Jax Taylor checks into rehab for mental health treatment

OHMYGOSSIP — Jax Taylor is receiving mental health treatment in rehab.
The ‘Valley’ star – who split from wife Brittany Cartwright, the mother of his three-year-old son Cruz, in February after four years of marriage – has checked in to an in-patient facility for care and support amid a “sensitive time” for the 45 year old.
His representative said in a statement: “Jax has always been candid about his mental health struggles, especially during the past few months on his podcast.
“He has made the decision to seek in-patient treatment. This is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family. They ask for privacy and respect until he is ready to speak more on this matter.”
The statement comes days after Jax revealed on Instagram he was focusing on “healing”.
He shared a photo of two books on his Instagram Story which had the titles ‘Get Out of Your Mind + Into Your Life’ and ‘Set Boundaries, Find Peace’ along with a caption that simply read: “Healing.”
Brittany and Jax announced their split earlier this year – but she subsequently admitted that a reconciliation remained possible.
The 35-year-old beauty told Us Weekly: “There’s definitely a chance. But I won’t waste my time and get back into a toxic situation.
“Now the veil has been lifted and I see how much I was always cleaning up Jax’s messes. I’m thrown in the middle of all these fights and constantly forced to apologise for him in the media and to friends. It’s hard.”
And in May, Jax admitted the estranged couple had been considering “dating other people” to try and save their marriage.
Speaking on his ‘When Reality Hits’ podcast, he said: “I am not — I repeat not — dating anybody. I was seen out with someone and it was strictly lunch. Obviously, Brittany and I are separated and have been for a long time. What we are going through right now is tough. Marriage is not easy.
“We are trying to figure out a lot of different things: therapy, separation, and maybe, possibly, dating other people.
“We are trying to exhaust everything before we have to go down the divorce road — if that would be the case.”

Kathie Lee Gifford hospitalised with fractured pelvis

OHMYGOSSIP — Kathie Lee Gifford was hospitalised with a fractured pelvis after a fall.
The former ‘Today’ host was recovering from her recent hip replacement surgery when she took a tumble and “just tripped” while rushing to answer the door to a friend, leading to her spending more than a week in hospital for physical therapy.
Kathie had “moved 300 books” by herself while signing books in Nashville, leaving her body “weakened” before she fell.
She told People magazine: “It’s my own fault.
“It didn’t take much, because I was weak in that spot. And the next thing you know, I am back in the hospital with a fractured pelvis, the front and the back. That’s more painful than anything I went through with the hip. The pelvis is unbelievably painful. But anyway, here I am.”
The 70-year-old star described the incident as a “humbling experience” and she’s now planning to slow down a little.
She added: “You think you know your body and the next thing you know, your body changes when you get older.
“And as much as I don’t wanna think about it, I am.
“It’s summer for everybody but me. But it’s OK. I’m going to get out to my little farm one of these days and stick my feet in my salt pool. The Lord is telling me it’s time to slow down. I’ve been running my whole life. The Lord is telling me, ‘You’ve planted a gazillion roses. Try smelling them.’ ”
The ‘Then Came You’ actress admitted earlier this month that her hip surgery and recovery had been “one of the most painful situations of [her] entire life.”
She added to People magazine: “It’s been really hard.”
Kathie needed the surgery as a result of her active lifestyle, but she has no regrets.
She said: “[I ask myself] would I change that? No, I was doing what God put me on this earth to do. Every year of it, I was doing what He called me to do.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa Kudrow has confessed being fired from ‘Frasier’ was “devastating”.
The 61-year-old actress was hired to play producer Roz Doyle in the sitcom opposite Kelsey Grammer in the title role, but she was given the boot before the pilot episode was filmed and replaced by Peri Gilpin and Lisa has now admitted losing such an important job was a huge setback.
During an appearance on the ‘Smartless’ podcast, Lisa called her exit “devastating”, adding: “I didn’t film it [the pilot]. I got fired from ‘Frasier’.”
She explained director James Burrows stopped the action during a run-through for the pilot episode, saying: “This isn’t working”.
Lisa went on: “I was trying to like [ask], ‘What can I do?’ But I think they did make a casting mistake because I went to the network with Perri Gilpin. I think they were just correcting a mistake. Cause Perri should have always been Roz.”
However, the firing led Lisa down a new path with helped her land her life-changing role on ‘Friends’ after taking a bit-part on another show called ‘Mad About You’.
She explained: “I did a guest star on ‘Mad About You’, they had me back, I’d already done a guest star the first season. So now I’m there for a different character [just called ‘waitress’] and my agent said, ‘You’re not doing this’ … [I was] not in a position to say no. It’s to me the best show and I’m doing it.”
Afterwards, she was invited back for five more episodes declaring: “There’s my rent for the year” and luck was on her side because the show’s writer/ producer Jeffrey Klarik later suggested Lisa for the role of Phoebe Buffay when his partner David Crane was putting together the cast of ‘Friends’.
Lisa ended up encountering her former ‘Frasier’ director James Burrows again when she had to audition of him for her ‘Friends’ role and she came away from the try-up worrying it was “hopeless” but she went on to be cast anyway and the part completely changed her life.

Bruce Springsteen isn’t ‘affected’ by billionaire status

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruce Springsteen isn’t “affected” by his new billionaire status, according to his E Street bandmate Steven Van Zandt.
Forbes magazine recently revealed The Boss has an estimated net worth of $1.1 billion thanks to the lucrative sale of his music back catalogue in 2021 and his extensive touring but his longtime pal Steven is adamant the musician continues to work because he loves performing and “the money has absolutely no factor” in his career decisions.
Steven told The Independent newspaper: “I’m not sure how accurate that [Forbes report] is, first of all. But I don’t think it matters, honestly …
“When you have enough money to live, that’s the point where it matters. Do you continue to work? Or do you retire on a yacht and drink mojitos off the coast of Portugal? The fact is: this is what we do. And so the money has absolutely no factor. It hasn’t affected [him] for many, many years. Ever since, really, [1984 album] ‘Born in the USA’. What’s that, 40 years?
“So no matter how many zeros is on the bank account, it doesn’t make any difference!”
Steven also joked: “It’s great for me because I’m gonna definitely borrow some money, I tell you that. I’m joking, of course … My bookie’s gonna love him. I’m joking again!”
Springsteen previously recalled that the felt uncomfortable when he first started making good money from his music because it set him apart from everyone he grew up with in his home town in New Jersey.
In Warren Zanes’ 2023 book ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’, the musician explained: “I was solvent, which would make me unique in my little neighbourhood. So I was dealing with that, with all my very conflicted feelings about being so separate from the people that I’d grown up around and that I wrote about.”

Katie Price ‘doing the best she can to rectify’ things after arrest warrant issued

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Price has insisted she is “doing the best [she] can to rectify things” after a warrant was issued for her arrest.
The 46-year-old former glamour model failed to appear for a bankruptcy court hearing in London on Tuesday (30.07.24), despite “very clear warnings” she needed to be present, prompting Insolvency and Companies Court judge Catherine Burton to call for her arrest.
Katie has now broken her silence and explained she couldn’t attend the hearing as she was “away” working but is “aware of the severity” of her financial situation.
She wrote on her Instagram Story: “Whilst I’m currently aware of the severity of my current personal financial situation with my ongoing bankruptcy, I am today shocked that whilst away working for a documentary on corrective surgeries that I should find myself yet again headline news.
“The media in my opinion once again are trying to cause continued humiliation to myself and family. There are far greater and more pressing issues going on around the world that are more important and I’m sure most people are bored reading stories that are constantly misrepresented.
“I have I am continuing to to cooperate with the relevant people on matters to the best of my ability which will be addressed after my return from work.”
Katie – who has five children from previous relationships – insisted she isn’t “embarrassed or ashamed” about her situation and is trying to get through “extremely challenging times”.
She wrote: “I have to continue in my work in order to satisfy these bankruptcy orders which is all I am trying to do right now. I am however not running from matters and will continue to take matters with great seriousness.
“I am doing the best I cam to rectify things during extremely challenging times…
“I will continue to work on my mental health disorders for the sake of my self and my family and do the best I can.”
The former ‘Loose Women’ star missed a hearing in May as she was on holiday in Cyprus but she claimed at the time she was unable to attend court due to mental health reasons.
Speaking on her podcast, ‘The Katie Price Show’, she said at the time: “The court knew that I wasn’t going to my bankruptcy, because mentally – my consultant at The Priory – I’ve been signed off for any kind of activity for court.
“I am taking my bankruptcy so serious, like I do everything else. It’s a very serious situation I’m in and it does look like, ‘Oh she’s just gone on holiday.’ No, my head at the moment needs a break. I had four days in my diary where I was able to go away.”
Katie also insisted she wouldn’t be there for her next hearing.
She said: “There is another court hearing and I won’t be going to that either. I want everyone to know I’ve had a letter from my trustees.
“Before I went away on holiday I had an hours conversation with my trustees who handle both of my bankruptcies and explained fully my situation. Since then I’ve had a letter from them and a letter from court.”
Katie was previously declared bankrupt in 2019 and again in March over an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000.

Charity Lawson went ‘to hell and back’ on Dancing With the Stars

OHMYGOSSIP — Charity Lawson went to “hell and back” with her mental health on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ after receiving death threats.
The former ‘Bachelorette’ star took part on the show last year, and though she and professional partner Artem Chingvintsev finished fourth, she was relentlessly bullied online and didn’t feel she was “protected” by producers as a Black woman in the public eye.
Noting as a therapist herself, she felt the show ought to have one on set, she told Cheryl Burke on the professional dancer’s ‘Sex, Lies and Spray Tans’ podcast: “I’m surprised you guys don’t. Honestly, I’m very surprised because quite literally, while ‘Dancing With the Stars’ was great, I literally went through hell and back with my mental health in that show. It hit me like a ton of bricks.
“Is it shocking? I don’t know if it’s shocking. I think to a certain degree it was expected.
“I came into the ‘Dancing With the Stars’ fanbase like, ‘This is going to be a piece of cake,’ only to be… almost to the point where it was so much worse than ‘Bachelor’ and ‘Bachelorette.
“[But] I was getting death threats for existing… for not performing enough, for being conceited, for being entitled, for being the biggest b**** on the cast. It’s crazy.”
After receiving a string of awful comments on both her own social media channels and the show’s official account, she confided in Artem, who went to producers in a bid to protect her.
She said: “It was so damaging, night in, night out.
“I had to tell Artem, ‘This is unfortunately what we’re dealing with and what we’re up against.’ If you look in comparison to every other contestant on this season, they don’t have this underneath their comments… I’m just literally existing and being called a b****.”
Charity cried and noted that while she can only speak of her own experiences, she thought it important to note because of “the difference that I have to go through this life as a Black woman and being on a reality TV show.”
She added: “It’s like the same things are just not protected.
I just had to suppress it and it got to the point where I was like, I’m just trying to survive. I’m just trying to make it out of the season… There were weeks where I’d come home from rehearsal where I’m like, I literally hope I forget my steps and get voted off… It’s a really dark place.”
The reality TV star was also asked if she felt her race had influenced the outcome of the show.
She replied: “Yeah.”

“I look forward to working with my talented friend Tom Hiddleston and bringing The Bard back to Theatre Royal Drury Lane.”

Sandra Bernhard ‘sad’ to have lost friendship with Madonna

OHMYGOSSIP — Sandra Bernhard she feels “sad” to have lost her friendship with Madonna.
The comedian became close to the singer while they were both living in New York in the 1980s but they had parted ways by the early 1990s amid rumours of a feud and now Sandra has admitted she’s disappointed not to have been able to “maintain” their once-close bond.
During an appearance on Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s ‘Dinner’s On Me’ podcast, she explained: “It would be fine [if we saw each other again], but I mean, I don’t know what it would be.
“I hate getting nostalgic and caught up in that time because it was such, like, the perfect time.
“The late ‘80s [was] when I was doing my one-woman show here in New York and I was friends with her and doing Letterman [‘Late Night with David Letterman’] all the time.
“I mean, everything was just so fresh. So there are times when I’m like, ‘That really makes me sad, you know, that we couldn’t maintain our friendship.’ I mean, I could have.”
The pair became friends in the 1980s and appeared together on ‘Late Night with David Letterman’ in 1988, while Sandra appeared in Madonna’s ‘Truth or Dare’ documentary in 1991.
Sandra previously opened up about the breakdown of their relationship during an appearance on the ‘Hot Takes and Deep Dives’ podcast, explaining she didn’t want to be just a “passing” friend for the singer.
She said: “I didn’t really like that level of visibility and having to work it constantly. We all as performers work it to a certain degree, but I’m a very improvisational person, on stage and in my life, and I don’t like being tied down in having to be a certain way for my image.
“What I tried to impart in our friendship is, ‘I’m really your friend, I’m not just somebody that’s passing through … And I guess for a while we had a real friendship, but it’s hard for somebody like her. She doesn’t really want somebody around who reflects too much of who she is. Therefore, her relationships just don’t last.”

“It’s a lot. It’s a surreal kind of time and the way it operates in your life, the older you get, because it just feels like I was holding her yesterday
“To our relatively new parents, it happens quickly.”
Matt’s ‘The Instigators’ co-star – who has Indiana, 20, and 16-year-old Atticus with former partner Summer Phoenix – understands his friend’s feelings.
He said: “It feels like goodbye, you know what I mean?”
The pair got to return to their native Boston to shoot ‘The Instigators’, but the ‘Good Will Hunting’ actor admitted he didn’t quite get the homecoming experience he’d imagined.
He said: “We shot some here, some in New York, but it was the first time I’d come back to Boston.
“Actually, all of my family isn’t here anymore. Like my mom was actually out of the country and my brother was out of town. So it was, it was very odd.”
Casey joked: “That happens sometimes. I get off the plane and I expect it to be like, ‘Cheers!’ Like, ‘Hey, Boston!’ And, like, no one knows you.”
Matt previously admitted Isabella loves to mock his career.
Asked on ‘CBS Sunday Morning’ if fans still associate him with his breakout movie ‘Good Will Hunting’, he said: “Sure, yeah—fewer and fewer.

“My daughter said, ‘Yeah, remember that movie you did, ‘The Wall’?’ I said, ‘It was called ‘The Great Wall’.’ She goes, ‘Dad there’s nothing great about that movie.’
“She keeps my feet firmly on the ground.”
But the ‘Stillwater’ star insisted his daughters are proud of his career and very supportive.
He said: “I like that they know that they love my job. They know it’s time-consuming and that it’s a lot of work and that it fills me up.”

Zendaya had multiple auditions for Descendants

OHMYGOSSIP — Zendaya auditioned “many times” for ‘Descendants’ but things didn’t “go her way”.
The ‘Dune: Part Two’ actress was a teen star for the Disney Channel thanks to shows such as ‘Shake It Up’ and ‘K.C. Undercover’ and “really wanted” to be part of the network’s movie series – in which Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Booboo Stewart and the late Cameron Boyce portrayed the children of classic Disney villains – but her numerous attempts to land a role didn’t work out.
Cornelia Frame, former vice president of casting and talent relations at Disney Channel, told the ‘Magical Rewind’ podcast: “Zendaya did audition many times for ‘Descendants,’ and that was a big deal.
“I mean, a really big deal that she auditioned over and over. She really wanted it, and it just ended up not going her way.”
The executive noted that Zendaya “put so much effort and so much work” into her auditions, but ultimately “it’s just one of those things.”
And she believes the ‘Greatest Showman’ actress’ career could have been very different if she had landed the undisclosed part as it may have stopped her from taking her debut feature film role in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, in which she portrays MJ.
She added: “Now that I think about it, I’m like, ‘Would ‘Spider-Man’ have happened right at that same time?’ Things happen for a reason, and you do often book this other thing that’s amazing when you don’t get something else.”
The original ‘Descendants’ movie was released in 2015 and followed by sequels in 2017 and 2019, as well as spin-offs ‘Descendants: The Royal Wedding’ – an animated film – and the newly-released ‘Descendants: The Rise of Red’.

Lea Michele suffered three heartbreaking miscarriages

OHMYGOSSIP — Lea Michele suffered three heartbreaking miscarriages before conceiving her second child.
The ‘Glee’ star has revealed she struggled to get pregnant with her son Ever, three, with her husband Zandy Reich but put it down to complications from polycystic ovary syndrome and she hoped “getting pregnant a second time would be easy” but she went on to suffer “two back-to-back, very early, failed pregnancies” followed by a third.
During an appearance on the ‘BDA Baby’ podcast, Lea explained: “‘I had never had a miscarriage before. The first one, I was like, ‘That was weird’.
“When it happened again right away, I was like, ‘Wait a second. Something is wrong’ … It wasn’t until a little bit later [that] I had another.
“I was working at the time. It was super challenging to … process what we were experiencing at the same time, which was very painful.”
After her third miscarriage, Lea sought medical help and was eventually diagnosed with endometriosis. The actress underwent surgery and then had to take “so many drugs and medications” and get “one thousand shots” before she finally got pregnant with baby number two.
Lea recently revealed her unborn baby is a girl and she’s been busy getting her house ready for the new arrival.
She also opened up about her plans for her daughter’s name and insisted ‘Glee’ fans should give up hope that she will name the little girl after her character Rachel Berry or any of the other characters she’s played on stage or screen.
Lea told ”Access Hollywood’: “I just think that with our son, we knew the name immediately. It was an easy thing for us. And this time around, it goes with the theme of things being different this time around. But I think we’re getting close. We better hurry up [choosing one] though!’
“Everyone wants Rachel. Is it going to be Fanny? Is it going to be Barbra? I would never do that to my child!
“But I do have to cross reference if there is a name – is there any association to anything I’ve done in the past. It will not be Barbra, or Rachel, or Hester. I feel like I’d be more inclined to do a Berry, because I think that’s kind of cool. Something like that. It would have to be a little … it couldn’t be right on the nose like that.”

She told People: “People don’t, I think, fully understand it when you experience life-changing events like that for so long together during your formative years, you have a connection that can never ever be broken by an argument, or a death, or opinion.
“No matter what, there’s that connection there, and it will be there for the rest of each of our lives and beyond.”
The former ‘What I Like About You’ star initially shared a group chat conversation with her co-stars in which they begged for “no more loss” and Jennie admitted that especially having already lost co-star Luke Perry – who passed away in 2019 at the age of 52 following a stroke – she and her surviving castmates are “supportive” of each other.
She added: “I think just really honoring that connection, and we have been supportive.
“We do reach out to each other here and there and offer each other support and just tell each other we love each other. I think that’s one of the hardest parts for me is that it’s now – it’s two people from our original cast [who have died].”
Jennie took to social media after the news of her friend’s death broke, where she remembered the ‘Charmed’ star as one of the “strongest women” she had ever met.
Alongside a throwback picture of herself and Shannen, she wrote on Instagram: “I am still processing my tremendous grief over the loss of my long-time friend Shannen, the woman I have often described as one of the strongest people I have ever known. Our connection was real and honest. We were so often pitted against each other but none of that reflected the truth of our real relationship which was one built on mutual respect and admiration.”
