OHMYGOSSIP — Liberty Poole and Kaz Kamwi have reassured fans they are doing “OK” after being threatened at knifepoint.
The ‘Love Island’ stars were in Los Angeles and left stunned when a 40-year-old woman came at them with a weapon as they got out of their car on Thursday (28.04.22), but fortunately two male passers-by jumped to their defence and apprehended the stranger.
A source told The Sun on Sunday’s Bizarre column: “Liberty and Kaz had been just heading to a party and got out of their car in the wrong part of the neighbourhood.
“Out of the blue, this woman appeared with a knife and threatened them.
“Liberty and Kaz were obviously shocked and terrified — especially because guns are legal in the US.
“But fortunately for them, two men who had been walking past came to their rescue and called the police.
“The girls have been left shaken up by the incident and are just surprised that it happened to them.
“But they’re grateful that the two men were in the right place at the right time, to help them.”
The pair flew to California to attend the Coachella music festival and are determined to put the scary incident behind them to enjoy the rest of their vacation.
The insider added: “They’re now determined to put the scary incident behind them for the rest of their once-in-a-lifetime trip.”
And breaking their silence, Kaz said on her Instagram Story on Sunday (02.05.22): “We wanted to jump on really quickly and say thank you to all the messages we have received.”
Liberty added: “Obviously, it was a scary incident that happened Thursday, but we didn’t want it to affect the rest of our holiday so we’ve just been continuing on as normal and living our best lives.
“And obviously, it’s horrible that that happened, but we’re OK and that’s the main thing that we’re safe.”
The pair have since returned home.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Larkins’ is returning for a second series.
Bradley Walsh and Joanna Scanlan will reprise their roles as Pop and Ma Larkin in the upcoming instalment of the reboot of the hit 90s programme ‘The Darling Buds of May’.
After just one series portraying Mariette Charlton – who was played by Catherine Zeta-Jones in the original show – Sabrina Bartlett will be replaced by Joelle Rae as the eldest Larkin daughter.
A new family, the Jerebohms, are set to be introduced and soon come to blows with the Larkins.
‘Taskmaster’ star Morgana Robinson is set to play the mother, Pinkie, while ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ actor Hector Bateman-Harden will portray her son Gilbert and Lucy Allix is her daughter Blanche.
The second series will also see Reverend Candy, played by Maxim Ays, arrive in the village, who Primrose Larkin (Lydia Page) falls head-over-heels for.
The returning cast includes Tok Stephen as Cedric ‘Charley’ Charlton, Peter Davison (the Vicar), Kriss Dosanjh (Brigadier), Amelia Bullmore (Miss Edith Pilchester) and Seeta Indrani (Miss Chand).
Plus, Robert Bathurst (Johnny Delamere), Francesca Wilson Waterworth (Libby Fothergill), Barney Walsh (PC Harness), Tony Gardner (Alec Norman), and Selina Griffiths (Norma Norman).
And Liam Middleton (Montgomery Larkin), Lola Shepelev (Victoria Larkin), Summer Miller (Zinnia Larkin) and Sienna Miller (Petunia Larkin).
Just like the 2021 series, season two will also be a six-parter.
Andy De Emmony will direct once again and filming is set to take place this summer.

OHMYGOSSIP — John Whaite is heartbroken after his West End debut was cancelled.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ runner-up – who lost out to Rose Ayling-Ellis on last year’s series of the BBC One Latin and ballroom show – has been left devastated after it was announced that Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Cinderella’ musical will bow out with its final performance on June 12, the month before the ‘Great British Bake Off’ winner was due to begin his stint as Prince Charming.
John, 32, reacted to the news on his Instagram Story: “This is heartbreaking news for me because I was due to take the role of Prince Charming in July.
“But more so for the current cast, band and production who have battled through Covid to bring a brilliant new show to the stage.
“My heart goes out to each and every one of them.
“I was lucky enough to watch ‘Cinderella’ in December 2021 and it was one of the most wonderful musicals I’ve seen in a long time.”
The show began it’s run at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in August last year, after being delayed by the pandemic.
The planned closure comes after the 74-year-old musical theatre icon was forced to deny claims he berated his young cast members over poor reviews for his latest musical, but he urged them to realise they work in the “service industry”.
Lloyd Webber told BBC Radio 4 in November: “What I was saying to everybody is… the younger cast don’t really realise all the time that we are actually a service industry and nobody has a right to be on the stage.
“I don’t have a right to have my musicals in the theatre. What we have to do is try to give the best performances possible.
“All I was saying is that that’s what we have to do and the cast we’ve got at Cinderella are a really, really wonderful cast who are well capable of doing that. But this has been wildly exaggerated.”
He insisted his comments had “nothing to do with” a review by the New York Times newspaper’s theatre critic Johnny Oleksinski.
The production is based on a book by ‘The Crown’ star Emerald Fennell and loosely on the classic Disney fairy tale.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant and Dec have reportedly been given £1 million each to reprise their ‘Byker Grove’ roles of PJ and Duncan.
The Geordie duo – whose full names are Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly – are said to have been given the bumper paycheck to transform back into their rap alter egos for a Santander ad, The Mirror reports.
The pair were photographed in colorful 90s’ baggy attire – complete with snapback hats – riding Santander bikes in London.
The comedians first starred in television commercials for the bank in 2019.
The duo shot to fame on the teen drama series, in which they played Peter ‘PJ’ Jenkins and Duncan Sperring.
Series five, which aired in 1993, saw PJ and Duncan form a band and sign a record deal.
They released the debut album, ‘Psyche’, a year later, which featured the hit single ‘Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble’.
Last year, Ant and Dec paid tribute to the creator of ‘Byker Grove’ following her death.
Adele Rose sadly died of pneumonia aged 87 on December 28, 2020.
A post on their official Twitter account read: “We are very sad to hear of the passing of Adele Rose, the creator of #BykerGrove. She was an incredible lady and a wonderful writer. We will always be grateful for what she did for us and the North East. Thank you Adele and rest in peace. X (sic)”
As well as writing and creating ‘Byker Grove’ – a drama set in a youth club in the Byker district of Newcastle – Adele was the first female writer on ‘Coronation Street’, and she penned more than 400 episodes of the ITV soap.
John Whiston, head of ITV in the North, admitted Adele was “particularly adept” at “giving voice” to some of the iconic female characters in Weatherfield.
He said: “Not only was Adele a trailblazer, being the very first in what is now a long line of brilliant female ‘Coronation Street’ writers, she was also particularly adept at giving voice to some of Corrie’s classic fearless female characters, from Ena to Elsie, from Bet to Liz.
“If you watched ‘Corrie’ growing up, then some of the most memorable episodes that are lodged in your mind were written by Adele. And for that the show will always be hugely grateful.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Crosby has opened up about her “high risk” pregnancy.
The 31-year-old reality TV star – who previously suffered an ectopic pregnancy in 2016 with her ex-boyfriend Gaz Beadle – is expecting her first child with boyfriend Jake Ankers and has been nervous about her pregnancy.
She wrote on Instagram: “going into my scans was completely new to me, I was so nervous for so many reasons after my EP I’m high risk for complications.
“BUT seeing the baby in the correct place with a healthy beating heart At our first ever scan was nothing short of a miracle to me and my partner.
“I didn’t expect to see much movement at our first ever scan but the baby had other plans it was like a little acrobat in there turning and spinning and rolling around I was in awe (sic).”
Meanwhile, the ‘Geordie Shore’ star had previously opened up about feeling the “pressure” to start a family.
She told her Instagram followers: “I feel like in friendship groups, when a lot of your friends are having babies, you just feel a certain amount of pressure to do the same.
“I know that I have felt this. I have felt this pressure and it comes from everyone. It comes from other women which is so strange to say.
“If I was to do a question and answers on here, every single question off women, not really off men, but off women would be, ‘When are you having a baby? When are you having a baby then?’ I feel like there’s the pressure right there. There’s the pressure.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Jay and Dom’s Home Fix’ has been axed.
The BBC daytime programme – which sees hosts Jay Blades and Dom Chinea offer affordable DIY tips and tricks to viewers – has been axed after just two series in order to make way for new programmes in the network’s schedule.
Jay told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: “We aren’t doing any more of it.”
And a BBC spokesperson confirmed: “We loved working with Jay and Dom on ‘Home Fix’, and after two brilliant series we’re making space in the schedule for new commissions.”
Although Jay is likely to be disappointed by the show’s cancellation, it will potentially give him some free time to train for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ as he recently admitted he’d love to take part this year after getting a taster when he partnered Luba Mushtuk in the 2021 festive special.
He said: “I tell you what, it would be nice but the only thing is, there’s so much other filming that I’m looking to do so, ‘The Repair Shop’ is kind of like full on.
“We film like six days a week so it’d be hard to fit it in – yeah.
“I’m not saying no, yeah.”
Despite Jay’s hugely respectable score of 34 points, he and Luba were beaten to the Glitterball Trophy by singer Anne-Marie and Graziano Di Prima, who scored a perfect 40.
While Jay is up for putting his dancing shoes on again, the star recently admitted he found training for the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ Christmas special tougher than he expected.
He previously said: “I like new challenges, I never knew this would be this difficult. Learning dance routines means your brain has to function in a completely different way.
“When your brain gets it, hopefully your body catches up.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ will broadcast a hard-hitting male rape storyline next month.
The BBC soap will cover the subject for the first time when Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) is subjected to a shocking assault from new barman Lewis Butler (Aidan O’Callaghan), with producers turning to a number of charities, including SurvivorsUK, Survivors Manchester and the Male Survivors Partnership, to ensure they tackle the topic sensitively.
Max is “honoured” to be involved with the storyline.
He said: “Alongside some wonderful charities, and some very inspirational survivors of male sexual assault in the UK, I think we’ve been able to really strive to tell the most truthful account we can, and I hope we can raise awareness and understanding on a topic that is rarely covered.
“I’m honoured to be given this opportunity to tell such an important story.”
The storyline and its aftermath are set to play out over several months.
BBC head of continuing drama Kate Oates said: “Ben has endured a traumatic time after witnessing a homophobic attack on Callum that brought back painful memories of losing Paul.
“As a result, Ben lost his way in life…which is when he found Lewis. Ben finds Lewis attractive, and thinks of him as a someone who can understand him in a way Callum does not; but that trust is abused when Lewis crosses a line and rapes Ben.
“Through this story, we hope to explore issues of consent, sexual identity, masculinity, and sexual assault, focusing on how this fateful night impacts Ben and those who love him over the coming months.”
Rape charity SurvivorsUK hope the plot will encourage male victims to come forward instead of suffering in silence.
Services Manager Marta Almeida said: “Almost all of us will know a man who has been sexually assaulted at some point, but a huge number of male survivors still don’t feel there’s a space for them to come forward.
“Storylines like this one are an amazing opportunity to explore the reality for so many men, families and communities up and down the UK.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije hasn’t met Dan Walker yet.
The 45-year-old presenter announced earlier this month he’ll be leaving ‘BBC Breakfast’ to join rival network Channel 5, and although he’ll be working with Claudia on ‘5 News’ four days a week, his co-anchor admitted they haven’t sat down face to face yet.
Claudia told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “I’m looking forward to getting to know Dan. The suspense is killing me.
“We have swapped numbers and message now and again. I’m just trying to get the nerve to call him.”
Last year, Dan took part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and Claudia admitted she’d love to follow in his footsteps.
She said: “I have my eye on ‘Strictly’ so I hope he can give me some tips.”
As well as ‘5 News’, Dan will also cover for Jeremy Vine and present six hours of primetime shows a year and he recently admitted he’s delighted about the “fantastic opportunity”, insisting he wasn’t motivated by money.
While sitting alongside his co-host Sally Nugent, he said on his morning show: “This has been a really difficult decision, probably the hardest decision in my career because I love you to bits and I really love working here and I love the team at ‘BBC Breakfast’.
“The six years I’ve had on this sofa has been the best six years of my career by some distance, but I think sometimes opportunities come along and you have to grab them, don’t you?
“I’ve never ever been motivated by money in any job I’ve ever taken and even though I love ‘BBC Breakfast’ and everyone who works on the show, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with a brilliant team on Channel 5 and also go and make some other programmes outside of news.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Julia Bradbury has not yet been given the “all clear” from cancer.
The ‘Countryfile’ presenter underwent a mastectomy and had two lymph glands removed in October after being diagnosed with breast cancer last July, but she still has “micro-invasions” – tiny fragments of cancer cells which have leached into her breast tissue – so is trying to decide whether she should embark on hormone therapies which would help reduce the likelihood of the disease recurring.
She said: “They’re potentially life-saving drugs but they come with significant side effects for some women – joint pain, osteoporosis, trouble with your teeth, risk of uterine cancer and a running jump straight into menopause. I have young children to consider and it’s hard to know what’s best.”
The 51-year-old star – who has Zeph, 10, and seven-year-old twins Zena and Xanthe with husband Gerrard – has also undergone genetic testing which showed she has a higher than average risk of cancer returning in the future.
She told You magazine: “I’m in the top five or six per cent of women in the country in terms of the likelihood of recurrence. That puts me in the ‘moderate risk’ category – higher than the average woman – but, look, it’s about percentages and perspectives.
“The doctors have not found a huge spread of an aggressive cancer. I have lost my breast but been able to have an implant and keep my own nipple.
“I feel lucky and grateful every single day, and I have to learn to live with this risk, to accept the fragility of life, without it consuming me.”
But Julia admitted she wishes she had undergone the SNPs testing earlier in her life.
She said: “If I’d had SNPs testing when I was 40, I may not have needed a mastectomy.
“I would have been on a watch list, been more vigilant myself, started screening earlier and perhaps made some lifestyle changes a decade ago.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ayda Field is planning to return to ‘Loose Women’.
The former ‘X Factor’ judge hasn’t been on the panel of the ITV daytime show since December 2019 but now she and her husband Robbie Williams – with whom she has children Teddy, nine, Charlie, seven, Coco, three, and Beau, two – are planning to relocate back to the UK from Switzerland, she’s reportedly hoping to be back on the show some time this year.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “Once she is back and settled in the UK, Ayda wants to get back on Loose Women.
“She loved being a panellist and was part of the Loose family for years. ITV have made it clear she is more than welcome to return to the panel as she was a hugely popular character — not only with viewers but also with everyone who works on the show.
“Ayda has amazing A-list connections — and with Robbie as her husband, she always has a hilarious tale or two to tell.
“The show hasn’t been the same without her and she can’t wait to join the other Loose ladies as a guest panellist.”
Ayda last appeared on the show with her husband in 2020 via video link as part of an episode dedicated to the NHS.
It was recently reported that the 42-year-old star and the former Take That singer are planning to return to London soon.
A source said: “Robbie and Ayda have loved living in Switzerland the last few years, and the tranquility was a god-send during the pandemic.
“But they’ve decided they want to mix it up a bit and have a different pace of life for a bit. So they’re heading back to London.
“They’ve done quite a lot of work to it, and with the housing market on the up they reckon they’re going to make a fortune on it.”
