‘I’ll kill them’ Maureen Lipman issues threat to I’m A Celeb bosses over Alan Halsall’s jungle jaunt

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’ star Dame Maureen Lipman has issued a threat to ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ bosses – insisting she will “kill them” if anything happens to her co-star Alan Halsall.
The 78-year-old actress – who plays Alan’s on-screen grandmother Evelyn Plummer in the ITV soap – has joked she will “personally” deal with the show’s producers if the Tyrone Dobbs actor comes to any harm Down Under, after he was previously forced to delay his jungle appearance by a year due to a knee injury.
Speaking about Alan’s upcoming stint on the ITV show, she said in a comical, yet slightly terrifying, way on ‘Lorraine’: “He was going to go last year but hurt his knee.
“If they harm one hair on that boy’s head, although he hasn’t got much, or give him turkey testicles, I will personally kill them.
“He will be fine though because he is a lovely human being.”
Maureen believes Alan may come across as “guarded” to his fellow campmates – who include McFly’s Danny Jones, N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos, and ‘Loose Women’ pair GK Barry and Jane Moore – at first, but insisted they will soon find out he is a “lovely person”.
She said: “His life is very sorted, and he is a better actor than you would ever know.
“He likes his golf, and he will be very guarded at first but if people get underneath, they will find out he is a lovely person.”
Ahead of his jungle debut, Alan admitted he wants viewers to get to know more about him, after playing cobbles resident Tyrone since 1998.
Asked about the biggest misconception he wants to dispel in the jungle, he said: “It will be nice for people to get to know a bit more about me rather than my character, Tyrone.”
Quizzed on what his role in camp might be, he said: “Joker. For such a small person, I have got a big personality and I can be quite jokey!
“I am hoping people will share my sense of humour.”

I’m A Celebrity winner Sam Thompson backs Queen of the Jungle to take his title

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Thompson thinks a Queen of the Jungle will take his ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ crown.
The 32-year-old reality TV star triumphed in last year’s 23rd season of the ITV show, but ahead of this year’s series, Sam has tipped one of the women in camp, who include TV personality Coleen Rooney, former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star Oti Mabuse and podcaster GK Barry, to be named Queen of the Jungle.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Who’s gonna win? You can’t ask me that!
“I have a top three who I think are going to win it, not who I want to win it.
“I will say this: I think this year there are a lot of strong women, really strong personalities which I think is going to be fascinating to watch.
“I think it will be a queen.”
N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos and ‘Loose Women’ star Jane Moore’ will also enter the jungle in Sunday night’s (17.11.24) series launch, and it’s thought former ‘Love Island’ star Maura Higgins will be a late entrant Down Under.
Sam is back in Australia to co-host ITV2’s new spin-off show ‘I’m A Celebrity…Unpacked’ alongside Joel Dommett and radio presenter Kemi Rodgers.
And the former ‘Made in Chelsea’ star believes the best way for someone to reach the latter stages of the show is to simply to “live the experience”.
He added: “Everyone has up days, everyone has down days. Happy or sad it is about being yourself.
“It’s such a boring answer, but there are people who will come in here who are like, ‘Ooh, if I do this, if I do that, maybe if I get a trial I can do this, and airtime.’
“It goes straight out the window. You get found out immediately if you have a game plan. You cannot be in a place like this and not be yourself. You just can’t.
“I would say to anyone who’s going to go far, it will be the person who just lives the experience.
“The best part about the jungle is the sounds, the routine of traipsing up and down there to get water, going out there and going into the Bush Telegraph, making friends.”

Former Big Brother star Orliath McAllister’s warning for latest housemates

OHMYGOSSIP — Orlaith McAllister has warned the current ‘Big Brother’ housemates need to grow a thick skin.
The Irish model took part in the reality show back in 2005 and made the shock decision to leave the house after six weeks due to conflict with her housemates, and she hopes the current crop of contestants are ready for what they will face in the outside world when they leave the famous abode.
Speaking on behalf of BoyleSports Games, Orlaith said, “You have to be thick-skinned going into these reality TV shows. I’ve had people come up to me in bars and say horrible things. You have to not give a reaction because that’s what they want. Everyone wants a response from you and if it’s negative, it’s something that they can really play on. Whereas if you just let it happen, let it be said, that’s on them.”
The mum-of-two, who now resides in Antrim in Northern Ireland, also insists you need a good support system to survive reality TV, after feeling let down by her own family during her experience.
“During ‘Big Brother’, I just needed reassurance from my family that they were ok with how I had been in the house. If you have a tight, close knit family and you’re not harming anyone then they’ll always be supportive.
“But I remember there was a day when the ‘Big Brother’ production staff went to our homes to interview our family members. I have four sisters and only one would be on camera. My mum refused to be interviewed too. My dad was interviewed and I wanted him to tell me he loved me and that everyone was supportive. I needed to hear that.
“But instead, he told me that my cousin had gotten married. I didn’t need to hear that, as I wasn’t invited to the wedding. Everyone else’s family was supporting them and I was just sitting there.
“He just had the fear of all these cameras and my mum is a frantic cleaner, so she was just constantly cleaning the house. I think she even made the guys in the production team take their shoes off to go upstairs to my bedroom to film.”

Tom Cruise rejected Interview with the Vampire sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Cruise refused to return for the ‘Interview with the Vampire’ sequel.
The 62-year-old actor starred in the 1994 horror picture – which is based on the 1976 Anne Rice novel of the same name – as the blood-sucking Lestat de Lioncourt, and director Neil Jordan has now revealed that a follow-up to the movie was shelved after Cruise ruled out reprising his role for another film.
Speaking with Variety, the 74-year-old filmmaker said: “I was asked to write a script of ‘The Vampire Lestat’, which I did. And quite simply, Tom didn’t want to reprise the role. It was as simple as that.
“And it would’ve been quite a different animal. If Mr. Cruise had said he would do it, I’m sure they would’ve done it. But at the time he wasn’t doing sequels.”
The ‘Mission: Impossible’ actor starred opposite Brad Pitt in the flick, who played the heartbroken widow Louis de Pointe du Lac who goes on to become a vampire after Cruise’s Lestat bites him.
While the ‘Top Gun’ star had previously joked about the homoerotic undertones between his and Pitt’s characters, Jordan insisted he wanted this theme to be prevalent in the film to stay faithful to Rice’s original novel.
The director explained: “I just wanted to be accurate to Anne’s book.
“Once Louis is turned into a vampire, he’s stuck with this companion who is half a lover, half a manipulator. And any of the sexual undertones that are there are expressed through blood, and through the desire for blood.
“So I would say there is exactly the amount of eroticism, homoeroticism or otherwise, that there was in Anne’s novel.
“And in fact, when I did my draft I had to reintroduce as much as I could of those elements.”
‘Interview with the Vampire’ went on to earn an impressive $223.6 million at the worldwide box office when it hit theatres in 1994, and the moviemaker said it was “really gratifying” to have worked on such a commercially successful project.

The Long Walk adaptation will be ‘dark’ but beautiful’, teases Judy Greer

OHMYGOSSIP — Judy Greer has teased ‘The Long Walk’ will be a “dark, but beautiful” adaptation of the original book.
The upcoming movie – which is based on Stephen King’s 1979 horror novel of the same name – will follow a brutal “competition” where 100 teenage boys are forced to walk until all but one have collapsed, and now the 49-year-old actress has teased the upcoming film will do justice to the book’s dystopian tale through the “stunning” performances of her co-stars.
In an interview with Collider, Greer said: “It’s a dark story about a competition show. But it’s beautiful, and the performances that I got to watch when I was on set were stunning.”
The ‘Halloween’ actress – who stars opposite Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson and Mark Hamill in the flick – quipped that her husband Dean E. Johnsen was shocked by the book’s story.
She said: “My husband just read the book, and every night in bed, he’d be just turning a page going like, ‘Oh my God, oh my God.’
“I’m like, ‘I know. I was telling you every day when I was shooting.’ He’s like, ‘Yeah, but it’s really dark!'”
‘The Long Walk’ also features a handful of young actors including, Garrett Wareing, Tut Nyuot and Charlie Plummer, who Greer dubbed “incredible”.
The ’13 Going On 30′ actress added that she felt it would be “so nice” for audiences to become completely engrossed in the film and its characters because there won’t be too many Hollywood A-Listers pulling attention away from the story being told through their star power.
She said: “Personally, it’s so nice sometimes to see movies cast with people I don’t already know because I can still lose myself in the story, you know?
“Not like I watched the movie, and I’m like, ‘Oh, I need to call her.’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know who they are, and they’re amazing.’ That’s kind of how I felt when I was on set. These young guys are just incredible.”

Denzel Washington confirms he will star in Black Panther 3 before retirement

OHMYGOSSIP — Denzel Washington has confirmed he will star in ‘Black Panther 3′ before his retirement.
The 69-year-old actor is the first to talk about the existence of a third film in the blockbuster Marvel franchise – which will follow the 2018 original and 2022 sequel ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ – and has also revealed the film will be among a handful of roles he will take on before he bows out of acting after a career spanning four decades.
Confirming director Ryan Coogler has written a role just for the Oscar-winner for the third instalment, Denzel told Australia’s ‘Today’ show: “At this point in my career, I’m only interested in working with the best, I don’t know how many more films I will make, probably not that many. I want to do things that I haven’t done.”
Sharing the roles he has lined up before he bids farewell to his Hollywood career, he said: “I played Othello at 22, I’m now going to play it at 70. After that, I’m playing Hannibal. After that, I’ve been talking with Steve McQueen about a film. After that, Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me in the next Black Panther.
“After that, I’m gonna do the film Othello. After that I’m gonna do King Lear. After that, I’m gonna retire.”
The late Chadwick Boseman – who played the titular character in ‘Black Panther’ before his death in 2020 – once declared: “There is no Black Panther without Denzel Washington.”
So, Coogler is fulfilling a wish of the movie’s star by casting the ‘Glory’ actor – who once paid for Chadwick’s acting classes – in the movie.
Presenting him with the AFI Life Achievement Award in 2019, the actor – who passed away at the age of 43 following a secret battle with cancer – continued: “My whole cast stands on your shoulders.
“The daily battles won, the thousand territories gained, the many sacrifices you made for the culture on film sets through your career, the things you refused to compromise along the way lay the blueprints for us to follow.”
In August, Denzel declared that there are “very few films left for me to make”.
He insisted that after Sir Ridley Scott’s ‘Gladiator II’, there’s not much else that has piqued his interest.
He told Empire magazine: “There are very few films left for me to make that I’m interested in, and I have to be inspired by the filmmaker, and I was tremendously inspired by Ridley.”
At the American Black Film Festival in June, he explained: “The things that are going on for me professionally behind the camera are as important to me now as in front of the camera. I think there’s less and less time I’ll be spending in front of the camera.”

Helen Worth wore a custom T-shirt covered in her Coronation Street husbands for her leaving do

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Worth wore a T-shirt covered in the names of her former ‘Coronation Street’ husbands for her leaving do.
The 73-year-old actress is leaving the soap after 50 years as Gail Platt, and she stepped into Nick’s Bistro on the cobbles set sporting a T-shirt featuring her character’s former flames Brian Tilsley, Martin Platt, Richard Hillman, Joe McIntyre and Michael Rodwell.
Her on-screen son Jack P. Shepherd (David Platt) told the ‘On The Sofa’ podcast: “I thought that was a nice touch, that was quite amusing.
“Then she gave a little speech and thanked everybody and said what a marvellous time she’d had and she’s going to miss everybody — there were lots of tears.
“She didn’t want a fanfare. So we kind of convinced her to do something because it was for everybody.”
The group then headed to a Manchester restaurant for a goodbye meal with the Platts family joining in the fun.
Ben Price – who plays her other on-screen son Nick Tilsley – revealed the group had to book a private room to avoid any “awkward” situations.
He explained: “You don’t want to make too much of it, but if you don’t have a private room, you’ve got a whole table of The Platts. It’s just awkward.
“It’s The Platts Christmas do and it just stops a place.
“It was a really personal moment for us all. I think she had a really good send-off. We’ll miss her.”
Helen filmed her final scenes last month ahead of her departure before the end of the year, but fans still don’t know exactly how she will be exiting the show.
She previously said: “I made the decision at the start of the year and spoke to the producers who were very kind and understanding.
“I have been truly blessed to have been given the most incredible scripts week in week out, and to have worked with fantastic actors, directors and a brilliant crew.
“The past 50 years have flown by and I don’t think the fact that I am leaving has quite sunk in yet.”

Tayce confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special

OHMYGOSSIP — Tayce is the first drag artist to be taking part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ contestant will be stepping out for the show’s annual Christmas special, for which she will be partnered with Kai Widdrington, and is looking forward to embracing all the “glitz, glam, and discoballs” the programme has to offer.
Tayce said in a statement: “I cannot wait to sleigh on the Strictly Ballroom floor. My partner and I are going to dance for our lives! In all seriousness, it’s an incredible honour to be the first Drag artist to be taking part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
“I hope I do all of my Drag Race and Welsh fans proud! Sign me up for all the glitz, glam and discoballs.”
News of Tayce’s casting comes shortly after 41-year-old comedian Josh Widdecombe confirmed he will be one of the six stars taking part in the festive special and will be partnered with Karen Hauer.
He said: “I am utterly terrified this will end in humiliation and worried I’m going to be so bad I will ruin Christmas for the nation. Why have I done this?”
The pre-recorded episode – which airs on December 25 – will see each of the six couples perform a festive-themed routine in the hope of impressing the judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas, as well as the voting studio audience.
The remaining Christmas line-up will be announced on ‘Strictly: It Takes Two’ in due course.
Last year, celebrities such as television presenter Dan Snow, Sugababes singer Keisha Buchanan and BBC Breakfast host Sally Nugent all competed for the festive version of the Glitterball Trophy, but in the end, it was ‘EastEnders’ actor Jamie Borthwick and his professional partner Nancy Xu who reigned supreme.
The soap star is currently competing in the regular edition of this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, where he is dancing alongside professional Michelle Tsiakkas.
‘Strictly Come Dancing Christmas’ special will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Christmas Day..

Lupita Nyong’o ‘joins star studded cast of Christopher Nolan blockbuster’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lupita Nyong’o has reportedly joined the cast of the next Christoper Nolan blockbuster.
The ‘Wild Robot’ and ’12 Years A Slave’ actress is the latest big name to be attached to the mysterious movie from the ‘Oppenheimer’ director.
As reported by Deadline, Nyong’o will join Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya and Anne Hathaway in the star studded line-up.
The untitled film, which has been shrouded in secrecy with details being kept closely under wraps, is set to be released in July 2026.
Plot details and the genre are yet to be confirmed for the movie, with is being written and helmed by Nolan for Universal Pictures.
Filming is expected to get underway early next year.
Tom recently discussed how he signed up for the movie without knowing what it’s actually about.
The 28-year-old actor told ‘Good Morning America’: “All I can say is that I’m incredibly excited. And obviously honoured, but that’s all I can say because, to be honest, that’s all I know.”
Tom likened receiving the call to being cast as Spider-Man.
He explained: “When the opportunity came in, it was the phone call of a lifetime.
“It was reminiscent of getting the call about ‘Spider-Man’ 10 years ago. It’s an amazing thing for me. I’m super proud and I’m really, really excited.”
Nolan previously explained how he has constantly had to adapt as a director, and he’s not actually made any of the ideas he had growing up.
In an interview with Empire magazine, he said: “As a young man, I had a list of, however many I’d worked out, 12 or 13 films… I had a lot of ideas and a lot of very specific things that I was going to do. And I look back and I haven’t done any of them; they all changed.
“When you plan ahead too far in the movie business, you’re not taking into account the shifting sands of culture under your feet… (Cinema) evolves. And part of your job as a filmmaker is to be open to being part of that evolution.”

Lucy Liu would ‘never say never’ to Charlie’s Angels return

OHMYGOSSIP — Lucy Liu would “never say no” to another ‘Charlie’s Angels’ movie.
The 55-year-old actress portrayed Alex Munday in the 2000 film adaptation of the hit 1970s TV series and again in 2003’s ‘Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle’ and while she doesn’t think it likely that she, Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore will be asked to return to their characters for a third time, it is something she’d be open to.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I don’t hear much of anything until it actually happens.
“I’m never going to say no to that. But I would be surprised to hear anything that gets done or undone. You just never know until it happens.”
While Lucy enjoyed playing a “strong” female character in the series, she insisted there was never supposed to be anything “serious” about the movies.
She reflected: “Being in a movie where there are three women together that were strong and also having fun and just sort of taking the p***. That’s just sort of what it was. It wasn’t supposed to be anything that serious.”
Last year, Lucy appeared on Drew’s eponymous talk show, and the 49-year-old host admitted her friend had been much more “dedicated” to the training they had to do for the action films than she and Cameron had been.
She said: “You were so dedicated and me and Cameron were both so naughty sometimes.”
Lucy retorted in response: “She was so good. You weren’t! You were naughty.”
But the ‘Shazam: Fury of the Gods’ star admitted the training regime they had had to undertake had been gruelling and took a toll on their bodies.
She said: “I remember pain, and we were pretty bada**. I remember eight hours a day training, five days a week.”

Paddy McGuinness ‘honoured’ to read relatable CBeebies Bedtime Story

OHMYGOSSIP — Paddy McGuinness is “honoured” to be reading a ‘CBeebies Bedtime Story’.
The former ‘Take Me Out’ presenter is currently on a 300-mile bike ride this week for ‘Children In Need’, and to celebrate the end of the run on Friday (15.11.24) he’ll be sitting down in the famous armchair.
The BBC has confirmed the 51-year-old star will be reading ‘The Stompysaurus’, which is all about how to deal with frustration and other big emotions.
The episode was filmed before he set off on his bike ride, and Paddy revealed how the story plays into his own life.
He said: “What an honour to read a ‘CBeebies Bedtime Story’, it’s magical to share a story together.
“I hope little ones enjoy snuggling up with their grown-ups and watching it together.
“The book I’m reading, The Stompysaurus, is all about trying to slow down and relax when you’re feeling overwhelmed. Though for me, it’s going to be more about channelling my energy as I take on my huge cycling challenge.”
The former ‘Phoenix Nights’ star started his ultra-endurance ride from Wrexham to Glasgow earlier this week, having gone through a brutal training regime with former Olympian Sir Chris Hoy to prepare.
Paddy told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I did a bike ride with Chris about three or four years ago now. I’ve still got the mental scars from it. It was so tough and difficult.
“He message me and said, ‘Don’t think I’m going to go easy on you.’
“I know it’s going to be brutal. I know it’s going to be hell. He’s really put me through my paces.”
Paddy hopes to raise as much money as possible for Children in Need with his gruelling challenge, which he will complete before appearing on the TV appeal on Friday (15.11.24).
The former ‘Top Gear’ host said: “The main thing for me is getting people to donate whatever they can to help Children in Need.
“I’m planning on just eating a load of pies afterwards. Honestly, I can’t wait until we’re at that finish line in Glasgow.
“I’ll probably inhale a pint of Guinness when I finish. And then we’re in the back of the car and straight down to Salford for Children in Need on Friday night.”

BBC will film new series of Race Across The World late next year

OHMYGOSSIP — BBC bosses will film the sixth series of ‘Race Across The World’ in late 2025.
The hit travel adventure show – which returned this year for its fourth series with Alfie Watts and Owen Wood emerging victorious, and second celebrity edition won by Scott Mills and his husband Sam Vaughan – will be back for a fifth season next year, and plans are already underway for the following series.
Producers are looking for new contestants with applications now open, and with filming set to take place over eight weeks between September and November 2025.
In a dedicated website set up by the BBC, the team wrote: “This experience is open to all, whether you’re a seasoned traveller or total novice.
“We want to hear what undertaking a trip like this would mean to you, and with a cash prize at stake, to what lengths you would go to win.”
“Maybe you’re looking to change something in your life? Or are keen to share the journey with someone special like a family member, best friend, or someone you’ve lost touch with.
“You may even have a very personal reason for wanting to travel at this time in your life or want to explore a particular part of the world.”
The programme first launched in 2019, with pairs competing to be the first to reach a destination by any means except flying.
Producers have told potential contestants that “the physical journey” is only one element of the show’s appeal.
They added: “Navigating their way across thousands of miles, they will travel through spectacular scenery and dynamic cities, visit ancient wonders, learn local customs, and take part in time-honoured tradition.
“But the physical journey is only half of the story, as they take on the challenge of travelling across the world, perhaps the greatest thing they’ll discover is about themselves and one another.”

Taron Egerton cast alongside Charlize Theron in Apex

OHMYGOSSIP — Taron Egerton is to star alongside Charlize Theron in ‘Apex’.
The 35-year-old actor has joined the cast of the Netflix thriller that is being directed by Baltasar Kormakur.
Details about the movie are scarce but the script tells the story of a rock climber and adrenaline junkie (Theron) who discovers that nature isn’t the only dangerous element out to get her when she goes on an expedition in the wild.
Egerton will play the role of a psychopath hunting down his human prey.
Jeremy Robbins has written the script which was picked up by Netflix before Theron and Kormakur boarded the project.
Charlize also serves as a producer on the film along with Dawn Olmstead, Beth Kono and AJ Dix for their newly-created Secret Menu banner.
Taron previously took on the part of music legend Sir Elton John in the biopic ‘Rocketman’ and explained how getting to work at close quarters with director Dexter Fletcher inspired him to evolve in his career by taking on responsibility behind the camera.
In an interview with Screen Rant, the ‘Kingsman’ actor explained: “When (I did) ‘Rocketman’, because of the musical elements of it, I had been involved with lots of elements of the storytelling that weren’t just about the acting.
“I had a close relationship with the director – it wasn’t our first project – so I’d been popping into the edit to see how things were going. And I’d enjoyed those conversations; I’d enjoyed being in the studio and learning about how the music was going to fit into the film and all the rest of it.”
Egerton added: “By the time this came around, I knew that I was interested in filmmaking conversations as well as acting ones. So, I just asked them if I could be a producer, and if they would welcome my input in that way. And they, very surprisingly and kindly, said yes. That’s how it happened to me.”

Benedict Cumberbatch and Rosamund Pike to star in Guy Ritchie’s movie Wife and Dog

OHMYGOSSIP — Benedict Cumberbatch, Rosamund Pike and Sir Anthony Hopkins have been cast in Guy Ritchie’s latest film ‘Wife and Dog’.
The trio have all boarded the latest feature from the ‘Snatch’ filmmaker which is described as a “return to the colourful, back-stabbing world of the British aristocracy Richie explored in ‘The Gentlemen’ film and TV series”.
Ritchie has penned the screenplay and is also producing alongside longtime collaborator Ivan Atkinson and Black Bear’s John Friedberg.
Filming is due to begin in the UK in February 2025 after sales for the project were launched by Black Bear in Cannes earlier this year.
Benedict has previously played the role of Dr. Stephen Strange in a number of superhero movies and explained how he always knew that the 2021 flick ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ was going to be a huge success at the box office.
Speaking on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’, the 48-year-old actor said: “Well, I think it’s a testament to Jon Watts and the three… Jacob (Batalon), Z (Zendaya), and Tom.
“They’ve got this beautiful John Hughes homage mixed in with the ultimate universal love there is for that kid. That hero, for Spider-Man and Peter Parker. And it was such a good script. Such a good concept. And then there was that ‘little secret’. It was so much fun.”
Benedict enjoyed the mixture of humour and drama in the film that saw the return of previous Spideys Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield alongside Tom Holland.
The ‘Sherlock’ star said: “And what I think they did so blindingly well was just to mix humour with pathos. To mix surprise with elation and expectation and confound expectation. They managed to pull off a huge feat.
“Which apart from anything else, because throwing in Tobey and Andrew meant that you were celebrating like 20 years worth of filmmaking on top of all that.”

“But they are at an age now where I can go away for this length of time. I also feel it’s time to have a challenge for me and do something different.
“It has taken many, many years but I’m finally doing it. And I have always said if I was going to do one – then it would be this show. I think it will be good for me.”
Coleen will be joined in the jungle by Tulisa Contostavlos, who is also looking forward to the adventure.
The 36-year-old singer explained: “I have always said I wouldn’t do this show in the past, as there are things that have terrified me. But the person I am now, I want to throw caution to the wind.”

Gary Lineker ‘to step down as Match of the Day host’

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Lineker plans to leave ‘Match of the Day’ at the end of the season.
The 63-year-old former England international has hosted the iconic BBC show since 1999, but he intends to step down in 2025.
A BBC source told The Sun newspaper: “Gary absolutely adores ‘Match of the Day’, and has been incredibly happy at the BBC.
“But he has been at the helm since 1999, and by the time he leaves, he will have been at the Beeb for 30 years.”
Although Lineker intends to quit as the host of ‘Match of the Day’, he plans to remain with the BBC until the next World Cup, which is being hosted in Canada, the USA and Mexico in 2026.
The insider explained: “He wants to leave on a high – and if England win the World Cup, it doesn’t get much higher.”
Lineker opened negotiations with the BBC over a new contract in October, and is currently its highest-paid star, earning more than £1.3 million per year.
However, all parties are said to be “pleased” with their new agreement, which gives Lineker more time to focus on his other business interests.
The source added: “Negotiations have been ongoing for the past six weeks and finally a deal has been struck that everyone is pleased with.
“Gary is incredibly popular with both players and viewers, and news of his departure will send shockwaves around the Corporation. In other words, no-one is immune from change.
“Gary will be 65 when he leaves; frankly, he isn’t getting younger and just feels the time is right to focus solely on his mogul interests outside the BBC – namely his Goalhanger podcasting business which is becoming huge Stateside.
“BBC execs, meanwhile, will be giving ‘Match of the Day’ a reboot to keep it fresh in the wake of such a huge departure.”
