Matt Smith ‘loves’ vampires

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Smith has “always loved vampires”.
The 39-year-old actor portrays antagonistic vampire Milo Morbius in the new Marvel blockbuster ‘Morbius’ and he admitted there was a lot about the role that appealed to him when the project was first pitched.
He explained to GamesRadar+: “I was really excited to work with Daniel Espinosa, because I’d enjoyed his work and I thought he was just a fabulous director.
“And I was keen to play a villain in one of these types of movies where – I’ve always loved vampires as well, and been obsessed with the superpower of being able to fly. And I like the fact that it felt like a domestic story about two brothers, really. All of those things really attracted me to it.”
Much of Matt’s role in the film has been kept secret, but he had no problem with that because of his past work on ‘Doctor Who’.
He said: “I’m well versed in trying to keep storylines and plotlines a secret from Doctor Who, of course.
“It was quite liberating doing The Crown, actually, because everyone knows everything. Everyone knows the story, which is why that show’s really special, because we know what happens. But I didn’t mind having to keep that secret, because I’ve done it before. Mum’s the word.”
The British star can next be seen on the small screen in ‘Game of Thrones’ spin-off ‘House of the Dragon’ but he has no idea if his character in the show, Daemon Targaryen, shares any similarities with Milo.
He said: “Truth is, I don’t know, because I’ve not seen any of ‘House of the Dragon’.
“And it’s quite hard to have an opinion on the work you’ve done, because it comes and goes without having seen it.”
But at heart, despite the different subject matters, Matt doesn’t see much of a difference with all of his work.
He said: “All of it tends to be quite similar in the end. It’s big sets and big lights and cameras and all that sort of thing, and lots of bells and whistles. But ultimately, it comes down to two people having a scene trying to tell the truth to one another. The essence of it is the same. But it was exciting to be on a movie of this scale, certainly.”

‘We’re just getting to know each other’: Jared Leto hints at future Morbius movies

OHMYGOSSIP — Jared Leto has hinted at future ‘Morbius’ films.
The 50-year-old actor stars as Dr. Michael Morbius in the Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster, and he teased “we’re just getting to know each other” when asked about future ‘Morbius’ films.
Jared continued: “This is us kind of at that first step forward and I just think if you look at Wolverine, you look at Batman, you look at a lot of these films and they evolve over time. You know, there’s a relationship that develops there and who knows. But the Sinister Six head to head with Spider-Man, we’ll see what the future holds.”
In the interview with IMDb.com, the ‘House of Gucci’ star – who was transformed into Paolo Gucci with prosthetics – also revealed why he “fought for CGI” to be used instead for Morbius.
He said: “Initially we were going to use prosthetics, but I really fought for CG! Obviously, it’s the future and it was exciting to work with these incredible people that are on the cutting-edge of technology… I just thought it would give us a lot more freedom.”
The 30 Seconds to Mars frontman explained how prosthetics can limit the way you “move and express” yourself.
The ‘Suicide Squad’ star added: “Well it’s exciting! You know, the mask is interesting for an actor, because it conceals, but it also can reveal a part of who you are. “Wearing prosthetics can be fascinating. It can affect the way you move and express [yourself]. Conversely, CG has its limitations and its benefits.”
Despite the setback of being delayed, the movie earned a whopping $17.1 million on its opening day (01.04.22) and is predicted to make $41.5 million at the box office this opening weekend.

John Cena: Acting and wrestling are very different

OHMYGOSSIP — John Cena believes wrestling and acting success are “completely different”.
The 44-year-old grappler-turned-actor can understand why people think it would be a smooth transition between professions but he’s had to “work as hard as [he] can” in order to make it big in Hollywood.
He said: “Well, the term Hollywood has such a mystique and lustre around it. If you’re skilled at doing one thing, and then you transition into doing another — really, it sounds the same, but it’s a completely different thing.
“If you have any chance of success, you have to really, really prepare as much as you can. And if you feel you don’t have a head start, you’ve just got to put rubber to the road and work your a**off. So that’s kind of where I’m at, dipping my toes back into the screen side of entertainment rather than live events.
“And I realise I’ve got my work to do, and I’m just trying to work as hard as I can to catch up to everybody else.”
When he was promoting ‘The Suicide Squad’, John stunned those working on the movie by asking to wear the “uniform” of his character Peacemaker, but it was a trick he’d learned from his years in the WWE in order to be memorable.
He explained to Britain’s GQ magazine: “You know, I learned very early on in my WWE career that the greatest characters with the most long-term success — we just dropped a show on Peacock called ‘Evil’, which profiles eight of the top WWE quote-unquote ‘heels’ — and a constant thread in all of that is dedication to character.
“And the reason, like, there’s the perception of John Cena, ‘Oh, he never changes’ — yeah, I don’t. Because it’s the concept of uniformity. And you have to feel like you know me. In the WWE, you couldn’t catch me at an appearance without jean shorts, sneakers, a t-shirt, ballcap, and a bunch of wristbands. I was everywhere in them. And people come to know that’s who you are.
“I was so dedicated to it that meme culture ran with it, in multiple different varieties: the invisible John Cena meme, the unexpected John Cena meme. And a lot of that is based on being so familiar with the look.
“So in ‘The Suicide Squad’, you’ve got 20 to 25 characters, and I wanted to make mine familiar.
“So I asked to do all the press in uniform, and they couldn’t believe that.
“But I wanted the audience to know who Peacemaker was before they saw Peacemaker. By no means am I trying to score runway points, I don’t have any style aside from wearing a suit and tie, so you might as well wear the costume that people are going to see on screen and have some fun with it.”

EastEnders’ Clair Norris to front BBC Panorama obesity doc

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ star Clair Norris has spent her break from the soap filming a personal documentary about obesity for ‘BBC Panorama’.
The 24-year-old actress – who plays Bernie Taylor in the BBC One soap – has spent the past four months working on the documentary, which saw her revisit her childhood to share her own “personal experiences” with obesity.
Announcing the project on Instagram, Clair wrote: ‘BBC Panorama – Obesity: Who Cares if I’m Bigger?’.
“COMING SOON!!! Over the last four months I have been working with BBC Panorama, documenting and reporting on a topic that relates to me and I’m sure a lot of you will have your own opinions.
“This has been a chance to show ME! No character and no acting. I have been on a journey, meeting new people, going back to my childhood and sharing my own personal experiences which most of the time I have kept to myself.”
She concluded: “I can’t wait for everyone to see this project, but it’s important for me to say… please always be kind. BBC Panorama – Obesity: Who Cares if I’m Bigger?”
Clair first appeared as Bernie in June 2017, and the actress previously admitted she was “in awe” of Jake Wood – who previously starred as Max Branning – when she first joined the show.
She said: “I thought Jake Wood was amazing in ‘Strictly’ – and when I joined ‘EastEnders’, he was the one I was most star-struck over.
“I’m in awe of his acting, too, so I’d be too embarrassed to go through any dance moves with him.”

Love Island’s Sharon Gaffka had a cancer scare aged 19

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ star Sharon Gaffka had a breast cancer scare when she was 19.
The 26-year-old civil servant – who took part in the seventh series of the ITV2 dating show last year – is raising awareness for the disease and the signs to check for and has admitted she could have been in a “lot of trouble” if the lump she had found turned out to be “more sinister”.
She told The Sun Online: “My mum [Linda] had cancer, and you know, I had my own breast cancer scare when I was 19.
“So, for me, it was really important to raise awareness because if I didn’t know what to look for, and I didn’t know what was abnormal or normal for me, then had it been something more sinister than it ended up being, I could have been in a lot of trouble because I couldn’t spot the signs early.”
“I think people have said that with breast cancer, your partner tends to find it before you do, just because they’re paying more attention.
“I find that young women or anybody, there’s a stigma about checking your chest or some who find it weird. So I want to take that stigma away.”
Sharon felt discomfort between her breast and underarm and it turned out she had a “solid lump of scar tissue” from an injury.
She continued: “I remember feeling discomfort in my right breast between my breast and my underarm. I didn’t know that that was a potential spot.
“People automatically assume that breast cancer is literally in breast tissue, as opposed to like maybe in your collarbones, or in your underarms.
“I basically had a solid lump of tissue, and it was really painful, even just to move around in general life.”
The brunette beauty found her lump just as her mum finished her own cancer treatment and has previously lost grandparents to the disease.
She added: “Yeah you know, I think I found it pretty much the same time that my mum was finishing her treatment.
“So knowing how quickly my mum caught on that she wasn’t well, kind of pushed me to go check myself, so I went to a GP pretty quickly.
“I was very lucky to find that it was just it was basically like scar tissue, I’ve injured myself and my body was trying to fix it.
“If I didn’t know that, that was a part of my body that could potentially have breast cancer.”

Ethan Hawke thinks blockbusters have a ‘lot of fear’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ethan Hawke thinks big budget movies come with “a lot of fear”.
The 51-year-old actor has valued the “immense creative freedom” that’s come with working on many independent movies over the years because he knows major studio blockbusters are typically more regimented, so he was pleasantly surprised when he started work on his Marvel Studios show ‘Moon Knight’.
He said: “What’s wonderful about a smaller film is there’s immense creative freedom, because there isn’t a lot of money riding on it. So people are kind of betting on the more adventurous some of the ideas in the movie, the more chance it has of being successful.
“Usually, on a bigger budget film, there’s just a lot of fear. They’re just worried you’re gonna lose money, or your idea is going to derail the system.
“But Marvel didn’t work that way at all. They seem to have a great love of actors, and they have a great trust in them, and they really want you to contribute. They really want your creativity, and that was surprising to me.
“It was surprising to me to come up with ideas for the character, and have them go ‘Yes! Do that! That would be amazing!’ I’m not used to that.”
The ‘Boyhood’ actor admitted it made a refreshing change not having to “rush” through the shoot, but it was also a negative that filming on the show took so long.
He told Men’s Health magazine: “I’ve spent so much of my life working in independent film, where you are always rushing. It’s just, like, a sprint.
“And the thing about the Marvel movies is they have the budget and the means to give you enough time to shoot, and that has positives—that are obvious—and negatives—which are that it takes a really long time. We were in Budapest from, like, March to September, because they take their time to make these things.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rose Ayling-Ellis is being tipped to receive an MBE.
The ‘EastEnders’ actress – who plays Frankie Lewis – made history as the first deaf contestant to win ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ last year, and she has been applauded for raising awareness of the disability and inspiring fellow deaf people.
And after Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall met Rose and her on-screen dad Danny Dyer (Mick Carter) on the set of the BBC One soap this week, where it was revealed that the royal family all voted for Rose, it’s been claimed she could be honoured by Queen Elizabeth.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Her success on ‘Strictly’ shone a light on the deaf community in a way that surpassed everyone’s expectations.
“Not only did she raise awareness about the challenges deaf people face, she was a true inspiration for them – particularly young people. She really did break down boundaries.”
Prince Charles’ wife said to Rose, Danny and her half-sister Nancy Carter (Maddy Hill) on the soap during her trip to Albert Square with her husband: “We were all voting for Rose.”
She continued: “I don’t know how you did all this and the dancing.”
Asked if the queen also watched the show, the duchess replied: “I think she does. She probably watched you.”
Rose admitted her conversation with Camilla was “mind-blowing”.
She said: “It was really funny because she’s a huge fan of Strictly Come Dancing and she mentioned that she voted for me which is so lovely, and her grandchildren watch it.
“It is amazing, so lovely. I mean come on, it’s the Royal family voting for me, sometimes you forget how many people watch the show, I am mind-blown.”
The royal couple visited the set while the cast were filming a special episode celebrating the queen’s Platinum Jubilee, and revealed themselves to be long-term viewers of the soap.

Craig Revel Horwood lets slip Anton du Beke will return as Strictly judge

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Revel Horwood has confirmed Anton du Beke is returning as a judge on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The show’s professional dancer stood in for Bruno Tonioli on the panel last year, as the lockdown made it difficult for him to fly back and forth between the UK and US, where he was filming ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
And now, Craig has let slip that Anton, 55, will be back dishing out feedback when the BBC One Latin and ballroom contest returns later this year.
Speaking at his ‘All Balls and Glitter Tour’ show this week, he said: “I really love Anton. I think he is fantastic. I think last year he did a great job on Strictly as a judge.
“And we have just found out he is going to do it again this year.”
However, Craig admitted he misses Bruno’s bonkers personality.
According to The Sun on Sunday, he added: “I miss his energy. But he always used to come off and say, ‘Darling, I am exhausted.’
“And I used to say, ‘Well, you created this character darling.’ I will just sit there. My job is easy.”
It comes after head judge Shirley Ballas revealed she begged ‘Strictly’ bosses to let Anton stay on the judging panel.
The former Latin champion – who replaced Len Goodman in 2017 – admitted she wanted Anton to stay on permanently.
Shirley, 61, suggested making it a five-judge panel featuring Bruno, Anton, Craig, Motsi Mabuse and herself.
She said: “I hope Anton stays, but we could have five seats. I just did the tour with Bruno and he was on point and on form.
“There is nobody like Bruno. He is a force to be reckoned with.”
Meanwhile, pro dancers Oti Mabuse and Aljaz Skorjanec are not returning for the next season.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Heughan became a meat eater after being told to “eat more protein” for his ‘Superman Returns’ audition.
The ‘Outlander’ star, 41, failed his audition for the 2006 flick – with the titular superhero role ultimately going to Brandon Routh – but after being told he needed to bulk up for the part and “eat more protein” by his trainer, he found he had a lot more energy from ditching his “vegetarian-pescatarian” diet.
Speaking to Variety, Sam said: “I grew up a pescatarian or sort of vegetarian-pescatarian.
“I didn’t start eating meat until I came to America when I was 24. It was all these delicious burgers and food.”
He recalled: “I had a trainer and he was like, ‘You need to get bigger. You need to be able to fill out the cape.’
“I remember the first time I had chicken or something and just suddenly, I was like, ‘Oh my God, I have all this energy. And I don’t feel hungry all the time.'”
Meanwhile, Sam admitted that while he is excited to see ‘The Batman’, starring Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, he is not a fan of some of the other superhero flicks.
He explained: “I think the other superhero movies kind of lost their way a bit.
“They’ve become, I think, a little too obese in a way, but anything character-based — I mean, Batman’s a great one because he’s not a superhero.
“He’s just an interesting character. Something with a good backstory.”

The former ‘Love Island’ star – who appeared on the ITV2 reality dating show in 2016 – and her fiance Harry are proud parents to a little girl, who they’ve named Thaiga, pronounced Tiger.
Sharing a series of pictures from her birthing experience and one of the newborn in a baby grow with “mummy and me” emblazoned across it and just the tot’s teeny feet on display, Katie announced on Instagram on Mother’s Day (27.03.22): “Am officially a Mummy!!!!
“Had some time off in my baby bubble but figured today would be the best day to let you all know. We welcomed our beautiful baby girl into this magical world. Thaiga Dean ( pronounced Tiger)
“I never thought I could feel this way, am completely in love and thought I had everything in life until she came. My life is complete.”
Thanking the NHS and her loved ones, she added: “And my fiancé who is just my rock, you are my dream, thank you for giving me the world. We got you forever!
“Going back into my bubble now I’ll be back soon but right now I’m just so content being with my little family and enjoying every second of this incredible blessing. Universe thank you for the greatest gift alive. My beautiful baby daughter.”
In January, Katie took to Instagram to reveal she was six months pregnant with her first baby.
Katie – who is planning to get married later this year – wrote: “Been Busy Creating Life
First came love, then came you! 6 months pregnant with our biggest blessing. I’ve kept this between close friends and family for a while but my beautiful baby bump is getting hard to hide. We love you so much already baby and cannot wait to meet you. I couldn’t do this journey with anybody else other than my best friend. 2022 my favourite year off all, The year I marry my love and we become a family. (sic)”
Harry wrote on his Instagram: “I got a feeling 2022 is going to be the best year of my life. I am great full to LIFE for blessing me with love. I can’t wait to meet you.”
Katie coupled up with Sophie Gradon – who died in June 2018 aged 32 – on ‘Love Island’ – making history as the show’s first-ever same-sex couple.
The star revealed on Christmas Day 2021 that Harry had popped the question.
She wrote on Instagram at the time “HE ASKED ME TO BE HIS WIFE My best friend, my twin flame, The love of my life asked me to marry him and made me the happiest girl alive!!!! My baby, we’ve been through so much together and built so much, I cannot wait to share this next chapter with you and take your hand in marriage forever. Regan Gascoigne crowned winner of Dancing on Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — Regan Gascoigne has won ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The 26-year-old dancer – who is the son of retired England football legend Paul Gascoigne – and his professional partner Karina Manta skated all the way to victory on the ITV figure skating competition’s live final on Sunday (27.03.22), where he beat former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional Brendan Cole and Vanessa Bauer to be crowned the winner of this year’s series.
Regan was left speechless after the result was announced by co-hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, and simply said he was finding it all so “overwhelming”.
Earlier in the show, Kimberly Wyatt and Mark Hanretty had been eliminated from the competition, making third place, despite scoring perfect 40s for both of their routines from the judging panel – Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill, and Christopher Dean.
This meant they didn’t get to perform the iconic Boléro routine, made famous by Torvill and Dean.
The results of the final were based only on public votes, meaning she was sent home after she failed to make the final two.
Speaking after being eliminated, the Pussycat Doll said: “This has been such a beautiful experience and I am just so grateful for everything that they’ve done for us. Dan and Karen and Bob, and Torvill and Dean.”
Regan and Karina will join Holly and Phillip on ‘This Morning’ on ITV tomorrow morning from 10am, where the 2022 champions will reveal more about their win and time on the show.
All three celebrities and their partners had scored perfect scores for all their routines during the spectacular final.

Nicola Coughlan’s head was ‘fried’ filming Derry Girls and Bridgerton in quick succession

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicola Coughlan’s head was “fried” filming the final of ‘Derry Girls’ so close to season two of ‘Bridgerton’.
The 35-year-old actress – who stars as Clare Devlin in the Channel 4 sitcom and Penelope Featherington in the Netflix period drama – had a major storyline to film for ‘Bridgerton’ before wrapping ‘Derry Girls’ amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and admits it all felt “like a blur”.
She told RadioTimes.com: “I think, because it was filming in COVID and it was really stressful, I don’t know that we really processed it.
“It was weird. I think it’s a show that now it really feels like it belongs to the fans, if that make sense.”
Nicola admitted it was “heavy going” but praised the production company for making it as easy as possible.
She continued: “It felt like a blur because I wrapped ‘Bridgerton’ on a Friday morning – [production company] Shondaland were really kind to me and compacted all my final [scenes] – and it was heavy going because it was all the big stuff for Penelope.
“Wrapped on a Friday morning, flew on the Saturday, costume and makeup on the Sunday and into set with Derry Girls on a Monday. So my head was fried.”
She added: “But yeah, Shondaland, I’m eternally grateful that they kind of made that work and made it happen. The experience was a blur, but the scripts are great. They’re always great.”
Last week, Nicola had skip the ‘Bridgerton’ premiere after testing positive for COVID-19.
The actress took to Instagram to reveal she wouldn’t be in attendance at Tuesday night’s (22.03.22) big event in London to celebrate the second series ahead of its launch on Friday.
Posting a picture of herself in a white robe with a towel wrapped around her head, she wrote: “My Bridgerton Premiere look- a little different than expected.
“So I’ve been struck down with Miss Rona and I’m missing our first premiere- heartbroken is an understatement but sending so much love to my gorgeous cast mates who I hope have the best night.”
The star still got glammed up for the night, with crimson red lipstick, metallic eyeshadow and a gorgeous silver statement necklace.
She jokingly referred to her look as “infectious virus but make it fashion”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlie McDowell prefers to make “character driven” movies as opposed to big budget blockbusters.
The 38-year-old director – whose latest film ‘Windfall’ tells the story of a thief who breaks into a billionaire’s holiday home only for things to go awry when the mogul unexpectedly returns – was asked what sort of film he would make if money were no object and admitted that he has “no aspiration” to tell a “massive” story.
He said: “I’m probably the wrong person to ask this because I don’t have any aspirations to tell a massive tentpole story. I tend to focus on stuff that is very character driven and I like to dissect and analyse character and so budget for me is less of an issue because I tend to tell stories of people talking in rooms.”
The filmmaker – who has been married to actress and ‘Windfall’ star Lily Collins since 2021 – went on to explain that he wants an audience to be able to make up their own mind on a film and claimed that the size of the budget is not really a consideration when it comes to making movies.
In an interview with Collider, he said: “For me, if I’m able to continue telling thought-provoking stories that allows an audience to think for themselves and have their own ideas, that’s what I like to do. Whether that is a much bigger budget film or a contained smaller film, it doesn’t really matter to me. It’s all about exploring ideas and characters within those ideas.”

Sonny Jay would be too ‘scared’ to return to Dancing on Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — Sonny Jay would be “scared” to return to ‘Dancing on Ice.’
The 28-year-old radio presenter won the 2021 series of the ITV skating show with pro Angela Egan but admitted that he hasn’t kept up skating since his victory and it has left him too “scared” to think of taking to the rink again.
He said: “The only thing I would say. Not advice for the final just coming out of the show is just keep up the skating because it’s such a good skill to learn and I haven’t been since and I’m gutted about it. And now I feel like because I’ve left it so long, I’m now scared of going back on the ice.”
The Capital Radio DJ was speaking ahead of Sunday’s (27.03.22) final which was won by Regan Gascoigne – the son of ex footballer Paul – and Karina Manta and admitted that while he was attending the grand event, he would have turned down an offer of getting on the ice again.
He told The Daily Star: “Dude, I’m going on Sunday, right, and in the back of my head I was going to turn it down if they asked me to go on the ice because I was literally just like ‘I would be the only winner to go back on and fall ‘a*** over t**. It wouldn’t be good for the show, I tell you!”
The latest series of the ITV favourite – fronted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield – came to an end last night and saw Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt skate into third place whilst ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional Brendan Cole finished as runner up.

Dune: Part Two prep is underway

OHMYGOSSIP — Denis Villeneuve has revealed pre-production on ‘Dune: Part Two’ has started.
The director’s first film based on the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s sci-fi classic scored six Oscars at last night’s (27.03.22) Academy Awards, and ahead of the ceremony, the 54-year-old filmmaker revealed prep is already underway for the second flick.
Speaking to ET Canada, Denis said; “It’s gonna be intense. I’m in prep right now. Monday morning, as soon as we leave Los Angeles, it will be to start to go on with prep.”
Keeping tight-lipped on what is to come, he added: “I cannot say nothing about the movie – I don’t like to talk about projects as I am doing them – but it’s probably going to be the biggest challenge of my career, again, because it’s even more complex than part 1.”
The filmmaker recently refused to confirm if it’s true Florence Pugh is joining the cast of the sequel.
The director played coy and insisted “there’s been rumours” about the ‘Black Widow’ star, 26, taking on the role of Princess Irulan, the daughter of Emperor Shaddam IV, who is yet to be cast.
However, he teased: “It’s going to be another beautiful journey in the desert again.
“It’s the journey where Paul Atreides and his mother, Lady Jessica, make contact with the Fremen culture and meet with the Fremen.
“It’s Paul’s journey against the enemy … It’s a movie that will be more cinematic.”
There have also been talks of Austin Butler being eyed to play Feyd-Rautha.
The ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ actor, 30, is said to be in negotiations to play the sadistic younger nephew of Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, who is the arch-nemesis of Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet).
Sting played Feyd-Rautha in David Lynch’s 1984 adaptation of the epic novel of the same name.
‘Dune: Part 2’ will see Timothee, Rebecca Ferguson (Lady Jessica) and Zendaya (Chani) all reprising their roles, and Denis recently admitted it will be “more challenging” than the first film.
He said: “I will say it is mostly designed. The thing that helps us right now is that it’s the first time I’ve revisited a universe. So I’m working with the same crew, everybody knows what to do, we know what it will look like.
“The movie will be more challenging, but we know where we are stepping. And the screenplay is written. So I feel confident. Frankly, the only big unknown for me right now is the pandemic.”

Gordon Ramsay hopes to ‘ruffle the feathers’ of Lord Sugar

OHMYGOSSIP — Gordon Ramsay hopes his new TV show will ruffle the feathers of Lord Sugar.
The 55-year-old chef acknowledges that ‘Future Food Stars’ – the new reality series in which 12 contestants will compete for Gordon’s financial backing for their food and drink businesses – shares some similarities with ‘The Apprentice’, and Gordon joked that he’s already “lost a customer” in the 75-year-old businessman.
He told RadioTimes.com: “It’s a food and drink lifestyle business show. So fingers crossed, it’s going to rub Alan Sugar’s feathers the wrong way. I think I’ve lost a customer there. Who gives a f***?
“But all jokes apart, I’m a big fan of ‘The Apprentice’.”
Gordon subsequently acknowledged the difficulties that the food and drinks business in the UK has faced since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Looking forward to the new series, he e explained: “[It’s about] just how hard it is to break through that market. So it’s a food and drink business show with some great products, great characters and a lot of challenges.”
Meanwhile, Gordon recently revealed that he’d love to appear on Strictly Come Dancing’.
The TV chef has previously been asked to take part in a Christmas special, and although it’s not happened yet, he’d be up for following in his daughter Tilly’s footsteps by performing on the BBC show.
He said: “They asked me to do a Christmas special with Gino D’Acampo and Fred Sirieix.
“Secretly, I’d love to do it. I’ve always wanted to dance.
“There’s something so gorgeous about the rumba, the samba, the foxtrot, the tango.”
The outspoken star even suggested he might approach the show’s producers himself.
However, he knows that his 20-year-old daughter might oppose the move.
He said: “I may ask the BBC if I could do it next year. Tilly would kill me, by the way.
“‘Strictly’ shaped her in a way that has made her so much more hard-working, I’m incredibly proud.”
