Rod Stewart considers selling beloved sports cars due to Britain’s pothole-plagued roads

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Rod Stewart says he “may” have to give up his “five beautiful sports cars” because of Britain’s pothole-plagued roads.
The 79-year-old music legend has been vocal about the state of the nation’s roads, even getting his shovel out and fixing them himself, and he’s gutted that he is having to seriously consider selling the beloved motors.
Alongside a snap of him standing in front of his Ferrari and Porsche collection, he wrote on Instagram: “I am extremely fortunate and eternally grateful to be the owner of these five beautiful hybrid sports cars, which, in my opinion, are true ‘works of art.
“Unfortunately, because of the potholes on our roads, I may have to find new owners for them.
“I’ve been driving these iconic Italian cars since the seventies, and I absolutely love and adore them.”
The ‘Sailing’ hitmaker warned his critics that he won’t be reading their comments.
He signed off: “This post is for my fans—thank you, as you are the sole reason I own them. And to all the trolls… don’t bother; I never read the comments.”
In 2022, the Faces star clashed with Essex County Council over the state of his local roads, with Rod previously moaning that potholes were damaging his Ferrari – and the local council subsequently agreed to relay the surface.
A source told The Sun newspaper at the time: “It seems his publicity has finally shamed the council into fixing the road.
“Sir Rod is going to be absolutely chuffed. Good for him.”
In March, Rod took to social media in a bid to highlight the issue.
The chart-topping musician filmed himself fixing potholes and complaining about the state of the roads in his neighbourhood.
In one of the videos posted on Instagram, he said: “People are bashing their cars up. The other day, there was an ambulance with a burst tyre. My Ferrari can’t go through here at all.”
The ‘Maggie May’ hitmaker explained that the road had been in a state of disrepair “for ages” and so he decided to take matters into his own hands.
He said: “This is the state of the road near where I live in Harlow and it’s been like this for ages. So me and the boys thought we would come and do it ourselves.”
In response, an Essex County Council cabinet member promised to investigate the issue.

Taylor Swift thanks fans for earning her six Grammy nods

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift has thanked her fans after she scored an “unbelievable” six Grammy nominations for ‘The Tortured Poets Department’.
The 34-year-old pop megastar has received nods for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Music Video for ‘Fortnight’, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for ‘Us’ featuring Gracie Abrams.
And reacting to the nominations for the first time, Taylor insisted it wouldn’t be possible without her loyal Swifties.
Speaking at her concert in Toronto, Canada on Thursday (14.11.24), she began: “You guys did something so amazing over the course of the last few months.
“I just mean what you did with embracing The Tortured Poets Department, the album. It’s truly blown my mind because its really emotional for me … this album, I wrote it during the Eras Tour.”
The ‘Anti-Hero’ hitmaker is grateful to her fans for “understanding” the themes on her surprise LP – which she made amidst her ongoing ‘Eras Tour’.
She continued: “I wrote that album, made that album, all [while] trying to keep it a secret from you guys. And then announced the album, and then we basically were, like, working really hard to secretly put together a new chapter in the Eras Tour of The Tortured Poets Department and we wanted to surprise you with it, and we did.
“And you guys have been so wonderful about getting into this album and really understanding where I was coming from with it and you made it by far, the biggest debut week I’ve ever had of an album. And you kept that album at number one for nearly four months.
“And the most recent thing that you did, because everything that happens is a direct reflection of the passion that you show, is you guys got this album nominated for six Grammys. It’s so unbelievable, so thank you.”
The Grammys take place in Los Angeles on February 2, 2025, and Beyonce leads the way with a whopping 11 nominations.

Kate Moss hated topless shoots as a teenager

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Moss hated topless photoshoots when she was a teenager because she felt self-conscious about a mole on her breast.
The supermodel was discovered at the age of 14 and shot to fame after posing semi-clothed for famed photographer Corinne Day in a shoot which featured in The Face magazine – but Kate admits she cried when faced with the prospect of stripping off on camera.
During an appearance on Bella Freud’s ‘Fashion Neurosis’ podcast, she explained: “At a very young age, I started working. I started doing pictures topless and I was very, very conscious of … I have a mole on my right t** and I hated it so much I would cry. I never wanted to show [it] …
“I never wanted to be topless. I would cry and I had to get over it because the photographer would be, like, ‘If you don’t do this, I’m not going to book you for the next job’, so I had to get over it. And so then I was like, nobody really gives a s*** about my mole.
“I think as a model you can’t be very self conscious because you’re body’s not your own when you’re a vessel for somebody else’s imagination.”
When asked if the photographer she mentioned was Day, Kate replied: “[Yes] … I was 15 and topless in a magazine, and I was still in school and luckily, The Face wasn’t sold in Croydon, so I don’t think anyone really saw it, but … they heard about it.
“They took the p*** out of my brother [saying] ‘Your sister’s got her t*** out’. He probably suffered more than I did about it … ”
She added of the shoot with Day: “I think at the time, it was very closed … It was me, Corinne, Drew Jarett, the hairdresser, and Dick Page, the make-up artist. So the boys … I would make Drew turn around because he was straight and I was, like, ‘I’m not having him look at me’ … I was really shy.
“But it was like family … Even after that shoot I did cry a lot about taking my clothes off a lot … I didn’t want to do it.”
Kate went on to reveal she went on to do a lot of topless work, adding: “I had to get over the whole t** thing and then everyone wanted my t*** out even though I had such a phobia about them … For a long time I would do shoots and I would have no top on .. Because I was so flat-chested, it wasn’t vulgar … and I had a big mole, it was different.”

Sir Ridley Scott keeps ‘candles, matches and guns’ in case of AI apocalypse

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Ridley Scott keeps a supply of “candles, matches and guns” at home just in case the world is plunged into a crisis by AI technology.
The ‘Blade Runner’ director – who lives in Los Angeles – is convinced society is heading for a fate even worse than the world shown in his 1982 sci-fi movie and he wants to make sure he is prepared for an emergency at all times.
In an interview with his ‘Gladiator II’ star Paul Mescal for the Guardian newspaper, Ridley explained: “The world in ‘Blade Runner’ is run by two people and we’re heading in that direction, if not worse.
“And with AI, the first thing you ask of it is to design an AI smarter than itself. Then you get one smarter than you are. At what moment do you overload it with so much information it gets pressure?
“Pressure is emotion. And when that thing’s emotional, we are in trouble. If the AI doesn’t like us, we’re in deep s***. They could switch us off for fun.”
He added: “You’d be medieval in six weeks. You switch that off and we are so helpless it’s crazy. Have you got candles in your house? Have you got matches?
“I have candles, matches and guns because I live in LA. Do I ever want to use a gun? God forbid no, but you ought to be always slightly conscious of where the world is going right now.”
Ridley went on to insist he does let his imagination run wild, but there’s no harm in being ready for the worst case scenario especially given the turbulent political situations elsewhere in the world.
He shared: “My imagination runs a little bit ahead of me. I see the pitfalls. And right now you’ve got many terrible situations in Europe and north Africa and east Asia. They’re playing games.”

New King Charles photo unveiled to mark monarch’s birthday

OHMYGOSSIP — A new picture of King Charles has been released in honour of the monarch’s birthday.
The king turned 76 on Thursday (14.11.24) and Buckingham Palace has shared a photo of him to mark the occasion, in which he wears a suit, white shirt and blue patterned tie, with one hand in his pocket and the other resting on a chair.
It was posted on the Royal Family’s X and Instagram accounts along with a birthday cake emoji and the caption: “Wishing His Majesty The King a very Happy Birthday today.”
And the king’s son and daughter-in-law, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, shared a funny photo of Charles to accompany their birthday wishes.
The picture was taken from the king’s recent tour of Australia and Samoa and featured him wearing sunglasses and a floral garland.
The Instagram post was simply captioned: “Wishing a very Happy Birthday to His Majesty the King!”
Despite it being his birthday, the king – who has been undergoing cancer treatment this year – is treating it as a normal working day and will be marking the official opening of a surplus food hub in London.
Charles will be joined by the city’s mayor, Sadiq Khan, for a tour of the first Coronation Food Hub in Deptford, before then attending the surplus food festival being staged to mark the occasion.
He will also virtually open a second facility in Merseyside.
The king’s wife, Queen Camilla, had hoped to join him on the visit but is still recovering from a chest infection.
In honour of the king’s birthday, bells will be rung at Westminster Abbey, where he was crowned in 2023.
And gun salutes will be fired in Green Park by The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery and at the Tower of London by the Honourable Artillery Company.

Jonathan Bailey has great mentor in Sir Ian McKellen

OHMYGOSSIP — Jonathan Bailey “couldn’t wish for” a better mentor than Sir Ian McKellen.
The ‘Wicked’ actor struck up a bond with the ‘Lord of the Rings’ star when they worked together in a stage production of ‘King Lear’ in 2017 and he’ll always be grateful for the subsequent advice and guidance he’s been offered by the screen legend.
He told Vanity Fair magazine’s Hollywood issue: “Ian McKellen was wildly amazing, and I did ‘King Lear’ with him. He was one of the first people to come to see me when I did ‘Cock’ on the West End, and we went for a drink afterwards.
“He was so clear about how it might play out, and should it play out that way, what to be excited about and what to be aware of. I couldn’t wish for a better role model.”
The 36-year-old actor has found he gets recognised increasingly more when out in public and though it can be “amazing”, he admitted it has taken some getting used to.
He said: “It’s funny – obviously, you do get recognised, but the ‘Bridgerton’ of it all is really interesting, because it’s one thing to be on a show that is national, but I feel like I was more recognized outside of the UK than in the UK.
“It takes time to adjust to, it really does. It’s not an easy thing, but it also is amazing.”
Meanwhile, Jonathan also admitted to an unusual party trick – his “dexterous toes”.
He said: “Nothing about this goes well…I just remember entertaining my sisters by being able to pick things up with my toes, but like a monkey. But we probably don’t need to put that in writing.”
The ‘Fellow Travelers’ actor also confessed to being “quite naughty”.
He said: “I’m not a rule breaker, I just don’t really adhere. Do you know what I mean? If someone says, don’t do that, I won’t not do it. Probably people would always have said I was probably quite naughty.”

Whoopi Goldberg accuses bakery of declining order due to her political beliefs

OHMYGOSSIP — Whoopi Goldberg has claimed a bakery refused to make her birthday treats because of her political views.
The ‘Ghost’ actress celebrated turning 69 on ‘The View’ on Wednesday (13.11.24) and after treating the audience to some of her favourite things and enjoying a musical performance from her friend James Monroe Iglehart, she and her co-hosts tucked into a special dessert.
The Charlotte Russe – a trifle-type creation featuring layers of sponge, cream, fruit, and a cherry on top – was one of Whoopi’s mom’s favourites when she was growing up, but the star explained she had had difficulties securing the sweet treats.
She said: “Now, I should tell you, Charlotte Russe has no political leanings, and the place that made these refused to make them for me.
“They said that their ovens had gone down, all kinds of stuff, but folks went and got them anyway, which is why I’m not telling you who made them.
“It can’t be because I’m a woman, but perhaps they did not like my politics.
“But that’s okay, because you know what? Listen, this is my mother’s celebration. Pick these up and celebrate with me and my mom. Thank you everyone for celebrating my birthday today.”
The bakery in question was later identified as Holtermann’s Bakery on Staten Island, who insisted they hadn’t turned down the order “because of political” views, but due to technical issues at the facility.
Owner Jill Holterman told entertainment Weekly: “They’d asked us and we were having trouble with our boilers.”
She explained the ‘Color Purple’ actress initially asked for treats for a 6 November appearance on a talk show and for ‘The View’ this week but she declined the orders because she “didn’t want to make a commitment that I can’t carry through” due to her kitchen issues.
She added: “I said to Whoopi, ‘I can’t do it right now.
“We have so many things going on with my boiler,’ because the building is from 1930, so, when she called me, I had no idea [if we could] be baking everything.”
Jill confirmed an unidentified woman had picked up around 50 Charlotte Russe desserts early on Wednesday morning, which she had been able to make, and stated she wasn’t aware of any connections the person may have had, with regard to ‘The View’ or otherwise.

Josh O’Connor would ‘love to know’ King Charles’ views on The Crown

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh O’Connor would “love to know” what King Charles thought of his work on ‘The Crown’.
The 34-year-old actor played the then-Prince of Wales in seasons three and four of the Netflix regal drama and though he has never met the monarch – who has been undergoing cancer treatment this year – he has a “great affection” for him.
Asked if he’d heard what the king made of his turn in ‘The Crown’, Josh told Vanity Fair magazine’s Hollywood issue: “No, I’m the same as you. I’d love to know. I’ve not heard a thing. I guess he’s been quite busy.
“My heart goes out to him in these times, but I’ve said it many times, I have great affection for him. I don’t know him [but] for the person who I’ve done lots of research on, like a weird stalker. He’s done an awful lot of good, in spite of a pretty bizarre life.”
The ‘Challengers’ actor admitted he initially “wasn’t over excited” about playing Charles because the idea was “very daunting”, but ultimately looked at the role like just another character, rather than a portrayal of a real person.
He said: “These are characters. When I started working on Charles, I wasn’t overly excited at the idea of playing a real person. The prospect of playing someone who exists, particularly someone who is present in our national psyche, was very daunting.
“The one film that I referenced in my head, that I loved, was Todd Haynes on Bob Dylan [‘I’m Not There’]. The reason I love that movie was the conceit that we don’t know who Bob Dylan is. Joe’s Bob Dylan is going to be very different to my Bob Dylan, which is going to be very different to my dad’s Bob Dylan. Whatever he is, let’s put eight actors playing different aspects of Dylan and let’s present it. That’s filmmaking at its finest.
“So with Charles, it was like, I did the research, everything that helps put together a script, but I never see it as having played Prince Charles.
“I just don’t want to feel guilty. This is how I excuse myself.”

John Krasinski won’t read the comments after The Office chat rooms ‘scared’ him

OHMYGOSSIP — John Krasinski refuses to read the comments after ‘The Office’ chat rooms “scared the absolute hell” out of him.
The 45-year-old actor – who played Jim Halpert in the US remake of Ricky Gervais’ iconic sitcom – recalled his early experiences with the idea of people being able to critique however they want on social media.
John – who has been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2024 – told the outlet in his cover story: “I remember on ‘The Office’, the computers we had [at our desks] were live, and that was the early days of like MySpace and IMDb chat rooms and stuff.
“[Jenna Fischer] was super into it and she’d go, ‘Guys, last night’s episode, they loved it and blah blah, blah. And so we’d all jump on.
“One of my first forays down that rabbit hole, I was like, ‘Oh my God, what did they say?’ It was like, ‘Oh dear Lord.’ And I’ve never gone back. I’ve never gone back.”
The ‘IF’ star noted that things are much worse now after social media has become more prevalent since those early days.
He added: “Truly, that scared the absolute hell out of me, those chat rooms in the early days. So I can’t imagine where it’s gone since.”
The ‘A Quiet Place’ filmmaker has become a huge star from ‘The Office’ and beyond, and he can still remember the first time he realised his level of fame.
He recalled: ” “It must have been season two [of The Office] because iPods had come out and I had no idea what an iPod was.
“I remember a guy came up to me on the street and he held up an iPod and he said, ‘Look, you’re on my iPod.’ And the screen was [tiny], and I couldn’t see who it was, but it looked a lot like me.
“And I thought, ‘I don’t know if that’s fame or if that person’s going to kill me, but either way, that person knows me and that’s a stranger.’ So that was that was a big, big moment.”
Meanwhile, John has admitted he thought he was being pranked when he was told he’d be receiving People’s annual Sexiest Man Alive accolade.
Asked about his reaction, he said: “Just immediate blackout, actually. Zero thoughts. Other than maybe I’m being punked.
“That’s not how I wake up, thinking, ‘Is this the day that I’ll be asked to be Sexiest Man Alive?’ And yet it was the day you guys did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me.”

DWTS’ Sharna Burgess ‘never imagined’ becoming famous

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharna Burgess “never dreamed” of becoming famous through ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
The 39-year-old star serves as a professional on the ABC dancing competition and is also known for her relationship to former ‘90210’ actor Brian Austin Green – with whom she has two-year-old son Zane – but initially thought her life was going to be completely different when she was growing up in Australia.
She told TooFab: “It’s wild, I grew up in Australia thinking I was going to be a world champion ballroom dancer, own a dance studio in probably Wagga Wagga [outback Australia] and that was my life.
“And somehow life took a completely different turn. I got asked to be on what is one of the biggest shows on television still nearly 20 years later. That is a dream I never knew I could have. If you told me that when I was 18, I would have laughed at you.”
Sharna believes that the global dance franchise has changed things “for the better” in her life because growing up she always felt as if she could never be honest about her talent or passion because the disciple of ballroom was seen as being so old-fashioned.
She added: “‘Dancing with the Stars’ changed that for everybody. It became cool to do it.
“Kids on TikTok are learning ballroom dancing moves right now. That’s insane. And it’s amazing at the same time. And that’s all because of ‘Dancing with the Stars’. I don’t think anyone could have predicted that would be a thing.”#
Prior to becoming engaged to Sharna, Brian, 51, was married to ‘Transformers’ actress Megan Fox – with whom he has – who already has Noah, 12, Bodhi, ten, and Journey, eight and after she announced the news that she is now expecting a baby with Machine Gun Kelly, the dancer was quick to congratulate her.
Alongside a photo of her naked body covered in black paint to reveal her blossoming baby bump and a snap of her positive pregnancy test, Megan wrote on Instagram: “nothing is ever really lost. welcome back [baby and heart emojis] (sic)”
Sharna has since re-posted Megan’s baby bump picture to her Instagram Story and wrote: “Welcome little one, we are all so excited to meet you.
“Congratulations Mama.”

Glen Powell warns Hollywood is harder now for struggling actors

OHMYGOSSIP — Glen Powell has warned Hollywood has become even more difficult for “struggling” actors.
The ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ actor was grateful in his 20s to land small bit parts in TV shows and movies because they could keep him “afloat” for lengthy periods of time but he doesn’t think it’s the same these days.
He told Vanity Fair magazine’s Hollywood issue: “That’s the other interesting thing about this business right now—how much it’s changing. The business no longer supports struggling actors the way it did when I was kind of coming up. I would do an episode of ‘NCIS’, and that would keep me afloat for a year. You know what I mean?
“My overhead’s not high. You’re not living a lavish lifestyle. You’re hiding a flask in your boot if you go out for a drink. You’re not necessarily able to afford anything significant in that town, but you are able to stay there.
“Those little jobs, like getting a commercial, keep life in the system.”
One such job for Glen was playing a stock trader in 2012’s ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ and he will “never forget” how it felt walking on set for such a high-profile movie and how “validated” he felt when cast by director Christopher Nolan.
Asked what he remembered about the film, he said: “I remember everything. You never forget the feeling. It’s something I carry to every set I walk on now, which is just the reverence for being on a set in general.
“But I remember on ‘Dark Knight Rises’ the feeling of being able to walk onto a set and you knew everybody in the world wanted to be on that set, right?
“Even though it was a small role, I auditioned several times for it. I was getting to work with the greatest director on the planet, Christopher Nolan. And you’re sitting there and all of a sudden Tom Hardy walks in as Bane. It’s electric. It’s sort of out-of-body.
“That was one of those movies when nothing was going on in my life. I was just fighting for every inch.
“And when Christopher Nolan casts you in his movie, it’s a validation that’s hard to explain.
“And I’ve talked to Chris about this. We’ve run into each other at different things. I saw him during his amazing ‘Oppenheimer’ run, and he’s very proud that he plucked me early. I’m just very grateful that he took a shot.”

Eva Longoria glad to escape ‘dystopian’ United States for Mexico and Spain

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Longoria feels “privileged” to live in Spain and Mexico instead of the “dystopian” United States.
The 49-year-old star and her husband José Bastón – who have six-year-old son Santiago together – have split their time between the two after Eva grew disillusioned and disappointed with California.
She told Marie Claire magazine: “I’m privileged. I get to escape and go somewhere. Most Americans aren’t so lucky.
“They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.”
The ‘Desperate Housewives’ actress noted she spent her “whole adult life” in and around Los Angeles, but noticed things “changing” years ago.
She added: “The vibe was different. And then Covid happened, and it pushed it over the edge.
“Whether it’s the homelessness or the taxes, not that I want to s*** on California — it just feels like this chapter in my life is done now.”
Eva was bitterly disappointed to see Donald Trump beat Kamala Harris in the recent presidential election, but she “would like to think” the fight will continue.
Describing the US as “a scary place”, she claimed: “If he keeps his promises, it’s going to be a scary place.”
She also hit out the “strained relationship” between the US and Mexico, particularly with some people in the States calling for the wall on the boarder despite enjoying much of its southern neighbour’s culture.
She said: “I feel like the strained relationship between us and Mexico needs to be repaired, and I think culture and food can easily celebrate the best things of a country.
“The people who were screaming, ‘Build that wall!’ are the same people that are going to Taco Tuesday.
“And I’m like, ‘No, no, no. You don’t get to margarita out and s*** on the culture that gave you the taco and gave you the margarita. You have to go, ‘This came from there. There must be good things.’ ”

Fulll House star Dave Coulier is ‘OK’ with the idea of death following his cancer diagnosis

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Coulier has made peace with the fact that this “could be the end” following his cancer diagnosis.
The 65-year-old actor – who is best known for starring as Joey Gladstone on the classic ABC sitcom ‘Full House’ – recently announced that he is suffering from stage three Non-Hodgkin lymphoma but has already an “incredible life” so has come to terms with the idea of death.
He told Today.com: “I told Melissa I don’t know why, but I [am] OK with whatever the news [is] going to be no matter how devastating. I can’t explain where that came from.
“I’ve had an incredible life.
“I’ve had the most amazing people in my life. This has been an extraordinary journey, and I’m OK if this is the end of the journey.”
But when Dave first received the news that he was suffering from the disease, he admitted that it felt like he had been “punched in the stomach” and had never imagined it actually happening to him.
“The first thing I said to them was, ‘Wait a minute — cancer?’ “I was feeling like I got punched in the stomach because it never happens to you.
“You always hear about it happening to someone else.”
Dave was diagnosed with the form of blood cancer in October after an upper respiratory infection led to swelling in his lymph nodes, and medics immediately conducted PET and CT scans and a biopsy.
The ‘Surreal Life’ star – who was previously married to Jayne Modean and has 24-year-old son Luc with her but has now been married to Melissa Bring for a decade – underwent a test to check for cancer cells within his bone marrow and when that came back negative, he felt a flash of optimism as his chances of survival increased.
He said: “We all kind of put our heads together and said, ‘Okay, where are we going?’ And they had a very specific plan for how they were going to treat this?
“At that point, [when the test came back negative] my chances of curable went from something low to 90% range. And so that was a great day.”
Dave started chemotherapy two weeks after his diagnosis and shaved his head as a “preemptive strike”so he could tackle the whole ordeal “head-on”.
Speaking on the ‘Full House Rewind’ podcast, he told co-host Marla Sokoloff: “I started the podcast wearing a hat, and I said, I’ve always been a man of many hats, but this hat has special significance because a couple of weeks ago, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
“That was really a conscious decision of, I’m going to meet this head-on, and I want people to know it’s my life. I’m not going to try and hide anything. I would rather talk about it and open the discussion and inspire people.”

Hoda Kotb’s Today Show replacement revealed

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Melvin will be the initial replacement for Hoda Kotb on ‘The Today Show’.
The 60-year-old journalist has anchored the NBC morning programme alongside Jenna Bush Hager since 2018, but she is to step down early next year and fellow broadcaster Craig, 45, will take over alongside Savannah Guthrie.

Probably somewhere January, February.”

Gwen Stefani grateful for ‘miracle’ second marriage to Blake Shelton after Gavin Rossdale divorce

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwen Stefani considers it a “miracle” that she found love with Blake Shelton after her split from Gavin Rossdale.
The 55-year-old singer married the country star in 2021 and was delighted to get a second chance at wedded bliss after being “crushed” by the 2015 separation that ended her 20-year relationship with the Bush frontman.
Gwen told People magazine: “Something that I wanted since I was a little girl is to be married and have this love that I saw my parents have and have babies.
“That dream was completely ruined; it was crushed, and I had to figure out how I was going to move forward and make a new dream, and God putting Blake in my life was just that miracle.”
The No Doubt frontwoman confessed that her spilt with Rossdale was made even more painful as she had hoped to imitate the “perfect example” of love set by her parents.
Gwen – who has sons Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 10, with her former husband – said: “Especially growing up with this perfect example of love between my parents. They met when they were 15, and they fell in love, and then they had us (children), and they made us feel like we were everything to them.
“And when you have a family and it’s the opposite of that, it breaks up… I didn’t know what to do or how to protect my children. And I’m still working on that.”
Gwen’s new album ‘Bouquet’ is released on Friday (15.11.24) and she admits that it contains some very personal material.
She said: “I definitely think that there’s certain songs that they don’t mean the same thing to me as they would mean to somebody else, because nobody’s in my brain or in my heart or in my soul. They’re going to have a different experience through the song.”
