OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Nolan feels “really, really lucky” to have beaten cancer twice.
The 73-year-old singer was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000 and went through a course of treatment but it returned almost exactly 20 years later and is “happy” to announce that she is “clear” of the disease at the moment.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, she said: “I am so lucky. I had my first cancer in 2000, I had my chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and an operation. And after six months of chemo, I was fine. And then 20 years later, almost to the day, it came back again in a different breast. Two separate cancers. And again, I had the chemo and the radiotherapy and the operation and I’m happy to say that I’m clear. I’ve got another year before I’m actually discharged but I’m clear of cancer at the moment, thank goodness. So I count myself really, really lucky. ”
The ‘I’m In the Mood For Dancing’ singer is known as part of The Nolans alongside her sisters but Bernie passed away in 2013 following a battle with cancer and Linda, 64, was diagnosed in 2023 with breast cancer before it spread to her brain.
Despite the disease hitting the family “hard”, Anne – who also has brothers Tommy, 75, and Brian, 69, as well as sisters Maureen, 70, Denise, 72, and Coleen, 59, -admitted that in some ways their family has been quite fortunate because only a relatively small number of them have been diagnosed with cancer.
She said: “It has hit us hard, but then there are eight children in our family and three of us have had cancer. Whereas sometimes you see families with three children and they’ve all had cancer.
“So if you look at it like that, we’re kind of lucky in a way that only three of us have had it. I know it’s terribly sad that Bernie passed away and Linda’s not very well at the moment, although she’s fantastic.
“She’s so upbeat about it all. She has moments, she has duvet days as she says herself but she still goes out and does things with the family and doesn’t let it get her down too much.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Collins is set to make her West End debut this year.
The ‘Emily In Paris’ actress will co-star with Álvaro Morte in the UK premiere of ‘Barcelona’ by Bess Wohl, which will have a limited 12-week engagement at the Duke of York from October 21 to January 11, 2025.
Lily, 35, said in a statement: “It has been a childhood dream of mind to perform in the West End and I’m hugely excited to make my stage debut in Bess’ exciting play, ‘Barcelona.
“Working with this team has truly been a gift and I cannot wait for audiences to be taken on a thrilling journey as the play unravels. I knew the moment I finished reading the script, I had to play Irene.”
Morte said: “The London scene is a vibrant and exhilarating canvas for fresh, groundbreaking work. I am thrilled to be a part of this captivating new play, marking my West End debut. I’m looking forward to bringing ‘Barcelona’ to life and sharing it with audiences.”
‘Barcelona’ is set in the titular Spanish city and follows an American tourist (Collins) who has a one-night stand with a handsome Spaniard (Morte).
However, over the course of the night, the romantic adventure turns into a complicated game of cat and mouse.
‘Barcelona’ will be directed by Lynette Linton and produced by ATG Productions, Bad Robot Live and Gavin Kalin Productions.

OHMYGOSSIP — Bats have caused chaos on the set of the new ‘Bridget Jones’ film, ‘Mad About The Boy’.
When Renee Zellweger and the cast and crew landed in Keswick, in the Lake District, to film scenes for the eagerly anticipated movie, they were met with opposition from bat experts, who worried about the impact production would have on the local bat population.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Filming ended up being paused by some bat experts who raised concerns about the local bat population and how they could be affected.
“Apparently they were worried about whether the bats could be disturbed, which made for a right old headache.
“An agreement was reached but it has become a running joke on the set. In the middle of fields in the Lake District, no one expected any issues.”
Meanwhile, there was also trouble during filming in London’s leafy Hampstead as locals complained about the movie disrupting their daily lives.
A source told The Sun: “[Areas] with stars such as Harry Styles, Rami Malek, Ricky Gervais and Rowan Atkinson, living there are all getting letters from the production about not interrupting shots.
“It’s gone down like a lead balloon with some of them and of course some of the normal people who live and work there.
“The letters have informed them about when filming is taking place and they have been asked to either leave their homes during this time or not to come and go at certain times.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Suzanne Somers’ widower is sure that she is trying to reach him from the afterlife.
The ‘Three’s Company’ actress died in October at the age of 76, following a battle with breast cancer, and Alan c- whom she tied the knot with in 1977 – has noticed signs around the house that she is still here with him.
He told Fox News Digital: “One day I’m in the kitchen with my family, and all of a sudden, Suzanne’s favorite song comes on the audio system; the audio system wasn’t even turned on. It’s a Latin song, and it’s written and performed by someone no one’s ever heard of. It’s a song we used to dance to in the kitchen. It just came on all by itself. And then, when it was over, that was it. The audio system stayed off.
“Later that day, the fireplace started by itself.
“It stayed on for an hour and then it turned off.
“Then one day, a hummingbird flew into our house. It goes to our little breakfast nook where there’s a photograph of Suzanne and me where we’re looking at each other. The hummingbird hovers in between our two faces. Then it flies up and sits on top of the photo.
“A few weeks later, I opened all the doors and windows and I saw the same hummingbird – they all have very distinctive colorings… I walked over and extended my hands. The hummingbird jumps into my hands, and she tucks in her little feet. All I felt was her belly. She felt safe.”
The former game show host was at one point “so positive” that the ‘Step by Step’ star was with him in bed with him one evening, he is convinced that there is life after death and that she will be waiting for him when his time comes.
He said: “When I go to bed at night, during that time when you’re not asleep yet, that’s when I really feel Suzanne’s presence to the point where it’s palpable.”.
“I remember one night I was so positive she was in bed with me. I reached over just to check, and of course, she wasn’t there.
“We discard the body, but we still have a soul. The soul is energy. And I have to believe that it finds a dimension or a plane that we don’t understand… I absolutely believe there is an afterlife. I do believe that when my time comes to expire, Suzanne will be waiting for me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Capshaw was shocked to discover she had been heavily photoshopped on a billboard.
The 47-year-old actress was cast as Rachel Wheeler in the 2005 miniseries ‘Into the West’ and recalled feeling “pretty good” on the day of the photoshoot for promotion, but was taken aback when she went to see herself on a billboard and noticed how much had been changed.
Speaking on her ‘Call It What It Is’ podcast, she said: “I was in this big Western miniseries, and they did a group picture where it was, I mean, it had to have been fifteen to twenty cast members, and we didn’t even shoot us all at the same time, but we’re all lined up, and I shot mine alone because I had been working somewhere else at the time.
“I was feeling pretty good that day.
“And then the billboard comes out, and it was one of the ones on Sunset. And then also they took out pages in Vanity Fair, so it’s like really everywhere, and I’m so excited because it’s like a big deal for me. And I go to look at it, and I flip through the thing, and I look at it, and I’m like, ‘What the?’
“They gave me an Avatar body. I didn’t dislike it. It just is not my body. So I had Zoe Saldaña’s body in ‘Avatar’. So, I had an ‘Avatar’ body.”
The ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star – who has son Luke, 16, and daughters Eve, 13, Josephine and Poppy, 11, with her husband Christopher Gavigan – was most surprised to see that her nose had been digitally altered and now looks on beauty standards through the eyes of a parent.
She said: “New nose. I had a new nose. My nose was not my nose on this billboard or this spread. I had a completely different nose.
“In looking at it through a parenting eye, is that it’s really important how you talk to yourself through .
“It’s really, really important that you’re kind to yourself and that you acknowledge the thought.
“It’s like, ‘Okay, I’m doing that thing, like I’m looking at that person, and I’m thinking I wish that I look like them for X, Y or Z reason, and I’m gonna feel that and then I’m gonna dismiss that thought and let it move right on.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Criminal charges for Matthew Perry’s death could come “any day now”.
Back in October, 2023, Matthew, 54, was found unresponsive in the hot tub of his Los Angeles home and an autopsy ruled his death was due to the acute effects of ketamine and drowning, with a criminal investigation launched in December to determine how he obtained the drugs.
Tre Lovell, a veteran entertainment attorney, told The US Sun: “Charges will be coming any day now. This investigation has been going on for a long time, and the leaks are starting to come out, which are probably intentional.
“[Anonymous law enforcement sources] are not going to leak stuff unless they intend on indicting, otherwise they’ll get egg on their face.
“There are several ways to impose criminal liability, either through the distribution of a controlled substance, an unlawful act that rose to criminal negligence or recklessness, and even in some cases involuntary manslaughter and mail fraud.
“There cases are tough, when somebody overdoses, that’s an act of their own volition, so to impose criminal culpability there’s a very high standard.
“They have to get warrants, they have to get subpoenas, they have to get private information from his physician, and this takes a lot of time.”
And Lovell believes the police are pursuing the case so aggressively in order to “deter future acts”.
He explained: “There’s a big policy now to attack this kind of drug distribution, with fentanyl at the top of the chain, and these other controlled substances that are floating around, like ketamine.
“The government – both at federal and state level – has a mandate to go after drug dealing like this where there are overdoses, so they’re going after the suppliers – and part of the reason for that strategy is deterrence.
“They want to deter future acts, and the best way to prevent someone from distributing drugs is deterring them from getting involved in the first place.
“Where there’s a high profile victim, and the press is monitoring it, it’s the government’s opportunity to show there are severe consequences for supplying people drugs.
“Not only can you be liable for distributing a drug, you can also be liable for homicide.
“And they’ll want to make that clear in this investigation.”

The 18-year-old musician is the adoptive son of the Queen of Pop, 65, and after recently moving out of his mother’s house to live with his girlfriend, he is making money by selling the opportunity for people to meet him and write songs together, according to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column.
He posted on his Instagram account: “Write a somg [sic] with me in person, limited time only from 8-28 Sept!”

The 43-year-old star filed for divorce from the ‘Christina in the Country’ host, 41, in July after almost three years of marriage and now an insider has claimed that he has “voluntarily left” their Southern California home, and that he “never wanted to be famous “in the first place.
A source told Us Weekly: “Josh is sad that the marriage ended this way, but he’s excited to move forward. He voluntarily moved his belongings from his and Christina’s jointly owned property. The 58-year-old singer has been in talks with Resorts World and is in the final stages of signing a deal for a new series of shows that will kick off in December, TMZ reports.
Janet was also reportedly offered a residency in London but chose Las Vegas instead because it was more lucrative.
The star’s last residency in Vegas was ‘Metamorphosis’ at Park MGM in 2019.
Meanwhile, Janet recently opened up about her musical inspirations, including her famous family.
She said: “I have to exclude family because obviously that spoke to me first, seeing my brothers, my sisters, my cousin Stevie [Wonder] – seeing him perform was a huge inspiration …

The 27-year-old actress tied the knot with actor boyfriend Tom Leach at a country estate in Somerset over the weekend, one year after they welcomed their son Leo together.
According to MailOnline, Mia and Tom hired out the 31 bedroom estate, Brympton House, in Yeovil – featured in Netflix’s adaptation of Jane Austen’s ‘Persuasion’ in 2022, which Mia co-starred in – for the nuptials.
Mia and Tom met in 2019 on the set of the ‘Rebels’ and welcomed Leo in August last year.
Mia reposted some of her friends’ wedding pictures on Instagram, including one of her in a stunning full length white gown, alongside Tom in a beige suit.

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Ridley has been diagnosed with Graves’ disease.
The 32-year-old actress first discovered she had the autoimmune disease in September 2023 when she went to her doctor after bouts of hot flashes and fatigue following filming of the psychological thriller ‘Magpie’.
Daisy told womenshealthmag.com: “It’s the first time I’ve shared that [Graves’]. I thought, Well, I’ve just played a really stressful role; presumably that’s why I feel poorly. It was funny, I was like, ‘Oh, I just thought I was annoyed at the world,’ but turns out everything is functioning so quickly, you can’t chill out.
“I am not super strict about it, but generally cutting down on gluten makes me feel better.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, Graves’ disease is an immune system condition that affects the thyroid gland. It causes the body to make too much thyroid hormone.
Making lifestyle changes helped Daisy to start to feel better and it is only now that Daisy – who suffered with a racing heart rate, weight loss, fatigue, and hand tremors – understands how ill she felt before.
She said: “I didn’t see how bad I felt before. Then I looked back and thought, How did I do that?
“I’ve always been health conscious, and now I’m trying to be more well-being conscious.
“I do a fair amount of the holistic stuff, but I also understand that it is a privilege to be able to do those things.
“We all read the stats about women being undiagnosed or underdiagnosed and sort of coming to terms with saying, ‘I really, actually don’t feel good’ and not going, ‘I’m fine, I’m fine, I’m fine, I’m fine.’ It’s just normalised to not feel good.”
And, she is determined not to feel sorry for herself.
Daisy said: “In the grand scheme of things, it’s much less severe than what a lot of people go through. Even if you can deal with it, you shouldn’t have to. If there’s a problem, you shouldn’t have to just [suffer through it].”

The 32-year-old star has enjoyed huge success with ‘Only Murders in the Building’, the mystery comedy-drama series, but Selena insists that she still has so many ambitions to achieve.
The brunette beauty told The Hollywood Reporter: “Acting has, and will always be, my heart.
“There’s so much that I want to do and that I haven’t even scratched the surface of, and it’s exciting to me.”
Selena was recently nominated for an Emmy Award for ‘Only Murders in the Building’, and she was quickly congratulated by her co-stars, Martin Short and Steve Martin.
The actress shared: “I received flowers from [Martin and Steve].
“I’m in LA, Marty’s always all over the world, and Steve is in New York. So, obviously, we can’t be together, but we’ll celebrate when we get back together again. But it was crazy.”
Selena has been nominated for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series gong at the Emmys.
And regardless of whether she wins the accolade or not, Selena already feels like a winner.
She explained: “I was just honoured to be on such a show that was recognised.
“I feel so lucky, because there are so many great shows, and to even be considered, to have an opportunity like this, is such an honour. In my mind, I feel like I already won.”
Despite this, Selena also recognises the importance of the show’s writers.
The actress – who plays Mabel Mora on the show – said: “I’m going to give the writers full credit, because they shock me.
“I’m a realist, so of course, in my mind, I think, ‘How many people could possibly be at our building and this happens?’ And every time they lay out the storyline for me, they point out key arcs that each of our characters are going to go through.
“I’ve noticed that with my character, they’ve really allowed her to grow.”

The 21-year-old actress enjoyed a meteoric rise on the back of the success of ‘Wednesday’, the hit Netflix series, and Jenna can understand why the public might’ve become sick of seeing her face.
The Hollywood star told Vanity Fair magazine: “My face was everywhere … so it’s like, fair enough, if I were opening my phone and I saw the same girl with some stupid quote or something, I would be over it too.”
Despite this, Jenna believes that actresses are judged more harshly than their male counterparts.
The ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ star said: “I feel like we definitely need to practice what we preach a little bit more … Women have to be princesses. They have to be elegant and classy and so kind and …then when they’re outspoken, they can’t be tamed and they’re a mess.”
Meanwhile, Michael Keaton – Jenna’s ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ co-star – recently heaped praise on the actress, describing her as a “really special” talent.
The 72-year-old actor revealed that he relished the experience of working with Jenna on the new movie.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, Michael – who starred in the original ‘Beetlejuice’ movie in 1988 – said: “Oh man, she’s good, she’s just got it, you know? She’s got the tone.

The 25-year-old star previously played Maya Hart in the Disney Channel series ‘Girl Meets World’, but Sabrina admits that it now feels like a distant memory.
The blonde beauty – who has largely focused on her music career in recent years – told Variety: “I’m 900 inappropriate jokes away from being a Disney actor, but people still see me that way.
“I’m always extremely flattered to be grouped in with the other women and girls who I’ve idolised and looked up to who came from that, but I feel very distant from it.”
Sabrina released her debut album, ‘Eyes Wide Open’, back in 2015.
The pop star appreciates the support of her long-time fans, but she also suggested that she’s now in a new phase of her career.

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift leads the list of nominees for the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).
The 34-year-old singer – who won seven VMAs in 2023 – has received ten nominations in total, including eight for ‘Fortnight’, her collaboration with Post Malone.
‘Fortnite’ is in contention for the Video of the Year accolade, which is considered to be the most prestigious of all of the awards. Taylor has actually won the gong four times already, and she could soon extend her own record.
The chart-topping star released her latest album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, in April, while Taylor has also been travelling the world for her Eras Tour.
Taylor is contention for the Artist of the Year gong, too, although she’ll face stiff competition from Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Eminem, Sabrina Carpenter ad SZA.
Elsewhere, Post Malone has received as many as nine nominations, including nods in the Video of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Collaboration categories.
Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter and Eminem have all earned six nominations each, while rap stars Megan Thee Stallion and SZA have both received five nominations.
This year’s list actually features as many as 29 first-time nominees, which includes the likes of Chappell Roan, Gracie Abrams, and Jelly Roll.
Music fans are able to vote for their favourite artists via MTV.com until August 30.
However, voting for the Best New Artist gong – which is being contested by Benson Boone, Chappell Roan, Gracie Abrams, Shaboozey, Teddy Swims and Tyla – will remain open until September 10.
The MTV VMAs will be staged at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on September 10.
