SNL star Will Forte reveals a spirit told him he would be ‘stabbed’ to death

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Forte was told by a spirit that he would be stabbed to death in his seventies.
The 54-year-old comedian has recalled his surreal experience using a Ouija board and being left mind-blown when it gave him specific answers to questions that “nobody else” would know.
Things turned “really kind of scary” when the spiritualist tool predicted his murder.
Speaking on the ‘Woo Woo’ podcast, he said: “I would ask questions of this Ouija board that nobody else would know the answers to, and it would get the answers correct. And so I was pretty blown.
“I was thinking, like, is there a way that my hands are moving it because I know the answer? … I was trying not to push it all, but it was pretty nuts — like my grandma’s middle name, that kind of stuff.
“I would be putting the spirit down, trying to get him really angry. I’m sure I told him he had a small penis or something like that.
“It really did kind of scary. I found out that I was going to die at the age of 73 by stabbing. I’ve got 19 years left.”
The ‘Saturday Night Live’ star noted that the incident still crosses his mind from “time to time”, and quipped that he might start wearing bodysuits to protect himself when he reaches 72.
Away from the spotlight, Will tied the knot with Olivia Modling in 2021 just months after they welcomed daughter Zoe, three, together but explained how preparing for the big day was quite “stressful” because it all took place during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Will – who has since welcomed daughter Cecilia with Olivia – told PEOPLE: “It was just a delightful day.
“My parents were totally surprised. It was so stressful, the two weeks where we were planning. I can’t imagine having a year or more to stew over wedding plans.”

Luke Evans admits he’s been ‘through a lot’ being gay in a ‘very religious family’

OHMYGOSSIP — Luke Evans has been “through a lot” with his religious family after coming out as gay.
The 45-year-old actor was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness but formally left the religion as a teenager so he could pursue a career in performing and explained that “respect and understanding” have been key to maintaining a relationship with his family, especially when it comes to his sexuality.
Speaking on UK TV show ‘Lorraine’, he said: “I just realised I had a different life to lead. I was brought up in a religious, very religious, family. I’m very close to my mum and dad but the way they were living their life and what I wanted to do with my life were very, very different.
“At 16, I made the decision to leave home and start again almost. I sort of lost all connections to my friends who were all [Jehovah’s] Witnesses and started another life.
“You can’t be gay. [My mum and dad] are incredible human beings, we have been through a lot together. What it has taken is a lot of respect, a lot of love, a lot of time, understanding, a lot of talking and respecting each other’s journeys and choices we have made. I’m happy that they’re happy, and they’re happy that I’m happy. That’s all that matters.”
The ‘Beauty and the Beast’ star – who appeared in productions of musicals such as ‘Miss Saigon’ and ‘Rent’ before forging a career in Hollywood – has now put pen to paper for his memoir and explained that he “never planned” for a lot of his success to happen.
He said: “I think that’s one thing that people will take from the book, these moments happen. You don’t even realise they are sliding doors. You jump on them, or you miss them. I think as you get older, sometimes they don’t happen as often so you’ve got to be really aware of opportunities when they arise.
“That’s why I called the book ‘My Unexpected Journey’, this wasn’t supposed to happen. I didn’t have any plan, I really didn’t!”

J.K. Simmons reveals his top tip for a long marriage after 28 years married

OHMYGOSSIP — J.K. Simmons says the secret to his long marriage to Michelle Schumacher is the art of listening.
The ‘Red One’ star, 69, has been married to the 58-year-old film director – with whom he has son Joe, 25, and daughter Olivia, 22 – for almost three decades, having tied the knot in 1996, and he has one tip for maintaining a happy marriage.
He told PEOPLE at the premiere of the new Christmas movie – in which he plays Santa Claus – in New York City this week that his advice is: “Be nice. Be on the nice list. And listen.”
However, the ‘Whiplash’ star insists it’s not always easy to listen.
He said: “None of us do that all the time and it’s still a work in progress with me, but try to listen, try to really listen.”
Simmons recently recalled the moment he first clapped eyes on “beautiful, petite blonde” Michelle, in 1991, while working on a production of ‘Peter Pan’.
The ‘Jennifer’s Body’ actor didn’t want to make a fool of himself by “leering” all over her.
He told the publication: “I rented a car. I don’t know where I was going but I was just leaving the parking lot, and I saw our dance captain walking with this beautiful, petite blonde.
“I just tried my best not to be the idiot who’s craning his neck leering at this beautiful young woman.”
It turned out, she fancied him too.
Recalling an awkward dressing room encounter when she was in her dance underwear, he shared: “I knocked and [she said] ‘Come in.’ She was, like most dancers, dressed in her dance underwear.
“I tried to be Mr. Cool and wish her a good show and I turned around and made my smooth exit by hugely stubbing my big toe on the door of her dressing room, squealing like a four year old.”
Simmons laughed: “Somehow, she still found me attractive.”
He remembered: “Much, much, much later, Michelle told me that she had said, ‘Oh, who’s that?’
“The dance captain had said, ‘Oh, that’s J.K. He’s straight. He’s our Captain Hook.’”

Kyle Richards in ‘no rush’ to divorce Mauricio Umansky

OHMYGOSSIP — Kyle Richards is in “no rush” to divorce Mauricio Umansky.
The 55-year-old reality star split from the 54-year-old businessman in 2023 after almost 25 years of marriage but admitted that their separation has been more of a “psychological thing” for them than anything else, so they aren’t quite ready to start legal proceedings.
She told E! News: “We just haven’t felt the rush to do that. I think it’s been more of a psychological thing for us and for our family. We’ve been getting along and there was no pressure from either side that we needed to do that.”
Kyle was urged to divorce Mauricio by her ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ co-stars, and although she believes that they were coming from a “good place” with their advice, she was not really paying any attention to it because she is in a “unique situation”.
She said: “The women were giving me advice based on their experiences and their life and sort of projecting, which I understand. I think they were coming from a good place, but I also feel like every marriage, every separation is different.
“I have a very unique situation, so I wasn’t really listening to their advice.”
Kyle – who has Farrah, 36, with her first husband Guraish Aldjufrie, as well as Alexia, 28, Sophia, 24, and 16-year-old Portia with Mauricio – was thought to be dating country singer Morgan Wade, 29, in the wake of her split but things appeared to have fizzled out and they decide to be “good friends”‘.
But the ‘Halloween Ends’ actress shared that her children are happy for their parents to start looking for love elsewhere again.
She said: “They very much want me to move on and be happy. If that’s moving on, they want me to move on. They don’t want me just sitting at home. I have their blessing and I’m very grateful for that.”

Armie Hammer’s mom got him a vasectomy for his birthday

OHMYGOSSIP — Armie Hammer’s mom got him a vasectomy for his birthday.
The ‘Call Me By Your Name’ actor – who has two children, Harper, nine, and Ford, seven, with his ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers – has revealed the bizarre gift Dru Hammer got him for his 38th birthday in August.
Speaking to his mom on the second episode of a two-part chat on his new podcast ‘Armie HammerTime Podcast’, she said: “Let’s talk about what I gave you for your birthday this year.”
She continued: “I call Armie, and I go, ‘What would you like for your birthday this year?’ He was like, ‘I don’t know. Maybe money. Whatever.’ And I was like, ‘I believe I’m going to give you a vasectomy.'”
Armie then had to deal with an embarrassing encounter with the receptionist when he came to pay for the procedure to prevent him having any more children because he had to explain that his mother was footing the bill for his birthday.
He recounted: “I go to a doctor’s office, and I go, ‘I’m here to schedule a vasectomy.’
“He was like, ‘Are you sure you wanna do this?’ I’m like, ‘I have two beautiful kids. I don’t want any more kids. I’m good to go.’
“They try to talk you out of it. I’m like, ‘You’re not going to talk me out of it. I’m done. I’m good.’”
He continued: “The receptionist was like, ‘Are you gonna be putting this on insurance?’
I go, ‘Actually, I don’t have insurance.’ She goes, ‘What?’ I go, ‘Yeah, I haven’t had insurance for years.’ She was like, ‘Oh, OK. Are you going to be putting it on a credit card?’ And I go, ‘My credit cards won’t cover this. My mother’s going to be calling you and she’s going to be paying for it.’
“And she was looking down and she [looks up] and goes, ‘What?’ And I go, ‘Yes, my mother gave me this as a birthday present.'”
He added: “It was just one of those things … you could tell she was hearing something and like [thinks], ‘I’ve never heard… what are you talking about?’ So yeah, my mom got me a vasectomy for my birthday.”
Dru, who is Catholic and fell out with her son over her strict religious views in the past, explained the reason behind the gift: “I know there are these young girls that would love to have Armie Hammer’s baby.”
Her son quipped: “Maybe when I had money they would!”
The mention of him not having any money is in reference to his Hollywood career going down the drain in 2021 after being accused of physical and sexual abuse.
He vehemently denied the allegations against him and cleared his name in May.
Addressing the ordeal, Dru said: “I say this all the time: ‘My son was not criminally wrong. If there was a smidgeon of things that were wrong that you did, as far as a rape accusation, they would have nailed you.”
Commenting on the rumours of him having cannibal fantasies, his mom said: “I even called you one time. I was like, ‘Let me just get this straight.’ I go, ‘Are there any women out there with limbs or ribs missing?’ That’s what I want to know as a mother. Because end of conversation if there are limbs or ribs missing.”
Talking about the alleged messages he sent about his fantasies, his mother said: “I think you learned not to put stupid things in DMs. No one was eaten, no one was raped, but you were stupid.”
Armie said: “I was definitely stupid.”

Donny Osmond admits he might not have ‘survived’ showbiz without family

OHMYGOSSIP — Donny Osmond isn’t sure he “would have survived show business” without his family.
The 66-year-old singer shot to fame alongside his brothers as part of the Osmonds in the early 1970s before breaking out in his own right and compared his situation to that of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, who became known around the world in a similar manner as part of The Jackson 5.
Speaking on the new MTV documentary ‘Larger than Life: Reign of the Boybands’, he said: “I think having a very strong father figure was very important for our success, however it can go a little overboard.
“If you look at the Osmonds and the Jackson 5, the comparisons of the two families are just uncanny.
“There are nine children in each family. Mike and I are both the seventh child of nine. Our mothers’ birthdays are on the same day. Michael and I are the same age.
“Mike would tell me a lot of stories about [his father] Joe. You look at the dangers of show business in general, whether you’re a single artist or a boy band.
“I don’t know if I could have been able to survive show business if I didn’t have my family.”
Following his rise to stardom, Donny went on to form a duo with his sister Marie and the pair later fronted a talk show series before launching a Las Vegas residency.
‘Billie Jean’ hitmaker Michael went on to become one of the best-selling music artists in history with over 500 million records sold worldwide but endured a string of personal problems over the years and died in 2009 at the age of 50.
Donny recalled: “We would get together and just laugh and reminisce about the comparisons and the similarities. Michael said something to me one day and he said, ‘Donnie, you’re the only person on this planet that knows what my childhood is like.’”

Sir Elton John changed his diet following health scare

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Elton John has overhauled his diet after suffering a health scare.
The 77-year-old singer has made a concerted effort to control his blood sugar levels in recent times, after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in the early 2000s and battling a “severe eye infection” earlier this year.
Elton said on ‘Ruthie’s Table 4’ podcast: “I can have an apple, I can eat a bit of melon. As long as you’re sensible about it, it doesn’t shoot your blood sugar up. But what I crave is chocolate and ice cream – I can’t have any ice cream.”
Despite this, Elton revealed that his dream meal would still be full of sugar-filled desserts.
The award-winning star – who is married to filmmaker David Furnish – said: “If I had a death row meal, it wouldn’t contain anything except sweets, because I can’t eat them now. So, I’d have ice cream, doughnuts, apple pie, rhubarb crumble.”
Elton has dealt with various health issues over the years, including having surgery for prostate cancer and battling a “severe eye infection”.
The singer actually detailed his most-recent problem in an Instagram post in September.
He said: “Over the summer, I’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye. I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye.
“I am so grateful for the excellent team of doctors and nurses and my family, who have taken such good care of me over the last several weeks. I have been quietly spending the summer recuperating at home, and am feeling positive about the progress I have made in my healing and recovery thus far.
“With love and gratitude,
“Elton John.”

“I think in that moment, we both realised that we had something, like an immediate sort of connection.”
Ariana also relished the experience of working with Cynthia on the movie.
She said: “I think the thing that’s been most special about it is that, from the moment we met, our first talk, we had a really honest agreement and commitment to take care of each other and to always be honest with each other and make space for the feelings that come up along the way and just take care of each other as friends.
“That just grew and grew and grew deeper and deeper as the process went on and still is. It’s just like really, really beautiful and legit. I’m so grateful.”
Earlier this month, Ethan Slater also praised Ariana, describing his co-star as an “incredible” performer.
The 32-year-old actor stars alongside Ariana, his real-life girlfriend, and Cynthia in the new movie, and he hailed his co-stars as vocal “powerhouses”.
Ethan told ‘Extra’: “They’re amazing, they’re powerhouses, they’re like voices of a generation.
“Everybody knows what incredible singers they are. You think they’re really different singers and then they sing together and it sounds like one voice, which is like a beautiful metaphor for them in this movie.”

Young women shouldn’t be afraid of ageing, says Padma Lakshmi

OHMYGOSSIP — Padma Lakshmi thinks women “shouldn’t be afraid of ageing”.
The 54-year-old beauty has enjoyed huge successes in recent years, starring in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and launching her own lingerie collection, and Padma has now observed that life just gets “better and better and better”.
She told PEOPLE: “I’m here to tell younger women that you shouldn’t be afraid of ageing. You shouldn’t be afraid that time is running out.
“You should know that it just gets better and better and better because you learn from life. You become experienced.”
Padma has noticed changes in her figure over recent years. However, she doesn’t have any desire to return to her 20s.
She said: “I wouldn’t go back to my 20s if you made me a billionaire.
“Would I like the thighs of my 20s? Of course I would. I would also like my pre-breastfed boobs back, but that’s okay. Those are small prices to pay for what I have gained in the interim. So, I’m going to enjoy all of my success as much as I can because it was hard to get here.”
Earlier this year, Padma admitted that she feels “more confident” than ever.
The TV star is happier today than she was at the height of her modelling career – despite “not being as thin” as she once was.
Padma told the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column: “I’m more confident now, physically and otherwise. And I would never go back to my 20s, even if it meant I had a body that was more fit and skinny and tight and and high in all the right places. You know, I look OK now!”

Gillian Anderson recalls feeling overwhelmed amid X Files success

OHMYGOSSIP — Gillian Anderson felt overwhelmed by the success of ‘The X Files’.
The 56-year-old actress played FBI agent Dana Scully in the hit sci-fi show, but Gillian has admitted that she struggled to cope with the pressure amid her sudden rise to stardom.
Gillian- who was just 25 when the series premiered in 1993 – said on the ‘Fail Better’ podcast: “I do remember times where I just bawled my eyes out.
“It’s hard under those circumstances.”
The actress starred alongside David Duchovny on the hit TV show, and she recalled them both becoming “uber adults very quickly”.
She said: “It required us to be, you know, uber adults very quickly. And I have to imagine that under those extreme circumstances that the only thing that at times is gonna wanna come out is actually our [inner] child and not our adult at all.”
‘The X Files’ was a hugely successful and influential TV series, but the show’s main stars often clashed behind the scenes.
And at one stage, Chris Carter – the series creator – suggested an innovative solution to end their off-screen feud.
David, 64 – who played the part of FBI agent Fox Mulder on the show – shared: “I think we were kind of butting heads so early on in the first season that Chris asked us if we would go into fake couples therapy. Would we go into, like, TV character couple therapy?
“I remember sitting in his office with [Gillian], and Chris is like, ‘Yeah, do you guys wanna go, like, into therapy?’ And I was like, ‘You mean as Mulder and Scully? I’m confused…’”

Nicole Kidman recalls feeling ‘intimidated’ by Spellbound experience

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Kidman found singing in ‘Spellbound’ to be a “terribly intimidating” experience.
The Oscar-winning actress worked with the likes of Rachel Zegler, John Lithgow, Jenifer Lewis, Tituss Burgess, Nathan Lane, and Javier Bardem on the animated movie, and Nicole has admitted that she struggled to keep pace with some of her co-stars.
Nicole, 57 – who is married to music star Keith Urban – told ‘Extra’: “It was terribly intimidating, because Rachel has such a divine voice and Nathan and everyone, Jenifer, I’m just like, ‘What?’ It was more like I was trying to keep up.”
Despite this, Nicole relished being part of the female-led project, which was directed by Vicky Jenson.
She explained: “It was so good because of it being helmed by a woman, and I’m on this mission to have women in all these places of directing all sorts of films, all sorts of genres, including animation, so it was great for Vicky to own this space.”
Nicole also stars in ‘Babygirl’, the new erotic thriller film, and the actress has admitted that she hopes it proves to be a “liberating story” for women.
The Hollywood star relished the experience of working with Halina Reijn, who wrote and directed the project.
She said at the Venice Film Festival: “This is one woman’s story and this is, I hope, a very liberating story.
“It’s told by a woman, through her gaze – Halina wrote it and she directed it – and that’s to me what made it so unique because suddenly I was going to be in the hands of a woman with this material. It was very dear to our shared instincts and very freeing.”

Brittany Cartwright: This has been the hardest year of my life

OHMYGOSSIP — Brittany Cartwright had endured the “hardest year” of her life.

In her podcast appearance, Brittany claimed that Jax didn’t change “at all” during his spell in rehab.
The 45-year-old reality star spent time at a mental health facility earlier this year, but Brittany doesn’t feel it’s had any impact on him and she doubts whether he even has the capacity to change.
Brittany – who has Cruz, three, with her estranged husband – said on the ‘Hot Mic’ podcast: “I don’t feel like he changed at all in those 30 days. And the reason, I mean, I’m sure it’ll be on the show as well, but, you know, a lot of rage texting and stuff was still going on the entire time that he was in rehab.
“So, for me, I was just noticing like, this is just going to be constant. Like, if you’re in therapy seven hours a day, and you’re still finding time to call me names and cuss me out? And send me rage texts? Then you’re obviously not ever gonna change.”

Dwayne Johnson hopes Moana 2 inspires young girls

OHMYGOSSIP — Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson hopes to inspire young girls to follow their dreams.
The 52-year-old actor stars in the new Disney animation ‘Moana 2’ and Dwayne observed that the movie centres on the theme of “female empowerment”.
The wrestler-turned-actor told E! News: “I think that the main thing about ‘Moana’ is this idea of female empowerment, and this idea that we always say, ‘What’s it like being on the reef and looking beyond the reef?'”
Dwayne stressed that the movie’s central message is universal, “even if you’re not part of Polynesian culture”.
The actor – who has Jasmine, eight, and Tiana, six, with his wife Lauren Hashian, as well as Simone, 23, with Dany Garcia – explained: “It’s this idea that what people like to do – especially to young girls – is kind of constrain them, and pretzel them into, ‘You can only be so much.’ But in ‘Moana 2’, you can actually be anything you want.”
Dwayne first found fame as a wrestler, before he switched his focus towards Hollywood.
The ‘Red One’ star is now one of the best-paid actors in the movie business – but Dwayne previously admitted he will “always be a pro wrestler at heart”.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I love it. I love what I do, I love this world of wrestling, I love pro wrestling.
“I was born into pro wrestling, I will always be a pro wrestler at heart and in attitude too.”
Dwayne returned to the WWE on a part-time basis in 2023, and he’s relished the opportunity.
The actor – who actually joined the board of WWE’s parent company, TKO – said: “I’m so grateful to come back in this capacity that I could come back and give to this business and give to the men and women in that locker room, and try and do my little part to do this with everything and create greater opportunities for all of them.”
