OHMYGOSSIP — Rob Schneider feels “terrible” after his daughter opened up about her difficult childhood.
The 60-year-old former ‘Saturday Night Live’ star has addressed recent allegations made by his singer daughter Elle King, 35, after she accused ‘The Waterboy’ actor of sending her to “fat camp” when she was younger, and recalled him forgetting “every single birthday”.
Responding on ‘The Tucker Carlson Show’ podcast, Rob said: “It’s fun being a parent, isn’t it?
“I want to just tell my daughter: Elle, I love you, and I wish I was the father of my 20s that that you needed, and clearly I wasn’t.”
He asked his daughter – who has her own child, two-year-old son Lucky, with Daniel Tooker – to forgive his “shortcomings” and added that he loves her “completely” and “entirely”.
He continued: “I just want you to be well and happy with you and your beautiful baby, Lucky.
“I wish you the best. I feel terrible, and I just want you to know that I don’t take anything you say personally.”
Rob insisted all he wants is for Elle – whose mother is his first wife, London King – “to be happy and to heal from this”.
His daughter recently revealed she was a “really heavy child” and her actor dad tried to help her shed the pounds by sending her away to attend special weight loss treatment programme – and she got in trouble when she suffered an injury which hampered her efforts to slim down.
During an appearance on Bunnie Xo’s ‘Dumb Blonde’ podcast, Elle explained: “I was, like, a really, really heavy child. My dad sent me to fat camp. And then I got in trouble one year because I sprained my ankle and I didn’t lose any weight. Very toxic and very silly.”
She went on to open up about her difficult relationship with her actor father admitting they went “four or five years without talking”.
Elle’s dad and her mum London King divorced in 1990 and she was raised by her mum and step-dad in Ohio, while she had a strained relationship with him as a child and only reconnected with him as an adult.
She added of their turbulent relationship: “If I would ever spend a summer with my dad it would be on a movie set. I would just get lost in the shuffle. If I ever messed up a shot, if I ever was talking, I would get in trouble.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato won’t let her future child get into the entertainment business until they’re an adult.
The 31-year-old former child star – whose career began in ‘Barney and Friends’ when she was 10 years old – would be keen to support her kids’ passions in life, but if she does become a mother one day, she doesn’t want her offspring to follow in her footsteps so early in life.
Asked how she would address her daughter wanting to enter the business, she told The Hollywood Reporter: “I’d say, ‘Let’s study music theory and prepare you for the day you turn 18, because it’s not happening before that’.
“‘Not because I don’t believe in you or love you or want you to be happy, but because I want you to have a childhood, the childhood that I didn’t have.'”
The ‘Heart Attack’ singer – who is engaged to musician Jutes, after they started dating in August 2022 – also admitted she wishes she’d had a “backup plan” so that she wasn’t so reliant on music.
She explained: “And also, let’s come up with a backup plan,’ which is something I wish I’d done because sometimes I think it’s time for me to move on, but I’m in this weird position in my career because I still rely on music for my income.”
Indeed, Demi noted she has stepped back from acting and isn’t sure if she’ll tour again despite working on new music.
She said: “I think part of me always thought that if I made it in the industry that I would get the love from my birth dad that I didn’t have.
“And he was troubled, and I think I always chased success because I knew it would put me in his line of sight again and it would make him proud of me.
“But now that I’ve dealt with those daddy issues, I don’t need the industry as much as I once did, and I’m proud of myself for getting here.”
Demi previously admitted she struggled with her teen years in the public eye, with many of her non-famous peers getting the chance to go out and make “mistakes”.
She told Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe: “In your teens, people who aren’t in the spotlight are still trying to figure themselves out.
“They’re going to parties. They’re making mistakes. And it’s like, if you’re a 15-year-old and you’re making mistakes, it’s magnified.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams and Ayda Field have renewed their wedding vows after 14 years of marriage.
The couple – who have children Teddy, 11, Charlie, nine, Coco, five, and four-year-old Beau together – had planned to reaffirm their commitment to one another on their 10th anniversary, but the coronavirus pandemic put paid to the celebration.
However, the ‘Angels’ singer has now let slip the news in a post about his new teeth having no nerve endings.
Buried in a length Instagram message, in which Robbie also gave fans his opinions on the Olympics and jet lag, he wrote: “Oh, Me and Ayda renewed our vows.
“I am very very very grateful. I’m grateful right now. I’m not in the future, tired and stressed. I’m right here right now grateful. (sic)”
Robbie also wrote in the message: “Now ever since I can remember I’ve bitten my nails. I love it. Biting the nail then chewing it. My new teeth have no nerve endings.
Also, my new teeth can’t bite into the nail. With no nerve endings comes no texture joy from my favourite calorie-free nibble.

In February, Ayda revealed she and Robbie were planning to renew their vows in 2025, when they will be celebrating 15 years of marriage.
The star also admitted she hoped her mother Gwen and her 18-year-old dog Poupette – who played a role in their original wedding ceremony – would be able to attend.
She told Britain’s HELLO! magazine at the time: “I do think with my mom’s health and if Poupette can hold on one more year, we will do a 15- year anniversary renewal.
“There are a lot of relatives and people who need to stay alive, but yes, let’s do it!”
The ‘Back To You’ actress feels “grateful” the ‘Let Me Entertain You’ singer hasn’t changed since their wedding day.
Reflecting on their wedding, she said: “Wow, what a journey we’ve been on, what a beautiful, blessed journey.
“I feel grateful to know that the man I’m in love with there is still the man I’m married to today, but even better. To have our families there, too – you don’t realise how precious these moments are. We’ve really had a remarkable run and that day was the start of it.
“It’s a beautiful thing when you’re in a healthy relationship. I feel very blessed that he inspires me to be a better person, and I inspire him too.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gena Rowlands has died aged 94.
The actress, whose best-known roles include dementia-stricken Allie in ‘The Notebook’, passed away on Wednesday (14.08.24) at her home in Indian Wells, California.
According to Deadline, the ‘Another Woman’ star, who quit acting in 2015, was surrounded by family at the time of her passing, but no cause of death has been given.
In June, it was reported that Gena was in the “full” grip of Alzheimer’s.
While celebrating the 20th anniversary of ‘The Notebook’, Gena’s 65-year-old filmmaker son Nick Cassavetes told Entertainment Weekly: “I got my mom to play older Allie, and we spent a lot of time talking about Alzheimer’s and wanting to be authentic with it, and now, for the last five years, she’s had Alzheimer’s.
“She’s in full dementia, and it’s so crazy – we lived it, she acted it, and now it’s on us.”
Gena’s late mother Lady Rowlands died aged 95 in 1999 after suffering the degenerative disease.
The actress opened up in 2004 about how her mum’s struggle with Alzheimer’s had influenced her decision to play Allie in ‘The Notebook’, adapted from Nicholas Sparks’ debut 1996 novel.
She told O magazine: “I went through that with my mother, and if Nick hadn’t directed the film, I don’t think I would have gone for it – it’s just too hard.
“It was a tough but wonderful movie.”
Gena was also renowned for her collaborations with her late husband, John Cassavetes – who died in 1989 aged 59 from complications linked to liver disease – including the 1974 film ‘A Woman Under the Influence’ and ‘Gloria’ six years later.
She received Oscar nominations for both roles and her last film was the 2014 comedy ‘Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks’, which co-starred 48-year-old Cheyenne Jackson.
Gena also won four Emmy Awards – for ‘The Betty Ford Story’, ‘The Incredible Mrs Ritchie’, ‘Face of a Stranger’, and ‘Hysterical Blindness’ – and two Golden Globes.

OHMYGOSSIP — Zoë Kravitz has played down the idea she is getting married next year.
The 35-year-old star quietly got engaged to Channing Tatum last year after first meeting on the set of new movie ‘Blink Twice’ in 2021, and while her famous dad Lenny Kravitz recently said the family would “have a wedding next year”, she has insisted that’s not necessarily the case.
She told Esquire magazine: “It’s literally something we’ve said in passing. Like, maybe I said, ‘Next year would be cool.’ ”
While she isn’t certain about a wedding date, she is fairly adamant that there aren’t more children in her and Channing’s future.
She explained: “For a long time, I felt like there was something wrong with me. I was waiting for this light to go off in my head, and it never did.
“When you’re younger, you’re like, ‘Well, I can’t have kids. I’m too young! It’d be crazy.’ I had to actually look at what do I want.”
Her friendship group has shifted with her pals having their lives changed by marriage and children, and Zoe admitted it can be isolating.
Meanwhile, she would like her own achievements – such as her directorial work behind the camera on ‘Blink Twice’ – to get a similar level of respect as motherhood.
She added: “For a lot of people that have children, it is this giant, life-changing event – and I do think there is a certain amount of focus and respect that they should get from their community.
“There’s a lot of pressure on women to have children, and there’s a feeling that if you don’t, you don’t have purpose here. But this movie, it feels like I gave birth.”
Channing, 44, stars in his fiancée’s directorial debut, and recently said he loved working with Zoe and had no “fear” about the collaboration.
Speaking to chat show host Jimmy Fallon, he said: “Creating is our, like, love language. Like, we really just enjoy that.
“I didn’t have any fear going into making a movie with somebody that you’re — you know, is the love of your life.”

The 53-year-old superstar has been in the music business for more than 30 years and even moved into acting but has now decided that she has achieved everything she wanted to and will give it all up within due course.
She told Us Weekly: “I’ve done pretty much everything that I want to do. The boxes have been checked. Maybe [I’ll retire] in a couple of years. Sometimes I get fatigued, you know what I’m saying? I’m tired.
“I’ve been doing this for 30-something years. So, in a little while, it’ll be time. … [But I’ll be] working hard until then.”
When the ‘Family Affair’ hitmaker does bring her career to an end, she has plans to travel the world and enjoy all that she has worked hard for.
She said: “Retirement looks like traveling the world. Going to places I’ve never been before. Relaxing. Being on yachts and in homes and just enjoying the fruits of my labour.”
The Grammy Award-winning star – who split from Kendu Isaacs in 2018 after 15 years of marriage – has seemingly changed her mind on when exactly to retire, as in April she explained that she would probably be looking to do so by the end of the decade.
She told US TV show ‘Extra: “Mary is singing about life. Life… love… being stable and understanding you can have things like love. You can have a good life. “Right now, I’m definitely gonna do some more acting and I’m definitely gonna retire in, like, five or six years.
“Right now, I’m still doing what I’m doing but not as often as I was doing it because I don’t have to now.”

The ‘Freaky Friday’ actress – who is reprising her role of Anna Coleman in an upcoming sequel to the 2003 body swap classic – has admitted she’d love to swap bodies with 13-month-old baby Luai as he is “so pure and happy”.
The 38-year-old actress – who has the little one with husband Bader Shammas – told PEOPLE when asked who she would swap with: “Anyone? Maybe my baby.
“Just to see — because he is, so pure and just so happy, just to see life through his eyes, just every day. He’s just this beautiful bundle of joy. I can’t think of anything else.”
In the joint interview with co-star Jamie Lee Curtis – who played her mom Tess Coleman in the flick and will also return for the second movie – Lindsay said of their bond: “I think we’ve grown so much closer since then. Especially on this movie.”
Jamie Lee, 65, says she wanted Lindsay to know she “cared” and was there to support her amid the plights of fame.
She said: “Lindsay was 15 going on 16 when we made Freaky Friday. And it was a big success. It was a big success for both of us.
“And I just feel like since that time I’ve always tried to make sure that she understood that I existed in a very real way and that it wasn’t some fake movie, that we were friends and that I cared about her. The 54-year-old ‘Waterfalls’ hitmaker has revealed the many objects she’s had lobbed onstage at her over the years – including someone’s car keys, which she swiftly threw back into the crowd.
She told Us Weekly: “I’ve had bras, panties and car keys thrown at me.
“I threw the car keys back. Like, ‘Girl, you almost hit me in the face. Don’t scratch my moneymaker!”
Fans throwing items at musicians is nothing new, and recently, Bebe Rexha had an audience member escorted out of her concert after they threw an object at her.
The 34-year-old pop singer was performing at a festival when she demanded that the person who launched something at her be removed from the show altogether.
In a video posted to social media in June, she said: “If you hit me with something on the stage, I will take you for everything you’ve f****** got. Do not f****** play with me right now. Which one? Point me to the person. I want to see them. Out. Get the f*** out. That’s it. It’s done for you!”
The ‘I Got You’ singer received stitches in hospital after a phone was thrown on stage, splitting her eyebrow, and causing a black eye.
Nicolas Malvagna was later arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree assault as well as second degree aggravated harassment, third degree attempted assault and second-degree harassment.
According to reports, he told police at the time: “I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny.”
Several artists have spoken out about fans throwing things to the stage, including Harry Styles, Drake, Ava Max and Kelsea Ballerini.
Adele previously fumed: “Have you noticed how people are, like, forgetting show etiquette at the moment, throwing (things) onstage? Have you seen it?

The ‘Angels’ hitmaker, 50, is loving his new smile but will have individual ones put in soon.
In an Instagram post, he shared: “So yesterday I went for a consultation for my new teeth. That’s what I thought I was doing. Imagine my surprise when I came out with a full set of brand-new teeth. At least the temporary ones before the individual ones are placed in a month or so.
“I f****** love them.”
The former Take That star destroyed his natural teeth with drug use and opening bottles with them and has bid farewell to his “nubby-yellow-friends”.
He continued: “Anyway, these are my new teeth for a while. Maybe a few of you were fond of the old ones. THEY WERE F*****.
“They served me well, But I absolutely abused them. Opening bottles with them. Espresso staining them. Rubbing coke on them. Not brushing them properly. Clenching them for 3 whole decades.
“We’ve been through a lot together. But now it’s time to move on. Goodbye my little nubby-yellow-friends.”
The ‘Rock DJ’ hitmaker endured addiction following his rise to fame as a teenager but has been sober for almost 25 years, and recently reflected that upon quitting drinking and drugs, he ended up “depressed” and forgot how to be a “human” as he recovered.
He said: “I was ingesting everything I could get my hands on ecstasy, cocaine, drinking. I’m literally drinking like a bottle of vodka a night before going into rehearsals.
“When you stop drinking, you’re left with the person you are. And the person who Í really was, was depressed and isolated. I didn’t know how to be a human.”
These days, the ‘She’s the One’ singer – who opened up about his struggles in a self-titled Netflix documentary – admitted that he has “good days” and “bad days” and whilst he doesn’t actually suffer from bipolar, there is an element of the disorder to the way his mental health fluctuates.
He said: “I’m not bipolar, but there is a sort of semi-bipolaresque element to my mental health. Some days good, some days bad.”

The beauty mogul has celebrated her special day with a trip to Ibiza, and back home, the 68-year-old momager has praised her daughter – whom she has with Caitlyn Jenner – for being an inspiration to everyone and being “compassionate, thoughtful, loving, generous, sensitive and strong”, among other things.
In a lengthy post alongside a series of throwback snaps of Kylie at various ages, she wrote on Instagram: “Happy birthday to my beautiful baby girl @kyliejenner!!!!!! I fell in love with you the moment we met… it was love at first sight! I am so incredibly proud of you and thank God for you every single day. You are the most incredible mommy and I love watching you with your kids each and every day. Kylie’s birthday comes a day after her ex, Travis Scott – with whom she has Stormi, six, and two-year-old Aire – was arrested in Paris after a fight with his bodyguard.
The Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed that the 33-year-old rapper was arrested at the George V hotel in the French capital for assaulting a security guard who attempted to break up the fight.
It said in a statement to NBC News: “I can confirm that on August 9, 2024, police officers were called to the George V hotel and arrested the rapper nicknamed Travis Scott for assaulting a security guard.
“The security guard had intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard. The Paris public prosecutor’s office has referred the case to the 1st district of the judicial police.”
Meanwhile, back in June, Travis – whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II – was arrested in Miami on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing on a property after a warning.
Police set a bond at $650 – $150 for the intoxication charge and $500 for the trespass – which he submitted, the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column reported.
According to local news outlet WSVN, the musician had been on a charter boat in the Miami Beach Marina when the vessel’s owner called police and asked that Travis leave between midnight and 1am.
A police report obtained by TMZ explained police responded to a fight on one of the boats, and when they arrived Travis was arguing with the occupants on one of the yachts, but the person who reported him asked the officers to remove him.
Police started to escort Travis away – allegedly while he yelled obscenities – and took him to his waiting car past the docks, but he then returned five minutes later and was intercepted as he attempted to head back to the boat.
At this point, the ‘Antidote’ rapper is said to have become erratic and belligerent, and subsequently arrested.
He was arrested at 1.17am, half an hour after arriving at the scene, before officially booking him three hours later.

OHMYGOSSIP — Christina Hall is getting her life back on track following her split from estranged husband Josh Hall.
The 43-year-old star – who has Taylor, 13, and son Braydon, eight, with her first husband and former ‘Flip or Flop’ co-host Tarek El Moussa, as well as four-year-old Hudson with second husband Ant Antstead – filed for divorce from the ‘Christina in the Country’ host, 41, in July after almost three years of marriage, and Christina says, a month on, she is finally feeling herself again and has the love of her children.
She wrote on her Instagram Stories: “One month later … I finally have my appetite back. I’m exercising again. My kids are happy and our house feels like home. ‘Those poor kids’ adore me … anyone who knows us for real knows this and that’s what matters.”
Josh “voluntarily left” their Southern California home and it’s said he “never wanted to be famous” in the first place.
A source told Us Weekly: “Josh is sad that the marriage ended this way, but he’s excited to move forward. He voluntarily moved his belongings from his and Christina’s jointly owned property. He never wanted to be famous. This was always for Christina, and he’s happy to go back to living life as he wanted to live it.”
Josh insisted that he preferred “privacy” – especially at such a “life-changing” time.
Sharing a photo of himself with his dog Stella, he wrote on Instagram: “I prefer privacy, especially during something as life changing as a divorce I did not ask for.
“I will not publicly badmouth anyone as people have families, friends and others who respect and love them. Unfortunately, the internet is forever.
“We are real humans, this is our life and I am not here to entertain people I don’t know with my private matters. Those details will be handled fairly behind closed doors with our respective counsels in due time.
“Those who know each of us, know who we are.”
The HGTV star accused Josh of taking $35,000 of her own money, and took to Instagram to hint there had been problems in their relationship for some time.
Christina wrote on Instagram in a white font on a black screen: “Over here waiting for the typical Hired PR rep speech of ‘how I was blind-sided and how I’m working on myself and taking time to heal at her ranch …………. Meanwhile, I’m over here not as nice and quiet as I used to be …..”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lemmy’s ashes have gone on display at Bloodstock Open Air Festival.
The legendary Motörhead and Hawkwind star died in December 2015 aged 70, and as well as a bust of his remains, the Derby heavy metal event, which is taking place at Catton Park in the East Midlands this weekend, has recreated the ‘Ace of Spades’ rocker’s dressing room with his possessions and some photographs.
Festival director Vicky Hungerford told BBC Radio Derby: “When you go in there, it will feel like you’re in the touring dressing room of Lemmy.”
The tribute comes days after Brocarde connected with the pizza-holding ghost of Lemmy at Wacken Open Air Festival.
The spooky singer – who famously married and divorced the ghost of a Victorian soldier – was invited by organisers of the world’s largest heavy metal festival to try and communicate with the spirit of the musician, whose ashes were scattered on the site in Germany last year, and was overcome with emotion when she felt his presence.
Brocarde explained Lemmy came to her as she felt a sadness inside of her, but was bemused to find his spirit riding a black stallion and clutching a slice of pizza.
She said: “His energy is obviously something that hasn’t died, and that’s why he’s still with us today at Wacken.
“There was also something more that Lemmy showed me, something sad, that will no doubt stick with me for a while, but I don’t feel it’s something I want to share for many reasons.
“Lemmy was a star, and an idol to many, but he was a human, and he had a world spinning inside him that few knew about, I noticed that, when I connected with him during the ritual.
“On a lighter note, I wondered why he was holding a slice of pizza, because it’s not the norm when riding a horse.”
Brocarde carried out a seance in front of the festivals’ shrine for the late rock star in the Landgasthof Wacken, with the ritual seeing her surrounded by Lemmy’s possessions and sacred objects including a deer skull, dragon blood sage and a crow’s wing, in front of an alter bearing an Ace of Spades playing card and a bottle of Jack Daniel’s.
But at first, the singer’s usual methods didn’t work.
She said: “I knew I had to come to Wacken to participate in something that had a greater purpose, I was nervous to try to connect with the spirit of Lemmy as he is treasured by many, and I didn’t know how I would deal with it if he had a message for me. I worried about how that could be perceived, I felt the only way to deal with what was revealed to me, is to have a don’t care about what people think attitude, inspired by Lemmy himself.
“I tried to reach him using drowsing rods, but he didn’t want to play by those rules, that was totally Lemmy, and the first time my rods have failed to show any movement at all during a séance.”
Eventually, Brocarde was “completely consumed” with the spirit of the late rocker and received a message from him.
She continued: “Then, I felt my body completely consumed, like I was taken somewhere else, tears were welling in my eyes, he told me that he was still alive. He said the purpose of life is not to die, and he wanted to be alive in death. I felt like those words will be a comfort to many who want to keep his memory alive.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Toni Braxton nearly had a heart attack and needs to have a stint fitted.
The 56-year-old singer had the major health scare two years after her sister Traci’s death from oesophageal cancer in 2022 aged 50 – and didn’t want to tell her family for fear of worrying them.
On the series premiere of ‘The Braxtons’, her sister Trina, 49, said: “In true Toni fashion, asked the family to come to dinner, and she had something to tell us, but this time when she told us that she wanted to talk, the setting of her tone was very melancholy, and I’m really afraid, because Toni had this health scare recently.

Toni had a widowmaker heart attack and if doctors hadn’t “caught it”, she wouldn’t be here to tell the tale.
It happens when a blood clot or plaque completely blocks the left anterior descending (LAD) artery, one of the arteries around the heart.
She shared: “If I had a heart attack I wouldn’t have survived, I wouldn’t be here right now.”
Struggling to hold back the tears, she continued: “They told me your sister was watching over you because they [are] right, you should be dead today. You should not be alive.”
In a confessional, she said: “I had to have a stint put in my heart, which was extremely scary.
“That’s a very scary procedure itself, but when my doctor told me I might not ever be able to do a tour again. Okay? I heard it before, but this was different. They say you may never be able to do another tour because you could have a heart attack.”
Ever since, Toni is “scared every day” that she could have a heart attack.
She admitted: “It’s crazy anxiety. I just think about it all the time… It’s really messed up that I’m scared every day. If I have a heart attack, I won’t survive. I can’t handle even that feeling.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Travis Scott has been released from police custody.
The 33-year-old rapper was arrested in Paris after a fight with his bodyguard on Friday (09.08.24).
The Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed that the 33-year-old rapper was arrested at the George V hotel in the French capital for assaulting a security guard who attempted to break up the fight.
It said in a statement to NBC News: “I can confirm that on August 9, 2024, police officers were called to the George V hotel and arrested the rapper nicknamed Travis Scott for assaulting a security guard.
“The security guard had intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard. The Paris public prosecutor’s office has referred the case to the 1st district of the judicial police.”
However, a representative has since confirmed to PEOPLE: “Travis Scott has been released with no charges.”
Back in June, Travis – whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II – was arrested in Miami on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing on a property after a warning.
Police set a bond at $650 – $150 for the intoxication charge and $500 for the trespass – which he submitted, the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column reported.
According to local news outlet WSVN, the musician had been on a charter boat in the Miami Beach Marina when the vessel’s owner called police and asked that Travis leave between midnight and 1am.
A police report obtained by TMZ explained police responded to a fight on one of the boats, and when they arrived Travis was arguing with the occupants on one of the yachts, but the person who reported him asked the officers to remove him.
Police started to escort Travis away – allegedly while he yelled obscenities – and took him to his waiting car past the docks, but he then returned five minutes later and was intercepted as he attempted to head back to the boat.
At this point, the ‘Antidote’ rapper is said to have become erratic and belligerent, and subsequently arrested.
He was arrested at 1.17am, half an hour after arriving at the scene, before officially booking him three hours later.

OHMYGOSSIP — Celine Dion has condemned Donald Trump’s use of her ‘Titanic’ theme song ‘My Heart Will Go On’ at his Montana rally.
The 56-year-old Canadian singer has called out the former US president for “unauthorised usage” of the video, musical performance, and “likeness” of herself that was used as part of his campaign stop on Friday (09.08.24), as he continues to battle it out with Kamala Harris to be re-elected.
A statement on her official social media channels read: “Today, Celine Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Celine Dion singing “My Heart Will Go On” at a Donald Trump / JD Vance campaign rally in Montana.
“In no way is this use authorized, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use.
“…And really, THAT song? (sic)”
The unauthorised use of the 1998 song comes after Celine fulfilled a “dream” by performing at the Olympics opening ceremony.
The ‘Because You Loved Me’ singer made her long-awaited return to live performing in Paris two weeks ago, and Celine took to social media to express her sense of pride.
Celine – who stopped performing live after she was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a progressive neurological disorder that affects her muscles – wrote on X: “Wow, what a night. Thanks to everyone at @Paris2024 , @Olympics and @Dior who helped make this dream come true. And now, it’s already time to go! I will miss you Paris! – Celine xx… (sic)”
Celine closed the ceremony with a rendition of Edith Piaf’s ‘L’Hymne à l’amour’.
The award-winning singer subsequently took to social media to express her joy and gratitude, admitting that she felt “honoured” to perform at the opening ceremony and hailed Paris as one of her “favourite cities”.
She penned: “I’m honored to have performed tonight, for the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony, and so full of joy to be back in one of my very favorite cities! Most of all, I’m so happy to be celebrating these amazing athletes, with all their stories of sacrifice and determination, pain and perseverance. OHMYGOSSIP — Blake Lively has commented on “how terrifying” the foiled Taylor Swift Vienna concert terror attack was.
The 34-year-old Grammy winner made the decision to cancel her three Austrian gigs after authorities uncovered a planned terror attack at the Ernst Happel Stadium and Blake – who is married to ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ star Ryan Reynolds – is among those to react to the ordeal.
The 36-year-old actress, who has been to see the ‘Shake It Off’ singer on her ‘Eras Tour’, told Access Hollywood: “Oh, my gosh. I mean, how terrifying.
“But thank goodness that they are completely on top of that.”
Officials revealed a 17-year-old boy suspected to be behind the plot started working at the arena days before the cancellation.
It’s said he was employed by a facilities company providing services at the stadium during the shows before he was arrested by special police forces nearby.
A second suspect, aged 19, was also arrested.
According to Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, head of the Directorate of State Security and Intelligence, the suspect wanted to take his own life and kill “a large crowd at the concert”.
Weapons were found outside the stadium, while Haijawi-Pirchner said the older suspect was “clearly radicalised in the direction of the Islamic State (IS) and thinks it is right to kill infidels”.
In a statement posted on Instagram on Wednesday (07.08.24), concert organisers Barracuda Music said: “Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour Vienna shows cancelled due to government officials’ confirmation of planned terrorist attack.
“With confirmation from government officials of a planned terrorist attack at Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety.”
The police investigation centred on the town of Ternitz, where one of the suspects lives with their family. The 19-year-old suspect was arrested before their home was searched and almost half of the town was evacuated.
Ruf confirmed during the press conference that investigators found “chemical substances” that were tested.
What’s more, the authorities claimed to have unearthed detailed plans of the proposed terror attack.
Taylor was due to perform at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna on August 8, 9, and 10, with many fans travelling from overseas to see the pop star in action.
