Jodie Marsh taking break from dating

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Marsh is “done with men”.
The 45-year-old former glamour model is taking time away from dating after splitting from her builder boyfriend Mark in March in order to focus on running her animal sanctuary because she’s tired that the men she’s been romantically involved with have all turned out to be “weirdos”.
She told MailOnline: “I am done with men. I haven’t got time for a relationship anyway, but I have had a really rough time with men.
“Weirdos are attracted to me but they’ll pretend they’re normal. They’re so desperate to be with me that they’ll do anything, they’ll put on this big act.
“And then just when you think, ‘Oh, he’s amazing, he’s so nice’, you find out he’s a gaslighting nasty psychopath…
“‘I think I’m the most unlucky person in love In the whole world. I have encountered narcissists, gaslighters, woman beaters, sex abusers, child sex abusers. You name it, I’ve had it.”
Jodie claimed one “amazing” man who she initially thought was her “soulmate” turned out to have built their connection on knowledge he’d gathered by “stalking” her.
She said: “One of my exes stalked me so much that he had researched everything about me to within an inch of my life and decided to ‘bump’ into me at my favourite cafe, where I’d go for breakfast every day.
“He’d read every single interview I’d ever done, watched every single YouTube clip, everything.
“So he knew every single thing to say to me to get me to fall for him. He knew every single part of my life, and he used it in a way that was so clever.
“For example, he knew that years ago me and my friends would bet tattoos instead of money. If you lost a bet, you had to get a tattoo of the other person’s choice. Well, the guy had researched me so much – and this wasn’t an easy piece of information to find – so when we were in our early dating stage he told me to ignore a tattoo of his because he ‘got it in a bet.’
“And I was like, ‘Oh my god, oh my god, I’ve never met anyone that does that. This is my soul mate. He’s like the male version of me.’ I was thinking he was amazing but no, he had just done his research. Even my mum and dad were fooled.
“And then the cracks started to show and the mask slipped. He started becoming violent and controlling.
“I found out he was a criminal and had been convicted of multiple crimes and in and out of jail.”
The former bodybuilder now always uses Clare’s Law – which allows people to find out from police if their partner has a history of domestic abuse – to vet potential partners.
She said: ‘Clare’s Law is the most amazing thing. Now I won’t date anyone unless I’ve used Clare’s Law to check them before.
“Every time I end a relationship, it gets harder to trust the next one. They sort of chip away at your trust each time and it gets harder and harder to trust in future.”

‘I’m supposed to be dead’: Donald Trump celebrates ‘miracle’ near-miss after assassination attempt

OHMYGOSSIP — Donald Trump is “supposed to be dead”.
The 76-year-old US presidential candidate was shot by Thomas Matthew Crooks – who was subsequently killed by Secret Service agents – at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday (13.07.24 and he’s reflected on the “very surreal experience” that left him bleeding from the ear after he turned his head away from the audience to look at a screen, meaning the would-be assassin’s bullet missed its target by a fraction.
He told the New York Post newspaper: “The doctor at the hospital said he never saw anything like this, he called it a miracle.
“I’m not supposed to be here, I’m supposed to be dead. I’m supposed to be dead.”
Trump wanted to continue his speech after the shooting, but Secret Service agents – who came flying in “like linebackers” when the shots were fired – told him it wasn’t safe and bundled him off stage, leaving him bruised and missing his shoes.
He said: “The agents hit me so hard that my shoes fell off, and my shoes are tight.”
But the former ‘Apprentice’ star praised the Secret Service agents for their actions and gunning down the shooter, who was on a roof around 130 yards away from the stage.
He said: “They took him out with one shot right between the eyes.
“They did a fantastic job. It’s surreal for all of us.”
After being shot, Trump was photographed raising his fist and he’s proud of the “iconic” image.
He said: “A lot of people say it’s the most iconic photo they’ve ever seen. They’re right and I didn’t die. Usually you have to die to have an iconic picture.
“I just wanted to keep speaking, but I just got shot.
“By luck or by God, many people are saying it’s by God I’m still here.”
The incident killed Corey Comperatore, and Trump wants to attend his funeral, while he is also keen to speak to the families of two other men who were injured.
He told his aides: “Get the numbers, I want to go to the hospital and call all the families.”
The Republican candidate was impressed by the reaction of the crowd when the shooting occurred.
He said: “A lot of places, especially soccer games, you hear a single shot, everybody runs. Here there were many shots and they stayed.
“I love them. They are such great people.”
And he appreciated receiving a call from President Joe Biden, describing his rival as “very nice” and the discussion “fine”.

Prince and Princess of Wales praise ‘grit and determination’ of England side

OHMYGOSSIP — The Prince and Princess of Wales have praised the England men’s football team for their “teamwork, grit and determination”.
Prince William and his 10-year-old son Prince George were in the stands at the Olympiastadion Berlin in Germany on Sunday (14.07.24) to see the national side lose 2-1 to Spain in the Euro 2024 final, and a new photo on the Instagram account he shares with wife Catherine showed their younger children, nine-year-old Princess Charlotte and six-year-old Prince Louis, watched the game at home on TV.
Sharing a photo of Charlotte and Louis from behind, which showed off their personalised England shirts, the couple wrote: “@england, your teamwork, grit and determination were an inspiration to all of us, young and old. Congratulations to Spain. W C.(sic)”
The new post came hours after William had previously expressed his condolences to the team.
He wrote: “This time, it just wasn’t meant to be. We’re all still so proud of you. W.”
And William’s father, King Charles, sent a message to England manager Gareth Southgate expressing his and wife Queen Camilla’s “heartfelt sympathy” following the defeat.
In the official letter shared on Instagram, he wrote: “Mr. Gareth Southgate, O.B.E.
“Although victory may have eluded you this evening, nevertheless my wife and I join all my family in urging you and your support team to hold your heads high.
“All those who have participated in sporting activities at any level will know how utterly despairing such a result can feel when the prize was so near – and will join me in sending heartfelt sympathy, even as we congratulate Spain.
“But please know that your success in reaching the European Championship final is a really great achievement in itself, and one that brings with it the pride of a nation which will continue to roar for the Three Lions today – and in the many triumphs which I have no doubt lie ahead. CHARLES R.”

Jane Seymour’s first marriage ‘did not count’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jane Seymour believes her first marriage “did not count”.
The 73-year-old actress was just 20 years old when she exchanged vows with Michael Attenborough in 1971 and though they separated two years later, both she and the theatre director know they shouldn’t have tied the knot.
She told The Guardian newspaper: “My first marriage, in my opinion, did not count. We were young. He jokes that on our wedding day we knew we were stuck, but it was too late to give the presents back. We still adore each other.”
The ‘Live and Let Die’ actress went on to be briefly married to Geoffrey Planer before getting hitched to David Flynn – the father of her children Katherine, 42, and 39-year-old Sean – in 1981, only to divorce in 1992, a year before she wed James Keach, going on to have twins John and Kristopher, now 29.
And Jane is proud of the fact she’s retained good relationships with all of her ex-husbands.
She said: “My second husband is probably one of my closest friends on the planet.
“For the sake of my children, I’ve remained friends with my third and fourth husbands, and with their significant others, too. We’ve been able to resume the good parts of the relationship.
“I don’t love how the marriages ended, but we shared amazing experiences. There’s an enormous amount of love there.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Kominsky Method’ actress – who is now in a relationship with John Zambetti – previously revealed she quit acting for a year after being sexually harassed by an unnamed film producer in the early 1970s and she hit out at her agent for not “protecting” her.
She said: “At the beginning of #MeToo, I felt it was appropriate to explain that I’d been put in a situation by a powerful film producer. I said ‘no’ and left, but he threatened that my entire career would be destroyed if I told anyone.
“My agent knew of his reputation, but didn’t protect me. It so damaged me emotionally that I didn’t act for a year.”

The couple were seen together last week when they were snapped looking intimate while leaving the London Heliport.
Yulia is based in Prague, where she owns a makeup and hairstyling studio, according to the Mail.
It said sources claim she first met Johnny at the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in August 2021.
She was the spotted with the actor at his friend and late musician Jeff Beck’s concert in Prague in July 2022, a few months after he won his defamation case against Amber and went on tour in Europe.
Yulia has not confirmed the nature of their relationship, but has shared a photo of her and Johnny resting their hands on each other’s leg in response to a question and answer session on Instagram with her followers who asked about her “favourite actor”.

Julia Fox quits project with ‘A-list icon’ over ‘white man’ director’s alleged racism

OHMYGOSSIP — Julia Fox has quit a project with an “A-list icon” over what she branded a “white man” director’s alleged racism.
The ‘Uncut Gems’ actress, 34, claimed he repeatedly displayed his bigotry during a conversation about diversity, calling the exchange insane in a video posted to TikTok.
She said: “OK, so the craziest thing just happened to me… so I’ve been attached to a project for five years.
I’ve given creative contributions to it, emotional contributions to it, it was like my baby.
“I even brought on like a major, major A-list icon to play alongside me and everything was going great until this white man director came in.”
Julia added the director of the project – who she did not name – tried to kick her off it after he was only there for a week.
She said: “I had mentioned (to him) that I really thought it was important to have diversity in our cast and our lead cast.
“And I took notes because he said, ‘Why? White people have it really hard, too. “And plus, diversity casting is like using black people as puppets.
“White people don’t have a duty to cast black people because so many black projects happen – and Asian projects – and nobody gets mad that there’s no white people in the cast.’”
Julia said the director told her “turn on Netflix, turn on any streamers, it’s all black projects”.
She said he went on: “Go to India, all the moves in India have all Indian people. Nobody gets mad that they don’t have diversity.”
Julia added she told the director “white people have been the default” until now, but claimed he then said: “What are you talking about?”
She went on about his attitude: “It was giving Proud Boy, it was giving All Lives Matter, it was giving white supremacy, and at that point, I was done arguing.
“And I said, ‘You know what? I can’t work with you, I’m done.’”
Julia said she wasn’t naming the filmmaker as she didn’t want to “blow this whole thing” up for other workers on the project.

Shannen Doherty settled divorce from estranged husband Kurt Iswarienko day before she died

OHMYGOSSIP — Shannen Doherty settled her divorce from estranged husband Kurt Iswarienko a day before she died.
The ‘Beverly Hills, 90201’ actress lost her years-long battle with breast cancer aged 53 on Saturday (13.07.24), and court documents revealed on Monday (15.07.24) show she agreed to waive spousal support and a “default or uncontested dissolution” of her marriage to Kurt – indicating the former couple settled their split outside court.
Shannen signed the agreement on Friday (12.07.24), while celebrity photographer Kurt, 50, put his name to the document on Saturday – the day of Shannen’s passing.
It said: “It is the mutual wish and desire of the parties to effect a full, complete, and final settlement of all their respective property interests, future and present, by this Judgment, and… completely resolve any and all issues relating to division of property, reimbursement claims and/or credits, spousal support, and attorneys’ fees and costs.”
The former couple’s lawyers also each submitted the paperwork early Monday morning.
Shannen’s long-term publicist Leslie Sloane announced the actress had died surrounded by loved ones.
She said: “The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie.
“The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.”
Just after Shannen died, her friend Tara Furiani accused Kurt of showing a lack of “humanity” during his and the actress’ bitter divorce battle, which began in April 2023.
She claimed he was “dragging his feet” so he wouldn’t have to pay her, saying online: “Life is so hard… life is extra hard with cancer and without the support you thought you’d have.
“If you have the opportunity to be a decent person, take it. You have no idea what people are dealing with and going through.”
Shannen – who got hitched to Kurt in October 2011 in Malibu, California – said in legal documents filed last month he was hoping “I die before he is required to pay me while he continues to live his life and shirk his responsibilities to his dying wife of more than 11 years”.
A lawyer for the snapper rejected her claims, alleging he wanted to finalise their divorce in September 2023 with a settlement deal – which was denied by Shannen as he allegedly “skirted around” how much he earned in the early aughts of their marriage.

In April 2023, Chris told People how their son Jack loved his dad’s film ‘Super Mario Bros. Movie’.
At the premiere of the video game movie adaptation, the actor added his boy “really freaked out” when he saw his dad bring the eponymous character to the big screen.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s mum Blythe Danner ‘raced to hospital during charity do‘ – but now ‘doing well’

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow’s mother Blythe Danner was reportedly raced to hospital during a charity do – but is now said to be “doing well”.
The 51-year-old Goop founder’s Hollywood veteran mum, 81, is said to have been raced away by an ambulance from Springs Food Pantry’s E.A.T. during the Hidden Gardens 2024 event at the Corbett Estate in East Hampton, New York, on Saturday (13.07.24.)
A source added to People, which reported the apparent incident on Monday (15.07.24): “It was early on in the event and she sat there for a while as they took her vitals.
“It didn’t look that bad, but they took her away anyway.”
A representative for Gwyneth’s wellness site Goop told People Blythe was “completely fine.”
On Sunday (14.07.24), Gwyneth was seen looking in high spirits as she danced at Surf Lodge in Montauk during her friend Kate Hudson’s intimate musical performance.
Blythe was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma, a rare form of cancer, in 2018, but it is unclear what her health scare involved.
She told People in 2022: “It’s a sneaky disease. But I’m fine and dandy now. And I’m lucky to be alive.”
The ‘Meet the Parents’ star’s disease was the same kind of cancer that her late husband, Bruce Paltrow, who was diagnosed before passing away in 2002 aged 58.
Blythe added in 2022: “Everyone is touched by cancer in some way, but it’s unusual for a couple to have the same cancer.
She said that after receiving her diagnosis, she “looked up at heaven and said to Bruce, ‘Are you lonely up there?’”
Gwyneth said the same year Blythe was “genuinely one of the strongest people” she knew after her mum endured three cancer surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
She added to People: “I hope if I ever go through anything like that, I can be like her.
“She went through it with so much grace. I was amazed at how strong she was able to be.”
Blythe married Bruce in 1969 and had Gwyneth in 1972 and their son Jake three years later.

Ke Huy Quan: ‘Filming Goonies was like a kid’s dream’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ke Huy Quan found filming ‘The Goonies’ “like a kid’s dream”.
The Oscar-winning ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ actor, 52, fondly recalled his time shooting the 1985 adventure romp after starring opposite Harrison Ford, 82, in 1984’s ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’ when he was 12 years old.
He told Dax Shepard’s ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast: “It was a very different experience going from ‘Indy’ to ‘The Goonies’.
“I got all the attention, all the love (because I was the only kid on the set of ‘Indy’.)
“All of a sudden, I walk on ‘The Goonies’ set (and) I was with six other kids.
“And they all knew what they were doing, even though it was their first movie. “Like, Sean Astin grew up in a movie family. Josh (Brolin) grew up in a movie family. Jeff Cohen was so awesome and cute, and he was a ham.
“And Corey Feldman was a pro already. And they all knew how to look the best in front of the camera, how to say the lines, how to hit the marks.
“This was only my second (film.) Now I have to fight for attention, which is something I was very familiar with because I grew up in a big family.”
He added the fun of the film was a reflection of the light-heartedness on set, especially when making its pirate ship finale.
The actor went on: “Oh my gosh. It was incredible. One day, we’re walking on the pirate ship, the next day, we’re going down a water slide.
“I mean, it was like a kid’s dream.”
“We were like a big family. So as with any other family, there was a lot of fighting, there was a lot of love, there was a lot of making fun of, laughter. We had all of that.”
The star added he came to view Josh, now 56, as “like the older brother” to the younger cast members and said he’s also remained close with Jeff Cohen, 50, who played Chunk in the film and went on to become an entertainment lawyer.
He said: “He’s my lawyer. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time.”
The actor scooped his 2023 Academy Award win for his supporting role in ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’.

Richard Simmons ‘refused medical help after falling night before he was found dead’

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Simmons reportedly refused medical help after falling the night before he was found dead at home.
The fitness guru was found lifeless at his house on Belfast Drive, Los Angeles, after emergency workers responded to a 911 call from his housekeeper and arrived at 9.57am on Saturday (13.07.24) – with his passing coming a day after he turned 76 and four months after he told fans he had been diagnosed with skin cancer.
Law enforcement sources have now told TMZ Simmons fell in his bathroom Friday night before his housekeeper helped him up and tried to get him medical attention immediately, but he apparently rejected the idea as he wanted to be at home to celebrate his birthday.
The outlet added: “His housekeeper tried to get him to a doctor after he fell in his bathroom, but Richard pushed it off, because he just wanted to stay home for his birthday.
“Richard fell Friday evening at home, in a bathroom and according to law enforcement sources, when his housekeeper came to help him up, she implored Richard to seek medical attention that night.
“We’re told Richard had described feeling dizzy before the fall, but he rejected the housekeeper’s suggestion about seeing a doctor… telling her maybe he’d go Saturday, but particularly didn’t want to go that night as it had been his 76th birthday. So, she helped him back to bed, and that was that.
“Saturday morning, around 10am, the housekeeper found Richard unresponsive on the floor next to his bed.”
Another source told TMZ Richard had no obvious or external signs of injury, including bumps, bruises or bleeding, after his fall.
The New Orleans native was pronounced dead on the scene, and police told the outlet that there were no signs of foul play.
Richard’s autopsy has been completed, and the cause of his death is pending toxicology test results.

Pioneering straight-talking sex therapist Dr Ruth Westheimer, born Karola Ruth Seigel, died aged 96 on Friday (12.07.24) – with her publicist revealing a day later the sexpert was set to add to her collection of more than 40 best-selling tomes on relationships with a new release.
It’s now emerged the book, which Dr Ruth worked on with US journalist co-author Allison Gilbert, will help people understand and cope with loneliness and will be out in September.
Penguin Random House will release ‘The Joy of Connections’ in September ad the book is being billed as offering readers “100 ways to beat loneliness and live a happier and more meaningful life”.
Dr Ruth lives up to her role of Ambassador to Loneliness with the book release – a position to which New York Governor Kathy Hochul appointed her in November 2023.
Allison told People about the upcoming release: “The last time I saw Dr Ruth, we were together and the editor of our book was able to bring her a bound copy of ‘The Joy of Connections’ – so she could see it, so she could touch it, so she could run her fingers over the pages and know that it was really, truly happening as all authors like to do.
“You want to see the pages, you want to feel the pages.”
Dr Ruth said she wanted her mission after the Covid lockdowns to be helping lonely people.
The therapist, who was 4ft 7in tall, is globally renowned for revolutionising the way the world talked about sex and sexuality and for helping drive the ‘sexpert’ industry.
She died peacefully at home in Manhattan, New York City, while clutching her family’s hands, her publicist said, but no cause of death has yet been announced.
German-American Ruth married three times and had two children, and was born in Wiesenfeld, Germany.
While supporting safe sex, Ruth’s mission was to get people to openly discuss sex and sexuality – with her motto being there was nothing to be ashamed of when regarding sexual preferences.

Shannen Doherty spent final weeks enduring ‘hardest time’ she’d ever experienced with cancer

OHMYGOSSIP — Shannen Doherty spent her final weeks enduring the “hardest time” she had ever experienced with cancer.
The ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ actress lost her years-long battle with the disease on Saturday (13.07.24) and at the end of June told her A-list friend Katherine Heigl, 45, she was going through hell with the disease.
She told her fellow star on her ‘Let’s Be Clear’ podcast: “I got cancer in 2015, and it went to remission, I think, right at the end of 2017 or at the beginning of 2018, and then it came back in 2019 as stage 4 breast cancer, but then it spread to my bones. And from there, it spread to my brain.
“There’s so many protocols. Eventually – it’s stage 4 cancer – eventually those protocols are gonna stop working.
“And you just hope that you are on one long enough for them to actually come up with another protocol and another protocol… so it’s really hard.
“This is probably the hardest time for me that I’ve ever had with the cancer.
“I’ve always kinda felt very positive and, like, I can deal with it, and this is definitely like – I’m overly emotional.
“I wanna cry every single second at good or bad (things.)”
Shannen also said living with cancer had altered how she thinks about life, adding: “What’s really beautiful about it is, I think you become so incredibly sensitive that your eyes are, like, wide open to everything around you, to people, to how they react, to what you can possibly do that’s better for the world, like, what your purpose here is.
“Because I think I struggled with that kind of my entire life, being a child actor and then growing up acting, and I just never felt like I was accepted.
“I always, you know, looked at the ‘Friends’ crew and was like, ‘Oh my god. I wanna hang out with Jen Aniston and Courteney Cox.’
“And, you know, ‘Why doesn’t anybody accept me, and why am I always called the bad girl?’
“For me, cancer was that moment where I was like, ‘Oh, hell no.’
“I don’t need to hang out with any of these people. I need to make sure I’m happy and living the best life that I can while I’m still alive.”

Richard Simmons’ cause of death under investigation

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Simmons’ cause of death is being investigated.
The fitness guru was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Saturday (13.07.24), a day after his 76th birthday – when he reportedly fell but refused to seek immediate medical attention, despite advice to get help from his housekeeper.
Police have said they do not suspect “foul play”, but the LA Medical Examiner’s Office has stated Richard’s cause of death has since been deferred – meaning a probe and additional testing no his body are required.
It can take up to three months before a ruling is made on the cause of death.
Two days before his death, Richard told People about his hopes for his legacy.
He said: “I never thought of myself as a celebrity. People don’t know this – I’m really a shy person and a little bit of an introvert.
“But when that curtain goes up that’s a different story. I’m there to make people happy.
“But the accolades I get from emails. I mean, today most probably, we’ll answer over 100 emails.
“And they’ll say, ‘I’m your No1 fan’. And I just write back, and I say, you know, ‘Don’t say that because I’m a human being just like you. And I know that you do good things, too.’”
Richard had not been seen in public since 2014 and it is thought he retreated from the spotlight as he found it harder to keep up his trademark flamboyant persona in public as he aged.
He kept his fans updated on his life on social media – and in March told them he had been diagnosed with and undergone gruelling treatment for skin cancer.
Richard added to People: “I know people miss me. And you know what? I miss them, too.
“But I’m able to reach them through phone calls… and through emails. And I do leave the house sometimes. But I’m in disguise.”

Armie Hammer thinks being cancelled saved his life

OHMYGOSSIP — Armie Hammer thinks he would have died if he hadn’t been cancelled.
The 37-year-old actor faced accusations of sexual misconduct including rape in 2021 – while no charges were filed following a two-year investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department – as well as claims of cannibalistic fantasies.
Hammer denied all allegations and insisted facing “a career death” saved his life, as he acknowledged his “s***** behaviour” including cheating on his wife and using “people to make me feel better”.
He told Bill Maher on the ‘Club Random’ podcast: “My life would have kept going exactly as it was. And I know that that would ultimately only lead in one place, and that’s death.”
He added: “I experienced an ego death, a career death, a financial death, all of these things, right?
“You got to die. And once you die, you can then be reborn.”
The ‘Call Me By Your Name’ actor insisted being cancelled has been “incredible liberating” because he was no longer “preoccupied with how [he] was perceived”.
He added: “Once everyone just decides that they hate you, you go, ‘Oh, well, then I don’t need anything from you people anyway. I guess I should just learn to be content with myself.’
“And then you go do that, and it feels f****** amazing.”
Hammer admitted he was “callous and inconsiderate” towards other people – including being unfaithful to his now ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers, who he split from in 2020 after over eight years of marriage – but he has repeatedly denied the allegations against him.
He said: “I used people to make me feel better. I was callous and inconsiderate with people and their emotions and their well-being.
“And I wanted what I wanted, and I was going to take it at any cost, even if it was at an emotional cost of someone else. And that is s***** behaviour.”
