OHMYGOSSIP — Keanu Reeves will make his Broadway debut next year.
The 59-year-old actor is set to reunite with his ‘Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure’ co-star Alex Winter in a new revival of Samuel Beckett’s ‘Waiting for Godot’, which will open on the New York stage in autumn 2025.
Keanu will play the role of Estragon opposite his pal as Vladimir in the play, which first premiered in 1953 and follows two acquaintances pondering the meaning of life.
According to Playbill, ‘Sunset Boulevard’s Jamie Lloyd will direct and produce via his eponymously titled company, along with ATG Productions, Bad Robot Live and Gavin Kalin Productions. An exact location has not yet been chosen for the production, but it will be held at a one of the seven theatres in the city owned by the Ambassador Theatre Group.
This will mark the fifth major staging of the show, with previous stars including the late Robin Williams, Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen and Steve Martin.
While this will be the ‘Matrix’ star’s Broadway debut, Alex has appeared on stage before, stepping out for the first time back in 1979 for productions of ‘Peter Pan’ and ‘The King + I’.
Meanwhile, the ‘John Wick’ star recently explained he was using crutches a few months ago after fracturing his kneecap when he tripped on a piece of carpet while filming ‘Good Fortune’.
During an appearance on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’, Keanu explained: “I was filming a scene with Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen and we were in a cold plunge.
“I was loving it, I was standing there, and we finish the scene, and you know when you’re cold and you’re [shuffling]? I had a bathing suit and a towel, and you put it over your head and you do the cold shuffle?
“I’m doing the cold shuffle in this room that had protective carpets down and then, just here, there was like a little pocket, and my foot got caught in the pocket in the shuffle, and then I went [down], but [my knee] didn’t follow.
“And then, in slow motion, I went falling. My arms came out, but then my knee failed because it’s got some stuff, and I spiked it. And my patella – kneecap – cracked like a potato chip.”
Initially, Keanu was convinced he was fine following the fall but he later realised something was wrong because his knee was “blowing up”.
He quipped: “Comedy’s hard, man.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Morgan Wallen’s concert was delayed on Friday (02.08.24) due to a “terroristic threat” believed to be against Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
The country star was 45 minutes late arriving on stage at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium – where the two Kansas City Chiefs players were in attendance – and it has now been revealed the hold-up was due to police making an arrest.
The Jackson County Prosecutor said there was a “terroristic threat”, with the alleged targets being “two individuals who were members of the Kansas City Chiefs organisation”.
A statement read: “An Illinois man has been charged with a felony after he threatened on social media to shoot two individuals at a concert Friday night at Arrowhead in Kansas City, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
“Aaron Brown of Winchester, Ill, faces a Class E felony of Making a Terroristic Threat in the 2nd Degree. According to court records, Kansas City police detectives and intelligence analysts in the Kansas City Fusion Center working at GEHA field at Arrowhead on Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, officers were monitoring threats at a planned concert when they observed on X (Twitter) a threat against two individuals, who were members of the Kansas City Chiefs organization, were present at the event.
“The defendant confirmed to police where he was located at Arrowhead. The concert was delayed for 40 minutes while the defendant was located.
“The defendant was charged earlier today and a $15,000 bond was set. Prosecutors requested a $250,000 cash bond.”
Some fans had criticised Morgan for delaying the show because he was “hanging out with Chiefs players” but the statement stressed the hold-up was a result of the law enforcement action, and sources told Variety the concert was almost cancelled just five minutes before it was due to begin.
Travis – who is dating Taylor Swift – and Patrick walked out of the dressing room with the ‘Last Night’ singer, who donned a bespoke Chiefs jersey with the number seven on the front, paying homage to his days as a high school baseball player.

OHMYGOSSIP — Blake Lively has opened up about her close relationship with her mother-in-law.
The 36-year-old actress is married to 47-year-old actor Ryan Reynolds and joked she is only with him to get close to his mother, Tammy Reynolds.
She told OK! magazine: “[Female friendships] are everything to me. From my mom, to my children, my mother-in-law – she’s the best. She made my husband take her to US daytime talk show ‘The View’. And I said, ‘Oh you’re doing The View?’ And he said, ‘No, Mom really wants to go to ‘The View’. I said, ‘You’re gonna sit in the audience of The View?’. And he’s like, ‘Yeah. Mom really wants to go.

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift has praised a trio of Team USA athletes as “different visions of greatness”.
The sports-mad singer, 34, paid tribute to Simone Biles, 27, Sha’Carri Richardson, 24, and 27-year-old Katie Ledecky – all of whom have won medals at this year’s Paris Games – in her narration for a new promotional video for NBC Olympics.
Taylor’s video begins with a shot of a swimming pool as her 2015 hit ‘Style’ starts playing – followed by a shot of Simon and then Sha’Carri and Katie.
The entertainer is heard saying: “Never be afraid to show them who you are, especially when the whole world is watching.
“Because there is no one way to be the best. No one way to inspire everyone else who will someday follow.
“You do what you love. You love what you do. You believe in your style, whatever it is.
“Katie, Sha’Carri and Simone – three American stars. Three different visions of greatness. Tonight, in Paris.”

Simone has picked up gold in the individual vault final – her third of the 2024 Olympic Games and seventh overall.
Sha’Carri brought home the silver for Team USA at the women’s 100-meter final, while Katie won her ninth Olympic gold medal in the women’s 800-meter freestyle.
Taylor’s narration for the new promotional Olympics video comes after her song ‘…Ready for It?’ featured in NBC’s previous promo video for the games on 27 July 27.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sum 41 have axed six dates of their much-anticipated farewell tour after Deryck Whibley injured his back.
The pop-punk group was forced into the cancellations after the frontman, 44, was ordered to rest by his doctor – following the band’s promise to give fans the “best show of their lives” as they announced they were retiring after nearly three decades in the music business.
Canadian music festival The Jubilee announced a gig at the event was cancelled after Deryck suffered a “minor” back injury.
Sum 41 has also pulled headlining spots in other locations across the country, including Quebec City and New Brunswick.
Their fans are pinning hopes on seeing them again as they have 32 dates of their tour left and are expected to returning to the stage in San Francisco in September.
Deryck told GQ in September he had been struggling with health problems and being away from family, with Sum 41 announcing their final tour in June with a post on X.
It said: “Final UK and EU ‘Tour of the Setting Sum’ dates just announced for this fall!
“Our fans overseas have been incredible to us over the years, so we can’t wait to put on the best show of our lives and go out on a high.”
The band had announced in May 2023 they were splitting, telling fans on Instagram: “Being in Sum 41 since 1996 brought us some of the best moments of our lives. We are forever grateful to our fans both old and new, who have supported us in every way.
“It is hard to articulate the love and respect we have for all of you and we wanted you to hear this from us first.
“Sum 41 will be disbanding. We will still be finishing all of our current upcoming tour dates this year, and we’re looking forward to releasing our final album ‘Heaven :x: Hell’, along with a final worldwide headline tour to celebrate.
“For now, we look forward to seeing all of you skum**** on the road and are excited for what the future will bring for each of us.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mamie Laverock has taken her “first steps” since her near-fatal balcony plunge.
The 20-year-old actress, famed for her role as nursing student Rosaleen Sullivan on popular Hallmark show ‘When Calls the Heart’, is lucky to be alive after she plummeted five storeys to the ground in an accident in May her mother branded “negligence” by medical authorities.
Mamie has now been seen in a video uploaded to her Facebook page walking – alongside the caption: “Thank you surgeon’s, thank you prayers, thank you Lord. Mamie has just taken her first steps.”
The clip shows the actress flanked by two medical staff as she sat on a hospital bed wearing casts on each leg while surrounded by her family.
One of the medics tells her they are “here to help” as she said: “I don’t know if I can still…” before placing her hands on a walker wheeled in front of her by the hospital team.
A staff member says: “So what you can do, you can even push off from the bed.”
Mamie is heard saying: “Yeah” before clutching the walker and pulling herself up as medics hold her arms – with the actress’ relatives cheering and clapping as she stands.
She adds: “It does feel really weird. It feels really weird. It feels very wobbly.” When one of the medics asks Mamie if she can separate her feet she says: “Oh my gosh, the ski boots are really hard,” before moving her legs apart.
The medic then asks her to “put all your weight on the right” and a “tiny bit on the left” – prompting Mamie to say: “I’m just going to hold your hand just in case.”
A family member was then heard saying Mamie’s father was watching her FaceTime, with the actress saying: “I feel like I’m going to fall backward.”
While being encourage to use her walker for support, Mamie looks up and asks: “Is Dad on Facetime?” – before calling: “Hi dad… look I’m standing with the walker. All by myself.”
Mamie celebrated her 20th birthday in hospital amid her recovery on 8 July, with a GoFundMe page her family set up to help fund her treatment pulled in July after it reached nearly $40,000.

OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan, Duchess of Sussex has “only scraped the surface” of her suicidal thoughts trauma.
The mother-of-two, who turned 43 on Sunday (04.08.24), made the admission about previously contemplating ending her life while she was a working member of the royal family in a new emotional TV interview alongside her husband Prince Harry – three years after she told Oprah Winfrey she “didn’t want to be alive anymore” before the couple left Britain for a new life in the US.
Her chat was part of a campaign she is launching with Harry, 39, to fight for child safety online.
She told CBS as she discussed the Parents Network initiative with anchor Jane Pauley: “I think when you’ve been through any level of pain or trauma, I believe part of our healing journey, certainly part of mine, is being able to be really open about it.
“And I haven’t really scraped the surface on my experience but I do think that I would never want someone else to feel that way.
“And I would never want someone else to be making those sorts of plans and I would never want someone else to not be believed.
“So, if me voicing what I have overcome, will save someone or encourage someone in their life to really genuinely check in on them and not assume that the appearance is good so everything’s okay, then that’s worth it.
“I’ll take a hit for that.”
Meghan, who has son Archie, five, and daughter Lilibet, three, with Harry, told Oprah, 70, in 2021 she couldn’t be “left alone” and told her husband she “didn’t want to be alive anymore”.
She also claimed Buckingham Palace HR bosses ignored her plea for help because she was not a “paid employee”.
Meghan added to Oprah: “I knew that if I didn’t say it, that I would do it. I just didn’t want to be alive anymore.
“And that was a very clear and real and frightening constant thought. I remember how (Harry) just cradled me.
“I said that I needed to go somewhere to get help. I said that, ‘I’ve never felt this way before, and I need to go somewhere’.
“And I was told that I couldn’t, that it wouldn’t be good for the institution.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Affleck has reportedly splashed out $20 million on a new home in Los Angeles.
The ‘Argo’ star is believed to have closed a deal on a mansion in the affluent area of Pacific Palisades for $20.5 million with TMZ.com reporting Ben’s property features five bedrooms and six bathrooms as well as a media room and guest house with the purchase coming just weeks after he put the house he shared with his wife Jennifer Lopez up for sale.
The new house is much smaller than the mansion in Beverly Hills he bought with Jennifer last year which boasted 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms, a 12-car garage, room for parking 80 cars, a 5,000 square-foot guest penthouse, caretaker house and a two-bedroom guard house as well as a pool and an indoor sports complex.
The couple put the house on the market earlier this month for $68 million just over a year after they bought it back in May 2023.
The news come after Jennifer recently celebrated her 55th birthday in the Hamptons. The singer/actress threw a lavish ‘Bridgerton’-themed fancy dress party on the weekend before her birthday and she then celebrated her big day by going for a meal in East Hampton with her mum Guadalupe Rodríguez, her manager Benny Medina and several friends .
Ben is not believed to have attended the fancy dress party or the birthday meal.
On her birthday, Jennifer shared an emotional message with fans thanking them for all their well wishes. In a post on Instagram, she wrote: “I’ve been seeing all of your birthday wishes, beautiful videos, and posts all last night and this morning from all over the world. I have laughed, smiled, shed some tears, and when I saw the billboard in Times Square, I was completely overwhelmed.

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Mescal’s mother Dearbhla is in remission two years after being diagnosed with bone marrow cancer.
The Hollywood actor’s family was plunged into crisis in 2022 when Dearbhla, 55, was told she was battling multiple myeloma and needed to undergo treatment, but she’s now in remission and doesn’t have to undergo any more gruelling chemotherapy sessions.
Paul’s sister Nell gave an update on Dearbhla’s health in an interview with the Sunday Times newspaper, explaining: “She’s currently in remission but the cancer that she has is never going to be gone, which is something that you have to learn to be OK with. But, for now, she doesn’t have to do any more chemo. You have to feel grateful and I do.”
Dearbhla also gave an update on her condition in a candid post on Instagram, revealing she feels “lucky” and “excited” about the future.
She wrote: “I AM IN REMISSION!!! I am blessed. Yes I will continue to take tablets, have blood tests but I am Dearbhla, just Dearbhla not Dearbhla with Cancer and I am lucky, joyous and feeling very, very excited about where my life will take me and oh the places I will go … ”
She added: “Gratitude does not encompass all I feel for [the doctors and medical staff]. The love of my children, my husband, my family and dearest friends, the audience of you, the prayers of so many, the vibes sent out to the universe carried me through the hard times and lifted me when I truly felt done in. My cup runneth over and my heart will forever hold yours. Thank you … now guys what’s next ???”
‘Normal People’ star Paul previously admitted he had a panic attack on set when he found out his mother had been diagnosed with cancer.
The 28-year-old actor was in the middle of shooting ‘All of Us Strangers’ with Andrew Scott, Claire Foy, and Jamie Bell and he struggled to cope with the news.
Speaking to Esquire UK, he explained: “I think I kind of pushed it under the carpet for a bit when we found out. Then there was a bad old day when we were setting up to do a shot and I had a panic attack, and I haven’t had one of those in f****** years.
“That was probably the biggest one I’ve had, to be honest. It’s embarrassing – not that I think they are embarrassing – but there was just something very public about it.
“I think I was like, ‘I just don’t have the space to feel anything now, and I’m probably feeling it in the work itself’, but then there’s only so much of that that’s healthy. I think my body was like, ‘No. You’ve got to feel something here that’s your own’.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William has given Prince George’s godfather a job.
The Prince of Wales inherited the Duchy of Cornwall Estate following the death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, in September 2022, and he has appointed William Van Cutsem, one of his oldest and closest friends, as an advisor.
Documents for the Duchy’s annual report obtained by the Daily Telegraph newspaper describe the 44-year-old chartered surveyor as having a “keen interest in regenerative farming practices within the family’s home and farming businesses”.
The news of William’s appointment comes shortly after it was revealed the prince has removed Queen Camilla’s sister, Annabel Elliot, from the estate’s payroll.
King Charles – who previously held the Duchy of Cornwall Estate – had appointed his sister-in-law as chief designer of estates following his marriage to Camilla in 2005, paying her several hundred thousand pounds for her services as an interior designer, working across the holiday cottage portfolio in Cornwall, Wales and the Isles of Scilly.
Past accounts showed Annabel had been paid “in the normal course of business and on an arm’s length basis” varying amounts ranging between £19,625 and £82,272 to maintain its rental properties as well as the Duchy offices and its plant nursery, and also reimbursed additional amounts for the purchase of furniture and furnishings.
However, the Estate’s latest accounts – which cover William’s first full year as Duke of Cornwall – showed the interior designer hadn’t been paid for her services during the 2023-2024 period.
But Annabel was recently employed to oversee work on the visitor centre and restaurant at Balmoral, the King’s Scottish residence, ahead of its public opening this summer, and royal sources confirmed she will be involved with the household when “apprioriate opportunities” arrive.
She is also believed to have carried out some work on the Sandringham Estate over the last 18 months.

OHMYGOSSIP — Oprah Winfrey “doesn’t ever” think of herself as old.
The 70-year-old media mogul has seen a change in attitudes from other people since she entered her sixties, but she doesn’t consider her advancing years very often herself.
Speaking with friend Gayle King and Melinda Gates on the philanthropist’s ‘Moments That Makes Us’ podcast, Oprah said: “I never refer to myself as old and I hear lots of people saying that. I don’t even think of myself that way. I was struck by the number 60. I noticed that I would be introduced, even online or in a newspaper, and they would say ’60-year-old Oprah Winfrey’ that people would be like ‘Woah, you’re 60’.
“I noticed the difference in the way that people perceived me at 60… they started calling me ‘Ma’am’ or ‘Auntie’.
“Also I realised that the Auntie thing is very cultural. If you go to other countries where age is respected it’s considered an honour.”
Oprah encouraged people to embrace the changes that come with getting older, while Gayle emphasised the importance of taking risks and thinking positively.
Asked by Melinda for advice they have for women going into their 40s, 50s, and 60s, Gayle, 69, said: ‘You can always do better, you can always be better.
“Even as I sit here today people say, ‘Gayle, I want to be just like you’, I say, ‘You really don’t. You want to be the best you that you can be.’
“I always think transition can be a really good thing. I believe in taking risks — don’t take foolish risks — but I believe in betting on myself and if it doesn’t work out that’s on me and that’s okay.”
Oprah added: “One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that change is there to evolve you. I live in a place that’s surrounded by trees…I watch how things change and evolve and get better and stronger.
“What I know is, if you’re paying attention to your life, that life only gets better because everything that shows up is showing up to expand you, to open you, to help you grow into whatever the next level has there for you.”

The 35-year-old royal – who is the daughter of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York – was ridiculed for her sartorial choices in her 20s, but now respected fashion and lifestyle magazine Tatler have appointed her the most stylish woman of 2024.
Explaining Beatrice’s position at the top of the list, the publication hailed her as the “Princess of Perfection” and wrote: “The master of this fashion feat? Princess Beatrice of York.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ronan Keating’s wife Storm Uechtritz is recovering well after undergoing an operation linked to a previous spinal surgery.
The Boyzone star’s partner went under the knife three years ago to treat an issue with her back and she needed another procedure in May and Ronan has now revealed Storm, 42, was back on her feet just a day after the op.
He told RSVP Live: “Storm is a superstar and a powerhouse. She went through surgery which was related to the spine surgery she had three years ago. It was connected to that.
“She had a six-week recovery. She is incredible. She was walking the next day, which blew my mind.”
Ronan previously worried fans by posting a cryptic message about his wife facing an undisclosed challenge – which turned out to be the operation she needed.
In a post on Instagram, he wrote: “For you my warrior today and every day, My Stormy. A challenge ahead but your strength blows my mind. With you every step. Love you baby.”
Storm previously issued a brief update last month revealing she felt well enough to go out on a date night with her pop star husband. She posted a picture on Instagram showing the couple together at a party and wrote: “Date night with my love @rokeating … Such a good time! It felt so good to be back on my feet and out of the house again … I just wanted to say thank you for all the kind thoughts and well wishes – they meant a lot. I feel very blessed to have so much support around me and am delighted to report that I’m almost completely out the other side.
“Feeling as great as ever and ready to get back to business.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Daley decided to return to the Olympics after his young son begged him to compete.
The 30-year-old diver retired from the sport after winning a gold medal at the 2021 games in Tokyo, but he made a comeback at the event in Paris on Monday (29.07.24) to compete alongside Noah Williams in the Men’s Synchronised 10m Platform where the pair took silver – and Tom has revealed the only reason he got back into diving was because five-year-old Robbie begged him after a visit to the Olympic Museum in Colorado Springs.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Tom – who has Robbie and younger son Phoenix, 16 months, with husband Dustin Lance Black – explained: “I think I always had my mind set on five Olympic games. Phoenix, our youngest son, was born in Colorado Springs which I didn’t know at the time was where the Olympic and Paralympic city and training centre is and the museum.
“And we went to the museum before Phoenix was born and at the end of the museum they had this video on what it means to be an Olympian. I remember the video finishing and of course, I was there crying.
“Lance looked over and thought, ‘Oh, God. I know what this means’. Robbie was like, ‘Papa, I want to see you dive in the Olympics’. And that was that.”
The sports star also revealed Robbie has slready shown signs of following in his footsteps.
He said: “Robbie likes coming to training sessions with me sometimes on a Saturday.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennie Garth managed to salvage her “friendship” with her ex-husband Peter Facinelli.
The 52-year-old actress was married to ‘Twilight’ star Peter, 50, from 2001 until 2013 and has daughters Lucia, 26, Lola, 21 as well as 17-year-old Fiona with him but admitted that before they reunited on her ‘I Choose Me’ podcast earlier this year, they had been “doing it all wrong” with it came to co-parenting in a civil manner.
She told People: “I have people in my life who are going through divorce and struggling so much with it, and I feel like I have wisdom to impart on them now that I have some distance and I’ve gone through all of the emotions post-divorce.
“I just really wanted to provide some, maybe, inspiration to people that are in the dark place of divorce and let them see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel if you choose to see it.

Jennie – who is now married to with Dave Abrams – recently told listeners of her podcast of her joy that her ex-husband had unblocked her on social media and declared that they were “officially friends” more than a decade after they split up.

The ‘Falcoln and the Winter Soldier’ actor is obsessed with the 55-year-old TV chef and if he was allowed his own personal line-up of Avengers, she’d be at the top of his list.
He told People magazine: “This might surprise you. Rachel Ray. I f****** love Rachael Ray. She can cook for everybody. She has her own pots, her own [seasoning] and she’s cute.
“She’s like a little Dora the Explorer type thing, right? So she can hook it up. And I’m in love, hello?

Speaking to Inverse, Anthony recalled: “The first day was so intimidating.
“I was so f***ing nervous I couldn’t remember my lines. He’s Harrison f***ing Ford. There is this aura about him. But he dispels that really quickly because he’s such a cool guy. He’s everything a movie star should be. He would say, ‘Let’s shoot this piece of s***.’ And everybody was like, ‘Yeah, let’s shoot this s***.’
“We spent a good bit of time together.
“Ross and Cap have always had that relationship, where they were friends and they respected each other, but they always bumped heads. That’s their relationship in the storyline.”
