Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson to reunite for The Kill Room

OHMYGOSSIP — Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson will reunite on ‘The Kill Room’.
The ‘Pulp Fiction’ co-stars will team up for the dark comedy that sees the pair return to familiar territory of hijinks and hired guns.
The story has been written by Jonathan Jacobson and follows a hitman, his boss (Jackson), an art dealer (Thurman) and a money-laundering scheme that accidentally turns the assassin into an overnight sensation and forces her to play the art world against the underworld.
Nicol Paone is set to direct with Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman and Jon Keeyes producing under their Yale Productions banner.
Production will get underway this spring in New Jersey and New York.
Paone said: “Getting to make ‘The Kill Room’ – an already incredible script – with Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson is beyond my wildest dreams.
“Every moment they’re onscreen, they are both enviable and eye-catching. I am eternally grateful to both of them for saying yes, and I am thrilled to bring this to life alongside Anne Clements and Yale Productions.”
Levine and Beckerman said: “The combination of Uma and Sam for this project is a dream come true. We are certain that Nicol is going to deliver a special film, and one that strikes the perfect balance between dark humour and edge-of-your-seat thrills.”
Samuel recently revealed that he prefers to star in “popcorn movies” and gravitates towards projects he enjoyed when he was younger.
The 73-year-old star – who has appeared in ‘Star Wars’ and the ‘Jurassic Park’ franchises during a prolific film career – said: “I don’t do a lot of cinematic character studies. I tend to do popcorn movies and movies that I would have gone to see when I was a kid, movies that make me happy. Because, I think, people go to the movies to be drawn into joy and excitement of life.”

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! moved to accommodate World Cup

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ has been moved because of the World Cup.
The ITV show will be moving its premiere date from end of November to end of October, as this year’s World Cup is being held in the winter in Qatar.
A TV insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “The best thing for viewers was to just avoid the clash altogether. The last thing anyone wants is for the audience to have to choose between the latest from the jungle and an England game.”
The World Cup usually takes place in the summer, but has been switch to the winter time this year due to the soaring temperatures in Qatar in June and July.
As a result, ITV has been forced to change the schedule for ‘I’m a Celebrity, with the long-running show kicking off on October 30.
Las month, meanwhile, a source revealed that the BBC was weighing up different ways of resolving a potential clash between ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and the World Cup.
The hit show is one of the BBC’s flagship TV series, but the broadcaster is facing a big dilemma, with matches being staged at 6pm or 7pm UK time.
A source said prior to the draw: “BBC bosses are confident there will be plenty of room for footballs and glitterballs this autumn.
“We haven’t had the draw yet so it is early days to speculate on what games the BBC and ITV will pick to show.”
England are among the favourites for this year’s tournament, while Wales and Scotland are both still trying to qualify for this year’s World Cup.

She confessed: “They’re the only people you have around you.
“Obviously you’re friends with them but sometimes when you go into the real world as an adult you’re never going to be friends with everyone.

Meanwhile, Faye Winter previously revealed that some of her co-stars have already stopped speaking to her.
Speaking to Vicky Pattison on her ‘The Secret To’ podcast, she said: “A lot of the ex islanders, they had a lot of opinions on me, some ex islanders.
“And I don’t know them, and I don’t take people’s opinions when I don’t know them to heart at all.
“But it was the one opinion, that I thought, ‘you know what goes on’, and I thought, like hang on!
“I am a little bit, like, I’ve come out and there were obviously a few that didn’t want to talk to me. And i was like, ‘oh don’t you?’

Harpreet Kaur’s sister will remain part of her business

OHMYGOSSIP — Harpreet Kaur’s sister will remain a shareholder in their dessert parlour business – even though Lord Sugar is yet to meet her.
The ‘Apprentice’ star recently won Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment, and her sister Gurvinder is poised to remain as a shareholder and a director of the company.
Harpreet explained: “My sister is going to remain as a director in the business. They made a big deal of it on the show but it’s not that big of a deal.
“Lord Sugar is getting two for the price of one and is looking forward to meeting my sister but if it stopped him from investing then she was going to step down.”
Harpreet insisted Lord Sugar has no problem with Gurvinder’s involvement with the business.
She told MailOnline: “During the interviews there was nothing they said about the business plan, they had no issue with it. I was so confident because I thought if the only problem is the company structure, not the business itself, then I’m onto a winner.
“They had no problems with the costs, expenses, figures, so if it was just a case of my sister being a shareholder then we were happy to change it but she’s going to stay.
“We didn’t have to argue or anything – it was a bit of fun TV editing but Lord Sugar doesn’t have a problem.”
Meanwhile, Harpreet also revealed she’s currently “too busy” for a relationship.
The TV star admitted she’s fully focused on her business efforts, rather than her love life.
She said: “It would be lovely to settle down one day but right now if someone asked me on a date, I’d say yes, the 15th December 2023 – I am too busy.
“Unfortunately, any potential dates are going to have to wait. The man of my dreams could walk past me, and I wouldn’t bat an eyelid.”

CBBC star Chelsie Whibley dies aged 30

OHMYGOSSIP — CBBC star Chelsie Whibley has died at the age of 30.
The actress – who starred in ‘Dani’s House’ and ‘Sadie J’ – passed away on Saturday (02.04.22) after being rushed to a hospital in Southampton.
In a statement, her husband Glyn said: “Chelsie took a rapid turn for the worse and became unresponsive. She was rushed to Southampton General Hospital.
“It is with deepest regret that I have to inform everyone that our dearest beautiful Chelsie sadly passed away this afternoon at 2.45pm.”
Chelsie suffered from cystic fibrosis, which can cause breathing difficulties, and she was considered to be in the high risk category amid the coronavirus crisis.
However, Glyn revealed she wasn’t in any pain when she passed away.
He said: “It was very quick and she was not in any pain.”
In 2020, Chelsie admitted she feared she might not live long enough to see the end of the COVID-19 crisis.

“But on the other hand, I don’t know how much time I have and it breaks me knowing I can’t see them. I love them all so much and I just want to be with them because I know I don’t have long left.”

Daniel Kaluuya to make screenwriting debut on The Kitchen

OHMYGOSSIP — Daniel Kaluuya is to make his screenwriting debut on ‘The Kitchen’.
The Oscar-winning actor has co-written the futuristic dystopian drama for Netflix alongside Joe Murtaugh from an original idea he came up with alongside Kibwe Tavares and Daniel Emmerson.
The project is set in London in 2044 and paints a bleak futuristic world in which the rich and poor has been stretched to its limits. With all forms of social housing having been eradicated, London’s working classes have been forced to live in temporary accommodation on the outskirts of the city.
The Kitchen, however, is London’s last village harbouring residents that refuse to move on and move out of the place they call home. The story revolves around local residents Izi, who is desperately trying to find a way out, and 12-year-old Benji, who has lost his mother and is searching for a family, as they battle to survive in a system that is stacked against them.
Izi will be played by the actor and musician Kane Robinson, who is best known for his role in Netflix’s ‘Top Boy’ series, while Benji will be played by young newcomer Jedaiah Bannerman – who was discovered by casting director Aisha Bywaters.
Daniel said: “In 2011, I was in my barbershop and there was a guy boasting about smash and grabs – kids doing million-pound heists in a minute, getting paid £200 to do it. I saw the potential to unlock a unique story door to the inequality, fatherhood, class, joy, resilience, courage, defiance and care of London.
“Now, nearly a decade later, Kibwe Tavares, Daniel Emmerson and I are about to start production, immersing ourselves in a dystopian London that interrogates what ‘care’ means, at home and as a society and the dangers in our future if we stay indifferent to everything around us.”

John Altman: June Brown was like a second mother to me

OHMYGOSSIP — John Altman says June Brown was like a “second mother” to him.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star has paid tribute to his late on-screen mum, who passed away last weekend aged 95, admitting his own mother used to say she looked more like a mum to him than she did.
John – who played ‘Nasty’ Nick Cotton in the BBC soap, opposite June as his ma Dot Cotton – said: “She was a dear friend. Someone I could confide in, and probably my second mother, really.

John admitted the late Albert Square icon had “slowed right down” when he last saw her around a month ago.
He explained: “She was tired. She’d slowed right down.
“I’d like to say, so much thanks and God bless her family who’ve been fantastic, rallying round her – they’ve taken great care of her.
