OHMYGOSSIP — Billy Ray Cyrus’ ex-wife Firerose has undergone a double mastectomy after claiming her surgery was delayed due to their divorce.
The 35-year-old singer has the BRCA1 gene, which means she is at higher risk of developing cancer, and she has now had the preventative cancer surgery.
She captioned a picture from her hospital bed on Instagram: “With God on our side we’re stronger than we can even imagine.
“Thank you so very much for all the prayers. I deeply appreciate the outpouring of love and support.”
Firerose filed legal papers saying Billy Ray filed for divorce in May, one day before she was set to undergo the double mastectomy.
In her complaint, she said was diagnosed as a carrier of the BRCA1 gene mutation in early 2020 and her doctors “highly recommended” she undergo the procedure and a breast reconstruction in March, with the singer scheduling her first surgery for May 24.
Billy Ray claims Firerose has known about being a carrier for the BRCA1 gene mutation for four years, but he was not made aware of it until after their marriage.
A representative for Firerose told People the only people backing Billy Ray’s “false claims” are “on his payroll”, making their “credibility questionable”.
They added the “audacity to question a BRCA-positive women’s decision to undergo a preventative surgery” shows the “cruel manipulation” to which Firerose was subjected by Billy Ray.
Firerose claims the singer also “continuously launched verbal assaults” at her while threatening to kick her out of their home and file for divorce.
She claimed the performer placed her into “an emotional and psychological prison”.
On June 13, Billy Ray filed an emergency motion seeking a temporary restraining order that would stop his ex from accessing his personal and business credit cards and account – alleging she spent nearly $100,000 of his income on “unauthorised” purchases after they split.
Firerose said there was “no emergency” and that she has had access to his credit card for the past two years.

OHMYGOSSIP — Keith Urban has hailed wife Nicole Kidman’s decision to do the erotic thriller ‘Babygirl’ “incredibly brave”.
The 57-year-old actress plays a high-ranking CEO in film, which she recently branded her most “exposing” project to date, and now her other half has had his say.
He simply told ‘The Sunday Project’: “She’s incredibly brave with her choices.”
She recently told Vanity Fair: “I’ve made some films that are pretty exposing, but not like this.”
Nicole feels particularly anxious about her sex scenes.

Nicole was nervous about watching the movie at the Venice Film Festival.

The ‘Big Little Lies’ star hopes the flick proves to be a “liberating story” for women.
She said at the Venice Film Festival: “This is one woman’s story and this is, I hope, a very liberating story.
“It’s told by a woman, through her gaze – Halina [Reijn] wrote it and she directed it – and that’s to me what made it so unique because suddenly I was going to be in the hands of a woman with this material. It was very dear to our shared instincts and very freeing.”
Nicole also praised the film’s director for helping her to feel comfortable on set.
She said: “I knew she wasn’t going to exploit me. However anyone interprets that, I didn’t feel exploited. I felt very much a part of it.
“There was enormous caretaking by all of us, we were all very gentle with each other and helped each other. It felt very authentic, protected and, at the same time, real.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez is feeling “unbothered” and “at peace” after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck.
The singer/actress split from the Hollywood actor in April, and she filed for divorce on August 20 – the date of their second wedding anniversary – and now she has reflected on her first summer as a single woman since the break-up in a post on Instagram in which she shared snaps from the last few months.
Jennifer captioned the post: “Oh, it was a summer”.
The snaps included pictures of the ‘Jenny From The Block’ star spending time with her 16-year-old twins Max and Emme – from her marriage to Marc Anthony – as well as a message which read: “Everything is unfolding in divine order”.
She also added a picture of a woman wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the words: “She’s in bloom and unbothered out of reach and at peace”.
Other pictures included a bubble bath, a kitten and a snap of Jennifer eating ice cream during a trip to the Hamptons in July.
The 55-year-old pop superstar was engaged to Hollywood actor Ben in the early 2000s, but the relationship ended shortly before they were due to get married.
They got back together in 2021 before tying the knot in two ceremonies in 2022 – one in Las Vegas and one in Georgia. The divorce filing came exactly two years after the couple’s extravagant second bash on August 20, 2022.
The paperwork lists the official date of their separation as April 26, 2024.
A source previously told PEOPLE that Jennifer took the move to file for divorce because she knows it’s time to “move on” but she’s still very “sad” that the marriage is over.
The insider explained: “[She knows] it’s time to move on” for various reasons … She’s very disappointed and sad, but Ben hasn’t given her any signs that he wants to continue their marriage. OHMYGOSSIP — Bindi Irwin’s daughter Grace will “probably” be her only child.
The 26-year-old TV star – whose father was the late ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve Irwin – welcomed her little girl in March 2021 and she has now opened up about her future plans during a YouTube question and answer sessions with fans admitting she may not have another child with her husband Chandler Powell.
After being asked whether they are planning to have anymore kids, Bindi – who has suffered from endometriosis – said: “I really appreciate everybody who’s curious to see if we will have another child, but I do just want to send it out there that remember to be careful when you ask this question because you never know what’s happening in someone’s life.
“In a family’s world, everything may seem fine on the outside, and on the inside, their own personal journey might have been filled with turmoil and challenges, that you know, you can’t even fathom …
“[I appreciate] the kindness and good intent behind it [but] it’s also a really tricky question for many, many people who maybe can’t have another baby [or] can’t have a baby at all.
“We feel very lucky to have Grace. She is our beautiful girl, but she will probably be our one child. So she will be our one child.”
She added: “Maybe we will be blessed with another little one down the road. That would be incredible. But, yeah, who knows?”
In the session, Chandler also tried to answer the question – revealing he believes it is a “miracle” they were able to have Grace.
He said: “We get asked this question a lot. And Bindi, a lot of you may already know, she went through a big journey with endometriosis. And basically it was an absolute miracle that we had Grace.
“We love Grace so much and are revelling in every little moment we have with her, with our little miracle baby. So we are so happy with our little family at three.”
After welcoming Grace, Bindi later underwent underwent explorative surgery after battling through more than a decade of pain and extreme fatigue with doctors finally concluding she was suffering from endometriosis – which causes tissue similar to the lining of the uterus to grow in other places.
She later explained the surgery had found found 37 lesions and a cyst and she felt as if she had finally been given “validation”.
In a post on social media, she wrote: “For 10yrs I’ve struggled with insurmountable fatigue, pain and nausea. Trying to remain a positive person and hide the pain has been a very long road.
“These last 10yrs have included many tests, doctors visits, scans, etc. A doctor told me it was simply something you deal with as a woman and I gave up entirely, trying to function through the pain …
“I decided to undergo surgery for endometriosis … Every part of my life was getting torn apart because of the pain. To cut a long story short, they found 37 lesions, some very deep and difficult to remove, a chocolate cyst.
“[The doctor’s] first words to me when I was in recovery were, ‘How did you live with this much pain?; Validation for years of pain is indescribable.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Artem Chigvintsev made the call to emergency services that led to his arrest.
The ‘Dancing with the Stars’ professional – who has four-year-old son Matteo with wife Nikki Garcia – was arrested by the Napa County Sheriff’s Office last week on suspicion of domestic violence, and audio of a 911 call obtained by TMZ featured a dispatcher saying the 42-year-old dancer had alleged his spouse had thrown her shoes at him.
The clip featured the dispatcher saying Artem’s call “initially came in as requesting medical, but now he is stating he got into an argument with his wife and his wife threw shoes at RP [reporting party].
“There is a child on scene. Medical en route.
“There’s an active 415 [disturbing the peace] in the background responsible.”
But the dancer then stated he no longer needed medical assistance, with the dispatcher confirming: “RP is stating no medical is needed now.”
Artem was booked on a charge of corporal injury to a spouse and released later in the day on $25,000 bond.
On Friday (30.08.24), Nikki appealed for privacy.
Her representative said in a statement: “This is a private matter, and Nikki asks for privacy for her and her family at this time.”
The alleged incident came just days after the couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary.
The ‘Total Bellas’ star shared a video of clips from their five-year relationship, alongside the lyrics to Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ in the caption.

OHMYGOSSIP — Leo Sayer has overcome terrifying health problems and now has “three stents” in his heart to keep his arteries open.
The 76-year-old musician has opened up about his troubles – which included a five-week stay in hospital last year as he battled an infection – and revealed he’s overcome heart issues and undergone knee replacement surgery in recent years as well as battling irritable bowel syndrome.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I’ve got three stents in the heart. I’ve got a partial kneecap replacement. I’ve got an irritable bowel. But basically, I’m good.
“I’ve still got the voice and I’ve still got the hair. So what else is there, really?
“I can move about a little bit on stage. They see me hobble about, you know, in my humble way. And they say, ‘Well, he’s still alive’.”
He added: “I’ve outlived my dad. He died at 74 and he had a pretty full head of hair. So I guess it’s in the genes.”
Leo is preparing for a major comeback in coming months with plans to release an autobiography, a new album and a TV documentary while he’s also hoping to land a spot at Glastonbury Festival next year.
He added: “It would be a great denouement of the career to do something like that.”
Leo’s ill health last year prompted him to cancel a slew of gigs in the UK after he became unwell during a trip to Australia – telling fans he was unable to fly because of “kidney, bladder and prostrate complications”.
In a post on Facebook, he wrote: “I haven’t posted anything publicly about this before but I couldn’t fly or make the recent shows in the UK as I became very ill just before the trip.
“I have been in hospital here for the last 3 weeks in Australia with kidney, bladder and prostrate complications.
“It all happened at the last moment, so it was too late to warn anyone. Many thanks to Butlins and Tony Denton for making replacement arrangements for these shows.
“I’m so sorry to have disappointed my fans but these things can happen to us 75 year olds! (sic) … I’m still in hospital now but well on the mend. I will take a necessary short break from activities and be back fighting for shows in 2024. – particularly my UK and Ireland tour next autumn.

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Sheen feels “sad” that he will lose time with his young daughters after becoming a dad again in his 50s.
The 55-year-old actor is dad to actress Lily Sheen, 25, with his ex Kate Beckinsale as well as two young daughters – aged five and two – with his current partner Anna Lundberg and Michael fears being an older dad will rob him of many years with his girls.
He told the Guardian newspaper: “It makes me sad, thinking about the time I won’t have with them.”
Michael went on to add that being an older dad is also much more tiring, saying: “My body feels very old. But everything else feels much younger. I’m 55 and it’s knackering running around after little kids.
“Just physically, it’s very demanding. And I’m at a point in my life where I’m aware of my physical limitations now. But in other ways it’s completely liberating, and I’m able to appreciate it more now.”
Michael and his ex Kate co-parented Lily after splitting up when she was young, and he admits the experience taught him he wanted to be around more for his younger kids.
He told the publication: “I’m around more now. That’s a big part of it. When Lily was young, I was in my early 30s and doing films for the first time, so Kate would stay in Los Angeles with Lily and I would go off and do whatever.
“I don’t know that she [Kate] resented it. Kate was doing better than me in terms of profile at the time, so it was different. Given that we then split up and I saw Lily even less, I very much regretted being away as much.
“So this time I wanted to make sure that wasn’t the case. That’s partly why I’ve set up a Welsh production company. I don’t want to work away from them as much.”

The ‘Sin City’ actress told fans she has been working on the “project of [her] dreams” and had pretended to her mom and dad, Mark and Catherine, that she’d help them work on the property so they could sell it to fund her grandmother’s medical costs, only to later reveal she was keeping it in the family.
Sharing a video of her announcement to Instagram, Jessica captioned the video: “Almost three years ago, I started the project of my dreams… I surprised my parents by buying them a house!! Now, it wasn’t just any house — it was extra sentimental as it was my grandfather’s house that my father grew up in.
“After my grandfather passed away, my parents were planning on selling the house in order to pay for my grandmother’s medical bills. Well… I pretended like I was going to help them flip it before selling when in reality, I had planned to buy it for them all along.(sic)”
Jessica explained in the video the family home, which is situated in Claremont, around 40 minutes outside of Los Angeles, was going to be “put up for sale” as her grandma requires 24-hour care, but she updated the property with her ‘Honest Renovations’ co-host Lizzy Mathis and a family friend and contractor Tinku.
The 43-year-old actress told her parents: “The last piece of the puzzle is I have been trying to figure out how to tell you guys that I’m gonna buy you guys this house. So don’t buy it yourself.”
Jessica then hugged her emotional parents and said: “Now the house that you grew up in, Dad, is yours,”
Mark told his daughter her grandfather would “be proud” of her.
He added: “I know he’d be really proud of my baby girl. I’m able to live in the house and hopefully make him proud.”
The Honest Company founder admitted watching the reveal again made her emotional.

OHMYGOSSIP — Cat Deeley never takes her children “for granted” because she feels lucky to have been able to have become a first-time mum at 39.
The 47-year-old TV presenter is mum to sons, Milo, eight, and James, six, with her husband Patrick Kielty and Cat has revealed she wants to make sure she’s around for them when they are growing up.
She told the Sunday Times newspaper; “I was an older mother, 39 when I had Milo. Because I didn’t know if I was going to have children, I don’t take them for granted. I want to be there for them.”
Cat and Patrick started their family while they were living in the US, but they recently moved back to the UK and now live in London and she now admits she found the move “really hard”.
However, Cat insists the move was necessary because she felt their adopted hometown of Los Angeles was becoming increasingly unsafe.
She explained: “It doesn’t feel as safe as it used to be. There’s an edge, which wasn’t there before. The health system is failing miserably. After the pandemic there are lots of vulnerable people with severe mental health issues that have just fallen through the net.”
Cat was also disturbed after Patrick and Milo were caught up in a shooting at the Century City Mall in LA and it made her more aware of the country’s issues with gun violence. She added: “I found that [the mall shooting] really scary. Then we’d go to look at schools and they say, ‘This is the safe room and this is the drill if we have a live shooter on the premises.’ It was very, very difficult.”
Cat previously opened up about the mall incident, telling You magazine: ” They shut down the centre. I got a call from Paddy, saying, ‘They’re taking us out through the fire exits but nobody can get to their car. If we walk to a junction, can you come and get us?’
“He wanted to keep Milo calm, so I didn’t understand the enormity of what was happening. As I was driving I began to see helicopters, news vans, firemen and SWAT squads. It makes me go funny now. It was terrifying.”
Asked what they were like when she found them by the roadside, Cat replied: “Paddy was shaken by it, more than Milo, who was hot and cranky but didn’t properly understand.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Angelina Jolie stopped singing after an ex criticised her voice.
The 49-year-old actress – who was previously married to Johnny Lee Miller, Billy Bob Thornton and Brad Pitt – admitted her role as opera singer Maria Callas in biopic ‘Maria’ was challenging because she had to overcome her fears about airing her vocals in public.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “It was an out-of-body experience because I don’t sing.
“I had somebody in my life who was not kind to me about singing. It was a relationship I was in. And so I just assumed I couldn’t really sing.
“I’d been to theatre school, so it was weird that it even had an effect on me. I just kind of adapted to this person’s opinion. So it took me getting past a lot of things to start singing.”
Angelina – who has Maddox, 23, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, with Brad – recently thanked her sons for helping ease her nerves about singing in the film.
Speaking at a press conference for the movie at the Venice Film Festival last week, she said: “I was terribly nervous; I spent almost seven months training. My first time singing, I remember being so nervous. My sons were there and they helped to block the door [so] that nobody else was coming in, and I was shaky.
“And [director Pablo Larraín], in his decency, started me in a small room and ended me in La Scala. So he gave me time to grow. I was frightened to live up to [Callas].”
Angelina joked that, after making the movie, she might even get involved in karaoke nights in the future.
Asked if she has a favourite karaoke song, she quipped: “I didn’t sing before this [movie] so I haven’t done karaoke, but now maybe I have a few!”

The 41-year-old actor has revealed he never really shakes off characters he’s previously played and often delves back into them when he is bored – revealing he will keep himself entertained on a train journey by becoming his character from ‘The Crown’ or imagining himself back in the role of ‘Doctor Who’ while he’s soaking in the tub.
He told the Sunday Times newspaper: “You feel like a berk but it can be really entertaining. When life’s boring you switch into some other guy …
“[Prince] Philip still creeps back into my life. I’ll think, ‘I sound like Big Phil, the legend.’ I will get on the Tube and do a journey as an entirely different human.
“It passes time. I’ve had some mental baths pretending I was Doctor Who.”
In the interview, Matt went on to reveal he enjoys playing controversial character and worries the entertainment industry is becoming too “dumbed down” by the use of trigger warnings.
He added: “We should be telling morally difficult stories, nowadays in particular. It’s OK to feel uncomfortable or provoked while looking at a painting or watching a play, but I worry everything’s being dialled and dumbed down.
“We’re telling audiences they’re going to be scared before they’ve watched something … Isn’t being shocked, surprised, stirred the point?
“Too much policing of stories and being afraid to bring them out because a climate is a certain way is a shame. I’m not sure I’m on board with trigger warnings. I used to go to a local video shop and get ‘Slither’, ‘Basic Instinct’, ‘Disclosure’ – all these erotic thrillers. I was way too young to be watching them.
“I watched ‘Friday the 13th’ when I was nine. Actually, that scarred me. Absolutely ruined me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Ian McKellen is dealing with emotional “residue” after falling off stage in June.
The 85-year-old actor broke his wrist and chipped a vertebra when he tumbled during a performance of ‘Player Kings’ and while he is physically recovered from his injuries now, he still needs to work through his feelings.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Today’ programme, he said: I shall just keep at it as long as the legs and the lungs and the mind keep working.
“I’m physically recovered. I broke my wrist, which is what every kid who falls off his bike does, and that’s all right now. Chipped a little vertebra. Left a bit with a few aches and but not pains.
“It’s emotionally that I’ve got some residue that I’ve got to deal with … I think there’s something inside me that has to be calmed down. But I’m feeling fine.”
The ‘Lord of the Rings’ star admitted his injuries would have been worse if he hadn’t been wearing a “fat suit” as part of his role.
He said: “I was playing Falstaff, who is a fat man, and I wore a fat suit to make me look fat – padded you see – no problem with ribs or my hips.”
Ian was terrified the fall would end his career.
He recalled: “I said to myself as I slid off the stage, ‘This is the end.’ Apparently I shouted out, ‘My neck is broken, I’m dying.’ I don’t remember saying that. So there was a lot going on in my head.
“It seemed to be the end of something, but it was the end of Falstaff.”
The veteran actor recently admitted he has “relived the fall” numerous times since it happened.
He told Saga magazine: “I’ve relived that fall countless times. It was horrible. I thought it was the end of something. It was very upsetting.

Kerry – who is engaged to Ryan Mahoney – wrote in her column for new! magazine: “My Molly turned 23 over the weekend – I can’t believe how fast time is passing. Ryan and I spoiled her.
“She’s been asking for a tattoo gun for a while so we got her one and I’m going to let her tattoo me. I think it will be so special to have a tattoo done by my daughter on me forever. I don’t know what design I’ll choose yet – I don’t even care if it’s just a squiggle.”

She added: “I spent time with her before coming away on holiday and when we left for the airport I balled my eyes out because I knew she would be back at drama school in Dublin by the time we got home. It was so emotional.
“I love all my kids equally but because Molly is my first born, it makes me particularly emotional. That’s something you can never take away.
“She may be 23, but she’ll always be my baby girl. Although, her birthday also reminds me how old I’m getting. I can’t believe I’ll be 44 on Friday.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Lowden wants to land more work projects with his wife Saoirse Ronan so they don’t have to be apart for long periods of time.
The couple started dating back in 2018 after meeting on the set of historical drama ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ and they are believed to have tied the knot in a low-key ceremony in Scotland in July. They have been working together on new movie ‘The Outrun’ – which stars Saoirse with Jack as a producer – and he hopes they can continue making movies together in the future.
Jack told The Times newspaper it’s “not ideal” when both partners are away for long periods filming, adding: “Making work together solves that problem, so that’s another reason why we want to do more together. ‘The Outrun’ gave us such a taste for it. And it can be a lonely thing, this profession.”
During the interview, Jack was wearing a ring on his wedding finger and when asked about the couple’s honeymoon, he admitted the holiday hasn’t happened yet, saying: “One day, one day.”
They are believed to have married in a low-key ceremony in Edinburgh in July in front of just a “handful” of the couple’s closest friends and family who were all “sworn to secrecy”.
The Irish Independent newspaper reported the wedding took place at the Edinburgh Registrar’s Office and was confirmed on the register of Scottish civil marriages records.
The couple has kept their relationship out of the spotlight over the years with both Saoirse and Jack refusing to talk about their romance publicly.
However, Saoirse recently admitted their joint project ‘The Outrun’ came about after Jack persuaded her to read the book during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
She told BBC Scotland: “We were in lockdown, we were reading three books a week and he had been aware of the book from a few years before because he had spent a bit of time in the Orkney Islands with his friend.
“He had originally gone up there to do research on John Rae the explorer who is from Orkney so that’s how he discovered the book. He handed it to me when he had finished it and said ‘This is the next role that you need to play’.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Styles is “not super-active on social media” because he’s “introspective enough” to know what “feels good”.
The former One Direction star has an Instagram account but he rarely updates it and his updates tends to be focused on his music releases or tour dates – and now his sister Gemma Styles has explained why the singer doesn’t use the platform more.
She told The Times newspaper: “I think H is a really good example actually of someone who has been introspective enough about their own social media use to know what feels good and what doesn’t.
“He’s not super-active on social media. And that seems to work for him the best at the moment.”
She added of social media usage: “Be intentional about what you’re consuming. We talk about algorithms a lot now, but if there are things that you’re following that are making you feel rubbish, you don’t have to follow them.”
Gemma added that she disappeared from social media for “months” during her pregnancy.
The writer welcomed her first child – a daughter – with her partner Michal Miynowsk and broke the news to fans in February after keeping her pregnancy a secret.
She went on to explain she decided to keep the news quiet because she wanted her little girl to be “safe and protected”.
When one user asked her during an Instagram Story Q and A why she opted not to share her pregnancy news, she explained: “To be honest it was a mixture of things, some more personal and some less so.
“I wanted to wait until after some later scans but thought there was no way I was going to get through the last [ of Harry’s] ‘Love On Tour’ shows without seeing my bump so that would be it … but turns out I managed to keep it under wraps and eventually I was like, I think I can make it to the end?
“And that felt like the right decision for us.”
Responding to a comment from a follower who praised her for her efforts to keep the personal news private, she replied: “Thank you, I appreciate that! “I don’t know if I’ll always feel the same about it but essentially giving out information online it’s like … you can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube, you know?”
She added: “I’ve never done this before; I don’t know what she would want and we want to keep her safe and protected. I know lots of people keep their kids’ faces/names/details off social media and there are some great reasons for that, we’ll figure it out in our own time.
“I really appreciate all the supportive messages checking in on how we are, it’s so nice that people care – we’re good!”
