OHMYGOSSIP — Christina Applegate had plastic surgery to remove her eye bags.
The ‘Married… with Children’ actress, 52, said she went under the knife decades ago as a “very famous” TV boss told her they were “too big” and causing problems with lighting her face on set.
She told her and former ‘The Sopranos’ actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler, 43, on their ‘Messy’ podcast: “I was on a show and one of the producers – a very famous (producer) who did a very famous show as well – said, ‘Hey, we’re having a lot of trouble lighting under your eyes. Christina said she “laughed” at the comment, asking her followers: “What is wrong with people?”
The actress has told Jamie – who was diagnosed with MS 22 years ago – her health struggles have had a devastating impact on her life.
She said in June she didn’t “enjoy living” and was sunk in “depression”.
But the actress later clarified she was “good” and wasn’t “sitting here on suicide watch” despite suffering “dark thoughts”.

Josh Hartnett loves there are no guns in UK schools

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Hartnett loves that his children go to school in England as there are no guns.
The 46-year-old Minnesota-born actor turned his back on Hollywood to move to a country farm in Hampshire with his British actress wife Tamsin Egerton, 35, with whom he has four kids, and he’s now admitted the quieter life is what he values most after making the move from his native America.
Appearing to reference the school shootings that have blighted the US, he told presenter Lauren Laverne on BBC Radio 6 Music: “I guess what I appreciate now with my kids is… there are plenty of things.
“I don’t want to get political, but it’s nice not having guns in school – that’s a very nice thing for the children.”
Josh went on about now being steeped in UK culture: “I would say that I’m quite assimilated at this point. It’s difficult to be fully assimilated as an American, because the cultures are so different, honestly… (but) I love living in the countryside here, I’ve loved living in London before, and it’s an adventure. “It’s fun to live life as an adventure.”
“We have, I think, a really wonderful little community that we have at our school, and I don’t know what it would be like in the States. Everything’s different.
“Not just because I’m in the UK but because I’m in the countryside and we have a tiny little small holding, like a farm.”
Josh added he keeps four goats called Olive, Poppy, Lavender and Grape which he said were named by his kids after things they liked when they took a holiday to France.
He recently told The Guardian one of the main reasons he left Hollywood was due to a string of scary stalker incidents.
Josh added: “People’s attention to me at the time was borderline unhealthy. There were incidents. People showed up at my house.
“People that were stalking me. A guy showed up at one of my premieres with a gun, claiming to be my father. He ended up in prison.
“I just didn’t want my life to be swallowed up by my work. And there was a notion at that time you just kind of give it all up.
“And you saw what happened to some people back then. They got obliterated by it. I didn’t want that for myself.
“There were lots of things. It was a weird time. And I wasn’t going to be grist for the mill.”

Law enforcement sources told TMZ Pax smashed his electric bicycle into a stopped vehicle at a congested intersection when a traffic light turned red.
The driver reportedly hopped out of the car to check on Pax before first responders were called.
Pax – said not to have been wearing a helmet at the time of the incident – reportedly suffered a head injury and was left with hip pain and was then rushed to hospital for treatment.

Zach Braff put Jean Smart through ‘bong school’

OHMYGOSSIP — Zach Braff put Jean Smart through “bong school” on the set of ‘Garden State’.
The ‘Scrubs’ actor, 49, wrote, directed and starred in his 2004 cult classic indie film about a depressed actor who returns to his home town and starts hanging out with his stoner friends while falling on love with kooky office worker Samantha, played by Natalie Portman, 43.
Actress Jean, 72, played Carol, the pot-smoking recovering alcoholic mother of Zach’s character’s friend Mark (Peter Sarsgaard) – and she has now told how she had never smoked pot from a bong before she had to film scenes doing so for the movie.
She told The Hollywood Reporter as part of an oral history record about making the movie: “I affectionately refer to my role as ‘Skank Mom’. I just thought the script was so amazing. I knew (Zach) was incredibly smart and clever, and I thought, ‘This will be really fun’.
“It was just one of those sets where it was fun to just wait for the next setup.
“Zach was teasing me so bad because I had never used a bong. I can’t believe that I’m admitting that since I went to college in the ’70s, but I had never smoked a bong.
“So he would make these big announcements: ‘Okay, after lunch break, I’m going to take Jean to bong school’.
“I had to learn a little lesson – a bong lesson. It was embarrassing.”
Zach recalled in the oral history collection of memories from making the film his then-girlfriend Bonnie Somerville, now 50, insisted Jean play Carol after working with the Hollywood character actress veteran on the NBC sitcom ‘In-Laws’.
He said: “I didn’t know Jean’s work that much at the time, but then I did a little research and I was like, ‘Wow, she’s perfect. Do you think she’d do it?’
“And Jean said yes. She was pitch perfect.”

Eminem invented Slim Shady alter ego as his music was ‘going nowhere’

OHMYGOSSIP — Eminem invented his Slim Shady alter ego as his music was “going nowhere”.
The 51-year-old rapper – born Marshall Bruce Mathers III – soared to global fame with his 2000 hit ‘The Real Slim Shady’, and in a video titled ‘Slim Shady vs Marshall Mathers: The Face-Off’ to go with his cover story for Complex magazine, the musician reflected how his performing persona came about – before saying it pushed him into addiction.
He told a younger AI generated version of himself in the clip: “I invented you because my life was f***** up. My music was going nowhere and I was broke.”
But he attacked his alter ego by declaring: “You didn’t fix anything. You actually made that s*** worse.
“You’re the reason I had to self-medicate. Because of you I almost lost my f****** career, my f****** family, my life.
“Life’s been great since you’ve been gone.”
Eminem, who has been clean and sober for years after his well-documented addiction battles, recently released his latest studio album ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)’ and hours before it came out the rapper told fans on X: “Public service announcement: the ‘Death of Slim Shady’ is a conceptual album, therefore, if you listen to songs out of order they might not make sense. Enjoy.”
Eminem has also shared an obituary for Slim Shady in the Detroit Free Press, declaring him dead ahead of the release of the record.
It said: “A product of Detroit who began his career there as a rogue splinter in the flourishing underground rap scene of the mid to late 1990s, Shady first became a household name in 1999 with the debut of his playfully deranged single ‘My Name Is’, which – along with its uniquely eye catching video – exposed the young artist and his lyrics to a wider audience.
“Ultimately, the very things that seemed to be the tools he used became calling cards that defined an existence that could only come to a sudden and horrific end.
“His complex and tortured existence has come to a close, and the legacy he leaves behind is no closer to resolution than the manner in which this character departed this world.
“May he truly find the peace in an afterlife that he could not find on Earth.”

The 50-year-old ‘Hunger Games’ and ‘Pitch Perfect’ actress was making the movie ‘Skincare’ when she was hit by “my first choking incident” while alone in her trailer on a break from shooting.
She told ‘Good Morning America’ the “scary” ordeal happened when she was enjoying lunch and a “little green pea” got lodged in her throat.
Elizabeth added: “I threw the door open – couldn’t make any noise, was so afraid. It was terrifying.”
She was spotted by a crew member who came over and asked “Are you choking?” before she was able to croak “Yes” – prompting him to “very calmly” give her the Heimlich manoeuvre.

Elizabeth added the world is full of misconceptions about the method, including worries it could crack people’s ribs.
She said: “They’re dying, so crack a rib if you have to. I would’ve been fine with a cracked rib. I literally couldn’t breathe, and it was super scary.”

Jamie Dornan ‘cast as new Diet Coke hunk’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Dornan has reportedly been cast as the new Diet Coke hunk.
The ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ actor, 42, is said to be replacing supermodel Kate Moss, 50, as the face of the brand, in a marketing relaunch that will apparently involve a new take on the soft drink giant’s iconic break ad – which famously saw actor Luck Vanous, now 63, drooled over by a bunch of female office workers as he peeled off his top and enjoyed an ice-cold drink of low-fat Coca-Cola.
Insiders told The Sun Jamie has already filmed his advert campaign at an outdoor pool in London, with one source telling the newspaper: “Jamie shot a huge campaign for Diet Coke just recently at a lido in South London.
“This is going to be absolutely massive and Coca-Cola has thrown a lot of money at it.
“Jamie’s deal is worth millions and they think it’s going to pay dividends with giving fans a bit of nostalgia.
“As well as a TV advert with Jamie, there will be a massive push on billboards and social media.”
Jamie is said to be worth around £11 million and along with his role as Christian Grey in the ‘Fifty Shades’ franchise is also renowned for his role as serial killer Paul Spector in the BBC’s ‘The Fall’.
A 2014 interview with Jamie for The Guardian noted he ordered a full-fat Coke with his meal.
When asked why he didn’t go for Diet, he said he doesn’t need to watch what he drinks and eats and appears to naturally stay in shape.
The interview profile said he usually drinks beer and opens a bottle of wine every night after helping his wife Amelia Warner, 42, put their then 11-month-old daughter to bed.
Jamie, who now has two other children with musician Amelia, said he ate “any old c***”, adding: “I could eat 10 packs of Hula Hoops a day and not think about it.”

Halsey ‘regrets’ comeback because of ‘mean’ fans

OHMYGOSSIP — Halsey “regrets” returning to music because she’s been viciously trolled by “mean” fans.
The 29-year-old singer took time off after being struck down by autoimmune condition Lupus and a rare lymphoproliferative disorder, but made a comeback last month when she released new single ‘The End’ which was followed by ‘Lucky’ weeks later – but Halsey has confessed she regrets getting back to work because she’s been given such a tough time by her own fans.
In a post on Tumblr, she explained: “My own fans are hands down meaner to me than any other people on the planet. Not speaking for all of you, of course, but it used to be just a minority that were awful to me and now it seems like a majority have only stuck around to chime in occasionally with their opinion of how much they hate me or how awful I am.”
She went on: “[It’s difficult to] to want to engage in a space that is completely devoid of any kindness, sympathy, patience; or to be honest human decency. Especially after years of hiding from the interactions for fear that this EXACT thing would happen.
“I don’t know man. I almost lost my life. I am not gonna do anything that doesn’t make me happy anymore. I can’t spiritually afford it …”
Halsey concluded by declaring she is having second thoughts about returning to music, adding: “When I got sick all I could think about was getting better so I could come back and be a part of THIS again, but I don’t even know what *this* is anymore and I want to crawl in a hole and I regret coming back.”
Halsey – who was born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane – previously updated her fans about her health struggles revealing she had a “rocky” start but doctors have managed to get her symptoms under control.
In a post on Instagram last month, she wrote: “I was first diagnosed with Lupus SLE and then a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder.
“Both of which are currently being managed or in remission; and both of which I will likely have for the duration of my life.
“After a rocky start, I slowly got everything under control with the help of amazing doctors. After two years, I’m feeling better and I’m more grateful than ever to have music to turn to.
“I can’t wait to get back where I belong: With you all … singing and screaming my heart out.”

Nicola Peltz Beckham sues dog groomer over ‘intentional and malicious abuse’

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicola Peltz Beckham has sued a dog groomer over claims her pet chihuahua Nala died after suffering “intentional and malicious abuse”.
The 29-year-old actress was left heartbroken following Nala’s death last month which she claims came just two hours after the dog was groomed by HoundSpa employee Jony Ceballos and she has now filed a lawsuit against Ceballos, HoundSpa LLC and the company’s owner Deborah Gittleman in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of Westchester, on Tuesday (30.07.24).
In the lawsuit, Nicola claims Nala’s death was caused by Ceballos’ alleged “intentional and malicious abuse of dogs.”
It added: “Nala went into the grooming van, a happy, healthy dog, but returned injured and in severe physical distress – breathing heavily and wheezing, with her chest pulsating. Nala’s tongue was blue, she had fluid in her lungs, and she suffered neurological damage.
“Nala was put on oxygen and cared for as Nicola distressingly and emotionally witnessed her dog suffer.”
According to PEOPLE.com, the lawsuit accuses the company of “reckless and malicious conduct” for keeping Ceballos employed following an alleged “history of complaints” about him “repeatedly” mistreating animals.
The suit added: “This case is about holding responsible those who abuse animals in their care and shedding light on the lack of protections for pet owners and their beloved dogs and pets.”
Nicola added in a statement to PEOPLE: “[I am] in so much shock and pain over my baby Nala suddenly passing last month following what should have been a routine grooming session.
“I posted the experience on my Instagram to bring awareness, and was heartbroken to hear the horrifying stories from so many others who have experienced the same tragedy. I can’t bear it. I’m outraged to hear how common stories like Nala’s are …
“[I want to] work for changes and laws to help make sure no one else ever has to experience this heartbreak … I’ve dedicated most of my life to saving dogs and I can’t in good conscience let this horrifying act happen to more families.”
Nicola previously took to Instagram to share her heartbreak, writing: “This has been the hardest month of my life. I can’t even find the words to describe my heartbreak on so many levels. Nala was perfectly healthy when she went to the groomers yesterday but came out hyperventilating and couldn’t catch her breath. we rushed her to the vet and she passed hours later.
“I’m sharing this in hopes that it might prevent this from happening to other dogs. Her life was taken away from her way too soon. She was my beautiful queen and stayed by my side for 9 years through everything.
“Please be careful who you send your dogs to because you don’t know what goes on behind closed doors. 1 day without Nala on earth feels like an eternity. I wish I could have her back in my arms … ”
