He commented: “May his memory be a blessing. Condolences to his family.”
Referencing the recent deaths of the likes of Richard Simmons, Shelley Duvall and Shannen Doherty, he added: “Losing so many legends. It’s been a rough month for us 1970s kids.”
Sikking died over the weekend, with the tragic news confirmed by his publicist Cynthia Synder on Sunday (14.07.24) evening.

“His career spanned over six decades in television, film and on stage.”
The TV star is survived by his wife Florine Sikking – a cookbook author whom he married in 1962 – and their three children.

Following this, he joined the cast of ‘Doogie Howser, M.D’, where he played the father of the titular character (Neil Patrick Harris) and remained with the show throughout its run.
The actor then appeared in a string of made-for-TV movies through the 1990s and made two episodes of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ in 2004 before starring alongside Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon in the 2005 comedy ‘Fever Pitch’.
His final on-screen appearance came in a 2012 episode of ‘The Closer’, where he played Judge Edward Crosby.

Joe Biden admits ‘mistake’ at Donald Trump ‘bullseye’ comment days before assassination attempt

OHMYGOSSIP — US President Joe Biden has admitted it was a “mistake” to say it was time to put Donald Trump “in a bullseye”, days before the former US president survived an assassination attempt.
The 76-year-old presidential candidate was shot by Thomas Matthew Crooks – who was subsequently killed by Secret Service agents – at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday (13.07.24), and Biden has now taken back his recent comment, which during a private donor call days earlier.
Speaking to NBC’s Lester Holt, he said: “It was a mistake to use the word.
“I didn’t, I didn’t say cross hairs. I meant bullseye.
“I meant focus on it. Focus on what he’s doing.”
However, Biden defended other descriptions made about his rival Trump, who was officially nominated to be the 2024 presidential nominee of the Republican Party at their political convention in Milwaukee on Monday (15.07.24).
Biden said: “How do you talk about the threat to democracy, which is real, when a president says things like he says?
“Do you just not say anything because it may incite somebody?”
When 81-year-old Biden, who has come under fire for some of his recent debate showings, was asked about moments when he “appeared to be confused”, he said: “Lester, look. Why don’t you guys ever talk about the 18 to 28 lies he told?
“Where are you on this? Why didn’t the press ever talk about that? Twenty-eight times, it’s confirmed, he lied in that debate.
“I had a bad, bad night. I wasn’t feeling well at all. And I had been – well, I’m not going to make any – I screwed up.”
Earlier this week, Trump told how he hoped the assassination attempt on his life can “bring the country together”.
He told the Washington Examiner newspaper: “The speech I was going to give on Thursday was going to be a humdinger.
“Had this not happened, this would’ve been one of the most incredible speeches. Honestly, it’s going to be a whole different speech now.
“It is a chance to bring the country together. I was given that chance…
“This is a chance to bring the whole country, even the whole world, together. The speech will be a lot different, a lot different than it would’ve been two days ago.”
The former ‘Apprentice’ star explained he had changed from planning to attack Biden’s policies and excite his voter base to stressing his belief the attack has completely changed the course of the election campaign.
Trump believed he was saved from death because he turned away from the crowd to look at a screen showing data he was using in his speech at the rally.
He said: “That reality is just setting in.
“I rarely look away from the crowd. Had I not done that in that moment, well, we would not be talking today, would we?”

He kept his fans updated on his life on social media – and in March told them he had been diagnosed with and undergone gruelling treatment for skin cancer.

Halle Berry ‘leaves Kim Kardashian’s legal drama’

OHMYGOSSIP — Halle Berry has reportedly left Kim Kardashian’s upcoming legal drama.
Just a week ago, the 57-year-old star was reported to be part of the cast for ‘All’s Fair’ – which has been created by ‘American Horror Story’ boss Ryan Murphy – alongside Glenn Close and reality star turned actress Kim.
Now, Variety has reported that she has “bowed out of the show due to a scheduling conflict”.
She had also been attached to executive produce, but will no longer be attached to the show in any capacity.
The series is set to focus on an all-female law firm in Los Angeles, while specific details regarding Halle’s planned character had been kept under wraps.
Ryan will write, direct and executive produce the project, which is the first of his series announced under his new Disney deal after his Netflix agreement came to an end.
Kim and Glenn are both executive producers, along with Kris Jenner, Alexis Martin Woodall, Scott Robertson and Eric Kovtun.
Kim made her acting debut as publicist Siobhan Corbyn in ‘American Horror Story: Delicate’, and the spooky anthology show’s creator was delighted with the praise for her performance.
In a recent episode of ‘The Kardashians’, Ryan told her: “You were really, really good to the point where they called me and were like, ‘Do you think Kim would want to do her own show?’ ”
In a confessional after the chat, Kim joked she wasn’t should what she “got herself into”, and wondered if she could “really pull this off”.
Ryan – who also created the likes of ‘Glee’, ‘Nip/Tuck’, ‘Ratched’ and more – then revealed his pitch for Kim’s potential series.
He suggested: “Kim is the world’s best, most expensive divorce lawyer, and she has her own firm, and the thing about her firm is it’s an all-female firm.”
Kim – who filed from divorce from ex Kanye West early in 2021 before finalising the split the following year – joked she “has some experience” in the field.
Ryan continued: “Kim is the world’s best, most expensive divorce lawyer, and she has her own firm, and the thing about her firm is it’s an all-female firm.
Ryan joked that they might need to “build a sound stage outside” Kim’s home, with the mother-of-four – who has kids North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm with Kanye – also balancing law school, her reality show and various businesses.
However, she suggested she’ll have more time after taking the bar exam in 2025.
Pondering a catchphrase for the show, Ryan quipped: “‘Not only am I a lawyer, but I play one on TV.’ ”

Johnny Depp not official with Yulia Vlasova

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Depp is “casually dating” Yulia Vlasova.
The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor has recently been romantically linked with the 29-year-old model but insiders have stressed the pair are not formally in a relationship.
A source told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “[Johnny is] casually seeing Yulia Vlasova.
“They’ve known each other for a few years and see each other when they can.”
Another insider told People magazine the pair don’t use “boyfriend-girlfriend” labels.
They added: “They see each other here and there.”
It is believed the pair first met at the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in August 2021 and Yulia has shared pictures of them together on Instagram.
She shared a photo of her and 61-year-old Johnny resting their hands on each other’s leg in response to a question and answer session on Instagram with her followers who asked about her “favourite actor”.
She responded: “JD. He is a man who is incredibly talented and inspiring.”
It was recently reported that the ‘Black Mass’ actor – who has two children with former partner Vanessa Paradis and was previously married to Lori Anne Allison and Amber Heard – is “focused on moving forward” with his life following the end of his bitter legal battle with the ‘Aquaman’ actress.
A source told People magazine “He’s keeping busy. There’s a lot of good distractions, so there’s not that much time to be reminiscing on that darker period.”
Johnny doesn’t have bitterness towards Amber, 38, or anyone else in his life.
The insider shared: “There’s been a release of the old and embarking on this new chapter.
“He’s feeling better about where he is in life. There’s no animosity toward anybody.”
Johnny is currently living in London and he’s happy to be out of the spotlight.
The source explained: “He really feels London is a home. It is more of a quiet life, but filled with painting and music. He’s jamming out with friends and playing solo in times when he’s not focused on filmmaking.
“There’s a lot of good energy, and he surrounds himself with a good group of people.”
Johnny previously explained that he’s consciously distanced himself from Hollywood, following his legal battles.
During a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival, he said: “Do I feel boycotted now? No, not at all. But I don’t feel boycotted by Hollywood because I don’t think about it. I don’t think about Hollywood. I don’t have much further need for Hollywood myself.”

Jessica Capshaw had ‘deep sadness’ after miscarriage

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Capshaw felt “deep sadness” after suffering a miscarriage.
The ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ actress – who has Luke, 16, Eve, 13, Poppy, 12, and eight-year-old Josephine with husband Christopher Gavigan – had always felt “very lucky and very grateful” to have not had any issues getting pregnant so she was stunned when she attended a routine scan and was told her unborn baby had no heartbeat.
Discussing the “horrible” situation on her and Camilla Luddington’s iHeartRadio podcast ‘Call It What It Is’, she said: “I got pregnant and I was so excited and I had never had any issues before getting pregnant. I was very lucky and I’m very grateful.
“And then all of a sudden, at my 10-week appointment, [I] went in for the ultrasound, was by myself, totally unsuspecting, and there was no heartbeat.”
The 47-year-old star experienced a “deep sadness” and wasn’t sure if she should call her husband on the phone or break the news in person.
She added: “It was the most shocking and deeply, deeply sad thing.”
Jessica felt “very, very fortunate” to be under the care of such a “compassionate” doctor and a supportive partner throughout the “pain and disappointment”.
She added: “And then you know, life carried on, and I had a chance to take care of myself and my body and my relationship and my other children, and it was really incredible.”
Earlier on the show, Jessica and Camilla – who has Hayden, seven, and Lucas, three, with husband Matthew Alan – had taken a call from a woman with two young boys who wanted advice on whether or not to have a third child.
While Camilla, 40, said she “easily” knew it was right to stop at two because her “anxiety” couldn’t have coped with three, she noted to her friend: “You have four, though, so this is a different answer for you.”
The ‘Practice’ star explained having a large family felt “very natural” to her.
She said: “For me, I came from a big family, so I think that it was very natural and I didn’t feel overwhelmed.
“And Luke is three years older than Eve, and then Poppy is only 20 months younger than Eve. So we went like boom boom. It was Luke, and a break then Eve, and then I got pregnant when Eve was 10 months old.”
But she stressed it “sets you up for success” by having frank conversations with a partner on the subject first.
She said: ““I think that the answer is that it’s a very personal answer. [It helps to be] really really in touch and really really honest with yourself and with your partner.”

Orlando Bloom ‘saved’ by late Queen Elizabeth

OHMYGOSSIP — Orlando Bloom believes the late Queen Elizabeth “saved” his life.
The 48-year-old actor was gripped with terror when his parachute failed to open and he had to pull the emergency toggle while free-falling at 120mph for his TV show ‘Orlando Bloom: To The Edge’, but he believes fate intervened thanks to the British monarch, as the incident occurred just hours after she passed away in September 2022.
Orlando is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: “I cannot believe this just happened to me on my seventh jump.
“I pulled it twice, I looked up, the toggle, it was twisted and locked and I couldn’t get it. I was like, ‘What do I do? Do I undo and try and untie it?’
“That one was for the Queen and she totally saved me.”
After successfully returning to the ground, Orlando called fiancee Katy Perry and told her: “You know it’s not my time.”
The ‘Lord of the Rings’ star – who has Flynn, 13, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr and three-year-old Daisy with Katy – finds such stunts exhilarating because they bring him close to death.
He said: “Growing up, I was addicted to the adrenaline rush and I never thought about the consequences.
“Dying gets in your head when life and death feel so next door to each other. And that feeling, and that’s what keeps me pushing forward. Why am I doing this? Why do I love it? And I think it’s because I never feel so alive as being so close to death.”
Orlando recently praised Katy for her support when he was undertaking dangerous stunts for the show.
He told E! News: “We both respect each other’s paths and journeys and creative endeavors. And I think she knew that this was something that was on my path and something I’d chosen.
“She understood that it was going to be something that would be, pardon the pun, but the wind beneath my wings in some ways and that it was necessary for me.
“She’s wonderful in that way, in that regard. she’s very supportive.”

Kerry Katon’a son ‘knocked bully out’ after comments about famous mother

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona’s son Max “knocked a kid out” after they bullied him over his mother’s risque photos.
The 43-year-old former Atomic Kitten star – who previously launched her OnlyFans account in 2020 – revealed her 15-year-old son was shown an unsolicited picture of her taken without her knowledge.
She told OK! magazine: “He is really protective over me, he’s got into a few fights before trying to defend me.
“One time he got shown a picture of me topless – I was sunbathing and didn’t know it was taken – by a lad at school and [Max] knocked him out.
“He’s so protective over me that it’s better he stays private and just doesn’t get involved at all.”
Kerry has children Molly, 22, and Lilly-Sue, 20, with her first husband Brian McFadden, Heidi, 17, and Max with second husband Mark Croft, and nine-year-old Dylan Jorce with late third husband George Kay.
She revealed all of her kids have had to move school, “sometimes up to 10 times”, either down to bullying or so their mother could “find a fresh start”.
She added: “My kids don’t know any different to being raised in the public eye, but the negatives are that my mistakes are their burdens.
“So I know they get comments about me being on OnlyFans or people saying, ‘Your mum is a cokehead.’ Even though it’s not true, it’s not nice.
“But Heidi is like me, she’s got tough skin and isn’t bothered. She knows the money from things like OnlyFans helps to give them the best possible life.”
Her daughter Heidi admitted “having a famous mum” can be tough, but she tries to rise above it.
She said: “It’s always the first thing you get comments about, which used to affect me a lot. I had really bad anxiety, so I don’t think that helped because I wasn’t confident to speak up.
“Now I just don’t really care about negativity – I think it’s stupid.”

Lenny Kravitz stops show for Denzel Washington call

OHMYGOSSIP — Lenny Kravitz stopped a concert mid-show so he could take a call from Denzel Washington.
The ‘American Woman’ hitmaker told the audience he had to halt his ‘Blue Electric Light’ gig over the weekend because he needed to say hi to his “big brother” and they spoke briefly before he hung up the phone.
Lenny shared a video from the moment on his Instagram account and wrote: “When your brother calls and you’re in the middle of a show.”
In the clip, the 60-year-old singer walked up to his microphone clutching his phone and told the crowd: “I’m sorry, my big brother just called me up on the phone to say hi.”
Lenny then walked around the stage, holding his phone up towards the audience, who began screaming when the ‘Fly Away’ hitmaker told them the 69-year-old actor was on the other end of the line.
He said: “Y’all know Denzel Washington.”
Lenny then walked over to his camera man to hold up the screen and give fans a closer look at his famous caller, who smiled broadly at them.
The musician then said as he hung up: “Alright brother, I love you, I’ll call you later.”
When Lenny was added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame in March, the ‘Training Day’ actor took to the stage to pay tribute to his pal during the induction ceremony.
He said: “He’s more than a friend, he’s more than a brother, we’re twins. We just don’t look alike.
“God has blessed him with an unbelievable talent but even more so, an unbelievable heart.”
Lenny turned 60 in May and he recently admitted he can “barely believe” he’s reached the milestone.
He told the Guardian newspaper: “I can barely believe it myself. But it’s beautiful.”
The ‘Hunger Games’ actor also revealed the secrets to his youthful-looking appearance.
He said: “It’s a combination of genes, self-care, hard work and discipline.”
Despite this, Lenny has “never thought” that he’s particularly handsome.
The ‘Fly Away’ hitmaker shared: “I never thought that and still don’t think that.”
Asked if that’s really how he feels, Lenny replied: “I’m telling you the truth. I have grown to accept myself and be comfortable with myself, but I have never been one to look in a mirror and go: ‘Ooh yeah, look at that! You’re so beautiful.’ And especially not back then, as a teen. Absolutely not.”

The Prince of Wales has shared a touching tribute to the 53-year-old coach after he resigned as England manager following a devastating Euro 2024 final loss to Spain over the weekend, with the 42-year-old royal stressing he was speaking as a “fan”, not in his formal role as President of the Football Association (FA).
Sharing a photo of himself and Gareth on the social media accounts he shares with wife Catherine, Princess of Wales, William wrote: “Gareth, I want to thank you – not as the President of the FA, but as an @England fan.
“Thank you for creating a team that stands shoulder to shoulder with the world’s finest in 2024.
“Thank you for showing humility, compassion, and true leadership under the most intense pressure and scrutiny. And thank you for being an all-round class act.
“You should be incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved. W.”
The former Middlesbrough boss confirmed his England exit on Tuesday (16.07.24) morning.

“I look forward to watching and celebrating as the players go on to create more special memories and to connect and inspire the nation as we know they can.
“Thank you, England – for everything.”
Gareth first took on the role on a permanent basis in November 2016, and as well as his Euros record of reaching the final in 2024 and 2021, he also led the team to the World Cup semi-final stage in 2018, and the quarter finals four years later.

‘Sometimes I’d get on a plane and fly home’: Kathy Bates was told to toughen up after struggling with criticism

OHMYGOSSIP — Kathy Bates used to “fly home” from jobs if she was criticised.
The 76-year-old actress admitted she got her feelings hurt easily in the early days of her career, and was advised to get “tougher” – but admitted she has been known to take the feedback “too far” and has gone to the other extreme.
Appearing on a ‘Matlock’ panel at the summer TCA press tour, she admitted: “When I was younger, I guess I would get my feelings really hurt. Sometimes I’d get on a plane and fly home.
“I had a wonderful producer, God rest, him, Saul Zaentz. And I remember we were in London, and it was just a nightmare. British press…
“But I remember I got very upset, and I said, ‘I’m going home, that’s it. I’m not going to put myself through this anymore.’ And I remember Saul coming up to me and saying, ‘You gotta get tougher.’
“Someone else had said to me around that same time, ‘You gotta have a head like a bullet and a heart like a baby.’
“So that’s what I’ve tried to do. But sometimes I take it too far and I can be like a bull in a China shop.”
But the ‘American Horror Story’ star insisted she isn’t like the formidable characters she’s played over the years, though she thinks she could learn a lot from them.
She said: “I’m not like my characters. I wish I was.”
In her new show ‘Matlock’, Kathy plays a veteran lawyer who returns to the workforce on the strength of her reputation and she feels “really lucky” to have landed the title role.
She said: “I just feel really lucky. I get to play all of those levels with everything I’ve learned in the last 50 years… I love playing all those facets of this character, and I just feel so lucky to be able to do all of that in one person and in the same episode. I love being able to play all those different notes.
“Playing each scene is like creating a little bead on a necklace, you know? You just have to have faith.
“Because of course, when you’re making television or film, you’re breaking everything up, so we really have to be careful about where we are in the show and what’s happened and where we are in this character development and that one.
“And it all shifts and changes and that’s part of what makes it exciting because you never – you know, Matty is never sure what’s happening in front of her own eyes, and she has to shift with all of it. So, each scene is its one little pearl, so to speak, and so I just have to focus on moment to moment.”

Charlize Theron gets frank on parenting

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlize Theron’s kids can be “a**holes”.
The ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ actress insisted Jackson, 11, and nine-year-old August are “normal kids” who get “so embarrassed” by their mom on a regular basis and they both have very strong personalities.
She told E! News: “Oh, my God, they’re so embarrassed by me constantly. They’re kids, they’re girls, you know? I have a preteen and I feel like I have a nine year old who thinks she’s a 13 year old. It’s a lot of girl in our house.
“I’m just trying to keep my head above water, because they are smart and they are witty and they are firecrackers, but they do not go, ‘Oh my god, Mom, you’re so amazing.’ They’re like, ‘Excuse me, I need. I want.’
“They’re a**holes, but they’re really nice. Other parents know what I’m talking about.”
Charlize often uses “reverse psychology” on her children, who are both adopted, in order to get them to do what she wants.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I think the thing that I’ve learned as a parent, is like, as soon as you tell them to do something, they don’t do it so. Reverse psychology is what I believe in.”
The 48-year-old star launched the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP) – which seeks to address various issues in Africa including gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive healthcare discrepancies and a lack of accessible educational materials – in 2007 and she hopes her children follow in her philanthropic footsteps.
She said: “This is something that I fell in love with before my children came into my life. It’s part of me now. It’s been 17 years.
“They have really seen me be a part of this and work towards making this as successful as possible. And so hopefully, [they learn] through that.”
“But also, I hope that they will find their own interests.”

Ryan Reynolds let nine-year-old daughter watch R-rated Deadpool and Wolverine

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Reynolds’ nine-year-old daughter has seen ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.
The 47-year-old actor claimed one of the “best moments” of working on his R-rated new movie was sitting down to watch it with his eldest child, James, and his mother, Tammy, because he delighted on seeing their responses to the “emotion” of the film.
He told the New York Times newspaper: “I’m not saying that other people should do this, but my nine year old watched the movie with me and my mom, who’s in her late 70s, and it was just one of the best moments of this whole experience for me.
“Both of them were laughing their guts out, were feeling the emotion where I most desperately hoped people would be.”
Ryan – who, as well as James, also has Inez, seven, Betty, four, and a 16-month-old child whose name or sex hasn’t been made public with wife Blake Lively – explained seeing adult-rated movies when he was a child left a lasting impression on him and are still a source of inspiration to this day.
He added: “When I saw rated-R movies when I was a kid, they left a huge impression on me because I didn’t feel like people were pulling punches, and it’s been a huge inspiration to so many of the things that I look to make now.”
The actor felt it was important for ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ to have an R rating not only to shock but so director Shawn Levy could tell a “much more authentic” story than if he were “bound by a PG-13 rating.”
The movie sees Hugh Jackman reprise his role as Wolverine for the first time since 2017’s ‘Logan’ and his co-star admitted he gets “goose bumps” in talking about the delight he experienced in finally working with his 55-year-old pal.
He said: “In terms of the emotion, I’ve waited forever to do a movie with this guy, and I think he’s waited a long time to do something like this with me, so there are scenes where it’s pretty hard to distinguish between Wade Wilson talking to Logan and Ryan talking to Hugh.
“I love that, I get goose bumps even just talking about it.”

Tenacious D postpone ‘all future plans’ in the wake of Kyle Gass’ controversial Donald Trump comment

OHMYGOSSIP — Tenacious D have put “all future creative plans” on hold in the wake of Kyle Gass’ comments about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
Jack Black has confirmed the group have cancelled their current tour and insisted he was “blindsided” by his bandmate’s remarks on stage in Sydney over the weekend, which made light of the shooting at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday (13.07.24), which saw the presidential hopeful shot in the ear, one attendee dead and two others injured.
Jack had sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Kyle and asked him to make a wish, with his bandmate replying: “Don’t miss Trump next time.”
In the wake of backlash over the 64-year-old musician’s remarks, Frontier Touring postponed another Australian show at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre, which was scheduled for Tuesday (16.07.24) and Jack has now confirmed the concert series is over for good.
He wrote said in a statement: “I was blindsided by what was said at the show on Sunday.
“I would never condone hate speech or encourage political violence in any form.
“After much reflection, I no longer feel it is appropriate to continue the Tenacious D tour, and all future creative plans are on hold.
“I am grateful to the fans for their support and understanding.”
Kyle has also apologised for the “lack of judgement” he showed with his “improvised” comment.
He said: “The line I improvised onstage Sunday night in Sydney was highly inappropriate, dangerous and a terrible mistake. I don’t condone violence of any kind, in any form, against anyone.
“What happened was a tragedy, and I’m incredibly sorry for my severe lack of judgement. I profoundly apologize to those I’ve let down and truly regret any pain I’ve caused.”
Following the shooting, a Secret Service sniper shot dead the assailant, who has been named by the FBI as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks.
Trump was treated in hospital but released hours later ahead of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
