Freddie Prinze Jr insists there is ‘no secret’ behind his long marriage to Sarah Michelle Gellar

OHMYGOSSIP — Freddie Prinze Jr. thinks “dumb luck” is the reason behind his successful marriage to Sarah Michelle Gellar.
The 48-year-old actor tied the knot with his ‘Scooby-Doo’ co-star Sarah, 47, in 2002 and more than two decades into their marriage, admitted that there really is “no secret” to their longevity.
He told E! News: “There really is no secret, man. Maybe it’s just dumb luck. We just found each other at the right time.”
‘The Girl in the Pool’ star – who met Sarah on the set of ‘ I Know What You Did Last Summer in 1997 but did not start a relationship with her for another three years – has Charlotte, 14, and 11-year-old Rocky with his wife and revealed that while his daughter has taken an interest in his career, his son doesn’t care about anything but his own passions.
Asked if his kids have a particular favourite film that he has been in, he said; “My son, he has no interest in anything outside of anime. My daughter, sure. Or at least scenes from everything. That’s how they consume their information. They’re like ‘Dad, I saw a scene come down to you’ and I’m like ‘Why not watch the movie?’ But alright!”
Former ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah previously explained that while her son “doesn’t dare” about a career in film or television, her daughter is keen to follow in her footsteps but won’t allow her to do so until she comes of age.
She told Us Weekly: “My son doesn’t care. That’s not his world. It’s definitely something my daughter and I discuss. It’s an ever-evolving conversation. Obviously, there will be a time when I can’t say no anymore because I’ll be keeping her away from the way her generation communicates. But I also need to wait until she gets to a point where she understands the permanence of what you put out there.”

Dylan Sprouse refused to ‘disrespect’ Suite Life mom Kim Rhodes with a fat joke: ‘It’s not funny…’

OHMYGOSSIP — Dylan Sprouse doesn’t think fat jokes are funny.
The 31-year-old actor starred in ‘The Suite Life of Zack and Cody’ alongside his twin brother Cole for the Disney Channel in the late 2000s and revealed that he once refused to deliver a line that poked fun at Kim Rhodes – who played his on-screen mother – and her weight.
Speaking on SiriusXM’s ‘Andy Cohen Live’, he said: “I don’t know, but I also just don’t really think fat jokes are funny. I think they’re just like, there’s a better joke somewhere else unless you’re talking about yourself, unless it’s self-referential, which I find is fun. But if you’re pointing the finger at people and talking about how they look, I just don’t tend to find that very funny in general.
“I think there’s better jokes, and I mean, you’d be amazed at what having your own show at 11 will do for your confidence.
“I was a huskier young lad who, again, really didn’t come into himself until he was like 18.”
Kim – who is married to Travis Hodges – was pregnant with her daughter Tabitha, now 16, when the hit show was filming its third season, and she previously explained that one of her “favorite memories” is Dylan “skipping over” the joke on set as he refused to “disrespect” his co-star in that way.
Speaking on the ‘Back to Best’ podcast, she said: “I got pregnant when I was on the show, and of course, the show dealt with it by making fat jokes. And one of my favourite memories is Dylan had a line that was a fat joke, and he just kept skipping over it. It was like in the middle of a chunk of dialogue, so he kept skipping this laugh line.
“He goes ‘Cut! Dylan! Say the line!
“[He said] ‘I would not disrespect any woman that way, let alone this woman. You write something funny, and I’ll say it. That’s my little man..”

Lance Bass receives ‘plot twist’ diagnosis with diabetes

OHMYGOSSIP — Lance Bass has encountered a “plot twist” in living with diabetes.
The NSYNC singer previously revealed he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes during the COVID-19 pandemic but he’s now been told he was “misdiagnosed” and actually has Type 1.5 diabetes, otherwise known as latent autoimmune diabetes of adults (LADA).
Speaking of his “plot twist” in a sponsored Instagram Reel promoting a continuous glucose monitor, he said: “As all of you know, I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes a few years back.
“But when I was first diagnosed, I had a difficult time getting my glucose levels under control even though I made adjustments to my diet, medication, and my workout routine.”
“I recently discovered that I was misdiagnosed. I actually have Type 1.5, or latent autoimmune diabetes of adults [LADA].”
LADA is similar to Type 1 diabetes, where the pancreas stops producing insulin, but develops slowly in adults over the age of 30.
The 45-year-old star admitted earlier this year it had been “really hard” to keep his condition under control.
He told People magazine: “I developed diabetes during COVID, and I’m really trying to figure out how to control that. I’m definitely conscious of my eating now.
“I’m learning what you can eat, when you can eat, when you take your insulin – and all that has just been really hard lately.”
Lance – who has two-year-old twins Alexander and Violet with husband Michael Turchin – has prioritised his health since he received his diagnosis.
He shared: “The older I get, the more I know I have to take care of my body. So I work out when I can.
“Exercising is so key right now, but it’s hard for me because of my schedule to get to a gym. So I do have a nice set-up at my house and I get 15 minutes here, 20 minutes there.
“The biggest thing that I’ve learned is to drink tons and tons of water. You think you’re drinking too much water, [but] you need to drink even more than that.”

Sharon Stone explains mystery black eye

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharon Stone smashed her face on a marble floor in her hotel room.
The ‘Basic Instinct’ actress left fans concerned earlier this week when she revealed she had a black eye, and she’s now explained she sustained the injury by falling over in unfamiliar surroundings while trying to find the bathroom.
The 66-year-old star explained in a video update shared to Instagram: “I know you’re all worried about how I got a black eye so I thought I would let you know.
“I’ve been in so many hotels and so many countries, I got up in the middle of the night to pee and didn’t know where I was and smacked my face on the marble.
“No, nobody did anything to me and, yes, I’m just fine and I’m having a great time and I’m being welcomed very beautifully on my trip everywhere that I’ve gone and I’m having just the greatest time.”
Sharon then removed her sunglasses to offer a close-up of the injury.
She added: “It’s getting better, but it really is a good looking shiner.
“You should see what I did to that marble floor. Thanks so much for caring about me, I care about you too. Thank you.”
The ‘Casino’ actress had initially not offered any explanation for her injury when she shared a photo from her vacation earlier in the week.
She simply captioned her post: “This trip has been tough; but I’m tougher.”
Sharon previously revealed doctors only gave her a one per cent chance of survival whens he suffered a stroke in 2001.
She told The Times newspaper of her medical emergency: “I pretty much knew it was serious when I came to on the floor and I couldn’t get up and I kept calling for help and I couldn’t get it. I thought: ‘I’m having a stroke’.
“I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t talk. I couldn’t read. I couldn’t write my own name. I was stuttering. When I reached for something, I had no depth perception. It was complete psychological chaos.”

ASAP Rocky’s music changed thanks to fatherhood

OHMYGOSSIP — A$AP Rocky’s music has become more “meaningful” since he became a father.
The 35-year-old star has sons RZA, two, and 12-month-old Riot with girlfriend Rihanna and his songs have grown more “personal” in recent years, though he’s tried to find a “balance” of offering snapshots of his life with still being entertaining and “telling a story”.
Asked if fatherhood has changed his approach to music, he told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe: “I think sonically, yes, a lot of s***changed.
“My taste preference for music and just different artists and just different genres, but it all has changed, especially the way it influenced the way that I make music and I put out music now and whatnot.
“I think it’s more meaningful. I got more to say. I got more personal vulnerable things to talk about and whatnot, and it’s just, I think the trick is having that fine balance of just entertaining and telling a story or giving something, telling somebody listening and view something informative about you and whatnot.
“And that’s kind of where I’m at now with just being a pop of two and whatnot and just being at the top of my game with just, design and everything, and film, and you name it, man, we’ve been doing it all.”
But the ‘Hijack’ hitmaker admitted his new album ‘Don’t Be Dumb’ wouldn’t sound like him if it wasn’t also “braggadocious”.
He said: “I think for certain with this new music or with this new album, it’s just like there was a mission and a goal to sonically make something that felt elevated, that felt matured, especially coming from me and whatnot and just using different sounds and elements to create a masterpiece.
“That was just really my goal going into it and whatnot though.
“I think the content is just personal to just me, but I’m A$AP m************ Rocky. It’s going to be a little bit of braggadocious s***in there, right. You know what I’m saying? I wouldn’t be me without it.”
Rocky thinks time is going by more quickly now that he’s a father.
He said: “It’s just like, time speeds up when you become a dad, man. It’s crazy. It’s insane. Surreal.”

Uri Geller ‘elated’ to splurge 40k on John Lennon’s glasses

OHMYGOSSIP — Uri Geller is “elated” to have bought John Lennon’s glasses for £40,000.
The 77-year-old illusionist has revealed himself to be the winning bidder from an auction at Farleigh gold club in Surrey on Wednesday (31.07.24) and he’s delighted to have got his hands on the late Beatles’ legend’s blue-tinted round framed spectacles at much less than he was willing to pay.
He told the BBC: “John Lennon and I were very good friends while we were living in New York in the 1970s.
“I knew I had to buy these glasses whatever. I would have gone up to £500,000. Glasses are a passage into our soul, into our psyche.”
The spoon-bending mystic said he had enjoyed an “amazing connection” with the ‘Imagine’ hitmaker before his death in 1980.
He added: “John changed my life as that’s where I learned about spirituality. He believed in UFOs and I believed in UFOs and he was fascinated by my alien collection. He gave me an alien egg.”
Uri plans to display the glasses prominently in the John Lennon section of his museum in Tel Aviv alongside the alien egg.
Catherine Southon Auctioneers, who arranged the sale, explained the singer had given the glasses to their seller, known only as Michael, at Abbey Road Studios in 1968.
Michael and his girlfriend Penny were friends with a number of musicians and had been invited to the Beatles’ recording studio as a birthday treat.
He recounted: “I picked up a pair of glasses from a piano. Penny said: ‘Don’t touch.’
“John Lennon turned around and said, ‘He’s all right. In fact, he can have them. Happy birthday!’
“They are not John Lennon’s prescription glasses, but he gave them to me and wished me happy birthday, so that is good enough for me.”
Michael also took 33 black and white photographs of Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Ringo Starr, the late George Harrison and their late producer George Martin when he visited the studios in 1968 and 1969, and they sold for £2,600.

Frozen star Idina Menzel has learned life lessons from her characters: ‘It’s what I need to hear…’

OHMYGOSSIP — Idina Menzel “gets to learn” life lessons from her characters.
The 53-year-old actress won a Tony Award for her portrayal of Elphaba, the misunderstood green girl, in the smash hit Broadway musical ‘Wicked’ two decades ago and then found further fame when she voiced the role of Elsa in Disney’s megahit ‘Frozen’ and often uses her characters to tell herself what she “needs to hear” at her stage in life.
She told CBS Pittsburgh: “The roles are gifts, honestly. I get to learn from them. They are reminders for me to embrace my power and to love who I am. Yes, they resonate with young audiences and they’re quite the role model but they also remind me as a woman in her 50s what I need to hear sometimes.”
‘Wicked’ serves as a prequel to ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and explains how the Wicked Witch of the West came to be, and Idina admitted that she is “definitely excited” to see the upcoming Hollywood film version, which will star Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba alongside pop star Ariana Grande as Glinda the Good Witch.
She said: “Definitely excited to see it, yeah. They’re bringing all the right energy and emotional connection and understanding to the characters so I’m just excited to reach an even wider audience than it has already.”
The ‘Move’ hitmaker previously admitted that she was looking forward to the upcoming film adaptation of ‘Wicked’ but ultimately felt sad that she was “too old” to return to the role that brought her so much success.
She told Broadway.com: “I’m very excited and I know it’s in great hands and I’ve sent so much love to Cynthia and Ariana and I’m there for them if they need me. And yes, I’m a little sad that I’m just older and can’t play the role, you know? And that’s the honest truth.
“It’s the aging and the proprietorship of the role and what it means to me and how it changed my life. I just love it, and I miss her, I guess, is what I’m trying to say.”

Chrissy Teigen praises ‘kind’ Nick Jonas

OHMYGOSSIP — Chrissy Teigen has praised Nick Jonas for being “so kind” to her son after the youngster was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
The ‘Lip Sync Battle’ star took to Instagram earlier in the week to confirm six-year-old Miles had been found to have the autoimmune disease, which affects insulin production, and one fan suggested she get in touch with the Jonas Brothers singer, who has spoken several times about finding out he has the condition when he was 13.
The fan commented on Chrissy’s post, which included a picture from children’s book ‘Year One with Type One’: “My two brothers have T1, love that book. [heart emoji] @nickjonas does too, your son should go meet bad a** people, and see he’s not alone and can still accomplish anything.
“It’s scary but it becomes second nature and you guys will rock it.”
The 38-year-old beauty – who has Miles, and Luna, eight, Esti, 18 months, and Wren, 13 months, with husband John Legend – replied: “Nick was so kind to him!! We were so lucky to run into him [heart emoji].”
Chrissy confirmed Miles’ diagnosis following comments from her followers after she shared a photo of him and Luna cheering on Team USA last weekend and many noticed the little boy had a glucose monitor on his arm.
She wrote on Instagram: “A lot of you noticed something a little special about a photo I posted a few days ago — Luna, Miles and I celebrating Simone and team USA.
“Miles had his arm up, and soooo many of you reached out to say the most beautiful and incredible words I have ever witnessed on this platform.
“You noticed his type-1 diabetes monitor and extended so much love and encouragement in every way possible. I was, and am, so blown away by the kindness of this community, already.
“I know. Things could be so much worse!! So many parents around the world are going through unfathomable things that I could never imagine.
“I tell myself this every time we get a red alert blasted to our phones. And we are so blessed to have so much help and a wonderful, kind, huge-hearted specialist.”
The model explained the condition was detected by chance after Miles and his friends contracted a sickness bug and required blood tests.
She wrote: “A couple weeks ago, our Miles was sick, in the hospital, with a terrible case of shigella, an intestinal infection caused by bacteria in food or water. A lot of his friends were also sick with it, as they went to the same camp and well, it happens!
“But the doctors knew something else was off about his blood tests. I’ve learned since then that this is how so many young children end up being diagnosed with type-1 — going to the hospital for something completely different.”

Ryan Reynolds defends Jamie Lee Curtis in MCU controversy

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Reynolds has insisted Jamie Lee Curtis didn’t need to apologise for her dig at the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ actress has pledged to “do better” after making the “stupid” quip that the franchise was currently in a “bad” phase when asked by MTV during San Diego Comic-Con, but the ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ actor has defended the Oscar-winning star and suggested people should be able to voice their opinions on the comic book series without fear of reprisal.
He quoted Jamie’s apology on X and wrote: “Wait, is everyone expected to apologize for slamming Marvel post-Endgame?(sic)”
The 65-year-old actress had revealed she has spoken to MCU boss Kevin Feige and pledged not to be part of any “game play”.
She wrote on X: “My comments about Marvel were stupid and I will do better. I’ve reached out to Kevin Feige and will no longer play in that mud slinging sandbox of competition we call the internet nor will I engage in the toilet paper promotion or game play that is designed for clicks not content or conversation. (sic)”
In recent years, the ‘Freaky Friday’ star has complained about the state of the franchise openly on social media.
She previously compared ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ unfavourably to her own movie ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’, for which she won an Oscar.
Jamie wrote on X, formerly Twitter, in 2022: “Is it JUST me? Does it seem STRANGE that our tiny movie that could and did and continues to do ##1movieinamerica and is TRULY MARVELOUS, out marvels any Marvel movie they put out there @everythingeverywheremovie has a Marvel movie coming out with a copycat poster? Is this one of those Internet feuds?(sic)”
She later wrote of her own film: “MARVELOUS! It has a deep BEATING heart and BRILLIANT visual treats, EXTRAORDINARY performances and FANTASTIC BEASTLY FIGHT SCENES…… AND it COST LESS than the ENTIRE craft service budget on Doctor Strange and/or any other Marvel movie. (sic)”

Chris Evans’ life is ‘better’ because of his dog

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Evans’ life is “exponentially better” with his dog.
The 43-year-old actor – who is married to Alba Baptiste – is devoted to his pooch Dodger and his canine companion can always make him feel happy, so he’ll never regret the “profound experience” of taking on a rescue pet.
He gushed to ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “My life is exponentially better with Dodger. He is an incredibly special dog, and I don’t think it’s possible to stay in a bad mood when he’s around.
“[Adopting him] was one of the most profound experiences I’ve ever had. It was incredibly kismet. I knew right away the second I saw him that he was coming home with me. Moving forward, I’ll only rescue dogs. That’s the new approach from now on.”
Although Dodger is now 10 years old, the ‘Ghosted’ actor is delighted the dog hasn’t started slowing down and can continue to join him in an active lifestyle.
He said: “”It’s a lot of love, and a lot of exercise. Dodger leads a very active lifestyle. … He is a big part of the cardio. You know, he loves going on big hikes and rollerblading.
“Even though he’s 10 years old, he hasn’t lost a step! I keep waiting for his battery to start to dwindle a bit, but our hikes are over an hour every day.”
Despite his own buff physique, the ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ star admitted he doesn’t eat particularly healthy when he isn’t working, and Dodger probably has a better diet.
He said: “If the film I’m working on requires a certain level of fitness, then the diet will reflect that, but otherwise, it’s junk food.
“[My diet] is probably not as good as what’s in [pet food] Jinx.”

The 21-year-old star has been vocal about her desire to have three children at the same time and has already decided that she would like to have a daughter named Freddie, along with two boys named Eddy and Teddy, but has now insisted that this will all hopefully come to fruition in the next two years.
She told E! News: “I want to have babies around when I’m 23. Whether that’s babies in the cooker in two years or whether that’s babies actually here on the scene in two years, I’m unsure, but I think definitely two years.

“A little Freddie could be chilling right here, right now.”
The ‘Guilty Pleasure’ hitmaker previously explained that because of her sexuality, she needs to “plan a pregnancy” differently to anyone who is strange and is hoping that she can take three of her own eggs and implant them in three different surrogates so they will arrive around the same date.
Speaking on Cosmopolitan’s ‘If It Were Me’ video series, she said: “Because I’m gay as s***, I have to plan a pregnancy much different than a straight person.
“I actually want to take three eggs, fertilize three eggs, and have three surrogates. So technically, they’ll all be the same batch, but they would all be born separately.
“I’m gonna have my surrogates, my babies. Maybe their birthdays will land on different days, and they can be like triplets, but, like, not.”

Justin Timberlake gets his driving licence suspended

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Timberlake has had his driving licence suspended after a hearing in New York.
The 43-year-old pop star was arrested in Sag Harbor, New York, in June for driving while intoxicated, and Timberlake has now had his licence suspended, after he attended the latest hearing via a video link from Antwerp, Belgium.
Timberlake – who is currently on tour in Europe – pleaded not guilty to a revised misdemeanour charge of driving drunk, according to PEOPLE.
Sag Harbor Village Justice Carl Irace also sent a warning to Edward Burke Jr, Timberlake’s lawyer, accusing him of making “irresponsible” comments about the case.
The judge explained that the comments “come off as an attempt to poison the case before it even begins”.
The judge actually threatened to issue a gag order against Burke Jr if he continued to make similar remarks.
During a previous hearing, Timberlake’s attorney denied the allegation and asked for the case to be dismissed outright, alleging that errors were made by the arresting officer.
Before his arrest, Timberlake enjoyed a a meal with friends in The Hamptons.
A source previously told DailyMail.com: “Justin was out to dinner with friends and there were cop cars stationed outside the restaurant, like there are most nights.
“They look for people who are leaving after midnight who might have been drinking.
“Justin left at 12:30am and was pulled over as soon as he left. Nobody was hurt and there was no drama at the scene.”
Timberlake claimed he had “one martini” after being arrested for driving while intoxicated.
According to documents seen by PEOPLE, Timberlake told the authorities: “I had one martini and I followed my friends home.”
However, in the police report, it was claimed that the pop star drove through a stop sign, and that he failed to “keep on the right side of the roadway”.

Kendall Jenner’s childhood felt ‘normal’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner’s childhood always felt “kind of normal”.
The 28-year-old model made her first appearance on ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ back in 2007, but Kendall feels she was largely sheltered from the spotlight during her younger years.
The brunette beauty – who is older sister of Kylie Jenner – said on Emma Chamberlain’s ‘Anything Goes’ podcast: “We went to school. We went to school as long as we could. I started home school, 11th and 12th grade.
“So even though we had a TV show at home, we were going to regular school all day and had our friends that we had from before the show started. It wasn’t always easy, but it did feel kind of normal.”
Kendall and Kylie, 26, had to do “very adult things at a really young age”. But Kendall now looks back on her childhood with a lot of fondness.
Kendall – who began modelling while she was still a teenager – said: “Overall I am really grateful because I think it could have been a lot worse.
“I think that Kylie and I, the one thing we had was a lot of stability, a lot of love and a really great support system and really great friends. So it felt like we could remove ourselves a lot of the time and be normal.”
Kendall also feels that she’s learned some important life lessons from Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, her older half-siblings.
The runway star reflected: “There’s also an aspect of us being really grateful that we had older siblings that we got to see do things before us and lead us in a way.”

Carrie feels fortunate to be working in the modern era.

Carrie has a jam-packed work schedule. But the country music star always makes time to work out.
She explained: “It really impacts my overall sense of well-being, so I always make it a priority for myself. I really enjoy it, so it’s not hard for me to be motivated. Honestly, exercise and physical activity really is my greatest form of self-care.”
Earlier this week, Carrie was named as Katy Perry’s replacement on ‘American Idol’.
The singer will join Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan on the panel for season 23 of the show.
In an announcement video, Carrie – who won the fourth season of ‘American Idol’ back in 2005 – said: “I went from nobody knowing my name to tens of million of people watching the show.

Bette Midler feels ‘invisible’ at 78

OHMYGOSSIP — Bette Midler feels “invisible” because of her age.
The 78-year-old star has recalled being overwhelmed by fame during her younger years, likening her experience to that of The Beatles – but Bette acknowledges that her life has changed in recent years.
Asked about her early experience of fame, Bette told The Hollywood Reporter: “I cannot say that it was the most thrilling thing that ever happened. It could be pretty scary. And when I watch old footage of The Beatles or Liz Taylor getting crushed, it’s a little bit of a trigger for me, but fortunately, those days are past and I have a whole skill set of passing completely unnoticed.”
Asked how she manages to remain “unnoticed”, Bette replied: “Well, now I’m invisible because I’m old. But in the old days, I had no makeup and very down-market clothes, and I would put a hat on my head or a turban. And nobody wants to know you with a turban on your head.”
Bette’s dad, Fred, hardly ever watched her perform, and the actress believes that his “old school” approach has provided her with a source of motivation.
The Grammy-winning star said: “It was disappointing, but I kind of got it.
“He was very straitlaced. He was very puritanical and was the enforcer in his family, and he hated that role. But if he saw his sister smoking, he’d beat the crap out of her, that kind of thing. Old school.
“But he was what he was. He did the best he could. He provided three square meals. He never struck my mother.
“Love and child-rearing were a different thing in those days. If you didn’t behave, you got the belt. People didn’t talk about their frickin’ feelings every five minutes. They just didn’t.”
