Kanye West accused by one of his attorneys of refusing to pay or speak to him

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West is being accused by one of his attorneys of refusing to pay or speak to him.
The scandal-plagued rapper, 47, who was infamously dumped from a string of big-brand deals in the wake of his anti-Semitic outbursts and is being sued by a string of his former employees, is now facing another lawsuit, this time issued by lawyer Brian Brumfield.
According to a new report from ABC 7, Mr Brumfield has requested to be relieved from representing Kanye in his suit against an autograph dealer who accused the hitmaker of punching him.
The attorney’s legal filing alleges the rapper terminated their working relationship on 21 June, and states: “(The ) defendant also will not speak to counsel and defendant refuses to pay counsel as well.”
A hearing on Mr Brumfield’s motion is scheduled for 29 July.
He has been representing Kanye in a suit filed on 10 January by Justin Poplawski and his wife, Tiffany Marshall, which accuses Kanye of assault and battery, as well as intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence regarding an alleged clash with autograph collector Justin.
Justin, who claims he has previously gotten Kanye’s autograph without incident, allegedly stopped the rapper outside the Soho Warehouse club on South Santa Fe Avenue, Los Angeles, in January 2022 before he was apparently struck by the performer.
When Justin allegedly asked for an apology, he claims Kanye said: “Apology for what?” and proceeded to hit the autograph collector several more times.
Justin alleges the rapper acted out of aggression as a result of his bitter divorce proceedings from his ex-wife and mother of his four children Kim Kardashian, 43, at the time.
The latest suit comes after Kanye was named in another one filed by a former worker at his Yeezy business earlier this month.
They allege the rapper’s new wife Bianca Censori, 29, sent adult materials to staff that were accessible to minors as they worked on the fashion designer’s latest endeavour ‘Yeezy Porn’.
Bianca denied the allegations via a statement from Kanye’s former chief of staff Milo Yiannopoulos, 39, that said: “I’ve been authorised by Bianca to stress that any allegation that she showed or caused to be shown any pornographic material to minors is offensive, disgusting, abhorrent and categorically and wholly false.”
Milo also branded the allegations “the most tragic and thirsty lie imaginable”.

Marlon Wayans insists he’s ‘fine’ days after his home was burgled

OHMYGOSSIP — Marlon Wayans has insisted he is “fine” days after his home was burgled.
The 51-year-old comic and ‘Requiem for a Dream’ actor told fans in an Instagram post after he was targeted by thieves last weekend he was still “grateful” in life – while warning criminals he was the “wrong” person to rob.
He made the admission he was “burglarised” in a new Instagram video after TMZ this week reported his home had been targeted in a raid on Saturday, 29 June.
Marlon said in the update for fans the thieves didn’t “get much as “I don’t own s***” and is “not flashy” – while adding he doesn’t have cash or bling in his home.
Marlon added in a caption alongside the clip: “God is so Good. Everyone is fine. I’m grateful.
“Dear ROBBERS and OTHERS, I am the WRONG N**** to ROB. Save your energy. I don’t have anything valuable in my house except MY HOUSE.
“Sorry, I live a simple life with two cats and one of them is a 1994 Range Rover, you will need a jumpstart if you steal it cuz the battery is dead.
“Robbers don’t waste your energy or your life doing home invasions, s*** is too heavy!!!
“You want to carry all that bulls***? Throw your back out, and for what?! I repeat I don’t own s*** valuable.
“I don’t have a bunch of cash or jewellery. Please pick a better (target emoji) thank you and love you… still.”
Marlon was seen in the clip in which he told his followers he had been robbed wearing a collared shirt and a baseball cap that said ‘G.O.A.T.’
He said after thanking everyone who “checked on me”, he reiterated his point his home was not full of valuables.
Marlon said: “I want you to know that they didn’t really get much, ’cause I don’t own s***.
“The most valuable thing in my house is my house. So unless you were gonna put that s*** on a truck and drag it away, then you did well.
“But I don’t own s*** – I use cards… I don’t have cash… I’m the wrong n**** to rob – go down the block… there’s a lot of flashy n***** out there.”
TMZ reported the robbery happened in the early hours of 29 June.
Marlon’s brother Keenen, 66, was said to have been home when the incident happened but reportedly thought noise outside was “nothing” and slept through the raid.
The outlet added one of Marlon’s workers at the home found it had been broken into.
Despite Marlon’s insistence he is not “flashy” and does not keep stacks of cash at home, TMZ said several thousand dollars in cash and a safe were taken during the burglary.

David Duchovny reveals why he refuses to go commando when he wears a kilt

OHMYGOSSIP — David Duchovny refuses to go commando when he wears a kilt.
The ‘Californication’ actor, 63, has been spotted in the traditional Scottish garb over the years out and about and on talk shows in tribute to his family heritage, and he has now said wearing it the traditional way without underwear is not for him as he fears he will be photographed in a compromising position – and the shots will end up becoming a “stupid viral moment” online.
He told The Guardian: “My mother was Scottish. I’ve worn a tartan that I’m supposedly allowed to wear through her background.
“I’m not just throwing on a kilt willy-nilly. I’m respecting the tradition. I do enjoy wearing them.
“They’re a comfortable article of clothing. No underpants? When that tradition was founded, there was no Internet.
“I prefer to wear underpants and not have a stupid viral moment.”
David was born in New York City to father Amram ‘Ami’ Ducovny, a writer and publicist who worked for the American Jewish Committee, and Margaret ‘Meg’ Miller, who worked as a school administrator and teacher.
Along with his Scottish ancestry, David said animals and deep thoughts about the planet are the main thing that pique his curiosity.
He said when asked to detail his interests: “Not food. I’m just not that guy. Animals always spark my curiosity.
“I have one dog right now. The water, the ocean, humanity, what we’re doing on the planet, these kinds of things.
“Big questions and small.”
David – who shot to global fame playing Special Agent Fox Mulder on sci-fi series ‘The X-Files’ – dismissed the rumour he was struggling before he landed the job.
He said when asked if he was “completely broke and willing to give up acting” when the offer for the part turned up: “No. I was pretty broke all along. I wasn’t raised with money. I was doing odd jobs, catering, bartending.
“I did a few commercials. I’d acted in four or five movies and also ‘Twin Peaks’. I wasn’t rolling in dough, but I wasn’t broke.”

Judge Reinhold: ‘I’d be lost without my wife’

OHMYGOSSIP — Judge Reinhold would be “lost” without his wife.
The ‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F’ actor, who married his second spouse Amy Miller in 2000, added he thinks he would be wandering the streets if they hadn’t ended up together.
He told The Independent when asked if there was an equivalent in his life to his fictional ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ police buddy Axel Foley: “Yes. My wife. I’m sorry. I don’t mean to be sentimental, but I… it’s my wife.
“God knows where I’d be without my wife. I’d be lost. I’d literally be lost. I’d be on the highway walking somewhere.”
Judge – born Edward Ernest Reinhold Jr, and who was given his acting moniker by his parents due to the stern expression he wore as a child – first saw Amy at a party in LA and felt an instant connection.
When she left without them meeting, he followed her in his car before ending up arranging a meet with her through friends – which led them to marry six months later.
Judge – who has daughter Haley Rose, 11, with Amy – added: “Everything just fell into place when I met her.
“We’ve been married 25 years and it’s still just a road trip.
“So yeah, that’s my answer. Easily.”
‘Beverly Hills Cop’ saw Judge’s straight-laced police officer Billy Rosewood charm Eddie Murphy’s streetwise detective Axel Foley when he travels to the 90201 zipcode to investigate the shooting of his pal by a mob of drug smugglers.
The reboot of the franchise, ‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F’ sees Eddie and Billy team up again – along with veteran cop John Taggart, played by 76-year-old John Ashton.
This time Billy urges Axel to heal his relationship with his high-flying lawyer daughter, played by Taylour Paige, 33, after she is threatened by corrupt cops.
Judge added his life was changed by his role in the original 1984 ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ as no one had any idea who he was before he got the part.
He said: “The day before ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ came out I had to take two forms of ID to the bank. That’s how anonymous I was.
“The next day people were pulling me over off the freeway for my autograph.”

Johnny Depp brands long Hollywood career ‘sometimes tragic’

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Depp has branded his Hollywood career “sometimes tragic”.
The 61-year-old ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor, who has starred in a mix of indie flops and blockbusters down the years, made the admission in an acceptance speech at the National Film Awards.
Johnny was being honoured at the event in London’s Porchester Hall on Thursday (04.07.24) for his role in French historical drama ‘Jeanne du Barry’, in which he portrayed King Louis XV – marking Depp’s first major role since winning his high-profile defamation case against his 38-year-old actress ex-wife Amber Heard in 2022.
A pre-recorded video played during the ceremony showed Johnny accepting the Global Contribution to Motion Picture award, and he said: “Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to speak to you today. I feel very lucky, and I feel very honoured that you – all of you – allow me to still continue to do the work that I love to do.
“It’s always especially humbling when recognition for your endeavours comes directly from the hearts of the people, the hearts and minds who’ve joined me on this long mystical, magical, sometimes tragic – yet never boring journey.
“I can’t thank you all enough for continuing to allow me to tell the stories that I feel are necessary to be told.
“And for having stuck with me and my curious collection of characters over these many years.”
Johnny also expressed gratitude to his fans, saying they are the reason he still feels “the drive to keep pushing forward”.
He added: “It’s only because of you that I’m here today. I thank you and I send you much love and respect, always.”
At the same awards ceremony, the Amy Winehouse biopic ‘Back to Black’ won Best Drama, while Adam Deacon, 41, received the Best Actor award for ‘Sumotherhood’, and Patricia Hodge, 77, was awarded Best Actress for her role in ‘Arthur’s Whisky’.
Run by the National Film Academy, the National Film Awards has been held in the UK for the past decade.

Serena Williams reveals origin of her trademark tennis grunt

OHMYGOSSIP — Serena Williams’ trademark grunt came from her hero-worship of Monica Seles’ “cool” court groans.
The tennis icon, 42, became renowned for her ear-shattering match cries throughout her career, and has now said it was inspired by watching fellow tennis great Monica, 50, who won eight of her nine major titles while a teen representing her native Yugoslavia.
Serena – who is now retired from tennis and is raising her daughters Olympia, six, and 11-month-old Adira, who she has with her 41-year-old husband Alexis Ohanian – said on the ‘Hot Ones’ YouTube show hosted by Sean Evans: “So I grunt because growing up I liked this tennis player named Monica Seles and she grunts.
“She had this really cool grunt. It was like, ‘(grunt noise)’.
“And I loved that – I was like, ‘That’s so cool’. And so I literally would grunt because of her and then it just became natural and then my grunt just became like a (grunt noise.) It was really loud.”
She added about the benefits of the noise during play – and other sports: “I guess it’s a form of breathing. I grunt playing golf now… it’s like a part of my life.
“Other people say it’s relieving and exhaling air and it’s a different way to exhale air.”
Monica landed 59 career titles and played her last professional match in 2003, and her noises during matches were so loud they inspired Wimbledon’s Centre Court ‘grunt-o-meter’.
She told the Wall Street Journal in 2013 about how she developed the habit in her youth: “Some people loved it, others hated it. I grunted since I was age seven.
“I was a little girl, and they didn’t have kid’s racquets in those days.
“So my dad just gave me his racquet to play with, but I was tiny, so I put all my energy into it, just the same way I played with two hands from both sides, because I had to.
“It wasn’t an issue until I became No1 and then the competitors always try to find a little edge started to complain, because at the end of the day (tennis) was a super competitive industry.”

Danny Trejo involved in bust-up with Fourth of July parade revellers

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Trejo was involved in a bust-up with Fourth of July parade revellers.
The ‘Machete’ actor, 80, got into a fight during the event in the Los Angeles neighbourhood of Sunland-Tujunga on Thursday, with videos published by TMZ and on social media showing him scrapping in apparent anger over a water balloon being chucked at his car.
Clips showed the Hollywood veteran getting out of his vehicle after it struck the car while he took part in the parade with a vintage convertible.
People standing near the actor’s vehicle can be heard in the footage shouting: “No water!” before Danny gets out to confront a group of people watching from the sidewalk.
The actor appeared to throw a punch in a fight with the crowd and was briefly knocked to the ground.
He could then be seen tossing a nearby lawn chair as people crowded around to try to break up the fight.
According to Los Angeles’ ABC7 Eyewitness News, the incident lasted roughly 10 minutes before police arrived and the situation was diffused.
Before the bust-up, Danny seemed to be stalled in his car and taking selfies with attendees along the parade route.
One witness told ABC 7 water balloons were common at the annual parade, but Danny seemed to get upset as “usually people don’t throw water balloons at fancy cars when they come by”.
The actor wrote about the holiday on his Instagram: “Have fun tonight but make sure to take care of your dogs! Happy #4thOfJuly!”
Danny’s bust-up comes days after he revealed his chihuahua Dixie died on 1 July.
He has also been reflecting on his troubled upbringing, and told People ahead of his 80th birthday in May about he also had several stints in jail before his acting career took off: “Anytime somebody asks me did I ever imagine, I never imagined getting out of prison. “The last thing I heard the parole board say in 1969 was, ‘Bring us back a life sentence. We’re sick and tired of you’.
“I never went back. I mean, every day, every day for me is just a blessing.”

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco seal romance with cuddly Fourth of July snap

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have sealed their romance by cuddling up together to mark the Fourth of July celebrations.
The singer and actress, 31, was recently apart from the 36-year-old music producer – who she has been dating since June 2023 – while filming, but the pair have shown they are happily still loved up by posting an image of themselves hugging on Instagram over the holiday.
Their image was posted on Selena’s Instagram and showed her boyfriend wrapping his arm around her chest and hugging her from behind as she sat at a garden table.
She sported a white headband and matching summer dress – while Benny matched her look with an all-white Independence Day outfit of his own.
Benny also posted shots of Selena on his social media in which she was seen smiling.
Selena and Benny reunited in June after the actress was away attending the Cannes Film Festival to promote her new film ‘Emilia Perez’ and filming the latest series of her hit show ‘Only Murders in the Building’ in New York.
Benny marked their reunion by posting a snap of Selena as she closed her eyes and rested on a white pillow: “She’s back.”
The pair’s latest online public displays of affection come after Selena said she was planning to adopt a baby before she met Benny.
She told Time about resigning herself to being a single mum: “I was alone for five years and I got really used to it. A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it.”
Selena added she then “came up with my plan”, which was for her to adopt at the age of 35 if she “had not met anyone”.
She said about things changing when she met Benny: “It just happens when you least expect it.”
Selena added her new partner has tuned out the “noise” when it comes to “hurtful” things trolls say about her body.
She said: “I know what people can do to people I love. My own fans, who I adore and feel like have shaped who I am, will say the most hurtful things to me about how I live my life.
“But he has the strength in him that none of that noise fazes him.
“It’s really impressive, and I just cherish every moment with him. I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know that he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.”
Selena took her romance with Benny, born Benjamin Levine, public in December, and he told earlier this month how his “next goal” is to have children with the actress.
He told ‘The Howard Stern Show’: “That’s my next goal, to check the box (of having a family.)
“I have a ton of godkids; I’ve got a ton of nephews. I love being around kids.”

Miriam Margolyes wants to move in with partner after 55 years

OHMYGOSSIP — Miriam Margolyes wants to move in with her partner after 55 years together because they “haven’t got long left”.
The 83-year-old ‘Harry Potter’ star has been dating Heather Sutherland, 81, since they met while working on a BBC radio drama together in the late 1960s but they have always lived apart.
The couple own a house together in Italy and have decided they finally want to take the plunge and live together but Miriam fears Britain’s exit from the European Union has ruined their plans.
She told SAGA magazine: “We want to live together now because we haven’t got long left.
“She is 81 and am 83, We don’t know yet how we are going to do that.
“Brexit ruined our life when it comes to living in Italy, so it really is a problem.”
She added of her partner: “My life is made whole by the fact that she is in it. Heather is magnificent, highly educated, an academic and very private.”
Miriam and Heather own a house in Tuscany and the actress previously revealed her plan was to retire to the Italian countryside.
During an episode of the ‘Loose Ends’ podcast for BBC Radio 4, Miriam told hosts Clive Anderson and George Egg: “I love travelling and meeting people and Italy is one of the countries of my heart, I want to retire there with Heather.
“I’ve got a home in Clapham and I’ve had that since ’73. I feel at home wherever I am and I always bought houses because I had the money to, because I didn’t have children. If you have children, you’re poor. You’re rich in happiness I suppose!”
The actress also previously revealed the secret to the couple’s long-running relationship was the fact that they lived apart even after they entered into a civil partnership together.
She told British Vogue magazine: “We were able to lead our lives without diminishing them. I didn’t want her to have to give up anything. And I didn’t want to give up anything. I wanted my cake and I wanted to eat it too. And so far, it’s worked.”

Sarah Ferguson’s message from Queen Elizabeth

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York has shared the poignant final message she received from the late Queen Elizabeth.
The monarch died at her Balmoral estate in Scotland in September 2022 at the age of 96 and Sarah has now revealed the Queen’s final words to her were a “gift” as she urged her former daughter-in-law to “be yourself”.
Sarah told Platinum magazine: “The last thing the late Queen said to me was ‘be yourself’. That was the best gift, apart from the corgis, that she gave me.
“She also said: ‘I cared for you, Sarah, and I love you and that you’re good enough. Just be it’.”
Sarah explained the Queen’s kind words meant a lot to her because she always felt as if she was negatively compared to her late former sister-in-law Diana, Princess of Wales.
She added: “When you’re permanently compared to Diana or always in the newspapers seen to be doing something wrong, called ‘Bad Fergie’, ‘Furious Fergie’, ‘Fat and frumpy Fergie’, ‘Frolicking Fergie’, you eventually believe it. I’m much better now, but you still have to work through things.
“At 64 I finally feel free to be myself. Rather than trying to please all of the people all of the time, I can accept that isn’t possible and get on with living my life.”
After the Queen died, Sarah adopted the late monarch’s remaining two corgis – Sandy and Muick – and on the first anniversary of her death the duchess shared a sweet message calling her a “second mother”.
In a post on Instagram, she wrote: “You were a wonderful friend, a mentor, a second mother to me and grandmother to my daughters who share so much of your courage and heart.
“You will always be loved and missed by our family and our nation.”

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s UK home is haunted

OHMYGOSSIP — Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s UK home is “haunted as s***”.
The couple have returned to England after years living in Los Angeles, but their son Jack has admitted he hates being in their Buckinghamshire mansion, which is called Welders House, alone because of the ghostly presence in the building, which was previously used as a women’s psychiatric hospital.
He is quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: “Welders is f****** haunted as s*** – I hate staying there by myself…
“When we were in Welders, we heard walking downstairs in Mum and Dad’s bedroom.
“We heard someone walking along the hall upstairs and thought someone had broken into the house. That was clear as day and it wasn’t a dog – it was footsteps coming down the hallway towards us.”
The 38-year-old star revealed one of his friends also had a creepy encounter in the middle of the night at the property.
He said: “My friend James would house-sit for us. A few years ago he was house-sitting and his baby had woken up in the night and he and his wife went in to take care of their baby and heard a woman singing in the house. They couldn’t figure it out.”
Sharon previously explained she hoped the move back to the UK would give Ozzy more privacy as he battles Parkinson’s disease.
Speaking on the ‘Woman’s Hour’ podcast, Sharon explained: “A lot of it [the move] is for Ozzy to be able to live with some privacy. Because, where we live in the countryside, it’s not full of paps and you know, it’s not a busy little town. We have a lot of land so he will be able to walk around and pursue his hobbies that he loves doing without being bothered.”
The couple spent four years planning the move, which was delayed several times due to ongoing renovations at their country house, but they have now made the switch and are planning to split their time between Britain and the US, where their kids live.
Sharon added: “My family will still be there [in the US] so we will go back and fourth I’m sure, but our main place – we have switched it from being LA to England.”

Madonna reflects on ‘miraculous recovery’, a year on from hospitalisation

OHMYGOSSIP — Madonna has reflected on her “miraculous” recovery from a bacterial infection.
The ‘Ray of Light’ hitmaker was forced to postpone the beginning of her ‘Celebration’ world tour last June when she was taken “seriously” ill but she’s expressed her gratitude that she has made a full recovery and enjoyed an “amazing” 12 months.
She reflected on Instagram alongside a series of Independence Day celebration photos: “A year ago today, I had just come home from the hospital after surviving a life threatening illness, I could barely stand in my backyard holding one sparkler.
“I made a miraculous recovery and had an amazing year.
“Thank you God. Life is beautiful! Happy 4th of July! (sic)”
Madonna’s post showed she had celebrated 4 July at New York City’s The Standard, High Line with friends including photographer Steven Meisel, Luar designer Raul Lopez and singer Arca.
The ‘Material Girl’ singer’s manager, Guy Oseary, had announced the ‘Celebration’ tour would be “paused” when he revealed Madonna – who is mother to Lourdes, 27, Rocco, 23, David, 18, Mercy, also 18, and 11-year-old twins Stella and Estere – was seriously ill in hospital.
He said on 28 June: “On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several day stay in the ICU.
“Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.
“At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.
“We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”
The 65-year-old star then spoke out for the first time the following month, in which she thanked fans for their “positive energy, Prayers and words of healing and encouragement” and apologised for the delay to her tour.
She wrote: “I have felt your love. I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life.
“My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children. My second thought was that I did not want to disappointment anyone who bought tickets for my tour.
“I also didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone.”
And during her concert in Brooklyn last December, Madonna told the crowd she was in “an induced coma for 48 hours” during her hospitalisation.
Shouting out a friend, she said: “There are some very important people in the room tonight that were with me at the hospital. There’s one very important woman who dragged me to the hospital.
“I don’t even remember; I passed out on my bathroom floor and woke up in the ICU … She saved my life.”

Minnie Driver still frustrated her complaints weren’t taken seriously

OHMYGOSSIP — Minnie Driver has admitted it “annoys her no end” that she was vilified for speaking out about her Hollywood experiences, 30 years before the #MeToo movement.
The 54-year-old star – who has 15-year-old son Henry with former partner Timothy J. Lea – was “crucified” for speaking out about misogyny and the way she was treated in Hollywood, including being asked to fake an orgasm in front of 17 executives for an advertisement audition, and branded a troublemaker, and while she thinks the industry has seen a host of positive changes in recent years, she is still upset that she wasn’t takens eriously at the time.
She told The Times magazine: “You try to find a mechanism that could help you, that you could tell someone, ‘This thing is happening, please help me make it stop, but also help make it stop for that person over there and that woman over there.’…
“I was completely and utterly vilified for being some sort of ‘whistleblower’. This idea of ‘causing trouble on the set’ — ‘She called her lawyer.’ ”
Asked if she thinks things have really changed now, she said: “Yes, I do. But not because of some kind of systemic epiphany that men had. Rather, because they know that there’s accountability now.
“There are actually mechanisms in place [which mean] that kind of behaviour can’t be hidden. And I think #MeToo put a dent in it, but I just don’t know whether that power dynamic is ever really going to be redressed.
“Revolutions are bloody. People want to maintain the status quo for as long as they possibly can until they absolutely can’t and then, kicking and screaming, people will change.
“It annoys me no end that there wasn’t recourse and there was actually punitive stuff that happened [to me] as a result.
“But here we are talking about this new project that I couldn’t love more, and I’m 54 and it’s been 30 years…”
The ‘Serpent Queen’ star is delighted to see actresses including Margot Robbie and Zendaya taking on producer roles on their movies.
She said: “They’re like, ‘I’m part of this creation, I am making this happen.’ And I think maybe that is how it changes.
“We all should have been doing that back in the Nineties.
“When I think about the work that I did on scripts, the fixing things, the making stuff better, absolutely uncredited.
“I made so many of the roles that I was in through improv, through rewriting, through ideas that were all then completely uncredited. So what’s great is that these girls are now getting credit for it.”

Mike Heslin dead at 30

OHMYGOSSIP — Mike Heslin has died at the age of 30.
The ‘Lioness’ actor’s husband Scotty Dynamo – whose real name is Nicolas James Wilson – announced on Friday (05.07.24) that his spouse had passed away on Tuesday (02.07.24) following an “unexpected cardiac event after a week long battle in the hospital.”
He wrote on Instagram: “On July 2nd, my husband, best friend, and soulmate @mikeheslin passed away from an unexpected cardiac event after a week long battle in the hospital. Michael was young, in perfect health, and the doctors have no explanation for what happened.”
Scotty hailed his husband a “real-life guardian angel” and admitted meeting the ‘Holiday Proposal Plan’ actor was the “best thing” to ever happen to him.
He continued: “Michael was brilliant, selfless, talented, and a real-life guardian angel. He single-handedly carried me through multiple rounds of cancer.
“He was the first person everyone would call to share good news with, and he was the perfect person to call if they needed a shoulder to lean on or the best advice.
“He truly was the sweetest, most caring, and loving man on earth, and he brought out the absolute best in everyone who had the pleasure to cross paths with him. He moved through life with such ease and confidence, and turned everyone around him into a better version of themselves.
“No matter how difficult things got, we knew that there was nothing we couldn’t overcome with Mike in our corner.
“Michael, meeting you was the best thing to ever happen to me. You are my world. You are everything to me.
“When I felt you take your last breath, my heart shattered into a million pieces. If I had the power to trade places with you, I would do it in an instant. But I will take it one day at a time like you always told me to, and live every day in your honour.”
Tragically, the couple had been discussing starting a family before Mike fell ill.
Scotty wrote: “Just a week ago, we were in the early stages of starting a family and would regularly share our favourite baby names for our future kids. You always told me that you felt like you were meant to be a dad, and I couldn’t agree more.
“You would be the world’s most perfect father. If I ever become a dad, I am going to name my son after you and hope that I manage to raise him to become at least half the man you are.
“You were the most generous and giving person. It brings me peace to know that, through your wish to be a donor, you have given the gift of life to four different families.
“We are 3 weeks away from your birthday and 4 months shy of our 1 year wedding anniversary, but I know that you are in a better place and that heaven has gained another angel.
“Michael, in the words of Shania Twain: I’ll love you “forever and for always.(sic)”
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help cover funeral and hospital costs.

Stevie Nicks cancels tour dates to recover from leg surgery

OHMYGOSSIP — Stevie Nicks has had to cancel some of her tour dates so she can recover from surgery.
The 76-year-old rock star is currently on the road performing her greatest hits and had been due to take to the stage at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday (06.07.24) but has had to pull out of the gig completely, along with another performance that was meant to take place at the Co-Op Live Arena in Manchester on Tuesday.
In a statement, the OVO Hydro wrote on X: “Due to a recent leg injury requiring a minor surgical procedure that will need a few days of recovery time, Stevie Nicks’ scheduled performances in Glasgow Saturday 6 July and Manchester Tuesday 9 July have been postponed.”
It is expected that the cancelled performances will be rescheduled as the venue explained to fans that more information would be available at wherever they purchased their tickets and that the former Fleetwood Mac star – who is yet to provide any information herself – is “looking forward” to hitting Hyde Park in London on Friday 12 July.
The statement added: “More information will be available at point of purchase, ticketholders are advised to hold on to their tickets as rescheduled dates will be announced soon. Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone at Hyde Park in London.”
In 2021, Stevie scrapped all her concerts for the year because she was concerned about the rising cases of coronavirus across the globe and was particularly worried that it may end her career if she catches it.
She said in a statement at the time: “These are challenging times with challenging decisions that have to be made. I want everyone to be safe and healthy and the rising COVID cases should be of concern to all of us. While I’m vaccinated, at my age, I am still being extremely cautious and for that reason have decided to skip the 5 performances I had planned for 2021. Because singing and performing have been my whole life, my primary goal is to keep healthy so I can continue singing for the next decade or longer.
“I’m devastated and I know the fans are disappointed, but we will look towards a brighter 2022.”
She returned to the stage in the summer and autumn of 2022.
