Gal Gadot to star in The Runner

OHMYGOSSIP — Gal Gadot will star in ‘The Runner’.
The ‘Wonder Woman’ star will take the lead role in the action thriller, which will be set in London and will see her play a high-powered lawyer who must race through the city in response to some cryptic demands from a mysterious caller in order to save her abducted son.
‘The Last King of Scotland’ filmmaker Kevin Macdonald is to direct, while ‘Snow Dogs’ scribe Mark Gibson has written the script.
According to Deadline, Amazon MGM Studios have acquired worldwide rights to the film, which was developed and will be produced by Rockwood Pictures’ David Kosse.
Gal can soon be seen playing the Evil Queen in the live action version of ‘Snow White’ – which stars Rachel Zegler in the title role – and she recently admitted she spent a month preparing for her audition.
She said in a video interview with GQ: “It was the first time I had to kind of audition for a project in a while.
“They needed to make sure I can sing because this is a musical. So, for a month, I was working on the song, and then I auditioned, and we filmed the song, and I got the part, and it was very exciting.”
The ‘Heart Of Stone’ actress relished making the movie because it was “so different” to anything she’s ever worked on.
She said: “It was so much to shoot because it’s so different from anything I’ve ever done. It’s so delicious and delightful, and I could really go big and theatrical.”
The actress previously explained she wanted to make her character’s evilness “interesting” and for the film to explore why the Evil Queen is the way she is.
She told People magazine: “I wanted to make sure that we keep her delightful and delicious, and we understand what makes her tick. Then the evilness is interesting, and not just flat.
“For me, it was making sure the Queen is not just evil for the sake of being evil. There is a complexity. Between the two characters, it’s like a mother-daughter relationship in a weird way. It’s what happens to a woman when she feels like she’s not relevant anymore, what can come out of her.”

Timothee Chalamet told to gain weight

OHMYGOSSIP — Timothée Chalamet was told to gain weight to land major movie roles.
The ‘Wonka’ actor will play folk legend Bob Dylan in biopic ‘A Complete Unknown’ and he explained he was able to relate to the legendary musician because he felt like an “outsider” within his own career until he was able to carve out his own path.
Speaking on ‘The Zane Lowe Show’ on Apple Music 1, he said: “I’ve had a life experience, I want to say it’s weird, but I can relate to some of these things he went through.
“So Bob wanted to be a rock and roll star, Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Elvis Presley, that was, depending on your point of view, the sort of rice crispy pop rock and roll music that was saturated and marketed to kids in the late ‘50s. Equally, I wanted to be a big movie actor.
“But if I auditioned for the ‘Maze Runner’ or ‘Divergent’, things of that variety that were popping when I was coming up, the feedback was always, ‘Oh, you don’t have the right body.’
“I had an agent that called me and said, ‘You got to put on weight’, basically, not aggressively, but you know. And then, I found my way into these very personalised movies or something, for him, it was folk music. He couldn’t keep a rock and roll band because they would all get hired by other kids that had more money, literally, in Minnesota.”
The 28-year-old star found taking on “personable movies” helped him find his “flow” with his work.
He added: “So for me, it was finding a very personal style movie, ‘Call Me by Your Name’ or Beautiful Boy’ or ‘Lady Bird’ or ‘Little Women’, ‘Miss Stevens’, ‘Hot Summer Nights’. Those were smaller budget, but very… I don’t know how else to put it. … personable movies that started in this theatre space. This is where I found my rhythm, my confidence, my flow, whatever you want to call it.”

Jane Moore reveals why she decided to go for I’m A Celebrity after previously turning it down

OHMYGOSSIP — Jane Moore “doesn’t see” herself as a celebrity.
The 62-year-old journalist – who is best known as a panellist on the ITV1 chat show ‘Loose Women’ – is heading to the Australian jungle to take part in ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ and has been asked before to take part but always turned it down until now.
Writing in her column for The Sun newspaper, she said: “S***, I’m entering the ‘I’m A Celebrity’ jungle.
As you read this, I will already be squirrelled away in an Australian hotel room, stripped of all communication devices and bracing myself to face any number of horrors for the purposes of your entertainment.
Why? It’s a question I asked myself when I was first approached to take part in the 2010s, and the answer was a firm ‘thanks, but no thanks’.
“I was married, my kids were younger, my life was far busier and, to be honest, I don’t see myself as a ‘celebrity’ (altogether now Twitter trolls, ‘neither do we’.)
“I’m a journalist and, consequently, despite being a regular on ‘Loose Women’ and various political shows or documentaries, have always preferred to stay below the ‘TV personality’ parapet.”
Jane – who has Ellie from a previous relationship and Grace with her ex-husband Gary Farrow – explained that her marriage came to an end shortly after she celebrated her latest milestone birthday and she suddenly found herself craving “adventure” now that her children had flown the nest.
She said: “Well, not long after my 60th birthday in 2022, I got divorced and found myself living alone in what had once been the family home full of perpetual noise, school runs, kids coming and going with their mates, and a dog that needed walking.
“But then the kids moved out, my marriage ended (amicably — we’re still friends), and our Tibetan terrier Jasper had to be put down at the ripe old age of 16 after he lost all interest in food, drink and walks.
“It meant that for the first time in decades, I was rattling around an empty house with lots of ‘me time’ and the opportunity to really contemplate what I want from the final third of my life. And the answer is, ‘adventure’.”
Jane will be in the jungle alongside the likes of WAG Coleen Rooney, ‘Dancing on Ice’ judge Oti Mabuse, and her fellow ‘Loose Women’ panellist GK Barry when the programme returns on Sunday November 17.

Ben Shephard hosting gruelling new ITV show The Summit

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Shephard is hosting new reality show ‘The Summit’.
The 49-year-old presenter is taking a break from his ‘This Morning’ duties to film a new big budget competition series for ITV in New Zealand, which is due to air in 2025.
The show will see people challenged to scale one of the world’s tallest mountains, with the change to either form alliances or betray their contestants with eliminations taking place as they climb to the top.
There will also be the enigmatic Mountain Keeper, a mysterious figure who sets “extraordinary” challenges to keep the participants on their toes.
The winner could take home up to £200,000, and Ben warned contestants that they will need “a serious amount of grit” to succeed.
Ben said: “This series really has got it all. They are going to be tested in every possible way as they take on the mountain.
“They’ll need a serious amount of grit, determination and strategy if they want to reach The Summit.”
Ben won’t just be a bystander, after agreeing to climb the mountain himself to check in on the contestants.
He added: “I’ll be donning my mountain gear to check in with them as they battle up the mountain.”
There had been some speculation Ben was stepping away from ‘This Morning’ to appear on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, but he dismissed that on Monday’s (11.11.24) episode of ‘This Morning.
He told co-host Cat Deeley via video link: “I’m actually not in the jungle, Cat.”
He confirmed his show will feature 14 strangers from different backgrounds, ranging from a carer and a pole dancer to athletes.
ITV bosses have seen the show already become a big hit in Australia, and they’re looking forward to seeing how UK viewers embrace the programme.
Executive Paul Mortimer said: “It’s going to be an absolute nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat watch for viewers.”

David Jason ‘desperately’ trying to land more roles as older actor

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir David Jason is “trying desperately” to land more roles in his 80s.
The 84-year-old veteran – who is best known for playing Del Boy Trotter in iconic sitcom ‘Only Fools And Horses’ – has bemoaned the lack of opportunities given to older actors, despite still having a lot “to offer”.
He told the Radio Times magazine: “I’m trying desperately to convince producers and directors that I’ve got many characters still left to play.
“Senior actors have got a tremendous amount to offer.”
He added: “I’m open to offers!”
Sir David will celebrated his 85th birthday in February, and while he’s still keen to work, he isn’t quite so excited for the milestone.
He laughed: “Don’t remind me about it! I’m never a great one for celebrations like that.
“I always find it a bit tiring, a bit embarrassing, a bit, ‘Just get on with it…’ And the older you get, the worse that becomes!”
Sir David has recently described Del Boy as a “ghost” that “haunts” him, because he rarely gets to talk about other roles he’s taken on over the years.
He has also starred in the likes of ‘The Darling Buds of May’, ‘A Touch of Frost’, ‘Porridge’, and ‘Open All Hours’, among many other shows.
He told ‘BBC Breakfast’: “That Derek Trotter thing, he’s a bit of a ghost that comes along behind me like A Christmas Carol.
“Haunted is perhaps too … no. He’s with me all the time, whether you call it haunted or not.
“I do say he’s on my back all the time, because wherever I go people recognise me as the character and you always get people who say, ‘Lovely jubbly!’ and all of that.
“Which only hangs me back, only upsets me slightly is because that seems to be the only thing that people remember me for.
“I’m delighted in one way that it’s reached so many people and they’ve enjoyed what I’ve done with the character, but I’ve done so many other things that everybody seems to have forgotten about. It’s like I’ve only ever played Derek Trotter.”

Tulisa Contostavlos is looking to quit the limelight after I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Tulisa Contostavlos is planning to quit the limelight after ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’
The former ‘X Factor’ judge – who shot to fame as a member of the hip-hop trio N-Dubz – is heading down under to appear in the hit ITV show two years before she aims to quit the music industry for a new venture in building “themed” rentals.
Tulisa told the ‘Happy Place’ podcast host Fearne Cotton: “The music industry is wild, it is ridiculous. I’m through most of it. I’ll be out in two years.
“I’m going into property. I am actually going to build some themed rentals. So I’m like, a super fantasy geek, all things like ‘Lord of the Rings’, ‘Harry Potter’, ‘Game of Thrones’.
“And I’ve always wanted to get into the property game. But I was also like, there’s some parts of it that can be a little bit mundane.
“So instead of just like building houses, let’s build themed places that I can rent out.
“So yeah, at the minute I’m looking for land, I want it to all be very kind of like a nature reserve, you know, cabins in a forest, Hobbit houses. So, yeah, that’s my, my plan for 2024. I’m absolutely buzzing.”
Despite her wanting to turn the spotlight off her, the 36-year-old singer will never forget her showbiz beginnings with her cousin Dappy, 37, and their pal Frazer, 37, and has hinted to possibly “come back for N-Dubz”.
She added: “I’m going to property. I think I’ll always come back for N-Dubz.
“The person I’ve become, I’m a public figure that doesn’t really like being in the public eye.”
Her appearance on the show – where she will join ‘Loose Women’ panelist Jane Moore, 62, and Wayne Rooney’s wife Coleen Rooney, 38 – comes as she reportedly feels “the time is right” to return to primetime TV, 10 years after she ended her stint as a judge on ‘The X Factor’.
However, she previously insisted she wouldn’t take part in such a reality show to protect her music credibility.
In 2019, she said: “I steer clear of them because it’s hard to keep being a credible musician when you start delving into that.
“Although there are loads that make me go ‘that would be so much fun’, and ‘MasterChef’ is definitely one! Because I’m such a huge cook in my spare time.”

Coleen Rooney reveals reason for staying with Wayne after his infidelity

OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Rooney stayed with husband Wayne Rooney after he cheated on her because “there was always love there”.
The 38-year-old star has been with the former England striker and captain, 39, since they were 16 but despite his infidelity, she has always felt smitten with him.
Coleen – who has jetted out to Brisbane, Australia ahead of her stint on ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ – told Fearne Cotton’s ‘Happy Place’ podcast: “With me and Wayne, you know, I’ve always said there was always love still there. So why throw it away when you can work at it?
“We might not have got through it, but we have and that’s the way I look at it.
“And, hopefully, it will be like that for the rest – just a nice, smooth-sailing marriage.”
She added: “We’ve gone through the hard times together, we’ve gone through the good times together, and we know each other well.”
Wayne, who has four children with Coleen – Kai, 13, Klay, 10, Kit, seven, and Cass, five – recently supported his wife when she was unsuccessfully sued by Jamie Vardy’s wife Rebekah, 42, in the ‘Wagatha Christie’ libel showdown.
It comes after she named her Instagram account as the source of leaked stories to the press from her private account and Rebekah was ordered to pay 90 per cent of Coleen’s legal costs – but the bill is being contested over claims it has been inflated by items including fancy dinners and stays in swanky hotels.
It is expected she may talk about her case, which was dubbed Wagatha Christie for her social media sleuthing, a reference to the legendary mystery author Agatha Christie, in the jungle.
Speaking on Disney+’s ‘The Real Wagatha Christie’, she said: “He [Wayne] just looked at me and said: ‘Coleen, you’re just not you any more, you just look sick.’
Coleen later added: “It caused anxiety and there were lots of tears. I have reactive arthritis. I’ve had it previously, but this situation brought it on a lot more.
“It stripped me of my character, and I didn’t want to socialise with people. I was completely in my own world. It was not a nice place to be.”

BBC says Gary Lineker will be ‘hugely missed’ after Match of the Day exit

OHMYGOSSIP — The BBC says Gary Lineker will be “hugely missed” on ‘Match of the Day’.
The 63-year-old retired footballer has presented the Beeb’s iconic football highlights show since 1999, but it’s been confirmed he will step down at the end of the current season in May 2025.
Alex Kay-Jelski, Director of BBC Sport, said in a statement: “After 25 seasons Gary is stepping down from MOTD.
“We want to thank him for everything he has done for the show, which continues to attract millions of viewers each week.
“He’ll be hugely missed on the show but we’re so happy he is staying with the BBC to present live football.”
Gary will continue fronting the ‘MOTD Top Ten’ podcast while his ‘The Rest is Football’ podcast will air on BBC Sounds.
He has also “agreed in principle” to a contract extension through to the 2026 World Cup, and he will be fronting the BBC’s coverage of the tournament, as well as the broadcaster’s FA Cup coverage for the 2025/26 season.
He said: “I’m delighted to continue my long association with BBC Sport and would like to thank all those who made this happen.”
Alex added: “Gary is a world-class presenter, and we’re delighted that he’ll lead our coverage of the next World Cup and continue to lead our live coverage of the FA Cup.”
Lineker opened negotiations with the BBC over a new contract in October, and is currently its highest-paid star, earning more than £1.3 million per year.
All parties are said to be “pleased” with their new agreement, which gives Lineker more time to focus on his other business interests.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Negotiations have been ongoing for the past six weeks and finally a deal has been struck that everyone is pleased with.”

Bill Skarsgard was ‘terrified just looking at the image’ of Nosferatu’s Count Orlok

OHMYGOSSIP — Bill Skarsgard was “terrified just looking at the image” of Count Orlok in ‘Nosferatu’.
The 34-year-old actor plays the dreaded Transylvanian vampire in the upcoming horror flick – which is a reimagining of the 1922 silent picture ‘Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror’ – and Skarsgard has now admitted the character’s appearance was far more frightening than that of his Pennywise the Dancing Clown costume from his two ‘It’ movies.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, he said: “I was terrified just looking at the image. It looked so, so different from me, way more so than Pennywise.
“I was worried that I couldn’t perform through it, that it would feel like giant prosthetic pieces, and I couldn’t come alive through that.”
As for the sound of Orlok, Skarsgard revealed that director Robert Eggers wanted the evil character to have a “very deep, resonant voice” but also “frail” to add to his unnerving portrayal.
He explained: “The character is somewhat paradoxical because he’s very powerful and demanding, but there’s something frail about him, as well, because he’s a corpse.
“So the voice needs to be very powerful, but at the same time, there needs to be some sort of fragility or almost pain and labour in his breathing and talking.”
Skarsgard chose to hide away from his co-stars – which includes Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe, Emma Corrin, Lily-Rose Depp and Aaron Taylor-Johnson – when he was dressed as Orlok to enhance the impact of seeing him when he had fully transformed into the character, and the actor wants audiences to experience that same level of horror when they see the vampire for the first time on screen in January.
He said: “I think the best way to discover Orlok is through the movie for the first time.
“The movie functions on that, as well. He lives in the shadows for a long time, and it teases the reveal of the character as the movie progresses.”

Dwayne Johnson admits to urinating in bottles on Red One set to save time

OHMYGOSSIP — Dwayne Johnson has admitted he sometimes had to urinate in bottles on the set of ‘Red One’ when in need of a comfort break.
The 52-year-old actor – – who competes in WWE under his ring name The Rock – was reported to have passed water on the set of the Christmas movie, and now Johnson has confirmed he did indeed rely on the unusual bathroom habit so not slow down production on the action film.
In a video profile the star filmed for GQ, Johnson himself brought up the ‘Red One’ rumour, said: “I pee in a bottle, yeah, that happens.”
The story of Johnson’s antics while working on ‘Red One’ originated from The Wrap in April, when the outlet claimed the actor was frequently late to set on occasions up to eight hours and missed several days’ worth of shooting – which reportedly added $50 million to the $250 million budget of the flick.
While the ‘Rampage’ star admitted he was sometimes late to set, he insisted it was never as much as eight hours and dubbed the controversy “bulls***”.
He said of his lateness: “Yeah, that happens. But not that amount, by the way. That was a bananas amount. That’s crazy. Ridiculous.”
Dwayne’s ‘Red One’ co-star Chris Evans said that the actor could be late “due to his morning workouts”, but stressed that the production team were always in the know as to any potential delay to his arrival to set.
The ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ star explained: “This is something that the producers, the director, and it’s all his team, so they all know this.
“It’s not like he’s late unexpectedly, and I wouldn’t even call it late. He comes in slightly later on certain mornings, but it’s part of the plan.
“It’s worked into the schedules and everyone knows it, so he shows up when he’s scheduled to show up.
“In terms of the guy that I saw, compared to some of the things I’ve seen on other movies with other actors who are not only not conscious of other people’s time and efforts, but they’re unpredictable … I found Dwayne to be – we all know exactly what he’s going to do when he’s going to do it.”
The film’s director Jake Kasdan also conceded Johnson could be “late sometimes”, but stressed the actor “never missed a day of work ever”.

Frank Skinner is ‘questioning things a bit more’ in his comedy

OHMYGOSSIP — Frank Skinner has started to “question things a bit more” after becoming a parent.
The 67-year-old comedian – who has hosted the likes of ‘Room 101’ over the years – admitted the “whole woke process” has made him rethink certain jokes he made earlier in his career, which he would never make now.
He told The Times newspaper: “The whole woke process has been quite educational for me and it might be to do with parenthood sort of coinciding with it for me. It’s just made me question things a bit more.”
He admitted there are some sketches – including a homophobic Bob Dylan skit and one in which he imitated a disabled person – were problematic.
He added: “Would I do either of them now? I don’t know if I would.”
His friend and co-star David Baddiel previously apologised for blacking up to impersonate footballer Jason Lee in ‘Fantasy Football League’.
Frank said: “The alternative comedy circuit that me and Dave were part of, that was our two big things — non-racist, non-sexist… we should have known better. Also, the bullying element of it … that was very disturbing.”
He doesn’t see his style of comedy as “misogynistic”, despite exploring racier subjects as part of his material.
He explained: “I can’t think of a line which I would class as… I talked about sex a lot…
“It was usually my insecurity and failure and embarrassment… I may go back and look at it now … I don’t know about misogynistic. I hope not.”
And while he admitted some jokes are “still a dodgy point”, he insisted people need the opportunity to “develop” and prove they have changed.
He said: “I don’t think there’s any point in woke politics if you aren’t allowed to develop and change your mind and learn and become different.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Malin Andersson is “in shock” after her car “blew up and caught fire”.
The former ‘Love Island’ star was driving on the motorway with her two-year-old daughter Xaya when she noticed her car “smoking out of nowhere”, so they pulled over and ran to safety.
She wrote on her Instagram Story: “This morning I was driving with Xaya and my car started smoking out of nowhere.
“I took me and Xaya out and ran with her down the side of the dual carriageway in time and it blew up and caught fire minutes later.
“In shock staying off here and @erintidey will answer emails or anything needed work wise.
“Me and Xaya are safe and sound.”
Malin hasn’t posted again since telling her fans about the incident on Monday (11.11.24).
She has been open about her life as a single mother, after welcoming Xaya into the world in January 2022 only to split from her boyfriend Jared just four weeks later.
She previously told The Sun newspaper’s Fabulous magazine: “I had no idea how hard it would be bringing [Xaya] up with someone who no longer lived under the same roof.
“Even when I was with my daughter, I was angry at my ex for putting me in this situation, and full of grief that we weren’t the perfect family I’d always dreamed of.
“And when Xaya was with Jared, I felt even worse. I was so lost and lonely I didn’t know what to do with myself.”
Malin – who has never publicly revealed Jared’s surname or his face – admitted to turning to “alcohol and drugs” whenever her daughter was with her ex.
She added: “Today I barely recognise that bewildered, out-of-control girl. After a lot of hard work and many ups and downs, Jared and I co-parent Xaya, now two, really well.”

Channel 4 commissions new lifestyle show Escape To Florida

OHMYGOSSIP — Channel 4 has commissioned a new lifestyle show set in Florida.
‘Escape to Florida’ will provide audiences an insight into the lives of Brits living in the Sunshine State in a “20-part format”, as they see if residing in what many describe as a dream destination is all it’s cracked up to be.
Created by Waddell Media, its Executive producer Jannine Waddell MBE said: “This is a super-exciting commission for us.
“There are thousands of compelling highly motivated characters who have decided to take the plunge and make the life changing decision to move to the Sunshine State.
“We can’t wait to tell these amazing stories.”

Jayne Stanger, Senior Commissioning Editor at the broadcaster, said: “We all dream of living the good life and many Brits are lured by the sunshine, beaches and lack of language barrier that Florida has to offer.
“Plenty of Brits travel there on holiday but what could it really be like to navigate living and working in a state that has no income tax but plenty of extreme weather and alligators!“
Jo Street, Director of Nations and Regions and Head of Lifestyle, added: “Our commitment to tell British stories, made by British companies for British audiences continues.
“We loved this positive and sunny format when it came in via the Sunshine Property brief we ran earlier this year, and its brilliant to working with talented team at Waddell Media again.”
It follows a series of property formats being commissioned by the broadcaster.
An air date for ‘Escape to Florida’ is yet to be announced.

Craig Revel Horwood predicts Strictly Come Dancing finalists

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Revel Horwood believes Tasha Ghouri and Chris McCausland are ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ finalists.
The 59-year-old star – who is the longest-serving judge on the hit BBC show – has praised the deaf ‘Love Island’ alumni and the blind comedian for their “incredible” respective routines each week, and says their journey to lifting the coveted Glitterball trophy is looking likely.
He told Closer magazine: “Well, Tasha is absolutely amazing. Every dance she’s done has been incredible – whether she’ll win or not is another thing.
“But I think Chris is doing really well, too. Very surprising. I didn’t think he would have as much rhythm as he has, and he’s great.
“I think he’ll be a finalist, I think Tasha will be a finalist.”
Former Olympian turned ‘Gladiator’ star Montell Douglas, 38, has also become one to watch for Craig, who has been impressed by her routines with her pro Johannes Radebe.
The judge added: “I love Montell, as well. She’s wonderful.”
Saturday night (09.11.24) saw Tasha and her dance partner Aljaž Škorjanec, 34, top the leaderboard after their Quickstep to Mariah Carey’s ‘Fantasy’ wowed the judges and earned 37 points out of 40.
Meanwhile, Chris, 47, and his pro dancer Dianne Buswell, 35, delivered a poignant Couples’ Choice routine to ‘Instant Karma’ by John Lennon.
They came sixth with 33 points, while the routine impressed the judges by imitating blindness.
At one point, Chris covered Dianne’s eyes with his hands as the studio ballroom turned to darkness.
When the lights flicked back on, Chris was seen spinning her around on his shoulders as pyrotechnics sparkled behind him.
On the night, Craig described it as “absolutely spectacular”.
Head Judge Shirley Ballas, 64, said he comes out every week “with [his] heart on [his] sleeve, and [he] give[s] us 100 per cent”.
Speaking on this year’s competition, Craig added to Closer: “Every year surprises me.You always think: ‘Oh, it’ll never be as good as last year,’ but it’s the casting that really makes it.
“Everyone’s main ambition is to get to Blackpool. Once they’ve got to Blackpool, their main ambition is to win it because they think they can.
“They get hungrier, and then the competition really hots up.”

Top secret EastEnders scripts left on train

OHMYGOSSIP — Top secret scripts featuring the ‘EastEnders’ Christmas storyline have been recovered after being accidentally left on a train.
The documents – marked “rehearsal scripts” – are believed to have been misplaced by an actress working on the BBC soap who left them on a Thameslink train at Elstree and Borehamwood station in Hertfordshire close to the studios where the show is filmed on the morning of October 31 and they were turned over to The Sun newspaper after a passenger picked them up.
It’s been revealed the three scripts show a key character gets killed off over the festive period. The commuter’s wife told the publication: “He’s not much of a soap fan but he knows I love them, so told me straight away.
“I was very excited — I love ‘EastEnders’. I couldn’t wait to read the script and wasn’t disappointed. There’s a real twist that will shock everyone and a main character is killed off. It’s an incredible storyline.”
The passenger’s wife revealed she saw who had lost the scripts because the actress’ lines had been highlighted and she attempted to get them back to her but received no response. They were handed over to The Sun and then returned to soap bosses.
A spokeswoman for the soap said: “A big thank you to The Sun for the safe return of our festive scripts.
“We know just how much the audience loves watching the drama unfold for themselves, rather than having it spoilt – so our surprises will remain a treat this Christmas and beyond.”
No further details about the Christmas plot has been revealed but director Christopher McGill recently teased the new year episodes will be “packed with icons”.
In a post on X, he wrote: “Week Two on our monstrous New Year @bbceastenders episodes. A room packed (PACKED) with EastEnd icons. #continuingdrama (sic)”
Chris’ comment sparked speculation that several other big-name ‘EastEnders’ legends could be set to return to the soap after Tracy-Ann Oberman reprised her role as Chrissie Watts, and Walford also welcomed Patsy Palmer (Bianca Jackson) and Michael French (David Wicks) back.
Louisa Lytton is also due to return to Albert Square to reprise her role as Ruby Allen.
It was also recently reported that Nancy and Lee Carter (Maddy Hill and Danny Hatchard) could be heading back to the soap to film a funeral episode.

Michelle Yeoh had never heard of Wicked

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Yeoh had never heard of ‘Wicked’ before she was asked to join the cast of the movie-musical.
The Oscar-winning actress plays Madame Morrible in the new film version of the hit stage show – which is based around characters first seen on screen in 1939 movie ‘The Wizard of Oz’ – but she’s confessed she knew nothing about the popular musical before she was approached by director Jon M. Chu about joining the cast.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, she said: “At that point had no clue what he was talking about because I had not seen ‘Wicked’ the musical before. I knew ‘Wizard of Oz’, who doesn’t, but not ‘Wicked’ because I hadn’t been going to the theatres and not doing what I love which is watching musicals, for quite a while I hate to say.”
The new movie stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda during their time at Shiz University in the Land of Oz with Michelle’s character Madame Morrible serving as the school’s headmistress.
Michelle went on to say: “So I read it [the script] and called Jon back and said, ‘This is a musical and she sings’. And he said, ‘Oh easy, you’ll have fun, you’re up for the challenge’.
“And then the next thing I knew I get this video call and it was him with Ariana and Cynthia saying, ‘It’s imperative you come and join us now’.”
However, Michelle was scared about singing onscreen for the first time. She explained: “I was terrified, I was not just nervous … The process of exercising, learning to use the muscles in a different way, was actually very, very good for me because it helps with my voice as an actor. So I had fun.”
The movie has been filmed in two parts and the first hits cinemas on November 22.
