Strictly Come Dancing set to sign young replacement for Aljaz Skorjanec

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ is set to sign its youngest ever partnered professional dancer to replace Aljaz Skorjanec.
Bosses on the hit BBC dance show are lining up South African dancer Cameron Lombard, 21, to fill the gap left by Aljaz – who announced that he was leaving the programme earlier this week.
Cameron joined the show’s dance troupe last year but wasn’t paired with a celebrity. However, he has impressed bosses behind the scenes on the series and the subsequent live tour.
A ‘Strictly’ source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Cameron is a big character, as well as a hugely talented dancer. He was disappointed not to get a partner for the last series but 2022 is set to be his year.
“He’s already a favourite with hardcore ‘Strictly’ fans who have seen him on tour, and bosses are confident mainstream audiences will follow suit.”
Cameron was a finalist on ‘South Africa’s Got Talent’ a decade ago and has set up his own dance school for youngsters.
He is also good friends with his fellow South African professional dancer Johannes Radebe – who made his debut on the programme in 2019.
The BBC are yet to confirm which pros will be getting celebrity partners when the 20th series of ‘Strictly’ begins in the autumn.
Aljaz recently announced that he was to leave ‘Strictly’ after nine years and revealed that he had made the decision “a little while ago”.
The star – who won the show with Abbey Clancy in 2013 – said on Instagram: “On a beautiful sunny day in May 2013 one phone call changed my life forever!
“It went like this… we would like to offer you a position on @bbcstrictly as a professional dancer. A dream became a reality and it was the biggest opportunity for a 23 year old boy from Slovenia. It didn’t matter how many beautiful ballrooms I performed in during my competitive career, stepping onto the sacred Strictly floor was the most nervous I had ever been.
“A little while ago I made the tough decision that Strictly 2021 would be my last. The show has given me an opportunity and freedom to create and express myself in front of millions of people every weekend for the last 9 years. The love and support I got from the team of producers was second to none. Louise Rainbow, Sarah James, Kim Winston, Jack Gledhill are just a few of the unsung heroes behind the success of the show – I am forever grateful to them! (sic)”

Ariana DeBose almost didn’t audition for West Side Story

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana DeBose almost didn’t audition for ‘West Side Story’.
The 31-year-old actress – who picked up the Best Supporting Actress gong for playing Anita in the Steven Spielberg remake of the 1961 movie musical – felt she wasn’t “going to be a candidate” for the role because she wasn’t famous enough and didn’t look like Rita Moreno, who played the role in the original movie.
Ariana – while in conversation with Nicola Coughlan for Interview magazine – was asked by the ‘Bridgerton star said: “I read that you didn’t want to audition for West Side Story?”
In response, Ariana told her: “Well, yes and no. I didn’t feel like I was going to be a candidate, because I didn’t have 500,000 followers. I wasn’t ‘a name.’ I was from Broadway, and typically when they make movie musicals in the States, they aren’t using theater talent, they’re using pop stars. The other thing was that the character, Anita, didn’t look like me—she’s not a Black woman.”
Ariana – who was involved with the debut of ‘Hamilton’ on Broadway- shared that she was in New York experiencing “chaotic peace” when she found out she was nominated for the Oscar.
She said: “I was walking by the East River in New York City. You’re on this walkway with the highway on one side and the tranquil water on the other. It was absolute chaotic peace, which is exactly how I felt about the news.”
After the ‘Derry Girls’ star asked her: “Who was the first person that you told?,” after hearing the great news, Ariana revealed that it was her high school pal Jonathan.
She said: “My best friend Jonathan was with me, so I guess him. He was my prom date in school, and he will actually be at the Oscars with me! I got him a ticket.”

Dolph Lundgren and Luke Wilson to star in ‘Best Man’

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolph Lundgren, Luke Wilson and Scout Taylor-Compton are to star in the action movie ‘Best Man’.
The indie movie is being directed by Shane Dax Taylor and is based on a screenplay by C. Alec Rossel and a story by Daniel Zirilli.
Production has just got underway on the project with Nicky Whelan, Brendan Fehr and Scott Martin also set to star.
The flick is set on a remote resort at a wedding where mercenaries take control of the property. It leads the groom, the best man and their best friend to defeat the terrorists and save the hostages.
‘Best Man’ will be produced by Michael Slifkin, Martin and Jack Sheehan of Archstone Entertainment.
Matthew Helderman and Luke Taylor are executive producing the movie for BondIt Media Capital, who are responsible for financing the film.
Dolph is set to reprise his role as Gunner Jensen in ‘The Expendables 4’ and suggested that it would be the biggest movie yet in the action franchise – which also features icons of the genre such as Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham.
The 64-year-old star – whose previous credits include ‘Rocky IV’ and ‘Aquaman’ – said: “Well, it’s definitely bigger. I mean, the budget is probably at least twice what the last one was, I think.”
Dolph believes that ‘The Expendables’ has been a successful series as it offers an “old school” approach to action movies.
He said: “It’s a special franchise, because a lot of these action franchises today are based on superheroes, and they’re for young viewers. So there’s no blood. Nobody gets killed. People get banished to another universe.
“But ‘Expendables’ is old school. Unfortunately, people get blown up, and shot, and there’s real fights and real stunts.”

Marcus Brigstocke to make cameo appearance in The Crown

OHMYGOSSIP — Marcus Brigstocke has landed a cameo role in ‘The Crown’.
The 48-year-old comedian will make an appearance in the hit Netflix royal drama and is said to be a “big fan” of the show.
It is not the first time Marcus has had a shock cameo role as he also appeared as a radio DJ in the 2003 film ‘Love Actually’.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Marcus is known for his comedy more than his acting, so it’s surprising he’s managed to secure another top cameo.
“He’s a big fan of ‘The Crown’ and is chuffed to be asked. There was no way he was going to turn it down.”
The panel show regular and radio star became a big hit in lockdown thanks to the virtual gigs he performed with his wife, fellow comic Rachel Parris.
The pair performed 80-minute sets every Tuesday over eight months for comedian James Gill’s Always Be Comedy club.
The upcoming fifth series of ‘The Crown’ will see Imelda Staunton take over from Olivia Colman in the role of Queen Elizabeth II but the actress revealed that she is very nervous about playing the monarch and “hopes” that the Queen does not watch her portrayal.
The 66-year-old star said: “When Claire Foy was in the first series, to all of us that felt like history. Then following on from that with Olivia Colman, again it seems like history. Now we start in 1991 playing someone much more recent. That’s the extra challenge I have, people saying, ‘Oh, I don’t think she’s like that at all’. I’m hoping she won’t be watching. I’m hoping she’ll probably say, ‘Do you know? I think I know myself now, I don’t need to watch anyone else who thinks they know me.'”

David Duchovny says ‘it’s interesting’ to work with director Judd Apatow

OHMYGOSSIP — David Duchovny says “it’s interesting” to work with director Judd Apatow.
‘The Bubble’ star admitted that the 54-year-old filmmaker’s “improvisational” approach – such as throwing out new storylines from behind the camera – is nothing he’s ever done while making a movie.
The 61-year-old actor told Collider: “Well, it’s interesting, because I had never worked quite this way. It’s very improvisational. I mean, I’ve improv’d, but I haven’t improv’d on a movie set quite like that. And a lot of it is, Judd’s on a microphone behind the monitor, and he’s pitching, he’s throwing out lines, he’s throwing out stories. I mean, you’ll hear something, cameras rolling. You’re on set, I’m looking across at Leslie Mann, and we’re doing a scene, and Judd will yell something that I’ve never heard before about my character, or anything. Like, ‘Oh, I didn’t know I did that, but now I’m going to say it.’ When we were saying … I said, ‘I’m sorry I fucked your agent. And your manager. And your lawyer. Oh, your divorce lawyer. And your divorce lawyer.’”
The movie – which follows a cast and crew attempting to make a movie during a pandemic starring Judd’s wife Leslie Mann, 50, and daughter Iris, 19 – is not the first time that David has worked with Judd as they collaborated on the classic sitcom ‘The Larry Sanders Show’.
After being asked how he got the role, David said: “Well, I’ve known Judd forever. I mean, when I did Larry Sanders, when I met Garry Shandling, Judd was 23 years old, I think. His first job was writing on Sanders, and met him then.”
In addition, ‘The X Files’ star played a character based on the future ‘Knocked Up’ director in the movie ‘The TV Set’, just before the director’s big break, which David called “weird”.
David said: “And I can’t remember the year I did it, but I did a movie with Jake Kasdan called ‘The TV Set’. And in that, I basically played Judd, because it was loosely based on Judd’s and Jake’s experience doing ‘Freaks and Geeks’. In fact, the day we did the table read before shooting that movie, was the night of the premiere of ‘The 40-Year-Old Virgin’. And so, it was very weird, because, in the morning, Judd was at the table as one of the producers, and I was just playing this guy named Judd Apatow that nobody knew.”

James Gunn says the set of The Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 has ‘a lot of sadness’

OHMYGOSSIP — James Gunn says the set of ‘The Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3’ has “a lot of sadness”.
The 55-year-old filmmaker – while responding to a question about “the vibes on set” – admitted that things were “great” but that people were “near-daily tears” about its being their final installment.
A Twitter user asked: “Mr Gunn, how are the vibes on set?”
In reply, James tweeted: “Honestly they’re great, I love this cast and crew, but there is also a lot of sadness and near-daily tears knowing this is the last Guardians movie for most of us. #gotgvol3.”
The third film – which will see Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel and Pom Klementieff return to their respective role in 2023 after being delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic – is believed to be James and his team’s “last time” bringing the comic book to life, saying it is “the end for us, the last time people will see this team of Guardians” in January.
He continued: “I just want to be true to the characters, the story and give people the wrap-up that they deserve for the story… That’s always a little bit scary; I’m doing my best.”
The ‘Suicide Squad’ director also promised the flick with be “big” and “different” from what people might think it will be.
He said: “It’s big; it’s so, so big and dark, and different from what people might be expecting it to be.”
In 2019, James hinted that this will be last go around franchise’s track after answering a fan question on Instagram about how many more films he wanted to helm, admitting “one more”.
However in August 2021, he said in an interview: “I’m a guy who never says never because I’ve seen too many people say never and be pulled back into the fray… But I see it as being my last Guardians movie.”

Olivia Bentley was shamed for her hair loss amid alopecia battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Bentley has been shamed for her hair loss.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star, who developed alopecia as a teenager, defended Will Smith after he slapped Chris Rock over his “poorly timed” gag about Jada Pinkett Smith’s battle with the condition at the Oscars.
She told The Sun newspaper’s Fab Daily: “It was probably really hard for Will to witness the pain Jada had already gone through learning to live with alopecia.
“I know what it feels like to be shamed over hair loss – I’ve been there are no how raw it can feel.”
The 26-year-old reality star, revealed how her hair began to fall out in clumps after she started taking the contraceptive pill which caused her to be a victim of bullying.
Olivia said: “I’ve been bullied and trolled for my alopecia journey, which began just after I started taking the pill, aged 16.
“At first my hair would come out in clumps in the shower, or sometimes when I ran my hands through it.
“After a few weeks the bald patches got worse and my mum took me to the doctor and they told me it was alopecia.”
Bentley revealed how she the majority of her time trying to conceal the bald patches by hiding under hats, wigs and hair extensions but despite her attempts she still faced nasty comments.
She added: “When I was 17 I was devastated when a boy I was dating told me he would not have kids with me because he didn’t want them to be bald.”
Olivia had managed to successfully hide her alopecia from school, but when she joined the cast of ‘Made in Chelsea’’ at the age of 19, she was the target of online abuse by internet trolls.
Bentley said: “People would constantly make bitchy comments, like ‘Her hair looks s***’, or ‘Why does her hair look like that?’
“I was even called a ‘bald b*****’ on Instagram after speaking openly about my hair loss for the first time.”
The ‘Celebs Go Dating’ star applauded Jada for her bravery and choosing not to hide behind a wig, after she revealed her alopecia diagnosis in 2018 and felt that Rock’s remarks at the Hollywood ceremony were unnecessary.
She concluded: “It didn’t warrant being slapped but it caused upset all round.
“Chris’ joke clearly wasn’t funny, it was personal and poorly timed. It’s a cheap shot, she was targeted cruelly. A woman’s look should never be the butt of a joke.”

Returning dancers announced for Strictly Come Dancing 2022

OHMYGOSSIP — The professional dancers returning for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ 2022 have been announced.
The hit BBC One dance show will return to screen this autumn for series 20 and a host of professional dancers will be involved.
Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Cameron Lombard, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Giovanni Pernice, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington and Nancy Xu will all feature in the new series.
The show’s executive producer Sarah James said in a statement: “We could not be more proud of the ‘Strictly’ professional dancers and we are so happy to have so many returning for 2022.
“The world-class skill and extraordinary care they bring to everything they do, from working with their celebrity partners to choreographing and performing remarkable and unforgettable routines, never ceases to amaze us. They really are the best in the business and we can’t wait to see what they bring to the ‘Strictly’ ballroom for our twentieth fabulous series.”
The series will be the first following the departure of popular pros Oti Mabuse and Aljaz Skorjanec, who have both announced that their exits from the show in recent weeks.
Mabuse – who is the only professional dancer to win consecutive Glitterball trophies – revealed that she “cried for hours” after quitting the show.
She said: “We cried for hours. I’m still crying now.”
Despite her tears, the 31-year-old dancer thinks it was the “right time” for her to exit the programme.
Oti explained: “When I came to Britain I said to myself, ‘My dream is to win ‘Strictly.’ And I have, and it was such an amazing seven years, but I’ve done what I needed to do.
“I feel so emotional. I lived my best life on that show and it gave me the career I have now, but you need to know when it’s the right time to get off that wave and try new things.
“I didn’t want to hold on and get to the point where I wasn’t happy any more. I left when I was at the peak, in terms of working on the show. It feels like I’m leaving family behind – even the backstage team, the people viewers don’t get to see – but when you know it’s time to go, you know.”

BBC announces Rolling Stones season to mark group’s 60th anniversary

OHMYGOSSIP — The BBC will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Rolling Stones with a special season of shows.
The broadcaster has announced a four-part series ‘My Life as a Rolling Stone’, which will premiere on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer this summer.
Each member of the iconic rock ‘n’ roll band – Sir Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and the late Charlie Watts – will have their own hour-long episode, featuring new interviews with the band members and tributes to the drummer.
A press release states that: “It tells the story of one of the world’s greatest rock ‘n’ roll bands in a way that has never been done before – by viewing the band through the musical lens of each member, delving deep into their personalities, passions and memories from the past sixty years. Four hour-long films, each an intimate portrait of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts, show how these individual musical geniuses came together to make the music that has provided the soundtrack to the lives of millions.”
Fans can also expect commentary from the likes of soul star P.P. Arnold, The Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde, Guns N’ Roses axe-slayer Slash, Sir Rod Stewart, Tina Turner and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler.
There will be “unseen footage and exclusive stories from Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood interwoven with new and archive interviews and performance.”
As well as tributes to Charlie, who passed away aged 80 in August 2021, from his bandmates and peers, there will also be archive interviews with the musician.
The series is helmed by award-winning filmmakers Oliver Murray and Clare Tavernor.
Joyce Smyth, manager of The Rolling Stones, says: “We are thrilled to celebrate sixty years of The Rolling Stones with these four films which give fans around the world a new and fascinating look at the band.”

Shirley Ballas wants Anton Du Beke to stay on Strictly judging panel

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley Ballas has begged ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ bosses to let Anton Du Beke stay on the judging panel.
The ballroom professional – who joined ‘Strictly’ as head judge, replacing Len Goodman, in 2017 – wants Anton to stay on permanently despite Bruno Tonioli being set to return for the new series later this year.
Du Beke temporarily stood in for Tonioli during the pandemic, as the lockdown made it difficult for Bruno to fly back and forth between UK and US, where he was filming ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
Shirley, 61, is now hoping to make it a five-judge panel featuring Bruno, Anton, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and herself.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: “I hope Anton stays, but we could have five seats. I just did the tour with Bruno and he was on point and on form.
“There is nobody like Bruno. He is a force to be reckoned with.”
Pro dancers Oti Mabuse and Aljaz Skorjanec have both now left the show but Shirley has teased that we could see a few homegrown talents join as replacements instead.
She added: “There are a few people coming in now who are absolutely off the chart. Trust me, it will be amazing.
“I won’t say any names as they are all in the running. There are a few homegrown talents, as they are trained and they represent this country. It would be nice to see.
“I know Aljaz very well and he has been phenomenal on the show and so has Oti. It is time for them to fly the coop, fly the nest and off they go.”

End date confirmed for Neighbours

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Neighbours’ will end on 1 August.
It was confirmed earlier this year that the long-running Australian soap will be finishing for good after Channel 5 decided to stop funding the series and despite thousands of fans signing a petition urging the move be reconsidered, show bosses have now revealed the final episode will air in both the UK and Australia on the same day in four months time.
Australian broadcaster 10 Peach plan to screen back-to-back episodes from 13 June in order to catch up with the UK broadcast.
A Network 10 spokesperson confirmed: “From Monday June 13, friends of Ramsay St can tune into double the fun, double the action with double episodes to celebrate the final season of ‘Neighbours’.
“The ultimate series finale will air on Monday August 1.”
Executive producer Jason Herbison recently vowed to leave the door open for the show to come back one day with the final episode, and plans to use the soap’s swansong to “celebrate” its long history.
He said: “Ramsay Street is eternal and I like to think it will live on in the hearts and minds of the viewers, long after the final scene. I would never, ever blow it up.
“The ending will be a celebration of the past and the present, with the door very much left open for a future.”
Channel 5 officially confirmed earlier in February that they were dropping the soap, which first aired in 1985, as production costs were too expensive and they’d rather allow funding to be focused on original UK dramas instead.
A spokesperson for Channel 5 said at the time: “’Neighbours’ will no longer air on Channel 5 beyond this summer.
“It’s been a much-loved part of our schedule for more than a decade, and we’d like to thank the cast, Fremantle and all of the production team for their fantastic work on this iconic series.
“We’d also of course like to thank the fans for their loyal support of Neighbours across the years.
“We recognise that there will be disappointment about this decision, however, our current focus is on increasing our investment in original UK drama, which has strong appeal for our viewers.”

Mandip Gill cut finger fighting Sea Devils in Doctor Who Easter special

OHMYGOSSIP — Mandip Gill cut her finger in a sword fight with the Sea Devils while filming the ‘Doctor Who’ Easter special.
‘Legend of the Sea Devils’, which airs on BBC One on April 17, will see Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor joined by companions Yaz (Mandip) and Dan (John Bishop) as they work together to fend off the Time Lord’s oldest enemies.
And Mandip, 34, has revealed she came out of filming with a minor battle wound.
She told RadioTimes.com: “We have this really amazing stunt and they hurt my finger and I can’t stop thinking about it!
“I was like, I actually hurt my finger because of a Sea Devil. Not many people get to say that.”
She laughed: “It didn’t go down very well.
“I was like, ‘This sword is really heavy. And I’ve hurt my finger now. Shall we stop?’”
The actress teased that fans should be prepared for an emotional watch.
She said: “It’s a big family fun adventure. Really swashbuckly, exciting, but actually there’s so much heart.
“And my favourite word for this episode is understanding.
“Chris [Chibnall] is really good at writing characters and emotion and we do get that through. It is epic. Like, the sets were amazing, the actors are amazing, the costumes and stuff… but there is so much heart in that episode.
“I’m really proud of this one. I’m really excited for people to see that.”
A synopsis for the episode read: “In a swashbuckling special adventure, the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker), Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Dan (John Bishop) come face to fin with one of the Doctor’s oldest adversaries: the Sea Devils.
“Why has legendary pirate queen Madam Ching come searching for a lost treasure? What terrifying forces lurk beneath the oceans of the nineteenth century? And did Yaz really have to dress Dan up as a pirate?”

Eddie Murphy in talks to play George Clinton

OHMYGOSSIP — Eddie Murphy is in talks to play George Clinton in a biopic.
The 60-year-old actor is busy tying down rights with the Parliament-Funkadelic leader and he and fellow producers John and Catherine Davis, of Davis Entertainment, will then look for writers and begin shopping the project.
The film is described as a “passion project” for the ‘Coming 2 America’ actor.
Clinton is widely considered to be one of the biggest innovators in funk, alongside James Brown and Sly Stone, and the film will explore his rise to fame from humble beginnings in North Carolina in the 1940s to the formation of his seminal bands Parliament and Funkadelic, to his major influence on a generation of hip-hop stars including Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Outkast, Wu-Tang Clan and others.
He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 alongside 15 other members of the Parrliament-Funkadelic collective, and in 2019, they were given Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Meanwhile, Eddie previously spoke about the radical transformations he undergoes for his movies, admitting spending up to six hours a day in the make-up chair is a “thankless” task because most audiences don’t “appreciate” the “drudgery”.
He said: “Every time I do it I say, ‘that’s the last time, I’m never doing this s*** ever again’ and then I’ll get an idea and ‘Ah s***, where the make-up chair?’ and I’ll end up sitting in the chair again but I never forget and it never gets any easier.
“The process didn’t get any easier on ‘Coming 2 America’ than on ‘Nutty Professor’, it’s still six hours in the chair put it on and an hour and half to take it off after everybody left at the end of the day, you’ve had this s*** glued on your face for twelve hours and then you have to go and sit and have them peel it off for an hour.
“It is work, it is drudgery and it’s even kind of thankless because the audience doesn’t appreciate it. Pete Bennett’s The Nan Movie cameo got cut

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine Tate had to apologise to Pete Bennett after his cameo was cut from ‘The Nan Movie’.
The 40-year-old former ‘Big Brother’ winner has revealed his scene in a lift filmed in Dublin with the titular character made famous by Tate, Nan, in the hit comedy series ‘The Catherine Tate Show’ didn’t end up being used, and he only found out just before the premiere earlier this month, when the 52-year-old comedienne informed him via email.
Speaking to hosts Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng on ‘Access All Areas’ on FUBAR Radio, Pete said: “Just before the film came out, I got a very apologetic email from Catherine Tate saying due to purely technical reasons, our scene in the lift together has been cut out and she’s gutted.”
Pete was furious at first.
He said: “I was like noooo, it’s such a shame, I was so p***** off.”
However, he added: “I took it on the chin and it was so sweet that Catherine apologised herself in the email.”
The reality legend suffers from Tourette’s – a condition that causes a person to make involuntary sounds and movements – and Catherine needed someone with the syndrome for the part.
Pete continued: “[Catherine] wanted people with Tourette’s in it. So my agent said, ‘hey this might be good for you’ and I said, well of course it is!”
On his audition with Catherine, he spilled: “In my audition, I just called her all the names under the sun and she called me lots of rude words as well. .. I was really happy because I really like her, I’m a massive fan.”
It turned out, the flame-haired funnywoman was a huge fan of his, too.
He recalled: “I went out there buzzing you know coz she’s going ‘you’re off the telly’ and I was like, ‘you’re actually star struck… with me?’ She liked me! She actually knew me from Big Brother.”
Pete found the movie hilarious and agreed that it didn’t need his cameo.
He said: “I did watch the film and I still think it’s a wicked film. I laughed my head off and its fine that this bit is cut out because the pacing is really good.”
And he’s even revealed he and Catherine are planning to work on something else in the future.
He teased: “Here’s a little bit of inside information. We might possibly be working on something in the future.”
Pete laughed: “‘Ohhhh, what’s gonna happen…?’ I don’t know, but she kind of did say, ‘don’t worry Pete, we’re gonna do something.’”

Kathryn Bigelow is directing the thriller Aurora

OHMYGOSSIP — Kathryn Bigelow is directing the thriller ‘Aurora’.
The ‘Zero Dark 30’ director is helming the adaptation of the David Koepp novel, which is due out in June – the man behind the scripts for ‘Jurassic Park’, the original ‘Mission: Impossible’ movie, and ‘Spiderman’ – for Netflix.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 70-year-old Academy Award winner is producing the movie with her long standing producing partner Greg Shapiro and Gavin Polone, who has previously worked with the 58-year-old author on other films, such as ‘Stir of Echoes’ and ‘Secret Window’.
They also reported that the movie is seeking a budget in excess of $100 million, however Netflix declined to comment but sources close to the magazine claim the project is “still in the development stage”.
The movie is centred on the aftermath of a solar storm that wipes out most of the world’s power grids and how it impacts a single mother attempting to protect her teenage daughter and other family members, such as her estranged millionaire brother who has built a bunker for this very sort of predicament with his money made working in Silicon Valley.
While the book has not been released, industry figures have praised the book and David for being “one of the greatest storytellers of all time.”
Scott Frank, the creator of ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ said: “There’s a reason David Koepp is the most successful screenwriter of all time. It’s because he’s one of the greatest storytellers of all time. Aurora is up there with his best: scary, funny, and thought-provoking.”
Author Stephen King called the book “a real page turner”.

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen wants to redesign Buckingham Palace

OHMYGOSSIP — Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen wants to work his magic on Buckingham Palace.
The ‘Changing Rooms’ star compared Queen Elizabeth’s residence to a tired hotel and thinks that it could be improved with TK Maxx furniture.
Laurence recalled how he took a group of wallpaper designers around the palace and is not surprised that the monarch has opted to live at Windsor Castle instead.
The 57-year-old designer told The Times newspaper: “Bits of it feel like a run-down country house hotel… not one of the good ones.
“It’s a mess. I’m not surprised Her Majesty’s left it.”
Laurence has revealed that he would relish the chance to put his own touch on the 775-room building.
He said: “I would quite like to do Buckingham Palace if they trusted me to really give it some welly.”
Meanwhile, the designer famously wears leather trousers on ‘Changing Rooms’ – which was successfully revived on Channel 4 last year – and claimed the only reason he favours them is because he can easily wipe paint from the garments.
Laurence said: “To be 57, squeezing into leather trousers and painting walls felt a bad idea.
“I wear leather for a simple reason — if I kneel in paint, I can scrape it off. Jeans or cords, those are ruined.”
The star also joked that the return of ‘Changing Rooms’ has allowed him to “come back from beyond the grave” and revive his TV career.
He joked: “Fundamentally, it’s an enormous opportunity to come back from beyond the grave.
“I have an entirely new leather wardrobe, which has been made by my tailor in the Cotswolds.
“He is forever doing Lord Somebody-or-other’s tweeds and then I go in and say, ‘Darling, I want leather and rock ’n’ roll. I want to look like a middle-aged Adam Ant.'”
