Kesha hits back at body-shamers

OHMYGOSSIP — Kesha has hit back at trolls who have been shaming her over her figure.
The 37-year-old pop star has revealed she’s been inundated with hate from “body shaming” trolls but she’s adamant the abuse just makes her “feel powerful” because she’s “proud” of her body because it’s “been through a lot”.
In a post on Instagram, Kesha shared several pictures of herself wearing a bikini, and wrote: “I didn’t think in 2024 people still body shamed but I am so proud of my body.
“She’s been through a lot. She’s torn her ACL [anterior cruciate ligament] on stage and finished the show. She’s held my f****** broken heart together.
“To those who think you’re shaming me, you’re actually making me feel very powerful. So, to you, I hope you one day feel whole enough to not tear other women down. In the mean time, hate me harder b****.”
Kesha has previously struggled with eating disorders and opened up about her battle in a candid interview with Rolling Stone magazine back in 2017.
She explained: “If I ever did [eat], I felt very ashamed, and I would make myself throw up because I’d think, ‘Oh, my God, I can’t believe I actually did that horrible thing. I’m so ashamed of myself because I don’t deserve to eat food’.
“[As I got sicker, people] would just be like, ‘Oh my gosh, keep doing whatever you’re doing! You look so beautiful, so stunning’.”
Kesha hit rock bottom when attending a friend’s dinner party and spent the evening pretending to eat and working out where she could hide her food, explaining: “I remember just shaking because I was so fed up, so anxious, and I was just mad that I had let myself get to that point.”
She eventually got well after spending time in rehab working with a nutritionist.
She added of her recovery: “I did just take my life into my own hands and choose life over a slow, painful, shameful self-imposed death. And I need to stop just being so f****** mean to myself.”

Mel B to recieve doctorate

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B is to receive an honorary doctorate in recognition of her work with domestic abuse survivors.
The Spice Girls singer – who is the patron of Women’s Aid – admitted it is an “incredible honour” to receive academic recognition from Leeds Beckett University, where she has also been studying towards a qualification in trauma care.
Mel – who left her second husband Stephen Belafonte in 2016 amid allegations he had abused her during their 10-year marriage – told The Sun newspaper: “I completed a couple in Trauma Informed Care at Leeds Beckett earlier this year. When I was told I was being given the doctorate it was an incredible honour.
“But I wanted to earn something too.
“Since leaving my marriage I’ve told friends and family I’d love to go to uni, but I don’t think people took it seriously.
“But this gave me an opportunity to actually do it.”
The ‘Stop’ singer, who will receive the honour later this month, kept her studies quiet and didn’t tell her Spice Girls bandmates what she was doing.
She admitted: “I didn’t tell them I was studying so I think they were surprised. I didn’t even tell my mum.”
The 49-year-old star was “nervous” about attending lectures but enjoyed being able to study without being recognised.
She said: “I loved the camaraderie in the class. It never came up who I was, apart from at the end.
“One of the guys came up to me and said, ‘I thought it was you, but I couldn’t believe it — I thought it was just someone who looked like you’.
“I’ve played at Wembley Stadium with the Spice Girls, but I felt more nervous walking into that classroom on the first day. Everyone in the class seemed so intelligent.”
Mel – who is mother to Phoenix, 25, aAngel, 17, and 12-year-old Madison from previous relationships – hopes her new qualification can further help her work with Women’s Aid.
She said: “I always understood abuse on an emotional level and could speak from the heart, but now I have the theory, knowledge and terminology. I want to do more.”
Leeds Beckett Vice Chancellor Professor Peter Slee said the establishment are delighted to “champion” the former ‘X Factor’ judge.
He said: “I would like to congratulate Melanie Brown MBE on this Honorary Degree.
“As a child of this city who reached the top of her industry, then used her platform to advocate for those who shared her hardships, Melanie is exactly the type of citizen we are here to champion.”
Stephen has repeatedly denied the allegations against him and recently launched a defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife.

Peter Andre worried he’d be called ‘boring’ when he gave up alcohol

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Andre worried he would be branded “boring” if he admitted he was teetotal.
The 51-year-old pop star gave up alcohol more than a decade ago, but he kept the decision quiet for some time and often made “excuses” about why he wasn’t drinking to cover up the fact that he’d decided to give up booze.
In his column for OK! magazine, Peter explained: “I don’t drink anymore myself … We’re at a time where it’s no longer ‘uncool’ not to drink.
“I remember when I stopped drinking, I always felt I had to make excuses. I’d say things like, ‘Oh, I’m driving’ or ‘I’m on antibiotics,’ because I was worried people would find me boring.
“There’s nothing wrong with having a drink, but, for me, I just felt like I didn’t need it.”
Peter’s doctor wife Emily is also teetotal and she previously admitted her decision to give up drinking for good during her first pregnancy had an impact on her husband.
She told The Sun newspaper: “I stopped drinking when I got pregnant with Millie [who was born in 2014] … it was just because I realised when I was pregnant that a) I didn’t like the taste, b) didn’t like the hangovers anymore and just that I am quite sociable anyway so don’t really need it.
“So when I had her I was breastfeeding, so wasn’t drinking then and I just never started again and then he [Peter] felt ‘I won’t sit at home and drink wine with a meal if you are not having it’, so he kind of stopped as well and neither of us have drunk now for ages.”
Emily added that she only had one sip of Champagne at her wedding when the couple tied the knot in 2015 and that was her only taste of alcohol in the last decade.
She said: “I wouldn’t even have a glass of champagne, at our own wedding I had a sip of champagne to toast with but literally I have had no other sips of alcohol in 10 years.
“None of the kids have ever seen us drink because even the oldest kids would have been still quite young when it stopped. It’s not really a big deal in the house, it doesn’t really come up in conversation much. It’s just how it is.”

Eddie Murphy gives approval of son dating best friend Martin Lawrence’s daughter

OHMYGOSSIP — Eddie Murphy has given his seal of approval of his son Eric Murphy dating his best friend Martin Lawrence’s daughter Jasmin Lawrence.
The ‘Boomerang’ co-stars’ offspring confirmed they are a couple in a selection of sweet images of them together which were shared to Instagram in 2021, and the 63-year-old funnyman is already discussing what their future child will be like if they decide to start a family, insisting they will no doubt be a comedian like their grandfathers.
He said on CBS Mornings: “They’re both beautiful, they look amazing together.
“And it’s funny, everybody’s like, ‘What is that baby gonna be funny?’”
He said: “Our gene pool is gonna make this funny baby.
“If they ever get married and have a child, I am expecting the child to be funny.”
Eric, 34, previously declared himself “head over heels in love” with the 28-year-old beauty.
He wrote: “Head over heels in LOVE with YOU @jasmin_lawrence [heart emojis] #myotherhalf #equallyyoked #iloveyou (sic)”
Eric is Eddie’s eldest son with former partner Paulette McNeely, while Martin has Jasmine with his ex-wife Patricia Southall.
Eddie has 10 children and previously described them as the “brightest part” of his life.
Joking about how many of his kids are now adults but not “old”, he said: “None of my children are gray and balding…
“The brightest part of my life is my kids. My relationship with them, and my world revolves around them – even the old, gray bald ones.”
And ahead of turning 60, the ‘Nutty Professor’ actor admitted his family were his main focus these days.
He said: “I am going to be 60 in April and I have all these babies. I love fatherhood.
“The whole idea of being out there and doing three movies a year, that s*** is over … I found over and over again and along the way I realised that if you put your children first you never make a bad decision.”
The ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ star went on to gush over his brood whom he feels “blessed” to be a father to.
He added: “I am so blessed with my kids. I don’t have one bad seed. I don’t have any like ‘Oh you are the one.’ I don’t have any of that. My kids are so great, normal people – and nobody is like the Hollywood jerk kid.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales ‘donating privately’ Hurricane Beryl relief efforts

OHMYGOSSIP — The Prince and Princess of Wales are believed to be “donating privately” towards relief efforts after the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl in the Caribbean.
As of Thursday (04.07.24), the death toll from the destructive Category 4 hurricane has reached at least 10 as heavy winds and rain batter many of the islands, including Jamaica, where the royal couple visited in 2022.
HELLO! reports that: “They continue to follow the impact of Hurricane Beryl closely. At the time of writing, the Category 5 hurricane is heading towards Jamaica, where the royal couple toured in 2022.”
The British royals’ arrival on the island was marked by protests seeking slave reparations from the monarchy amid calls for the country to drop the then-queen as head of state.
In response, William expressed his “profound sorrow” over slavery.
The Cambridges attended an official dinner and reception hosted by the Governor General of Jamaica at King’s House in Kingston, Jamaica, where the royal denounced the “abhorrent” slave trade.
Speaking on the couple’s fifth day of their Caribbean tour, he said: “I want to express my profound sorrow. Slavery was abhorrent. And it should never have happened.
“While the pain runs deep, Jamaica continues to forge its future with determination, courage and fortitude.
“The strength and shared sense of purpose of the Jamaican people, represented in your flag and motto, celebrate an invincible spirit.
“I strongly agree with my father, The Prince of Wales, who said in Barbados last year that the appalling atrocity of slavery forever stains our history.”
William also insisted his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth, had a “deep affection” for Jamaica.

Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO hoping for twin boys

OHMYGOSSIP — Jelly Roll and his wife are hoping to have twin boys.
The ‘Save Me’ singer – who has Bailee, 16, and Noah, seven, from previous relationships – and his wife Bunnie XO have been consulting with a fertility specialist since 2019 but it is only recently they felt in the right place to go ahead with starting a family together, though they still have some way to go before taking action on their plans, for which they will use a surrogate.
Speaking on her ‘Dumb Blonde’ podcast, Bunnie said: “This journey with IVF, we sat down a couple months ago. And I was just like, I feel like I’ve accomplished so much in my life. And the only thing that’s left is to raise a baby and garden. I’m in my baby mama gardening era….
“We’re on the fence of having twins. We think we want to have twin boys. I’m not sure. We could have one, we could have two. We don’t know what we’re going to do yet. We don’t plan on implanting until February 2025.”
The 44-year-old beauty admitted she was surprised that her husband wanted another child, and he is “really excited” at the thought of becoming a dad again.
She said: “J was like … ‘I would love to have a baby with you.’
“And that was not the response that I thought he would say. I was just like, ‘Wow really? Have you always felt like that?’ He was like, ‘Yeah, I will always have a baby with you. If you want to have a baby, cool. If you don’t, cool. Whatever you want to do.’ So now he’s, like, really excited about it.”
The 39-year-old country singer previously admitted one of the reasons behind his recent weight loss was to be in better shape to have another baby.
Appearing on the ‘Bussin’ With the Boys’ podcast, Jelly – whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord – said: “I think it was realising that I just want to feel good … My wife and I are talking about having a baby. And it really made me realise, at almost 40, I was like, ‘That means I gotta live till at least 60. I gotta see this kid into college.’
“I thought that every problem I ever had in life would be solved if I ever found any kind of success and stability.
“And then I started to get success and stability and still none of those problems are solved. My plan was never to be 60. It was to be, like, 55. But now I’m like, ‘Well, I’d like to see my 60s.’ You know what I mean? And that really lit it up.”

Jason Mraz pleaded for early DWTS exit – because he missed his cat

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Mraz pleaded with his friends not to vote for him on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ – because he missed his cat.
The ‘I’m Yours’ singer made it to the final of the celebrity Latin and ballroom competition – on which he was partnered by Daniella Karagch – last year but he admitted that just two weeks into the competition, he was ready to go home.
Speaking to Jesse Tyler Ferguson on his ‘Dinner’s On Me’ podcast, he said: “Two or three weeks in, I realised I’m probably going to be here the whole time, and I’m terrified, and I have to cancel all my plans for the entire rest of the year, and I’m missing my cat terribly.
“I start telling my friends, ‘Stop voting for me!’ ”
At one point, the 47-year-old musician told producers he was “good” and ready to depart the show – but now wonders if he’d put in more effort if he could have beaten eventual winner Xochitl Gomez.
He said: “Having made it all the way to the very end, made it to the buzzer, I look back and laugh and think, ‘Well, maybe if I’d actually given a s***.’
“So, I would do it all over again if I could, and I would try really hard.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Jason explained he never used to feel comfortable discussing his sexuality because “being gay” was the “punchline of a joke” in the 1990s.
The ‘Lucky’ hitmaker revealed in 2018 that he previously had sexual experiences with men, including during his relationship with Christina Carano – who he divorced in 2023 after eight years of marriage – and is a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
Explaining why he didn’t come out as a teenager, he said: “In the 90s, being gay was like punchline of a joke and I didn’t want to be the punchline of a joke and kept my nose down and figured out ways I could instead get out and see the world one day.”
His upbringing in Virginia also played a role, as he was worried about what his loved ones or other people in his “hometown” would think about him.
He said: “I still took with me the conservative street that I grew up on, and that was very hard to ignore or to break out of.
“I was very shy and and scared of what my family would say, or what my hometown would think or just whatever.”

Marvin and Rochelle Humes will get input from children on their dream home

OHMYGOSSIP — Marvin and Rochelle Humes plan to involve their children in designing their dream house.
The couple – who are parents to Alaia-Mai, 11, Valentina, seven, and three-year-old Blake – have moved six times during their relationship but they are now building what they hope will be their “forever home” and all the members of the household will have a say in the layout of the property.
Speaking to HELLO! Online, Marvin said: “We’re doing a whole house! We’re building a house! It’s the first time we’ve done it. In the 12 years we’ve been together we’ve moved home six times! This is our first big, big project. We’ve renovated a house before but this is the first time doing it from scratch, but this is the last one I promise you….
“It’s exciting, something we’ve never done before. Great for the kids to get involved in helping us design stuff, so it’s all good!”
Although they are excited about their plans, the couple have no idea how long it will take to finish the house but they plan to just go with the flow.
Rochelle said: “We just need to gain a lot of patience because there are so many moving parts. People keep asking me, ‘How long is it going to be?’ We don’t have an idea.
” It bothers everyone else, we’re like, ‘We’re just going with it!’ We’ll have a better update [next year]. Hopefully we’ll have a roof by then!”
In the coming months, Marvin and Rochelle hope to travel around the UK with their brood to enjoys some “staycays” in the sunshine.
The former Saturdays singer said: “I’m planning to wing it through until September and we can open the school gates again. Our kids seem to have longer than they’ve ever had before!
“We might do a couple of weeks somewhere. We have a couple of staycays planned. We have a couple’s trip planned but we have staycays and everyone escapes the UK when it’s the best it’s going to be! They have such a long break that I want to get around the UK a bit. We have an appreciation since COVID. We’re going to do a bit of camping, not quite like the jungle but similar sort of vibes.”

‘He’s become a better person’: Darius Rucker defends Morgan Wallen

OHMYGOSSIP — Darius Rucker has called for forgiveness for Morgan Wallen.
The Hootie and the Blowfish singer insisted the country star has become a “better person” since his 2021 racism scandal – in which he was caught on camera using a racial slur to describe one of his companions when he arrived home after a night out – and believes the time has come for him to receive recognition for his music and huge success.
He told the ‘Rolling Stone Music Now’ podcast: “I think Morgan’s become a better person since that.
““I’ve known Morgan a long time. Since all that happened, Morgan’s tried to really better himself and become a better person and see the world in a much better, better way.
“And you know, he’s not forgiven. He’s still not out for CMAs and ACMs. They can say what they want, but the fact that Morgan Wallen is not up for entertainer of the year and those things is crazy. No one’s selling more tickets than Morgan.”
After video footage of the incident circulated online, Morgan was suspended from his record label contract, removed from radio airplay and disqualified from the 2021 Academy of Country Music Awards.
The ‘Last Night’ later admitted there was “no excuse” for him using the slur and he was “mad” at himself for how much he had “messed up”.
He said: “There’s no excuse. I’ve never made an excuse. I never will make an excuse.
“I’ve talked to a lot of people, heard stories [about] things that I would have never thought about because I wasn’t the one going through it.
“And I think, for me, in my heart I was never that guy that people were portraying me to be, so there was a little bit of like, ‘Damn, I’m kind of actually mad about this a little bit because I know I shouldn’t have said this, but I’m really not that guy.’
“I put myself in just such a s*** spot, you know? Like, ‘You really messed up here, guy.’ If I was that guy, then I wouldn’t have cared. I wouldn’t have apologised. I wouldn’t have done any of that if I really was that guy that people were saying about me.”

Sting and Trudie Styler love hanging out with big family at Tuscany estate

OHMYGOSSIP — Italy will always have a “special place” in Sting and Trudie Styler’s “hearts”.
The former Police frontman, 72, and the 70-year-old filmmaker have a home in Tuscany where they celebrate all their anniversaries and love nothing more than spending quality time with their children and grandchildren in the Italian sunshine.
Trudie told PEOPLE: “Sting and I fell in love with Italy many years ago — so much so that after one of our kids was born near Pisa, we spent years looking for a home for us all. Italy has always been incredibly kind to us.
“Since the 1980s when I made films here in Rome at Cinecittà, then Sting wrote one of his most emotional albums near Pisa the year after his parents died, and at the same time I gave birth to one of our kids, Italy has a special place in our hearts for many reasons.”
The couple has owned the 16th century Il Palagio estate since 1997, and have a sprawling vineyard where they make their own wines.
Trudie has Mickey, 40, Jake, 39, Eliot, 33, and Giacomo, 28, with Sting, and the ‘Fields of Gold’ hitmaker has son Joe, 47, and daughter Fuschia, 42, with first wife Frances Tomelty, 75 – and the huge family “congregates together and connects”.
She continued: “For 30 years now we’ve returned again and again to our place in Tuscany, with all of the family — our little kids are now all grown up and now bringing their own children.
“We all eat together, we read, swim, take walks, play games, we watch movies.
“We love to catch up with what’s going on in the vineyards and we’ll always have our wedding anniversary celebration there.”
The ‘Posso Entrare? An Ode to Naples’ director – who has been married to the musician since 1992 – says their children are extremely proud of their parents.
She said: “They appreciate that we are busy and fulfilled.
“The kids all have their own paths and careers and they’ve got good work ethics, so we’re proud of them for that.”

Karen Gillan says more still needs to be done post-MeToo

OHMYGOSSIP — Karen Gillan has noticed “some changes” post-MeToo movement – but insists more needs to be done to stop abusers from getting into “positions of power”.
The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star, 36, believes the movie business is making a “concerted effort” to ensure actors are working in “safer” spaces but she feels there is still a way to go.
She told the London Evening Standard: “I believe in positive reinforcement, you know, and I do see some changes being made.
“I see a concerted effort to create a safer environment for people to work in. We have the introduction of intimacy coordinators. I’ve seen firsthand the effort the industry is making to hire more female filmmakers.
“But obviously, there’s a lot that needs to be done. There’s a small percentage of the population who are always going to be abusers of power. So what we need to do is really examine the systems we have in place that are still currently allowing people like that to get into positions of power.”
The MeToo movement went viral in 2017, amid the mountain of sexual abuse allegations against disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, 72, who is currently serving a lengthy prison sentence and is likely to spend the rest of his life behind bars.
The ‘Doctor Who’ actress also spoke about her struggles with anxiety and how she has come to terms with it always being part of her while she recommended exposure therapy for anyone else who has it.
She said: “The best strategy is doing the thing that scares you, the thing your body’s screaming at you not to do. It’s a version of exposure therapy, basically, where you just expose yourself to [the scary thing] enough times until your brain realises that you’re not going to die.”
The Marvel star – who is currently starring in ITV’s ‘Douglas is Cancelled’ about cancel culture – previously shared how Tom Hanks helped her through a crisis of confidence.
The movie star admitted she began to flounder in 2017 when her career was taking off around the world but praise from her co-star in sci-fi thriller ‘The Circle’ helped reassure her about her talents and put her back on the right path.
Karen told You magazine: “Every project I was doing was getting bigger and bigger in scale.
“I had always been totally fearless, and I suddenly found myself dealing with self-doubt.”
She told how Tom took her aside on set and said: “You’re really good. Keep going.”
She added: “It was the sign I was looking for. To have someone you idolise say, actually, you’re not terrible, was completely trippy. From that point, I worked on my acting and I completely rebuilt.”
The Scottish star is best known for her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Nebula but admitted she’d initially only signed on for eight days work on ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ but producers liked her so much, that they decided against killing of the blue-skinned alien.
She recalled: “I signed up for eight days, and then it just kept getting extended. So I was meant to die, and then just got brought back to life.
“I was still living in Inverness when I auditioned for that role, which made the whole experience less intimidating.
“I was able to go from my childhood home to the studio in London, and when I came home, my parents would be like, ‘Great, well done, now bring your laundry down.'”

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has ‘more admiration’ for Taylor Swift

OHMYGOSSIP — Joseph Gordon-Levitt gained “even more admiration” for Taylor Swift after singing her track ‘Lover’ on ‘The Tonight Show’.
The 43-year-old actor felt “terrible” about having to be in New York to film his appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s talk show last month because it clashed with his wife Tasha McCauley’s birthday, so he decided to surprise his spouse – who had stayed in Los Angeles with their two sons – by serenading her with her favourite song.
He told People magazine: “I felt absolutely terrible and knew I needed to do something. And the night that I went to do Jimmy’s show was her actual birthday…
“We didn’t know if we would get the rights [to perform the song] because it’s very difficult so I had to also pick a back-up and that was very difficult.
“I actually gained even more admiration for Ms. Swift as a songwriter as I was trying to find something else that would simultaneously be meaningful to my wife and meaningful to the wider world. It’s a really hard balance to strike. She’s a master, she’s truly awesome.”
The ‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F’ star’s wife was delighted with the musical surprise.
He said: “Oh, she was shocked, yeah. In the best way. She sunk down into the couch squealing, I think…
“I think she would be embarrassed for me to say how big a fan of Taylor she is. We went to the ‘Eras Tour’ together. She’s been a fan long before it was cool to be a Taylor Swift fan.”
But Joseph knows his special birthday surprise for this year has set a high standard for him to follow in the years to come.
He laughed: “Here’s the thing, though. The next year, I don’t have to do it from New York.
“I get to do it in private, which is much easier.”

Lily Allen ’empowered’ by OnlyFans account

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Allen finds being on OnlyFans “empowering”.
The ‘Smile’ hitmaker recently launched an account on the adults-only platform, where users can pay £8 a month to access photographs of her feet, and she’s relished taking back control after being “sexualised” by people from a “very young age”.
The 39-year-old star said on the latest episode of her ‘Miss Me?’ podcast: “I’m finding this actually quite empowering.
“Having been very sexualised from a very early age, and literally everybody else in the process profiting from that sexualisation, it’s actually really fun to be like, in power and in control of something that I find so silly.”
But Lily insisted she doesn’t feel her photos are “sexual”.
She said: “I don’t feel like it is sexual – how it is received is another thing altogether.”
The ‘Dreamland’ actress enjoys the “power element” of her new endeavour, and she has the full support of her husband, ‘Stranger Things’ star David Harbour.
She said: “He thinks it’s great. At first he was, like, not turned on, but he was like, ‘Is this a kink for you?’
“And I was like, ‘No, it’s totally not a kink’. But maybe there’s something in the power element of it that’s slightly kinky for me.
“I’m having my day in the sun.”
Lily – who has daughters Ethel, 13, and 11-year-old Marnie with her ex-husband Sam Cooper -set up her account on the subscription site shortly after she claimed she had been told she could “make a lot of money selling foot content” after finding out her feet had been “rated quite highly on the internet”.
She said on her ‘Miss Me?’ podcast: “I have a lady who comes and does my nails and they informed me that I have five stars on WikiFeet, which is quite rare.”

Josh Hartnett had ‘wild’ time at Taylor Swift’s eras tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Hartnett had a “wild” time watching Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ show.
The 45-year-old actor – who revealed earlier this year he’d become a father for the fourth time, joining his and wife Tamsin Egerton’s three other kids, aged nine, seven, and five, whose names they have not disclosed – admitted he had “never experienced anything like it” when he took his daughters to see the ‘Shake It Off’ singer in action in London last month.
He told the Hollywood Reporter: “It was wild. I’ve never experienced anything like it: 90,000 people at Wembley Stadium losing their minds, including my two daughters.
“And people were so respectful, my daughters were given so many bracelets and everything was really sweet.
“It was a good event for my daughters’ first concert.”
Josh and Tamsin are usually fiercely private about their home life, but the ‘Oppenheimer’ star recalled how they took a trip to Italy together on one of their first dates after bonding while making their movie ‘The Lovers’, which was also known as ‘Time Traveller’.
He said: “My wife and I took a trip when we first got together, to Lake Garda in Italy.
“We were in London making a movie together and were about to go our separate ways — I was living in New York and she was in London.
“We were like, we really like each other so let’s see if we should date.
“We decided on this super last-minute trip, since it was a quick flight over there. Her mom actually had to bring her passport to the airport.
“We didn’t know much about each other except from what we knew with working with each other, and we fell in love on this trip.
“We were at this place called Villa Feltrinelli. I was trying to impress her and it was very fancy, they had a Michelin star and it was very small, only six tables or something. They served a carbonara that, to this day, I can’t explain. There was some sort of brown sugar-type magic in there that amplified the cheese. It was a magical moment.
“That day, we’d seen this storm sweep across the lake and then we went inside and had this meal. It was like OK, one day we’re going to get married and have four kids.”
But despite how meaningful the visit was, the pair haven’t been back, even though they considered it for their 2021 wedding.
Asked if they have returned since, Josh laughed: “No, we haven’t gone back. We talked about going there for our wedding, but it was too expensive. I have to make more movies like ‘Trap’ to do that.”

Missy Elliott delayed tour plans to care for dying dog

OHMYGOSSIP — Missy Elliott delayed her plans to tour to care for her dying dog.
The 52-year-old singer is hitting the road for the first time since 2004 with her first ever headline concert series ‘Out of This World – The Missy Elliott Experience’ – which will also feature her friends and collaborators Ciara and Busta Rhymes – and she admitted she had postponed her performance plans several times over the years, most recently to care for her beloved pooch Hoodie, who passed away in November.
She told People magazine: “I stayed home a lot because I didn’t want to go out on the road, and something happened.
“He was 17 and lived a long, happy life.
“[He was] so pretty and lived a very long time.”
After Hoodie’s death, Ciara encouraged Missy to get back on stage.
She added: “So I said, ‘Okay, now I can leave the house without having to worry about anything.’

Missy claimed the dog is “excited” to wear matching outfits with her on the road.
She said: “I know people sometimes be like, ‘Why y’all dressing those dogs?’… But she likes clothes. She really [does] like clothes. She [sees] me pulling out the outfit [and] she’s running. She knows that means.”

Late actors Philip Seymour Hoffman and Bill Paxton hailed as ‘shapeshifters’

OHMYGOSSIP — Philip Seymour Hoffman and Bill Paxton are being hailed as “shapeshifters” by director Jan de Bont.
The pair were cast by 80-year-old filmmaker Jan in his 1996 blockbuster ‘Twister’, and he has now paid tribute to their talents after Bill was killed by a stroke following heart surgery aged 61 in 2017 – three years after troubled Philip died aged 46 from a drugs overdose.
Ahead of the premiere of the long-awaited sequel to ‘Twister’ – titled ‘Twisters’ – Jan told The Hollywood Reporter: “Those two were basically the shapeshifters of that group, and they helped make a group of really amazing people feel as if they had worked together for a really long time.
“It’s unique to get that feeling on the screen.”
Bill played Bill Harding in ‘Twister’ – a storm chaser who with his wife, played by Helen Hunt, 61, seek out tornadoes while trying to create an advanced weather alert system.
Philip played Dustin Davis, one of the storm chasers on their daredevil crew.
Jan, who also made ‘Speed’ with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, both 59, said the ‘Twister’ cast eventually “became such a team” similar to their characters in the film.
He said he hoped the cast would be “relaxed” around each other, and have “quick-witted banter” off-screen, which he says “did happen” thanks partly to Philip.
Jan went on: “Philip Seymour Hoffman, who was really laid back, was one of the people who contributed the most for that to happen.
“He was so completely ready to make a character for himself in the movie.
“In the script, he was in a lot of pages, but there were very few scenes with him on his own or with somebody else.
“So he created a character almost from day one, and everybody was surprised by that.
“What was also amazing was how witty he was. He could create such a light tone and humour that it would relax all the other team members.”
He said Bill was “high-energy” and “loved stepping in the middle of an action scene”, saying: “He loved really dangerous things. He loved getting other people involved as a group.
“So, slowly but surely, they all came together, and that was so nice to see happen.”
‘Twisters’, starring Glen Powell, 35, Anthony Ramos, 32, and Daisy Edgar-Jones, 26, as a new set of storm chasers is out in cinemas on 19 July.
