OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Revel Horwood has delayed his wedding until 2024.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge got engaged when his partner Jonathan Myring popped the question in March 2020, but the pair have had to put their nuptials back.
Craig said: “I was going to have it this year and then Strictly Ballroom with Kevin Clifton came along and then we put the date until 2023 and now I am working again.”
The pair are to wed at their Victorian mansion, but it is not yet ready to be their wedding venue.
He said: “It’s a new house that needs a lot doing to it. I thought I would get it done in a year or two but there is no way it is going to be ready.”
Craig has also been shocked to discover how expensive weddings are.
He is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: “I have got to pay for it and I did not realise how expensive weddings were. I had no idea.”
The 57-year-old choreographer recently admitted he didn’t expect to get engaged again.
Craig wasn’t ever considering tying the knot for a second time – after he was previously married to Jane Horwood from 1990 to 1992 – but he couldn’t resist when Jonathan popped the question.
He said: “Marriage wasn’t something I was considering. I’d already been married and divorced and vowed to never do it again. I never thought I’d get married to a bloke, but never say never.”
But there nearly wasn’t a wedding, as Craig rejected gardener Jonathan’s proposal at first.
However, the star didn’t waste much time in changing his mind.
He said: “At first I said, ‘No!’ As a nervous reaction. Twenty seconds later I said, ‘Yes,’ because Jonathan is so gorgeous.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Ellison’s wife has been in a “kind of mourning” for him since he was diagnosed with a brain disorder.
The former ‘The Bill’ star has been left unable to speak after he suffered a stroke 18 months ago and was later diagnosed with aphasia – which Bruce Willis was revealed to be suffering from last week – and Anita admitted it has “taken a long time” to come to terms with his condition.
Speaking about Chris’ aphasia, which has affected his cognitive abilities, Anita said: “Mainly it’s been so lonely because Chris wouldn’t go out.
“He felt really embarrassed. He just grabbed my arm because he knew he couldn’t speak. He didn’t want people to see him like that. We’ve kind of been like hermits really. He’s the same intelligent man inside. It’s like coming out.
“I’ve been in a kind of mourning really. It’s taken a long time to come to terms with it, I have cried so much.”
But Anita admitted she has felt a “great sense of relief” since the couple opted to go public and raise awareness of aphasia.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’, she added: “I now feel a great sense of relief.
“I have seen a great change in Chris. At first, he didn’t want to go on TV or anyone to know. People still remember Chris when we go out. Now, hopefully people will understand.
“I wanted people to understand what aphasia is. When you can get it out there and educate people … it’s a new word, aphasia. Just be patient. I will always be there to answer for him. I just say, ‘Chris can understand you, he just can’t answer back.’ ”
Chris is best known for playing DCI Frank Burnside in ITV police series ‘The Bill’.

OHMYGOSSIP — June Brown’s death has hit the ‘EastEnders’ cast “like a punch in the gut”, according to Diane Parish.
The 52-year-old star – who plays Denise Fox in the BBC One soap – has admitted it was a “very sombre day” on set yesterday (04.04.22) when the cast and crew were told of the late Dot Cotton star’s passing aged 95, which comes after the recent deaths of Albert Square stars Dame Barbara Windsor (Peggy Mitchell) and Anna Karen (Aunt Sal).
Diane said: “We were all told yesterday. I wasn’t there at the time when everyone was called to be told about June’s passing, but I got a phone call from one of the cast members and everyone is devastated.
“It was like a punch in the gut.
“I suppose in this awful way you expect that not everyone is going to live forever, although we hoped June would live forever.
“But it was just that thing that we didn’t want it to happen and we didn’t expect it to happen, so it really took everyone’s breath away.
“It was a very sombre day, by all accounts, and it will be for quite a while.
“She was the rudder in the ship, she was the definition of ‘EastEnders’. And it was a real genuine privilege to know her and work with her.
“We’ve lost some great ones – we’ve lost Barbara, June and Anna Karen this year. So it’s tough at ‘EastEnders’ at the minute.”
Diane joked June – who played Dot from 1985 to 2020 – was the “real guvnor” of the soap during her time in Walford.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, she added: “Every scene, every moment she was in was a gem.
“The minute she walked onto the set, we knew we were going to have something very, very special with her.
“She could have reams and reams of lines and she could remember them better than some of the youngest of us. And she would re-arrange the scripts.
“All due respect to our bosses, but June was the real guvnor.”
Former ‘EastEnders’ star Ricky Norwood – who played Arthur “Fatboy” Chubb in the soap from 2010 to 2015 – also appeared on the show to remember June, who he praised as a “true pro”.
Tearfully, the star said: “June was … it’s really hard talking about her in the past tense. We get to work with people a lot and when you’re working with people in close surroundings, hour and hour and day in, day out, you do form a bond with each other.
“With June it was so special because straight away my character wasn’t just about the slang and he wasn’t a superficial type of character, there were layers we were trying to put into him. She was so kind and open.
“The first scene I had ever had with her, I couldn’t look her in the eye. It was Mrs B, it was June Brown.
“I grew up with her and it was hard to look her in the eye. I remember her saying, ‘If you can’t look me in the eye, look me at the end of the nose and we’ll get the shot, get the eyeliner and we’ll move it on.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Bowen only ate tomatoes and mozzarella for two weeks, due to pregnancy cravings.
The former ‘Love Island’ star – who announced in January that she and her husband Alex Bowen are expecting their first child together – has opened about her unusual eating habits, which have included chowing down on seven slices of toast with peanut butter a day.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Olivia, 28 said: “I eat around seven pieces of white toast and peanut butter some days!
“It’s sometimes all I can eat. I also went two weeks just eating tomato and mozzarella.
“The biggest thing is definitely McDonald’s, though. I said to Alex before this interview, ‘We need to go to McDonald’s later!’ ”
The reality stars appeared on series two of hit show in 2016, where they finished in second place, and the couple then married two years later in 2018.
For the pair’s next chapter, Olivia can’t wait to become a mum.
She added: “We’re just two peas in a pod. We always say that we’re soulmates, so to have a mini version of the two of us on the way, it’s so beautiful.”
Alex, 29, said: “It’s an emotion you can’t even explain.”
Olivia admitted she is “nervous” to see her body look different during pregnancy, but those anxieties are far outweighed by the joy she feels about expecting a child.
She added: “I feel like I’ve been lucky in that I’ve been able to remain active so far.
“I still feel quite fit. I can’t say I’m not completely bothered about changing – I’m nervous to see my body look different.
“But above all, I’m just happy to be pregnant. I know so many women that have struggled in that sense, so for me to worry about my body seems so irrelevant. It would feel selfish.
“I’ve got a personal trainer for a husband, so hopefully he’ll whip me into shape later on!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gabriella Wilde has paid tribute to the NHS as she thanked health workers for looking after her unwell son.
The ‘Poldark’ star took to Instagram to reveal her boy, Skye, three, was recently admitted to hospital, but thanks to the health service he is now “well and home playing”.
Gabriella – who played Caroline Penvenen in the BBC period drama series – wrote: “Earlier this week my darling Skye was being cared for by the incredible team of doctors and nurses @ruhbath hospital. I am so deeply grateful to all of those angels who looked after him and I with such grace and care. Thank you thank you thank you for everything you do and all the sacrifices you make to take care of and heal others. I am so grateful to live in a country with national health care . It is something we must NEVER take for granted. Skye is now well and home playing with his brothers (sic)”
In 2020, Gabriella – who also has sons Sasha, eight, and Shiloh, six, with her husband, singer/songwriter Alan Pownall – admitted she had her 18th century ‘Poldark’ costumes adapted to enable her to breastfeed Skye on set.
She said: “I have never been one for making demands.
“The only time I have is when I brought my baby on set. He was four months old when we started filming the third series of ‘Poldark’.
“Brilliantly, the entire filming schedule was laid around his feeding time.
“My costumes were especially designed so that I could feed him. He was sick on me nearly every day which gave the costume designers a bit of a heart attack since you can’t really wash these elaborate costumes.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Split’ director Dee Koppang O’Leary has teased her husband Dermot O’Leary’s cameo in the BBC show.
Dee – who helms the divorce drama, which has returned for its third and final instalment – admitted the ‘This Morning’ host will make a “blink-and-you’ll-miss-it” appearance in the programme.
Speaking to Radio Times magazine, the 43-year-old star said: “My husband pops up in a very, very funny blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo playing himself in it as well, which is good. Playing a breakfast TV presenter.
“It was just a very organic thing. It really is blink-and-you’ll-miss-it – it’s a tiny, tiny moment.
“There’s a lovely moment in the script where it says one of the characters is being interviewed by a TV presenter and I was like, ‘Well, I might be able to help with that’. So yeah, he came down to set for the day, which was very fun.”
But the show’s celebrity cameos don’t stop there as fans can look forward to a few more guest appearances from familiar faces.
She added: “There’s some really fun cameos. We’ve got Lindsay Duncan and Jemima Rooper, and we’ve got Lily Cole and Tom Rhys Harries.”
In June, it was announced Dee – who has worked on ‘Bridgerton’ and ‘The Crown’ – had joined ‘The Split’ as lead director.
The series features Nicola Walker, Annabel Scholey and Fiona Button, who play the Defoe sisters, and Deborah Findlay, who portrays their formidable mother Ruth.
Creator Abi Morgan said at the time: “For every writer there are characters that stay with them, long after a show is over, Hannah Defoe and her family are just that, and it’s been a welcome balm after a difficult year globally, to reunite this brilliant cast.
“‘The Split’ has been building to this exhilarating final act for the Defoes as they navigate their way through the marital make up and break up, both personally and professionally, at Noble, Hale and Defoe.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’ will make a documentary to mark William Roche’s 90th birthday.
The soap star – who has played Ken Barlow for more than 60 years – will mark nine decades on Earth on April 25th with the airing of the one-off special ‘Happy Birthday Bill’ that will include a retrospective of his life and career with contributions from friends, family and colleagues paying tribute to the legend of the cobbles.
Of the milestone, the 89-year-old actor said: “I don’t feel nearly 90 at all. The Coronation Street cast are like a second family to me and I can’t quite believe I’ve been lucky enough to play Ken Barlow for over 60 years.
“It’s also been lovely revisiting past memories and remembering all the wonderful things I have seen and done over the years.
“I hope the viewers enjoy watching the documentary as much as I did making it.”
The documentary will show his life both before – such as his days in the military – and after working on the iconic ITV soap, which he has done since its inception in 1960. His time on the show has included a number of groundbreaking storylines, like his tumultuous relationship with his wife Deirdre – who was played by the late Anne Kirkbride – who was found out to be having an affair with Mike Baldwin (Johnny Briggs) in 1983 to an audience of 20 million people and dramatic newspaper headlines.

OHMYGOSSIP — Karen Gillan would be “very keen” to reprise her role as Amy Pond in ‘Doctor Who’.
The 30-year-old actress shot to fame after her breakthrough role as the companion to Matt Smith’s Time Lord on the iconic sci-fi show between 2010 and 2013, and she would love to return alongside Matt and Arthur Darvill, who played fellow companion Rory Williams.
She said: “Never say never. If I was asked I would be really, really interested and keen. It would be really amazing.
“I’d like to do it with Matt Smith and Arthur Darvill if I was going to go back.”
The 30-year-old actress – who went on to star in the blockbuster ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘Jumanji’ movies – misses being part of the “beloved show”.
She added to RadioTimes.com: “I was 21 years old, so a baby. That was the big break of my career. I went from not working very much as an actor to being in a very beloved show in the UK – and I miss it so much, actually.”
In 2020, Karen revealed she would love to turn ‘Doctor Who’ into a musical.
The Scottish star has an idea to take the adventures in time and space to the stage, complete with song and dance.
She said: “Doctor Who-sical, did you just say? Bravo. I like that. You know what would be cool? Combing sci-fi with a musical.”
Karen’s comment came after she admitted she wishes she could re-shoot her early ‘Doctor Who’ performances because she has learned so much more about her craft since her first episodes as Amy.
She said: “I’d go back to the first half of the first series that I did and just redo that acting. I know a lot more about acting now … I was a wee child.”
Karen has already begun planning the stage hit and would like her old on-screen husband Arthur to write the music. I would like to do something like that. Like go around on a spaceship and do original songs written by Arthur Darvill, because he’s really good at that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘It’s a Sin’ leads this year’s nominees for the BAFTA TV Awards.
The hit Channel 4 series – which centres on a group of gay men and their friends during the Aids crisis in the UK – has been nominated for 11 gongs in total, including five in the craft categories and six in the TV awards categories.
Olly Alexander – who also stars in the band Years Years – has received a nomination in the Leading Actor category, and his co-star Lydia West has been nominated in the Leading Actress category.
However, she’ll face competition for the award from Kate Winslet – who starred in ‘Mare of Easttown’ – as well as Jodie Comer, Denise Gough, Emily Watson and Niamh Algar.
Elsewhere, ‘Landscapers’ – the true crime comedy-drama – has received seven nominations.
The show stars Olivia Colman and David Thewlis as a married couple whose lives are transformed when dead bodies are discovered in their garden.
David, 59, has been nominated for the Leading Actor accolade, while the show itself has been nominated in the Original Music, and Mini-Series categories.
‘Help’, ‘Time’ and ‘We Are Lady Parts’ have all been handed six nominations each, and Netflix’s hit series ‘Sex Education’ – which stars the likes of Gillian Anderson, Emma Mackey and Asa Butterfield – has earned five nominations.
Meanwhile, ‘A Very British Scandal’ – the drama series that featured Claire Foy and Paul Bettany as the Duke and Duchess of Argyll – has four nominations in the craft categories.
Richard Ayoade – who is best known for starring in ‘The IT Crowd’ – will host the BAFTA TV Awards for the third consecutive year on May 8, when the ceremony will be held at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
