OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Hartnett hopes he has “learned a lot” since his days of early stardom.
The 46-year-old actor found fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s as he starred in a string of hit movies like ‘ 40 Days and 40 Nights’ and ‘Pearl Harbor’ but admitted that in those days, he was just trying to “figure it out” as he adjusted to a lifestyle of being known around the world.
He told Men’s Health: “I hope I’ve learned a lot since then. It was all just brand-new, very shiny, and very interesting. I look back on it all fondly, but I also see someone just trying to figure it out.”
Following the years where he was known as a teen idol, Josh decided to take further control of his career and admitted that finding a new agent was the key to finding longevity in the film industry.
He said: “I never wanted to chase the hottest property and be one of the guys who could have gotten it but didn’t get it, or whatever. don’t want to be a part of that game. As soon as people see that you’re working in movies that are getting more attention, you become more viable.
“It’s probably just a reflection of who I am. I’m annoyed by people that play the numbers and game the system and just do the safe thing. Generally, I find that kind of bulls***. I’ve always wanted to try to do things that are a little bit more off-centre.”
The ‘Trap’ star actor – who has four children all under the age of 10 with his wife Tamsin Egerton – has appeared in a number of blockbusters like ‘Oppenheimer’ and ‘Wrath of Man’ over the years but admitted he would love to make something like an animation so his kids could be involved in his career.
He told E! News: “If someone were to offer me a movie that my kids could watch, I would take it in an instant. But because of the way Hollywood works now, they see me in a different light, and I don’t know if I get those roles now. We’ll see. But if something comes along# in an animated world or something that’s made for children, I would definitely want to do that for my kids. I would love for them to be able to come to the premiere.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Erica Ash has died at the age of 46.
The actress was best known for starring on hit sketch show ‘MADtv’ – in which an ensemble cast performed parodies of films, other TV shows and current events – and passed away on Sunday (28.07.24), her friend Loni Love confirmed.
She wrote on Instagram: “I am sad to confirm my friend and fellow actress Erica Ash has passed…Erica was talented and hilarious whether it was the show ‘Survivor’s Remorse’ or ‘Madtv’ she would put her all into her work. She would always just be there.. now she’s gone.. My sincere condolences to her family and fans.”
The star – who did impressions of stars such as Naomi Campbell, Michelle Obama and Whoopi Goldberg during her time on the comedy series – was also remembered by BET, who sent their “deepest condolences” to her friends and family.
Their statement read: “Today, #BETRemembers actress and comedienne Erica Ash who has passed away at the age of 46. Known for being equal parts witty and funny, Erica starred in BET favorites such as legal drama In Contempt and reality spoof Real Husbands of Hollywood. We send our deepest condolences and love to her parents, siblings, friends, and family. ”

It later emerged that the ‘Scary Movie’ actress had endured a long battle with cancer, and her family have asked for Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation or other breast cancer charities in lieu of flowers.

The 44-year-old pop megastar – who has Willow, 12, and seven-year-old son Jameson with husband Carey – often brings her eldest out as a guest on her tours but she left the Summer Carnival shows earlier this year to star in her school production of the classic musical ‘ Bye Bye Birdie’ and now her father has thanked the ‘So What’ singer for helping her achieve such a goal.
Carey wrote on Instagram: “I’m beyond proud of my lil girl, Willow.
“She just wrapped up her 4 night theater production of Bye Bye Birdie, and she killed it. I can’t believe how brave she is, and how she switches it on for her performance. To watch her progress over the last 5 years has been very special to watch.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jimmy Kimmel has rejected an approach to host the Oscars in 2025.
The 56-year-old comedian has already hosted the Academy Awards four times, including the ceremony held earlier this year.
However, Jimmy has already declined the opportunity to return in 2025, according to PEOPLE.
Elsewhere, John Mulaney has also passed on the opportunity to host the next Academy Awards.
The 41-year-old comedian – who is married to actress Olivia Munn – actually hosted the Academy’s 14th Governors Awards in January. He was approached to host the Oscars earlier this year, but he’s already rejected the opportunity.
The awards ceremony went host-less from 2019 to 2021, while the 2022 event was jointly hosted by Regina Hall, Wanda Sykes and Amy Schumer.
Jimmy returned to host the awards show in 2023 and it proved to be a big hit with viewers, attracting a US TV audience of 19.5 million people.
Despite this, Jimmy previously admitted that the show requires lots of planning and preparation.
He told PEOPLE: “We work very hard to make the show as good as it possibly can be.”
The TV star has learned a number of important lessons through hosting the ceremony so often.
Jimmy – who has hosted his own late-night talk show since 2003 – said: “The big challenge always is trying to keep the show moving, so it’s a matter of picking your spots and popping in when you’re needed and staying out of the picture when you’re not.”
Jimmy was reminded of the potential pitfalls of hosting the ceremony by his wife Molly. But the comedian suggested Molly’s attitude actually encouraged him to accept the offer in 2023.
He quipped: “Weirdly, that just makes me more inclined to do it. Maybe I’m just argumentative by nature. But I know what I’m getting into.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Reynolds has learned to embrace the “chaos” as a father-of-four.
The 47-year-old actor – who has James, nine, Inez, seven, Betty, four, and Olin, 15 months, with his wife Blake Lively – has revealed that he loves the challenges of parenthood.
During an appearance on the ‘Not Skinny But Not Fat’ podcast, Ryan said that he’d decided to “embrace the chaos”.
The Hollywood star – who has been married to Blake since 2012 – also accepts that “nothing’s going to be tidy ever again” after having four children.
According to Ryan, his wife “always says, ‘They’re all under our roof right now. The whole family’s under our roof right now. We have them all.’ And that is a fleeting thing. Not an infinite resource, you know?”
Meanwhile, Ryan recently revealed that he’s received some good parenting advice from Shawn Levy, the director of ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.
The actor – who plays Deadpool in the money-spinning film franchise – told PEOPLE: “Shawn Levy actually told me something that stuck with me forever, that people tend to only talk about their wins. But I think it’s really important for your kids in particular to know that you lose.”
Ryan wants his kids to understand that “you lose so much more than you win” in life.
The actor – who was previously married to movie star Scarlett Johansson – explained: “You don’t get what you want all the time. Something you worked on really hard didn’t work. You feel like you said something embarrassing today, you did something that didn’t sit right with you.

The 56-year-old Broadway star was adopted by Jerry and Junie Chenoweth when she was just five days old and on Monday (29.07.24) evening, she took to social media to thank her parents for “blessing” her with the life she has today.
She wrote on Instagram: “Y’all might already know… but in my family we celebrated two birthdays. My true birthday (the 24th) and then my GOTCHA DAY! “Which is today… the 29th. It’s the day my parents adopted me. The day I became a Chenoweth. Gotcha days aren’t only for dogs, people!!!
“I’m forever grateful to my parents for bringing me into their home 56 years ago today. This life they’ve blessed me with is one I do not take for granted. I love you, mom and dad!!”

In an op-ed for Huff Post, she said: “I can honestly say being adopted was one of the best things to ever happen to me.
“It was never something that was hidden from me and it is not something I have ever been ashamed of. I recognize how fortunate I am to have parents who love and support me unconditionally. The fact that they are not my biological parents does not change the fact that they are simply, my parents.”

She told OK! Magazine: “Female friendships, to me, are the most important relationships of all. OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift is “completely in shock” following a knife attack in the UK on Monday (29.07.24).
The 34-year-old singer has taken to social media to express her sympathies, after two children died and nine suffered critical injuries in a knife attack on a Taylor-themed dance class in Southport, north-west England.
In a message posted on her Instagram Story, Taylor said: “The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I’m just completely in shock… The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families and the first responders.
“These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families. (sic)”
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
Meanwhile, a group of Taylor’s fans have launched a fundraiser for the victims and their families.
The group have already raised more than £28,000 through a JustGiving page, thereby more than doubling their original target of £13,000.
Cristina Jones, from the UK and EU Taylor Swift Facebook group, told the BBC: “The idea that those parents are going through hell right now and the idea they had any financial stress over this breaks our hearts.
“We can’t make it better in any way. But taking away some stress was definitely a priority for us.”
The group explained that they are working with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool in a bid to raise money for the families.
What’s more, they are seeking to raise “funeral funds for the two young Swifties who have tragically passed”.

OHMYGOSSIP — An arrest warrant has been issued for Katie Price after she failed to attend a court hearing.
The 46-year-old star was scheduled to appear at a bankruptcy court in London on Tuesday (30.07.24), having previously been warned that she must attend the hearing or face being arrested.
Insolvency and Companies Court judge Catherine Burton has confirmed that Price has been given “very clear warnings” about what would happen if she failed to attend the hearing.
The judge added: “It is in my judgement necessary that the court issue a warrant for Ms Price’s arrest.
“She has no real excuse in failing to attend today’s hearing. The reason for her absence today is irrelevant.”
Price missed a hearing in March because she was “dealing with serious stuff”.
But now, Barrister Darragh Connell, who represents the trustee for Price’s two bankruptcies, has confirmed to the court that Price will be detained to ensure that she attends a hearing at a future date.
He said that Price would “not be kept in custody for a long period of time”.
He added: “Her liberty is on the line, but unfortunately we are at the end of the road in relation to this matter.”
Price was declared bankrupt in 2019 and again in March over an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000.
Meanwhile, Price previously insisted that she is trying to repay her debts.
The former glamour model said on ‘The Katie Price Show’: “Every day people go into bankruptcies. I do pay it off, and I am paying it off.”
Price also questioned the logic of sending her to prison.
The controversial star said: “It would cost them more money to put me in prison than out.”

Jennifer – who played Harper Finkle on the magical sitcom alongside Selena – insisted that the pair of pop megastars are “fine” with each other now and cannot really remember what all the drama was about in the first place.

The 31-year-old rap star has taken to social media to rubbish suggestions that she’s under pressure to sell her home in Atlanta, because she’s battling financial problems.
Cardi – who has Kulture, six, and Wave, two, with rapper Offset – wrote on X: “You bum b****** wish… me and offset bought that house in 2019 for 5 million now it’s worth 7. Check the Atlanta market. And no, we not selling it… and if I ever sold it I would just sell my part to Offset since he loves Atlanta. Throwing salt on my home? Hating bad (sic)”
Cardi has enjoyed a meteoric rise over recent years.
However, the rap star has repeatedly suggested that she was actually happier before she found fame and success.

The 39-year-old soccer star referred to Georgina Rodríguez – his long-time partner – as his “wife” in a new promotional video for the fitness brand Whoop.

The 44-year-old actor stars alongside Ryan in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’, and Channing has taken to social media to heap praise on his co-star.
