OHMYGOSSIP — Oti Mabuse will perform on ‘Dancing on Ice’ this weekend.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pro dancer – who confirmed this week she has quit the BBC Latin and ballroom show – will perform a segment of her ‘I Am Here’ tour on screen for the first time since her announcement.
Oti will dance on a special platform above the centre of the ‘Dancing on Ice’ rink, on which ice skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, and the show’s pros, will skate on.
The 31-year-old star – who is a judge on the ITV show – told The Sun newspaper: “I’m so honoured that Jayne and Christopher have choreographed the talented pro skaters for this special performance.
“It’s a dream come true to debut my ‘I Am Here’ tour on ‘Dancing On Ice’ this Sunday!
“This tour will be the end of the most amazing chapter of my life and it’s my way to say thank you to everyone that has supported me on this journey.”
Christopher admitted the collaboration with Oti was “hugely exciting”, and Jayne said she had “so much fun” working with Oti.
She said: “We always love to experiment with new ideas and it was so much fun working alongside Oti on this brand new routine.
“It really does show how much dance and ice skating can work in unison together.”
Earlier this week, Oti confirmed she has quit ‘Strictly’ after seven years, but insisted the programme will always have a special place in her heart.
The star – who is the only professional to have lifted the Glitterball trophy in two consecutive years after winning in 2019 with Kelvin Fletcher and again the following year with Bill Bailey – wrote: “Never easy to say goodbye. I have been part of the most amazing TV show, Strictly Come Dancing for the past seven years and it has been an incredible time.
“Lifting the glitter ball twice and having the best journey with all my celebrities, but also meeting and working with the best team, crew, producers, celebs and incredible professional dancers!
“You are my family and I adore you all forever. Thank you @sarahjamesface @jack.will.g and @jasongilkison for truly believing in me
“I’m honestly so grateful to The BBC and will always remember that Strictly and BBC brought me to the UK – which I now call home and I have learnt and grown so much. – Thank You from the bottom of my heart.

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloe Crowhurst kept her pregnancy news private after previously suffering three miscarriages.
The former ‘Love Island’ star – who shot to fame on the 2017 series of the ITV2 dating show – announced last month she is going to be a mum after an “overwhelming few months”, and the star has now admitted she was under “quite specialist care” when she first fell pregnant this time around.
She said: “With my pregnancy, I didn’t announce it for quite a long time, just because I’ve had very bad experiences in the past with pregnancies and stuff like that.
“I’ve had three miscarriages before, so I was under quite specialist care at first. It wasn’t something I wanted to advertise and cause stress upon.”
Despite her past experiences, Chloe is feeling “chilled” about giving birth.
She said: “I’m not actually worried about it. I don’t know why because I’m not really a chilled person, but since being pregnant I’m very chill.”
Chloe admitted hypnobirthing – a method of pain management that can be used during labour and birth – has been helping her prepare for giving birth.
Speaking on FUBAR Radio, she added: “It was one of those things where I was like do I do it or do I not.
“I don’t really believe in all of that kind of stuff … but it’s all about just being calm, it’s all about your mindset with hypnobirthing and I do believe that obviously having a positive mindset will be helpful to me.”
Last month, Chloe announced she was pregnant in an Instagram post.
She wrote: “2022.. when 2 become 3
We can’t wait to meet you little one
It’s been a overwhelming few months, but I am super excited for the future and creating memories with my own little family (sic)”
Chloe shared a Polaroid picture of her baby scan and another snap of herself holding onto her bump.

OHMYGOSSIP — Robson Green would love to direct a film version of ‘Grantchester’.
The 57-year-old actor portrays DI Geordie Keating in the ITV drama series, and while he would love to take the show to the big screen, he isn’t keen to helm an episode of the programme.
He said: “In my view it’s a young person’s game.”
As well as his acting, Robson is known for being one half of singing duo Robson Jerome alongside Jerome Flynn, with the pair landing several number one singles in the 1990s.
And Robson would love to team up with the ‘Game of Thrones’ star again in an episode of ‘Grantchester’.
He added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Jerome would be great to have in ‘Grantchester’, he’s a fantastic actor.”
His comments come after Robson admitted in 2017 that he and Jerome previously turned down a £1 million offer to resurrect their pop career.
After co-starring in TV series ‘Soldier Soldier’, Simon Cowell signed the pair to a record deal in the 1990s and they sold seven million albums before retiring from the music business.
However, after the pair reunited for Robson’s ITV series ‘Tales From The Coast’, in January 2017, they were offered a huge new record deal but neither of them were keen to take up music again.
Speaking in April 2017, Robson said: “Because of that meeting on TV we had non-stop phone calls from record companies, and I’m talking serious amounts of money, for a reunion.
“But we said: ‘No.’ It’s a phase we went through. The highlight of our music was when we stopped.”

OHMYGOSSIP — James Arthur is to open up about his mental health struggles in a new TV documentary.
The 33-year-old singer – who shot to fame when he won ‘The X Factor’ back in 2012 – will explore the stigma of male mental health issues and investigate the growing dependence some men have on anti-depressants.
He said: “It’s been such a special thing to make. Obviously the subject matter is extremely heavy, so it’s been really difficult to hear from blokes who have had the courage to offer up their stories for the film.”
The ‘Train Wreck’ hitmaker went on to insist that male mental health is a topic in need of “more discussion” and admitted it was “humbling” to be able to share his own struggles for the documentary.
He is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column as saying: “It’s a topic that undoubtedly needs more discussion — male mental health and our reliance as a nation on anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medication. I’ve been there myself, so it’s humbling to be a part of something that is going to shed some light on it.”
‘James Arthur: Out Of Our Minds’ is set to air on the newly relaunched BBC Three later this year, and will follow the singer as he embarks on a UK tour and returns to his home in north east England after spending a decade in London due to his career.
A BBC spokesman said: “We are grateful to James for putting his trust in us to share his story.
“Despite some of the themes the film will explore, we hope it will be full of optimism and will show there is light at the end of the tunnel for people with similar experiences.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dawn French has signed up to do pantomime.
The 64-year-old star – who is known for playing Reverend Geraldine Granger on classic BBC comedy ‘The Vicar of Dibley’ – will take on the role of Dame Trott in ‘Jack And The Beanstalk’ at the London Palladium over Christmas 2022, having initially signed on to do the role back in 2019.
In a statement, she said: “We’ve waited two years!”
Dawn joins a host of famous faces who have become familiar to the West End theatre’s pantomime roster over the last few years, including legendary comedian Julian Clary and ventriloquist Paul Zerdin.
Former ‘Coronation Street’ star Nigel Havers and Gary Wilmot – who is currently starring as the Wizard of Oz in the London production of ‘Wicked’ – will also take to the stage this festive season as King Nigel and Queen Nigella respectively.
The ‘French and Saunders’ comedienne had initially played Wicked Queen in the Palladium’s 2018 production of ‘Snow White’ alongside Julian as the Magic Mirror and ‘Over the Rainbow’ winner Danielle Hope in the title role but plans for Dawn to star in a second pantomime were scuppered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the intervening years, producer Michael Harrison presented the slimmed-down ‘Pantoland’ at the famous variety venue and promised that ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ will be “spectacular” as Dawn takes on a role traditionally played by a man.
He told the Daily Mail: “[Dawn] had signed on for ‘Jack’ [after ‘Snow White’] . Then the pandemic hit. [This year], the giant will be a huge animatronic one and sets will be spectacular. Dawn stuck with us until we were able to come back with a traditional panto title. We wanted to shake it up a bit. This time she will be a force for good.”
‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ runs at the London Palladium from 10th December 2022 until Sunday 25th January 2023.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Emmerdale’ star Charley Webb found it “beyond scary” when son was rushed to hospital with mystery illness.
The 33-year-old actress – who shares two-year-old Ace with co-star husband Matthew Wolfenden – has been in hospital looking after her son after his health “took a turn for the worse”.
She took to Instagram yesterday (24.02.2022) to update her fans in a video.
She said: “Ace has been poorly since Friday being sick on and off but he’s just been really lethargic.
“And then on Saturday he took a turn for the worse we had to get him into hospital, but then today he’s turned a bit of a corner, but it’s been really scary, [we had] the ambulance out and everything.
“I think there is a sickness bug going around so just keep your eyes on that, but there’s nothing worse than when your kids are ill.
“I’ve never had one so poorly and it’s been beyond scary. The hospital and paramedics were amazing with him.
“So important to always follow your instinct. It’s taken him until day 6 to be back to normal. So happy to have my little terror back.”
Charley and Matthew officially began dating in 2007 but it wasn’t until 2018 that the ITV soap stars tied the knot.
The pair are parents to three children in total – Buster, 11, Bowie, five and Ace, two, and on Thursday 10.02.2022, the couple celebrated their four-year anniversary.
Charley revealed on social media to her fans that they were having a low-key night to mark the occasion.
She wrote: “Happy 4 years married. This is what our anniversary looks like. 15 years together, 3 children later. I’m in my pyjamas ready to read my book in bed and @matthewwolfenden55 is watching a cooking programme. Happy Anniversary pal, you wouldn’t have it any other way.”(sic)

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt has joined the lineup for the upcoming series of ‘Pilgrimage’ on BBC Two.
The 31-year-old TV personality will join six other famous faces on the three-part series as they follow in the footsteps of the sixth century Irish monk, Saint Columba, as they seek out his legacy as a key figure in Christianity.
In a statement, Scarlett explained that although she believes in God, she wants to find out what her religion is and joked that traditional pilgrims tend to wear loin clothes and are in need of moisturiser.
She said: ” I would describe myself as Christian, but not a strict Christian. I don’t go to church, but I definitely believe and religion to me is security. In my head somebody on a pilgrimage is in a loin cloth and they have really long hair… and they look a bit dehydrated like they need a good moisturiser mask. I’m doing the pilgrimage as I want to know what my religion is. I want to be able to answer that question with confidence.”
The former ‘Gogglebox’ star – who has since gone on to host hit conspiracy podcast ‘Scarlett Moffatt Wants to Believe’ with boyfriend Scott Dobinson – will be joined on the trek by agnostic former ‘Countdown’ presenter Nick Hewer, famed interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, who describes himself as a non-conforming pagan as well as England cricketing legend and practicing Sikh Monty Panesar.
Completing the star-studded diverse line-up is Jewish actress Louisa Clein – who is best known to fans as Maya Stepney on ITV soap ‘Emmerdale’ – , Muslim stand-up comedienne Shazia Mirza and Paralympian Will Bayley, who is described as a lapsed Christian.
The celebrity pilgrims will begin their journey in the town of Donegal in the Republic of Ireland, before travelling through Northern Ireland by boat to the west of Scotland and will eventually end up the Inner Hebrides at the site of Saint Columba’s most revered monastery having covered almost 1000 miles on their trek.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ actor Jamie Borthwick has a phobia of being sick.
The 27-year-old soap star – has played Jay Brown in the BBC soap since 2006 – revealed that he suffers from a condition called emetophobia, which leaves him fearful of anything to do with vomit and at one point was unable to leave the house because of it.
He said: “I’ve never really spoken about it, but I’m just having a moment where I’m like, ‘Whatever.’ I’ve got a real phobia about being sick, called emetophobia. I really suffer quite bad with that, and it affected me in so many ways.”
” I didn’t want to go out, I didn’t want to shake people’s hands. It became a thing about germs and I got quite OCD about things like that.”
The telly star also explained that his phobia of vomit had left him feeling “so unsafe” and eventually became “frustrated” as his phobia led to him missing out on opportunities.
Speaking on the ‘Lads, Dads and a Couple of Beers’ podcast, he added: “It just made me feel really anxious and I didn’t like that at all. I don’t really like being away from home. It started off just about that, but then as I got older it developed a bit more into random bouts of anxiety, where I just felt awful. I felt so unsafe.
“Then, it got to a point where it’s really frustrating. It was stopping me from living my life, it was stopping me from going out. I was missing opportunities.”
However, since then, Jamie has managed to “seek the right help” and admitted he was “really selfish” in the days when his phobia was at its height, even though he knows his phobia will never truly leave him.
He said: ““I managed to seek the right help and it’ll never go. I will never ever be OK about being sick. Ever. But I just get to a point where I cope with it, and just deal with it the best way I can.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Russia has been banned from this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) – which produces the event – has announced the decision to ban Russia from the show, saying it could bring the competition into disrepute “in light of the unprecedented crisis in Ukraine”.
In a statement, the EBU said: “The decision reflects concern that, in light of the unprecedented crisis in Ukraine, the inclusion of a Russian entry in this year’s Contest would bring the competition into disrepute.
“Before making this decision the EBU took time to consult widely among its membership.
“The EBU is an apolitical member organisation of broadcasters committed to upholding the values of public service.”
The organisation explained that it’s determined to protect the “values” of the event, which is due to be held in Turin, Italy, in May.
The statement explained: “We remain dedicated to protecting the values of a cultural competition which promotes international exchange and understanding, brings audiences together, celebrates diversity through music and unites Europe on one stage.”
Russia launched an attack on Ukraine on Thursday (24.02.22), but the EBU initially insisted the country would still be able to compete at Eurovision.
The organisers explained that they were “currently planning” to host entrants from both Russia and Ukraine.
The statement said at the time: “We of course will continue to monitor the situation closely.”
However, Ukraine’s state broadcaster, UA:PBC, called for Russia to be suspended from the event, which was won by Italy’s Maneskin in 2021.
The broadcaster described their Russian counterparts as a “mouthpiece for the Kremlin and a key tool of political propaganda”.
UA:PBC also described the situation as being “contrary” to the values of the EBU.

OHMYGOSSIP — Real-life couple Matthew Macfadyen and Keeley Hawes are to play husband and wife in new ITV drama series ‘Stonehouse’.
The ‘Succession’ actor will take on the role of disgraced Labour minister John Stonehouse, and ‘It’s A Sin’ actress Keeley will play his wife Barbara in the three-part drama, which has been written by John Preston, and will be directed by Jon S. Baird.
It will be based on the life and times of Stonehouse, who was a high-flying member of Harold Wilson’s government but he disappeared without a trace from the beach of a luxury hotel in Florida in November 1974.
Matthew said: “What happened to John Stonehouse is the stuff of legend. I’ve always been intrigued by what motivated him to fake his own death, and leave behind the family he loved and doted upon and a promising political career.
“John Preston’s script truly captures the man and his colourful life and I’m looking forward to taking on his character.”
Stonehouse, who was an MP for Walsall North, caused public outcry and shocked the media as he left behind his wife and his three children. It was presumed he had drowned or been eaten by sharks.
As the drama unfolds, it appears the image of the polished family man was just an illusion and it is revealed he was having an affair with his secretary.
His plans of starting up a new life in Australia came crashing down when he was arrested by the police, under the mistaken impression he was the fugitive Lord Lucan.
The drama will also include ‘Showtrial’ actor Emer Heatley, The Crown’s Kevin R McNally and ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ star Dorothy Atkinson.
Preston said: “I’ve always been fascinated by John Stonehouse. The story of how he faked his own death and tried to start a new life in Australia under an assumed name is one of the most bizarre true-life tales I’ve ever come across. I’m absolutely thrilled that it’s being brought to the screen with such an outstanding cast.”

OHMYGOSSIP — David Walliams has joked Simon Cowell is one of the “most annoying” people he has ever worked with.
The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge has claimed the 62-year-old music mogul turns up late for auditions on the ITV talent show and then has the audacity to take naps during the day.
While appearing at the Criterion Theatre for the ‘An Audience with David Walliams and Rob Brydon’ event, the 50-year-old actor quipped: “One of of the most annoying people I have ever worked with in my life is Simon Cowell.
“That is because this man has zero sense of timekeeping whatsoever.
“He often turns up to the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ auditions five hours late. Now he has a sleep in the middle of the day at the theatre.
“So we are meant to start filming the second session at 8pm and he will have a sleep.”
The ‘Gangsta Granny’ author joked it is his “task” on the judging panel – which also features Amanda Holden, 50, and Alesha Dixon, 43 – to “ruin” Simon’s life and keep him grounded.
According to The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column, David said: “We are often two or three hours late. He’ll then be puzzled as to why the audience are leaving at 1.30am when we’re still filming.
“He is like, ‘Why are the audience going?’ and I say, ‘Because they don’t have a chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce to take them home.’
“Every day, people come up and say, ‘I really like the way you ruin his life.’ So that is my task.”
The pair are known for regularly poking fun at each other on the show.

OHMYGOSSIP — ITV is to show English Football League (EFL) highlights from next season.
The broadcaster has confirmed a comprehensive round-up of all the day’s action across the EFL – the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One, and Sky Bet League Two – will air on Saturdays at 9pm on ITV4, and a repeat will air on ITV later in the evening, from the 2022/23 season.
Highlights of midweek fixtures, when a full round has taken place, will also be available on ITV and ITV Hub.
ITV has agreed a two-season partnership with the EFL, which also includes them showing highlights form the Carabao Cup and the Papa John’s Trophy.
EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch said: “With 1,891 matches played across the season, it’s crucial for the EFL that the very best of our match action is widely accessible and we are delighted that ITV will show highlights of our games for the next two years.
“As an experienced major broadcaster with a comprehensive sports portfolio, ITV’s commitment to high quality coverage will showcase the breadth and depth of our competitions to football supporters all over the country.”
Niall Sloane, ITV Director of Sport, said: “This deal brings viewers free to air coverage of one of the most unpredictable divisions we have in the Sky Bet Championship, the best of the action from Sky Bet League One and League Two alongside the exciting midweek competitions in the Carabao Cup and the Papa John’s Trophy.
“By offering highlights across our platforms, via our channels and on demand on ITV Hub, we hope football fans will enjoy our EFL shows from next season.”
The Championship is currently topped by Fulham, who are managed by Marco Silva, while Derby County – managed by Wayne Rooney – are aiming to stay up despite suffering a 21-point deduction earlier in the season.
