Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have ‘created a special life together’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have “created a special life” together.
The 66-year-old comedienne has been married to model Portia, 51, since 2008 and as she heads out on the road one final time before retirement, an insider has claimed that the celebrity couple have turned their Californian home into a “magical” abode.
A source told People: “They live in Montecito full-time and love it. Ellen’s on the road right now for a stand-up special. She canceled a few dates in July … She’s excited though. She plans on it being her final comedy tour. She talks about retiring.
“They have created a special life in Montecito. It’s truly a magical place. Portia even has a whole equestrian facility on their property. One can say without any exaggeration that Portia is obsessed with her horses. It’s her life passion.”
The TV star – who ended her eponymous talk show series in 2002 after almost two decades on air – has suggested that she will step back from showbusiness after ‘Ellen’s Last Stand … Up Tour’ hits Netflix later in 2024 and her latest stand-up stint.
Speaking to the audience at her show in Santa Rosa, California, she said when asked where fans can see her next: “Um, no.
“This is the last time you’re going to see me. After my Netflix special, I’m done.”
She continued: “Thank you for still caring! Let me catch you up on what’s been going on with me since you last saw me. I got chickens.”
In April, the ‘Finding Nemo’ star insisted she became the “most hated person in America” at one point after she was accused of bullying employees on the set of her show.
She stepped away from the spotlight after the final episode aired but returned to the public eye in April with her stand-up show at the Largo in Los Angeles, California.
Ellen told the audience: “I got kicked out of show business. There’s no mean people in show business … [I became the] most hated person in America… the hate went on for a long time and I would try to avoid looking at the news.
“The ‘be kind’ girl wasn’t kind. That was the headline.”

Nany – who is now married to Geoff Bywater – told PEOPLE in 2021: “[The divorce] was really a sad time because I didn’t know how to get through it. But now it’s definitely okay, because what it brought to me was my new relationship with Geoff, which is everything I always wanted.
“I was holding out because I thought we could fix it. And I was from a family where my mom and dad were such devoted people. In my mind, I thought that was the standard by which my life should be lived and my relationships should meet up to. So, when it wasn’t working, and I couldn’t fix it, I was devastated.”

Paloma Faith quits X

OHMYGOSSIP — Paloma Faith has quit social media platform X.
The 43-year-old singer has decided to deactivate her account on the site, formerly known as Twitter, because she is upset at comments made by owner Elon Musk about the recent UK riots and by the direction the platform has taken since he bought it.
She posted on her X account: “As someone dedicated to justice, fairness, and equality, I am deeply troubled by Elon Musk’s recent comments

Scooby Doo star Matthew Lillard admits he ‘sucked at everything’ until he discovered acting

OHMYGOSSIP — Matthew Lillard “sucked at everything” until he discovered acting.
The 54-year-old actor is best known for his role as best known for his role as Shaggy Rogers in the live-action ‘Scooby-Doo’ film series alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar and found renewed recognition when he starred in ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ in 2023 but recalled that his whole journey with his passion came out of his “awkward” teen years when his dad gave him an ultimatum.
Speaking on the YouTube series ‘JayBee and Milly’, he said: “I was an obese teenager, I moved when I was the most awkward age possible, I have a severe learning disability, I have glasses, I have braces and I sucked at everything except for acting. So, at some point in eighth grade, my dad said to me I could either take an acting class or a typing class.
“We used to have typewriters, typing classes. So I took the acting class and that basically started a journey that still goes today. I’m 54 years old and I’ve been chasing it ever since.”
The ‘She’s All That’ star – who has also voiced the role of Shaggy in the classic franchise since 2009 – noted that he didn’t really have a desire to be famous and instead found success just by exercising his passion rather than “desperately chasing” a celebrity status.
He added: “The funny thing is most people wouldn’t [have chosen the acting class]. There’s so many people out there who, the last thing they wanna do is be in front of people or centre of attention. My dad thought I’d be a great salesman and I think he wanted me to have the ability to stand in front up of people and to present myself.
“My mom and dad never said no. I didn’t graduate thinking I wanted to be famous, I just kept doing the stuff that I really wanted to do and nobody told me that it was a bad idea so I just eventually ended up finding success rather than desperately chasing the idea of being famous. There was a natural love and passion for it that kept propelling me a little bit more forward every time.”

She told Britain’s HELLO magazine: “I went to the London Olympics [in 2012] and the Winter Olympics in Vancouver [in 2010]. We were meant to go to Tokyo [in 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic], but obviously that couldn’t happen. So this feels like the first big one back in a long time,”.
“It’s great to see how much work they’ve put into it and how it’s flowing so well. They’ve worked it out beautifully.
“I play tennis, I love running and I love swimming. I think that’s just being Australian. You participate in sports really early on,.
But I’m also a great spectator. I love to cheer people on.”
The ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ star – who has Bella, 31, and Connor, 29, with ex-husband Tom Cruise as well as Sunday, 16, and 13-year-old Faith with her second husband Ketih Urban – cheered on 14-year- old Australian skateboarder Chloe Covell, who was competing in the final eight at La Concorde skate park.
She added: “”I find the resilience of these athletes extraordinary.
“The Olympic Games crosses all demographics and everyone is part of it. It’s about us all having hope – hope for every single athlete who comes here. That’s what I love seeing people so united on.
“As an athlete, if you can tell people that you went to the Olympics, you have that for the rest of your life. It’s about competing, but it’s also about experiencing so much joy.”

Elizabeth Taylor was ‘so ashamed’ of trying to take her new life, new documentary claims

OHMYGOSSIP — Elizabeth Taylor was “so ashamed” of trying to take her own life.
The late Hollywood actress – who had children Michael Wilding, Jr., Christopher Wilding, Liza Todd and Maria McKeown – is the subject of the new documentary film ‘Elizabeth Taylor: The Lost Tapes’ and discusses her life in a series of recently-discovered candid interviews
Director Nanette Burstein told Fox News Digital: “I was surprised by some of the things that she did and admitted to doing. Like attempting [to take her own life], for example. Because she was so unhappy with her marriage to Eddie Fisher and the fact that he put a gun to her head and said, ‘You’re much too pretty to shoot.’ Some of these tidbits of really tumultuous moments in her life were revelations to me.”
“She was so upset with herself for attempting to take her own life because of her children. She felt it was so selfish. But a lot of it was feeling trapped, like, ‘Oh, my God, I’ve publicly divorced so many men at this point, and I’m still in my 20s, early 30s.’ She was so ashamed. She married Eddie Fisher because she was reacting to the death of [her third husband] Mike Todd, who tragically and suddenly died in a plane crash.”
The ‘Cleopatra’ star – who died in 2011 at the age of 79 – is heard in the new documentary claiming that she felt “so lost” during her marriage to Eddie because he didn’t like to socialise.
She is heard saying: “Eddie made sure that I felt lonely.
“We never went out. It’s like he didn’t like me to mingle with other people… I started to sleep 14-15 hours at once. I was trying to avoid everything. I was trying to avoid life. But I was so desperate at one time that I did take some sleeping pills. I did it deliberately, calmly and in front of Eddie. I was fed up with everything. I couldn’t face the thought of divorce. I’d rather be dead than face going through a divorce!”

Victoria Beckham insists she ‘came from working-class background’ as her dad had white van – and Rolls-Royce

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham has insisted she “came from a working-class background” as her father had a white van as well as a Rolls-Royce.
The former Spice Girls singer, 50, who has a joint estimated fortune of £455 million with her ex-footballer husband David Beckham, 49, was mocked when she declared in the four-part Netflix documentary ‘Beckham’ she was
“very working-class” despite being driven to school in her dad’s luxury car.
It saw David ordering Victoria to “be honest” and repeatedly asking her what car he dad drove her to school in when he overheard her saying she came from humble roots – while she tells him “it’s not a simple answer”.
She has now told Vogue Australia about her comments: “You know, my dad had a Rolls-Royce and he also had a white van.
“I came from a working-class background and so my dad in the ’80s, he was an entrepreneur, he started his business with my mum at the kitchen table and he did very well, so he bought himself a Rolls-Royce.”
Victoria, known as Posh Spice in her Spice Girls days, added: “We went to a regular school and we didn’t live in a big house and the minute he made money he went and bought himself a Rolls-Royce.
“One day we’d go to school in the Rolls-Royce and one day we’d go in the van because he’d still work, he was an electrical wholesaler and he was very much a worker.”
Victoria admitted she was mortified at the prospect of being driven to school in the fancy car as she was desperate to fit in at the time.
She said: “Me and my siblings used to beg him, ‘Can we please go to school in the white van?’
“Like, we were mortified at the idea of going in the Rolls-Royce.
“How things have changed! Nowadays, I’d be like, ‘Don’t worry about the van, let’s go in the Roller!’
“But in those days, we just wanted to fit in.”

Faye Dunaway’s mental health reveal felt ‘cathartic’

OHMYGOSSIP — Faye Dunaway says opening up about her diagnosis with bipolar disorder felt “cathartic”.
The 83-year-old ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ actress went public with her mental health struggles in new HBO documentary ‘Faye’ and explained how she was put on medication after being probed by doctors – and she’s now insisted speaking openly about her condition has helped her “overcome and understand” her difficulties.
During an interview with The Independent newspaper, Faye was asked if it felt “cathartic” to speak about her condition and she replied: “Cathartic is a good word. It was. To look at it all and see what it added up to. It was difficult sometimes, because it is very private to me.
“I was a bit wary at seeing it all out there, but that’s the process – it’s the whole point of the film, the sharing of who I am. I dug deep!”
She went on to explain how her condition actually helped her as an actress, adding: “The mania we tap into, and the sadness, of course … I don’t know how all that works exactly but I understand that I need all of that to use in my craft.
“It has been a difficulty, of course, as a person sometimes. It’s something I’ve had to deal with and overcome and understand. It is something that is part of who I am, and that now I can understand and deal with much more.”
Faye gained a reputation for being “difficult” in Hollywood – with her fellow acting veteran Bette Davis, who died aged 81 in 1989, once telling chat show host Johnny Carson she was “impossible” and “uncooperative” on set.
Speaking in the ‘Faye’ film, she said of her temperament: “I don’t mean to make an excuse about it, I am still responsible for my actions.
“But this is what I came to understand, was the reason for them. It’s something you need to be aware of, you need to try to do the right thing to take care of it.
“[My mental health is] a sensitivity and it’s something that is just a part of my make-up … Thank God there is medication and there are studies, and there are doctors who deal with this and I’ve been able to benefit from that.
“Medication is crucial and without it, you fall back into what is there psychologically and biologically.”
She added of her treatment: “I worked with a group of doctors who analysed my behaviour, who gave me prescriptions for pills they thought would be good for me. And that helped.
“So I am quieter. But throughout my career, people know there were tough times.”

Victoria Beckham ‘didn’t have much of a social life’ raising four kids

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham “didn’t have much of a social life” while raising her four children with husband David Beckham.
The Spice Girls star is mum to four kids with the former footballer, and she’s revealed the couple had nannies and relied on their parents for help with the kids, but she still struggled to balance her work and personal life with being a mum-of-four.
She told Vogue Australia: “Getting that balance is very difficult. I struggled with that a lot when the children were younger. We’ve never had an enormous amount of staff, if you like. We do have nannies and we do have our parents, who have been amazing. But you do feel like you’re juggling.
“You’re trying to be the best wife, the best mum, the best professional. We didn’t have much of a social life when the children were younger, that is just that one thing too much”.
Victoria’s youngest child – daughter Harper – has just turned 13 and the singer-turned-fashion designer confessed that she feels the couple are now entering a new chapter in their lives as their kids all grow up.
She added: “The kids get older and they flee the nest and have their own passions. Now myself and David are in the next chapter.
“Even Harper, who is 13, has her friendship group, she loves to do her own thing, and we’re super, super close but it definitely feels like that next chapter of our lives together.”
Victoria went on to open up about her relationship with husband David after they recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. She added: “I have a husband I very much am still in love with, possibly more than when we first met.
“We really laugh. And we really support each other in regards to our careers and passions … Me and David can go away, just the two of us, and we laugh and we enjoy that time, and I think that’s so rare after so many years. It’s a pinch-me moment every day.”

Zac Efron ‘happy and healthy’ after ‘minor’ swimming accident

OHMYGOSSIP — Zac Efron has reassured fans he is “happy and healthy” after a “minor” swimming accident.
The ‘Baywatch’ actor was vacationing in Ibiza when he experienced an issue in the pool of the villa he was staying at on Friday (02.08.24) and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure but released the next morning.
Zac has now broken his silence and is back to working out.
Sharing a picture of himself laying on a Pilates ball flexing his muscles with a pair of weights, outside on decking, he wrote on his Instagram Story: “Happy and healthy – thanks for the well wishes.”
Sources told TMZ the 36-year-old star was pulled out of the water by two people working at the villa, but his spokesperson didn’t explain how it could have only been a “minor” incident if he required hospital treatment.
They stressed he was only there as a precautionary measure but declined to be drawn on the specifics of what happened.
His representative insisted: “He is fine.”
Zac previously admitted he loves to “disconnect” from the world in nature.
The ‘High School Musical’ alum can find his “true self” again in the great outdoors and needs to do that to decompress after he’s completed work on a role before, he can reconnect with his loved ones.
He told The Rake magazine: “When filming is done, I need to disconnect.
“Be out in nature and let the character drift out of me and I then find my true self again.
“The best place for me to do that if not in nature is to be somewhere new.
“I think you need to re-engage with who you are before you head back and try to be with your friends and family.”
The ‘Iron Claw’ actor loves travelling and immersing himself in a new culture, which he sees as a great antidote to how “small” life in Los Angeles can be.
He said: “One of the biggest blessings of my journey is that I’ve been able to travel from a young age.
“At the beginning it was really just for press, being called across to Japan for ‘Hairspray’ and I got to see Japanese culture and I was really taken with that.
“That curiosity in me kept growing and usually if I am not working then I will be on a trip finding something new.
“A new part of the world, trying the food, meeting the people, finding out as much about their culture as possible.
“It is a great way to live, and it opens your eyes to something much bigger than Hollywood, it can all feel very small if you’re stuck in LA and I was stuck there for quite a few years.”

Catherine, Princess of Wales WILL join royals at Balmoral

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine, Princess of Wales is set to join the royal family at Balmoral this month.
The 42-year-old royal will accompany her husband Prince William and their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and six-year-old Prince Louis, as well as other members of the institution, to Scotland for their annual break, in what will be her longest journey since she was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, sources told the Mail on Sunday newspaper.
After revealing in March she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy following abdominal surgery earlier in the year, Catherine has mostly divided her time between the family’s Windsor home Adelaide Cottage and their holiday residence in Norfolk, Anmer Hall, with the two properties being around 125 miles apart.
The princess also made the short journey to London for Trooping the Colour in June and Wimbledon for the men’s tennis final in July.
In June, Catherine revealed she is “making good progress” but still had “a few more months” of treatment to complete.
She said in a statement: “I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times.
“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days, you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.
“My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home.”
Catherine also noted she would be making her first official public appearance at Trooping the Colour and even though she is “not out of the woods yet” with regards to her health, she is focusing on taking things one day at a time.
She said: “I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.
“I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much-needed time to heal.
“Thank you so much for your continued understanding, and to all of you who have so bravely shared your stories with me.”

The ‘Yellowstone’ actor’s wife Bianca Rodrigues Grimes – who he married in November 2018 – has revealed she is expecting her first baby with the 40-year-old star and “can’t wait” to meet the tot.
Bianca shared a photo on Instagram which featured a silhouette of herself posing for a mirror selfie with her bump on display and captioned the post: “Can’t wait to meet you little one [heart emoji].”
Her husband has yet to comment on the happy news, and it is not known when the pair are due to welcome their baby into the world, or if they know whether they are expecting a boy or a girl.
Luke previously pledged to be with the Brazilian beauty “forever” and praised the model as a “real angel”.
He told USA Today newspaper last year: “I’m a very married person and I love my wife to death. We’ll be together forever.
“There’s no way I earn it. I do my best. But I’m a flawed big ol’ weird-a** man. She’s the real angel here.”
The ‘Happiness for Beginners’ actor also revealed classic NBC sitcom ‘The Office’ had been vital for their relationship because the programme had helped Bianca to learn English.
He told People magazine: “She moved to the States without knowing a word of English.
“And when I met her, she had only lived here for two years, but she spoke beautiful, fluent English. I was like, ‘How did you learn it so fast?’ And she said, ‘I watched The Office with subtitles.’ ”

Jeff Goldblum’s marriage is ‘delicious’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeff Goldblum’s marriage to wife Emilie Livingston is “delicious”.
The ‘Jurassic Park’ star married the dancer/gymnast back in 2014 and they became parents to two sons together and Jeff has now insisted the relationship is still going strong 10 years on despite his previous reluctance to walk down the aisle again after his two previous marriages ended in divorce.
When asked about his decision to marry for a third time, Jeff admitted he just doesn’t like weddings. He told the Guardian newspaper: “Weddings! I was, like, I dunno. I avoid weddings … They’re not my favourite family or showbiz events … I’d been married a couple of other times. Had never had kids … It ain’t nothing to toss off or take lightly. You don’t want to mess it up … ”
However, Jeff, 71, has no regrets about taking the plunge with Emilie, 41,, adding: “So far, it’s been delicious. And enlarging. And sobering. A good lighthouse.”
When asked about the lighthouse reference, he explained: “Well, y’know … I’m not nautical … But they help you find your way. They’re a guide of sorts.”
The couple are parents to Charlie, eight, and seven-year-old River and Jeff shared the advice he gives to them, saying: “‘Listen. I don’t want to step on your spirit, or suppress you, or hog-tie you. But you’re in this world. Don’t hurt each other. Take care of yourselves. Have regard for the gift of your own human life. Have regard and respect for the lives of others’.”
He went on to insist his most important rule for his sons is to never lie. He added: “Always tell the truth. Don’t even go, ‘Hey! I love your sweater!’ Or don’t go backstage and say, ‘You were great, you were spectacular!’ Graciousness and elegance demand that sometimes you need to not tell the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, all the time, to everybody. You have to honour kindness over cruelty and be sensitive to somebody’s feelings. But don’t lie’.”

Kerry Katona considering baby number six

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona is considering having a sixth child after doctors told her she is still able to conceive.
The former Atomic Kitten star, 43, has five children from previous relationships and she’s confessed she’s open to having another baby if her fiance Ryan Mahoney decides he wants to be a dad but she has decided she would use a surrogate after the “trauma” of her last birth.
In her column for OK! magazine, she wrote: “I was told [by doctors] that I’ve still got follicles – meaning I could have another baby. I don’t think I would have another one, but Ryan keeps changing his mind! If he wants another one then that’s fine, but we need to get a move on.
“But saying that, I would never carry another child. I would get a surrogate.”
Kerry went on to explain she went through a terrible time during the birth of her youngest child DJ, 10, and she doesn’t want to put her eldest daughters through the same amount of worry again.
She added: “The reason for that [wanting to use a surrogate] is that [daughters] Molly and Lilly have some trauma from when I had DJ. It was such a traumatic birth and DJ nearly died during the labour, but that got lost in communication and the girls thought that I had died, so since then they’ve told me they couldn’t handle me having another child myself.”
Kerry is mum to Molly, 22, and Lilly-Sue, 21, from her marriage to pop star Brian McFadden, as well as Heidi, 17, and Max, 16, with Mark Croft and DJ, 10, with the late George Kay.
Kerry has previously said she would consider getting her eggs frozen to give Ryan time to make up his mind about whether he wants to have a baby with her.
In a previous column for the magazine, Kerry explained: “I don’t want to deprive him – in fact, I’ve given him a pass and said, ‘If this is something you want to pursue, leave me now!’
“I never want someone to not have that feeling of having their own child. But I feel like I should be enough for a man. Maybe many moons ago I’d have done it for a man, but not any more. Me and my kids should be enough for Ryan, and actually, I know we are.”

Tom Hanks’ home ‘burgled’

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson have reportedly been targeted by burglars.
The couple’s home in Los Angeles is believed to have been broken into by thieves who smashed glass to gain access to a guest house on the property which they then ransacked.
According to TMZ.com, the incident took place ” a few weeks ago” and the burglars did not manage to gain access to the main house. It’s not yet clear what was taken. The website states police have launched an investigation into the break-in but no arrests have been made.
The news comes almost a year after the couple’s son Chet, 34, came face-to-face with an intruder who had broken into his home. Reports at the time suggested the suspect lashed out at police officers who arrested him at the scene, but Chet was not injured.
Chet recently opened up about his childhood admitting he felt “worthless” despite growing up with famous parents.
Speaking to his celebrity housemates on ‘Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets’, Chet said: “I’ll tell you something about my childhood. People think that being Tom Hanks’ son, like, I would grow up feeling like I was the s***. “
“I actually grew up feeling completely f****** worthless. People treated me like, ‘You must think you’re better than me’ when I didn’t. I just wanted to be friends with everybody and be treated like everybody else.
“But what am I supposed to do? Walk through the doors and be all meek and timid? That was a mind f*** for me to deal with. “If you do walk in through the door and you’re like, ‘Here I am motherf*****’ then it’s like, ‘Oh look at you arrogant son of a b****.’ I did internalise all that negativity. Maybe I am f****** worthless, you know what I’m saying?”
The former ‘Empire’ actor has previously been treated for addiction and he recently admitted life has become “extremely easy” since he got sober almost three years ago.
He told People magazine: “I’m ready for people to see that I’m just a regular guy. That’s why I signed up for ‘Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets’ … None of this would be possible without sobriety. It’s not difficult at all. What’s difficult is when you’re trying to manage your life and you’re not sober, that’s what’s difficult.
“When you just commit and decide and you stick to it, it’s not even something that you negotiate with. It’s just a non-negotiable. And life becomes extremely easy.”
