Nick Cannon jokes about rekindling romance with Mariah Carey

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Cannon feels he belongs with Mariah Carey.
The 43-year-old star was married to Mariah between 2008 and 2016, and Nick has now joked that they “belong together”.
Asked if he would get back with Mariah, Nick told E! News: “We belong together.
“Yes, absolutely. Be stupid if I wouldn’t.”
Despite this, Nick acknowledged that there’s no chance of it actually happening.
The comedian – who has 13-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with his ex-wife – said: “She don’t want me.”
Nick has 12 children with six different women in total, and he’s now claimed that they get along “amazing”.
The actor added: “That’s the thing, I don’t expect them to.
“I think that’s the thing that people might always think that it would be that. But it’s like everybody lives their own life, before me and after me.
“So I think that’s how you keep the peace and everybody moving, like everybody worried about themselves and not worried about what someone else is. As long as the kids are happy and they have the strongest understanding, I think that’s what makes sense. You gotta operate out of that.”
Meanwhile, Mariah previously revealed that her kids have “inherited” her musical talent.
The blonde beauty suggested that her children could follow in her footsteps one day.
Mariah – who is one of the best-selling artists of all time – told E! News: “Rocky is a technical genius. He could do anything he wanted, and I will support him.
“He and Roe are both such creative geniuses! Honestly their tone when they sing is so beautiful, and I’m so thankful that they inherited that from me.”
Mariah, 55, loves her kids “to tears” and she can’t wait to see what they become in the future.
The ‘We Belong Together’ hitmaker said: “I can’t wait to see what and who they grow up to be!”

Sabrina Carpenter hails ‘best friend’ Taylor Swift

OHMYGOSSIP — Sabrina Carpenter considers Taylor Swift to be one of her “best, best friends”.
The 25-year-old pop star opened for Taylor on her Eras Tour earlier this year, and Sabrina has developed a close bond with the Grammy-winning star.
The blonde beauty told Variety: “Taylor is a rock star! She’s just such a gangster with all of it.
“No matter what people are saying, everything that I’ve ever seen her tackle, she’s done so with grace.
“The posts about me having to ‘ask for her permission’ – no. She’s one of my best, best friends, and we grab dinner or text and catch up like you would with your best friend.”
Sabrina loves being able to lean on Taylor, 34, for some advice.
She said: “It’s so cool for me to get a perspective on this whole process from her and the community of artists that I feel I’m close to – to get advice from them on stuff that you can’t just ask the internet.
“We’re always playing each other our [music], and whenever I start to think, ‘Maybe I’ll get on Twitter and say something about this,’ I’m always like, ‘Maybe I’ll write a song instead.'”
Sabrina has enjoyed huge chart success with ‘Espresso’, the single that she released in April.
However, the “powers above” weren’t keen on the idea of releasing the song as a single.
Sabrina explained: “I was completely alone in wanting to release ‘Espresso’. Not so much from my immediate team. But when it came to ‘the powers above’ there was a lot of questioning behind whether it made sense.
“But they trusted me in the end, and I was happy that I believed in myself at that moment.”

Motherhood has been a freeing experience, says Hunter McGrady

OHMYGOSSIP — Hunter McGrady has found motherhood to be a “freeing” experience.
The 31-year-old model – who has Hudson, three, and Ava, 16 months, with her husband Brian Key – has adopted a more care-free approach to life since becoming a mom.
The blonde beauty told Fox News Digital: “I’m not going to lie. (After giving birth), I didn’t feel very sexy at first.
“But as I got to know myself and this new body that motherhood gave me, I began to stop looking at the way my body looks so much aesthetically.
“I see my body for what it has done for me and how it has gotten me here with my two beautiful children.
“There’s such a misconception that once you become a mom, that’s it. Call it a day, no more career, you can’t feel sexy. That’s all wrong. It’s quite the opposite.
“The world becomes exciting again because you get to live it through that childlike wonder again. It’s a freeing feeling. I also stopped caring, quite literally, about what anyone thinks about me. I do whatever I want.”
Hunter’s dad, actor Michael McGrady, has helped the model to deal with her “haters”.
Hunter – who has previously featured on the cover of the Sports illustrated Swimsuit issue – explained: “He’s always told me, ‘You’re going to get both sides. No one comes out of this industry unscathed’. I knew that from a very young age. I was prepared for that. I’m still prepared for that. I’ve been able to armour myself.
“I will say online bullying is something that is still very prevalent and still needs to be talked about because there are no real ramifications for it. You can just get behind a keyboard and say the first thing that comes to mind.”

Luke Bryan jokes about Carrie Underwood’s American Idol return

OHMYGOSSIP — Luke Bryan has joked that Carrie Underwood will need to “up her therapist” after joining ‘American Idol’.
The 41-year-old singer has replaced Katy Perry on the show’s judging panel, but Luke – her new co-star – has warned Carrie that she’ll face some fierce competition from himself and Lionel Richie.
Asked what advice he has for Carrie, the 48-year-old star said in a TikTok video: “Up her therapist. If she has a therapist, she’s probably going to have to double to deal with me and Lionel.”
Luke subsequently joked that he was happy to assist his new co-star.
Luke quipped: “Do therapists do gift cards where I can call her therapist and gift her a voucher?”
Carrie won the fourth season of ‘American Idol’ back in 2005, and the singer recently revealed that she’s looking forward to making her return as a judge.
In an announcement video, Carrie said: “I went from nobody knowing my name to tens of million of people watching the show.
“I’m proud of everything that I was able to accomplish on the show and I’m so proud of everything I’ve accomplished since.”
Meanwhile, a source recently suggested that Carrie “couldn’t say no” to ‘American Idol’.
The award-winning star feels like she owed a debt of gratitude to the show, after first finding fame on the platform.
A source told DailyMail.com: “They have asked Carrie in the past to be a judge and either timing, money or other commitments have got in the way to make it a reality.
“She has been asked to coach on ‘The Voice’ as well, but it just never seemed right.
“Even with the opening she has to speak to the same people at NBC by working with ‘Sunday Night Football’, she has always felt that she needed to be loyal to ‘American Idol’.
“She has always monitored the show that started her career, and now she couldn’t say no.”

The 45-year-old singer – who has Nevis, 20, with her ex-partner Jasper Gahunia – has revealed the role her daughter played in creating her upcoming new album, ‘7’.

“There’s nothing better than having that creative connection with your child and being able to work on something special together.”
Nevis has actually been given a credit on Nelly’s new album.
The singer said: “It’s been a journey – one we’ve taken together.
“Just like working on it together and growing in the process. Me rediscovering my passion for music in the studio and her kind of discovering her own passion for it.”
Nelly has already enjoyed huge chart success during her music career. But Nelly believes that her new record could be her best to date.
She said: “I’ve never really worked harder on something before.
“I worked several years to make my first album, but then this one, I put so much energy into it. It was like a real party from start to finish. Just long hours, lots of songs to choose from. Just an abundance of creativity and whittling it down to this distilled like really fun package of songs.”
Despite this, Nelly believes that fans will experience a range of emotions when they listen to the new album.
The ‘I’m Like a Bird’ hitmaker shared: “They’re quite emotional too, though. They’ve got that mix.
“My music always has a bit of melancholy mixed with some fun.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Janet Jackson is set to begin her Las Vegas residency within months.
The 58-year-old singer has agreed to perform a series of concerts at Resorts World Las Vegas, starting around the holiday season, and Janet believes it’s the “perfect setting for this new chapter”.

“This partnership offers a unique opportunity to celebrate her legacy and deliver unforgettable performances.
“The energy and excitement of Las Vegas, especially around the holiday season, make it the perfect setting for this new chapter.
“Janet is excited to connect with her fans and bring her iconic music to life in a fresh and dynamic way.”
Meanwhile, Janet recently opened up about her musical inspirations, including her famous family.
The chart-topping star – who is the tenth and youngest child of the Jackson family – said on ‘Heart Evenings with Dev Griffin’: “I have to exclude family because obviously that spoke to me first, seeing my brothers, my sisters, my cousin Stevie [Wonder] – seeing him perform was a huge inspiration …
“My brothers would often take me with them when they would go to concerts, and I remember seeing Earth, Wind and Fire as a kid – just unforgettable.
“I’ll never forget that. Really blew me away, the musicianship, and then the body of work. I absolutely loved it.”
Janet also revealed how Prince has influenced her music career.
She shared: “I remember seeing Prince when I was in my early, early, early, early 20s.
“He did some songs that I wasn’t that familiar with and didn’t do songs that I was familiar with, and I thought, ‘If I ever perform on this level, I don’t want to do that. I want to at least do songs that people are familiar with, for sure’.”

Jenna Ortega won’t speak about her love life

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenna Ortega doesn’t “plan on speaking about [her] love life publicly”.
The 21-year-old actress – who is currently single – has revealed that she considers her love life to be a private matter.
Speaking to Vanity Fair magazine, the brunette beauty explained: “I don’t plan on speaking about my love life publicly, because that’s mine. When you know too much about someone’s personal life, then you watch films and you can only see them …There’s nothing worse.”
Despite this, Jenna acknowledged that there’s currently nothing to hide.
The actress – who enjoyed a meteoric rise following the success of ‘Wednesday’ – said: “I live on soundstages, pretty much, so it’s so rare that I’m out seeing the sun.”
Meanwhile, Jenna previously revealed that she can see similarities between her real-life self and her ‘Wednesday’ character.
The actress plays Wednesday Addams in the Netflix series, and Jenna admitted to having a similar sense of humour to her on-screen character.
She told PEOPLE: “People have been telling me I look like her since I was six years old. And I have a pretty dark sense of humour!”
Despite this, Jenna needed to make some adjustments in order to play Wednesday.
She said: “I had to do things a bit different with my physicality and the way I carried myself.
“She almost has a social awkwardness. So when she does toxic, manipulative things, you know it’s not coming out of malicious intent.”
Jenna also heaped praise on co-star Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday in the ‘Addams Family’ movies in the early 90s.
She explained: “It was really intimidating because I have so much respect for her as an actress, and being dressed up how she was 30 years ago, it was a little awkward.
“But I felt safe with her on set almost immediately. She was really sweet about it, and such a generous actress.”

Meryl Streep is an inspiration, says Selena Gomez

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez feels inspired by Meryl Streep.
The 32-year-old actress starred alongside Meryl, 75, during season three of ‘Only Murders in the Building’, and Selena has admitted to being in awe of her co-star during her first day on set.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Selena shared: “She was so excited, and when she came on set, she told everybody that she loves the show, and I don’t even think I spoke the first day she was around, I was just admiring her.
“She’s an inspiration, and she’s someone who is incredibly talented while being very humble, and professional and kind. I’ve learned so much from her just by her being Meryl.”
Selena actually recalled being brought to tears by one scene in particular.
The brunette beauty – who plays Mabel Mora on the show – explained: “My favourite moment was watching Meryl sing onstage. That was chilling, and she would do it acappella, live every time, and I cried.
“I wasn’t in the scene, but I was there sitting in the audience, and I was completely moved and was brought to tears. Just the way she commits to her craft in every way is remarkable. It was beautiful.”
‘Only Murders in the Building’ has proven to be a huge hit with viewers, and Selena has revealed what fans can expect from season four of the show.
She shared: “I think this is our most exciting season yet. That’s what I would definitely say with confidence, because it was far too fun.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens ‘always talk about kids’ and wanting a family together

OHMYGOSSIP — Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens “definitely” want to start a family together.
The 27-year-old gymnast and nine-time Olympic medallist – who has already won gold with her USA teammates and individually with the all-around gymnastics title at the Paris Olympics – admitted while she and her NFL star husband “always talk about kids”, they both have their own goals to focus on before settling down in that way.
She told ‘Today’ host Hoda Kotb: “Yes, me and Jonathan always talk about kids, and he would have had them yesterday if he could have.
“Obviously we both have goals that we want to achieve before we start a family. But, yes, that’s definitely in our future.”
Simone – who won gold in the all-around, vault, floor and team events as well as picking up bronze on balance beam at the Rio Olympics in 2016 before withdrawing from several events at the Tokyo 2020 games – also reflected on her legacy, and how she is focused on a passion for gymnastics and authenticity.
Asked how she would like to be remembered within the sport, she replied: “Someone who loved the sport, had fun doing it and just was authentically herself.”
Jonathan, 28, sparked controversy in December 2023 when he admitted he didn’t know who Simone was when they first met on celebrity dating app Raya in 2020.
Speaking on ‘The Pivot’ podcast at the time, Jonathan was asked if he considered himself “the catch” in their marriage, and replied: “I always say that the men are the catch.”
Last month, he addressed the backlash and admitted as well as ignoring social media, he also tries not to respond to trolls.
He told Us Weekly magazine: “I don’t mean to cuss, but like, damned if you do, damned if you don’t. If you say something, they’re going to say something; if you don’t say something, they’re going to say something.
“So, just live your life. People are going to talk about you anyway, so you might as well do it the way you want to.”
Simone has defended her man from the backlash, and admitted she “rolled her eyes and laughed” when she was “in the room” for the viral moment.
She told the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast earlier this year: “He never said I wasn’t a catch. He said he was a catch… He praises the ground that I walk on. Truly, I’ve never met a man like him.”

Keke Palmer’s mother on ‘cultish’ Nickelodeon experience

OHMYGOSSIP — Keke Palmer’s mother has described old Nickelodeon sets as “very weird” and “cultish”.
The ‘Nope’ star, now 30, worked as a child star on shows like ‘True Jackson, VP’ – in which she appeared in the title role from 2008 to 2011 – early in her career, and while executive Dan Schneider wasn’t involved in that programme, Keke’s mother Sharon was still uncomfortable.
On her ‘Baby, This Is Keke Palmer’ podcast, she and Sharon reflected on the ‘Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV’ docu-series, as well s allegations of misconduct made against Schneider.
Keke recalled: “I honestly do remember you having a lot to say about the Dan Schneider sets…
“I remember you feeling a way about Nickelodeon… I want to hear what you have to say.”
Sharon replied: “My honest opinion is I thought the whole atmosphere of the Dan Schneider set was very weird, very cultish.”
She described other parents as “very secretive”, admitting she “thought they all took themselves way too seriously” while obsessing over their children’s careers on Nickelodeon.
She added: “The whole conversation was: ‘Oh my God! What’s happening next? Did you hear they’re going to cancel this show? What’s coming next?’ ”
However, she explained: “My mentality about the entertainment business wasn’t that Disney Channel or Nickelodeon was the end all to be all, but a lot of the parents did.”
The Discovery+ documentary featured a number of former child stars from the network who alleged instances of abuse and a toxic working environment at the hands of producer Schneider.
In the film, former ‘Drake and Josh’ star Drake Bell revealed that he had been subjected to “extensive and brutal” abuse at the hands of Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck while others claimed that ‘iCarly’ producer Dan had created a “hostile environment” as he made the likes of Amanda Bynes and Miranda Cosgrove into teen stars.
Sharon admitted she “could see how [Bell’s] parents got trapped” by Peck, while Keke said: “In my experiences with you in this industry, I had moments where people tried to push us away from each other or try to come in between us.”
Her mother “never would allow that kind of thing to go down”, and Keke noted it “created tension” at times when she “felt “almost like I was in a prison”.
In May, Schneider filed a lawsuit against Warner Bros Discovery over the docuseries.
In legal documents, his team said: “While it is indisputable that two bona fide child sexual abusers worked on Nickelodeon shows, it is likewise indisputable that Schneider had no knowledge of their abuse, was not complicit in the abuse, condemned the abuse once it was discovered and, critically, was not a child sexual abuser himself.”
In a previous statement to Deadline, Schneider’s representative said: “Dan expected and asked a lot from his teams. They worked long hours and consistently made successful shows.
“In the challenges of production, Dan could get frustrated at times, and he understands why some employees found that intimidating or stressful.
“In a career spanning 30+ years, Dan worked with thousands of people, many of whom still tell him how much they enjoyed and appreciated working on his shows.
“But he also knows some people did not have a positive experience, and he is truly sorry for that.”

Patti’s manager, Kyle Fritz, told Variety: “Patti was my first client when I began over 30 years ago. We enjoyed every day we got to work together, and I will miss her spirit talent and tenacity but most of all her friendship.”
Patti got her big break in Hollywood with a role in Ron Howard’s 1986 comedy ‘Gung Go’ and reprised the role for ABC’s television adaptation, but was best known for playing Alyssa in ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’, joining as a recurring guest star in its fourth season in 1990 and continuing to appear until the seventh and final season in 1994. Ashley Park hails ‘miracle’ recovery

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Park thinks it is a “miracle” she’s still alive.
The 33-year-old star – who battled leukaemia when she was 15 – was hospitalised with critical septic shock in January and despite her “fluke” health battles, the ‘Emily in Paris’ actress feels “lucky”.
Noting how using humour “makes it easier” to talk about her problems, she told the new issue of America’s Cosmopolitan magazine: “As an adult, I understand what coping mechanisms are. Stuff I didn’t know when I was a teenager.
“And even though both of the extreme illnesses I’ve had have been such flukes in a way — no one who’s 15 should have cancer, and no one who’s my age should have septic shock — I feel lucky, actually. It’s been kind of a miracle how I’ve recovered.”
Ashley was on vacation with her boyfriend and co-star Paul Forman when she fell ill this year and she doesn’t “think[she] would have made it” without his support in unfamiliar surroundings.
She said: “When I went to the ER and ICU for the first time, I was in the Maldives with Paul. I don’t think I would’ve made it without him. Everybody else was on the other side of the world from us.
“Once I got there, I got really sick with tonsillitis. Then everything really started going wrong.
“I was in different ICUs and then air ambulances for a month. I couldn’t leave because I wasn’t allowed to fly.
“When I finally could, it was a shorter distance to Paris than to LA, so I had to go straight to Paris to recover, not home.
“When I woke up in the hospital and they said, ‘You have septic shock.’ I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I am shocked I have sepsis!’ ”
Ashley’s hospitalisation was a wake-up call for her and she’s pledged to take better care of herself in the future.
She admitted: “I pushed myself too far. I was not listening to my body.
“Now, I’m thinking about my future and asking, ‘Am I putting myself in a position where I’m going to be able to do my best?’ That starts with my health.
“I’m getting back to my old self. I look and feel better, and I’m trying to stay as stable as I can and keep the same energy that people expect.”

Kate Winslet refused to hide ‘belly rolls’ on movie set

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Winslet refused to hide her “belly rolls” while she was filming her new movie about war photographer Lee Miller.
The 48-year-old actress plays the model-turned-snapper in ‘Lee’ and she has revealed a crew member asked her to sit up straight to hide her tummy while she was filming a scene wearing a bikini – and Kate said no.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar magazine, she explained: “There’s a bit where Lee’s sitting on a bench in a bikini … And one of the crew came up between takes and said: ‘You might want to sit up straighter.’
“So you can’t see my belly rolls? Not on your life! It was deliberate, you know?”
Kate went on to insist she isn’t worried about trying to look picture perfect in her movie roles, adding: “The opposite. I take pride in it [looking less than perfect] because it is my life on my face, and that matters. It wouldn’t occur to me to cover that up.”
She added: “I think people know better than to say, ‘You might wanna do something about those wrinkles’. I’m more comfortable in myself as each year passes. It enables me to allow the opinions of others to evaporate.”
It comes after the ‘Titanic’ previously opened up about secretly battling an eating disorder during her early days in the public eye – admitting she kept her struggle to herself because she was getting so many compliments about her appearance that were all linked to her weight.
She told The New York Times Magazine: “I never told anyone about it,. Because guess what — people in the world around you go: ‘Hey, you look great! You lost weight!’ So even the compliment about looking good is connected to weight.
“And that is one thing I will not let people talk about [now]. If they do, I pull them up straight away.”
During the interview, Kate also expressed her worries about the rising use of the drug Ozempic to lose weight, saying: “I actually don’t know what Ozempic is. All I know is that it’s some pill that people are taking or something like that.”
When she was told the drug is used to control appetite and “dampen” interest in food, the actress appeared “appalled” and said: “Oh, my God. This sounds terrible. Let’s eat some more things!”

Whitney Port feeling ‘scared’ and ‘awful’ in IVF battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Whitney Port is feeling “scared” and “awful” as she restarts IVF treatment.
The 39-year-old reality star suffered three miscarriages and a chemical pregnancy before she and husband Tim Rosenman decided to opt for surrogacy, only for their two attempts at embryo transfer to end in losses too, and she took a “breather” from the process before restarting but she’s admitted the physical and emotional “discomfort” is taking a toll on her.
In a candid post on Instagram, she wrote: “As I go into my egg retrieval, I wanted to share an honest update about how I’m feeling, and honestly, I’m feeling awful.
“It’s not the physical discomfort (which totally sucks- bloating, bruising, swelling, heaviness) but the emotional discomfort. The hormones are making me feel like I can’t manage anything, like everything is just the worst.
“And I’m nervous that I’m not going to get out any quality eggs and what will this all be for. I’m scared. My energy is non existent and I feel like I’m not showing up the way I should as a wife, mom, sister, friend, co-worker, etc. My stomach feels up in my throat and I’m on the verge of tears/actual tears all day.”
‘The Hills’ star added: “The thing is – each day has felt different. Yesterday, 2 days before the retrieval had been the worst, while today feels a bit better.
“I’ll be ready to return to gratitude soon, but I am just not there yet with so much up in the air. That may be pessimistic, but I don’t want to force any feelings either.
“I can’t thank you all enough for your support and words of encouragement.”
Whitney and her husband are already parents to six-year-old son Sonny but they have been struggling to give him a sibling. They took some time off from the process this year so Whitney could take care of herself before restarting with the egg retrieval and an attempt to find a new surrogate who could carry their child.
She previously told E! News: “I took a little breather from the fertility situation. I decided to take a few months off from thinking about it and talking about it and proactively doing anything about it so that I could take care of myself.”
Whitney added of their current plans: “After a bunch of tries here, with both myself and a surrogate, we’re going to do another round of egg retrieval in New York. And in the meantime, looking for a surrogate for the next transfer.”

David Lynch has emphysema

OHMYGOSSIP — David Lynch has been diagnosed with emphysema.
The ‘Twin Peaks’ director contracted the lung disease as a result of “smoking for so long” but despite the restrictions it places on his life, he doesn’t plan to retire.
The 78-year-old filmmaker told Sight + Sound magazine: “I’ve gotten emphysema from smoking for so long and so I’m homebound whether I like it or not. … And now, because of COVID, it would be very bad for me to get sick, even with a cold…
” I can’t go out. And I can only walk a short distance before I’m out of oxygen.”
Asked about the possibility of making another movie, he said: “I like to be amongst the things and get ideas there. But I would try to do it remotely, if it comes to it.
“I wouldn’t like that so much.”
But the ‘Blue Velvet’ filmmaker later clarified his comment on X and insisted he will “never” stop working.
He wrote: “I am filled with happiness, and I will never retire,” he continued. “I want you all to know that I really appreciate your concern.”
In both the interview and on X, David spoke of how much he had “loved” smoking tobacco, but he quit more than two years ago.
He told the magazine: “Smoking was something that I absolutely loved, but in the end, it bit me.
“It was part of the art life for me: the tobacco and the smell of it, and lighting things and smoking and going back and sitting back and having a smoke and looking at your work, or thinking about things; nothing like it in this world is so beautiful. Meanwhile, it’s killing me.”
And on X he wrote: “I have to say that I enjoyed smoking very much, and I do love tobacco ― the smell of it, lighting cigarettes on fire, smoking them ― but there is a price to pay for this enjoyment, and the price for me is emphysema.”
David also reassured fans he is in “excellent shape except for emphysema.”

Britney Spears’ sons reconcile with grandad Jamie Spears

OHMYGOSSIP — Britney Spears’ sons have “forgiven” their grandfather Jamie Spears.
The 72-year-old patriarch was placed under a restraining order that stopped him having contact with his grandsons Sean Preston, now 18, and 17-year-old Jayden – who live with their father, Kevin Federline – back in 2019 after he was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with the older boy, but that has “expired on its own terms” and the teenagers have welcomed their grandad back into their lives.
Kevin’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column: “The boys miss their grandfather. They have forgiven him…
“There’s no restraint between Jamie communicating with them or them communicating with Jamie.”
Asked if the boys are in communication with Jamie, he added: “They have been speaking with him.”
It had been reported by TMZ that Preston and Jayden were planning to visit Jamie in Louisiana, and while the lawyer wasn’t able to confirm the trip, he did say Kevin, 46, wouldn’t “oppose” it and the former dancer is “supportive” of the reconciliation.
Kevin said in 2022 that he would welcome Jamie – who is estranged from Britney – to reconnect with his sons.
He told ITV: “I would absolutely welcome Jamie Spears back in the boys’ lives. Especially if that’s what the boys wanted.
“People make mistakes. I feel bad for him. I feel like he’s been put through the wringer.”
While there is seemingly little chance of Britney reconciling with her dad, who was her conservator for 13 years until 2021, she has taken steps to improve her relationship with her sons in recent months.
They were believed to have begun speaking again around a year ago, and Kevin’s lawyer confirmed in June the boys had called their mom on Mother’s Day, noting it was a “step in the right direction”.
However, he added: “It’s a process that takes more than just a phone call to accomplish.”
At the time of the alleged incident between Jamie and Preston, no criminal charges were brought, and Kevin made it clear he felt that was the right decision.
Kaplan said at the time: “It was not Kevin’s desire to see Jamie Spears be prosecuted.
“The police report that he initiated was only for the purpose of obtaining protection orders for the children and those remain in place.”
