OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Holden has joked Simon Cowell was “probably glad to get home” after lengthy days filming ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ while sat next to her.
The pair have returned to the judging panel – alongside David Walliams and Alesha Dixon – for a new series of the ITV talent show, and the 51-year-old TV and radio presenter joked she has inundated the music mogul with “useless information” about her life for hours on end while they were shooting the show’s auditions process.
Amanda said: “He literally said, ‘You know when you’re good friends with someone that silence is actually a good thing’.
“I was like, ‘I know, I know’. But I never stopped talking!
“I talked about everything from what I feed my pets to what wallpaper I’ve got. So, poor chap, he’s been inundated with useless information about my life!”
She joked: “I’m sure he was probably glad to get home at the end of the day.”
The ‘Neighbours’ actress admitted she and her fellow panellists are grateful “more than ever” to be back on the show, after the programme took a year off last year due to safety concerns as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
She is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s Biz TV column as saying: “We’re always grateful for the gig but this year, more than ever, we are happy to be back sat next to each other and be reunited.
“As human beings, we’re all in a different space now. I think Simon especially is really loving life and is prioritising different things.
“He is finally reaping the benefits of 40-odd years of hard work in this industry.
“And he is in a place where he’s now doing stuff he wants to do rather than has to do. That’s made such a huge difference to him.
“‘Britain’s Got Talent’ has always been top of his list of things he wants to continue to be part of.”
BGT’s 15th series returns to ITV on Saturday (16.04.22).

OHMYGOSSIP — Elisabeth Moss was gutted to miss out on starring in ‘The Power of the Dog’.
The 39-year-old actress was asked by close friend Jane Campion to take on the part of Rose Gordon, which ultimately went to Kirsten Dunst, as she had to drop out due to filming commitments for ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’.
The ‘Invisible Man’ star and the director had talked about her portraying the widowed inn owner in the acclaimed Western psychological drama “for years”.
She told Empire: “I mean, I’m not gonna lie, I wish… I wish… I wish… I could have done it. Of course.
“It’s hard, because I really, really wanted to do it and [director Jane Campion] and I talked about it for a couple of years. But she and I have been very kind to each other in that process, knowing that sometimes these things just don’t work out, and it’s not really anyone’s fault.”
Elisabeth admitted she would have been even more disappointed if the part went to an actress she is not a fan of, but she was thrilled for ‘Spider-Man’ star Kirsten.
She continued: “I was actually so happy that Kirsten was doing it because I respect her so much as an actress.
“I think if that role had gone to somebody that I didn’t love, I don’t think I would have liked that. And obviously, it’s such a beautiful film.”
Kirsten, also 39, was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for the role.
The ‘Her Smell’ star is still “desperate” to work with Jane again.
She added: “In the end, I’m happy that it happened the way that it did, but I would say my only desperate desire is to work with Jane again.”
Elisabeth previously starred in Jane’s TV series ‘Top of the Lake’.
Kirsten starred alongside Benedict Cumberbatch (Phil Burbank), Jesse Plemons (George Burbank) and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Phil Burbank) in ‘The Power of the Dog’.

Salma Hayek replaces Thandiwe Newton in Magic Mike’s Last Dance

OHMYGOSSIP — Salma Hayek has replaced Thandiwe Newton in ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’.
Newton has made the “difficult decision” to step away from the male stripper movie – which will see Channing Tatum reprise his role as Mike Lane – to “deal with family matters”.
A Warner Bros. spokesperson told Variety: “Thandiwe Newton has made the difficult decision to step away from the production of Warner Bros. Pictures’ ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’ to deal with family matters.”
Hayek is now expected to play the female lead character in the motion picture, which is being made for HBO Max.
Reid Carolin – who penned the first two films – is returning to write the third movie, and the screenwriter previously hinted the female lead will play a huge part in the movie.
He said: “It’s really about a woman stuck at a horrible strip show like a Chippendales and then realising, ‘What the hell am I doing here?’
“And then Magic Mike comes down from the ceiling. She gets to go down the rabbit hole and asks, ‘What do I really want?’ ”
Tatum has also spoken about the character, admitting she is “really strong, almost stronger than Mike”.
He added: “We’ve never done a traditional love story, and this isn’t a traditional love story.”
Tatum recently teased that ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’ will be “wild.”
He said: “We’re gonna go big. I mean truly, we’re not gonna leave anything on the bench.
“We’re taking it out, we’re putting it on stage, it’s gonna be wild.
“I was like, ‘Why are we going to make a third one if not just go really, really, really for the stars?’ ”
The ‘Lost City’ star admitted returning to the stripper franchise – which since its debut in 2012 has gone on to spawn a stage musical and a reality television series – has been “fun”, because the project is so familiar.
He said: “It’s been fun reuniting with the crew. [‘Magic Mike’] is kind of like home.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Suranne Jones won’t watch herself in ‘Gentleman Jack’ because it reminds her of the passing of her father.
The 43-year-old actress lost her parent to COVID in January 2021 while filming the second season of the hit BBC period drama, and she doesn’t want to be reminded of the painful time in her life.
The ‘Doctor Foster’ star – who plays Anne Lister – also revealed she struggled to remember her lines as she grappled with grief.
Speaking to The Sunday Times Magazine, she said: “You’re filming in a pandemic, everyone is wearing masks. Every two days you’ve got someone coming in to test you.
“To have a parent pass of the thing that you are reminded of all the time … Your brain filters out stuff, so I couldn’t remember my lines.
“Most of the time I was going, ‘What is it? What am I saying?’ That will probably haunt all the crew. My brain was obviously going, ‘This is not important.’”
In a previous interview, Suranne admitted she found it hard to adjust to real life after her dad’s passing and struggled to get back into a normal routine because of her anxiety.
She said: “I suffer with anxiety anyway. I didn’t know what the right thing to do was. When you are on set… and this still applies, the restrictions are really in place.
“It is quite scary. All my jobs got concertinaed. Because of COVID. And my dad passing … I was away a lot.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jake Gyllenhaal thinks his role in ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ changed his approach to acting.
The 41-year-old star played villain Quentin Beck/ Mysterio in the 2019 superhero movie and says that the film helped him to take himself less seriously as a performer.
In an interview with Vanity Fair about his career, Jake said: “What was interesting, when I went into ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’… I think I was taking myself too seriously.
“In fact, I’m sure of it. I think I had really lost that sense of play and fun that I am. That sort of, that class clown that I talk about that found that idea of just popping a shoulder and making a funny face.”
The ‘Ambulance’ star explained: “It was such a cathartic thing to be able to throw away all that seriousness and really become the actor that I think I’ve always wanted to be in a lot of ways.”
Jake explained that he enjoyed making the movie – which featured Tom Holland as the web-slinging hero – and it made him realise that acting should be a fun profession.
The ‘Brokeback Mountain’ star said: “And, oh my god, like it’s all about the experience that you have with the people you’re making that film with.
“And, I think that we go through journeys in our life where we’re finding ourselves and, in the case of ‘Spider-Man’, I think I realised, ‘Hey, you know, acting is really fun. You know? Enjoy it! And the people here are fantastic! Enjoy them and enjoy the life around you cause life goes by super fast.'”
Jake’s latest role is in Michael Bay’s action thriller ‘Ambulance’ and he claims that he fulfilled a dream by working with the ‘Transformers’ filmmaker.
He said: “I always wanted to make a movie with Michael Bay. I’m drawn to filmmakers and their vision of the world – they’re all so varying and different. I’ve heard so many things about the way Michael Bay makes movies. You know, the bullhorn, the bombastic behaviour and all this stuff. And I was like, ‘Ooh, what’s that like?'”

Cary Elwes joins Rebel Moon cast

OHMYGOSSIP — Cary Elwes has joined the cast of ‘Rebel Moon’.
The 59-year-old actor has been boarded the Netflix movie with Corey Stoll, Michiel Huisman and Alfonso Herrera.
The quartet will feature alongside Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Rupert Friend and Stuart Martin.
The sci-fi project is set in a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius. A young woman (Boutella) is dispatched to seek out warriors from neighbouring planets to help them make a stand.
Zack Snyder is directing the film from a script he wrote with Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad. He is also producing along with his wife Deborah Snyder and Wesley Coller for The Stone Quarry.
Cary starred in the classic 1987 movie ‘The Princess Bride’ but recently spoke out against plans to remake the film as he feels it should be left in the past.
He said: “For the studios, the cost of promotion and advertising has become so prohibitive now that they want to cut down on that.
“Their feeling is that when they do a reboot or remake, they have a target audience, so they don’t have to spend as much money on marketing. So I understand the motivation.”
The ‘Saw’ star added: “But my theory is, look, if the movie is popular and it’s done well, and people love it, I think it’s pretty much best left alone. If a film has landed in the hearts of the public, then, to me, it is not a good idea to try and revisit it.”

The weather reporter shared the exciting news that he is set to tie the knot with his fiancée Imogen McKay, who he has been dating since 2020 when he was set up on a blind date with his now bride-to-be.
Sharing details of the romantic proposal, he said: “I took Imogen for a walk along the beach. The weather was sunny and warm, and the sea was crystal clear. ‘This is it,’ I thought. Imogen’s not one for taking photos, but as I persuaded her to pose for a picture overlooking the sea, I kneeled down to take the engagement ring I’d hidden inside my rucksack. When she turned around, I was on one knee, and asked her the biggest question of my life – and she said yes. It was an amazing moment.”
Alex was “adamant” he didn’t want to find love on a dating website – and so turned to his friends for help.
Recalling how they met, he added to Hello! magazine: “I’d been on my own for a while and was ready for a new relationship. But I was adamant I didn’t want to try a dating website. I’m of an age where before social media, you met a girl, took her phone number and called to invite her out. When I asked a friend if she knew anyone she thought I’d get on with, she cheekily replied, ‘I do – but she’s way too good for you.’ I laughed and told her, ‘She’s the one that I want!’ We hit it off from the start. Richard Hammond mocks pal Jeremy Clarkson’s memory

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Brain Reaction’ presenter Richard Hammond has mocked his pal Jeremy Clarkson’s memory.
The 52-year-old presenter’s new comedy science panel show kicks off on Comedy Central this Wednesday (13.04.22) and sees team captains comedian Johnny Vegas and broadcaster Victoria Coren Mitchell compete for points by answering a series of brain teasers and challenges.
Hammond in his new role was previously mocked by his ‘The Grand Tour’ co-star for having “no capacity to remember anything” following two near-fatal car crashes, but now Richard has hit back at his 61-year-old friend insisting Jeremy’s “memory is also crap”.
Speaking in The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column, Hammond said: “Jeremy’s memory is also crap, and that is because he is ancient. I can’t run up a hill because I’ve crashed a car upside down off a mountain in flames.
“He can’t run up a hill because he’s fat.
“He’s one to talk about not being able to do stuff; I can’t remember stuff because I was brain injured, he can’t remember stuff because he’s old.”
Hammond – who co-hosted BBC Two’s ‘Top Gear’ from 2002 to 2015, alongside Clarkson and James May – in 2006 spent two weeks in a coma and sustained life changing brain injuries following a catastrophic car crash.
The near fatal accident, happened whilst filming an episode of ‘Top Gear’ at the RAF Elvington airfield near York.
He was driving at 317mph in a Vampire dragster – a jet-powered car that can reach up to 370mph – when the front tyre of the car unexpectedly failed. This caused the car to violently flip and roll.
Richard had to be rushed to hospital after being cut out with hydraulic shears.
Just over a decade later, whilst filming on Amazon’s ‘The Grand Tour’ in Switzerland, his was involved in another accident where his car flipped and burst into flames.

Joanna Page wants more Gavin and Stacey before she is too old

OHMYGOSSIP — Joanna Page has urged Ruth Jones and James Corden to write another ‘Gavin and Stacey’ special before she gets too old.
The 45-year-old actress plays the titular Stacey in the BBC sitcom and she is desperate for the writing duo to return to the comedy sooner rather than later as she still wants to look good on screen.
Appearing on ‘The Andy Jaye Podcast’, she said: “If they are going to do another special I hope they do it soon because seeing yourself up on a screen after having children and it’s 10 years later is a bit shocking, it’s like, ‘Oh my gosh!’
“I hope they don’t leave another 10 or 20 years, I still want to look good!”
Joanna – who has four children with her husband James Thornton – has not spoken to Ruth, 55, or James, 43, about the possibility of a new ‘Gavin and Stacey’ episode but she is certain that if the time comes then all the cast, which includes Rob Brydon, Mathew Horne and Larry Lamb, will be up for returning.
She said: “I never ask them if they’re going to do anymore and they keep us in the dark, they never tell us. I thought it was completely over last time, I only found out we were doing it again when Ruth phoned and said, ‘Do you want to do this special?’ I thought it was completely over. They’ve not given us any signs that they’re going to do another one so I wouldn’t be surprised if they left us all hanging and never did another one again and just left us all wondering what happens.
“But then I wouldn’t be surprised if I suddenly got a phone call from Ruth again going, ‘Right, we’re going to do another one.’
“I think we’d all love to. We’re all like family, so I think if they said we’re going to do more then we all definitely would be wanting to do it because it’s great working with them all.”
The 2019 Christmas special ended with Nessa proposing to on/off lover Smithy on Christmas Day in Barry, Wales, and Joanna, just like all the show’s fans, is desperate to know if Smithy says yes.
Joanna said: “I’m dying to know what happened. When I read the last special I was reading it on my phone in the car park and I was just scrolling up and I could see that she got down on one knee and proposed and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ And I kept trying to scroll to see what happened and it was the end. I couldn’t believe they left us like that.
“I’ve gone to being like the rest of the audience, because they just don’t tell us anything, ‘are they going to get married? Does he say yes? What’s gonna happen?’”

Ugo Monye says Question of Sport needs varied guests

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Question of Sport’ captain Ugo Monye has defended the decision to have celebrities compete on the show.
The retired England rugby union player became a captain on the BBC One panel show alongside Olympic gold-medal winning hockey player Sam Quek in 2001 as part of a raft of changes to the long-running programme which also saw Sue Barker replaced by comedian Paddy McGuinness as host.
‘Question of Sport’ traditionally had active and retired sports stars as guests but since the changes a number of celebrities have appeared including Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge Anton Du Beke.
Appearing on Jamie’s ‘Private Parts’ podcast, Ugo insisted that having non-sporting contestants is good for the programme because it keeps it varied and fresh.
He said: “Sports should appeal to more than just people who have played it at an elite level.
“We had Anton Du Beke on. He is probably the single best contestant we’ve ever had. His sporting knowledge was obscene.
“There was one question: Who was the first person to throw a 9-dart finish on live TV?. I don’t know. He knew.”
Paddy, 48, previously revealed he called 65-year-old former tennis star Sue – who hosted the show from 1997 to 2021 – to get her approval before taking the job.
He said: “It’s a big change — Sue’s been the host for the last 20 years or so.
“That was in the back of my mind so I rang her up and had a really good chat with her and she was so nice and supportive.
“For me personally, once I spoke to Sue, the rest will be what it will be.
“My priority was taking over from Sue and treating that with respect because of how loved she is.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’ star Rudy Reyes believes in aliens.
The former US recon marine – who has taken over as the new Chief Instructor on the Channel 4 military show from axed Ant Middleton – says he has “seen some things that cannot be explained” which has convinced him of the existence of extraterrestrials.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: “I do believe we are not alone. I have seen some things that cannot be explained and had experiences
“Just recently my missus saw a UFO fly across in Nevada and it eclipsed the sky. It was a crescent moving forward across the sky.
“Do I believe? I am sure of it. There are a lot of things we barely understand. We are just beautiful little collections of carbon and magic wrapped together with a soul.”
Rudy was a team leader for over 50 patrols behind enemy lines and has served in Afghanistan and multiple desert patrols where he has seen lots of strange and unexplainable things, including horses which “glow”.
He added: “There are a few secret areas out there. There is this place in California that is hidden away in the mountains where they have wild horses that run at night and sometimes they look like they are freaking glowing.
“We have done some pretty heavy duty training with some energy type weapons up there.
“And I have a ‘brother’ who did training in Area 51 and he could tell you some things that will really blow your mind. There is so much out there.”
The 50-year-old military man and former US Navy Seal Remi Adeleke have joined the programme as the new chief instructor and as a new DS (Directing Staff) alongside existing stars Foxy (Jason Fox) and Billy (Mark Billingham).

Eiza Gonzales rented an old ambulance for role

OHMYGOSSIP — Eiza Gonzalez rented an old ambulance to help her prepare for her role in ‘Ambulance’.
The 32-year-old star portrays Los Angeles paramedic Cam Thompson in Michael Bay’s new movie – which sees her character kidnapped by adoptive sibling robbers (Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) – and she explained that she got used to the setting by renting a disused emergency vehicle.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Eiza said: “I rented a broken, old ambulance… just to get adjusted and acquainted with my space.
“I wanted to take this role as seriously as I could, and the premise of the movie sets up Cam as being the best paramedic in town. So everything in that space, and the character’s physicality, had to feel like it was second nature.
“In my experience on jobs, the weirdest things can sometimes derail you on the day of performance, like not being accustomed to a space or not knowing how to work something.”
Eiza previously featured in the movie ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ but explained how a lot of her performance was cut out due to changes made to the plot.
She explained: “My role completely changed in that movie, for sure. A lot of the story got cut out and the story was completely changed, so it was a bummer because my character had a whole different storyline that went in different routes.
“And Jessica (Henwick) getting cut out of the movie really affected all of the other characters. But it wasn’t anything to do with Jessica’s character. It was just that the storyline changed because the movie is called ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ and it obviously has to service them. They’re the big stars.
“But listen, I’m just grateful that I got to do a really fun movie. So my experience was really good, but that’s just par for the course, sometimes.”

Robert Duvall knew that The Godfather was going to be a classic film

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert Duvall knew that ‘The Godfather’ was going to be “special” during filming.
The 91-year-old actor played Tom Hagen in the iconic crime film – which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year – and instantly recognised that director Francis Ford Coppola had made an excellent movie.
Robert told The Gate: “All I know is about a third of the way through ‘Godfather’, and before I knew it, we had something special. And I only felt that twice, but very special and turned out to be true, you know?”
The star – whose other acting credits include ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’, ‘Bullitt’ and ‘Apocalypse Now’ – also praised Coppola for handling the pressure he was under to make the movie.
Robert said: “And I gained a lot of respect for Coppola because he had to work. We thought maybe he was going to be fired because he was working under the pressure of the studio, who maybe saw the outcome of the film in a different way than he did.
“But he did it the way he wanted to. And he adhered to those concepts of his, and the film turned out to be what he wanted. He was the boss.”
Robert also recalled how Coppola came to his aid when he turned his hand to directing as they maintained a good relationship after ‘The Godfather’.
The actor said: “He was great. We kept the relationship somewhat for years to come. In a couple of films I directed he helped me with the editing; he was very open to that and very good.
“A good guy to work with; wanted to see what you could do… I call it from ‘ink to behaviour’. He wanted to see what you brought behaviour-wise to the table.”
Robert confessed that he has worked on “a lot of c***” during his movie career but ‘The Godfather’ was far from rubbish.
He said: “I’m very happy. And I’ve done a lot of things that weren’t so great, but I had to pay the rent. You know, I had to pay the rent. So a lot of c*** sometimes, but the opposite of c*** was ‘The Godfather’. Great, great, great working with Coppola; terrific.”

Doctor Whoo-hoo! Legend of the Sea Devils sees the Doctor and companion Yaz address their romantic feelings

OHMYGOSSIP — The upcoming ‘Doctor Who’ Easter special will deal with the Doctor and her companion Yaz’s romantic feelings for one another.
‘Legend of the Sea Devils’ – which is Jodie Whittaker’s penultimate episode in the title role – sees the Doctor, Yasmin ‘Yaz’ Khan (Mandip Gill) and Dan Lewis (John Bishop) work together to fight one of the Time Lord’s oldest enemies, the Sea Devils, who they discover living on a coastal village in China.
The possibility of a romantic relationship between the two characters – who have long been dubbed ‘Thasmin’ by fans – was directly addressed when in the episode ‘Eve of the Daleks’, Dan spotted that Yaz had a crush on the Doctor and urged his fellow TARDIS traveller to “just tell her”.
Showrunner Chris Chibnall has now spilled that the possibility of a romantic relationship between the two characters is a part of the plot of the upcoming adventure as they definitely “have something to talk about”.
He said: “Dan has cottoned onto the dynamic between the Doctor and Yaz and from a distance, observed what they haven’t been admitting to themselves. I think really, in ‘Eve of the Daleks’, both Yaz and the Doctor have hinted that they have feelings that they are suppressing and keeping quiet about.
“So there are some conversations that need to be had and you’ll see those conversations developing and taking place in ‘Legend of the Sea Devils’. The Doctor and Yaz have something to talk about!”
John, 55, is proud that it is his alter ego Dan who acts as the catalyst for the Doctor and Yaz to be honest with each other about how they truly feel about one another.
He said: “I think it was probably a surprise to both the Doctor and Yaz that it was so obvious to him that there was feelings between them. And I think as a character he is probably not the most obvious persons to be the matchmaker. Because he comes in as an ordinary bloke you would suspect is so bemused by the world that he’s in is too busy to absorb what’s going on around him to notice. But because the bond between them is so clear, and because I think as well as he says to Yaz in the New Year’s special – sometimes if you’ve got feelings for somebody you just have to act on them because otherwise if you don’t it will be too late.”
Remaining tight-lipped, Mandip, 34, added: “So the relationship between the Doctor and Yaz has definitely developed further. There’s not an awful lot I can say about it but there’s a lot of bravery, there’s a lot of emotion and a lot of understanding, and openness … Conversations are not concluded in this episode, but they still definitely have advanced from where they were at the New Year’s episode. There’s a lot of open and honest conversations.”
‘Legend of the Sea Devils’ – which is the first appearance of the ocean-dwelling reptilian aliens since they battled the Third Doctor (John Pertwee) in 1972 – airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Sunday (17.04.22) at 7.10pm.

OHMYGOSSIP — Denise Van Outen once headed to church to drink communion wine following massive all-nighter.
The ‘Celebrity Gogglebox star’ – who was raised a Roman Catholic – made an emergency stop at Sunday morning mass so she could drink some holy wine, which represents the “blood of Christ” when blessed.
The former wild child – who found fame hosting Channel 4’s ‘The Big Breakfast’ – revealed her unusual reason for joining the congregation in her new autobiography ‘A Bit Of Me’.
Denise, 47, spilled: “These were the years of wild partying for so many young people – me included.”
“I remember one Sunday morning, after being up all night, my friend Lucy and I realised that we’d run out of alcohol.
‘Where the hell would be open on a Sunday morning that we could get some wine?’ Lucy asked. I thought for a moment and then it hit me, ‘Church!’
“As a Roman Catholic, I knew there was a Communion wine for sipping, plus there was always a reception after the service in the little church in Kensington, where we would get a bevvy.
“God knows what I was thinking, but I’m ashamed to say it wasn’t a one-time thing either.

Jack Whitehall jokes he wants to appear on a celebrity version of Naked Attraction

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Whitehall is up for taking part on a celebrity version of ‘Naked Attraction’.
The 33-year-old comedian gets a lot of offers to appear in various TV shows, including ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, but he’d rather hold out for a spot on the Channel 4 dating show, which sees contestants to choose a date based on their attractiveness from the waist up.
Jack’s dad and regular TV co-star Michael was approached by the BBC to go on the ballroom competition but he did not want to commit to the busy rehearsing schedule.
Speaking on a night on Jack’s ‘How to Survive Family Holidays’ tour, Jack’s mum Hilary said of Michael: “He said he was going to turn up on the night and ‘wing it’. I was upset but I thought somebody else could do ‘Strictly’… Jack?”
But Jack – who is dating Roxy Horner – quipped: “I am holding out for a celebrity version of ‘Naked Attraction’!”
Plans for a celebrity version of ‘Naked Attraction’ had to be previously scrapped as not enough stars could be convinced to stand in their birthday suits on television.
The live tour, which is based on the book of the same name, sees the family trio share their holiday adventures which have been filled with many joyous occasions as well as some pitfalls in the last five years.
Jack said of ‘How to Survive Family Holidays’: “The truth about any holiday – if it’s with one’s own family – is that no amount of sunshine, wine or festive spirit will stop your worst character traits coming to the surface. You have just volunteered to spend a week in close proximity with the people who know you best and who will never ever let you forget it. No one survives unscathed. Things are always going to end in tears: you can only hope they’re of laughter. Interest in my family only seems to grow, despite my best endeavours to silence them.”
