Michael Keaton admits wild Jack Nicholson’s partying ways were ‘wasted on him’

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Keaton has admitted that the times he used to party with Jack Nicholson were “wasted on him”.
The 72-year-old star says despite the perks of partying with the three-time Oscar winner – whom he met working on 1989’s ‘Batman’ – including travelling on a private jet and going to exclusive bars, that scene wasn’t for him, and he actually much prefered the intellectual chats the pair had together.
Speaking to the new issue of PEOPLE magazine about the 87-year-old Hollywood legend – whose wild days included visits to the late Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion – he said: “I just really liked him. He’s really, really intelligent. Really. A real reader. Just has an innate intelligence, and then a self-taught intelligence. … Because he devours books. Always something to talk about. Very opinionated about things when you’re in a conversation.
“He took me to Paris in a jet. I was like a Boy Scout. I was ready to go out like a normal person. Jack didn’t get out of his room until like 10pm or 10:30pm.
“Jack was having a ball. He had the biggest grin on his face. I headed back to the hotel before him and I remember thinking ‘This is fun, but it’s kind of wasted on me.’ ”
Keaton is also best known for his titular role in 1988’s ‘Beetlejuice’ and admitted that he almost didn’t take the role when offered it by director Tim Burton because he “didn’t get the character” and couldn’t understand the quirky filmmaker.
He told the magazine: “I just said, ‘I don’t know what it is, and he’d probably be better off getting someone else because I don’t get it.’ Not like, ‘I don’t get it. I thought it was bad.’ I literally didn’t know what it was.”
However, they quickly hit it off and he has just reprised the role for the sequel ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’.
He continued: “My gut said, ‘This guy is something. For sure, something.’ Plus, I just liked him. I liked him as a person. I got along with him, and he seemed like my kind of eccentric artist.”

Naomi Campbell leaves crowd gasping with swipe at Anna Wintour

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Campbell hit out at legendary editor Anna Wintour in a speech on Tuesday (02.09.24).
The 54-year-old supermodel was receiving the Fashion Icon Award at Fashion Row’s Fashion Show and Style Awards in Harlem, New York, when she branded the Vogue boss the “other woman” in an apparent response to the 74-year-old journalist calling out her renowned lack of punctuality.
Taking to the stage, the New York Post newspaper reports Anna had said to laughs from the crowd: “I am a very punctual person, and I have the honour of presenting tonight to someone who is often late.”
Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief Samira Nasr then offered a second introduction to Naomi, and as she accepted her award, the model said: “It’s so important that I’m here today, and I’m honoured to be here in Harlem.
“Everything’s going to work out the way it’s going to work out.”
Referring to Anna, she said: “It wasn’t my choice to have the other woman.”
She then gestured to Samira and said: “I’d much rather have this.”
The crowd gasped but Naomi insisted she had to be honest because she has “always been unapologetically truthful.”
But later in her speech, Naomi praised Anna for offering her support when she was starting out in the fashion industry.
She said: “We must still say thank you to Anna Wintour, as she did take the time to come here and give me the award even though I wasn’t here.
“So thank you, Anna Wintour, for your support in my career from 1987, meeting a young black girl from South London in British Vogue offices and taking a chance in giving me a shoot.
“And so, I thank you for your influence and your continuing support in pushing fashion forward also.”

Natasha Lyonne reveals how losing her parents changed her life

OHMYGOSSIP — Natasha Lyonne has been “trying to get a life” since her parents died.
The 45-year-old actress has been in show business since she was a child and came to prominence as a teenager in the late 1990s with her role in ‘Everyone Says I Love You’ but has turned to directing in recent years and admitted that since losing her mother and father, she’s been adjusting to life without them.
She told Vanity Fair: “I’m trying to get a life. I discovered that recently. I was like, ‘Oh, s***’. I think, probably, because my parents died, and well, my brother’s been out on the lamb for a couple decades. But anyway: I’ve been out here on my own for a solid, I don’t know, 25 years or something. Weird because I just turned 30.”
The former ‘Orange is the New Black’ star – who lived independently from her family since she was 16 and split up with Fred Armisen in 2022 after almost a decade together – insists she has always “aspired” to be a “brain” who could “use storytelling to shift perspective”.
She said: “Yeah, I was put in this business at four years old or something. Pee-wee’s Playhouse by six, then Woody Allen’s kid at 15, and Alan Arkin’s kid at 17. When I went to Tisch around then—I think I was 16, they had skipped my senior year, it’s the only school I applied to—it was to be a film and philosophy double major. I could put some Bergman into these Fellini-esque things, where maybe I would play-act as a Charlie Chaplin type doing all the jobs. I wanted to be a filmmaker and a thinker. I always had this desire, more than anything, to be a mind, a brain in a jar who could actually use storytelling to shift a perspective. That’s always what I’m aspiring to.”
Natasha admits it’s hard to be perceived differently once you’ve been earmarked as one thing in the public eye.
She added: “I don’t want to undermine the beauty of comedy within all that. George Carlin [comedian] has really pulled off some tricks. It isn’t really a desire to shake a self or feeling hampered by it. It’s just this idea of being able to understand the gift. You stick around long enough, and you may get a few opportunities for people, or even commerce, or whatever to allow you to just show more sides of a 360 human being. We are all different people in private and in different relationships with different people and in different scenarios.”

Hunter Schafer admits it’s ‘really surreal’ Euphoria is returning for season three

OHMYGOSSIP — Hunter Schafer is “still processing” the fact ‘Euphoria’ is returning for a third season.
The 25-year-old actress stars as Jules Vaughn in the HBO teen drama and has admitted she doubted another instalment of the hit series – which also stars the likes of Zendaya (Rue) and Sydney Sweeney (Cassie) – would ever happen as the stars have moved on to even bigger things.
She told W Magazine: “It’s so wild because we’ve been in this limbo for a couple years now of, like, ‘I don’t know if we’re going to get a season 3.’ It was taking so long, and everyone is growing up and getting busy. The further you get away from it, the more out of reach it feels. It’s really surreal. I’m still processing, honestly.”
The ‘Kinds of Kindness’ actress also admitted she is “nervous” about returning to the set following the death of co-star Angus Cloud (Fez) – who died of an accidental drug overdose in 2023 aged 31 – as his presence will be missed.
She added: “I think people’s absence will be felt, and I’m a bit…I’m nervous for that.
“But I think, in another sense, it’s a beautiful opportunity to spend time in the world where you got to know and love those people.”
Sydney recently admitted she is “excited” to start shooting season three of the hit TV show in January.
The ‘Anyone But You’ star, 26, told PEOPLE: “I’m very excited to jump back into Cassie. She is definitely one of the most special characters for me and I love my ‘Euphoria’ family, so I look forward to it.”
Sydney loves exploring the darker side of her on-screen character, too.
She confessed: “I love crazy Cassie, so the crazier, the better for me.”

Kim Kardashian’s son signs ‘extensive contract’ to be allowed YouTube channel

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian made her eight-year-old son sign an “extensive contract” before allowing him to set up a YouTube channel.
The 43-year-old beauty – who has North, 11, Saint, eight, Chicago, six, and five-year-old Psalm with ex-husband Kanye West – has “finally allowed” her eldest boy to launch an account on the platform, but compiled a strict list of rules for his posts first.
The ‘Kardashians’ star shared the handwritten contract on her Instagram Story and wrote: “Saint signed a solid contract for his YouTube Channel. He better not breach.”
The document – which was signed by Saint – acknowledged the youngster “agreed to follow mom’s rules.”
It stated: “I am not allowed to comment any personal family information. I am not allowed to film any personal information. I am not allowed to film while North is recording music.”
Kim’s caption then obscured the next few sentences, but it then continued: “I must show my mom or guardian all videos before I post them. I give permission to any grown up if mom says to delete my video for any reason.”
And if Saint breaches the terms, the youngster’s stint on the video platform could be up.
The contract concluded: “If I don’t listen to all of the rules, mom could make my page private or delete my account.”
The Skims founder urged her followers to follow her son on YouTube.
She also shared a screenshot of his account, @TheGoatSaint, and wrote: “I have finally allowed aSaint to have a YouTube Channel after signing an extensive contract! Lol Please Subscribe!!! (sic)”
Kim and former husband Kanye previously disagreed over her granting North permission to use TikTok in 2022.
But the following year, the reality star insisted co-parenting was a matter of “trial and error”.
She told Time magazine: “She loves making slime videos and doing her little hair tutorials.
“I will fight for her to be creative.”

Katy Perry reflects on brief Orlando Bloom split

OHMYGOSSIP — Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom split he wasn’t interested in “playing games” and she needed to “work” on herself.
The couple first met at a Golden Globes afterparty in 2016 but split the following year in the aftermath of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor attending a week-long retreat called The Hoffman Process, which left the pair looking for different things.
Katy told Alex Cooper on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast: “We weren’t really in it from day one. He was because he had just done a huge time of celibacy and he had set intentions. I was fresh out of a relationship, and I was like, I can’t do this anymore. I need to swim in a different pond, but I had to do a lot real work.”
Recalling Orlando’s return from the retreat, she added: “He went there, and he wasn’t playing that cat-mouse game anymore.
“And I was like, ‘This is boring. I’m moving on.’ I was so used to this push-pull. Because once you have it. I was playing games.”
Orlando and Katy then spent a “really tough year” apart before the ‘Woman’s World’ singer decided to go on the retreat too, and it completely changed her life.
She said: “I finally went to Hoffman towards the end of that year that we were separated, and I got the tools.
“We spoke the same language.
“I would be dead without it. I would not be on this planet without that process and meditation. Because the noise got so large.
“When ‘Witness’ came out and things started to shift, and I thought I really loved myself. I thought I really had that centre, but actually that core was created from outside validation.
“It just helped me rewire what I think about myself, and it helped me connect my head to my heart.”
When the couple – who have four-year-old daughter Daisy together – reunited, Katy, 39, show “the worst” of herself to the 47-year-old actor and his steadfast support made her realise he was the right man for her.
She said: “I showed him the worst of me. I was like, ‘Here’s the next test. I’m gonna show you the craziest b**** you’ve ever seen,’ and he was like, ‘I’m not shook.’ And I was like, ‘You’re my baby daddy.’ If you’re not shook by this, then we’re going the distance.”
And now, Katy and Orlando – who is also dad to 13-year-old Flynn from his marriage to Miranda Kerr – work together to keep their relationship strong, including by engaging in couple’s therapy.
She said: “We want to evolve that’s I think why we’re in our relationship is to become better humans so we can raise this beautiful human being.
“It’s been different layers. The more we do the work, the more we find the next level. And sometimes we get stuck, and we’re like, ‘OK, let’s go in to do the work and this is going to be annoying, and I don’t want to do it. We don’t have the time. I’m tired.’
“But we’re gonna do it. And we find the next level. That’s why we’re continuing in the relationship.”

Robbie Williams can’t resist Noel Gallagher jibe as he praises Oasis reunion

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams thinks Oasis’ reunion will be a “healing moment” for the UK – but couldn’t resist taking a swipe at Noel Gallagher.
The ‘Angels’ singer famously fell out with the guitarist and his brother Liam Gallagher in the late 1990s, but he is still pleased the pair have reconciled and will put on a great show.
However, the 50-year-old star believes it Liam that will make the concerts memorable.
He wrote on Instagram: “As ‘Namaste’ as it may sound Oasis getting back together is going to be a healing moment for our country.
“Liam Gallagher reading his phone on the toilet would be more charismatic and intriguing than 99.9% of the world’s population at their most enigmatic. All he has to do is stand there and sing for the audience to be guaranteed their money’s worth. Noel will be there too.”
Oasis split in 2009 due to the rift between Liam and Noel, with the brothers subsequently exchanging numerous public jibes over the years, so Robbie has predicted the pair getting together again will make for a fascinating “soap opera”.
He mused: “What do I think? I think it’s f****** brilliant. I also think it’s fascinating. The soap opera alone will either be exciting and or ghoulish to watch.
“For start off, how do you insure that tour? Is it uninsurable? And is there a clause for unresolved childhood trauma rearing its head and making the space between and around the boys untenable?
“Are the insurers rubbing their hands or s******* themselves?”
And while the ‘Candy’ singer expects the gigs to be “incredible”, he believes a large part of that is due to the band’s fans.
He continued: “As for the shows? They’re gonna be incredible, off the scale special, the audience will make sure of that, they have pre-booked an experience. And they will do all of the heavy lifting. They ARE the experience.
“It will be more about the audience than the band and the songs, the band and the songs already did the work. The band could be inanimate objects and it wouldn’t matter.”
Robbie and Liam were once the best of friends in 1995 after the pop star quit Take That, and they spent a weekend of soul-searching together at Glastonbury festival in Somerset, South West England.
However, that didn’t last long after Noel called the ‘Let Me Entertain You’ hitmaker “the fat dancer from Take That”.
Robbie soon got his own back and sent a wreath to the Oasis brothers after his concerts in 2003 at Knebworth, Hertfordshire beat their record for the venue by selling out three shows in a row.
A few years later, Liam started dating Nicole Appleton – who was Robbie’s ex-girlfriend – and during an appearance at the BRIT Awards in 2000, his former friend offered to fight the ‘Wonderwall’ singer for £100,000.
And it seems the drama will feature in Robbie’s upcoming biopic ‘Better Man’.
He concluded: “PS. Oasis are in my new movie. I think they come over well in it.”

Lala Kent gives birth

OHMYGOSSIP — Lala Kent has given birth to a baby girl.
The 34-year-old star – who already had daughter Ocean, three, with former partner Randall Emmett – took to Instagram on Thursday (04.09.24) to reveal she had welcomed her second child, who she previously revealed was conceived via donor sperm, into the world the previous day.
She wrote on her Instagram Story: “Welcome to the world, my love.
“9.3.24. (sic)”
The reality TV favourite has yet to reveal any further details about her new daughter, or share any pictures.
Lala previously insisted that, while she wanted another child “so badly”, she had no desire to find a “baby daddy”.
Speaking on ‘Vanderpump Rules’, she said: “I want another baby so badly.
“My child is like fully speaking. She’s very excited about the thought of a sibling.
She said: “I don’t want a baby daddy. It’s not happening. There’s no changing my mind.”
Lala split from Randall in acrimonious circumstances, and that influenced her approach to having another child.
She explained: “I know this is not the norm, and I just feel like going the donor route is the right decision for me.
“I want an absolute with this baby. No matter what, this is my baby. No one can ever come in and take it from me. I don’t have to share it on Christmas Day. Just mine.”
The Bravo star is keen to have “many” children in different ways over the coming years.
She said: “I think I’m going to get a sperm donor, I’m going to have this baby. Then I’d like to adopt a baby. If I meet a guy later on we can have a baby.
“I’ll just have all the kids in the world and I’m going to be so happy.”
In March, Lala took to social media to announce her pregnancy.
The reality TV star posted a photo of her growing baby bump on Instagram.
She captioned the photo: “I’m expanding my pod.”

Ben Platt and Noah Galvin wed

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Platt has got married.
The Tony Award winning actor tied the knot with Noah Galvin in a lavish three-day celebration in New York City over the Labor Day weekend, beginning with a Shabbat dinner last Friday (30.08.24)
Noah told Vogue magazine: “Since some of Ben’s family are observant Jews, we couldn’t get married until Sunday when Shabbat was over, so to keep the party going we had a bar hang with some games and Lombardi’s pizza on Saturday night at Cellar Dog in the West Village.
“Finally, on Sunday, we had the wedding proper at Pioneer Works in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Noah was sad that nobody used the IKEA ferry to get there…”
The wedding ceremony last Sunday (01.09.24) was officiated by Ben’s Rabbi, David Wolpe, and various friends and family members honoured the couple with the seven Hebrew blessings that signify a marriage, as well as English interpretations of each.
The ceremony then ended with a surprise for the grooms, as their mothers teamed up to sing a classic Jewish wedding song.
Noah said: “And then, we both stepped on glasses. And they broke, thank god!”
The couple then enjoyed an after-party at Sunny’s bar, where guests enjoyed food from Shake Shack and a Marie’s Crisis Café-inspired musical theatre singalong.
Ben and Noah were reluctant to wear matching outfits for the ceremony.
Ben said: “Upon doing our initial gay wedding research, we discovered that it is, upsettingly, common practice to match on your wedding day.
“[In addition to both wanting to look different,] we also did not want to look like cater waiters, so we opted for coordination as opposed to straight-up matching.”
On Friday, they wore head-to-toe navy Thom Browne tailoring, with Noah in a cropped suit jacket and trousers and Ben in a kilt and blazer. The couple told their guests Saturday’s (31.08.24) event would be as “casual as can be” but the ‘Book of Mormon’ star wore a vintage button-down shirt and capri pants, while his spouse “showed everyone up” in full Issey Miyake.
Stylist Jared Ellner designed their cream wedding outfits and they were made by Arel Studio.
Ben said: “When it came to the wedding, we wanted to give Jared full rein.”
They then changed into custom looks from Shosh, a boutique line from Noah’s aunt, Carol Pratt, with their outfits made of linen and silk textiles for ultimate comfort.
The couple couldn’t have asked for more from their celebrations.
Noah said: “We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We are still floating. And mostly we’re happy we get to keep hanging out forever.”
Ben added: “Our greatest hope was to give everyone a joyful, low-stress weekend full of warmth and a window into our relationship and the life that we are building. And we wanted the dancing to go off. We feel that all missions were accomplished!”

James Marsters’ ‘personal hell’ on Buffy set

OHMYGOSSIP — James Marsters was in “personal hell” shooting ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s “problematic” sexual assault scene.
The 62-year-old actor was strongly opposed to the plot of the season six episode ‘Seeing Red’, which aired in May 2002 and saw his character Spike try to convince Sarah Michelle Gellar’s titular character that she still had feelings for him, only for her to fight off his unwanted advances, and he admitted he was so against the scene, he “collapsed to the floor” in pain afterwards because the stress had caused an old neck injury to flare up.
He admitted on the ‘Inside of You’ podcast: “It’s the darkest professional day of my life.
“It’s a problematic scene for a lot of people who like the show.”
Of his neck pain, he added: “I just collapsed to the floor. I’m like, ‘I guess I’m kind of tense right now,’ you know?
“We got the scene in the can, and it was — it was hell. I was in personal hell.”
The actor explained the scene was inspired by a “painful” experience one of the show’s writers had had in college when she tried to reconcile with an ex.
He said: “She had gotten broken up with and she went to her ex’s place and thought that if they made love one more time, everything would be fixed.
“And she kind of forced herself and he had to physically remove her from the premises. And that was just like one of the most painful memories of that time of her life.
“[The writers] thought that since Buffy was a superhero, that they could flip the sexes since Buffy could defend herself very, very easily from this. They thought that they could have a man do it to a woman and it would be the same thing, I think.”
But James argued against the scene because he felt it would be upsetting for viewers.
He recalled: “I said, ‘You know, guys, we’re providing a vicarious experience for the audience.
“And so I was saying, ‘You know, everyone who’s watching Buffy is Buffy, and they’re not superheroes. So, I’m doing this to every member of the audience, and they’re gonna have a very different reaction.’ ”
And he insisted he didn’t care about how the scene would change fans’ opinions of his character.
He said: “I wasn’t thinking of that. I was just having to do that to Sarah. You know, I was just having to live through that reality.”
The ‘Smallville’ actor refuses to be involved in projects featuring similar material.
He admitted: “I don’t like sexual predation scenes. Anything that has that to do with it, I don’t audition for those things.
“If there’s a movie with that kind of material, I don’t go to see the movie. If it pops up on television, I’ve got to turn the television off before I break it.
“I have a very visceral reaction to that stuff.”

Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves still call each other husband and wife

OHMYGOSSIP — Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves still refer to themselves as “husband and wife”.
The two stars’ characters in 1992 movie ‘Dracula’ got hitched and the 52-year-old actress previously revealed their union was technically the real deal after director Francis Ford Coppola hired a real Romanian priest for the scene.
And though the pair are in relationships with Scott Mackinlay Hahn and Alexandra Grant respectively, they still value the bond they have with one another.
Winona, 52, was asked on the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast how the “two biggest luddites on the planet” manage to keep in touch and she replied: “I know.
“But we do text, and we always say who it is, even though it says it on the text … On his birthday, when I’m like, ‘Happy Birthday, my husband!’ and I put ‘Noni,’ he’s like, ‘Hey, wife! Love you, KR 57.’
“On each birthday he’s like, ‘KR 57’ or whatever his age is.
“He’s always done that.”
Keanu, 60, previously declared he and Winona are “married under the eyes of God”.
The two stars’ characters in 1992 movie ‘Dracula’ got hitched and the actress previously revealed their union was technically the real deal after director
Speaking in a video interview with Esquire, he said: “We did a whole take of a marriage ceremony with real priests.
“Winona says we are. Coppola says we are.
“So I guess we’re married under the eyes of God.”
Winona claimed in 2018 she and Keanu were married.
She said at the time: “We actually got married in ‘Dracula’. No, I swear to god I think we’re married in real life.
“In that scene, Francis [Ford Coppola] used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So I think we’re married.”
And around the same time, the ‘Stranger Things’ actress admitted she has always had a playful soft spot for her co-star.
During a joint interview, she said: “I had a pretty big healthy crush on him.”
Keanu replied: “I had a big healthy crush on you too.”

‘Fun machine’ Shailene Woodley

OHMYGOSSIP — Shailene Woodley is a “fun machine”.
The ‘Three Women’ star began her career when she was just five years old but her parents Lori and Lonnie set out some guidelines for her to follow if she wanted to keep working during her school days, and the 32-year-old actress is pleased they weren’t all strict rules.
Speaking to Virgin Atlantic’s Vera magazine, she said: “My parents had three rules when I was starting out.
“In order to be an actor, I had to stay the person they knew I was, do well in school and have fun.
“I love that they included having fun because I am a fun machine. I’m really good at playing.”
Shailene pushed herself at school so she could go further in her career.
She said: “I got the equivalent of my GED when I was 15 so that I could work legally as an adult during my junior year of high school.”
But because the ‘Big Little Lies’ star “loved school so much and took pride in being an overachiever,” she still stayed to go through some important milestones.
She explained: “I ended up staying to get a real diploma and go to prom.”
Shailene previously told how her parents used to force her and her brother Tanner to “hug it out” if they had an argument and asked her to explore the feelings of the other person if she was teased at school.
And while the ‘Divergent’ star was upset at their reactions at the time, Shailene is now grateful for the lessons they taught her.
She said: “It’s enabled me to recognise that no one’s evil.
“They’re probably hurting and can’t express themselves, get no love at home, so it’s repeated. It gave me a broader outlook: just put yourself in another person’s shoes.”
The ‘Fault in our Stars’ actress previously reflected on how “hurt” she was when her parents didn’t take her “side” when she was teased.
She told Net-a-Porter’s digital magazine The Edit: “It would hurt my feelings, and my parents weren’t on my side. They would be like, ‘I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way, but what do you think that person was feeling?’ Oh, I hated it.”

Prosecutor calls for Alec Baldwin involuntary manslaughter charge to be reinstated

OHMYGOSSIP — A prosecutor has asked for the involuntary manslaughter charge against Alec Baldwin to be reinstated.
The 66-year-old actor was standing trial in July over the death of Halyna Hutchins – who was fatally shot on the set of ‘Rust’ in 2021 – when judge Mary Marlowe Sommer threw out the case after his legal team argued prosecutors had hidden evidence relating to the passing of the cinematographer, and ruled the state had withheld information in a manner that was “intentional and deliberate”.
And now, in a court filing made public on Wednesday (04.09.24), special prosecutor Kari Morrissey – who was accused of direct involvement in the decision to withhold evidence – argued there were “insufficient facts” to support the ruling and the ammunition rounds in question weren’t relevant to the actor’s defense.
According to The Guardian newspaper, she wrote: “No one on the prosecution team ever intentionally kept evidence from the defendant, it simply didn’t occur to the prosecution that the rounds were relevant to the case even if they were the same or similar to the live rounds found on the set of ‘Rust’.”
Kari insisted defense attorneys knew about the rounds but pulled out of an opportunity to view them before trial.
She wrote: “This is a smoke screen created by the defense and was intended to sway and confuse the court … and it was successful.”
The ‘Boss Baby’ star’s attorney plans to file a response with the court.
If the judge declines to reconsider her decision, it can still be reviewed by a higher court.
Alec was indicted by a New Mexico grand jury in January after the gun he was holding during a 2021 rehearsal on the set of ‘Rust’ discharged, killing mother-of-one Halyna and injuring the film’s director Joel Souza.
The actor has since maintained he didn’t pull the trigger of the gun or know why it contained live ammunition.
Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the film’s armourer, was jailed for 18 months in April after being found guilty in charges connected to the incident.
‘Rust’ resumed filming and finished its shoot in May 2023, saying in an Instagram post marking its completion: “It’s been a long and difficult road. But we reach the end of the trail today.”

Miranda Lambert was happy to take ‘risk’ with whirlwind marriage

OHMYGOSSIP — Miranda Lambert felt the “reward” of marrying Brendan McLoughlin just three months after they first met was worth the “risk”.
The 40-year-old singer tied the knot with the former NYPD officer in 2019 following a whirlwind romance and she knew she needed to put her heart on the line without worrying about potential “pain” if she wanted to find “big love”.
Miranda – who was married to Blake Shelton from 2011 to 2015 – told Us Weekly magazine: “I kind of went for it; no risk, no reward. I grew up in a family of first responders with cops and firemen. That gave me trust to begin with.
“Texas people are very much who they are, like, ‘Y’all come on in, but if you don’t like us, we really don’t care.’ That New York mentality is the same, except they’re not as sweet about it.
“I just felt like the worst that could happen, I’ve lived through. If it ends, it ends.
“If you don’t put your heart out there, are you ever going to get the big love that everybody wants, that all the songs are about, that all the movies are about? I’m guarded in a lot of ways, but when it comes to my heart, I’m like, what do you really have to lose? Pain is pain, but it passes.”
The ‘Settling Down’ singer appreciates the fact Brendan isn’t a part of the music industry because he isn’t afraid to be honest with her.
She said: “He calls me out, and I love that. I need that. I don’t think it’s healthy that people, especially artists or celebrities, surround themself with yes people.
“If you surround yourself with a group of people who are honest with you, you’ll go a lot farther, and it’s a lot healthier in the long run.”
The ‘Wranglers’ singer admitted love isn’t always easy but she’s happy to work at her marriage.
She said: “I guess the thing I’ve learned the most is just that communication is everything. Love doesn’t always cut it. You’ve got to talk about s***.
“And you have to compromise sometimes and be willing to listen to each other when you have something important to say.
“Love is hard some days, but the reward is so worth it.”

Gracie Abrams cured of stage fright after Eras Tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Gracie Abrams was cured of stage fright after performing on Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour.
The 24-year-old singer was one of the opening acts for the ‘Cruel Summer’ hitmaker’s first US leg of her concert series and she admitted performing for her friend’s crowds every night helped to “rewire a huge chunk of [her] brain” and eased her debilitating fear.
She told Who What Wear: “I avoided [performing] at all costs.
“That rewired a huge chunk of my brain—not just in terms of performing and stage fright and that kind of s*** but in my life.
“I told myself that I knew I would hate performing. I knew I would be uncomfortable every second that I was onstage, and I didn’t end up feeling that way at all.
“It was really lovely to be wrong.”
The ‘Mess It Up’ singer got to join Taylor on stage at London’s Wembley Stadium in June to perform their collaboration ‘Us’, and the moment was an “out of body” experience for her.
She said: “We wrote it the way that we played it at Wembley.
“To see somebody have the ability to, in a stadium, make it feel like you and her are the only two people there, that was hugely important for me to see.”
Gracie will rejoin the ‘Eras’ tour in America and Canada next month and is excited to play songs from her album ‘The Secret of Us’ at the concerts.
She said: “I am so f****** happy that we get to do [‘The Secret of Us’] on ‘Eras’ just because so much of the album was undeniably inspired by the kind of energy that radiates from both Taylor herself and her fans, [who] are just so committed and passionate.”
Gracie previously recalled how she felt like she knew the ‘Karma’ singer before they even met because the 34-year-old star had been such a big influence on her life.
She told The Sunday Times newspaper: “When I met her, it kind of felt like we had known each other already, which I’m sure there was an element of just like the parasocial relationship thing. I’ve grown up with her voice in my headphones my entire life.”
The ‘Risk’ singer also described Taylor as a “safe space to land” with any questions about the industry and recalled how she received some invaluable advice on how to cope with back pain whilst on tour.
Gracie said: “She recommended an acupressure mat that really turned things around for me.”

Michael Keaton wants to start using his birth name Michael Douglas

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Keaton wants to start using his real name, Michael Douglas.
The ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ star, 73, hasn’t been allowed to go by his birth name due to it being the same as 79-year-old Oscar winner Michael Douglas, 79, and late daytime host Mike Douglas, a decision cast by the Screen Actors Guild.
However, he has come up with a way around it and plans to be credited as Michael Keaton Douglas.
Recalling how he picked his fake surname, Keaton – who was born Michael John Douglas – told PEOPLE magazine: “I was looking through – I can’t remember if it was a phone book.
“I must’ve gone, ‘I don’t know, let me think of something here.’ And I went, ‘Oh, that sounds reasonable.’”
The ‘Batman’ star had intended to use Michael Keaton Douglas for his director credit for 2023 crime thriller ‘Knox Goes Away’, but didn’t manage to sort it out on time.
He explained: “I said, ‘Hey, just as a warning, my credit is going to be Michael Keaton Douglas.’
“And it totally got away from me. And I forgot to give them enough time to put it in and create that. But that will happen.”
The ‘Jack Frost’ star – who is credited as Michael Keaton for his latest movie, the ‘Beetlejuice’ sequel – previously denied choosing Keaton because he had a crush on actress Diane Keaton, 78.
In an interview with the now-defunct sports and pop-culture blog Grantland, he said: “I feel bad! She’s probably badly bugged by that story! The truth is I’m trying to figure out how John Cougar Mellencamp did it, because I like my name, I’m proud of my name. Douglas, you know, it’s my Dad’s name.”
