Colin Farrell sported fake ‘penguin penis’ in new show

OHMYGOSSIP — Colin Farrell had a prosthetic “penguin penis” for ‘The Penguin’.
The 48-year-old actor is virtually unrecognisable as Oz Cobb in the new HBO series and he praised the extensive work put in by his make-up artist Mike Marino, who spent three hours a day on the star’s transformation having previously done the same when he first played the role in 2022’s ‘The Batman’.
Colin told People magazine: “I had a bodysuit, so I was basically covered wrist to ankle. Only things that were me were my hands and feet. Everything else, including ears, were pieces. Everything was covered.
“If it wasn’t for Mike’s design, I’m telling you now, if it was just me with a f****** cigarette and a top hat and a bit of a limp and an umbrella that was a machine gun, we wouldn’t have had the HBO show.”
Of a scene that required him to be naked, he added: “Marino is so twisted and brilliant. He was like, ‘I made you a penguin penis.’
“I said, ‘Really? They’re not even going to see it. I don’t know if I want to walk on set with a penguin penis.’ And he was like, ‘No, no, no, dude. It’s detachable, it’s Velcro. It’s got a beak at the end of it.’ So I had a penguin penis.”
The biggest part of the actor’s bodysuit was around his shoulders and back.
He explained: “That was kind of the anchor and it came up to the chin. And then the bodysuit would go under it. They were nice enough to give me a hump as well.”
And despite the time and effort his look took every day, Colin was “never bored” because it involved so many different things.
He said: “I mean, by the time we’d get to two hours and 45 minutes, I’d be a little bit…
“Because they had to spray paint like seven different pieces, ball cap, wig on top of ball cap, and then they’d get into spraying every little pockmark, every little zit, every little crease, every little scar.”
The Irish star was amazed by his transformation when he saw it for the first time.
He said: “I couldn’t believe it, yeah. I’d never done anything like it. You’re moving your face and seeing what happens. I knew expressions manifested a particular way through the mask and how beautifully it was designed, so I just went for it.”

However, the singer admitted her gruelling schedule takes a toll on her social life and she rarely gets to spend time with her friends when she’s busy working.
She explained: “I never get to see my friends because I’m constantly either tired or working, so when I have some time off, being the 28-year-old Jennie is the best thing I could ask for.”
It comes after Jennie had to issue an apology after she was caught on camera vaping indoors. The footage was believed to have been shot in Italy, but the singer issued a statement because vaping indoors is illegal in her native South Korea.
In the interview with the magazine, the singer explained why she felt the need to apologise for her actions, saying: “What can I do? If Korean people think it’s wrong, I’ve got to make up for it … It’s like, I get why you guys are upset. It’s cultural, it’s history. It’s time. And I can’t go against time.”
Jennie previously opened up about the restrictions South Korean stars face during training periods, including having to abstain from alcohol, smoking and even getting tattoos.
She said in their 2020 Netflix documentary ‘Blackpink: Light Up the Sky’: “It’s really harsh. We were not allowed to drink, smoke or get a tattoo.”

Katy Perry wants to mentor young stars

OHMYGOSSIP — Katy Perry has offered to be a mentor to the next generation of pop stars.
The 39-year-old singer – who shot to fame with her 2008 single ‘I Kissed A Girl’ – doesn’t think there’s a lot of people in her position and is keen to help others navigate the “wild ride” of fame.
Speaking on ‘The Zane Lowe Show’ on Apple Music 1, she said: “I’m here if you need to talk to anyone that’s been through what you’ve been through because there’s only a few astronauts out there and you want to talk about what you’ve been through and tell them that, look, you’re riding this rocket now and it’s going to go up. It’s going to go down. You’re holding on for dear life and if you ever need anything, I am here because I have ridden it hard and for a long time.
“It’s been a wild ride. It’s been really fun. I’ve learned so much and I’m just so grateful that I’m still here standing today and this is my job and I’m still celebrating and still bringing life and light and joy and BPM, especially on this record.”
The ‘Woman’s World’ hitmaker – who has three-year-old daughter Daisy with fiance Orlando Bloom – believes she was born to be an “ambassador of love and joy and light”.
She said: “This is my job, this is my purpose. I feel like I was born to be an ambassador of love and joy and light and to give all that and to evolve and maybe evolve in the spotlight so I can be an example of that.
“I really talk about my tools and try and put them out there for people to hear about and to investigate themselves. I think that I was born to, hopefully, get people back out of their head and into their heart, to be more heart centred.”
Katy loved her stint as a judge on ‘American Idol’ because it allowed her to “guide” young hopefuls.
She said: “To help guide them in this way and nurture them. I’ve been fortunate to have a lot of regular talk therapy, and I’ve gotten so much from that, and I’ve been able to give little bits of that in my ‘American Ido’l life, and to really connect with people, and to see them.
“I don’t know. It’s just like, that five times Scorpio that I am, it really allows me to be that intuitive… I really can see what people are going through.”

Brad Pitt: George Clooney is Sexiest Man Still Alive

OHMYGOSSIP — Brat Pitt thinks George Clooney is the “sexiest man still alive”.
The ‘Wolfs’ actor was named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive in 1995 and 2000 and his co-star is also a double winner, taking the honour in 1997 and 2006, and both hunks think they are still looking good in their 60s.
Asked if they have any advice for future holders of the title, Brad, 60, gestured to his pal and quipped: “This is the Sexiest Man Still Alive.”
George, 63, added: “Yes, exactly. That’s going to be starting now. I know. I tried to get AARP to do that for [Pitt,] Sexiest Man Still Alive. I have the T-shirt, by the way. Somebody else got it. Yeah, all I got was a T-shirt.”
The pair have previously worked together on the ‘Ocean’s’ movies and 2008’s ‘Burn After Reading’ and they enjoyed teaming up on screen again.
George said of working with his friend: “I’m too old to hit a curve ball, but I think that’s an automatic, too. Never going to be a straight answer or straight delivery.
“No, from the minute we got there, it was just easy to do it again. The fun part is that all the dialogue of us talking on top of each other was pretty easy to do because it was fun.”
George recently revealed he had pretended to be Brad to prank other celebrities, using stationery purporting to be from the ‘Moneyball’ star.
He told talk show host Jimmy Kimmel: “I sent [a letter] to Tom Cruise, saying they want to do [‘Interview with the Vampire 2’], but this time Brad wants to play Lestat.”
Jimmy laughed: “Brad this afternoon said that Tom called him and said, ‘Yeah, it’s cool, you can play Lestat, that’s fine, I’m OK with that,’ and he was like, ‘What are you talking about?’”
And when it came to Meryl Streep, the former ‘E.R.’ star sent her a gift that ‘Brad’ felt would come in useful for her.
He explained: “I sent [a letter] to Meryl Streep with a box of CDs for dialect and I said, ‘This guy helped me with my accent in Troy and I think it could really help you.’ ”

Demi Moore avoids advising her daughter on how to parent

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Moore doesn’t like to give out unsolicited parenting advice.
The ‘Ghost’ actress, 61 – who has daughters Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30, with ex-husband Bruce Willis, 69 – believes it’s important for her daughter to be given the space to parent in her own way and she will only offer her help if she’s asked.
Appearing on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’, she said of her eldest daughter Rumer and her 17-month-old daughter Louetta: “You know what I have learned? Is that you do not give advice unless you are asked, in general.
“First of all, she is a wonderful mother, and I am so proud of her.
“She is really incredible. And if I am asked, I am happy to share my experience, strength and hope. But if I am not, it is better that I just keep my mouth shut.”
She continued: “As a parent, you have to give your children, I think, the dignity of their own process.
“Sometimes they need to find their own way, even if I’m right, and often I am… but it doesn’t make her wrong.
“Recognising that we are just the managers, we don’t own. We just need to step back… for me I feel like my job is just to love my children and to give them the room to be who they are.”
Demi previously admitted she is enjoying all the “clichés” of being a grandma.
The Hollywood star became a grandmother for the first time when Rumer gave birth to Louetta Isley – whose father is Derek Richard Thomas – in April 2023 and loves having “fun” with the little one.
She told E! News: “She’s just a pure joy. It really is all the cliché. You get all the fun and joy, and you get to go to bed early and have a good night’s sleep.”
Towards the end of last year, ‘House Bunny’ star Rumer admitted that motherhood had “exceeded” all her expectations.
She told People: “Honestly, being a mom is an experience I’ve dreamed about my whole life. And what’s been incredible to experience is that Lou has far exceeded any expectations or any idea or dream that I possibly had. Children are wonderful and these magical, little beings and truly getting to witness and be around them as they discover the world, it’s incredible.”
She also revealed that the little one’s name is a tribute to her ‘Die Hard’ star dad Bruce – who is suffering from frontotemporal dementia – because she was named after his favourite singers.
Speaking during an Instagram Q+A, she said: “I have always loved the name Lou so was thinking of that for both a boy or a girl but then when we found out she was a girl, we came up with Louetta.
“We wanted to give her options and me and my dad’s favourite singers are Lou = Louie Armstrong, Etta = Etta James, Isley = Isley Brothers.”

Imogen Poots worships Kristen Stewart: ‘She’s had a mad life and yet she is one of the most authentic people I’ve ever encountered’

OHMYGOSSIP — Imogen Poots has hailed Kristen Stewart “one of the most authentic people” she’s ever met.
The 35-year-old actress – who is best known for her role as Tammy in 2007 horror flick ’28 Weeks Later’ – leads the cast of the ‘Twilight’ star’s upcoming directional debut, ‘The Chronology of Water’, and relished the opportunity to work with her idol and have her believe in her.
In an interview with The Guardian newspaper about the adaptation of Lidia Yuknavitch’s memoir of the same name, she said: “Kristen and I have been secretly worshipping each other from afar. It’s really something to have someone believe in you that much. She’s had a mad life and yet she is one of the most authentic people I’ve ever encountered. As a director, she is relentless in the best way possible. She put her sweat into this film.”
It’s not the first time Imogen has praised the 34-year-old actress.
Despite it being her first time stepping behind the camera, the ‘A Long Way Down’ star dubbed Kristen “one of the greatest directors” she’s ever worked with.
She told Collider: “She’s really something. She was born to do it. I’m so proud of her.”
Imogen and Kristen are both “incredibly passionate about the project”.
The actress likened them both to “sports coaches” when they’re on set.
Imogen explained: “We’d like shout at each other on set like sports coaches. We were both incredibly passionate about the project and had the same energy around it and the stakes were very high for both of us all the time.”
‘The Chronology of Water’ explores themes such as addiction and self-destruction.
Kristen has been forced to overcome various obstacles to get the project off the ground – but she’s always been committed to the idea.
Imogen shared: “She has just cared about this for so long, and she did it.
“I think it was so hard to get it made because the subject matter and I think at several moments along the way, anyone would think ‘Is this even worth it?’ She kept going. She found the right financiers for the project.
“We didn’t have to censor any of the story because that would have been pointless. She’s done it her way and it’s the only way. I think she’s punk-rock and authentic, and she’s my favourite girl. I think she’s amazing.”

Serena Williams bans young daughter from ‘certain’ social media platforms

OHMYGOSSIP — Serena Williams doesn’t allow her young daughter on “certain” social media platforms.
The 42-year-old retired tennis ace has 12-month-old Adira River and seven-year-old Olympia with Reddit founder husband Alexis Ohanian, 41, and she wants to ensure her little girl is protected from the “scary” online world and is planning to take things “slow” when it comes to her access to electronics.
Speaking to journalist Kara Swisher at the INBOUND conference this week, Serena said: “It’s a digital world for kids right now. I’m always on with my daughter, but we don’t allow her on certain platforms.
It’s so interesting that with everything available online and the access that kids have — in a second, you never know what can come to them.
“I’m trying to think positively. I feel like we might try to take it slow with her and go a little bit slower with electronics, and just let her be a kid for as long as you can.”
When asked by the interviewer if she had any parenting tips, Serena quipped: “Parenting advice? Please give it to me, thank you very much.”
The Olympian added: “Just show up. Wake up. That’s all I do. And I could barely wake up today!”
Serena discussing safeguarding young people online comes after her pal Kim Kardashian revealed she got her young son to sign a strict contract before agreeing to let him have his own YouTube channel.
The 43-year-old reality superstar – who has North, 11, Saint, eight, Chicago, six, and five-year-old Psalm with ex-husband Kanye West – recently saw her second child launch a social media presence.
The Skims founder shared the handwritten contract on her Instagram Story and wrote: “Saint signed a solid contract for his YouTube Channel. He better not breach.”
The document – which was signed by Saint – acknowledged the youngster “agreed to follow mom’s rules.”
It stated: “I am not allowed to comment any personal family information. I am not allowed to film any personal information. I am not allowed to film while North is recording music.”
Kim’s caption then obscured the next few sentences, but it then continued: “I must show my mom or guardian all videos before I post them. I give permission to any grown up if mom says to delete my video for any reason.”
And if Saint breaches the terms, the youngster’s stint on the video platform could be up.
The contract concluded: “If I don’t listen to all of the rules, mom could make my page private or delete my account.”

Cheryl Burke is ‘proud’ to have been celibate for three years

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl Burke says being celibate for three years has taught her “self-respect and self-worth” after years of being a “serial dater”.
The former ‘Dancing with the Stars’ professional’s marriage to ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ actor Matthew Lawrence, 44, ended three years ago, and since then she has embraced being single and is “proud” of her celibacy.
She told Us Weekly: “I’ve definitely built a lot more self-love and self-respect and self-worth. I was a serial dater, so I never was ever, ever single. The thought of living alone or being alone was just not an option. It was just never going to happen in my world.
“I love that I’ve grown so much and that I’m doing it consciously and with an intention.”
The 40-year-old star says lots of people she’s encountered cannot get their head around her being “proud” to be single.
She said: “They’re just like, ‘What?’
“As if I’m speaking a different language completely. Which is so interesting. There is a little bit of, initially I’m thinking, ‘Oh, wait, should I be like?’ But no! Why? I am on that Mya train. Go, Mya.”
She added: “I’ll never forget being interviewed by somebody recently and they’re like, ‘Well, you seem really proud to be single,’ as if it was not like, ‘Are you sure you’re proud?’
“It’s interesting.”
Cheryl is in “no rush” to meet someone and doubts she will ever seek out a suitor on a dating app.
She said: “Never say never, but I have no plans of joining a dating app, and nor do I ever think or see myself looking.
“Even though I need to be better at leaving my house, I still live like a hermit sometimes, but I think it will happen when it happens. When my energy shifts, then I know if it does happen, I’m ready. I’m not in a rush.”
Cheryl previously confessed she fell for several of her partners on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ over the years, but the romances were just based on “lust”.
Speaking on her ‘Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans’ podcast, she said: “It’s not love, right?.
“It is in that moment. Then you’re like, ‘Wait a second, how is this person, like in the real world?'”
The dancer previously revealed she had three “showmances” during her 26 seasons on the show and admitted one involved former pro football player Chad Johnson.
During an appearance on the ‘Amy and T.J.’ podcast, Cheryl admitted: “One of them basically professed his love to me on ‘Ellen DeGeneres’.”
Despite this, the TV star has remained tight-lipped about the identity of the other people she was involved with during her spell on the programme.
As for Matthew, he is now dating TLC star Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas, 53.

Writing in The Spectator, Maureen said: “Later that night my partner David and I decided to tell our children that, with a combined age of 156, we are going to get married.
“‘In truth I had been rather against the ‘M’ word, but on a train coming back from Edinburgh he mentioned that it was the minor festival of Tu B’Av – a day when a Jewish woman can ask a man to marry her.
“Unable to resist the gag, I slid under the table separating us onto one knee and asked him for his hand. To my surprise and slight panic, he gave it.”
Maureen was previously married to TV scriptwriter Jack Rosenthal for 30 years until his death in 2004.

Maureen and David made their first public appearance together at the Oldie Of The Year Awards in November 2023.
She told the Sunday Express newspaper: “It’s a gift for all concerned. It’s a gift and he’s been very nice. I’ve met some nice men in my life, some really interesting men, and we will see where it goes.”

Demi Lovato blames fame for past transgressions

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato has blamed punching a dancer and overdosing on heroin on the “negative impact” of fame.
The 32-year-old singer was arrested in 2010 after punching dancer Alex Welch and Demi had a near-fatal overdose in 2018 which led to three strokes and a heart attack but the star blames fame for the incidents.
Demi told Grazia US: “I didn’t know that it would have such a negative impact on my mental health. And unfortunately, sometimes that looks explosive, like an incident where you punch your backup dancer on an airplane or you overdose from heroin.”
Demi has co-directed the new documentary ‘Child Star’ with Nicola Marsh and explained that working on the film presented the opportunity to try to make amends with those the star had hurt in the past.
Demi said: “Talking to people who knew me at a different time in my life was challenging because I wanted to apologise for my behaviour. I wasn’t the nicest person to work with at times because I was struggling so much internally, and I was under a lot of pressure.
“They were so lovely, so incredible, and so receptive, and I was so grateful for that.”
Speaking previously about ‘Child Star’, Demi told PEOPLE: “This was just a story that I had been wanting to tell for quite some time. I’ve always thought about exploring the history of child stars, and also looking at different points of views and the perspective of what it’s like to be a child star in today’s day and age.
“I’ve been very, very honest in the past and demonstrated that vulnerability throughout my life.
“I’ve shared a lot with people, and [I know] that my experiences don’t define me.”
‘Child Star’ features interviews with Drew Barrymore, JoJo Siwa, Kenan Thompson, Raven-Symoné, Christina Ricci and Alyson Stoner.

Kamala Harris praises Taylor Swift’s courage

OHMYGOSSIP — Kamala Harris respects Taylor Swift’s courage in endorsing her for US President.
The current Vice President and Democratic nominee for President in the upcoming elections was thrilled when Taylor endorsed her campaign and admitted it was a big step for the star to share her support publicly.
She told WIRED she was “very proud to have the support” of Taylor, 34.
Harris went on: “She’s an incredible artist. I really respect the courage that she has had in her career to stand up for what she believes is right.”
Despite their shared political beliefs, Harris joked that she and Taylor – who is currently dating Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce – will never agree on which NFL team to support.
She said: “But we were on different sides of the Super Bowl last year.
“I am a 49ers fan, but who’s mad at anyone for being loyal to their team, right?”
Taylor posted her support for Kamala on Instagram earlier this month, after the US presidential debate between Harris and Donald Trump.
She wrote: “Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.
“Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.
“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.
“I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it’s much easier to vote early. I’ll link where to register and find early voting dates and info in my story.”

Blake Shelton compares Swift romance to him and Gwen

OHMYGOSSIP — Blake Shelton has compared his and Gwen Stefani’s relationship to that of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
The 48-year-old musician met his now-wife Gwen, 54, on ‘The Voice’ in 2014 before tying the knot in 2021 and he thinks there are some similarities between their romance and the yearlong relationship of Taylor and Travis, both 34.
Speaking on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’, Blake said: “I do [believe they will last], and the fact that they’re both just kind of putting it out there in everybody’s face. There’s no sneaking around, or trying to tamp things down or keep it on the down low.
“I think when you’re willing to just come out and just kind of put it in everybody’s face that you’re together and you’re owning it — that’s what Gwen and I did.”
Blake also admitted he is a big fan of Kansas City Chiefs player Travis.
He said: “He’s a standout no matter where he is or what he’s doing. He’s just got this big personality. He’s a funny guy. He walks into the room, and he has a presence there, so there’s never going to be that moment where he’s in the shadows anyway just because of his charisma and his personality anyway.
“He just kind of owns the moment, whatever that is, whether it’s that picture you just had up there at one of her shows, you know? He’s just willing to go there. I love his personality. He’s a ton of fun — his brother too. I’m a fan of both of theirs.”

Matthew Perry’s death makes Friends 30th anniversary ‘a little fraught’

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Friends’ creators believe Matthew Perry’s death makes the show’s 30th anniversary “a little fraught”.
The 54-year-old actor – who plays Chandler Bing in the beloved sitcom – died in October 2023 from the “acute effects” of ketamine in the pool of his Los Angeles home and executive producer Kevin Bright thought he had finally beaten his addictions before his death.
He told the ‘Today’ show: “He’d been fighting the good fight for so long, and it really did feel like, from the [2021] reunion, that he had finally found some peace.”
Creator Marta Kauffman added: “It’s a huge loss, and it does make the 30th a little fraught.”
Her co-creator David Crane added: “He made us laugh every day,” while Bright said: “David always said [Matthew] was the funniest man in a room.”
‘Friends’ premiered in 1994 and ended 10 years later and Kauffman and Crane admitted fans have been begging for a reboot, starring the original characters’ children.
David said: “I would imagine it’s kind of what it must feel like when your kid turns 30 and you’re like, ‘How did that happen?’”
Marta added: “We get that a lot. I get emails about it all the time. Everybody has a great idea, and the great idea is: their kids, grown up, doing a ‘Friends’ show.”
Speaking previously about how fans could celebrate Perry for the show’s 30th reunion, Marta told The Times: “Two things come to mind [about how to celebrate him]: one of them is to donate to drug treatment centers — let’s fight the disease.
“And the second way is to watch ‘Friends’ and remember him not as a man who died like that but as a man who was hilariously funny and brought joy to everybody.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Elle King is now the “best version” of herself after her drunken Dolly Parton tribute.
Earlier this year, the 35-year-old singer caused a scene after performing drunk and shouting profanities at the crowd during a family-friendly Dolly Parton birthday tribute concert at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville but Elle says she has turned her life around since then.
She told PEOPLE: “Try having something bad you did go viral – that was pretty hard. I never thought that a single human being would ever buy a ticket to my show again. But they do.
“I felt so afraid to ever have a drink before I go onstage again because I appreciated someone buying tickets to my concert. I wasn’t going to let them down. I did let people down. And ultimately, I let myself down that day, and I never wanted to feel that ever again … I’m definitely able to put on a better show because of some changes that I’ve made in my life, and it gets me more excited.
“I’m doing things that make me proud of myself. I’ve got a small son. He’s going to find out about all this one day, and he’s going to see that I tried to be just the best version of myself, and I used it to make myself better, and I did. It’s more of a love story of self than anything.
“I’m very happy, I’m very content, which is nice, and I don’t know if I’ve ever really felt that, so it’s a blessing … This is worth all the effort in the world. My family, this is what deserves all the energy and effort. All this other [stuff] is just a plus.”
Elle has just released her new single ‘High Road’ and admitted it was inspired by the events of the past year.
She said: “Since last year, if anything was going wrong or something p***** me off, my manager would say, ‘High Road 2024,’ and that was our theme of like, ‘Take the f****** high road, b****. Be the person that you would hope that you could be through any situation’. And it’s just been a phrase that we’ve used.”
