OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian felt “a little bit desperate” when she had a major psoriasis flare-up before the Met Gala.
The Skims founder has spoken openly about her struggle with the condition – which sees an overactive immune system cause skin cells to multiply too quickly, leading to inflamed, red patches – and she was concerned in the lead up to the 2022 fashion extravaganza after an outbreak “covered [her] face”.
Speaking to ‘SHE MD’ podcast hosts Mary Alice Haney and Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi, she said: “It’s only this one spot [on my face] that will itch.
“And it will really, really itch when it does.”
“When I started to get a little bit desperate was when it started to cover my face, and there was a spot really close to my eye, and it would just burn a little bit.
“I remember I had the Met Ball coming up that week and it was covering my face.”
The 43-year-old beauty – who famously wore Marilyn Monroe’s dress to the 2022 Met Gala – admitted it occurred at a time when she was “going through a lot”, likely referencing the public feud between her ex-husband Kanye West and then-boyfriend Pete Davidson.
Mary Alice asked: “Was that stress-related? I can imagine that something’s causing that. Because had that happened before on your face?”
Kim replied: “It hadn’t, no. I’m trying to think of what I was going through at that time. There’s a lot I could say.
“[But] I think I manage my stress pretty well, so it’s shocking to me.”
The ‘Kardashians’ star’s make-up artist managed to cover up the flare and no one noticed her skin struggles on the red carpet.
She said: “We did put on concealer. And I remember him vividly saying, ‘It’s so crazy that your makeup is holding really well on it.’ So he wasn’t concerned.
“Sometimes I get super insecure about it and I put body make-up on. And sometimes I’m just like, I really don’t care.
“For the Met Gala] I was doing everything I could possibly do at that time.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Common is open to marrying Jennifer Hudson.
The 52-year-old rapper admitted his relationship with the ‘Dreamgirls’ star is different to his previous romances and they have a particularly special “connection” both spiritually and because they were both raised in Chicago.
Speaking on ‘The Breakfast Club’, he said: “If I’m going to get married, it’s to her.
“This is definitely—with all due respect to all the women I’ve dated ’cause it’s all love—but this is a really healthy and beautiful relationship.

OHMYGOSSIP — Christina and Josh Hall have split up after two years of marriage.
The 40-year-old star tied the knot with Josh, 44, in April 2022 after less than a year of dating but they have decided to call it quits and according to documents seen by E! News, the reason behind the split is listed as “irreconcilable differences”.
A source said: “The ending of their marriage was dramatic. They have had issues for a while.”
Documents seen by the outlet also confirm that both Christina and Josh have filed separate documents in Orange County, California,with Josh having cited Tuesday July 8 as the date of separation.
The documents also show that Josh will be “asking for alimony from Christina and wants the court to eliminate her ability to collect from him” and has “divvy up what was theirs respectively before they got hitched”.
Christina – who has Taylor, 13, and son Braydon, eight, with her first husband and former ‘Flip or Flop’ co-host Tarek El Moussa, as well as four-year-old Hudson with second husband Ant Antstead – is yet to comment publicly on the split but she recently made it clear that she and Josh were not planning to add to her brood.
An Instagram user commented underneath a series of professional black-and-white snaps of the family: “Is that baby #4 I see peeping through?”
Christina sarcastically replied: “No. It’s called not sucking in my tummy after having three kids.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Shannen Doherty died with a “select group of friends” around her.
The former ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ star passed away on Saturday (13.07.24) at the age of 53 following a long battle with cancer and now oncologist Dr. Lawrence D. Piro – who became a close friend of the actress throughout her ordeal – has detailed her “sad” but “beautiful” final moments.
He told People: “In the last few hours, she was in a place where she was very comfortable and sleeping and transitioning, and she was surrounded by some of her very close friends. The room was surrounded by a select group of friends that were giving her a lot of care and support. It was somber and sad, but beautiful and loving. The hardest thing about this was that she wasn’t ready to leave because she loved life.”
The medic noted that the ‘Charmed’ actress – who was initially diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and was in remission by 2017 before learning in 2020 that it had returned and spread to her bones – never wanted to consider “any other alternative” than beating cancer and that by the time of their last conversation, she was still “processing” that things had taken a turn.
He added: “In her mind, she was not wanting to consider any other alternative than ‘we were beating this and we were engaged in life. We didn’t really talk about what that meant in terms of additional time for her because that just wasn’t how she operated. She wanted to live every day, not as if it were her last day, but as if it were the beginning of a whole another chapter for her.
“We kept going until we couldn’t go any more. The last conversation that we had, she was in the process of realizing that things had taken a pretty significant turn. The conversation was about love and support and caring and still fighting through. She wanted to continue to take treatment and fight through, even though her physical condition had taken a bit of a downturn. And so we did.”
The star underwent surgery towards the end of last year to remove a brain tumour she had named Bob and insisted at the time that she head worked tirelessly to regain her motor skills and declared herself as “not a quitter”.
She charted her health battles on the podcast ‘Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Doherty’ and insisted as late as November 2023 that she “wasn’t done” with living.
She said: “I’m not done with living. I’m not done with loving. I’m not done with creating. I’m not done with hopefully changing things for the better.
“I’m just not — I’m not done.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Bryant has died at the age of 69.
The basketball player and coach was also known as the father of tragic NBA star Kobe Bryant – who died in a helicopter alongside his 13-year-old daughter Gianna aged just 41 in 2020 – but passed away himself on Tuesday (16.07.24) after suffering a “massive stroke”, La Salle head coach Fran Dunphy confirmed to The Inquirer.
After graduating from university, Joe joined the Philadelphia 76ers, where he played for four seasons.
He went on to play for the San Diego Clippers until 1982, then for the Houston Rockets until 1983, and then enjoyed a decade in Europe before retiring as a player.
From his high school days, he garnered the nickname Jellybean, which is said to have come from his versatile movement on the court despite his big size.
In the early 1990s, Joe turned to a career in coaching and headed up the Akiba Hebrew Academy, his alma mater of the La Salle Explorers, the Diablos, the Los Angeles Sparks, and then went international before fully retiring in 2015.
Joe is survived by his wife Pam Cox – who he tied the knot with in 1975 – and their two daughters Sharia and Shaya.
La Salle wrote in a post on X: “We are saddened to announce the passing of La Salle basketball great Joe Bryant.
Joe played for the Explorers from 1973-75 and was a member of our coaching staff from 1993-96. He was a beloved member of the Explorer family and will be dearly missed.”
Following his death, fellow NBA star Magic Johnson – who is often regarded as the greatest point guard of all time – was quick to pay tribute.
He wrote on X: “I’m devastated to hear about the loss of my friend Joe “Jellybean” Bryant, the father of Kobe Bryant. Joe was not only a talented basketball player; he was also a great coach.
“A lot of people don’t know that he coached the LA Sparks in 2005, 2006, and 2011! Joe was an exceptional human being with a radiant smile that had the power to brighten any room, and a great husband and father. Cookie and I are praying for his wife Pam, daughters Sharia and Shaya, and the rest of the Bryant family, friends, and all those who loved Joe.”
Just two years before his tragic death, Kobe recalled that his father had given him all the advice he needed to become a successful basketball player himself.
Speaking on ‘The School of Greatness’ podcast, he said: “My father gave me a hug and said, ‘Listen, whether you score 0 or you score 60, I’m gonna love you no matter what.
“That is the most important thing that you can say to a child. Because from there, I was like, ‘Okay.’ That gives me all the confidence in the world to fail. I have the security there.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kat Von D has a secret talent as a musician.
The 42-year-pld star is best know as a tattooist and appearing on the TLC series ‘LA Ink’ but revealed as she prepares to launch herself in music that “not a lot of people” are aware of her singing talents.
She told UsWeekly: “Most people know me from tattooing, or when I used to have a makeup line.
“Not a lot of people know that [I can sing].
“That has always been a creative outlet for me.”
Kat – whose full name is Katherine Von Drachenburg – revealed to the outlet that she is also “classically trained” and first began to learn an instrument at the age of five.
Kat has now realised the track ‘Illusions’ and explained that before heading into the studio to record her album ‘My Side of the Mountain’, she underwent professional singing tuition.
She said: “I want to do this right, especially because people are expecting you to fail. They’re expecting it to be garbage.
“So, I started taking voice lessons with my voice coach, Ken Tamplin, for almost two years before even releasing any music.
“All these songs can be sung acoustically and I’m excited to take versions of [other] things so that people can really see that I am legit.”
Kat is trying her best not to take offence when she gets a negative remark online about her music but has found that much of the feedback is positive anyway.
She added: “I’m trying not to get offended when I see [negative remarks], but actually, it’s super positive. People [are], like, ‘Oh yeah, I was expecting this to suck, but it was actually pretty good.’”

The 71-year-old star – who is married to Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne, 75, and has Aimee, 40, Kelly, 39, and 38-year-old Jack with him – was asked about things she had “lost” over the years and admitted that she has endured losing “so much” over the years as she recalled a time when her hotel room was ransacked.
Speaking on ‘The Osbournes’ podcast, she said: “Over the years, I’ve lost so much. So many people, so many possessions. So many great animals. I don’t think that with things that you’ve given up or misplaced…we’ve lost so much. I’ve kind of put up a barrier to not thinking about it.
“[I’ve had all my jewellery taken] about four times.
“There was a hotel room. I came up from the bar. I don’t even remember what I was going up to the room for. It was about midnight and there were three guys outside the room pretending to change the light in the hallway right outside our door. Obviously, I came and they were [pretending] that they were looking at the light bulb because they were going in to rob us.
“Everything…they took. And then I called the office and said that we had a claim, the guy that was in charge of it all in our office laughed and said ‘Oh I forgot to pay the insurance’. I didn’t think it was funny so I was so p***** off with myself, with everything.”
Ozzy noted that the only thing to do in that situation is to “move on” from it, to which Sharon agreed before recounting that two housekeepers she had once employed also robbed from herself and her husband.
She added: “Two housekeepers robbed us blind and then there was a third one who we won’t talk about. That’s a painful one.”

The 21-year-old star has been in the public eye since she appeared on ‘Dance Moms’ as a child but it is only in recent times she has learned she needs a team around her for her safety, especially after recent incidents which has seen pranksters send the emergency services to her home unnecessarily.
She told E! News: “This definitely is different. It’s interesting—OK, I guess we’ll get really right into it: I got swatted two nights ago. I haven’t told anybody about this yet. But basically, I showed up to my house, there was four police cars outside.

The 41-year-old entrepreneur – who is married to tennis legend Serena Williams and has Olympia, six, and 11-month-old Adira with her – took to social media on Tuesday (16.07.24) evening to reveal that he is suffering from the illness that is caused infection caught from the bite of an infected tick.
He wrote on X: “Doing a full battery of health scans, tests, etc, and found out I have lyme disease. Wild. No symptoms, thankfully, but gonna treat. Good cholesterol is too low. Bad cholesterol is just OK. Gotta work on that. On the plus-side: 822 ng/dL total + 162 ng/dL free testosterone”
Alexis also noted in a separate post that someone close to him had been diagnosed with the illness some time ago but, unlike Alexis, he had shown numerous symptoms although medics just couldn’t get to the bottom of what was wrong with him until a test was carried out.
He said: “I’ve got a loved one who had it a few years back, showed tons symptoms etc and just couldn’t figure it out until they tested him for it and then found it (treated it successfully, too). I spend so little time in the wilderness/northeast this was quite a surprise.”
Some of the symptoms of Lyme disease include fever, rash, facial paralysis, an irregular heartbeat, and arthritis and if not treated early, the infection can spread to the nervous system.
The Reddit founder concluded his post by letting his followers know that he would be embarking on a course of antibiotics as treatment for the illness – which, in recent years, has also been endured by A-Listers Avril Lavigne and Justin Bieber – before begging his followers to not consult him for any medical advice,

OHMYGOSSIP — Elizabeth Gillies had to “reprocess” her time at Nickelodeon after watching ‘Quiet on Set’.
The 30-year-old actress played Jade West on the musical sitcom ‘Victorious’ in the late 2000s alongside pop star Ariana Grande but after watching the Discovery+ documentary in which a number of former child stars from the network alleged instances of abuse and a toxic working environment at the hands of producer Dan Schneider, felt “very lucky” that she still had her co-stars from the show to go through things with.
She told Variety: “I certainly reevaluated my experience with Ariana over FaceTime. We watched it together, and then we got together later that week or the next week, and we sort of broke the whole thing down and talked about it, and reprocessed everything together. There was a lot to go through.
“It’s tricky when you look back on something incredibly positively, and then you learn a lot of information and also revisit things as an adult through a new lens that reframe the memories in your mind a little bit, or cloud them, or taint them — maybe rightfully so. So, taking that time to thoughtfully look back, reassess and reevaluate was an important thing to do, and that’s something we did.
“I’m very lucky I have such a close relationship with my cast — and with Ari — and that we were all able to do that together, because we definitely leaned on each other, talked amongst each other and checked in with each other.”
The former ‘Dynasty’ star – who first worked with ‘Into You’ songstress Ariana when they starred together in the little-known Broadway musical ’13’ before they found mainstream success together on screen – wondered whether there should be psychologists on set for child actors as she warned that acting can quickly turn into a “total nightmare” for a child if it is not their natural “dream” and they are aware of what they are signing up for.
She said: “[Acting] is all I wanted, and all I wanted to do was go there every day and put my head down and work. I cannot imagine what it must feel like for a child that was pushed there by their parents and had no interest in acting and had to come to work and do that grueling job every single day because for me, it was a treat.
“And for someone else, I mean, what a nightmare. It’s like, if someone made me go play baseball for 10 hours a day, I’d be crying in my room at night. It’s just because it’s not what I want to do.
“Everything’s hard. Sports are hard. Acting is hard. Any job is hard.
“And if it’s not your dream and you don’t know what you’re getting yourself into, it can be a total nightmare, and it can be very damaging to your life, your mind and your mental health.”

The 56-year-old reality star – who is best known for her appearances on ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ – had been married to Gregg Leakes for more than two decades when he succumbed to colon cancer at the age of 66 in September 2021 and noted that things have “changed” so much on the dating scene.
She told Us Weekly: “The dating pool actually has changed over the years. My husband actually courted me. I don’t even think they use that word anymore. He actually picked me up with roses and chocolate and I thought it was corny at the time. But I still learned honey, that was the right way to go.
“Everything is kind of really fast. I have kind of dated just one guy off and on and he’s a nice guy. I do like him and he’s attractive and all those things. … I don’t know what the future holds.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Manganiello promised Sofia Vergara that he would “never leave” her if she didn’t want kids.
The 47-year-old actor split from Sofia – who already has Manolo, 32, with her first husband Joe Gonzalez – earlier this year after almost a decade of marriage and while she claimed that it all came to an end because he wanted children and she did not, he has claimed that is not the case.
He told Men’s Journal: “That’s simply not true. We did try to have a family for the first year and a half. And we had a huge conversation right out of the gate during the first month we dated. I said, ‘If you’re done with kids, then I understand. Just tell me, and I’ll know what this is, and that’s okay.’ But that wasn’t the case with her. And I swore to her that I would never leave if it didn’t work out. And I didn’t.

The two Hollywood stars were in their teens when they worked on Francis Ford Coppola’s 1983 movie ‘The Outsiders’ together, and they had to find ways to kill the time when they were “stuck on location”.

“So much testosterone. We’re 18-year-old guys stuck on location. So we would wear headgear, and we’d have mouthpieces in, but we would legitimately spar.”
The 60-year-old star admitted Tom was “jacked” at the time, whereas he wasn’t quite as focused on working out.
He added: “Tom is like this beast. And I hit him real clean and I rang his bell.
“And the next thing I knew I woke up and I was coming to on the floor. He like completely knocked me out.”
The ‘West Wing’ star thinks the ‘Mission: Impossible’ actor’s defensive instincts kicked in after he “hit him hard and his eyes went black”.
There was no hard feelings between the two, as Rob jokingly compared their sparring sessions to David Fincher’s 1999 ‘Fight Club’, which is based on the 1996 novel of the same name by Chuck Palahniuk.
Rob previously revealed how Tom went “ballistic” when they had to share a room as they prepared to film ‘The Outsiders’.
The pair had been asked to go from Los Angeles to New York during the casting process, and Tom was furious about sharing a room at The Plaza Hotel.
Speaking on Dax Shepard’s ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast, Rob said: “All of the LA people survived the LA auditions, and then the hand-picked people had to go to New York to face the New York version.
“So it was me and Tom and Emilio (Estevez) and C. Thomas Howell.
“[It was the] first time I ever stayed at The Plaza Hotel, and we check-in and Tom finds out we’re sharing a room and just goes ballistic.”
He believes Tom’s tantrum showed his desire to succeed as an actor and that he demanded high standards.
Rob explained: “To me, what’s great about the story is, there’s certain people who have always been who they are, and that element of them has powered them to where they are today and the rest is history.
“And the notion than an 18-year-old with a walk-on part in ‘Endless Love’ and like a 7th lead in ‘Taps’ could have that kind of like wherewithal.
“I remember going, ‘Wow, this guy is the real deal.’ I mean it made me laugh, it was gnarly. But in the end of it, you can’t argue with the results. He’s had his eye on the ball since day one.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Firerose has been banned from using Billy Ray Cyrus’ credit cards.
The ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ singer had filed an emergency motion earlier this month, seeking a temporary restraining order to stop his 37-year-old estranged wife from “unauthorised” use of both his personal and business credit cards and accounts after she allegedly spent $96,000 of his money following his divorce filing on 23 May, and now a judge has granted the order.
According to documents filed on 10 July and obtained by People magazine, the judge in Williamson County found “no legitimate reason for [Firerose] to have access to and to make any additional charges” on Cyrus’ cards, and restrained her from using them, effective immediately.
The order also ruled the 62-year-old country star and Firerose must “exchange income and expense statements as well as asset and liability statements” by 11 July, and must engage in “good faith meditation” no later than 31 August.
Following Billy Ray’s application for the restraining order, Firerose had insisted there was “no emergency” and allegations she had made 37 unauthorised charges were “untrue”.
Her response stated: “Throughout the divorce proceedings, the parties are to live as per the status quo during the marriage.
“Wife was simply living as she has since October 10, 2023, and Husband has no right to cut her off.”
In the wake of the end of their seven-month marriage, Firerose accused her estranged spouse of “extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse”, while the ‘Somebody Said a Prayer’ singer responded 10 days later and claimed he had been the victim of physical, verbal and emotional abuse within their union.
He later alleged the Australian singer “had been conducting a campaign to isolate” him from his family, including stopping him from communicating with one of his daughters — while Firerose alleged she had been subjected to “systematic isolation” and forced to live by “very strict rules.”
Firerose also filed legal papers on 14 July saying Billy Ray filed for divorce in May one day before she was set to undergo a preventative double mastectomy.
The blonde beauty stated in her complaint she was diagnosed as a carrier of the BRCA1 gene mutation in early 2020 and her doctors “highly recommended” she undergo the procedure and a breast reconstruction in March, with the singer scheduling her first surgery for 24 May.
When he filed for divorce, Billy Ray cited irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct – which Firerose denied in her response – and also sought an annulment on the grounds of fraud.
