Hugh Grant gets emotional as he discusses the joy of fatherhood

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Grant embraces his children crawling all over him.
The 64-year-old star became emotional as he discussed the joy he gets from parenting his five children – son John Mungo, 12, and daughters Lulu, eight, and Blue, six, who he has with wife Anna Eberstein as well as daughter Tabitha Xiao Xi, 13, and son Felix Chang Hong, 11, from his relationship with former partner Tinglan Hong – even though it can be chaotic at times.
Asked if he was a “jungle gym dad”, Hugh told ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’: “Oh I love a bit of that.
“I mean there’s a lot to dread because I’m old and it’s noisy and it’s unbearable and I do a lot of hiding in the loo.”
The ‘Heretic’ actor became teary as he continued: “I mean, I’m going home tonight and, let’s face it, the bit where they jump in your arms – my six-year-old calls it her ‘chimpanzee hug’. I quite like that.
Hugh added: “I’ve made myself cry.”
The ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ star revealed the names of his two youngest daughters earlier this month and confessed that he was in a bit of a “panic” when attempting to name his children.
Hugh said: “I have a daughter who I named…I was in a bit of a panic with my wife on the day we named her and we thought it might be nice for her when she was older if she could say in bars that her middle name was Danger. So her name is Lulu Danger Grant.”
The star revealed that his other daughter is named Blue “because again I panicked about names with my wife so we asked (Lulu’s) elder brother when she was on the way”.
Grant recalled: “We said, ‘There’s a new baby coming along, what should we call her?’ And he said, ‘Kevin,’ because that was his favourite Minion (from the film ‘Despicable Me’).
“And we did think about calling her Kevin but then we said, ‘You better think of something else.’ So he said Blue, because it was his favourite colour.”

Dick Van Dyke is thankful he ‘won’t be around’ for Donald Trump’s second term as US president

OHMYGOSSIP — Dick Van Dyke is relieved he “won’t be around” for Donald Trump’s second term as US president.
The ‘Mary Poppins’ actor, 98, has admitted that he is glad that he is unlikely to live through the full duration of Trump’s return to office after endorsing Democrat candidate Kamala Harris in the lead-up to last week’s election.
In a video published by the Daily Mail, Van Dyke was stopped in a car park and was asked: “Does the future look bright for America?”
He replied: “I hope you’re right.”
The Hollywood legend was then asked: “Do you think Donald Trump is capable of making America great again?”
He answered: “Fortunately I won’t be around to experience the four years.”
Van Dyke made a rare appearance on social media prior to the election to pledge his support to Harris as he remembered a speech he made alongside Martin Luther King Jr. at a civil rights event in 1964.
He said in a clip posted on Instagram: “Hi! I’m Dick Van Dyke. You may remember I used to sing and dance and fall down a lot, actually.
“Fifty years ago – May 31st, 1964 – I was on the podium with Dr. Martin Luther King, who was addressing some of the 60,000 people in the Colosseum in LA.
“I was there to read a message written by Rod Serling, the guy who wrote ‘The Twilight Zone’.
“I got it out the other day and I think it means as much today, if not more, than it did then, so if you don’t mind, I’d like to read it.”
Van Dyke then read a short section of the full speech, entitled ‘A Most Non-Political Speech’.
He read: “Hatred is not the norm. Prejudice is not the norm. Suspicion, dislike, jealousy, scapegoating, none of those are the transcendent facets of the human personality.
“They are diseases. They are the cancers of the soul. They are the infectious and contagious viruses that have been breeding humanity for years.
“And because they have been and because they are, is it necessary that they shall be? I think not.
“As long as there is one voice left to say ‘welcome’ to a stranger, one hand outstretched to say ‘enter and share,’ and one mind remaining to think a thought of warmth and friendship, then there is still hope for humanity.”

Dominic West enjoyed people bowing to him as Prince Charles in The Crown

OHMYGOSSIP — Dominic West loved people bowing to him as he played Prince Charles in ‘The Crown’.
The 55-year-old actor portrayed the future British monarch in the final two seasons of the Netflix royal drama and took a huge amount of pleasure from the respect his alter ego was afforded.
Asked about the best part of playing the royal, Dominic told People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive issue: “The fact that everyone bows to you and I can’t overestimate how much that cheers you up. I tried to get my children to do it after I’d come home from work, and they wouldn’t obviously.
“It’s amazing when everyone who came in the room would have to bow to me. And I think if you have that in your life, like Charles does, it must make you feel very different.”
Dominic revealed that he had fond memories of the drama’s final episode when the then Prince of Wales married Camilla Parker Bowles (Olivia Williams).
‘The Wire’ star recalled: “The last week was amazing, because they blew quite a big budget on the last episode, which Stephen Daldry directed.
“So, I got married to Olivia Williams who plays Camilla in this amazing church in York in England, called York Minster, which is this amazing Gothic cathedral.
“We had a full church choir, a full orchestra, and I think about 40 cherry trees, and then 400 extras all bowing to us as we walked down the aisle. That was pretty special.
“That was really special, with the choir going and the organ and the orchestra, and that was amazing. I thought, ‘Wow, this is an expensive show’.”
Meanwhile, Dominic revealed that he would like to be a farmer if he wasn’t an actor.
The father-of-five said: “I live in the country in England and outside Bath, and I keep pigs and chickens and I live next to a farm, and I’m very good friends with a farmer. I sort of thought I wouldn’t mind being a farmer. And I think I met a farmer who farms on a farm that’s actually owned by, or was owned by Prince Charles, because as the Prince of Wales, he has this portfolio of farms. And she said that she thinks if he wasn’t King, that’s what he’d like to be, more than anything as a farmer. And I think I’m probably the same.”

Martin Scorsese won’t go ‘too far’ with TikTok videos

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Scorsese doesn’t want to go “too far” on TikTok.
The 81-year-old director has become an unlikely star on the social media platform as he features in his 24-year-old daughter Francesca’s videos on topics such as slang terms and makeup tutorials although there is some ideas that he has had to turn down.
Quizzed on if he had said no to any concepts, Scorsese told People: “There were a few. I can’t think of them right now, but (I’ll say), ‘I think it’s going too far, honey.’
“But you know, she’s a good actor and she’s got a great sense of humour. And there’s a good rapport and I play off that.”
The ‘Taxi Driver’ filmmaker confessed that he had no idea what was going on when Francesca first got him involved in the videos.
Scorsese said: “I didn’t know about TikTok.
“She said, ‘Dad, just do this for a minute.’ I did it, and the next thing I know, it’s all over the world.”
Scorsese revealed earlier this year that he was enjoying his new-found social media fame and described it as “kind of fun” compared to being in more formal celebrity settings.
He told the Guardian newspaper: “Apparently, I’ve been forced to engage with the TikToks. It’s kind of fun, actually. There’s something about suddenly breaking through all this artifice of being properly interviewed or being presented in certain events, and suddenly there we are at home with the dogs all over the floor, in pyjamas and people laughing.”
Scorsese was almost 60 when he welcomed Francesca, his youngest daughter, to the world and has learned a lot from being a father in later life.
The ‘Goodfellas’ helmer said: “It’s a very different thing, having children at a late age. It teaches you a lot. It teaches you a great deal about love.”

Blake Shelton relieved to escape the ‘hamster wheel’ after The Voice exit

OHMYGOSSIP — Blake Shelton has embraced life away from the “hamster wheel”.
The 48-year-old singer left TV show ‘The Voice’ after 12 years as a coach in 2023 and explained that he is being selective over which projects he takes on next as he is enjoying a more sedate pace of living.
Blake, who is married to pop star Gwen Stefani, told People: “The last couple of years, especially since I’ve retired from ‘The Voice’, I’ve just kind of been trying to be very mindful of the next thing that I do, be thoughtful about it and be sure that I’m not just doing things because I’m on the hamster wheel.
“It happens, and before you know it, you go, ‘My God, where have the last 10 years gone?'”
Shelton admits that the “big changes” in his career – which saw him leave record label Warner Music Nashville after 25 years to join BMG – have rekindled his passion for country music and resulted in his new single ‘Texas’.
He said: “It was just time for a new chapter, honestly. And I’m ready for it.
“When we just started down this road, this song just jumped out to me. There was something familiar about it – and the something that felt like a step forward at the same time.
“It’s always in the back of my mind: What’s something I haven’t done that’s not going to make people go, ‘What does he think he’s doing?'”
Shelton is “grateful” for his time on ‘The Voice’ but wants to be regarded a country singer rather than a TV star.
He said: “I really, and I mean really indulged in not being on a television show anymore.
“It’s just been great for me to get back in the mode of, ‘Hey, I’m a country singer first.’ That’s what I left Ada, Oklahoma when I was a teenager to go be. I never want to get that far away from what I feel like I’m meant to do ever again.”

Josh Brolin sleeps with nicotine pouches

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Brolin sleeps with nicotine pouches in his mouth.
The 56-year-old actor has revealed that he is constantly using the pouches after he gave up chewing tobacco and sometimes does so without even realising.
Josh told the WTF with Marc Maron podcast: “I have a pouch in my lip, and I’m not f****** lying, 24 hours a day. Then I started taking them out and putting them on the bedside table.”
Imitating a chewing sound, the ‘Dune’ star added: “My wife would hear this in the middle of the night. I don’t even know I’m doing it, I’m asleep.”
Josh explained that he would rather use nicotine lozenges but had to stop as they had a devastating impact on his oral hygiene.
He said: “They go away in two seconds, but they taste like gasoline, and there’s a punch to them.
“But I used to keep them up between my gum and my tooth line. I got seven cavities. That’s why I switched to (pouches). There’s a ton of sugar (in lozenges).”
Brolin’s need for the pouches is so great they he even ended up using a dubious variety whilst filming a project in the Middle East.
The ‘No Country for Old Men’ actor recalled: “We’re in Jordan. And (this guy) comes up to me, and he says, ‘I have some.’ And it has a skull and crossbones on the top… And it’s 40 milligram packets. And I said, ‘I can’t do that.’
“And then one day, I start running out, and I haven’t quite run out, I probably have four or five more tins (of my usual pouches left). And I have his thing in my pocket, and I’m running back from the gym.”
Josh added: “I stick the thing in my mouth for no more, and I swear to God on my kids, for no more than 20 seconds, and I had to cancel dinner that night. I literally was s******* my brains out.”

‘Nothing I could do would be enough’: SZA was daunted by headlining Glastonbury

OHMYGOSSIP — SZA was “scared” of playing at Glastonbury.
The 35-year-old singer’s headline set at the Worthy Farm Festival earlier this year was dogged by sound issues and she admits that “nothing” she could do would be impressive enough for the famous event.
SZA told the December issue of British Vogue magazine: “I just felt like nothing I could do would be enough for Glastonbury, no matter what I did.
“It scared me. I was like, well, I wish I wasn’t doing it, but I couldn’t walk away from it…”
The star – whose real name is Solana Rowe – admits that she didn’t want to turn down the chance to follow Beyonce as a solo black female headliner at the festival.
SZA said: “(I wanted) to be the second black woman in history, but then it’s such a f****** tall order.
“It’s like, no matter what you do here, you will be subject to criticism. Because of who you are. But that’s life. That’s life, you know?”
The ‘Kill Bill’ hitmaker explained that she “grapples” with fame on a daily basis and has often debated whether she should remain in the music industry.
SZA explained: “Maybe I’m just not meant to be famous – I’m crashing and burning and behaving erratically.
“It’s not for me because I have so much anxiety. But why would God put me in this position if I wasn’t supposed to be doing this? So I just keep trying to rise to that occasion. But I’m also just like, ‘Please, the occasion is beating my ass’.”
The artist has previously discussed her methods of therapy and has now found comfort in yoga and meditation.
She said: “You don’t have to imagine anything is happening to you. In that weird stillness, something arrives at you every time.”

Selena Gomez connected to Mexican identity through Emilia Perez role

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez forged a deeper connection with her Mexican identity by starring in ‘Emilia Perez’.
The 32-year-old star plays the role of Jessi Del Monte in the Spanish-language movie and explained that the part was “meaningful” as she has Mexican heritage on her father Ricardo’s side of the family.
Selena told Entertainment Weekly of performing in Spanish: “I just wanted to know that I could do it.
“What’s really difficult about my position is that I am really surrounded by predominantly white English-speaking people. So, to be a part of something like this was truly meaningful because I’m very proud of who I am.
“I may not be fluent, but that doesn’t make me less proud or less Mexican in my eyes. I think it’s about what my last name has always meant to me: it’s my family. It’s everything that’s a part of me.”
The former Disney star hopes that she will be able to speak Spanish in a future role as she fears her grasp of the language could diminish if she isn’t talking in it regularly.
Selena said: “Everyone around us was speaking Spanish mainly, and when you’re not around that, it’s definitely hard to keep it going. That’s the only bummer thing for me personally, but I hope it’s not my last project I do in Spanish. It is something that I feel I’ve gotten better at.
“I can understand a whole conversation now, so be aware of what you say in front of me.”
The ‘Only Murders in the Building’ actress continued: “I think I’ll always want to do something, and this was just a taste of it. I was so excited, and the result was life-giving.
“I feel like whether it’s music or if it’s a part of a show or a movie, I am completely open. I would love that. The more I learn, the better it is for my soul.”

Luke Newton made lifestyle changes to reflect his leading role in Bridgerton

OHMYGOSSIP — Luke Newton transformed his lifestyle as he took a central role in ‘Bridgerton’.
The 31-year-old actor portrays Colin Bridgerton in the Netflix Regency drama and underwent physical changes to reflect the leading part he had in the third season of the show which aired earlier this year.
Luke told People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive issue: “It was part of the preparation going into season three that I really wanted to feel like there was a difference, not only emotionally and in this experience that he’d had, but also physically.
“It kind of completely changed my lifestyle. And there were also parallels in that I turned 30 on set while we were shooting, so it felt like we were kind of going through a similar journey.”
Newton’s alter ego had prominent sideburns in the latest series and he admits that it caused him problems in everyday life despite the meticulous effort he had put in to grow them correctly.
He said: “We were very, very proud of those. It took us hours to really work those out, work out the exact shape, the line that we wanted.
“For me, I guess I took inspiration from Jonathan Bailey from the previous season, how he had those strong sideburns that felt very sort of well shaped and groomed, and I really wanted that. I don’t know, it was just fun to explore.
“The only thing is in normal life, it didn’t really go with anything, like if I’m in the coffee shop on a Sunday morning, you can kind of spot a Bridgerton from a mile away if you see those sideys!”
Luke admits that getting into costume has a transformative effect when working on the show.
He explained: “I think I had a moment going into the new season where I was like, ‘It’s been a while now. How am I going to get back into this?’ But I kind of just trusted the process of knowing as soon as I put my first costume on that it would change everything. And it does every time, no matter how many sort of rehearsals or script reads that we do. It really does just change when you get into those costumes.”

Lady Gaga opted for fish and chips over fancy food spread on UK visit

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga ordered fish and chips during a recent visit to the UK.
The 38-year-old pop star is believed to have snubbed fancy food laid on by her record company Universal in favour of the traditional British meal as she made a brief stop in London to record some new music last week.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Gaga secretly flew into the UK after the US election and stopped off in London to record some new music.
“When she got to the studio, Universal had laid on a posh spread for her but she had other ideas.
“Gaga asked her team to head out into the capital and get her a proper British chippy tea of fish, chips, and curry sauce.”
The ‘Poker Face’ hitmaker then travelled to Ireland to shoot a cameo appearance in the second series of the Netflix comedy horror series ‘Wednesday’ after her 2011 song ‘Bloody Mary’ went viral after being featured in the show’s first season.
Meanwhile, Gaga recently described how she was in a “new place” in her life having enjoyed success in the fields of both music and acting.
The ‘Joker: Folie a Deux’ star told People magazine: “I’m in a new place.
“I’ve been in the music industry since I was a teenager. And I’ve been working in the film industry for the last 10 years or so.
“And, you know, I think that I just went through a lot.
“I feel really grateful for the career that I’ve had.
“And I feel so grateful for my fans. Also, I think I had a lot of trouble with it at one point.
“I just feel a lot better now, and it’s nice to be able to say that. I feel really grateful to be able to say that.”

Cynthia Erivo could identify with her ‘odd one out’ Wicked character

OHMYGOSSIP — Cynthia Erivo related to her part in ‘Wicked’ as she has always felt like an outsider.
The 37-year-old star plays the role of Elphaba in the two-part movie adaptation of the hit musical of the same name and noted that she and her alter ego were alike as they are a “bit different” to everybody else.
Speaking on ‘The View’, Cynthia said: “When I first saw it a good few years ago, I felt like I recognised something in the character, the feeling of being on the outside, being a bit different, not fitting in.
“And I guess there was something about it that felt familiar, and I felt like it was important to be a part of the storytelling, because I could understand it well.”
The ‘Harriet’ star has always thought of herself as “different” and hopes that others who feel the same way are inspired when they see Elphaba in the film.
She said: “I think I’m a bit of an odd one out often. I walk into the room, and especially in this particular field of work, I’m different.
“There aren’t many who look like me. I stick out, I’m an odd one out.
“I hope that people see Elphaba and understand if they feel different, and if they feel like they’re on the outside, that that only makes them more special.”
Cynthia stars opposite pop star Ariana Grande in the movie and explained how she developed an immediate “connection” with the chart-topper.
She told ‘Extra’: “When we found out we were doing this, I asked her to come around and just chill. We organised it together and she came to my house. We sat on my floor and chatted for hours and hours and hours.
“I think in that moment, we both realised that we had something, like an immediate sort of connection.”

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello ‘haven’t been the closest’ lately

OHMYGOSSIP — Shawn Mendes admits he and ex-girlfriend Camila Cabello “haven’t been the closest” lately.
The ‘Nobody Knows’ singer, 26, recently stated that he considers the 27-year-old ‘Havana’ hitmaker – who he split from in November 2021 after two years of dating – “one of [his] closest best friends”, however, he has now admitted that though they will always share a special bond, they have drifted apart over the past “couple of years”.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, he said: “I think we haven’t been the closest over the last couple of years, but I think we really know each other.
“We spent a lot of time together; we really know each other’s hearts. Even when all the sound and all the noise is happening, we can kinda see through each other’s bull**** pretty easily. And it’s just nice to have that.”
Shawn admitting the pair haven’t been the closest lately comes after he admitted he gets frustrated at speculation they are “against each other” because she remains someone he can confide in.
He told the New York Times newspaper: “I have nerves just even speaking about it, just what people would say.
“But honestly, if something was to happen in my family and if something was to happen to me, she’d probably be the first person I call, to this day.
“Our relationship is teaching me what love means, in a big way.”
In 2022, Shawn abruptly cancelled a two-year international tour of more than 80 dates amid mental health struggles as he was “severely depressed” and no longer felt like himself.
He reflected: “The shows I could get through and find beauty in them.
“But when I would step offstage, I just didn’t recognise myself.
“I was a shell — like talking to a wall.”
Today (15.11.24), Shawn has released his deeply personal self-titled LP ‘Shawn’ and previously described music as “like medicine”.
Sharing a trailer for the follow-up to 2020’s ‘Wonder’, he wrote: “Music really can be medicine. 2 years ago I felt like I had absolutely no idea who I was. A year ago I couldn’t step into a studio without falling into complete panic. So to be here right now with 12 beautiful finished songs feels like such a gift. (sic)”

Kerry Katona splits from Ryan Mahoney over ‘breach of trust’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona split from her fiancé Ryan Mahoney over a “breach of trust”.
The former Atomic Kitten star recently insisted she was still in a relationship with the personal trainer despite her declaring herself to be “single” in a comment posted on Instagram, but she has now revealed Ryan has moved out of the house they shared together and they are “no longer together”.
In her latest column for OK! magazine, she explained: “Last week I spoke about how Ryan and I were having a tough time and now he has moved out of the house.
“We are no longer together, and It’s been a really tough week – I never in a million years thought this would happen. Without going into too much detail, there has been a breach of trust between us.”
She went on to add that she doesn’t know whether the relationship can be salvaged, writing: “I don’t know if we’ll be able to work it out or not, but I do still love him so much. I feel like everything has heaped on recently and it’s so much to deal with, I am really struggling.
“But I know I can get through it no matter what happens, I’ve been through break-ups before and come out the other side, so we just need to see what happens.”
Kerry added she’s been having a tough time dealing with issues in her life including her mum Sue’s health battle and she’s started therapy to help her cope.
She shared: “I am going to some therapy to try and work through some of these issues, I really want to work on myself and take action. I do feel like it’s been such an emotional time recently and none of that has helped my relationship with Ryan either.
“I haven’t been sleeping or eating properly the last couple of weeks and it’s just all got on top of me.”
It comes after Kerry recently sparked reports suggesting she’d split from Ryan when she posted a comment on Instagram next to a video of her and her mum Sue talking to a doctor – and Kerry was adamant she was joking about being single in a bid to cheer her mum up as she battles ill health.
In her previous column for the publication, Kerry shared: “I’m sure you’ll have all read the ‘news’ about me splitting up with Ryan after I flippantly said I was single on my Instagram to make my mum laugh.
“It was a throwaway comment that I made between my mum, my best friend Danielle and me but it all spiralled out of control. If you watch the video on my Instagram, you can hear us talking to the doctor and Danielle left a funny comment underneath asking if he was single. To try and cheer my mum up, I said that I was – but with a laughing face.”
Kerry made the comment about her relationship status after her pal wrote a message asking if the doctor shown in the video is single and the former singer replied: “No, but I am!”

Taylor Swift unlikely to do Thanksgiving with the Travis Kelce again this year

OHMYGOSSIP — Talyor Swift is unlikely to join boyfriend Travis Kelce’s family for Thanksgiving (28.11.24), according to his mom Donna.
The 34-year-old pop superstar spent last Thanksgiving without her beau – who is a tight-end for the Kansas City Chiefs – and due to her “busy” schedule with her ‘Eras Tour’, his mom doesn’t believe she will be joining them this year.
When asked if they were planning a big family feast, Donna insisted they are not doing much as Travis has a football game the following day.
Speaking on the ‘Today’ show, Donna said: “I am going to be at a football game. Travis is playing the day after Thanksgiving. You know, football is always the holidays. It’s football’s family.
“Not that anything’s planned. I think we’re just going to be at the football game.”
And when quizzed on whether the ‘All Too Well’ hitmaker will be joining them, she replied: “She’s kinda busy right now.”
Taylor is in Canada for the final shows of her record-breaking tour with her last date before Thanksgiving being November 23 in Toronto before she is due in Vancouver on December 6.
Last year, Travis put in a mammoth KFC order for Thanksgiving.
The 35-year-old NFL star lives in Missouri and the ‘Anti-Hero’ hitmaker was in South America on tour for the holiday.
Travis swapped the traditional turkey roast for the fast-food chain’s finger lickin’ good fried chicken.
The gigantic order included 56 pieces of KFC fried chicken and 80 hot and spicy wings, plus a stack of sides.
Sharing his holiday plans on his and his brother Jason’s ‘New Heights’ podcast, Travis said: “I’ll be feasting on KFC because I won’t have anybody here.”
Travis’ mom Donna is “not a good cooker” and planned to bake cinnamon rolls instead.
She said: “They’re always my favourite, my go-to. I only can do it a couple (of) times a year because they’re so sugary. So we’ve got rolls, we have muffins, cookies, things like that.”
Donna added that her loved ones would “go get a ham” as they are “not particularly fond of turkey”.
Taylor and Travis made their romance official when they she was spotted cheering him on at The Arrowhead Stadium last September next to his mother and she is regularly in the stands being a supportive girlfriend.

Denzel Washington baffled by royal protocol meeting King Charles

OHMYGOSSIP — Denzel Washington was left baffled by royal protocol when meeting King Charles because he wasn’t sure if he was supposed to shake his hand or not.
The 69-year-old actor was one of the stars who lined up to meet the 76-year-old monarch at the ‘Gladiator II’ premiere in London on Wednesday night (13.11.24) and now it has emerged Denzel was a bit confused about royal handshakes.
In video footage published after the event, Denzel can be seen meeting the king and saying: “I didn’t know if I was supposed to grab you or not, but it’s my pleasure.”
He went on to talk to the head of the royal family about his character in the movie, saying: “I’m … just awful … I’m a lovely man you’ll see. I’m a lovely chap and doing my best.”
Charles then told him: “You’ve been in so many films, it’s fantastic.”
The king also met Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal and director Sir Ridley Scott at the premiere, which was held in London’s Leicester Square.
He arrived at the event in his state Bentley limousine, and posed for photographers on the red carpet, while wearing a black tuxedo with a bowtie.
Queen Camilla missed the screening after she was recently diagnosed with a “seasonal chest infection”.
She was also unable to attend the Remembrance events in London over the weekend. Despite this, Camilla was able to chat to a slew of Hollywood A-Listers at Buckingham Palace prior to the premiere.
She told director Ridley at the event: “I am so sorry I’m not coming tonight. I’d be coughing throughout it.”

Eve Hewson gets her strong work ethic from father Bono

OHMYGOSSIP — Eve Hewson admits no one has any idea how much graft goes on “behind the scenes” for actors and musicians.
The 33-year-old actress – who is the daughter of U2 frontman Bono, 64, and his activist wife Ali Hewson, 63 – says witnessing her rock star dad work all hours of the day for his “entire life” rubbed off on her.
She told Byrdie: “I grew up seeing my dad work all day.
“Every day, from the moment he woke up at five o’clock in the morning, he would get up, write for two hours, and then read, and then start his phone calls. And he did not stop working until he fell asleep at 10 o’clock at night. I’ve seen him do that for my entire life. Of course, when I was younger, he would come home a lot later because they used to record late into the night.”
The ‘Bad Sisters’ star – whose younger brother, Elijah Hewson, 25, is the frontman of indie band Inhaler – says people only see a small snapshot of what makes celebrities successful and insists it’s not all partying and living it up.
She said: “I’ve seen how much work it takes behind the scenes that people don’t understand or recognise. The success people see in magazines or online, or wherever they’re getting their information, is such a small amount of the work actually going on. And that’s been a great training ground for me, to know how much you have to commit yourself to something. And I think a lot of young actors don’t have that knowledge; don’t really understand the amount of work put into the craft. Lady Gaga is not actually out partying all the time. She’s working her a*** off.”
Eve continued: “Okay, Charli XCX is maybe out a little bit more than Lady Gaga, but she’s not actually partying all the time. These people work. They’re dedicated to their craft. But you only see a tiny bit of that when they become successful.”
