me every day. Because I can’t function unless I know he’s like near me. He loved it there [in Virginia].”
The 24-year-old star has loved getting used to motherhood, and some days she struggles to “believe” she helped create Halo.
She added: “It’s been so beautiful. I mean, I’ve never been more in love with something, someone in my life. I just look at him and I just can’t believe he’s mine, I’m just so grateful.”
The proud parents are yet to share their son’s face online in a bid to protect his privacy, but Halle did reveal her son has hit an exciting milestone.
She gushed: “Oh my gosh! Me and his daddy, we’re laughing as his teeth are coming out. He has two little teeth on the bottom poking out and I was crying when I saw that.”
Halle had kept the news that she was even expecting to herself and recently admitted there was “no way in hell” that she was ever going to share her “biggest joy” on such a large scale.
Speaking at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards in May, she said: “We are black women in entertainment, and although we signed up for the challenges of the spotlight, in this current climate, that spotlight burns brighter, hotter, and uninterrupted, whereas the scrutiny of its magnification leaves no concealment. I’ve learned from that spotlight over the past eight years.
“I’ve also, if I’m being honest, been burned by it, too, as we all have.
“There was no way in hell I was going to share the biggest joy of my world with anyone. Halo was my gift. He is the greatest blessing, and I had no obligation to expose him, me, or my family to that.”

Judi, 89, and Sian, 91, were given fast-tracked membership during the club’s annual general meeting this week, while the usual membership process can take between two and five years.
Other nominees included former home secretary Amber Rudd, classics editor Mary Beard, Labour Ayesha Hazarika and Channel 4’s Cathy Newman.

When asked if she has any acting work planned, she told a reporter at London’s recent Chelsea Flower Show: “No, no, I can’t even see!”

Matthew Perry’s personal wealth revealed

OHMYGOSSIP — Matthew Perry’s personal wealth was $1.5million at the time of his death.
The 54-year-old ‘Friends’ actor died from a ketamine overdose in October 2023 and he also had a $120million trust fund with his family and ex-girlfriend as beneficiaries, according to The US Sun.
The beneficiaries of the will include his father John Perry, mother Suzanne Morrison, half-sister Caitlin Morrison and ex-girlfriend Rachel Dunn, who he dated from 2003 to 2005.
Matthew made a will in in 2009, which stated he wanted to leave “a majority of his belongings” to the Alvy Singer Living Trust he created.
Lisa Ferguson, the trustee of Perry’s estate, filed an inventory and appraisal document showing a balance of $1,596,914.47, which is in addition to what was already in the trust.
Legal papers showed that Matthew was very careful about who he named as his heirs.
He stated: “I have intentionally omitted from this Will and the Trust any provision for any of my heirs, issue, relatives, or other persons who are not named.
“I also intentionally do not provide for any stepchildren or foster children that I now have or may later acquire.”
Matthew was unmarried and had no children when he died.
Matthew’s body was found lifeless in the jacuzzi in the backyard of his Los Angeles home, with his cause of death later ruled due to the acute effects of ketamine along with drowning.
Law enforcement launched an investigation to determine where he had obtained the drug and it has been reported “multiple people” are expected to be charged in connection with his death.

Ed Sheeran fears for safety in ‘sketchy’ London

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran fears for his safety in “sketchy” London.
The 33-year-old singer admitted he worries about becoming a target of crime in the dangerous English capital and fears getting robbed.
When asked by US podcaster Theo Von during his UK visit “What’s the most dangerous place to be around here?”, Ed replied: “Here? I’d say every area of London. Literally, every area is sketchy. I think that you cannot be anywhere. It’s not like a segregated city. No, I mean the nice areas are sketchy, the bad areas are sketchy, but you just have to not do stupid s***. If you wander around with, I dunno, like a Louis Vuitton duffel bag and a 200 grand watch, you are going to get robbed. But just don’t do that.”
Ed also blasted the Conservative government for failing to support the Arts.
He said: “I just try to be as honest as possible at all points. I’ve been doing probably for the last seven years stuff with music in high schools because in my area, so basically in 2017/ 2018, my old music teacher came to me and he was like, ‘look, the government that is currently in charge, do not value art at all.. arts, drama, music.’ And they cut all the funding for comprehensive high schools.
“So my music teacher came to me and was going, I think they had to share between art, music and drama, like 700 pounds per year for all three subjects. So I started funding that at my local high school. And then you see a massive uptick in kids doing production, kids doing songwriting, kids doing this.
“I built a recording studio there. There’s loads of proper instruments that aren’t broken and you just see the school getting better at music. So then I started doing that in the county that I’m from. And we’ve just now changed it to do it nationwide. And I’m now visiting more high schools and places that really need music funding.
“And you see what a difference it makes too. Because I’m not an academic person and in the real world I would be viewed as stupid, but I excelled at music and therefore people think that I’m good at something.
“And so I found it massively helpful to be in a state funded school that really encouraged that. And they’ve basically cut funding in England for it. So I’m doing what I can to get funding for it. But I think getting the new government will be better at it. But the thing that, that’s kind of what I want to segue into is music education. It worked so well for me and I know it can work so well for other kids. I’m kind of proof that normal kids can just pick up guitars, work hard and do it.”
