Matt Damon admits it feels ‘weird’ to watch his kids grow up so fast

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Damon finds it “weird” how quickly his children have grown up.
The 53-year-old actor has Isabella, 18, Gia, 15, and Stella, with his wife Luciana Barroso – who also has a daughter from a previous relationship – and as he gathered his brood at the premiere of ‘The Instigators’ in New York on Wednesday (31.08.24) admitted that they had started to grow up “really fast”.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “It happens fast. It’s weird. It happens kind of slowly and then really fast in a beautiful way.”#
The new Apple+ comedy marks the first time that Matt and his wife have worked together, with the Hollywood star and his significant other both working as producers on the upcoming heist.
In the film, Matt stars alongside Casey Affleck as a pair thieves who go on the run after a robbery goes wrong and the ‘Mystic Pizza’ star noted that his wife was enthusiastic about the project from the start but wasn’t ever interested in “taking credit” for her work.
He said: “She’s been reading every script and watching every cut of every movie for 21 years. This is the first time we ever kind of codified it,” Damon explained. “She didn’t even want to take the credit. She was there every day, she was doing all this work on the script, and then she was like, ‘Nah, I don’t want to take the credit.
“The other producers on the movie, at the end of the movie — and I had nothing to do with it — they came of their own volition [and said], ‘If you’re not taking credit, we’re not taking credit. “[It was] very sweet. She succumbed and took the credit.”

Casey Affleck ‘reclaims’ his birthday

OHMYGOSSIP — Casey Affleck is planning to “reclaim” his birthday.
The ‘Instigators’ star – who has Indiana, 20, and 16-year-old Atticus with ex-wife Summer Phoenix – turns 49 on 12 August, just three days before his older brother Ben Affleck tuns 51, and after spending their childhood having shared celebrations, only to let his special day take a back seat once he had his own kids, but now they’re older, he’s ready to take the time for himself.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “We had to [share], all growing up. We got one birthday party between the two of us.”
Asked if that’s a tradition that has continued into adulthood, he added: “Not so much.
“Once we had kids, like, my birthday became not so important, you know? And it was always about them.
“But now that they’re moving out of the house, maybe I should reclaim that… [This year] I’m throwing myself a birthday party!”
Aways from his birthday celebrations, Casey is looking forward to challenging himself more professionally in the years to come.
He said: “I really just want to keep working with people I love and some people I’ve not had a chance to work with, but focus less on trying to climb the ladder, trying to achieve things, and focus more on personal work and my own challenges that I want to work on and work with people I like and have a good time.
“[I’m interested in] seeing if I can dig deeper into being a writer and a director and actor and see what else is out there — before it’s all gone and it’s all AI and TikTok.”
Casey can next be seen opposite his girlfriend Caylee Cowan and friend Matt Damon in ‘The Instigators’ – for which he also co-wrote the screenplay with Chuck Maclean – and he felt really “lucky” to shoot with familiar faces in his hometown of Boston.
He gushed: “I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been doing this for 38 years and had a lot of ups and downs and I worked hard — but still, when I was standing on set, I felt really lucky, you know?
“It’s in my hometown, working with people I love, working with new people I’d admired for a long time, doing what I like to do and making a living.
“So, you know, [I was just] waiting for someone to wake me up.”

Brocarde connects with spirit of Lemmy during seance

OHMYGOSSIP — Brocarde connected with the pizza-holding ghost of Lemmy at Wacken Open Air Festival.
The spooky singer – who famously married and divorced the ghost of a Victorian soldier – was invited by organisers of the world’s largest heavy metal festival to try and communicate with the spirit of the late Motorhead legend, whose ashes were scattered on the site in Germany last year, and she was overcome with emotion when she felt his presence.
Brocarde explained Lemmy came to her as she felt a sadness inside of her, but was bemused to find his spirit riding a black stallions and clutching a slice of pizza.
She said: “His energy is obviously something that hasn’t died, and that’s why he’s still with us today at Wacken.
“There was also something more that Lemmy showed me, something sad, that will no doubt stick with me for a while, but I don’t feel it’s something I want to share for many reasons.
“Lemmy was a star, and an idol to many, but he was a human, and he had a world spinning inside him that few knew about, I noticed that, when I connected with him during the ritual.
“On a lighter note, I wondered why he was holding a slice of pizza, because it’s not the norm when riding a horse.”
Brocarde carried out a seance in front of the festivals’ shrine for the late rock star in the Landgasthof Wacken, with the ritual seeing her surrounded by Lemmy’s personal possessions and sacred objects including a deer skull, dragon blood sage and a crow’s wing, in front of an alter bearing an Ace of Spades playing card and a bottle of Jack Daniel’s.
But at first, the singer’s usual methods didn’t work.
She said: “I knew I had to come to Wacken to participate in something that had a greater purpose, I was nervous to try to connect with the spirit of Lemmy as he is treasured by many, and I didn’t know how I would deal with it if he had a message for me. I worried about how that could be perceived, I felt the only way to deal with what was revealed to me, is to have a don’t care about what people think attitude, inspired by Lemmy himself.
“I tried to reach him using drowsing rods, but he didn’t want to play by those rules, that was totally Lemmy, and the first time my rods have failed to show any movement at all during a séance.”
Eventually, Brocarde was “completely consumed” with the spirit of the late rocker – who died in December 2015 aged 70 – and received a message from him.
She continued: “Then, I felt my body completely consumed, like I was taken somewhere else, tears were welling in my eyes, he told me that he was still alive. He said the purpose of life is not to die, and he wanted to be alive in death. I felt like those words will be a comfort to many who want to keep his memory alive.”

Jamie Lee Curtis makes brutal dig at MCU

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Lee Curtis has made a brutal dig at the Marvel Cinematic Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The Oscar-winning actress is unimpressed by the comic book movie franchise – which will kick off Phase 6 with the release of ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ – and had a dismissive reply when asked about the film series.
Asked at San Diego Comic-Con if she knows what phase the MCU is currently in, she told MTV: “Bad.”
Her ‘Borderlands’ co-star James McAvoy laughed: “Hey Marvel, she just terminated you.”
But the ‘Halloween’ actress wasn’t the only star who hadn’t grasped the current status of the franchise.
Ema Hovarth guessed: “A transitional phase”.
And Mackenzie Davis replied: “Death.”
But both James and ‘Dexter: Original Sin’ star Christian Slater knew the right answer.
This isn’t the first time Jamie has taken a swipe at Marvel, having previously compared ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ unfavourably to her own movie ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’.
She wrote on X, formerly Twitter, in 2022: “Is it JUST me? Does it seem STRANGE that our tiny movie that could and did and continues to do ##1movieinamerica and is TRULY MARVELOUS, out marvels any Marvel movie they put out there @everythingeverywheremovie has a Marvel movie coming out with a copycat poster? Is this one of those Internet feuds?(sic)”
She later wrote of her own film: “MARVELOUS! It has a deep BEATING heart and BRILLIANT visual treats, EXTRAORDINARY performances and FANTASTIC BEASTLY FIGHT SCENES…… AND it COST LESS than the ENTIRE craft service budget on Doctor Strange and/or any other Marvel movie.
““COMPETITIVE? F*** YES. I wasn’t head cheerleader in high school for nothing. And P.S. our movie has a dynamite dildo fight scene as well as a very erotic hotdog hand mating dance and rocks.(sic)”

Jamie Oliver recalls cooking for Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Oliver “was Brad Pitt’s 40th birthday present” from Jennifer Aniston.
The 49-year-old chef was hired by the former ‘Friends’ actress to cook for her then-husband’s milestone birthday in 2003, but he admitted he almost missed out on the prestigious job because he “didn’t believe” it was really the ‘Morning Show’ star calling to speak to him.
Speaking on Australian radio show ‘Fitzy + Wippa with Kate Ritchie’, he said: “I actually was Brad Pitt’s 40th birthday present from Jen.
“She phoned up, and we put the phone down on her three times because we didn’t believe it was her. We thought it was someone trying it on.
“So she had to go through her agent to my agent, but I didn’t really have an agent, so it took a bit of a while. But basically, we got flown. I just did it.”
Jennifer told Jamie she was a big fan of his TV shows and he agreed to cook their dinner for free.
He said: “She said, ‘Would you cook for Brad? He’s well into The Naked Chef and all that business, like he watches it on TV and all that.’ I said, ‘Absolutely, and I’ll do it for love, because I love you guys.’
“I don’t purposefully cook for celebrities though, [I] only do it if I’m working in the restaurant and they’re in, or if I’m asked by someone I love or admire which was the case with Jen and Brad.”
The culinary expert has stayed in touch with both Jennifer and Brad since the celebratory meal.
He said: “It was Brad’s 40th, so I’ve known him for 20 years now. They’re both beautiful people. I saw Jen a couple of weeks ago, and she’s everything you would want her to be, and more.”
Jamie’s wife Jools Oliver previously spoke about the dinner and how awkward she felt next to Jennifer and her friend Courteney Cox.
Referring to the two actresses by the names of their ‘Friends’ characters, she told Red magazine: “Jamie was doing the dinner, so I had to sit and socialise with Brad and Rachel and Monica.
“I was so embarrassed, I didn’t know what to say. Brad had just done ‘Troy’ and was taking his top off to show me his abs.
“From that moment on I just kind of took a step back from it all, it was all too much.”

Tom Daley finds it ‘weird’ that he has been famous so long: ‘People know more about me than I do’

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Daley finds it “very weird” that he has been in the public eye for so long.
The 30-year-old diver – who is married to Hollywood director Dustin Lance Black, 50, and has Robbie, six, as well as 17-month-old Phoenix with him – shot to fame when he competed in the 2008 Olympic Games at the age of 14 and feels “lucky” that everything since then has been documented, especially since it was his eldest who inspired him to take part in the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he eventually won Silver.
Speaking on UK TV show ‘This Morning’, he said: “It does feel very weird to have my whole life documented in that way but at the same time I feel lucky to have that moment for my kids one day to look back and see all the things that I did and all the things they inspired me to do.
“If it wasn’t for Robbie, I wouldn’t have come back for these Olympic Games and I’m very glad that I did having come away with another medal.
“It’s also very special whenever I bump into people in the street and they’re asking questions about my diving. I swear people know more about my life than I do myself and where I’m gonna be! But it’s been great to come back and be a part of Team GB again.”
But Tom – who achieved Bronze at London 2012 and then again Rio 2016 before winning Gold in Tokyo 2020 – also noted that it has been a lot of work to balance fatherhood with his career comeback
He said: “It is so incredibly tough and any parents who are both working will be able to confirm this. It is really hard to be able to have two working parents and have lots of time with your kids.
“My husband has been so incredibly supportive and originally, I thought it was done after Tokyo and then two years later I said I wanted to go back. He has been incredible in really putting his career to the side for me to able to have the time to compete and train.
“It’s gonna be my turn for a little bit now! I owe it to him and with athletes, you don’t realise how many people behind you are supporting you and are there for you to be able to achieve your dreams.
“They really are the unsung heroes behind the Olympians, the family members who are there to support you and give you everything that you need to be able to perform at your best.”

She told People: “Digestive health is an important yet often taboo topic. “While the book is funny and light-hearted, it has a message about self-acceptance. a read about farts that aims to make readers smile, feel more informed and be less embarrassed about their bodies.”
On Thursday (01.08.24), the ‘Ghost’ star posted a video of herself reading from the book onto Instagram where she asks “What’s the big stink about?” urged her followers to remember that there is “no shame” in passing wind as she reminded them that “we all do it.”
Wonderbelly founder Noah Kraft said: “It’s still the same brands that were around for generations and nobody’s been challenging these companies to meet the values of a younger generation that is experiencing these issues.
“This book for us is a way to further a mission that we have of de-stigmatization and helping people get closer to accepting normal bodily functions.
“We have this big mission around de-stigmatizing issues like eating disorders all the way to farting. There are things that we should be a little bit more comfortable talking about.”

When asked if the tour’s title meant she was considering retirement, she told this week’s edition of UsWeekly: “No. That should never have been the title of that tour. What it meant was it’s the last time that I am going to be on the road as much. Everybody kept saying, ‘You’re not retiring, are you?’ Not yet.

We talked for quite a while. I met with quite a few of them and just let them know, “Not only are you gonna grow up but your ears are too, and eventually your children’s ears are gonna hear this.
“Is that really what you them to listen to? They heard me and decided, ‘I guess I should give it some thought here before I say a terrible word. Maybe there’s another word I can use.’
“And I told them, “Just stop and think before you speak.” And that’s what happened. They calmed down so very much after I had those meetings with them so they began to realize maybe she knows what she’s talking about.”

The Boys star Claudia Doumit speaks out on the pressure she felt to get a nose job

Speaking on a panel at San Diego Comic-Don, she said: “It’s a beautiful half-Lebanese, half-Italian nose. It’s very strong. Ever since I was a young age, I thought to myself, ‘When I book my first job, I’m gonna get a nose job. I’m gonna get paid for that and then I’m gonna get a nose job.
[The pressure] was fed to me for many, many years.”
But in reality, when ‘Timeless’ star did manage to make it in the industry, she decided against having work done and after she had been working for a little while that her natural state was having no impact on her success.

But I didn’t get a nose job and then booked the next job, and thought ‘I’ll get it now.’ And then I didn’t get a nose job. And then I kept booking jobs and not getting nose jobs. And I kind of realized one day that I was booking jobs with the way that I looked, and I thought, ‘Oh, I don’t need a nose job because I’m booking jobs.’”
She added: “I’m doing the thing I love and I’m doing it the way that I look. And it’s not what the traditional narrative is. It’s not what a lot of people might think beauty is. But I think it’s beautiful and I think I wanna see more big noses on women on the screen. So, go, baby!”

The award-winning star has returned to ‘American Idol’ multiple times over the years, including when she appeared as a mentor during season 16 of the show.
Katy, 39, announced her exit from ‘American Idol’ earlier this year.
The pop star revealed that she planned to quit the show in order to focus on other projects, including her new album.
Katy said on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’: “I think this probably will be my last show, my last season for ‘Idol’.

Kendall Jenner: Modelling can be a lonely experience

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner thinks modelling can be a “very lonely” existence.
The 28-year-old star is one of the world’s best-known and best-paid models – but Kendall insists that her career has been more challenging than some people might imagine.
The brunette beauty said on Emma Chamberlain’s ‘Anything Goes’ podcast: “I’m not gonna sit here and say that I’ve had the toughest journey. I think I’ve been extremely fortunate.
“But I also have had my own set of challenges, whether it’s [being] overworked or not getting a job that I would’ve really loved to get.”
Kendall actually confessed to “crying [herself] to sleep” at night amid her struggles.
The reality star shared: “It is very lonely.
“I’ve had really dark nights where I’ve been in random cities and just hysterically crying myself to sleep because I haven’t been home in three months and I’ve been pretty much alone the entire time.”
Despite her fame and success, Kendall has repeatedly questioned whether the sacrifices she’s made have really been worthwhile.
She said: “There’s been a lot of definite moments where I’m like, ‘What is going on, is this all worth it?'”
Meanwhile, Kendall previously admitted that she’s been dealing with anxiety issues since she was a child.
But the runway star recently claimed that she now feels more “stable” and “hopeful” than in her career.
Kendall – who launched her own drinks brand, 818 Tequila, in 2021 – explained to Vogue magazine: “I don’t see why I shouldn’t be honest about it.
“In my career right now I feel really stable, really hopeful. But I’ve had a tough two months. I haven’t been myself, and my friends see it. I’m more sad than usual. I’m way more anxious than usual.”

Don’t take social media so seriously, says 50 Cent

OHMYGOSSIP — 50 Cent doesn’t allow social media criticism to affect him.
The chart-topping star controls his own social media accounts, but he doesn’t take platforms like Instagram and X “so seriously”.
The 49-year-old rapper – who has millions of followers on both platforms – told The Hollywood Reporter: “I try to not take things so seriously.
“On social media, in general, you’ll see the worst things that you could see about yourself when you’re a celebrity. You’ll see things that will adjust your emotional state if you’re not prepared for it. And I’m so accustomed to it that I’ll go, ‘OK.'”
50 feels confident in himself and what he’s achieved during his career.
As a result, the award-winning star doesn’t worry too much about what strangers think of him and his career.
The New York-born rap star – whose real name is Curtis Jackson – explained: “As a metaphor, a person across the street looks at you and because they see the clothes you got on they assume, right? ‘He thinks he’s smarter than all of us.’ If they assume that and they don’t know you, are you the kind of person that would go across the street? Because that would require energy for you to cross the street.
“For me, the position that I’m in makes me look across the street and if I identify it as something negative or uncomfortable, then I don’t go across the street to explain myself. I simply say, ‘F*** you,’ from across the street, and I keep going. And I only do this because if it doesn’t affect me emotionally, then it doesn’t slow me down from my journey.”

Halsey ‘shared everything with Britney Spears before releasing Lucky’

OHMYGOSSIP — Halsey “shared everything” with Britney Spears before releasing her new single ‘Lucky’.
The 42-year-old pop icon recently deleted a social media post slamming Halsey’s ‘Lucky’ music video – which pays homage to Britney’s 2000 single of the same name – but the 29-year-old singer has now rubbished the idea that she kept Britney in the dark about her plans.
Speaking to BBC Radio 1, Halsey shared: “I shared everything with her every step of the way, down from like the first demo of the song. And I sent her like a shot for shot treatment of the music video, just because I wanted to make sure I was totally nailing it.”
Halsey also revealed that she’s recently been in touch with Britney.
She said: “It’s def a pinch-me thing. I didn’t even know she knew who I was kinda, and so every day I’m kinda just looking around like, ‘There’s a six-year-old girl in my heart that’s freaking out.'”
Last week, a post on Britney’s X account criticised the ‘Lucky’ music video.
The post read: “For obvious reasons I’m very upset about the Halsey video. I feel harassed, violated and bullied. I didn’t know an artist like her and someone I looked up to and admired would illustrate me in such an ignorant way by tailoring me as a superficial pop star with no heart or concern at all. I have my own health problems which is why I took down my IG account yesterday. I will definitely be putting it back up now to show I CARE. I’m speaking with my lawyers today to see what can be done on this matter. It feels illegal and down right cruel. (sic)”
However, Britney subsequently denied writing the message.
She wrote on X: “Fake news !!! That was not me on my phone !!! I love Halsey and that’s why I deleted it !!! (sic)”
