OHMYGOSSIP — Susanna Reid is “sacrificing extra work” as she looks for love.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ star – who has Sam, 20, Finn, 18 and Jack, 17, with ex-partner Dominic Cotton – is said to be “putting herself and her family first” after concentrating on her career for so long.
A source told Closer magazine: “She’s felt her entire life has centred on work for so long, and she wants to put herself and her family first. She doesn’t want to miss out on on time she has before her two youngest move to university.
“She is single but feels like she want to put time into finding a new man. She’s hoping to spend the extra time she’ll have by sacrificing extra work projects to work on herself too – as well as her boys – and that includes dating. She’s told friends that she’s worried she’ll look back in 10 years’ time and think ‘What was all that work for?'”
The 51-year-old TV star previously fronted ‘BBC Breakfast’ with Bill Turnbull before making the move to ITV in 2014. She recently renewed her contract on the breakfast show for a reputed £1.1 million salary.
Susanna previously dated Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish back in 2018 but the relationship fizzled out but she is now thought to be hoping that a “calmer schedule” will allow for her to spend extra time looking for the right man.
The insider added: “She’s hoping that a calmer schedule will put more time into looking for Mr. Right.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Christine McGuinness says listening to one song on repeat “100 times” helps her cope with her her autism.
The 33-year-old TV personality was diagnosed with the condition last November and she described it as a “huge relief” in understanding her own behavioural traits and why she and her husband Paddy McGuinness’ three children are all autistic.
Christine – who has eight-year-old twins Penelope and Leo and six-year-old daughter Felicity with Paddy – has opened up about her own struggles and things she does to manage the condition, which include listening to music on repeat and exercise.
Talking to OK! magazine, she said: “Music really helps. I will listen to the same song 100 times and it helps me switch off. The gym helps me, too, and gives me a focus, especially when I’ve got a training plan to work to.
“Another thing I’ve discovered that helps is driving on my own. Before the pandemic if I ever had to go to London I would jump on a train and I hated it. I would quite often get off in the middle of the journey because I was feeling anxious and panicking. Then lockdown happened and I had a job in London and I didn’t want to get on the train. Patrick said, ‘Why don’t you drive?’ I love it.”
‘The Real Housewives of Cheshire’ star and ‘Top Gear’ host Paddy, 48, appeared in the BBC documentary ‘Our Family And Autism’ with their kids last year to raise awareness of their situation and what other parents of autistic kids go through. The pair have also launched a podcast on which they discuss caring for an autistic family.
Christine hopes that she Paddy can help other families by sharing their story.
She said: “The goal is to shed light on the high and lows of the everyday moments for families raising children with additional needs. I think it was something that was needed after we did our documentary. We had so many people on social media saying they wanted more and a way of doing that was through the podcast.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Marlon Dingle is to suffer a stroke on ‘Emmerdale’.
Mark Charnock – the 53-year-old actor who plays the Woolpack chef on the ITV soap – has found researching the serious and life threatening medical condition “a total eye opener” and sees the plotline as “an enormous responsibility”.
He told the Daily Star: “Working with Emmerdale’s research team and The Stroke Association on this storyline has been a total eye opener for me.”
“We hear the word stroke bandied around a great deal, but being confronted with the sheer weight of numbers in this country alone has been a shock. It’s an enormous responsibility to try to get it right for the survivors and their families, and for those who’ve lost loved ones to this awful event”
Soap bosses have promised they will explore the “long-lasting repercussions” it has on Marlon and everyone who loves him.
Laura Shaw, a producer said: “Marlon is undoubtedly one of Emmerdale’s most-loved characters.
“As the story unfolds, we follow the tragic and heartbreaking long-lasting repercussions this has on him and his friends and family.”
The Stroke Association have worked closely with the soap and believe that audiences “will be able to identify with” the impact of the brain attack which is prompted by blood to your brain being cut off.
Juliet Bouverie, the charity’s chief executive said: “Many viewers will be able to identify with Marlon’s storyline, including the 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK.”
According to statistics, someone suffers in the UK suffers a stroke every five minutes and it is the nation’s fourth biggest cause of death, with an annual total of 35,000.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean think the Olympics should include same-sex icing skating partners.
The ‘Dancing On Ice’ judges believe the changes to the gender combinations – such as Steps star Ian ‘H’ Watkins competing with Matt Evers in 2021 and this year Brendan Cole swapping Vanessa Bauer for Brendyn Hatfield for one episode after she had to isolate due to COVID-19 – on the ITV ice dancing competition could be made at the Winter Games.
Jayne, 64 – who took home the gold medal with Christopher at the 1984 Sarajevo Games – told the Sun’s Bizarre TV Column: “Well, if it’s on ‘Dancing On Ice’, yes, anything is possible.”
Her 63-year-old partner added: “Who’s to say in a few years’ time that could change because there’s actually a shortage of male figure skaters.
“So you might have to have same sex female skaters skating together.
“All organisations are now open to diversity and inclusion. So, yes, that’s the next step.
“But it always comes down to how people are thinking and accepting at the moment.”
Chris praised Brendan and Brendyn’s Jersey Boys routine on Sunday (13.03.22) and how it “choreographed” to be like a Four Seasons performance.
He said:“I think those two, the way it was choreographed, it was just like two male skaters out there, like the Four Seasons putting on the dance.
“I think it was representative of that music and that idea.”
Last week, the 45-year-old dancer admitted that things on the show were getting “personal” before Vanessa had to drop out for the week.
Writing on Instagram, he wrote: “An exciting weekend ahead… A double elimination and things are getting personal!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh is expecting a grandson.
The 45-year-old actress – whose son David and fiancée Courtney are expecting a baby – took to Instagram to reveal that her grandchild will be a baby boy.
Alongside a gender-reveal video, she wrote: “It’s a boy!!!!huge congratulations to my @cunliffe890 @courtneyleac I cannot wait to meet my new grandson!!!”
In the 30-second clip posted to Instagram, David fires out an array of blue confetti from a large popper, prompting Courtney to throw her arms around him as surrounding family and friends cheer at the news that they are expecting a boy.
BBC reporter Ashley John-Baptiste was first to send his well wishes as he wrote: “Ah congrats!!!” in the comments section of the post.
Kym – who is also mother to Polly Cunliffe, 10, and Emilie Mae Cunliffe 26, with ex-partner Dave – is set to become a grandmother for the second time after Emilie Mae welcomed Teddy with fiancé Mikey Hoszowskyj back in 2019.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who played Michelle Connor on the ITV soap for over a decade and is set to star in BBC’s upcoming revival of school-based drama ‘Waterloo Road’ – first announced news of the pregnancy in February 2022.
She wrote on Instagram: “I have been bursting to share this news for AGES!!!! I’m so very proud to announce I am gonna be a “YaYa” again!!! My wonderful son David Cunliffe and his equally wonderful fiancée Courtney are expecting their first child in August. I am so very proud of you both and I cannot wait to meet my newest grandchild!! OHMYGOSSIP — Gyles Brandreth wants a part in Coronation Street.
The 74-year-old broadcaster – who last year made a return to television as a contestant on ‘All Star Musicals ‘ – revealed that he “loves trying new things” and wants to join the ITV soap as an “old flame” of battle-axe Evelyn Plummer who is played by his friend Maureen Lipman.
He said: “Last year, I appeared on a show called ‘All Star Musicals.’ I can’t sing and I can’t dance but I love trying new things and I haven’t yet been in a TV soap. I could join ‘Coronation Street’ as Maureen Lipman’s old flame who has been away in prison for many years and come back. I told Maureen to try and book me up for it!”
The former politician – who has been married to writer Michèle Brown for almost 50 years and has children Saethryd, Aphraan and Benet with her – recently made appearances on ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ alongside Maureen, 75 as well as veteran actress Sheila Hancock and admitted that while they were “amazing”, his wife now jokes that both women were given Damehoods by the Queen as a form of compensation for his company.
He told the Metro newspaper’s Sixty Seconds column: “I did [‘Celebrity Gogglebox’] first with Sheila Hancock and then they made her a dame. I then did it with Maureen Lipman and they made her a dame. My wife says the Queen is rewarding them for being locked in my company! Sheila was amazing. Sitting there watching ‘Naked Attraction’ with an 89-year-old was hilarious! And now Maureen comes round to watch the telly even when we’re not filming it!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Josie Gibson has replaced Holly Willoughby on ‘This Morning.’
The 37-year-old TV star stepped in to front the show on Monday (14.03.2022) alongside Phillip Schofield, 59, after his regular co-host Holly tested positive for coronavirus and was forced to miss out hosting ‘Dancing on Ice’ the night before.
Phillip – who himself had tested positive a few weeks earlier – said at the top of the show as he sat beside Josie: “We were absolutely convinced, Holly and I, having worked all the way through everything that we might be immune. And then it got me a few weeks ago and then over the weekend it got Holly. So, she has tested positive and is watching at home. It is the weirdest thing in the world when you can’t do it and you’re watching it from home. It was the same with ‘Dancing on Ice’ last night.”
The veteran TV star – who had to front ‘Dancing on Ice’ alone when his co-star tested positive at short notice – then went on to wish Holly a speedy recovery but assured viewers that they were in “very safe hands” with the former ‘Big Brother’ star.
He added: “Holly, get well soon. Get back as quick as you can but we’re in very, very safe hands here. But we miss you!”
Josie – who normally presents the live competition segments – also chimed in with her well-wishes for Holly.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ live, she said: “Get well soon, Hols. I’m sending you lots of love!”
It is not known how many episodes Josie will be covering, with previous reports suggesting that Alison Hammond and Rochelle Humes could be stepping in while Holly is away.
An ITV spokesperson previously confirmed the news that Holly had tested positive and noted that they look forward to welcoming her back for the live final of the skating show, set to take place on 27th March.
In a statement, they said: “Unfortunately, Holly Willoughby is unable to host tonight’s show after testing positive for Covid-19. We look forward to Holly returning for the Dancing on Ice Live Final.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Platt’s oven storyline was inspired by the real life of a Corrie boss.
Tina O’Brien plays Underworld PA Sarah Platt on the ITV soap was her character was not pleased to be given a cooker by her husband Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) for her birthday -and now the 38-year-old actress has revealed it was based on a real-life incident involving a mystery office worker at the studios.
The 38-year-old actress told The Mirror: “Someone at our office did that for their wife, and that’s how it ended up in the story. Obviously, it wasn’t well received. I’m not going to mention names. It didn’t go down very well. I won’t say who. Personally, I wouldn’t like a home appliance. On the show, Sаrаh thinks to herself, ‘He got me аn oven for my birthday, which is not very romantic.”
The former ‘Waterloo Road’ actress also shared that someone once gave her the same “tea-making machine” they have at the ‘Corrie’ studios and hinted she was not too impressed.
She continued: “I once received a tea-making machine, the same as the one at work. They said, ‘Look, you can have the same tea at home’. I thought, ‘Oh no!’.”
Despite their marital problems, Tina and her on-screen husband are having, he isn’t thought to be going anywhere soon.
Earlier this month, an anonymous source shared that Corrie bossies were “thrilled” to have the 36-year-old actor renew his contract earlier this month.
They said: “Sam is a huge talent and bosses are thrilled he’s signed a new contract. He’s got some explosive storylines coming up with Adam facing losing everything because of his deranged ex Lydia.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Wilson has said that the final series of ‘His Dark Materials’ should air in November 2022.
The 40-year-old actress – who has portrayed Marisa Coulter on the BBC/HBO fantasy series based on the books by Philip Pullman since 2019 – thinks that the last series of the drama will air later this year and will see everything “come to a head.”
She was asked: “We must ask you as well – His Dark Materials – when can we expect the third and final series Ruth?”
Speaking to Zoe Ball on ‘The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show’ on BBC Radio 2, she said: “I think that comes out this November. that’s what I’m hearing. So, no, very exciting. The third and final series, where we see it all come to a head, and you’ll see more of Asriel, and Marisa, and Mrs Coulter and Lyra, and that all comes out in November.”
The BBC radio host – who has has son Woody, 21, and daughter Nelly, 12, with her ex-husband Norman Cook and is currently dating former construction boss Michael Reed – appeared to be very excited at the news of its return as she revealed it has been a telly favourite for herself and her family.
She said: ““Even you talking about it has made me go all tingly – we’ve loved watching it as a family!”
The former ‘Luther’ actress previously admitted that she was ready to leave her character behind after being challenged with dramatic changes.
She said: “I was ready to leave. I love creating things. I’m not so good at sustaining stuff. Mrs. Coulter is iconic, she’s brilliant, and the challenges of this season were really good because she becomes a goodie, so, how do I manage that? It’s a fine line to go from a fun baddie into that!”

OHMYGOSSIP — James Buckley wants to do an ‘Inbetweeners’ podcast.
The 34-year-old actor – who brought sex-obsessed sixth former Jay Cartwright to life on the Channel 4 coming-of-age sitcom – wants to share “anecdotes and stuff” with his former castmates Simon Bird, Joe Thomas and Blake Harrison following the footsteps of other classic comedies, such as ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’.
James told The Sun’s Bizarre TV Column: “On ‘The Always Sunny podcast’ cast members discuss making episodes with anecdotes and stuff. Maybe me and the boys could do that.”
‘The Always Sunny’ podcast sees the stars of the long-running sitcom – Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney – look back on the 14 seasons of the black comedy, which began in 2005.
In January, James admitted that no amount of money would convince him to reprise the role of Jay – which spanned across three seasons and two movies- despite calling it the “best job in the world.”
James said: “I don’t want to go near it anymore… Not because I don’t think I would have an amazing time doing it, because I know I would. “I love the boys, I love the writers. Doing ‘The Inbetweeners’ was the best job in the world. All we did was muck around all day long and they filmed us doing it, and at the end of the day, we might have had an episode, or a TV, you know, or a film or something. It was the best job in the world. “But it might – you know, as I’m getting older – it’s looking like it might be the only thing that I do professionally that is universally loved. There’s not enough money in the world for me to spoil that.”
